Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Okay, folks, I'm a little more organized today, and that means it ought to be excellent today.
I I was totally disorganized yesterday.
When the program started yesterday, I didn't really know what all I had.
I'd looked through it, but I was so distracted with so many things at the end of the program, all of the suck-ups said, it was great today.
Man, what a great show, and I said you're just sucking up.
No, no, no, we never do that.
So I enjoyed hearing that.
Now that we're organized and ready to go, it ought to be gangbusters today.
Great to have you on the program, L Rushbow and the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies and Telephone number is 800-282-2882, the email address L Rushbow at EIV net.com.
The Justice Department has uh has said that Lance Armstrong was unjustly enriched.
Know what that means.
It means that while he was fraudulently cheating, he got all these endorsement deals and people in in Rio Linda you say enriched, and then they think stuff you add to bread and they don't quite get it, but it's it it means that he got wealthy in an unjustifiable way.
It's too bad that Lance Armstrong didn't have a phony solar company.
If Lance Armstrong had had a fully phony solar company, he could have been unjustly enriched over and over again.
As in Sylindra.
Now last night was a Time 100 gala, where they honor the 100 most influential people that they claim made up the past year.
I was invited.
I made the list one year.
I was invited this year, didn't go.
I was invited Circus Act.
And the point of having me there is to see what kind of fireworks would have.
I didn't go.
Never intended to go.
But Vice President Bite Me did.
And it's kind of it to me this is funny.
In a sad way.
It's not really funny.
It's it's it's it's typical Biden.
The vice president at the Time 100 Gala New York praised America's resilience.
He said, if the purpose of terror is to instill fear, you saw none of that in Boston.
If the folks, if the purpose of terror is to instill fear, you saw none of that in Boston.
He said, the only way terrorism wins is if we change our way of life, if we yield.
And our message to terrorists is you cannot break us.
You cannot change us.
We will never yield.
We will not be intimidated.
Now the question is was the vice president a little bit overindulgent in adult beverages or was he joking?
I don't know what time the speech was, and that might not be a factor anyway, but we watched a major American metropolitan area of more than one million people on lockdown.
A million people were told to stay home from work, stay home from school, to shelter in place.
Do not go outside.
Boston's subways, buses, cabs, even Amtrak service was halted.
They canceled a Bruins game.
They canceled a Red Sox game.
I saw a lot of lives changed.
Well what was Biden watching?
They shut down an entire city.
They had the these two terrorists have the city fathers telling everybody, don't go outside.
Stay in there, don't you dare go outside, don't answer the door, stay right.
They had people cowering in fear in the corners of their own homes.
And the vice president says the only way terrorism wins if we change our way of life if we yield.
And we didn't yield, and we didn't change our way of life, and they didn't break us, and they didn't change us, and they can't, and we will never yield.
What was he watching?
I saw a lot of lives being changed.
If it wasn't for a guy who was forced to go outside to smoke a cigarette by his wife, violating the order to stay inside.
Who knows where we would be today?
So, ladies and gentlemen, oh, how many of you have encountered airline delays?
They're popping up all over the place out there in greater and greater frequency.
And remembered that back on April 20th of 2011, this is two years ago, they passed the passenger bill of uh passenger bill of rights that would limited the amount of time you could spend on a tarmac.
Remember, all these people had ended up for four hours or longer on a jet.
Excuse was, well, we couldn't find a gate or we couldn't get a departure slot or whatever.
And the airline wouldn't let them off the airplane, so we passed the passenger bill of rights, which limited tarmac time.
Ray Lahood, the transportation secretary, said airline passengers have a uh have a right to be treated fairly.
And now the president has furloughed air traffic controllers.
And you know what they're doing?
Some of them have been reassigned to run unions.
Diana Furchkitt Roth has a has a column, I think in the DC examiner today, about 11 or 12, I forgot how many pilots who've been furloughed, and air traffic controllers have been furloughed, who have been sent over to various relevant unions to do union leadership duty.
I'm telling you, this is a purposely caused situation.
This is this is this is chaos, and passengers are being punished for the sequester.
