Time Text
Right on cue, right at the Reverend Jacks, ladies and gentlemen, long lines to vote are a sign of suppression.
Long lines to vote are a form of voter suppression.
They're always pushing left, folks, no matter what we do.
No matter what the Republican Party says or does, and no matter how much love it professes, they're always going to move left.
And you see the story in 59 Philadelphia voting districts, Mitt Romney got zero votes, not one vote in 59 Philadelphia voting districts.
Anybody believe that?
I mean, it happened.
Anybody believe it really happened?
Not one vote in 59 Philadelphia voting districts.
Great to have you back here, folks.
Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network, and the prestigious distinguished Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies that were going nowhere.
Telephone number 800-282-2882.
Cornell West, who has embarked on this poverty tour with Tavis Smiley of PBS.
They're always pushing left.
Now, listen to that.
Cornell West, in an interview late last week with Democracy Now, had harsh criticism for Obama.
Cornell West called Obama a Rockefeller Republican in blackface.
Not somebody who's actually looking out for the best interests of the impoverished.
The prominent social critic, Cornell West, who again is African American, also lashed out at black MSNBC personalities, accusing them of selling their souls in support of a president who's been anything but progressive.
He said, I think it's morally obscene and spiritually profane to spend $6 billion on an election, $2 billion on a presidential election, not have any serious discussion.
The thing about Cornell West, he's right about something.
Obama has left millions more impoverished.
And the numbers of African Americans in poverty grew.
The number of African Americans unemployed grew almost to geometric proportions.
The number of people on food stamps more than we have were told.
Let me find that story that let me see.
Oh, by the way, guess folks.
Do you remember back in the 90s when Clint was lying left and right?
We got stories in the New York Times how telling lies is actually good for us.
Little white lies actually help spare people's feelings.
Forbes has a story.
Receiving a compliment has same positive effect as receiving a raise.
Do you realize now people who have jobs are now being told, don't expect any money, but you know what?
When you get praised, it means just as much to you.
Honestly, compliments may not pay the rent, but according to new research, they help improve performance in a similar way to receiving a cash award.
Researchers recruited 48, count them, 48 adults for the study.
They were asked to learn and perform a specific finger pattern, which is pushing on a keyboard in a particular sequence as fast as possible in 30 seconds.
And once participants had learned the finger exercise, they were then separated into three groups.
When the participants were asked to repeat the finger exercise the next day, don't get distracted by this procedure here.
Here's the meat.
A group of participants who received direct compliments from an evaluator performed significantly better punching their fingers than participants from other groups.
The result indicates that receiving a compliment after exercising stimulated the individuals to perform better even a full day forward.
So get ready.
You aren't going to get any raises.
There aren't any.
In fact, your costs for health care, you haven't, taxes, you better get ready.
But you aren't going to get any raises.
You aren't going to get any bonuses.
And that ain't going to happen.
But if your boss will compliment you, it counts just as much.
You get a thumbs up.
Your boss is going to give you a thumbs up.
I'm going to call you in.
You are valuable.
We couldn't do what we're doing without you.
I'm sorry.
You'll have to live on that.
That's what people are being told.
Now, here's the thing.
Here's the thing that we've got to understand.
People will accept this now.
We have to understand, given where we are culturally, that this will be fine.
We sit here and we laugh and discard this or discount this, but this will be okay.
As long as it's perceived to have its roots in Obamaism, it'll be okay.
There will not be a revolt of workers demanding money instead of compliments.
In fact, we're going to get stories.
Remember the stories we got?
The value of being unemployed and how you got closer to your family, how you got close to your dogs, you're able to get closer to your friends.
It's going to be the same thing here.
Lack of raises, but many compliments equals an improved self-esteem.
We're going to get stories from people who go, they want the money anyway.
You wait.
I've learned, folks.
I now know how to translate this stuff.
But Cornell West is right.
He is right.
There are many more impoverished in this country after all of Obama's spending and after all the spending on Obama's election.
There are many more impoverished, and a lot of them are black.
Now, I'll stop short of saying that Obama is a Rockefeller Republican and blackface, but that's what Cornell West says.
And of course, he can say it.
One more little aside to your Republican consultants.
And I'm really, I'm not taking what you're saying about me personally because it isn't new.
I'm really trying to be helpful here.
You know, our side really does want to win elections.
