Rush Lindbaugh, the mayor of Realville, back here with you for another Sterling Busy Broadcast Hour.
Happy to be here with you.
It's the always a thrill and a delight.
Telephone number if you want to be on the program.
We will get to your phone calls Il Quico here today, 800 282-2882, and the email address El Rushbo at EIB net.com.
The mayor of Realville.
Well, I want with the assistance here of Betsy McCoy, who is an expert starting way back in the days of Hillary Care.
She is scholar and an expert in all of this.
She has a piece in the New York Post today.
And this is about Obamacare.
And this is not Realville.
We're not talking about the abstract any longer.
It's the law of the land.
This is realville.
President Obama's re-election, Democrat gains in the U.S. Senate, and any possibility of repealing Obamacare.
It'll roll out as written.
It imposes major changes soon on you and your family.
If you are uninsured because you can't afford it, help may be on the way.
But if you are one of the 250 million Americans with coverage, there are big problems ahead.
If you get your health insurance through a job, you might lose it as of January 1st, 2014.
That's when the new employer mandate kicks in.
January 1st, 2014, and it requires employers with 50 or more full-time workers to provide the government-designed health plan or pay a fine.
Now we've talked about this.
You know about it in the abstract.
You either pay be covered or pay a fine.
And you know, if you've been listening here regularly, that the fines in the first couple, three years are much cheaper than the policy.
So you pay the fine and you're legal.
You don't go to jail, you don't get fined, you you pay the fine, you're okay, you're in compliance.
What does that do?
Takes more people out of the private insurance market by design.
Because what must happen here is the private insurance market must cease to exist for Obamacare to realize its ultimate dream.
So January 1st, 2014, the employer mandate kicks in, and it requires bosses with 50 or more people full time to provide the government designed health plan or pay a fine.
The government plan is so expensive that it adds 1.7, $1.79 per hour to the cost of a full-time employee.
Now stop and think of this.
Oh Rush, that doesn't sound like much.
Well, you pay it.
You have the business and you a dollar seventy-nine an hour per employee additional to be in compliance with federal law.
That is how expensive the government plan is.
$1.79 per hour to the cost of a full-time employee.
That is incidental if you're neurosurgeon, but that's a lot of money.
If you're hiring bus boys and sales clerks and the like at small businesses.
Now currently, employers in retail and fast food industries pay less than half of that to cover their workers.
They're paying less than a buck eighty an hour to cover their people.
To avoid the costly mandate, some employers will push their people into part-time status.
Others will opt to pay the fine.
Either way, workers are going to lose coverage.
You're either going to be converted to part-time or you're not going to be covered, and your company will pay the fine because it's cheaper than insuring you.
Even worse than that, they risk losing their jobs.
Even the fine is 98 cents an hour to the cost of labor.
So to insure every employee a buck seventy-nine an hour to pay the fine ninety-eight cents an hour.
And that's enough to make some employers cut back on their workforce.
In this economy, folks, you have to understand, and a lot of you people on the left don't.
The people on the left actually think there shouldn't be any profit.
Why should somebody make money treating the sick, Mr. Limbois?
It's not fair.
Why should there be profit in selling services that the American people need?
They really ask that.
It's how they've been educated.
Why is who needs profit?
Why can't you get everything for what it costs?
They don't understand that the producers will not get in the game for that.
They don't understand the service providers won't get into business for that.
They don't understand the business can't stay in business not making money.
But education in this country has been so successful at demonizing profit.
Profit equals screwing people.
Profit equals taking advantage.
Profit equals the rich.
This is the nature of leftist education for two or three generations, if not more.
So when this happens, you're going to have all kinds of protests.
I mean, you might have riots against these companies.
You're already starting to see the beginnings of that with Papa John's and Applebee's as they are announcing the effect and the changes in the way they do business because of the Obamacare law, Obama supporters, probably organized, are harassing them via email and Twitter and getting everybody all lathered up.
It's what's coming.
That's realville.
