No, there's no way.
There's don't even have to nitpick it.
It's not a big deal, but it should be, but it's not gonna be, but it should be.
But it it wasn't an apology.
It wasn't an apology for what he did.
It was an apology that you he's sorry you misunderstood, you idiots.
Live from the Southern Command in Sunny South Florida.
It's open live Friday.
Yes, everybody, here we are, wrapping up another busy broadcast week of the Rush Limbaugh program and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network, a network named after the way I do this show.
People ask me, how did you name the network?
I said, I don't know.
Somebody said you have to have a name for your network.
And I yeah, I didn't, I didn't, you know, the parent company was EFM Media, but who knew what that was?
I said, I I will just call it the EIB network, excellence in broadcasting.
Why are you gonna do that?
Well, because that's what it is.
That's what it's gonna be, and it stuck.
And there we are.
We also, every day at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
And this is Friday, open line Friday, which means we try to take more phone calls than usual, and the reason for that is that we open it up.
Monday through Thursday, uh, callers, I'll go ahead and use the word, are restricted to things that will interest me, things I'm talking about or might want to talk about, because I don't want to be bored because if I get bored, the listeners get bored, it's not good.
But on Friday, that's what we risk, because we turn the content portion of the program when we go to the phones over to you and let you talk about whatever you want.
It's a I mean, if I were you, see if I were if I were a caller and I heard the host say, you can bring up anything you want, I would think it's a great opportunity.
But I'm not a caller, I'm the host.
And I may be misunderstanding how big a deal it is, but still it's there.
Here's the number again, 800 282882, and the email address, L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
So the media started having heart palpitations late yesterday afternoon.
The president apologized.
Finally.
The president apologized.
He had an interview with F. Chuck Todd on NBC, and the president apologized for lying to you.
That's what they said, but he didn't really do that, folks.
He didn't take any responsibility for his actions.
All he said was that he's sorry you misunderstood him.
He's sorry that your misunderstanding has made you unhappy.
He he did not apologize, nor is he sorry for lying to you when he said you could keep your policy and your doctor and your premiums would come down an average at 2500.
Now, he wants people to think that's what he did.
He wants people and the media dutifully reporting that Obama apologized for this.
But we parse the words of politicians here.
Because we think it's important.
Others accuse us of nitpicking.
This isn't nitpicking, it's simply getting it right.
It's just simple truth seeking, truth telling and accuracy.
But the end, and we got the sound bites, you can hear judge for yourself.
He doesn't take any responsibility.
He says, in fact, I think the real killer comment, I don't know if anybody else is we've got this coming up.
I don't know if anybody else has pointed this out to you.
They might have.
But the real telling comment here, I mean, this is limbaugh theorem stuff.
Obama, you know, one of these sound bites in his apology says, Yeah, I got burned by a website.
I got burned by a website.
I, as though here I am, I'm the president, and I farmed this Obamacare website out, and I got burned by all these incompetent boobs that know what they're doing.
I got Burned.
You didn't.
I'm the one that got burned.
I'm the guy that looks bad.
I'm the guy that's really harmed here.
That's what he said.
That's how that that's basically the summation of this.
He's ticked off.
He got burned.
Because you do not embarrass the dear leader like this.
You end up in a jail or dungeon if it's possible.
You just don't do this.
So let's just uh let's get to it.
Since it's uh fresh and foremost, there are other things, of course, that uh are here in the stack.
And I'll tell you this this the news out of uh Geneva regarding the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Folks, I don't know how else to categorize this or explain it to you.
This man, Barack Obama, is fundamentally transforming this nation in ways that are they're gonna be next to impossible to reverse in many ways.
The longer he goes, this do you realize that there has been the regime has been secretly working behind the scenes to lift the sanctions on Iran?
Iran is going to have the sanctions lifted without making any concessions in their nuclear program.
They're not going to have to tear down any centrifuges, they're not gonna have to dismantle anything, we're just gonna take the sanctions away.
And uh Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel is saying this is this is disastrous.
This is this is worse than a bad deal.
And he told he told Lurch uh uh by the way, some some have asked, I need to dispel something right quick.
You know, Liberty, the talking horse in Rush Revere and the Brave was not modeled after John Kerry.