And it's all being done to blame the Republicans.
It's all being done, all of this chaos.
There's no need for any air traffic control delays.
There's no need.
There are plenty of ways to accommodate the sequester without this kind of behavior, which is impacting the way people live their daily lives.
And as an added bonus as far as Obama and the Democrats are concerned, it's making it look like government is necessary for everything to run on time.
When in fact the lesson to be learned here is that big government central planning, when that we're told they at least they can make the trains run on time.
That's what Mussolini did.
That's why they loved him.
Made the trains.
This bunch can't even make the planes run on time.
They can't make the trains run on, except they're doing it on purpose to frustrate passengers, to create chaos, to punish passengers, if you will.
So that you watch before it's all over, it's going to be again the fault of the Republicans for causing the sequester to happen, for not being bipartisan, for not agreeing with Obama to stave this off.
So two years ago it was the passenger bill of rights, limits tarmac time.
Now it is deliberately punishing passengers to score political points.
Sorry, folks, that's what it is.
That's where we are.
A piece today in let's see, what is the website?
It's uh slate.com.
Slate, salon, what's the difference?
You know, Ceylon is the place where the guy Sorota wrote a piece before we'd found the two perps in Boston.
And gee, I hope the terrorists are white guys, because if they're not, it's really gonna set back liberalism.
You remember that piece.
Now in Slate.com, we have a piece here by Gillian Keenan that we just found.
It was actually posted on Tax Day on April 15th.
And the headline of this piece is next step we need to legalize polygamy.
No joke.
And here's how this piece begins.
Recently, Tony Perkins of Family Research Council reintroduced A tired refrain.
Legalized gay marriage could lead to other legal forms of marriage disasters, such as polygamy.
Rick Santorum, Bill O'Reilly, other social conservatives who made similar claims.
It's hardly a new prediction.
We've been hearing it for years.
Gay marriage is a slippery slope.
It's a gateway drug.
If we legalize it, then what's next?
Legalized polygamy?
We can only hope.
Yep, really.
While the Supreme Court and the rest of us are all focused on the human right of marriage equality, let's not forget that the fight doesn't end with same-sex marriage.
We need to legalize polygamy too.
Legalized polygamy in the United States is the constitutional feminist and sex positive choice.
More importantly, it would actually help protect, empower, and strengthen women, children, and families.
For decades, the prevailing logic has been that polygamy hurts women and children.
That makes sense, since in contemporary American practice, that is often the case.
In many fundamentalist Latter-day Saints, polygamous communities, for example, women and underage girls are forced into polygamous unions against their will.
Some boys who represent the surplus of males are brutally thrown out of their homes and driven into homelessness and poverty at very young ages.
All of these stories are tragic, and the criminals involved ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
But legalizing consensual adult polygamy would not legalize rape or child abuse.
In fact, it would make those crimes easier to combat.
I folks, I am fairly confident I'm not reading to you here a piece from the Onion or Satire.
It was published Jillian Keenan.
Monday, April 15th, 535 in the morning at slate.com.
In a United States with legalized polygamy, responsible plural families could emerge from the shadows, making it easier for authorities to zero in on the criminals who remain there.
It's also hard to argue with the constitutional freedom of religious expression that legalized polygamy would preserve.
Most polygamous families are motivated by wait for it.
Religious faith, such as fundamentalist Mormonism or Islam.
And as long as all parties involved are adults legally able to sign marriage contracts, there's no constitutional reason why they shouldn't be able to express that faith in their marriages.
Okay, so you've got a babe here who wants to legalize polygamy.
And she's a well constructed argument, yeah, right.
And basing it, hey, you're exactly right.
Once we get to gay marriage, hey, let's keep going.
She's not running away from that at all.
The people that said, hey, start legalizing gay marriage, what's next?
Marrying your dog, bring it on.
And then throw the cat in there.
And if we can make a case where it's constitutional because it's religious.
And it's safer for the women than the children.
We have a tendency to dismiss or marginalize people that we don't understand.
We see women in polygamous marriages and assume they're victims.
They grew up in an unhealthy environment, we say.
They didn't really choose polygamy.
