Okay, we're up to sound bite seven.
I'm cluing in the broadcast engineer for where we are here.
Great to have you back, folks.
Here we are in the fastest three hours in media Rush Limboss serving a humanity as usual, half my brain tied behind my back, just to make it fair.
Snerdley, did you by any chance get the address for the guy Dave in Allentown?
Yeah, but you know what?
I want to send the guy, even though he's giving away the website.
Seems like all I do is give myself away.
He's giving away the website to 71 people.
I still want to send this guy some tea.
We need to send him some two if by tea for his next website gathering with all those uh Democrats and independents.
So call him to get his shipping address, and uh we'll send him some two if by T. Here's the phone number if you want to be on the program, uh, folks 800-282-2882, the email address L Rushbow at EIB net.com, just hitting another poll exactly as predicted.
This is Reuters Ipsos.
Guess what?
Obama and Romney are now tied at 46.
In an amazing Wall Street Journal NBC tied 4747 as of yesterday.
I predicted to you back in July.
We went and looked it up at Rush Limbaugh.com.
In July, I predicted to you what would happen with the NBC Wall Street Journal poll.
Back then, they had they had Obama up by seven or eight with a plus ten Democrat sample, whatever it was.
And it was back then when I first said, and I said it many more times thereafter, that as we get closer to election day, these polls are going to change dramatically, and they will miraculously change to more closely resemble the outcome.
Because when we get down to October and two weeks prior to the election, that's when the pollsters start factoring in their credibility.
Now I know some of you asking, uh Russia, are you saying the polls are manipulated?
Look, I leave it up to you to decide.
When you when you see a poll in the current climate, current economic climate, following the 20 turn 2010 midterm elections, which were a Republican land slide across this country, except for New York and California.
When you see a Democrat sample of plus 10, you you be the judge what's going on.
So I think that one of the one of the two things that the Obama campaign, and if it's tied to polling units, has been intending to convey or to present.
And the first is the inevitability factor, the fact that they're a lock, that there's no way that Romney can win, no way Obama can lose.
However you want to look at it, that has been the fait accompli.
Attitudinally of the media and everybody on the Obama camp.
And it was done well.
I have to tell you, how many Republicans over the course of the last six months you run into thinking doesn't matter who we nominate?
This is a slam dunk.
It's over.
Obama's going to win.
All the things the Democrats have at their advantage plus incumbency, blah, blah, blah.
So that there's that.
And then as far as polling is concerned, what is the poll of polls?
Are you familiar with that term, the poll of polls?
What is the poll of polls?
It is the real clear politics daily average.
Now stick with me.
RCP, the website, real clear politics.
They have all of the major polls, and every time there's a new poll, they average all of these polls together.
So one of the ways that you can continue this perception of Obama as a lock is to have it Obama winning in the poll of polls or leading in the poll of polls.
Now, since that is an average Of all the polls.
It is crucially important that Obama be polling very high in all the individual polls to accommodate for the occasional straggler.
So you have Democrat samples of plus eight to plus ten to secure an Obama edge of plus four or plus five so that when the poll of polls does its work and averages them all out, Obama is in the lead.
That gets reported that that contributes to the whole theme, if you will, or narrative that Obama is a lock, that he can't lose.
And if you look what has happened since the first debate, is that's all out the window now.
Not only can Obama lose, he is losing.
All the momentum is with Romney.
All of the work that was done the past year and a half, two years with all of these polls and the poll of polls to keep this notion that Obama was ahead and therefore had the momentum, therefore was a lock, has been blown to smithereens now.
I'll give you I'm just gonna leave it for you to determine yourself whether or not you think that some of these polling units in choosing a plus 10 Democrat sample were trying to skew the outcome.
I will leave it for you to determine whether or not the people at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN have a vested interest in who wins the election.
I'll leave it to you to figure all that out.
We've got a debate tonight.
Oh, by the way, by the way, the the the Reuters Ipsos poll 4646, now tied, that's just hitting, by the way.
All of a sudden the race is dead close.
NBC Wall Street Journal.
Now tonight, the ABC Washington Post poll is due to hit.
They have routinely had Democrat plus nine plus ten samples.
In their most recent poll, Obama was up three with a plus nine or plus ten Democrat sample.
So let's see what the ABC Washington Post poll that'll be released tonight is.
But I'm just if if you if you look at polling in a very broad picture under a certain narrative, and that is Obama can't lose.
How do we secure that?
How do we make it appear that Obama can't lose, particularly in the poll of polls?
