Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
You know, this really is unprecedented.
It's not getting any attention.
It's not getting any commentary whatsoever.
It's barely even being reported.
But I mean, this is serious stuff.
The President of the United States has opened up to jails.
The President of the United States, because of budget cuts which have not happened yet, has released 500 or so illegal immigrants.
And by definition of law, they are criminals.
Greetings, folks.
Great to have you.
Rush Limbaugh on Hump Day here on Wednesday.
Great to have you.
Telephone number 800-282-2882.
Email address, lrushvaeibnet.com.
We mentioned this late in the program yesterday.
Hundreds of illegal alien criminals have been released from illegal alien jail.
Janet Big Sis Napolitano says that because the sequester is going to cut 1% of their $2 billion detention budget, they will no longer be able to afford to detain as many as 30,000 criminals.
Now, not all of those have been released yet.
This is the President of the United States.
Look at, folks, I understand that we've got to be very careful here in how we approach criticism of Obama, but man, this is unprecedented.
This is actually action that will do harm.
Now, I know Obama thinks that he's harming Republicans.
This is exacting harm on the country, and it's entirely unnecessary.
None of these so-called budget cuts are necessary.
None of this panic is necessary.
It is not even going to be felt in reality if this sequester actually does happen.
We read the three-paragraph report from the AP on this near the end of the program yesterday, but there hasn't been much mention of it in the rest of the drive-by media.
I've only seen one article buried in the New York Times and a report from Fox News.
Fox is reporting 500 illegal alien criminals were released in Pima County, Arizona alone.
Apparently, Obama never gets tired of sticking it to Arizona.
The New York Times reported that there were reports of releases in more than a dozen other locations all over the country.
Can you imagine any other president doing this in a fit of peak?
Okay, I'll show you.
This is, you know, I'm going to tell you something.
In what used to be considered, if we can remember this far back, normal, sane times, these are, this is an impeachable offense.
This is in direct violation of the oath of office.
Defend and protect the Constitution of the United States and the people who are just opening the doors of prisons before the sequester has even happened.
Before there have even been any budget cuts.
This is so childish.
Except the consequences are real for people that live nearby these detention centers.
This is on the ground, hard cold reality.
And Obama is trying to see to it that the Republicans are being blamed for whatever happens.
I mean, there's a reason that we put people in jail in this country.
They violated the law.
They're not in jail for any other reason.
They're jailed properly.
They're considered a threat, and now they've been let go, and they're in the process of being let go.
Fox is reporting that Homeland Security plans to release up to 10,000 illegal alien criminals eventually.
And by the way, once they're let go, once they're released, what do you think the odds are that they're going to be rounded up, recaptured, and reincarcinated?
I don't think so.
So if you want to, the pure cynical view is that Obama has just let loose 30,000 new Democrat voters.
That's unreal, folks.
It's unreal.
And of course, I'm trying not to get hysterical about this.
I don't want to scare the 24-year-old women in the audience who I'm told I intimidate simply by being me.
I mean, this is, it's unreal.
This is action that is clearly not in the best interest of anybody.
And somehow it's going to redound to Obama's benefit.
Now, for the record, these illegal aliens who are being released really are criminals.
Otherwise, they would never have been detained.
It was the regime that detained them in the first place.
These are not Bush's prisoners.
These are Obama's prisoners.
They were detained and imprisoned by the regime in the first place.
And let's not forget, thanks to Obama's various executive orders, ICE, the immigration people no longer detain any illegal aliens unless they've been convicted of a serious crime.
That's who we're talking about here.
You have to commit a serious crime before we detain you if you're illegal.
So this isn't just a bunch of discriminated against freedom fighters that have been wrongly jailed, finally seeing freedom at all.
These really are convicted criminals that are being released.
And somehow it's being blamed on the Republicans.
And this whole idea is Obama's.
And he's the one that gives the order to Janet Napolitano to release these people.
The Republicans couldn't order this if they wanted to, and yet they're going to end up getting the blame for it.
So this is how far Obama's willing to go to try to punish this country and anybody who stands in the way of him doing and getting what he wants.
In order to punish the Republicans, which is his, that's the first, in his eyesight, that's who he first sees that he wants to punish.
He's willing to punish the whole country in this ongoing effort of his to effectively eliminate any viable opposition.
Bob Woodward was on MSNBC, was on Scarborough's show today.