They were just born into it, we say.
Well, without question, it's sometimes true, but it's also true of many monogamous marriages.
That women are in an unhealthy environment.
Plenty of women are born into unhealthy environments that they repeat later in life.
As a feminist, writes Jillian Keenan, as a feminist, it's easy and intuitive to support women who choose education, independence, and careers.
It's not as intuitive to support women who choose values and lifestyles that seem outdated or even sexist, but those women deserve our respect just as much as any others.
Look, she says the definition of marriage is plastic.
Just like heterosexual marriage is no better or worse than homosexual marriage, marriage between two consenting adults is not inherently more or less correct than marriage among three or four or six.
Consenting adults.
Who's to say?
Polygamists are a tiny minority.
Freedom has no value unless it extends to even the smallest.
And most vulnerable of us all, or whatever.
So I just they're making no bones.
They're coming out of the woodwork now.
Gay marriage?
Damn right, all for it.
That's going to lead to polygamy.
Damn right, bring it on.
Here's the case.
Look, the Mormons do it.
Where was this during the campaign?
You imagine if this had come out during a campaign, Romney might have actually benefited from something like you.
So recently, uh, ladies and gentlemen, we've been discussing on this program and people have been discussing elsewhere.
How did the two terrorists in Boston get radicalized?
Where did it happen?
Is it still jumping to conclusions to link Islam to this bombing?
It is.
Yes, my friend, that would be wrong, according to the latest conventional wisdom and the latest consensus.
Islam had nothing to do with this.
In fact, they'll be jumping to conclusions to link Islam to this bombing.
And the reason is that Johar has told the authorities that he and his bro did the bombings because of their f their their faith in Islam.
But but we're not supposed to jump to conclusions over that.
We still have to wait till we have more conclusive proof that Muslim extremism might have been a factor.
The fact that the brothers are saying Jokar has told the authorities they did the bombings because their faith in Islam, that's not really why they did it.
So we can't believe what they say.
Let's go to the audio sound bites.
This is this morning on happening now on Fox, just moments ago, actually.
General Lee is talking to the former head of the CIA bin Laden unit, Michael Scheuer, about a recent blog he wrote where he argues the Boston Marathon bombers were motivated by wait for it, what the U.S. does in the Muslim world.
She said to him, Jen Ali said to Michael Scheuer, why do you say that?
Because it's true, ma'am.
There has been no evidence since Osama bin Laden declared war on us in 1996, and his followers and those he inspired continued to wage war, that they were bombing us because we had women in the workplace, or you or I had a beer after work, or because we voted early in Iowa every four years.
The description has been consistently, including the young men who bombed in Boston, that their activities are a response to our support for the Saudi tyranny, our invasion of Iraq, our support for the Israelis.
Most recently, Mr. Obama has invaded two Muslim countries, Mali and Libya.
It seems to me we spend a lot of wasted time trying to figure out what motivates these people.
So there you have it.
They said it was their faith in Islam, and we now know that there was this mysterious imam in the mix.
No, no, no, no, it's the United States' fault.
Policy in Israel, Saudi Arabia, invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Jen Ali said, well, if we pull out of the Muslim world, and if we decided that we wouldn't do anything in the Muslim world anymore, would there then be no terror attacks against us in the future?
There'd be much less.
You just have to come to grips with the fact that people don't like to be invaded or bombed by anybody.
And we have been engaged in that.
The Islamists started this war.
They explained to us as clearly as General Jiap and Ho Chi Minh explained to us why they were fighting us, and we have ignored it.
Mrs. Clinton has ignored it.
Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama.
The idea that they're attacking us because of our culture is insane.
We are now waging a war against them culturally.
We're trying to impose democracy, women's rights, parliamentary systems on a people who don't want it.
They're going to fight that.
Yeah, the two Boston bombers have made all that very clear.
Yeah.
well, the one surviving Boston bomber made it all very clear.
So you see, my friends, it's developing now the consensus.
All of this is our fault, even though Scheuer here said the Islamists started this war.
But we nevertheless are guilty.
They're telling us why they're the idea they hate our freedom, that's insane.