There's no stopping this.
There's no rolling this back.
As many as a third of employers, according to research, are considering canceling insurance coverage totally.
This is the uh result of a survey done by McKinsey and Company, which is a management consultant group.
They are hired by businesses to help run in a streamlined way, make corporate hires, executive hires decisions, and so forth.
Now, that doesn't mean that you'll be uninsured.
You just won't have the choice.
If your employer cancels coverage, you you're out the window.
When you file your taxes, this is also part of Obamacare that is now real.
When you file your taxes, you're gonna have to show proof that you are enrolled in the one size fits all plan approved by the federal government.
It's mandatory, starting January 1st, 2014.
I, El Rushbro, do not have health insurance.
I'm a self-employed individual who chooses not to have it.
I pay it as I go.
I can't tell you how much money I've saved over the course of my life, by the way.
See, I have been very fortunate.
I have been able to not get caught up in the very real fear that everybody has that they're gonna die tomorrow.
And that somehow having health insurance is gonna prevent that, or that they're gonna be broke tomorrow.
So it to me it's like anything else.
I pay for it as I need it.
No longer.
I will not be able to do that, nor will anybody else.
I am going to have to go get an insurance policy, and it's gonna be the same policy that everybody else gets.
Starting January of 2014.
The freedom to decide what kind of health insurance you have or whether or not you want to roll a dice and have any, you know who this is gonna, in fact, young people are like me.
I don't need it.
I'm not gonna get deathly sick tomorrow.
I'm only 24 years old.
What the hell do I need it?
Sorry, pal, you don't have the option.
You gotta have it.
And if your employer doesn't provide it for you, that's no excuse.
You are gonna have to have it, or you are gonna pay a fine.
And when you file your taxes, you will have to show proof that you're enrolled in one of these plans or pay The fine.
And if you don't, if you don't enroll in the health care plan, the IRS is empowered.
It's the law.
They can withhold your tax refund.
You know how many people plan on a huge tax refund and think that they're screwing the government in the process.
That's another story.
You know how many people plan on that?
If you don't do what Obamacare mandates that you do, January 1, 2014, if you don't have mandated insurance, they are going to withhold your tax refund.
And there is a brand new form that you have to fill out in addition to your 10 whatever.
Just for this, if you have been going without insurance, or if your employer drops coverage, your options will be enrolling in Medicaid, if you're eligible, or buying a government-approved health plan at your local state exchange.
Again, let's go through this.
When you file your taxes, you will have to show proof that you are enrolled in the one size fits all plan approved by the federal government.
That's mandatory, mandatory starting January 1st of 2014.
If you don't, the IRS will withhold your tax refund so that the government gets paid your fine.
If you have been going without insurance, or your employer drops your coverage, you will either have to enroll in Medicaid, and you have to qualify for that, then they're making that easier, by the way, or you'll have to go to your state exchange and buy a policy.
What is this exchange?
What is an insurance exchange?
Explained it earlier.
Betsy McCoy says like a supermarket that only sells one thing.
The exchange will sell only the government-designed plan.
There will not be a smorgasbord in the exchange.
You're not going to have option A, option B, option C. There's going to be one plan you can buy.
In January 2014, you are required by law to have it.
Or they withhold your tax refund.
In most states, the exchanges will be an 800 number.
$800.
Or a website and a government office, like the DMV.
But there is a there's a little light here at the end of the tunnel for some of you.
If your household income is $92,200 or less, you will be eligible for a subsidy.
Yes, your neighbors will pay part of your health care insurance if you make $92,200 or less.
Now of course it's wolf.
Let me give you a statistic.
If you make $60,000 a year, you're in the top 10% of wage earners in this country.
$60,000 or up.
You're the top 10%.
Next time you hear them talk about the rich.
So this $92,200, how many of you aren't earning that but would like to?
That's that's a lot of money.
And yet it qualifies for a subsidy.
If you make less than that, your neighbors will make up whatever you can't pay.