We really do.
Do you think maybe that this last election shows that ruthless, lying, repetitive, petty character assassination works?
What did they do to Mitt Romney?
You look at the vote totals.
Romney and Ryan got 1.8 million, it turns out, and I think the number, 1.8 million fewer votes than McCain got.
How did that happen?
Well, we got all kinds of arguments.
Some Republicans didn't like Romney sat home.
Some didn't like being a Mormons at home.
What if Obama's voter suppression worked?
Because that was a central element of his campaign.
Depress, dispirit.
What if a number of people thought it was futile anyway?
The Republicans didn't have a chance.
What if Obama's voter suppression campaign did work?
You know, we sit here, we must reach out.
We must be likable.
We must show the Hispanics and the women that we do not threaten them and so forth.
I mean, it's absurd to accept these premises about ourselves.
And then tell us we lost the election because we're not for amnesty.
We lost the election because we're not for abortion.
We lost the election because we're too rigid in these social issues.
We lost the election because there are too many conservatives.
How did Obama win this thing?
Ruthless, lying, repetitive, petty character assassination.
That's what worked.
Now, my friends, I know some of you may be a little depressed after the election.
Maybe some of you are a lot depressed.
But life goes on.
And certainly we here at the EIB network go on.
And those of us at 2IF by T go on.
In honor of the Marine Corps birthday and Veterans Day, we want to give you an escape.
We want to give you an opportunity for escape.
We still live in a beautiful country.
The United States is still filled with some of the most amazing destinations in the world.
Is there anywhere that you've always wanted to visit, but you haven't been able to?
Have you said to yourself, I'd love to go skiing in Aspen, see what that's like, or drive across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, or hang out at the beach in Miami, or go hang around the Grand Canyon.
Is there any place in this country that you've always wanted to visit?
Well, here's your chance to name it.
Starting right now, at this moment, through tomorrow at 11.59 p.m. Pacific time, anyone that shops at 2ifbyte.com will be automatically entered to win a three-day, two-night grand prize trip for two to anywhere in the continental United States you want to go.
You name it.
You pick it.
Three days, two nights for two anywhere in the continental U.S. All you have to do is come up with the place that you've always wanted to go and we will do the rest.
And by the way, as you know, we don't do it on the chintzy.

Now, remember, for all of you who are new listeners here, 2FBT is a proud sponsor of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.
Now, this is a wonderful group of people.
It's a foundation that provides college scholarships and financial support to the children of fallen heroes lost at war or at home in tragedies like 9-11.
We are profoundly appreciative, incredibly appreciative of our military and their families and their sacrifices that they make every single day.
They risk their lives for us, and we are eternally grateful.
They volunteer to do things that 99.5% of the country would never, ever do.
And we have information on the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation on every bottle of 2F by Tea.
And by the way, there's an added bonus here.
It happens to be the best tea in the country.
Blueberry, peach.
We got diet we have regular.
We have unsweetened.
We've got it all.
It is just the best you've ever tasted.
That's the added bonus.
Everybody who tastes it says so.
Even people who previously didn't like iced tea love 2IF by T.
So good luck and don't forget, or good luck, and don't forget to shop to ifbytea.com right now through tomorrow at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
And if you win the grand prize, you pick where you're going.
We take care of getting you there and getting you home and seeing to it that while you're there, it is an unforgettable, memorable time.
So, a memo to those of you businesses out there who are reducing hours due to Obamacare.
Do it with lavish praise and compliments, and you're covered.
No problemo.
As you tell people, no new hours, no additional hours.
In fact, maybe no job.
Tell them how great they are, and they'll walk away happy.
That is the latest news out there.
Compliments matter more than money.
Food stamps surged by the most in a year in the two months prior to the election.
All-time record delayed release of information.
The regime withheld information on food stamp usage.
You know, the Republican Party could always use better candidates, but that being said, what kind of candidate overcomes this?
Obama's USDA delayed release of a shockingly huge surge in food stamp usage.
Here are the numbers.
Obama delayed releasing information, revealing a record-breaking monthly increase from July to August of 421,000.
That's almost 10,000 new food stamp recipients per state in a single month.
421,000 new food stamp users.
And they all voted Obama, folks.
I guarantee you.
We have now a culture that will vote itself a lifestyle it is unwilling to earn.
And that's cruel.