I have had, I can't tell you how many people did you we've seen Liberty on the cover of your book.
You're thinking of John Kerry.
No, no, no, we wouldn't do that to Liberty.
Our horse doesn't purposely look like John Kerry, and I don't think it does.
Well, it doesn't it no?
What do you mean Sarah Jessica Parker?
That's the first I've heard of that.
A broadcast engineer just asked me if we modeled Liberty after Sarah Jessica Park.
No, nor did we model Liberty.
Now I can't help it if John Kerry looks like our horse, but it's not the other way around.
Anyway.
Netanyahu said he said to Kerry, you can't do this.
You cannot go to Geneva and do this.
You are undercutting yourselves, you're undercutting the world, you're undercutting us, your ally here.
But apparently, folks, this is the kind of thing that's irreversible.
If if Iran goes ahead with no sanctions now, gets the nuclear weapon, why would a president do this?
What possible reason, explanation could there be for basically removing the impediment to the world's perhaps number one terror state acquiring nuclear weapons?
Why would anybody in the United States want that to happen?
What is the benefit?
And who benefits from this outside of the Iranians?
What what possible advantage or achievement or upside for the United States is there for all the impediments to Obama uh to Iran's development of a nuclear weapon being removed with no concessions.
We're just going to remove the sanctions without them paying a price in any way.
They don't have to dismantle, they don't have to stop, they don't have to inspections, none of this.
It's the most curious thing.
And we'll get to that in greater detail.
Although that's pretty much it, other than for sharing people's reactions.
Also, you know, I've been going back and forth.
No, I'm not teaching.
I'm going to get to the Obama apology.
I just keep thinking of things.
This is why program isn't scripted, folks.
There's no producer and there's nobody shouting, well, you got to do this right now because it's 1215.
1215.
We don't do that.
I just we're improv here.
I got an email from my good friend the fish god today, Steve Abernathy in uh in New Orleans.
Now, Steve runs a tilapia fish farm.
And I call him the fish god because when I when I first went to visit his fish farm, north of New Orleans, it's across the lake, he was proudly showing me how he was changing male tilapia to female tilapia so that they would hatch more eggs and there would be more tilapia.
So what do you mean changing the sex?
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah, it's not exclusive to me.
All kinds of fish farmers like this.
We become expert in changing the sex.
You're kidding me.
I was I was shocked, because I'm not a aquaculturist.
Don't know much about this kind of thing.
So I started calling him the fish god.
And so he sends me this this email today about the death of a prominent entrepreneur in New Orleans by the name of uh.
Here it is.
I hadn't heard of this.
Uh it's a big, big story.
It's been going around since 2010.
Uh the entrepreneur is Larmondo Flair Allen.
Now I've got the newspaper obituary here of Larmondo Flair Allen.
He was 25 when he uh when he died uh gunshot wounds, had nine kids.
He did not know Antonio Cromarty of the New York Jets.
They had nine kids, he knew their names, and they're all published here.
And it's a fascinating story on on how Larmondo Flair Allen's entrepreneurism manifested itself.
And I had no idea.
So I it's one of these emails that's been floating around the internet since 2010, and I hadn't heard of it.
But the fish god sent it to me.
And the fish god's not an extremist kook wacko.
So one of the fish gods sent it to me.
Well, so I Googled Larmondo Flair Allen, and lo and behold, there must be 10 pages of news on this entrepreneur.
Snopes has looked into it.
The Daily Cause Kids thinks uh it's a right wing fabrication.
Uh but unable to find out just how true the act.
You got proof.
It is it's true.
You get all kids.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, no, no.
I'm not denying that the entrepreneur Larmondo Flair Allen was killed in a gun battle in New Orleans.
I'm not what there's nobody disputing that.
I mean, the newspaper story is real.
It's what accompanies the newspaper story and how he supported his family, his nine kids at age 25, and how basically they are set for life, and he never worked a day in his life.
And that's what the email here is about.
You you may have, I mean, it's been going around three years.
I hadn't seen it.
I delete this stuff.
When I think something is spam, I zap it.
Because I thought, why should I talk about something that 90,000 other people know about and talk about?
