If you want to be on the program, where is the social justice?
African Americans, when they find out about this, they don't know this, when they find out, they're going to be asking themselves, where's our quantitative easing?
Why is anybody pumping us up?
Again, if you just joined the Census Bureau data, we've just covered the fact that median family income in this country is down from 2009.
It's down $2,000 a year.
Oh, by the way, in addition to all of that, before I get into this other thing, in addition to the number of poor people up, the number of people in poverty up, the number of people losing their jobs up, the number of jobs lost, all of this, the one thing that none of these stories cover is another thing that's going on, and that is the price of gasoline has been over $3 a gallon for 20 months now.
Now, Obamacare is going to raise everybody's health care costs.
Premiums are going to skyrocket.
The cost of food is way up.
Gasoline over $3.
So with all of these basic needs, health insurance, food, gasoline, big increases, the fact that salaries are stagnant is even more devastating because everything's getting more expensive.
And yet the New York Times wants to persist in this farce that there's some sort of economic recovery going on because, of course, it's all about Obama and Obama must be made to look good.
It's an absolute disaster.
And again, folks, despite some interruptions with some really good work in those interruptions, this country's been run by liberal Democrats since Woodrow Wilson.
And arguably the most impactful growth of government policies have been made by Democrats, FDR, LBJ, and now the most radical of all of them, Barack Obama.
There have been interruptions of Republicans running things.
Reagan, Bush, running the House for a few years, but nowhere near the 40 consecutive years the Democrats ran it.
The vast majority of economic policy and result in this country has been by Democrat Party policy and politics, liberalism.
And yet, all the people who are supposed to benefit from voting Democrat are doing miserably.
All the people the Democrats are looking out for are doing miserably.
The black population in this country has seen their family busted up, their families.
What, one in, what is it, 73% of black babies are born to a single parent household because of the federal government assuming the role of husband and father via welfare payments under the guise of compassion.
Well, just to go through this again, you look at median income by race, it gets even worse.
Asian households, highest median income in 2012, $68,000.
Median income, non-Hispanic white households, $57,000.
Hispanic households, median income, 39, and at the bottom, black households, 33,000.
Now, the Asians, let me repeat again, don't have anybody looking out for them.
The Asians are entirely on their own.
White people don't have anybody looking out for them.
And they're number two.
The groups that have the Democrat Party as their stewards, as their guarantors, as their whatever you want to call them, sugar daddies, whatever it is, the groups depending on the Democrat Party are at the bottom of every list.
Hispanics, African Americans, black unemployment, teenage black unemployment.
It's near criminal levels.
And they got to be asking themselves, where is the social justice?
Where in the world is their social justice?
And what is this with the Asians?
How the hell can they be at the top of the list when nobody's doing anything to help them?
And Asians are a minority, by the way.
And I thought, by the way, Asians have been discriminated against.
A, they were made to build a railroad.
B, they were put in internment camps by another great Democrat, FDR.
They've been discriminated left and right.
That's my point.
How in the hell are they at the top of the heap?
They've been discriminated against, but I don't know where the JAACP is or the Chinese version of the NAALCP.
I don't know where those groups are.
Where's the Asian union leadership?
Oh, yeah, they had Charlie Tree and John Wong, but those are a couple of get-rich-quick artists who were skirting on Clinton's back end.
There's a lesson here.
They depend on themselves.
Their culture is traditionally American, even though they're Asian.
They come here and they run rings of them.
And I remember back, far back as the 1980s, when I lived in Sacramento, the University of California was already having problems because the Asians were acing everybody on admittance scores.
And they were going to have to start discriminating.
They were going to limit Asian admissions because they were outdoing everybody simply because they were studying harder.
They were just working at it.
They were getting better grades because they're working harder.
And the University of California says, we got a problem.
So here came affirmative action for admissions and all this stuff to take care of the unfairness.
And the unfairness was that some people were working harder than others.
Now, we can't have that.
But when you strip all this away, the worst investment you as a human being can make for your future is the Democrat Party.