And I'm going to tell you, I think Woodward, based on what he said, has to be thinking even more.
Bob Woodward said, quote, the president is out there saying he can't go do what he has to to protect the country.
This is a kind of madness.
Bob Woodward attacked Obama today, saying that Obama's decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier because of budget cuts that haven't even happened yet is a kind of madness.
Woodward said, not me.
Woodward said, can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying, oh, by the way, I can't do this because of some budget document.
Or can you imagine George W. Bush saying, you know, I'm not going to invade Iraq because I can't get the aircraft carriers I need because of some budget document.
Can you imagine Bill Clinton saying, you know what, I'm not going to attack Saddam Hussein's intelligence headquarters.
I'm not going to attack that Advil factory because I don't have, because this budget document here, Woodward said, under the Constitution, the president is commander-in-chief and employs the force.
So we now have the president going out because of this piece of paper and this agreement.
I can't do what I need to do to protect the country.
It's kind of a madness.
I haven't seen this in a long time.
Quote, unquote, Bob Woodward.
Now, if he's saying that, what else is he thinking?
And he's right, of course, if you stop and think about this.
Not just releasing 30,000 illegals, but now not deploying an aircraft carrier.
I mean, this is the infantile, immature, childish rant of a spoiled brat.
It's really uncanny.
In my lifetime, it is unprecedented.
And it is a kind of madness.
Ladies and gentlemen, a brief timeout.
We'll come back and continue with the rest of the program.
Donna Brazil tweeted that her insurance premium went up and she doesn't know why.
And I am not kidding.
I literally am not kidding.
Donna Brazil, a tweet, what's on your menu?
I just got off the phone with my health care provider asking them to explain why my premium jumped up.
No good answer.
Now, for those of you who do not know who Donna Brazil is, and there may well indeed be many of you who don't, Donna Brazil is a Democrat campaign specialist.
She is one of the ranking unelected Democrats in the country.
She ran Al Gore's presidential campaign.
She was as close to Bill Clinton as you can get without being Monica Lewinsky.
I mean, she is a ranking, powerful Democrat.
She is constantly on CNN and other networks doing commentary and strategical analysis for the Democrat Party.
And she actually tweeted, just got off the phone with my health care provider asking him to explain why my premium jumped up.
No good answer.
Now, a couple of things stand out.
First, is it possible?
I'm just asking, is it possible she's not aware of Obamacare?
No, not possible.
Second, why is she calling her health care provider asking them about her health insurance?
She said she called her health care provider asking them to explain why her premium jumped up.
Now, the health care provider is the doctor.
Now, what does the doctor have to do with an insurance premium?
Now, maybe when she wrote this, by provider, she means insurance company.
I'm sure she does.
But stop and think of that.
Here's this high-ranking Democrat who thinks her health care provider is her insurance company.
And I guess one way of looking at it may be true.
But beyond that, somebody said, well, maybe she doesn't know about Obamacare.
No, no, no, no.
She knows everything about Obamacare.
The thing that we must ask, does she really believe the crap that was said about it?
You mean to tell me that Donna Brazil bought the idea that her premium would be reduced $2,500 because of Obamacare?
You mean to tell me that?
There has to be some explanation for this.
It could well be that this is a tweet that's just designed to stir people up like me.
Could be she's out there playing a game, knowing full well that people like me are going to do what I'm doing right now, reacting to it.
Donna, call your insurance company or whoever provides you your insurance, your CNN employment plan, whatever.
I don't know where you get your insurance, but call them.
Your doctor doesn't have anything to do with your premium.
But actually, Donna, what you ought to do is call the White House and ask to speak to the president and ask him why your premium went up because he's the reason.
There's this piece of legislation out there called Obamacare, and everybody's premiums, costs are going up.
I can't believe.
See, for me, this is the dividing line.
Does she really think health care is going to get cheaper because of Obamacare?
Or that's what these Democrats actually believe?
I've thought all along they know they're lying through their teeth to us when they tell us costs are going to go down.
There isn't one government-provided entitlement that has ever reduced the cost of anything.
And that's all this is, is a government entitlement program.
There isn't one government program that's ever reduced the cost of anything.
And maybe these people are living in their dreamland and actually think that this was going to lower their premiums.
I have a tough time believing that.
Anyway, let's take a brief time out.