The idea that we don't succumb and agree to Sharia, that's got nothing to do with it.
The idea that we remain independent and that we're infidel, nothing to do with it.
Don't fall for that stuff in the Quran.
That's not why they're doing it.
They're doing it because we are provoking them.
They're doing it because we're all over the world where they are, and we're trying to force things on them they don't like.
And if we stop doing that, they wouldn't be doing much more of this.
And by the way, this meme is now all over the drive-by media.
Didn't take long.
It's the fault of the United States or what happened to Boston.
We'll be back with more.
Welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, cutting edge of societal evolution.
Okay, so the meme is we did it, the United States.
We are responsible.
Michael Scheuer, who I'll refrain.
I just to me no credibility there whatsoever.
It's a bias, there's an agenda, but it's our fault.
Islam's nothing to do with this.
The Quran has nothing to do with this.
Sharia has nothing to do with this.
The fact that we're infidels, nothing at all to do with this.
In fact, do you know that radical Islamists, the jihadists, are attacking people all over the world because of the United States' foreign policy?
Well, wouldn't that have to be?
Why would the jihadists be attacking anybody but us?
Nobody else has such a tight relationship with the Saudis, certainly no other country does, no other nation, and yet the jihadis are all over the world trying to convert people, the infidels.
So what's the excuse?
Why are the jihadis all over the world attacking innocent people?
You may have something to do with the fact that they're infidels, that they have not accepted Sharia.
that they maintain their own religious independence from Islam.
It has to be that they're all allies of the United States.
It has to be that, boy, if they could have invaded Iraq, they would have.
If they could have invaded Afghanistan, they would have.
This is how this works.
So it's all our fault.
our natural state, the way we exist vis-a-vis our foreign policy is why.
They're doing this.
And furthermore, if we if we pulled out of Israel, and if we pulled out of Saudi Arabia, and if we pulled out of Club Getmore, if we pull out of Afghanistan, pull out of Iraq, they'd stop, says Scheuer.
And this theme is now being picked up in the drive-by media.
We have a montage last night from NBC, CNN, CNN, um, ABC people, and here's their thought on this.
They believed the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were an attack on Islam.
The suspects may be motivated because of the walls in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were motivating factors.
Motivated in part by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
U.S. actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, which the younger brother said became their motivation to attack.
U.S. involvement in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were motivating factors.
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have been cited.
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were the reason he and his brother decided to set off the deadly bombs.
So there you have it.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Have you noticed how studiously the news media have avoided reporting that Jokar appears to have been an Obama supporter.
That's right.
Jokar, Sanaev celebrated Obama's reelection on Twitter.
It's Obama that went into Afghanistan.
Obama That has not gotten us out of Iraq.
Well, not until recently.
That's Obama who is continuing the policy of invading Libya.
Syria.
Continuing to do business with Israel.
It's Obama with the kill list and the drones.
And Jokar said I have celebrated Obama's re-election on Twitter.
And yet, Jokar did what he did because he doesn't like Obama.
Or maybe it's the Limbaugh theorem.
Maybe Jokar doesn't know that Obama's doing all this.
Maybe Jokar thinks Obama's trying to stop it all.
Like all the low information voters in this country, believe that Obama's got nothing to do with anything that's happening.
He's trying to stop it.
Judging from Jokar's other tweets, he's also pro pot, pro-rep.
He's a 9-11 truther.
Now we hear that the entire Sanayev family was on welfare.
How could he not be an Obama supporter?
Have you heard that?
The Boston Herald has managed to force out of the local authorities.
The whole Sanaev family has been on welfare as recently as last year.
The parents, the brothers and sisters, the aunts and the uncles, probably.
Tamerlin and his bride and their three-year-old daughter all have been on welfare as recently as last year, and that wonderful.
I wonder where they got the money to buy all the stuff.
The whole family's on welfare.
So we have another great example of your tax dollars at work.
Your tax money helped to pay for the explosives, as well as Tamerlin's at least two trips back to Dagestan, his late model Mercedes, his $900 shoes, no wonder this guy hated America.