It's the worst investment you can, unless you're a Hollywood liberal, unless you're a Wall Street fat cat, unless you already have your money and can influence the Democrat Party to let you keep yours.
Unless you happen to have enough money to donate to them, you are making the worst investment you can make by throwing in with the Democrats.
And the numbers bear it out.
This is not even opinion.
You throw in the fact that gasoline costs are steadily above three bucks and all the other household necessities rising with all this salary stagnation.
And It's even more devastating.
Just is.
Now, we're going to get to your phone calls here in just a second, folks.
This is on Tuesday.
This is yesterday.
A group of 50 international scientists released a comprehensive new report on the science of climate change that concluded that evidence now leans against global warming resulting from human-related greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the study's authors, these are 50 international scientists.
We got a consensus here, folks.
We have our own little consensus.
50 international scientists.
And according to them, the hypothesis of human-caused global warming comes up short not merely of full scientific certainty, but of reasonable certainty or even plausibility.
The weight of evidence now leans heavily against the theory of man-made global warming.
Of course it does.
We simply don't have that kind of power.
Even if we were all diabolical and hated the Earth, even if we wanted to melt the Arctic Ocean short of a nuclear detonation, we couldn't do it.
And even then, we might have trouble.
We just don't have this power that the left assigns to us.
You know, they're really contradictory about this because, on the one hand, the left tells us that we're no different than rats or any other animal.
On the other hand, they tell us that we're so dangerous and so powerful that our existence alone threatens pristine nature.
They're all over the board on this.
But the science is now documented to be a hoax.
And now more and more scientists are signing on not only to the hoax aspect, but they're signing on to the fact that it's not even plausible, this contention, that global warming is caused by man.
We're not even talking, is it scientifically proven or provable?
It isn't even plausible in science vernacular.
They write that we conclude no unambiguous evidence exists for adverse changes to the global environment caused by human-related CO2 emissions.
In particular, the cryosphere is not melting at an enhanced rate.
Sea level rise is not accelerating.
No systematic changes have been documented in evaporation or rainfall in the magnitude or intensity of extreme meteorological events.
And an increased release of methane into the atmosphere from permafrost or sub-seabed gas hydrates is unlikely.
The authors also note that forward projections of solar cyclicity imply the next few decades may be marked by global cooling rather than warming.
What?
These scientists actually factor the sun into all of this?
Why, who knew?
Yes, global cooling despite continuing CO2 emissions.
And these guys, these 50, warn against using imperfect climate models to advocate for a one-size-fits-all climate policy.
This paper was released, produced the Heartland Institute published it, released it yesterday.
Lead authors Craig D. Idso, Robert M. Carter, and S. Fred Singer.
They worked with a team of scientists to produce a 1,200-page report that's comprehensive, objective, and faithful to the scientific method.
As I mentioned yesterday, they have to do this because the left puts forth science to document their politics.
Because that's all global warming ever has been.
Man-made global warming, nothing but a political issue.
An opportunity for the left to advance its agenda, a bigger government, higher taxes, less freedom, all of that.
More control over your life because you're responsible for it.
You have to be reined in.
You have to be controlled.
Left to your natural instincts, you'll destroy everything.
The Democrats, they know best.
They're going to put rules and laws and taxes into place that will control your natural destructiveness.
And they've backed it all up with their science models.
Well, the science models are hoax.
But the scientists that don't believe this have to then come up with their own science.
They just can't stand up and say these guys are wrong.
And so more and more of the climate deniers have been documenting their refutation scientifically.
All for the UN's IPCC and whatever open-mindedness they might find at the United Nations and in the media.
Quick timeout.
We'll get to your phone calls.
Are we having problems with a phone system in there?
Are we going to be able to go to the calls?
Because I'm covered if we don't.
But we can take calls.
Oh.
Okay.
Well, we're back and do that.
Don't go away.
Just hang in there.
Hang on.
Make sure you're on the cable Wi-Fi.