But when the fish god said it, the fish god doesn't send me uh wacko kook extremist spam stuff like that 10 things that Lincoln said that he didn't say.
So I have that.
We'll get we'll get to that.
So it's amazing.
This man, his children, all nine, are set for life, and their children are set for life.
His brothers and sisters, there are 20 of them.
They're set for life, and neither none of them have ever worked a day.
Well, maybe here or there, but none of them have really had careers.
They're just entrepreneurs.
New Orleans lost one of its finest back in uh 2010.
Anyway, if time permits, we'll get into that in uh great detail.
Now I'm told the story is actually going around since 2006.
It that's how big it is.
That's how big the uh story is.
So 2004 is when Larmondo Flair Allah was kissed.
So it's nine years ago, and this story, the the the entrepreneurial aspects of this man are so profound.
The story is has has stayed around for nine years.
Almost ten.
Now, I I think Obama probably said to the mullahs in Tehran, if you like your nuclear program, you can keep your nuclear program.
And he meant it when he said it to them.
You like your nuclear program, you oh, by the way, guess Grab Soundbite 3.
Changing up in midstream here.
Rick Perry, Des Moines, Iowa, last night, Polk County Republican Party fundraising dinner.
Here is the governor of Texas, Rick Perry.
Today we're watching this new national health care law literally unravel before our eyes.
The president said no one would lose their health plan, except of course the millions of Americans who will.
To quote Rush Limbaugh.
Next he'll be saying, if you lack your guns, you'll be able to keep them.
You like your gun, you can keep your gun.
Beware, folks, if Obama tells you that.
If you like your gun, you can keep it.
All right, here we go.
NBC News, F. Chuck Todd, their big scoop.
Obama apologized for lying to the American people when he told them he could keep their health insurance if they liked it, keep their doctor if they liked him, and their premiums that go down $2,500.
But he didn't apologize for that.
Essentially, what he says here is that he is sorry you believed him.
That's really what it comes down to.
He's sorry you believed him.
Here we go with the first bite.
If Chuck Todd, let me start with health care, Mr. President.
Probably the most quoted thing you've said in your presidency.
If you like your health plan, you keep it.
You said it a lot during the run-up.
At this point, though, it's obviously a promise that has not been able to be kept.
Just today, the Denver Post reported 250,000 people in Colorado are seeing health insurance policies canceled.
Some of those people like those policies, and they can't keep them.
What happened?
I meant what I said, and we worked hard to try to make sure that we implemented it properly.
But obviously we didn't do enough uh good enough job, uh, and I regret that.
Uh we're talking about five percent of the population uh who are in what's called the individual market, they're out there buying health insurance on their own.
I am deeply concerned about it, and I've assigned my team to see what can we do to close some of the holes and gaps in the law, because you know, my intention is to lift up and make sure the insurance that people buy is effective.
And so we're gonna have to work hard to make sure that those folks uh are you know taken care of.
Wow, this is really cool.
So if Chuck says, okay, people losing their policy, you said they could keep them, what happened?
Obama said I meant what I said.
When what are you talking about, Mr. You meant when you said what?
And he said, Well, we worked hard to try to make sure that we implemented it properly, but we didn't do enough, good enough job.
I regret that.
We're talking about five percent of the population.
Oh, you're now you're talking about almost all the population before all of said and done.
Ah, look at I gotta take a break.
Oh, darn it, because the the real big bite was coming next.
Oh, geez.
Here's the next sound bite with F. Chuck Todd asking Obama, okay.
So you tell people that they keep their plan, Dr. LFA liked them and they can't.
Just today, Colorado, 250,000 people.
What happened?
What went wrong?
I regret very much that what we intended to do, which is to make sure that everybody is moving into better plans because they want them, as opposed to because they're forced into it.
That you know, we weren't as clear as we needed to be uh in terms of the changes that were taking place.
Even though it's a small percentage of folks who may be disadvantaged, you know, it means a lot to them, and it's scary to them.
Uh, and I am sorry that they uh you know are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me.
Now that's it.
He did not apologize for lying.
He didn't even get close to apologizing for lying.
I know some of you say it's a rush, big deal.
So what?
I know.