Yep, it's no wonder the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq motivated this guy.
Well, welfare, how could welfare pay that much money?
Well, you'd be s how could welfare pay for all this.
Okay, let's say welfare didn't pay for all of it.
If they're able to get this other stuff, what are they doing on welfare in the first place?
Is the question.
The question is not how did welfare pay for all this?
The question is what are they doing on welfare in the first place in this country?
And they did use tax dollars to fund some of their activities.
It's in that sense that's unavoidable.
Now he lost his benefits last year.
Tamberlin won't be going to be very honest here, Tamberlin lost his benefits last year.
But according to people who have who've called the show, once you get an Obama phone, nobody checks up to see if you still qualify for an Obama phone.
He might have had an Obama phone.
But really, folks, it may be a mistake to be so concerned about Tamarlin and Jokar anyway, because it turns out now, and I've got the stories in the stack here detailing all this.
It turns out now the real killer is a mysterious American with a long red beard named Misha.
Kid you not.
The Sanaev clan are now claiming that Tamerlin met Misha at the Cambridge Mosque.
And it was Misha who radicalized him.
They say Misha stole Tamerlin's brain.
So what is it now?
Either this Misha guy in the mosque stole Tamerlin's brain, or Tamerlin and Jokar were sitting around smoking pot and tweeting in his uh in his late model Mercedes, bitching and moaning about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, saying we got to do something about that.
But the story is that this long red bearded guy named Misha turned Tamarlin against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He's the one that did it.
He made him come to hate America.
Red beard, Misha.
Could be a Harvard professor, could be a Democrat congressman, could be any run of the mill Cambridge liberal.
Well, who is he?
He could be a professor.
A member of Congress.
Think about it, seriously.
Isn't it odd how we are supposed to believe that these Muslim clerics are so influential?
Even the ones on the internet.
Here you have these young, innocent men, young boys.
Their entire futures are bright and ahead of them.
And somehow, they end up becoming radicalized by these Muslim clerics.
Even the ones on the internet, or the Misha guy, the professor, whoever he is from Boston.
But at the same time, while these two young men were so easily influenced, we're told that listening to, say, Reverend Wright for more than 20 years.
No, no, no, that wouldn't have any influence on anybody.
You can even separate those things out.
No, no, no.
Just because one of your best buddies happens to have blown up the pentagon, that doesn't mean anything.
But this Misha guy, long red bearded Misha, yeah, he's the culprit.
He turned them against the country because of Afghanistan and Iraq.
A reverend right didn't influence anybody.
Reverend Wright doesn't say that's just everybody knows.
That's just the Reverend Wright being Reverend Wright.
It's uh no big deal.
Pro Obama, pro-legalized pot, pro-rap music, 9-11 truther.
That's Joker.
Typical Obama voter.
And yet supposedly upset with Obama.
So you can see where this is going now.
It's already there.
Tamarlin turned to Islam.
Only became radicalized because of the debauchery of the U.S. Because of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
By the way, a congressional report, Republican congressional report, uh there's proof.
Whereas Lanny Davis would say this poof.
That Hillary lied about Benghazi.
That probably ticked him off too, you know, that video.
And the guy that's in jail for doing the video, that probably ticked them off too.
They'll get to that.
You watch.
They'll get to that.
The video, no, they probably did see it.
They're probably the two that did see it.
The Tsenaiev boys.
They're probably the two people that did see that video.
For whom the producer is still in prison.
Anyway, the Republican congressional report says that Hillary did lie about Benghazi.
That's shocking.
When's that ever happened before?
Gotta take a brief time out, my friends.
El Rushbo, straight ahead with much more on the EIB network when we get back.
You know, if if all these acts and actions by the United States are responsible, then ladies and gentlemen, who is it that killed Osama bin Laden?
That would be Obama, right?
And wouldn't that tick these guys off?
I mean, Osama is a grand poopah, big sheikh.
Head honcho.
How come Scheuer didn't mention that?
How come all these people in the media aren't mentioning that?
These guys cite the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And by the way, both of those are George W. Bush escapades.
You see what's going on here?