Sometimes these phones in here default to our backup.
You don't want to be on the.
I'm talking to my staff.
They're trying to download iOS 7.
Our backup, the cable Wi-Fi, don't even.
Just make sure you're on the primary.
I don't want to give the name of it out.
But if you're having trouble, they keep getting error messages.
Keep in mind about 500 million people trying to download this right now.
They're working.
Who do you think carries the load here?
What do you mean, shouldn't those guys be working?
How long does it take that all you got to do is click?
All you got to do is tap, update, and then you let the phone do the magic.
That's all you got to do, except you got hundreds of millions of people trying to download this right now.
But just make sure you guys are not on our backup Wi-Fi network in there.
Sometimes your phones default to it and you'll never know it until the phone doesn't work.
Here's Jared in Manhattan, Kansas.
Jared, great to have you on the EIB network.
Glad you waited, sir.
All right, we'll try Phil.
He wasn't there.
I'm sure he's maybe the phones aren't working.
And Mike, you made up a point.
Maybe the phones aren't working and they're downloading iOS 7.
Don't know the phones aren't working.
Or else the previous caller is trying to download iOS 7 and wasn't listening to me when I said it was his turn.
So let's try another guy on line one just bumped off.
Yeah, we don't have, I guarantee, I knew something's wrong with the phones in there because I can tell by your body language.
We've got to reboot the phone.
See what?
So, okay, our phone system, ladies and gentlemen, if you got through and you were on hold, you did something to cause our phone system to go south.
No, not your problem.
Is this guy from Brooklyn not even there?
Not there.
Okay.
So our phone system is down and we're rebooting it, which is the magic fix for everything that happens.
Well, we just move on with the stack of stuff news digest.
Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States, not content with botching the screw-a-lunch menu, not content by urging everybody to drink water so that they increase their exercise and energy level, which is a bogus thing.
Moochelle Obama now wants food makers and entertainment companies to spend less time advertising sweet and salty foods to kids and more time promoting healthier options.
Now, let me just say, this is something that may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people.
Well, the first lady just wants to help.
Let me tell you the truth of the matter.
This is none of her business.
The free market takes care of this stuff.
We don't just, on what basis is the unelected Michelle Obama empowered to control American manufacturing and advertising?
This is how, by the way, we eventually get advertising bans on products that were seen dangerous or not seemed dangerous.
This is how this slow creep happens.
The good intentions of a supposedly nice woman who's a great mother with a great garden who really cares about people.
Well, at the root of it is her belief that you are too stupid to know what's good to eat and drink and what isn't.
You are too stupid to know how to best take care of and look out for yourself.
You are too stupid to do what they want you to do on your own.
And because you're too stupid or because you are too resistant, they are going to use force.
And if they have to, they will deny you what you want and they will make it unavailable and they will make it against the law to manufacture it or advertise it.
The first lady of the United States has called a summit on food marketing.
That is none of her business.
But another way this works, the food companies are quaking in their boots because this is Mrs. Barack and she's on the warpath.
And her husband has demonstrated that he will use the power of his office outside the law and outside the Constitution to punish people that he doesn't think are doing what he wants done.
And so she calls a food summit and they'll show up and they'll be appropriately scared.
It's their business.
And they are very much aware that if they want to, Michelle and Barack Obama can cause great harm to their businesses.
All it takes is one of the two going on TV and ripping Twinkies or whatever it would be, Coca-Cola.
That's all it would take.
And the companies are then faced with massive PR and advertising budgets to overcome what the government is saying.
And then if you do that, you might even make them madder.
So then they target you in other ways to make it impossible to stay in business.
So what may seem like a really good thing, based in total compassion, is nothing more than brazen use of government power to intimidate food makers.
Entertainment companies spend less time advertising sweet and salty foods to kids, more time promoting what Michelle thinks they should do.
I?
Here are the details on Michelle Obama's food marketing summit.
And again, it's none of her business that this, that this is not something you would ever see a Republican president do.