I have managed to find myself inserted into a mayoral campaign in Hartford, Connecticut, even though I have said nothing about it and, in fact, didn't know anything about it.
But I supposedly endorsed one of the candidates.
And the guy I didn't endorse is ripping the hell out of the guy that I didn't endorse because it was reported on Facebook that I did endorse.
It's hilarious.
Even when I'm not someplace, I'm there.
And even when I'm not involved at all, I am the deciding figure.
And of course, then there was extra.
Normally, I told the broadcast engineer, I said, forget soundbites two and three.
That's just habit.
I'm going to play soundbites from Entertainment Tonight type show, but I may have to change my mind because that's also about me.
Well, it's not E.T., it's Extra.
It's Maria Manunas and Mario Lopez, who I met Mario Lopez, the Miss America pageant.
I've told this story.
The actual night of the telecast is Saturday night, and all of us judges are down there on the floor right by the stage.
And Mario Lopez is the MC.
And he winked at me.
From the stage as an acknowledgement, one media professional to another.
I happen to be the only media pro in the judging panel.
The others are former pageant winners or not putting them down.
He just winked at me.
I'm in one one media professional to another.
And here they take me to task for somehow not being fully supportive of Michelle Obama's hijacking of the Academy Awards.
In fact, they get mad at me for referring to it that way.
We'll be back.
Don't go away.
Late yesterday afternoon in Hartford, Connecticut on WTIC-TV, Fox Eyeball News at 4 o'clock, the co-anchor Laurie Perez reported this about the Stamford, Connecticut mayoral candidate, former Lieutenant Governor Michael Fideli and me.
Michael Fidelli announced his campaign for mayor of Stanford.
He's already got his first endorsement.
Rush Limbaugh, the controversial right-wing radio host who's made headlines for his argumentative statements, is publicly supporting Fideli's candidacy.
But Democratic candidate William Tong says Limbaugh's endorsement has no place in this election and is calling on Fideli to renounce it immediately.
Fideli has not yet responded.
Fideli didn't respond because he was clueless.
He had no idea what this Tong guy was talking about because I didn't endorse him.
Until this morning, I'd never heard of Michael Fideli, nor had I ever heard of William Tong.
Nor did I know that I've made headlines because of my argumentative statements.
Did you know that's why I'd made headlines?
That's what the co-anchor there, Laurie Perez, said.
Anyway, this happened.
We have here the Hartford Current website, a little story called Mega Ditto's Mike Fideli.
A link for Republican Mike Fideli's Stanford mayoral campaign has appeared on a Rush Limbaugh Facebook fan page, prompting a swift response from Fideli's Democrat opponent.
And they quote this Tong guy saying that I represent why politics has become dysfunctional and polarized.
And that's because I make argumentative statements, I guess.
And this guy said, look, I believe this Tong guy, the Democrat.
I believe strongly the First Amendment, but I also believe in honest, sincere, well-meaning dialogue.
And Limbaugh doesn't fit any of that.
He shouldn't have any role in the mayor's role.
Tong, what are you worried about?
You ought to let this thing go.
If I'm that bad, this guy doesn't have a chance of winning, right?
Tong's worried.
Once again, ladies and gentlemen, meeting and surpassing all audience expectations every day, El Rushbo here at the distinguished and prestigious Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
So to wrap this up, the mayoral race, Stanford, Connecticut, there's a Rush Limbaugh fan page, a Facebook fan page that I have nothing to do with.
And the Facebook fan page says that.
They say, whoever runs this fan page at Facebook, they make it clear that the page is not affiliated with or run by me.
I have nothing to do with it.
That disclaimer is at the top of the page.
But it didn't stop the low-information media and the low-information Democrat mayoral candidate.
Again, this guy's name is William Tong, and he's just outraged that I would have endorsed his opponent.
Mr. Tong, you know what I would say?
If I'm that bad, if I'm that bad, you should have encouraged my endorsement of Mr. Fideli.
But you're acting awfully defensive and awfully worried that I somehow got involved in this campaign, and you're doing everything you can to get me out of it.
That doesn't sound like the course of action you would take if I am that reprehensible.
You know, I'm seriously thinking of endorsing Mr. Tong here just for the fun of it, to see what he would do with that.
What do you think of that, Brian?
If I endorse William Tong for mayor, the Democrat, I mean, we've done this before.
We helped save Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign with Operation Chaos.