You gotta have Obama winning by large enough margin in every poll to average out, always leading.
But now we've reached a crucial point in time where the pollsters have to be concerned about their post-election credibility.
Nobody remembers a poll in August.
Nobody remembers a poll in April.
Nobody remembers a poll in September, but they all matter in terms of shaping public opinion, do they not?
I submit they do.
Now we're seeing that a poll or the polls cannot by themselves produce a winner and a loser.
And I've never thought they could, but they do have impact on attitude.
You know they do.
You've been affected by that.
People call here.
Oh, Rush, look at the latest poll.
Romney's still down even after.
Then you get into the internal to all the individual issues, be it the economy, health care, whatever, everybody prefers Romney, but yet there was that overall poll and they're tied or Obama's still up too.
Here are Obama's numbers from every poll released today, nationwide.
Without naming the poll, it just doesn't matter.
Here are Obama's numbers in every poll released today, nationwide 47, 45, 47, 45.
In Ohio, Obama's numbers today, polls that came out today 47, 50.
In Colorado, Obama's number today, 46.
In Iowa, Obama's number today, 48.
He is the incumbent.
He cannot get to 50% to save his life.
Anywhere.
There is nowhere today in a nationwide poll or a state poll that's come out that shows Obama with 50%.
I'm throwing California and New York out because those are not even in question.
Well, what's the old conventional wisdom?
An incumbent that can't reach 50% is in trouble.
You heard F. Chuck Todd say on Meet the Press yesterday, well, it's a 50% 47% for Obama on our poll today.
If this were a week before the election, I'd be really concerned, David.
Speaking to David Gregory.
Okay, so if next Sunday, if Obama's still at 47 or 48, will F. Chuck say that he's really concerned.
Now let's go back to the last debate.
I've also been thinking about something here.
Because tonight's debates on foreign policy.
And Obama by all rights ought to be a sitting duck tonight on Benghazi.
On foreign policy in general.
Now this this mess with Iran, don't forget what's been reported.
What's been reported about Iran is there was a leak over the weekend that we Obama had made a deal.
Unilaterally, nobody else talking.
No French, no UN, no Israel, just Obama and Iran, and a deal was struck, the Iranians would stop nuclear development in exchange for us canceling sanctions.
After that sat there for an hour or two, the regime then sent this guy Tony Veter out, or whatever his first name is, said nope, nope, nope, not true, not true.
Then after that, we learned that the discussions are ongoing, but that there's no resolution yet.
So the latest information is that Obama is talking to the Iranians about this, but with nobody else.
No French, no UN, no Brits, no Israel.
We also know, and I went back and I found it.
It was in his Cairo speech in one example, where Obama said it's not right for one nation to tell another they can't or can't have nukes.
He said that in his Cairo speech.
So many pieces of paper.
Where did I put that one?
Just don't doubt me.
We've found it from uh here it is.
Here it is.
Obama on nukes, remarks by the president, Cairo University, June 4th, 2009.
This is the White House.gov website.
I understand those who protest that some countries have weapons and others do not.
No single nation should pick and choose which nation holds nuclear weapons.
Now, in my mind, Obama ought to be a sitting duck today.
He has no second-term agenda.
We don't know what his foreign policy is because he hasn't said so.
He's a sitting duck on his ideology.
He blames America first.
Romney should go there, but be careful how he does it.
We've got this Benghazi disaster that Cheryl Atkison of CBS News, grab number seven.
This is Cheryl Atkison.
This is Saturday morning, CBS this morning.
She's their investigative reporter.
And it's uh it's a report about news that a drone aircraft was flown over the consulate in Benghazi during the attack.
Some in Congress are asking why U.S. military help from outside Libya didn't arrive as terrorists battered more than 30 Americans over the course of more than seven hours.
CBS News has been told that hours after the assault began, an unmanned predator drone was sent over the U.S. mission in Benghazi.
It and other reconnaissance aircraft apparently observed the final hours of the lengthy battle.
The State Department, White House, and Pentagon declined to say what military options were available.
Let me ask you a question.
If on the real 911 of 01.
Remember when that was ongoing, Bush ordered the scrambling of jets and predict Cheney that any of those jets that were thought to be hijacked were ordered to be shot down.
Do you remember that?
Because it's true.
That was the right thing to do.
We're in the middle of an attack.
Bush, per Cheney, ordered the scrambling of jets and that any thought to be hijacked be shot down.
