Time Text
All right.
I I need to ask you guys something on the other side of the glass.
I want you to be honest.
I don't want to this kiss butt stuff that you normally are known for.
Do I sound like I'm really down in the dumps over stuff today?
No, I don't?
Good.
Because I got some meme Rush, what are you so down for today?
And I I'm not, I'm not, I'm not down, but I I have to some of this stuff to me that we're I have learned over the weekend that we're talking about, to me is really sobering stuff.
Folks, I still, I must tell you, I'm one of these people, and I know I overdo this phrase, you know, I can't get my arms around something.
I really I don't quite know how to ex express this.
Well when I the the Melissa Francis Perry thing.
Grab audio of somebody number one.
Let's play it again.
This this I'm I'm struggling here to explain how all of this uh is is uh is affecting me.
Uh I I wish I could, you know, what just ignore it and and move on and pretend none of this stuff is happening.
I mean, I've been really blessed in life.
And I I have literally nothing about which to complain.
Not one thing.
And I'm not oriented toward complaining anyway.
But if there's anybody that has nothing to complain about, it's me.
Personally, and yet I'm gonna tell you, some of this stuff that is happening in the country stands in the way of my happiness.
And it stands in the way of my happiness because I am scared to death of what's happening to the country.
And and not that it's all gonna crumble before I have a chance to fulfill my life and enjoy it all.
That's that's I'm not worried about that.
I'm not I'm not worried about things being taken away from me.
I just can't stand to see this.
I can't stand to see this stuff triumphing.
It it physically angers me.
And I'll tell you, uh uh uh what did I watch?
I had uh I the a scanning, you know, channel surfing over the weekend, and I might have come across the NCAA basketball tournament and I see an arena full of screaming people, and I want to shout up.
What in the world do you have any idea what's happening to your country while you're in there screaming and I see so many people tuned out, not caring, apparently not concerned, at least that's the way it appears.
And I'm probably wrong about that.
I hope I am.
But I don't feel like going to a college basketball game and cheering about anything.
Even if I like basketball.
I don't feel like doing it.
Things are so drastically wrong, heading in such the wrong direction.
It it it playing golf again Saturday and then and uh friend of mine playing with the club pro at our.
We should have been talking golf and latest happening on the tour.
We we went into the clubhouse after playing, we started talking about all the rot gut stuff happening to the country.
Everybody's worried about their kids and grandkids, particularly their grandkids, and whether or not they're even gonna have a chance to provide themselves.
Much less become prosperous.
And then I realize I'm probably and you from this group too, two to three percent of the country cares.
And everybody else, well, I hope it's more than that, but I feel like two to three percent care, and everybody else is just you know running around living their life and their little isolated existences, uh doing what they can, which I also understand.
Who does want to face this?
What can anybody do about it?
The easiest thing to do is to ignore it.
I mean, who wants to have to listen to Melissa Harris Perry tell them that they have no right to their own kids?
Who wants to hear that?
Who wants to even deal with it?
I hear it and I think this has got to be beaten back.
This has got to be stopped.
Um anyway, here it is again.
I d if this just so you're up to speed on what it is I'm talking about.
We have never invested as much in public education as we should have.
Because we've always had kind of a private notion of children.
Your kid is yours and totally your responsibility.
We haven't had a very collective notion of these are our children.
So part of it is we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.
Once it's everybody's responsibility and not just the households, then we start making better investments.
Right.
How how how silly, how absolutely ridiculous that your kids are your responsibility.
Now, been doing this program for 25 years, and over most of the 25 years play something like that, and literally laugh at it.
Make fun of it the usual routine.
Try to ridicule it.
But I don't know.
It's to the point now where I wonder every day when people hear this, how many of them agree with it?
Let me give you another example.
Not perhaps the best, but last week on this program, a young man, 13 years old called a young boy called from um where was it from from Indiana or Ohio?
This isn't Indiana.
Wilmington, Indiana.
Very, very bright, articulate guy called here to tell me that he finally had proven to himself that global warming was a hoax.
And he'd gone to his local library.
He'd researched it and he'd found it.