I will be castigated for saying that.
That will be, what will they say?
That's insulting Obama vote.
That's calling them moochers.
That's calling them slackers.
And this again, see, this is how Limbaugh loses votes for the Republican Party.
Slandering Obama voters.
That's how I say, we're never going to get those voters as long as I keep talking about them.
Limbaugh, as long as you keep saying that people will vote themselves lifestyles they're unwilling to earn, the Republicans are never going to get those votes.
Really?
So it's actually kind of comical.
Meanwhile, I mean, vote buying, vote buying really took off during the summer.
It just said nobody knew about it.
And we're told Republicans are supposed to study this sort of thing and learn lessons that can be applied to 2016.
Well, what's the lesson here?
No, no, no, no, sir.
We got to give away more stuff.
Do you think the Democrats are going to let us in on the giveaway game?
Oh, that's wonderful.
Let's engage in the giveaway game.
Anyway, let's move on.
I got a phone call.
Luis Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Hello, sir.
Hello, Rush.
What an honor, man.
Finally, after many years of listening to you, I'll be able to talk to you for the first time.
Thank you very much, Luis.
I'm Hispanic, and I have always voted conservative, Republican, and not because I am rich, I'm lower middle class.
It's just because of the fact that in nature, most Hispanics are conservatives.
We are pro-life.
We are against things like same-sex marriage and all the issues, all the social issues that Republicans advocate.
We also advocate.
The reason, Raj, why I think Latinos have switched over to Baracka Claus, other than all the stuff that he gives away, is the fact that I have never, I'm going to be 43 next week.
I have never seen such a dirty campaign on Univision.
See, Univision is like...
See, I think Luis has a point.
If he's right about the cultural makeup of Hispanics, why are they voting for Obama?
And the answer, Univision.
The media.
You can't take that out of this equation.
Thank you, Luis.
So Obama played his, what, 105th round of golf while they are in day 12 or 13 without power in parts of New Jersey and Long Island.
But that's okay.
That's perfectly okay because they all know that Obama cares because he went to meet with Chris Christie a couple days after the hurricane hit.
So that's okay.
Obama needs a stressful campaign.
He needs relaxation.
It's okay.
They know he cares.
They know he's working on it.
By the way, 59 Philadelphia voting divisions, Romney got zero votes.
The same thing happened in Ohio.
Cuyahoga County, which is Cleveland.
Barack Obama won more than 99% of the vote in more than 100 Ohio precincts.
Folks, third world tinhorn dictators don't get, I mean, the last guy that got this percentage of the vote was Saddam Hussein.
And the people that didn't vote for him got shot.
This just doesn't happen.
Even Hugo Chavez doesn't get 100% or 99% of the vote.
So 59 Philadelphia voting divisions, Romney gets zero votes.
And Obama got more than 99% of the vote in over 100 Ohio precincts, which primarily in the Cleveland area.
Here's Mark in Oak Park, Illinois.
Let me go back to the phones.
Great to have you here, sir.
Hello.
Rush Limbaugh, I am so nervous to talk to you today, but I just want to say that, you know, I found your show.
I was going to the University of Illinois, and I found your show in the late 80s, I believe.
And finally, I found someone that talks the language that I talk.
If a black person from one of the poorest cities in Illinois, and to think conservatively, I'm telling you, is not an easy path to have.
And this election has really upset me and depressed me in a way.
But let me just tell you, you speak a lot of truth.
And the same truth I have been trying to tell black people for years just falls on deaf ears.
You know, you talk about black people who are in the party, and they discount them totally.
You talk about Alan West, we don't care.
You talk about Thomas Sowell, we don't care.
Walter Williams, we don't care.
Michael Steele, and it goes on.
Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas.
You start talking about these people, you get labeled as an Uncle Tom, as a house slave.
And you know, it is wrong.
So one of the things I want to tell you is the conservatives have got to, we're never going to get over double percent.
We're never going to get 30% of the black vote.
It's not going to happen.
But what the conservatives can do is they can try to give a conservative answer for some of the problems that are affecting black America.
And maybe you can pull off some percentage.
But you know what?
I just want to thank you because if it wasn't for you, a lot of my thoughts would not be as clear.
And that is incredibly important for you to know.
Mark, I really appreciate it.
I can't thank you enough.
And you're right.
You're right on the money.