It's none of her business the way food's marketed and sold.
I mean, she can go out and make speeches.
She can do what she can if she wants to educate people, but to bring these companies in and I don't care what they call it when you have the first lady calling you in complaining about what you're doing, there's an implied threat and these people are totally comfortable using this kind of statist power on people.
And this is where folks you and I, we conservatives this does not interest us at all.
We believe in the free market, we believe in life.
We believe in people having choice to live their life as they choose.
Nobody, Coca-cola twinkie doesn't kill anybody, none of our business people want to drink this stuff.
If all this stuff is rotten, what needs to happen is Michelle Obama needs to propose that it be banned.
But if they won't ban tobacco because of the tax revenue they get from it, then what kind of phony baloney plastic banana, good time rock and rollers are we dealing with anyway?
So it says here this is from the ap, concerned about the nation's childhood obesity issues, and this, of course, under the guise of the feel-good issue of preventing fat children because after, who wants fat children?
You don't want your kids to be fat if you're not a parent, yet you don't want your kid to be fat.
If you are a parent, you've got a fat kid.
You're not crazy about it and Michelle Obama knows it.
So she's going to come along and help you by attacking what she thinks is making your kid fat, which she can't prove and she doesn't really know.
The first lady today is convening the first White House summit on food marketing to children to get involved in people talking about how to help consumers make healthier food.
So there's no helping about it.
This is going to end up being demanded, and that includes enlisting the persuasive power of the multi-million dollar food marketing industry.
As she helped kick off a nationwide campaign last week to encourage people to drink more plain water and be careful.
You can kill yourself doing that.
Do you remember there's a radio station in Sacramento that had a contest that involved who could drink the most water would wince and a woman drank herself To death.
You can do it.
Ms. Obama, after encouraging people to drink more plain water, What do you mean plain water?
You mean no fruit too?
Oh no.
Mrs. Obama said she would keep reaching out to new people and new organizations and keep making the case for healthier choices like water and fruits and vegetables.
The White House says it's invited representatives from the food and media industries, advocates, parents, representatives of government, agencies, and researchers, though it didn't release a list of names and organizations.
Mrs. Obama will open the meeting with public remarks.
The rest of the meeting closed to the media.
Oh, really?
Public remarks to open and the meeting is closed.
Why?
It's for the kids.
What the hell could go on in there that we can't hear?
Must be where the bribes and threats are going to be delivered.
Consumer advocates say that studies show that food marketing is a leading cause of obesity because it influences what children want to eat.
You know, folks, if they get away with this, you're going to have some of these left-wing, do-gooder consumer advocates say studies show that beer marketing is a leading cause of drunkenness because it influences what beer drinkers want to drink.
Where does this stop?
It doesn't stop because these people don't have any limits on their own power.
They don't have any self-imposed or other limits.
It's all based on a vanity and an arrogance and a conceit that you're stupid or unreliable.
Either way, you need to be told what to do because you won't do not what's best.
You won't do what they want you to do on your own.
Ms. Obama, let me say, if you really want to help the children, you know what you'd be advocating?
You'd be advocating the banning of violent graphic sexual video games, for one.
You could be promoting two-parent households if you really wanted to help.
But no, nothing like that.
We're going to have all of the perversion we want.
We'll call it enlightenment.
And we are going to have all the filth that we want.
That's called creativity and art.
And we are going to have all of the devastating cultural rot we want because they all contribute and donate to Democrats.
But when it comes to our food, we're going to control all aspects of that.
Because this is not about helping anybody.
This is about controlling them.
And in some cases, it's about getting even.
Some of these people I'm sure the Obamas don't like.
Maybe they make too much money and they donate to Republicans.
Maybe they really have a deep animosity for Coca-Cola.
I'm just mentioning a, I don't mean to focus on the brand, soda, soda pops, soft drinks.
Maybe they've got a real animosity.
Maybe they run around.
Maybe they actively hate this stuff.
Consumer advocates.
Can I give you an example of one of those?