If you are a seasoned citizen or if you are a baby boomer, it means if you're aged or becoming aged.
and Expect less care than in the past because cuts to future Medicare funding, pay for more than half the Obama health law.
Obama cuts $716 billion from Medicare.
Romney and Ryan tried to explain this during the campaign.
$716 billion has been cut from Medicare.
Well, that's for the poor.
That money's gone.
It's being used on younger, more productive, longer living people.
Can you say death panels?
Hospitals, for example, will have 247 billion dollars less to care for the same number of seniors than if the law had not passed.
So hospitals will spread nurses thinner.
California nurses, by the way, are already striking over the increased workloads.
Now, when Medicare cuts led hospitals to reduce nursing care in the past, elderly patients had a lower chance of surviving their stay, death rates from heart attacks rose, according to a report last year by the National Bureau of Economic Research.
Well, they're taking treatment money away from the elderly and shifting it to the young.
For the first time in history, the federal government will control how doctors treat privately insured patients for the first time in history.
That's in section 1311 of the law.
It empowers the Secretary of Health and Human Services to standardize what doctors do.
In this case, Kathleen Sabilis.
So even if you have a private plan from Signa or Aetna, and you paid for it yourself, the federal government will have some say over your doctor's decisions.
The reason?
They want to reduce health care consumption.
The federal government wants fewer people going to the doctor or the hospital every day.
Now Snerdley is yelling at, how are they going to blame the Republicans for this?
Oh, they'll find a way.
They'll find a way.
I mean, they've been they've been blaming Republicans for kicking the old people social security out of their homes or cutting their social security for how many decades now.
If you sell your house, are you ready for this?
Have you seen the stories about all these people asset dumping right now?
People selling their houses, selling their stocks, and you think, well, that's just the rich.
You know why they're doing it?
In part, here is why.
After January 1st, 2014, if you sell your house and if you make a profit, you will be paying a new 3.8% tax on the gain, in addition to the existing capital gains tax rate.
The law includes about half a trillion dollars in tax increases, including a new 3.8% tax on gains from selling any asset, including your house, your small business, stocks, bonds.
Oh, I'm sorry, it's effective next January, not 24%.
That's effective in two months.
That's on top of capital gains taxes and applies to any profit that pushes your income over $200,000.
An additional 3.8% over a capital gains tax that's already gonna go up as part of tax amagin from 15 to 20%, maybe to 25%.
This is realville now.
Why did you tell us we did everything I've told you and more we spent years telling people about?
So uh folks, the bottom line here is this this is as good as it gets on health care.
This is it.
Enjoy it.
Your capital gains tax increase happens automatically January 1, the rest of this stuff January 2014.
Up until then, it's as good as it gets.
Now the law is 2,572 pages.
And there are many changes that nobody knows yet that will be imposed.
You know why?
Because the regulations haven't been written.
The law is open-ended.
New regulations can be written by new federal workers.
And the regime is hiring federal workers at a rapid pace to churn out and enforce these new rules.
Have you seen the stories on the numbers of new regulations popping every week?
Not just in health care, but across the board from this administration.
The government's own projections say that the cost of health care administration, which is bureaucrats telling doctors and patients what to do, will soar from $29 billion 2008 to $71 billion by 2020.
That, folks, let me give you a number to put that in perspective.
From $30 billion to $71 billion, we're talking $40 billion increase in bureaucratic expenses to administer health care.
That is enough money to buy private health plans for half of all Americans who are now uninsured because they can't afford it.
This law has never been about health insurance.
It has never been about health care.
This law is trillions in expenses and deficit spending.
And it's ostensibly to cover the uninsured and to lower the costs for those who are.
This is one of the biggest deceits that's ever been spread.
For eighty to a hundred million dollars, we can insure everybody who's uninsured.
Versus trillions for this.
This is not about health care.
It's not about insuring the uninsured.
It is about the total control of a free people.
Under the guise of health care.