We spoke about it last week.
All of the achieved, accomplished minorities that serve in positions of prominence, both elected and private sector, are not role models.
They are attacked, disparaged.
Their integrity, character is destroyed within the black community.
And it's always remained a puzzle.
And I've been behind the golden EIB microphone for 25 years.
And for 25 years, I've received calls from people like you.
I think I've heard from every conservative black in the country over 25 years.
And you said it.
It's a lonely road to walk.
It's becoming that way for all conservatives.
Mark, not quite as outnumbered as you are, but the thought is now that we're outnumbered.
I actually, at the end of the day, don't think that.
But I really used to think, because of phone calls from guys like you, that it was possible to get maybe 10% or 12% of the African-American vote.
I don't think so.
Not with a black candidate, not with an African-American president, not with an African-American candidate.
It just isn't going to happen.
There's almost a cult-like aura to Obama.
I mean, look at the disaster that his first four years have been.
And people double down for him.
Now, he got 8 million fewer votes.
There was a way to beat him.
I don't want anybody to mistake me.
There was a way to beat him.
We just didn't run a campaign to beat him.
We ran a campaign of fear.
We ran a campaign afraid to tell the truth about him other than on the economy.
And we really didn't link his policies to it.
We gave him effort for trying.
We gave him credit for trying.
We just said his ideas didn't work.
We really didn't run against Obama.
We ran a campaign appealing to what we thought would be the common sense of the American people.
But the American people that vote for Obama have abandoned reason.
They're lost in maybe not messianic, but there's still that kind of appeal to Obama.
Let me read to you a paragraph here.
Kyle Smith, who's a movie critic for the New York Post, has a blog, and he wrote a piece over the weekend called The Fanita La Comedia.
And it's a piece about how we've lost the country, in his view.
And he says some things in here that are right on the money.
For example, liberalism multiplies and reinforces its own mistakes.
As liberalism's failures pile up, they will inevitably inspire more liberalism as solutions.
We've explained this on previous programs by saying government comes up with a program to fix a problem.
The program exacerbates and makes the problem worse.
People clamor for a fix.
The same people that came up with the bad problem fix the bad solution in the first place get to do it all over again.
Liberalism is a force multiplier.
It multiplies and reinforces its own mistakes.
As liberalism's failures pile up, they will inevitably inspire more liberalism as solutions.
Jason Riley, Wall Street Journal, points out: listen to this, Mark, blacks have not only suffered in absolute terms under Obama, with unemployment rising, incomes declining, they have suffered relative to whites.
The gap between white unemployment and black unemployment is actually widening.
Recognizing all of this causes the black voter not to take an interest in the mighty wealth and job-creating abilities of the free market, but to wish even more fervently for more government programs to alleviate the pain.
Today, 95% of blacks believe the federal government should provide them with a job if they are otherwise unable to secure one.
That's how it appears to Kyle Smith here.
And he bases it on an NAACP press release that he read, which is not reprinted here.
But he read an NAAC press release after the election.
He said, today, 95% of blacks, it appears, believe the federal government should provide them with a job if they are otherwise unwilling to secure one.
Calling for the federal government to serve as the employer of last resort strikes me as a pretty radical idea.
But just as yesterday's luxuries become today's necessities, yesterday's radicalism is today's progressivism is tomorrow's legislation.
So his point is, and one of the explanations for why the black vote will, it's either going to be 93 or 95% of a Democrat candidate.
And it's been that way for decades, folks.
No matter who the candidates are, there hasn't been a significant change in that electoral outcome.
And the theory is it's because liberalism is seen as the grand solution.
No matter what the problem, no matter that liberalism has caused the problem.
Understand, that's never explained.
Republicans are always the architects of the problem.
Republicans are the ones who don't care.
Republicans are the ones who are unfair.
Republicans are the ones who are racist or what.
So the left covers up its own mistakes by blaming others for them and then doubles down on the mistake by creating it all over again in the solution to the problem.
Force multiplier.
Luis, our previous caller, talked about Univision.
For four years, Univision did nothing but bash every potential Republican candidate.
It didn't matter what they thought of Obama.
The alternative was unacceptable.
And this is why, by the way, I cringe when the Republicans and these brilliant consultants at the end of every election think that we have to become more like Democrats to win, which is essentially what they're saying.
And I don't think I can ask this question too often.