And he told me why he thought the left and liberals don't want or don't recognize it as a hoax because they don't want to.
So I offered the young man an iPad.
I said, somebody like you could really put one of these to use.
You can search anything in the world right from it.
You have to go to your library.
It's portable, it's light, you carry it with you.
That incident, that phone call, and the fact that I gave this young man the iPad, you would not believe how on fire that story is out there on the web and has been all weekend.
I didn't know it until people started sending me all the different links to various blogs and websites, and they were all outraged, and they were all really worried about this kid and how they were going to get hold of him and get his mind right,
and how in the world this had happened, and how unfortunate it was that this kid listened to me, and who were his parents, and how did they lose control?
To which I could say, hey, he's just a product of community education.
I'm just pretending the kid's mine.
He listens to me every day, and he's following in my instruction.
Deal with it.
He was our t I'm I'm I'm well, here's the thing.
Over the course of the years of this program, there have been occasions where something seemingly innocuous to me happens on the program, and I learned later that it's caused a bonfire out there.
Now, one such thing used to be whenever education came up as a subject, all it took was one comment from me or one phone call, and that was it.
The rest of the show, nothing but calls on education and what was wrong with it.
It just blew up.
There was something like this that happened within the last three months, and I can't remember what it is, but it was just see, an innocuous is not so.
Well, that was a big one too, but I'm not thinking the apology.
That is a good example.
I had this story that I delayed for three days, and I finally got to it on Friday that said apologizing shows weakness.
You should never do it.
Never ever apologize.
People that don't apologize are happier.
That caused our phone lines and my email to blow up.
To me, it was a rather innocuous, entertaining, humorous little thing.
And there was a couple of other examples like that in the past three months.
I can't remember them, but they do happen and they surprise me.
This little incident with the 13-year-old boy and the iPad and global warming has caused the equivalent of a panic out there.
And I could choose from any one of 15 or 20 blogs and web links.
The people you've never heard of, but they're all over Twitter.
It's out there if you if you say I don't follow myself on the internet.
I don't have any news, what are they, Google News, whatever they are that keyword search me.
But there are people who do, and that's how they find out about this stuff.
That's that's exactly right.
They don't want even one kid to escape their clutches.
The fact that this 13-year-old doesn't believe that man-made global warming is happening.
That is panic city for them.
And they've got to find out how it happened and get to the bottom of it.
And if if they can, they've got to get to this kid and change his mind.
I just could give you one example here.
I'm not even I'm not even going to mention the website because I don't want you going there.
I don't want this place benefiting from a mention.
I don't want getting a bunch of hits.
I'm just gonna read it's a woman.
Despite the majority of scientists agreeing that global warming is occurring and is largely man-made, conservatives are now using a 13-year-old's library research to validate their opinion that climate change is a hoax.
Alex from Wilmington, Indiana, received temporary fame on Fox News Thursday when they reported about the 13-year-old Rush Limbaugh caller whose schools liberals on global warming.
Limbaugh offered to send him an iPad to aid him in continuing his important research.
The child called Rush to discuss a recent debate he'd had about global warming.
He spoke like an indoctrinated pro, telling Rush how easy it was for him to visit a local library and find evidence against global climate change.
And they quote the kid.
I just wanted to say at 13, I've done a speech on this, and it was really easy for me to find this evidence.
Really easy.
And I believe the reason the liberals do not have the evidence is because they don't want the evidence.
They don't want to hear that it's wrong.
He went on to speak about his trip to the health food store the other day, where he overheard a conversation between two liberals who were confused as to why it could be so cold outside.
If global warming is occurring, demonstrating by his belief that the meaning of climate change is increased temperatures, that he's grown up on a healthy diet of conservative misinformation, prejudice, and denial.
Of course, Rush ate it up, gushing that it was heartening to know that evidence against climate change could be found in a public library.
He praised the boy, who when asked what caused him to doubt people who believe in climate change, said that he's heard lots of evidence on the radio that global warming is a hoax.
Over the radio, we listen to different things.
There's so much evidence global warming is not man-made, he said.