Once you once you're in charge of people's health, I mean everything people do affects their health, and therefore you, as the government have the power to regulate it, which is what's on tap starting January 2014.
So you say, well, is there something that could be done?
I think so, but I'm not in the House of Representatives.
I will explain when we come back.
Before that, though, we're going to take some phone calls.
So sit tight.
Be back here before you know it.
The plot, the plot thickens in the real housewives of West Point.
New data has been uncovered about Jill Kelly and her cancer surgeon husband Scott over in Tampa.
This is from the UK Daily Mail.
The housewife and a whistleblower at the center of the Petraeus Sex Scandal.
And another scandal involving General John Allen.
This is the Daily Mail now.
I'm reading it.
May have been hoping for some financial gain by lifting the lid on the affair because it emerged today at Jill Kelly and her husband are broke.
Tampa socialite, Jill Kelly, 37, her cancer surgeon husband Scott, it is said here, owe millions of dollars to banks after the collapse of their real estate holdings in 2010 and that their palatial mansion is under foreclosure.
That's debt.
That's all we got.
That's just the latest addition to the real housewives of the Pentagon or West Point.
Here is Keith in Palm Bay, Florida, as we start on the phones.
Great to have you, sir.
Hello.
Hey, thanks for taking my call, Rush.
This this just outrageous.
I mean, every Sunday I watch George Stephanopoulos at 1145 to see the names, to read the names and acknowledge our fallen troops every week.
We're up to 4,000.
Over 4,000 dead over there.
They we should demand them to come home.
The leader over there, General Patreus, is playing FTSE with his autobiographer.
He goes to the CIA still playing Footsy with her and giving bad intelligence on the Benghazi and stuff.
The next general is playing FTSE with the socialite, these teeny bopper, 40-year-old teeny boffers.
What kind Afghanistan didn't even come in the top tenth issue uh of the of the election.
What is going on with our country?
It's like living in a perpetual nightmare, and our troops are the one who's not a good thing.
Depends on you to find it.
We are in a never-ending loop of entertainment tonight.
The country has become the e-entertainment network, or TMZ.
I mean, you're exactly right.
Stephanopoulos in Iraq used to used to read the names of the dead as a campaign aid for the Democrats.
Now we've got the commanding general in Afghanistan playing footsee, as you say, with the socialite.
We got Petraeus doing what he was doing with his biographer.
All this is coming out.
People are very titillated by it.
They can't, I mean, I've I've even myself, I had some what I happen to think pretty great lines about this.
But what do you expect?
The president has announced the deadline for defeat in Afghanistan.
Keith, when he says we're getting out of there 2014, he's telling the Taliban, just hang on, this is when you win.
We've got rules of engagement that prevent our guys from actively engaging the enemy over there.
General Adams was on 60 minutes a month ago expressing his frustration with the limits that he's got.
I know what you mean.
It seems like every rock solid institution that we used to be able to count on has now been corrupted and is as politicized and unreliable, and we don't know the truth about what happens there, nor can we depend on it as anything else that's happened that the Democrats have gotten hold up, education, uh morality, you name it.
We're headed down to the gutter.
When we we've been on that trajectory for a long time, and they're taking every valued institution with them.
You say what's happening to the country, what's happening.
If we want to get this country back, I'll tell you what we're gonna have to do.
We're gonna have to do the long view, Keith.
We are gonna have to rest control the education system from the Democrats.
Public education.
We're gonna have to get that back because that's they sowed the seeds for this 50 years ago.
They've been patient just like the Soviets were.
Soviets didn't do things in four-year blocks.
They had the long view.
However long it took, you stay on course.
You're right on education.
I I've been advocating it sounds like 1984, but I believe there should be cameras in every one of them classrooms and watching what these teachers are teaching these kids instead of having cameras in the in the courtroom watching them go to jail.
I'll tell you something else.
I'll tell you something right along the same lines.
And in fact, I want to read to you from our old buddy Jake Christian Adams, who left the Justice Department because Holder refused to prosecute the guilty new Black Panther Party for voter fraud in 2008 in Philadelphia.