It is said now that the Republicans need to move significantly toward the direction of amnesty and relaxing our views on social issues, which means a little bit more tolerance for abortion.
Maybe we don't oppose it anymore.
Just get rid of it.
Never mind the fact that over half the country, even in the exit polls, opposes it.
Doesn't matter.
It makes these Republicans and their consultants uncomfortable.
So we're going to move toward amnesty, pathway to citizenship, and we're going to relax what we say on abortion.
Does anybody really believe the Democrats will allow that to happen?
Does anybody really believe that the Democrats are going to sit by and simply let the Republicans take large chunks of their voters?
It's just not going to happen.
What's going to happen is the Republican Party is going to join forces with the Democrat Party in new policies that will result in the importation and legalization of more people who will vote Democrat.
If they actually follow through on what they're talking about, that's where this is headed.
But they might be okay with it because nobody will be saying mean things about them.
Except that's not true either.
The Democrats and the media are always going to use lies and deceit, character assassination against Republicans because in their minds it works.
Why would they stop that?
Why would they give up large numbers of their voting coalition?
Why would they do this?
They're not going to.
It's kind of like when I first started out in radio, small market radio station, it was thought that we could get everybody in town listening with different formats for different times.
For example, in the early morning, you play Sinatra and big band stuff.
When the old folks are waking up, you don't want to shock them with that rock and roll garbage.
So you play Tommy Dorsey, the big band stuff in the morning till 8 o'clock.
Then when the kids are, that's when you start the country western from 8.
You don't do the rock and roll till 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
As such, the radio station didn't stand for anything.
It had no identity.
It's trying to reach everybody.
And as it didn't know, it was a common approach, the shotgun approach, but a political party can't do that kind of thing.
But that's where the Republicans are headed.
And in the process, blaming themselves.
But no, no, no.
Not blaming themselves.
Blaming talk radio.
Blaming me.
They're not even blaming Obama for their loss.
It's stunning.
I got to take a brief time out.
A little long in this segment.
The next one's going to be real short.
You have been warned.
Don't go away.
By the way, one other thing for our next two if by tea sweepstakes, I forgot to mention, we have lowered the price of the tea for a limited time only as well.
That's a key element I neglected to mention.
In addition to our big sweepstakes prize, you get to choose where you go anywhere in the continental U.S. for three days and two nights.
Wherever you want to go, we'll send you if you're the grand prize winner.
But we've also lowered the price of the tea.
It's at 2IFBT.com.
This is Mark in Kansas City.
Mark, welcome to the EIB Network.
Hello.
Hey, Rush, thanks a lot.
Jackson County Dittos.
McCain won Jackson County in 08, but this time they took a tramping.
But Rush, if the GOP establishment would ask us to compromise our conservative values to win elections, then shouldn't it be too much to ask them to change the party affiliation from Republican to Democrat?
Well, they're not asking us to compromise our conservative values.
What they're telling us is that they're not going to do that themselves anymore.
They're basically telling us that they're not even going to make a pretense at conservatism.
We can stay out here and be all we want, but recognize we are the problem.
The Republicans finally are going to do what's smart and wise, and they're going to be like Democrats, only not quite.
Then we, the people, is no longer they represent the we the people.
Well, it's as simple as this.
It's as simple as this.
Whatever is not in the Democrat Party's best interest will not happen.
Yeah.
Voter ID.
Voter ID.
Why in the world does that not happen?
Because it is not in the interest of the Democrat Party.
And no issue will ever be resolved until it is resolved in the favor of the Democrat Party.
Yeah.
Pure and simple.
And this is the attitude of the media.
It's the attitude of the Democrats.
The Republicans are essentially saying that they're not going to mount any opposition to that anymore.
So we can be conservative all we want out here, but we better realize we're the problem.
That's how I read this.
They have all the answers.
Obama did not win a single state that has photo ID, by the way.
Do you know that?
Did not win a single state that has photo ID.
That's why we will never have a federal photo ID law because it is not in the Democrat Party's best interests.
We'll be back.
Don't go away.
Folks, I just made a gigantic mistake that I must correct.
Virginia has photo ID and Obama won Virginia.
So I probably am all wet on this business that Obama did.
Well, I know I don't know how many other states have photo ID, but he did win.
I'll check.
But that was a mistake I made.
I have to correct that.