It's disturbing to be reminded that there are people who would strive to prevent a child from learning facts and formulating his own opinions.
Hopefully, when Alex receives his iPad, he'll be able to expand his range of research beyond the backwards ideology he's been force-fed, and maybe even view an Internet article that was not hand-picked and vetted by his mother.
That's just one of...
So you see, this is a woman who would be totally comfortable with snatching this kid away from his parents until his parents did the right thing and educated him the right way.
His parents are guilty, I'm guilty.
And of course, this woman's an absolute idiot.
Nobody is making up that global warming is a hoax.
It is a hoax.
It has been admitted to and discovered by virtue of examination of emails between the so-called scientists who end up being the hoaxers.
It's not even Arguable, and yet we have these wizards of smart out here on the left.
These sanctimonious, smarter than everybody else in the room, idiots who think they know it all.
Who they live in a closed mind.
Oh, yeah, the polar bears.
Yeah, they see a picture of a polar bear on a three foot square piece of ice and think the climate is warming and glaciers are melting.
You talk about people that are force fed propaganda and don't question it, it's these people.
Anyway, the point is they are not comfortable with an alternative point of view.
They don't know how to deal with it, and rather than engage this kid, they want to try to find a way to either discredit the people he believes in or the articles that he believes, or short of that, they want to get hold of him and browbeat him into forgetting what he thinks he knows.
But here's the latest.
By the way, if you if you want to see all this, you know, our man in Washington for my TV show, Mark Morano, has a website called Climate Depot.
The left hates it.
They literally despise it.
And what Mark does is simply collect every bit of data that is available all over the world via the world wide web, and he links to it.
And one of the latest links at Climate Depot.com, UK telegraph, headline Global Warming, time to rain back on doom and gloom.
Global temperature lull raises the possibility that carbon dioxide may be less potent than has been thought in healing the planet or heating the planet.
Now, this has only been out there for ten years.
The warmers themselves are starting to question it, but the true believers, the Cossacks, the people that are they're 10% as smart as they think they are, are out there totally unaware of the latest developments.
They don't expose themselves to anything counter to what they believe.
They're not interested in intellectual inquiry.
Global warming is simply the latest bean sprout of their political ideology.
And as such, it's undeniable.
There can't be any alternative.
So whenever they hear somebody exposed to an alternative in a persuasive way, they panic.
But there were twenty at least links.
And I'm by the way, I'm not going to link them.
I'm not going to post them because I don't want these places getting hits.
I don't want you all going there and shutting down their servers.
I really don't.
I don't want to give them that kind of attention.
I don't want to give them those those those that that that uh satisfaction of having all that traffic.
But it I don't know.
I guess it's just that the closed-minded stupidity coupled with the sanctimony of these young useful idiots that I admit sometimes it just gets to me, folks.
Yeah, I'll tell you something else that blew up out there is when when I um uh said that uh that the country was dying.
That blew up right along with a 13-year-old iPad comment.
And they're upset with me because I was exploiting a 13-year-old, and yet these are the people that drag out their own four and five-year-old kids to speak in favor of same-sex marriage.
And they do it on television.
But I was exploiting.
What else did I say?
I felt I felt ashamed of my country.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Felt ashamed of my country for the first time.
That blew up out there, too.
I mean, these things are blowing up big time.
Now, I don't know if you I mean in the deep dark inner confines of the beast in the intestinal area is where this stuff is blowing up.
Not on the surface.
And it's causing these people gastric distress.
And greetings, welcome back.
El Rushbow here on the cutting edge of societal evolution, and this is Joseph in Flint, Michigan.
Hi, Joseph, great to have you on the program.
Hello.
Great to be here.
I'm 19 years old.
I go to University of Michigan.
And I think you hit it exactly on the head when you're talking about education.
Except I don't really call it education.
I I call it indoctrination.
For example, I take I'm a nursing major, and I only need two classes to further my education.
The rest is just indoctrination.
It is like what?
Uh like, for instance, we learned that we are at the crossroads of equality and liberty, and that we must accept equality over liberty.
It's Wait, that then that is applicable to nursing how, Joseph.
It's not.
That's right.