So, anyway, I make headlines for my argumentative statements.
Here are the sound bites from the TV magazine show Extra.
Last night, first off, co-host Maria Menunos talking to the other co-host Mario Lopez.
They had this exchange about Mucha Obama's hijacking of the best picture award at the Epidemic Awards.
We start with Operation Mrs. Obama, the top secret mission to get her on the Oscars.
Yes, and the first lady is taking all kinds of heat for that appearance.
Personally, I think the whole thing is being blown out of proportion.
Thought it was a nice surprise to see her at the end of the show and she had the troops in the background.
Absolutely.
And today, one of the men behind the big surprise is here telling us how it all went down.
Right, so then they get the guy behind the big surprise to tell him how it all went down.
And after the report, they, of course, had to introduce the villain.
And who do you think the villain is?
Let me get this straight.
This was a bad thing.
Michelle Obama amazingly finds herself in the crosshairs of criticism today.
After a surprise Academy Awards show appearance, some are calling Oscar Day.
The biggest mouths on the right calling it political propaganda.
It was out of place.
It was unnecessary.
It was unneeded.
Rush Limbaugh calling it a political hijacking.
She's got nothing to do with Hollywood.
Now, once again, they miss the big point here.
So let me once again explain to you what the real irony was.
Here you have the first lady, the wife of the commander-in-chief, and the commander-in-chief is responsible for the security of all United States employees at embassies around the world.
And she's giving an award for the best movie.
It turns out to be Argo, which is about what?
The successful rescue of six American embassy personnel from Iran in 1979.
Did nobody see the irony of having the first lady of this regime, which failed to protect the lives of American citizens at Benghazi?
Four Americans died at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, and there's the first lady of that regime giving out the best picture award to a movie celebrating the successful rescue of six Americans.
I think that was ironic as it could be.
Now, whether or not I didn't call it Oscargate, and Moochell was not in my crosshairs of criticism, I just openly wondered, you know, you're trucking along, you're watching the show, and in the last minute of a four-hour, actually, it showed on three and a half hours, or maybe 3.05.
I forget.
It wasn't four, it just seemed like it.
And the last minute or so, out of nowhere, you got Michelle Obama with some waiters dressed up as military people in some room in the White House.
And it just, it, I don't know, it didn't flow.
And I openly wondered, even low-information people, are they going to say, wait a minute, we don't want you popping up everywhere we go?
Two female California state lawmakers have condemned Oscar host Seth McFarland's comments during Sunday's award presentation as degrading towards women.
I guess Seth McFarland has made headlines for his argumentative statements, too.
Two California state female lawmakers upset with Seth McFarland because he was degrading toward women.
And they asked the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to use better judgment in the future in selecting a host.
Assemblywoman Bonnie Lowenthal and Senator Hannabeth Jackson, both Democrats who lead the women's caucus in the legislator, sent a letter to the Academy president requesting that the organization disavow Seth McFarland's behavior.
They objected to his focus on the physical appearance of several actresses and his quips about nude scenes.
Furthermore, they said, this is from their official statement in anger.
Furthermore, there was a disturbing theme about violence against women being acceptable, being funny, from topical jabs about domestic violence to singing about boobs.
During a film's rape scene, Seth McFarland crossed the line from humor to misogyny.
He also made light of a domestic violence incident between Chris Brown and the singer Rihanna and joked about the heavy accents of several Latina actresses.
On Oscar night, when Hollywood seeks to honor its best, Seth McFarland's monologue reduced our finest female actresses to caricatures and stereotypes, degrading women as a whole and the filmmaking industry itself.
So, I mean, Seth did.
By the way, he was an equal opportunity host.
He just, he bashed everybody in that audience, every group that was represented in that audience.
He bashed everybody.
Equal opportunity.
But as you see, there's still no sense of humor.
No ability to laugh at yourself or anybody else on the part of uptight and tightly wound libs.
Did you see, have you seen the story that Politico has it?
Senate Republican Ponders ceding power to President Obama.
Did you see that?
Now, when you see that headline, and if you don't know anything about it, if you have nothing to put that headline in context, that's got to look weird.
Senate Republican leaders ponder ceding power to President Obama.
No, no, no.
It's not surrender.
What it is.
Well, I'll tell you what it is after this.
Don't go away.
And we're back.
Great to have you here, as always.