J. Christian Adams left because he realized that black defendants were not going to be charged nor prosecuted, pursued by this Justice Department.
And he writes the following.
There is only one way to obtain the support of Hispanics and other minorities eventually.
Conservatives must first confront and destroy the credibility of the racial interest groups that serve as the gatekeepers to these communities.
Once relevant and noble groups like the NAACP and others less notable, such as uh LULAC and MALDEF, must be exposed as the frauds that they have become in 2012.
Their finances and their racialist agenda must be revealed and lampooned.
Their racial extortion of corporate America must be confronted.
Their entire political operation of these groups must be vivisected by some of the brightest investigative and journalistic conservative minds.
Otherwise, the skilled and experienced racial antagonism operation of these racial organizations will keep the herd together, voting in solid blocks, no matter how much outreach the GOP does.
Now, this is a daunting agenda, and it's become daunting because nobody gave it a shot over all these years.
The NAACP must be exposed for the corrupt bunch that they've become.
These racial minority groups vote as blocks, not because they're informed voters, at least not informed on the issues of the day.
They follow the leaders of their special interest groups.
And what do we do, by the way?
We send our candidates to the NAACP convention every year.
We pander.
We pander.
It doesn't do any good.
Education.
I don't know what you do.
I mean, when when you have public education The way it is, the things that are taught about this country today, the things that are taught about profit, the things taught about business, the things taught about how evil white Europeans are the reason this country's unjust and unfair.
There's a reason people believe the nonsense they believe.
The nonsense, Keith, that you look out there and you see that they believe, and you can't understand it.
How could anybody vote a second term for this disaster?
They did.
And the Republicans don't seem to care to find out what the real reason is.
The Republicans are convinced it's because they're not pandering enough.
His pandering enough.
Now that's my the Republicans call it reach out.
But they're whistling Dixie if they think the Democrats are going to surrender any of their voters.
I find this the most comical thing that I've seen in a long time.
We have all these Republicans, all these Republican consultants, all the intelligentsia in the conservative media say, okay, we got to take emigration off.
We gotta reach out to Hispanics.
We gotta show them, and how are we gonna do it?
We're gonna we're gonna let them know we're in favor of a pathway to citizenship, and we're in favor of amnesty.
We're no longer gonna uh say things that might defend them and so forth.
And of course the Democrats are saying, you Republicans, you don't have a prayer unless you reach out to these people.
Right.
The Democrats are gonna let us have these voters.
Who in the world thinks that this is going to happen?
I don't mean to boy.
I went through all this yesterday.
But I mean, these these are the obstacles that we face.
But we have nothing countering public education.
And we have nothing countering eentertainment tonight or TMZ or entertainment, whatever the pop culture, we don't have anything that counters it.
All we have is gee, I hope that they listen to us or see us and realize what they're being told is a bunch of lies.
I wish I hope they could see that Newt's really not a nerd or a square.
Wish they could see that Paul Ryan really is hip.
He really is a great American.
Not.
And now look.
They can their comedians can be the most raucous, filthy, insensitive, insulting they can be, and they are given accolades.
We can't even joke about them without being called racist, sexist, bigots, insensitive or what have you.
We can't even laugh at them.
We have to sit by and allow ourselves to be the subjects of derision, mockery, insult, lies, and you don't think those negative ads against Romney worked?
I'm here to tell you that I believe that they did.
I fully believe that a bunch of people were made to believe that Mitt Romney actually enjoyed watching a guy's wife die.
I am here to tell you that I actually believe now that there are a number of people who think that Mitt Romney is a full-fledged criminal who has sheltered all of his money in the Cayman Islands and wants to get hold of this country so that he and his buddies can do more of the same.
That's what the people that believe that have been taught since they first started going to school.
Hell, even before school.
Daycare.
I've told you the stories I have learned of what goes on in schools here in South Florida.
History class.
High school.