That's my That's exactly right.
It's it's ridiculous.
And these kids, they eat it up, they think they're being rebels, they think they're being revolutionaries.
But if you're gonna talk to a real rebel on a college campus, you talk to a pro-life Christian or conservative.
And that's just my stance on it.
But I think our indoctrination system is it's just gotten out of hand.
It has.
It's exactly uh exactly right as to uh as to what's going on.
But it's that indoctrination that sets people up for accepting such things as gun control legislation.
Because it's being offered by caring uh compassionate people, and then that sets up limiting your IRA.
Nobody needs President Obama civilized, nobody needs more than $205,000 a year in retirement.
You don't need any more than that.
And so an IRA with anything more than three million dollars in it, he wants to confiscate via taxation.
Because he says nobody needs more than two hundred and five thousand dollars a year in retirement.
Who is he to determine that?
Who is anybody to determine what anybody else needs?
Not in a free society, that that judgment is not permitted.
That judgment's laughed out of existence in a free society.
It's not even it's not even given partial consideration.
But today, people hear that, yeah, yeah.
Well, I don't need any more than that.
Nobody needs any more than that.
Of course, Obama couldn't survive one day on 205,000.
Not the way he's living.
He couldn't survive one day, much less a whole year on 205,000 in retirement.
But Barack Obama, with no practical experience in anything, who has no idea the difference between automatic, semi-automatic, machine gun, magazine clip, he nor anybody else in Washington for that matter in elective office have the slightest idea what they're talking about.
Same thing with health care, same thing with uh with with running businesses of any kind, but they're the ones in charge.
They're the ones that know better how to fix health care.
They're the ones who know how to manage guns, they're the ones that know how to manage food.
And who are they?
Nothing but a bunch of power mad democrats with no practical experience running anything.
And the and the thing that they do run is out of control in debt.
The government.
The thing that they do run is a massive bureaucracy that is impossible to navigate.
The thing that they do run is run so badly you wouldn't hire them to do anything in your business, certainly not run it.
But they are more qualified to run the oil business.
They are more qualified to run hospitals, insurance companies.
They're more qualified to run gun manufacturing companies, food processing plants.
They're more qualified to run schools than anybody else.
I mean the sheer Audacity of these people, coupled with their sanctimony.
I mean, if they had succeeded at any of this, that would be another thing.
But they haven't.
They are glaring failures at everything they undertake.
Well, Obama does have expertise in upsetting people.
He is an expert agitator.
He does know how to divide people.
He does know how to pit groups of people against each other.
He is an expert at that.
He is a pretty good expert at getting people to willingly give up their freedom.
I have to give him that credit.
But he's also very, very good at seeing to it that none of what he does ever attaches to him.
And again, there's a New York Times story today.
I gotta mention this again, talking about the fine line he has to walk now with Congress back in town.
It's right, folks, Obama's got a very fine line to walk.
And what they mean is he's gotta find a way to avoid the blame for all that's gonna go wrong when it comes to deficit reduction, gun safety, and amnesty.
He's also got to find a walk a very fine line in seeing to it that whatever does happen doesn't have his fingerprints on it, i.e.
in the limbaugh theorem.
Here's the Fisker automotive news story.
This is the electric car company.
It's from Bloomberg News.
Fisker automotive will be firing as much as 75% of their workforce.
Fisker automotive's mass firings after receiving federal loans to build luxury electric cars is adding to the political debate over the government's funding of clean energy programs.
Most of the assets of Fisker's battery supplier that received a 250 million dollar federal grant, the former A 123 Systems Inc.
were acquired last year by a ChICOM company, and now Fisker, who has been awarded 529 million in uh in U.S. loans, is firing 75% of its workforce after failing to secure a deal with an automotive partner to fund operations.
So it is, it's cylinder all over.
It's folks, it's half a billion dollars down the tubes for something that may work someday, but doesn't yet.
An electric car.
Now I don't know.
I you you depends on where you read about this that you'll find different takes on it.
Like if you go to I read tech blogs a lot.
Oh, speaking of that, one of the tech blogs is Wired.com.