Rush Limbaugh doing what I was born to do.
And you are too.
I was born to host.
You were born to listen, and it's working.
Telephone number 800-282-2882.
Clearly, if you see a headline, Senate GOP ponders shifting power to Obama.
And if that's all you read, you'd be forgiven if you thought that it meant the Republicans are caving in, giving up, surrendering.
Go ahead, Barack, you do it.
But I have a different take.
You know what I think this is?
I think this is the result of the Republicans having heard my theorem.
And I'm not talking to you from a standpoint of ego here.
I think what this is, is an effort to make all of this Obama's responsibility.
I think this is an effort to shift the perception of who's responsible for this to Obama, because he is.
He is the one who chooses what gets cut in a sequester.
For five years, well, four and a half years, Obama has gotten away with no accountability for four plus years, the entire time of his presidency.
He has gotten away with a perpetual campaign where he is not seen as having any relationship to what's actually happening in the country.
His agenda, his policies are not tied.
The American people, low-information voters, do not associate the policies of this administration with the realities of life in this country.
Obama has gotten away with portraying the Republicans, be it George Bush or Boehner, McConnell, whoever he wants to name, as the villains.
They're the guys destroying everything.
They're the guys responsible for you not having a job.
The Republicans are why your house has no value.
The Republicans are destroying the planet.
The Republicans, everything.
They're doing it.
Obama is valiantly fighting it.
He creates that perception with the perpetual never-ending campaign.
This is the Limbaugh theorem.
And I think, I think the Republicans have heard it.
Because here's the story.
Days before the March 1st deadline, Senate Republicans are circulating a draft bill that would cancel $85 billion in across-the-board spending cuts and instead turn over authority to Obama to achieve the same level of savings under a plan to be filed by March 8th.
What they want to do is basically cancel the sequester and then reinstitute it on March 8th with Obama by virtue of legislation in total control of it.
Now, it's nothing more than a PR move because Obama already is in charge of whatever spending cuts take place after the sequester.
And I'm not making that up, and I'm not offering it as criticism.
It's just a fact.
And it doesn't matter if the president were Rin Tin Tin.
The way the law is written, when the sequester happens, it's the president.
That's why there's such outrage over Obama releasing 30,000 criminals, illegal alien criminals.
He doesn't have to do that.
He doesn't have to lay off Border Patrol agents.
He doesn't have to not deploy an aircraft carrier.
He doesn't have to partially lay off or furlough 800,000 Pentagon employees.
He can cut money wherever he wants to.
He could cut money in areas that are duplicated, redundant, and would never be missed.
There's so much waste and fraud in this budget, you can't count it all.
He can eliminate some of that.
But no, he's releasing even before the sequester has gone into effect.
He's released thousands of jailed, imprisoned criminals.
Folks, you know what?
That's the kind of thing that Saddam Hussein did.
Saddam Hussein did that exact thing on the eve of our invasion of Iraq.
He just opened the doors to his jails and he let every reprobate that he was holding loose.
He created total panic and havoc in Baghdad and throughout the country.
That's the kind of thing Obama's done here.
And it's totally unnecessary.
So I think, and I could be wrong, but I think what's happening here is that the Senate Republicans want to officially, in a way that makes everybody aware, Obama is in charge of these cuts.
Because right now, they are getting to blame for it.
And I think they've become aware of the Limbaugh theorem.
I think now, you know, look at the Limbaugh theorem as a scouting report.
If you want to put this in a sports analogy, I'm a scout.
I've gone out and I've scouted the opposition.
I've filed my report with the Republicans.
I've said, here's what the guy's doing.
He's making it look like everything happening is because of you.
He's been president for five years, but the people do not associate his agenda and his policies with life in America.
The unemployment has nothing to do with Obama's policies.
Obama is seen as valiantly trying to create jobs.
You are the guys destroying jobs.
Now, in the sequester, you're the guys closing the Pentagon.
You're the guys that are forcing him to release prisoners.
You're the guys forcing him to go lax on border security.
That's what he's giving away.
And I think what they're trying to do here, it'll never work, but it's the optics.
I think they're trying the legislation to actually get people aware of what already is fact anyway, and that is whatever cuts made are Obama's and his alone.
Look, I know Obama is saying that he can't change the cuts by himself, but in fact, he can.
In reality, Obama's the only one who can change where the cuts take place by virtue of the law.