Consumer advocate, we center for science in the public interest.
You know, these two people that are anorexic sticks, and they run around, they've got a fax machine, and they send out notices saying that coconut oil should be banned from using to pop popcorn in theaters because, well, because it's just bad.
And then they say, get MSG out of like Chinese food.
It's just bad.
That's consumer advocates.
They're no more consumer advocates.
And Colonel Sanders was an advocate for chickens, longevity.
But they got away with calling themselves that because they are approved, accredited liberals who think they know better than anyone else how everybody ought to live.
And everybody ought to live the way they do because they're smarter than everybody.
They're better than everybody.
They care more than everybody.
And they're just bursting with desire to control people.
Meanwhile, while all this is going on, Dingy Harry has iced all talk of gun control in the U.S. Senate.
The Washington Examiner is reporting that Dingy Harry said that a vote on gun control is not likely to occur anytime soon.
Yeah, we're going to move this up as quickly as we can, but we got to have the votes first, Dingy Harry told reporters after a closed-door lunch with Democrat caucus.
And we don't have the votes.
I hope we get them, but we don't have them now.
I didn't get to it yesterday, but there was a soundbite from Stenny Hoyer, the second-ranking Democrat leader in the House, who warned his other Democrat buddies, okay, you want to go for gun control, but I got one word for you, Colorado, where they had it handed to them.
Two Democrats were recalled in Colorado, Liberal Colorado, because they were making a move on people's guns.
Okay, I'm told now that after the reboot, our phone system is up and running.
That's cool.
Have you been able to successfully download iOS 7 yet?
Are you still getting an error message?
Do you make sure you're on the Wi-Fi network that I told you to get on?
All right, well, just hang it here and be tough because it'll happen.
I mean, you got to get in line.
I mean, I knew this.
I don't know why they don't stagger this.
You realize what they're on.
There are countless app updates today to be compatible with iOS 7.
You've got to have iTunes 11.1 if you're Mac.
You've got to have iTunes 11.1 before iOS 7 on your iDevice is compatible before you can sync.
Or if you're using iOS 7 on your iPhone or iPad to connect it to iTunes and you download 11.1 today.
So, I mean, they're just, they're downloading so much stuff.
Why don't they do this?
I've never understood it.
And that creates massive demand and excitement.
It's like Christmas morning for a lot of people, but it's not good for everybody trying to be giving error message after error message.
Anyway, brief timeout.
Back after this.
Don't go away.
Okay, we're going to try going to the phones now with our rebooted, reconstituted, flushed phone system.
And we're going to start in Glasgow, Kentucky, or maybe it's Glasgow.
This is Bill.
Great to have you, sir.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
It is an honor to talk to you.
Thank you very much, sir.
You mentioned earlier that liberals hate people to work hard.
And honestly, I love when you say things like that, because that is utter, complete truth.
Can I stop you there for just a second?
You know, you love hearing me say that because it's the truth.
But there's another aspect.
It's because it's rare.
It's so you like having somebody say it.
It used to be common.
It was the ordinary, common, accepted way.
Now, when somebody says it, you sort of happy because you know it's gone by the wayside.
That's not good.
When it's remarkable that somebody says hard work takes you somewhere, that's just anyway.
That is right.
I was born in the late 80s, and my parents say that all the time, but my dad would love to hear to hear this conversation for one.
But my only point was that it never hurts to be forced into hard work.
And that is the reason why liberals, I mean, it's the greatest offense against liberalism, in my opinion, is hard work because they cannot compete with that.
Right.
It leads to self-reliance, and that's the worst thing for them.
It's exactly right.
Well, that's my only point.
I appreciate you taking my call.
Well, now, wait a second.
You said that's not your only point.
I know you thought because it says up there that you wanted to talk about Will Smith's kid.
Yeah, that's true.
I figured I wouldn't be able to say it very clearly, but Jaden Smith tweeted that.
Wait a minute.
Why did you think you wouldn't be able to say it?
It's up there.