We did all this with Clinton when he was lying and nobody cared.
I know, but it's still the historical record.
What Obama is saying here is sorry you believe me.
So I think this is a different kind of lie than what Clinton told.
This went through this earlier this week.
This deeply personal lie.
This is purposeful, and I you know this needs to be hammered.
And now he's a he's apologizing based.
I'm sorry you believe me.
On that, I'm sorry that you listened to me that closely.
You weren't supposed to hear it that way.
That's what he's saying.
It's open line Friday, Rush Limbaugh, back at you.
You're at 800-282-288-2, email address, ill rushboard e IB net.com.
Some people might say, come on, Rush, this uh Obama apology.
I think it is important to get the truth on this.
He's not apologizing for what he said, folks.
He's not apologizing for anything that's happened.
He's not apologizing for what he did.
He's not apologizing for Obamacare at all.
He's apologizing for how you misunderstood him.
He's sorry that you believed him.
Uh he employed the limbaugh theorem.
He claimed he's a victim too.
It was it was predicted.
Even before.
You know, when I heard that he was able to go on NBC and apologize, I know what he was going to do.
He's gonna set himself up as a victim.
He is victim number one, by the way, in this country.
He sets himself up as an outsider.
He's not really governing, and all these other people are gonna have screwed something up.
Damn it.
And he he's just as he's as excited as anybody is to get it fixed.
He's as mad as anybody is that it went wrong.
And he's as mad as anybody is that what he said isn't true.
And he and then somebody's gonna pay the price.
He's gonna get somebody's gonna pay for this.
And that's just the way he does it.
Claimed he's a victim.
He even said, he said, look, I uh uh I was burned by website.
Uh I was burned by what's the president of the United States talking.
I was burned by a website.
Meaning everything in this plan's cool.
It's the greatest thing under the sun.
It's a stupid website doesn't work.
I got burned bar website.
I'm only here having to apologize.
Got a stupid website.
But most of all, he acts like he didn't have anything to do with the situation that people are quote finding themselves in.
Yes.
He didn't have anything to do with it.
It's your problem.
He's really sorry that you believed him.
This is like all these athletes that get caught.
They say, that's not me.
That you know the person that stole that car and ran it into the bridge abutment with an alcohol level of five point.
That's not who I am.
Well, it's where you well, that's it's not who I am.
And if I've offended anybody, I am really sorry.
So you don't apologize for what you do, you apologize for however incorrectly people interpreted what you did.
If he were really sorry about these cancellations, he'd do something about it.
He could remove these provisions.
He could do any number of things if he wants.
If he were really sorry about what's happening to people, he could change it.
But we know this, he's changing anything he wants anytime.
But he's not changing anything.
And by the way, let's numbers are tough on the radio, but he keeps throwing this number out.
Five percent of the population, as though it's no big deal.
We're only talking about five percent of the population.
That any big deal, it's just a minor.
Well, you know, one way putting that number in perspective.
Gays, best guesstimates, gays are 1.7% of the population, according to UCLA, not me.
According to UCLA, the gay population of America, 1.7%.
But we're concerned about gays, aren't we?
I mean, we Don't in dealing with gay rights or gay this or gay that, you never hear Obama say, well, we're just talking about 1.7%.
No, it's made to sound like they're half the population.
But in this case, well, 5% of the population.
It's only 15 million people.
Come on.
That's 15 million people.
Real live, breathing human beings whose lives are being torn upside down because of all of this.
And let's keep something else in mind.
Of the supposedly, remember that the best guess number that's been, I guess the most consistent number thrown around of the uninsured, I guess, is around the 30, 45 million, 43 number.
And of the of that number, only about 18 million could afford insurance and decided not to get it.
I hear it.
The point is that less than 5% of the population was enough to justify Obama completely destroying our health care system.
In other words, of the whatever the number is uninsured, 30 million, the vast majority of them were uninsured on purpose.
They were young people, they didn't want to spend the money on it.
They weren't running around thinking they were going to die the next day.
They weren't running around thinking they're going to get in a car crash that would send them into bankruptcy.
They weren't thinking they were going to get a terminal disease the next day.
They were eating trans fats, they were drinking beer, 32-ounce soft drinks, and enjoying life.