Teacher, routinely every day did nothing but trash and lie about George W. Bush and conservatives and me and policy, built up Barack Obama or whatever Democrat it was.
When it came time, she gave the students the mythical answers to a test that she had never presented any subject on.
They got the answers to the test, they all passed.
The teacher looked like she was a great teacher to her administrators.
She ain't even teaching history.
She was nothing but an apparatchic, an activist.
The parents all knew.
They were afraid what the school would do to their kids if they called attention to it.
So their recourse was to try to counter the pollution occurring in the classroom when the kids got home.
Because they were scared of what would happen to the kids' grades.
Every parent wants their kid to go to college.
To get into college, you gotta have a decent GPA.
If the high school shafts your kid, you don't get him into college or you don't get a scholarship, so while the teachers are literally corrupting and polluting your child's mind right in front of your face, you don't do anything about it because you're afraid doing so will harm your kid.
Well, now, until stuff like this stops, we're gonna keep getting electoral outcomes like we're getting.
And we're gonna continue to have Republican and so-called conservative leaders who haven't the slightest idea what's going on, blaming themselves for this or blaming their media like me, or blaming stupid candidates or whatever.
Rather than realizing who the real opponents here are.
I gotta take a break.
I'm glad you called Keith, and I know you are too.
Back after this.
By the way, if you think that I'm wrong on this immigration business and Republican outreach, I want to give you California.
California is the future of the country.
Do you realize between 1952 and 1988, 1988's the important year?
That that is when massive immigration began in California.
Between 1952 and 1988, Republicans won every presidential race except 1964.
Democrats have won the last five elections.
What's the difference?
1952 to 1988, Republicans won every presidential race.
The Republicans were, to one degree or another, relevant players in the politics of California.
And then the floodgates opened in 1988.
And I'm sure the Republicans in California thought, you know what?
If we reach out, we can get some of these people to vote for us.
It isn't going to happen.
The current makeup of things, it just isn't going to happen.
Because we don't even, the Republicans aren't even willing to be honest with themselves about why the Hispanic vote, minority vote, goes to the Democrats in the first place.
They really want to believe it's because they don't reach out or their media people say things that hurt their feelings or what have you.
As long as the Republicans are going to be in denial about why they're losing elections, they're never going to get to the bottom of fixing them.
As a have you heard, I'm going to go back to Petraeus here for that.
Have you heard, by the way, that Petraeus went to Libya after Benghazi did his own investigation?
He did.
He interviewed people himself.
But before, you got to remember this too.
Petraeus also testified, or I think he testified.
I think it was testimony.
He didn't testify, he said publicly that it was spontaneous combustion that led to what happened in Benghazi.
He lent credence to the fact that it was the video as the CIA.
Then he goes there.
He went to Benghazi.
conducted his own interviews.
It's after that trip to Benghazi that all of this starts hitting the fan.
Praeus probably is.
He knows full well what happened, and he could explain what really happened.
But what happens now if he does?
And by the way, how does Hillary Clinton get away with being out of the country in Panetta?
What is this?
A monarchy?
And sorry, I don't feel like testifying.
I'm really tired.
All I want to do is sleep and taste wine.
That's what Mrs. Clinton said.
But let's say that they bring Petraeus up and he says, yeah, I went over there and investigated and I found out that it wasn't spontaneous, had nothing to do with the video.
If he says that now, he says it as what?
No.
He says it as somebody who has been ethically corrupted with the release of the news that he had this affair.
And that would give the media and the regime the sh oh he's just got sour grapes.
He's just up here, he's not grateful for what this president did for him.
Promoting him in Afghanistan and then making him CI director.
He's got sour grapes.
He's just trying to get even the so I don't doubt that there's an effort to discredit the guy.
And what he knows.
This has not been widely reported, but it's trickling out now.
Yes, sir, Bob, ladies and gentlemen.
So in the um the real housewives of West Point, one thing patently obvious, and that is the generals are being led here by their privates rather than the other way around.