I'm expecting you to say it.
Okay.
Well, good.
Good.
Jaden Smith tweeted that he thought that younger people should drop out of school.
And of course, he got lambassed for that by everyone.
And I'm sure he didn't say it for the right reason.
He probably didn't.
But the liberals despise the thought of people dropping out of school.
But that's not, I mean, for good reason, dropping out of school could be the best decision anybody could make.
Because you don't, and you're forced into hard work.
It depends on when you drop out of school.
Yes.
Now, why now?
I had not heard that Will Smith's kid said the best thing for kids is to drop out of school.
Do you know his reason?
Did you hear that?
Do you know what it is?
No, all I heard is a bunch of liberals very angry at him, of course, but I can't imagine it being a good reason because their excuse for him is that he's a rich kid and doesn't know what hard work is.
No, but no, wait a second.
I'm not sure that.
My guess is I think his dad probably does work pretty hard.
The jobs those people do, acting, the stars, I mean, they've got a lot of things taken care of for, but it is not, it's a lot of time.
It's a lot of hurry up and wait.
It's really hard to do.
It takes a tremendous mental ability.
You can tell, if you're watching an amateur or somebody that doesn't know what they're doing, you know it, right?
A great actor, you don't know their acting.
You're watching who you think they really are.
They have the ability to totally become somebody else.
That creates the psychological problems that explain them being liberals.
But that's beside the point.
Jaden Smith has probably seen his mom and dad work real hard.
So that's why I'm curious why he would say it.
I didn't know he said it.
Now, he could just be trying to get noticed, make some radical statement as a young kid.
All right, here it is.
Here it is.
He said society would be much more intelligent if people educated themselves because schools are for tools.
He said that it's like formulaic, it's brainwashing, they don't teach you anything.
Now, in a sense, you know, depending on when you need a basic fundamental education up through high school, I think that's certainly true about college.
But, you know, our society is rooted in the, still is since the Great Depression, that college is the ticket.
Without that, you don't have a chance.
A lot of people believe it.
It's also a mark of Social achievement as well as intellectual achievement.
It's something parents really want for their kids to go to college, get a degree, they save up money for it or scrimp and save for it, however they can get it.
Still very important.
I understand formal education isn't for everybody.
And for the really advanced standout student who's really capable of learning and has a already knows what he wants to do and is just chomping at the bit to do it, school can be a drag.
But there's no point in getting out junior high.
That makes no sense.
You need a fundamental foundation, even if what you're taught is BS.
There's all other aspects to it that are important.
But still, it's intriguing.
I'm getting, I'm going to print some stuff out from the printer, what he said about this.
But basically, he tweeted that if everybody in the world dropped out of school, we would have a much more intelligent society.
And he did this back on September the 13th.
People used to ask me, what do you want to be when you get older?
And I would say, what a stupid question.
The real question is, what am I right now?
All the rules in the world were made by somebody no smarter than you, so make your own.
This is right out of Steve Jobs, by the way.
And he probably got it while traveling to India.
Who knows?
But this is all the rules in the world are made by somebody no smarter than you.
We all make the mistake of thinking everybody else is smarter and the formula exists because it's tried and true and proven.
School is the tool to brainwash the youth.
Education is rebellion.
If newborn babies could speak, they'd be the most intelligent beings on planet Earth.
Now, that is a bit of an exaggeration, but I understand the point.
They haven't been polluted yet.
They haven't been corrupted.
They haven't been lied to and taught a bunch of pap.
Now, don't misunderstand.
I'm not thinking we got a conservative kid here by any stretch.
Don't read that into it.
He said, everybody, get off your phones and go do what you actually want to do.
And in Jaden Smith's world, school is an obstacle to doing what you want to do.
In my case, it was.
I'll be honest and admit it.
Now, here is something interesting.
I did not know this.
Jaden Smith and his sister Willow.
Jaden is 15 years old.
Sister Willow is 12.
Both were homeschooled.
Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett homeschooled their kids.