They did not want to buy health insurance.
In fact, the vast majority of the uninsured didn't buy it on purpose.
The Democrats are running around, oh, whoa, is us, all these poor people.
Everybody's desperate to have health insurance and they can't afford it.
So we had to upend essentially for 5% of the population.
We have a totally upend the American health care system.
And it's now a disaster.
And I don't care how you slice it, the president of the United States repeatedly for three years, looked the American people in the eye and knowingly lied.
Don't forget what we know.
It's in the Federal Register, the Bible, the diary of the federal government.
Administration officials in discussions with each other at various levels, departments, all agreed that when Obamacare was implemented, 93 million Americans would lose their current plans.
They knew this.
Again, if everybody liked their plan, why reform anything?
If everybody liked what they had, I mean, Obama's running around saying, if you like your plan, you can keep it.
Why did he say that?
Why did he lie?
Well, one of the reasons was to get support for the reform that was coming.
Another reason for the lie was to create this image, but that not much was really going to change.
That all we're going to do here is uh insure the uninsured.
If you like your plan, you get to keep it.
If you like your doctor, you get to keep it.
And because of my brilliance, your premium's gonna go on $2,500.
Well, who wouldn't support that?
I get to keep my plan, the uninsured get insured in it, because it cost me $2,500.
Who wouldn't sign up for that?
So it was a purposeful, multi-pronged lie.
But the proof in the pudding, if 90% of the American people like their plans, why reform anything?
Why blow up the health care system?
And then try to put it back together under government control.
If everybody was already happy.
And they must have been, or otherwise Obama wouldn't have lied about that.
I'm sure they had all kinds, I'm sure they do now.
I think the reason for this, this faux apology yesterday was focus group polling.
I'm sure they're being beat up left and right in the focus.
I'm sure that they looked at the election results in Virginia and are scared to death.
They know what an albatross around Democrats next this Obamacare is.
So he goes out and now compounds the original lie with a fake apology.
But I I want I I want to focus here on the original lie and ask you to think about that for a second.
Throughout this whole debate, one of the things that Democrats and the president said was that the healthcare system's broken and nobody's happy with it.
But the primary, and I don't think there's any question about this.
The primary sales technique, the number one selling point used by the president was if you like what you have now, you can keep it.
That was what he used to sell everybody on accepting it.
Why tell them that?
If you know you're going to blow it up, and if you know nobody's going to be able to keep their plan, why tell them that?
Because there really was no justification for doing what he's doing in real life because most people liked what they had.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have made his number one selling point.
You get to keep yours if you like it.
If he hadn't lied about that, and instead told people that because of what we need to accomplish, you're not going to be able to keep your current plan.
If he would have gone anywhere near truthfulness on this, he might not have been re-elected.
So the whole thing here is a, I mean, a giant scam predicated on a false premise.
The false premise of two of them.
All these uninsured, and everybody that had insurance was miserable and angry and hated it.
And that equaled the need for massive reform.
But then, oh, by the way, you like your plan, you can keep it.
You like your doctor, you can keep.
Well, why even say that to people if they're mad at what they've got and don't like their plans and they're fed up?
So the number one selling point was you don't have to change anything.
So why do we do this in the first place then?
Well, look.
The reason we're doing this is because Barack Obama is a leftist activist, a socialist, a communist, a collectivist, I don't care what you want to do, but he's not just a liberal democrat.
He is far more radical in that.
And the purpose of taking over the health care system is the control of as much of everyone's life as possible.
And running the health care system from Washington gives you that control.
Because everything you do in your life is at some point going to have a cost component to your health care.
Because we're all gonna die and we're all gonna get sick and we're all gonna need treatment.
And with those people in charge of who gets treated and who doesn't, based on how much it's gonna cost, they get to control how you live.
So they then now go get to go ban trans fats.
Yeah, we're gonna ban trans fats because it leads to more heart attacks, and that puts a cost to the health care system.
And they make it look like they're doing it all for your benefit because they really care about you, but government doesn't care.
Obama doesn't care.
Obama coerces.
But I really I I am I'm I'm I'm still fixated on the very beginning.
If you like your plan, you get to keep it.