And they are very concerned over the latest ATF regulations.
Have you heard about these?
The uh alcohol, tobacco, and firearms, let me see if I can find it here in the stack, has awarded itself all kinds of sweeping powers to check into your life via your guns.
And the tech guys, you know, they love Obama.
I think he's a great civil libertarian, so they've got a story like this.
And it's fascinating.
It may not be the wired piece per se, but it's fascinating as they report on an administration violating everything they believe in.
It's fascinating to read them give the benefit of the doubt.
Well, of course they're they're they're they're they're seizing this authority, but the fact that they would use it is something else altogether uncertain.
So they make excuses left and right for this massive usurpation.
Here it is.
Here it is.
The ATF wants massive online database to find out who your friends are.
The ATF.
Alcohol, excuse me, alcohol, tobacco, and firearms doesn't just want a huge database to reveal everything about you with a few key words.
It wants one that can find out who you know.
And it won't even try to friend you on Facebook first.
And they're serious when they write this.
According to a recent solicitation from the ATF, they're looking to buy a massive online data repository system for its office of strategic intelligence and information.
The system is intended to operate for at least five years and be able to process automated searches of individuals and find connection points between two or more individuals by linking together structured and unstructured data.
And then they write this later on.
There's no hint the database is to be used to track gun sales, which is a big part of the ATF's job, because the Bureau is prohibited by law from establishing a centralized electronic database for gun purchases.
Now, my my contention to you is that if the Bush administration's ATF had done this, these tech people would be screaming from the top of flagpoles.
They would be outraged over the violation of their privacy, and they would be assuming the absolute worst of what the ATF intended.
But since it is Obama's ATF, why it's perfectly fine the ATF wants this.
In fact, it might help our society be safer.
And there's no hint that the ATF would use this database to track gun sales.
Now, what do they need it for then?
What the hell is the alcohol tobacco firearms munch gonna do with this massive database, if not track people's gun sales usage and all that.
So all of these civil libertarians on the left are just they just sit and twiddle their thumbs when their approved politicians attack their freedoms.
And they they just assume the loftiest of good intentions.
And even when their liberties are usurped, they still make excuses for Obama.
And they still make excuses for the bureaucracies that are making inroads into their liberty and freedom and their privacy.
It's a stunning thing to see.
Because they're sheep.
They're absolute, utter sheep.
It's also, you know, Lady Thatcher.
Truly a great, great woman, a woman who has meant more to freedom and liberty for people all over the world.
In fact, you know, one of the top ten people in of all time in terms of the importance of the liberty and freedom and securing it, gaining it for people.
And you ought to read some of the stuff being said about her.
Happy she died, what a witch.
And it's just I guess where I'm going with this, folks, with all of this today is there is no common ground here.
There there is no overlap of commonality.
There is no place to compromise.
I've got nothing in common with with the people who are applauding Margaret Thatcher's death.
I have nothing in common with them.
whatsoever.
I have nothing in common with people who want to track down a 13-year-old and find a way to get his mind right.
I have no way finding in common with people Who are troubled by a 13-year-old independently informing himself.
There's nothing in common with people like that.
My point is in politics today, we everybody seems focused on finding common ground, compromise, bipartisanship.
That's not the answer to this.
Sadly, it isn't at all the answer.
I gotta take a break.
I'm way long.
Sorry to have to interrupt myself.
There I go, apologizing.
Back with more after this.
Don't go away.
You know, Snerdley had a point about that Fisker car.
If you put a real engine in that car, you put a V-12 or a uh a twin turbo V8 in that car, you've got one heck of a sweet machine.
But you put something in there that's gonna go 40 miles.
Uh it just it never had a chance.
Put a yeah, put a real engine in there.
But can't put a real engine in there because that uses gasoline.
And of course, we're destroying the planet with uh with gasoline.
Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, did more to liberate people by defeating the Soviet Union and freeing Eastern Europe than the Obamas, the Clintons, and Carries of this world ever have.
They were all on the wrong side of that debate.
They wanted to preserve the Soviet prison camp.
But Lady Thatcher and Reagan freed those people.
See you tomorrow, folks.