These guys are being portrayed as angry at Bush.
That's what the theory is.
Bush is reason why they bombed the Boston Marathon.
Now they're all Democrats.
Well, of course they're Democrats.
Joker with a tweet celebrating Obama's reelection.
I've got the tweet.
Of course they're all Democrats.
You think these guys are voting for Romney?
And if they don't vote, you think they're out there supporting Romney?
Or McCain?
I mean, take your pick.
Joe Karnaev sent pro-Obama tweets on election night.
He retweeted thanks to Obama and one that said Barack Yuma Dog, D-A-W-G, and It hailed how America is impervious to the F bomb here.
At any rate, you know, they say the same thing about Israel, the Israelis.
If you guys would just give this up and give that up, then the Palestinians stop attacking you.
It's the same stuff.
If you guys just quit being who you are, then we'll leave you alone.
It's your fault.
Get out of our lives.
Here's Rachel in Manhattan as we start on the phones.
Rachel, I'm glad to hear from you.
Hello.
Hi, Rush.
Um, it only took a few days to blame the Jews.
They blame tiny, tiny Israel, seven million Jews living there, and 15 million Jews living across the entire world.
They started blaming.
Let me tell you something.
Um this Michael Scheuer is a big anti-Semite for years who's been blaming Israel.
Just like uh the liberals do at MSNBC with Brzezinski, no, the father zigna a big anti-Semite, and all of MSNBC.
They're the worst.
They're the haters of Jews in Israel.
And the most friendly, the greatest our friends are the Christians like you, the Republicans and conservatives are pro-Israel.
But um this is uh unbelievable.
Everyone knows that these Arabs, these Muslims want everyone to be on Sharia law besides the caliphate, their entire world.
If Israel was gone tomorrow, they'd still be attacking us.
So and no, that's that's that's that's the point.
That's where that's where Scheur knows better.
Jenna Lee asked him point blank, okay.
So if we pull out of Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia stop our influence there with the um the Saudi royal family, if we pull out of Iraq, do all that stuff.
Yep, that'd be a lot fewer attacks.
That's just crazy.
And I don't know why Shawyer would want to so obviously uh call into question his credibility.
But he is with with with comments like uh like that.
By the way, there are quotes in today's reports from uh a friend of Tamerlin who claimed friends of Tamar claimed that Tamerlin didn't hate Americans.
He hated the American government.
Didn't hate America.
He hated the American government.
Now, they didn't attack the American government, they attacked Americans.
I wonder if uh these friends of Tamerlin and Tamarlin know that Obama is part of the government.
Because they love Obama.
They hate the government.
It's a limball theorem again, even affecting these jokers.
Here's uh here's uh Joe in Waldorf, Maryland.
Hi, Joe, great to have you next on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hi, Russ.
Thank you for taking my call.
I'm a first-time caller, and uh I've listened to your show a long time.
And uh I just had to make a comment on uh what uh vice president by a shotgun uh had to say about uh not changing our lifestyle and showing fear we will not do well obviously he has not ridden or flown on a private or on a uh a commercial airline lately.
Uh ever since 9-11, which was a terrorist attack, um it caused us to have to enact the TSA, which now we have uh security check-ins that last can last hours, uh, whatever, wherever you're going.
And uh, you Joe Joe.
Let me let me jump in and help you out here.
Uh you're you're right, of course, but uh Biden would look at all those things as great positive results.
Those are not things that make life more inconvenient for Americans.
That's your government working very hard to keep you safe and your grandmother safe, uh, and keeping you and your grandmother off the airplane and making it much harder while Joe Car and Tamarlin sail on by.
But I look at the vice president at the time 100 Gala, which is what Joe's bouncing off here.
What he's we're never gonna yield.
They're not gonna change the way we live.
He that that's just pure politicking.
Everybody in that room, Whether they want to admit it or not, knows full well that two young men shut down a city of over one million people for a full day, maybe long.
Shut it down.
They did exactly what they set out to do, and exactly what Biden said didn't happen.
He knows.
Okay, folks, that take a brief time out here at the top of the hour, another obscene profit break.