The number one selling point, which to me argues no need for any change.
And he lied through his teeth because he knew people weren't gonna be able to keep their plans.
If he had gone on television and said for two years, sorry, you can't keep your plan.
For my Obamacare to work, you're going to have to give up your plan and join a different pool.
And some of you are going to find Your costs doubled and tripled.
He wouldn't have been re-elected.
He had to lie to people, but he lied about something deeply personal.
And now he goes out with F. Chuck Todd at NBC and wants you to think that he's sorry he lied to you.
But he's not sorry he lied to you.
He's happy he got away with it.
He's happy that he can now go apologize for you misunderstood.
He's sorry if you're offended.
He's sorry if you bothered to believe him.
And now he's using a limball theorem.
Gee, you know, we all kind of get screwed here, but I'm gonna get to the bottom of this.
I'm gonna find out who did this.
In his interview with F. Chuck Todd, Obama never once mentioned those lousy old plans that he was constantly trashing just the day before.
That must not be testing well with the focus groups.
Those lousy old plans, remember that?
Because that lousy old plan turns out was the one you liked and wanted to keep.
That lousy old plan, we're going to get rid of it, and you're going to get an upgrade.
May cost you a little bit more.
He didn't tell you that, though.
The big takeaway, Obama doesn't care, folks.
That's what's really clear.
He lied for power.
He lied for gain, personal gain, political gain, political power.
He lied to fundamentally transform this country into something it was never intended to be.
And he is happy as a clam that he has gotten away with it.
Just a couple of more Obama sound bites.
Because you gotta, you gotta hit a limbaugh theorem aspect of this uh where Obama makes himself out to be a victim of all this.
So F. Chuck Todd says, do you understand if people are going to be skeptical of the next promise you make?
Or are you concerned that people are going to be wondering, geez, uh what's the fine print that he's not telling me?
You do you get that people might be a little more skeptical of you?
Forget the partisans, just average Americans, Mr. President.
People know that I speak my mind and I tell folks what I think, and I've been very clear about what I'm trying to do.
And I think most people know that, even if they disagree with me on certain issues, uh, that I'm every day working hard to try to make life a little bit better for middle class families who are and folks who are trying to get in the middle class who are doing the right thing and being responsible.
I mean, we're talking about 5% of the population.
Yeah, gays are 1% of the population, 1.7% here again, it's 50.
And it's it's not just 5% of the population.
So the hell with them.
It's only 5%.
Screw them.
I'll tell you this, this is I'm working harder for you, and I'm everybody knows I'm working.
It's only 5%.
Who cares?
Probably Republicans anyway.
So what?
It's just 5%.
And here's the here's the I've been burned by a website.
I am deeply frustrated about how this website has not worked over the first couple of weeks.
And you know, I take responsibility of that.
I'm confident that it will be even better by November 30th, and that the majority of people are gonna be able to get on there.
Having said that, given that I've been burned already with a website, well, more importantly, the American people have been burned by uh a website that has been dysfunctional.
What we've also been doing is creating a whole other set of tracks, making sure that people can apply by phone effectively, making sure that people comply in person effectively.
Okay, so he catches himself.
I mean, that's really stepping in it.
You know, I've been burned by a website, given that I've been burned already.
Well, more importantly, more than the American people.
Um we've been setting up a whole other set of tricks.
Ladies and gentlemen, I I don't know how to explore.
I you and I all know.
This man hasn't the slightest clue what he's doing.
Not operational.
He doesn't know how to set up a website, doesn't it?
But here's the thing, he doesn't care really.
That's not he in one sense, he is really way far ahead, everybody else, because he doesn't care how much pain and suffering this causes.
He doesn't care if people are losing their policies.
That's not what this is about.
What he cares about is changing this country.
He doesn't like the way this country's been operating.
He doesn't like the way it's founded, and he's getting he's getting away with changing it.
He doesn't care about all this.
The fact he has to go on this stupid interview and fake being sorry bothers him more than anything.
But something his handlers told him he had to do.
This is all just rampant incompetence in the real world thing.
Okay, we promise, folks.
No, it's open line Friday, and so we'll get to the phones early in the next hour.
Sit tight.
We'll be back.