As a matter of sovereignty, a U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi is no less sovereign U.S. territory than the World Trade Center.
Now, to me, it is shocking that we had a mission in such a dangerous place without adequate on site security from the Marines.
It's also sho what what possible explanation can there be for not having a contingency plan to send in forces in the very foreseeable event that there was trouble?
It's 9-11 anniversary.
Why was there not a contingency plan?
And then B, when trouble happened, what possible explanation is there for not sending in forces regardless of whether there was a contingency plan in place or not.
What do we have them for?
Why do we spend more money on defense than virtually the rest of the world combined if they're not going to be called on to protect our own people when an act of war is underway?
Why was there no response to this?
And I'll tell you why.
And I don't expect Romney to say this at the debate, but I'll tell you why.
Primarily because we didn't want to offend the Libyans.
You see, our world, the Obama worldview is the U.S. is guilty.
U.S. superpower.
We have to have our one arm behind tied behind our back at all times to make it fair for the rest of the world.
Where it's not fair that we are the world superpower.
And so these little nations like Libya we we we can't just wipe them out.
We we have to we have to be fair here.
Besides, it's our fault.
In Obama's world, it's our fault.
So we don't want to offend the Libyans, and we don't want to offend anybody else by having this show of military force, particularly when the line from the regime is that we've just made the place safe.
We got rid of Qaddafi.
We have made the world safe.
We got rid of bin Laden, we got rid of Al Qaeda.
The United States being attacked by Al Qaeda simply doesn't fly.
So we can't we can't launch a countermeasure because that would acknowledge that we're being attacked.
We can't do that.
That's why it had to be the video.
It's why it had to be some out-of-control bunch of ragtag protesters that were mad about what was going on in Cairo and mad about a video, but I'm telling you, this is an utter disaster.
And it's Obama's ideology, John Bolton's right about this, that has shaped a foreign policy which has the United States running around the world with one arm tied behind its back because that's what we have to do to make it appear fair in their world.
In Obama's worldview, it's not fair that we're a superpower.
It's not fair we have all this much more power than everybody else.
We've got to penalize it.
Plus, all this stuff we caused it anyway.
We made them mad in the first place.
It's only right that they would attack us.
I'm not kidding you.
That's how Obama looks at this.
I got to take a break.
We'll be back.
You hear what an advisor to Todd Aiken tweeted about Claire McCaskill.
Todd Aiken running for the Senate Missouri.
Guy's name is Rick Tyler, and I think he worked with Newt.
I'm not saying Rick Tyler.
If Claire McCass, this is this is this is the tweet from an aide to Todd Aiken.
If Claire McCaskell were a dog, should be a bullshit.
My question, who from the Obama team is meeting with Bob Schiefer today.
What what what what I ask who from the Obama team is meeting with?
Well, because I I think somebody from the Obama team met with Candy Crowley and reminded her.
See, if you Go back.
If you look two weeks before the debate, Candy Crowley herself knew that Obama did not call Benghazi a terror attack.
And then somebody, two weeks before the debate called her attention to the fact that he had and gave her that transcript.
I just, you know, I watched the debate, and Romney hears Obama say that he called it a terror attack, and Romney knows he didn't.
So Romney pauses and looks at Obama.
Oh, wait, wait, wait.
You are saying that you called that a terror attack.
We have that on the record, and Obama says, please proceed, Governor Romney.
Urges him to keep going on this line.
Keep going, Governor Romney.
Keep going.
Sorry.
It's okay.
Keep keep talking.
So Romney keeps making the point that Obama didn't call a terror attack, and then out of blue, Obama points Candy Crowley and says, check transcript.
Check the transcript.
And she has it.
And she holds it up, says, you know, he's right, Governor Romney.
He did use the word.
And whatever rhythm Romney had was halted or changed.
And you can't, you know, when something like that happens and you're near time limit, you know, the time limit showing.
The moderator inserts herself in a deal.
You instinctively know you can't go after the moderator.
That will not look good.
So you have to let Crowley do what she does.
I let's put it this way.
There could have been coordination a week before, as they just walked her through.
She's a reporter.
She hosts that show.
Look, he said terror attack.
If it comes up in the it came up, interesting, she had the transcript right there.
I'm just saying, what are the odds?
You don't think so?
You don't think so?
Well, I do.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back.
So happy to have you here, Rush Limbaugh behind the golden EIB microphone at the Limbaugh Institute.
Did you know that Libya has been a totally botched Romney operation?
Well, I I didn't know that either until I saw the latest Reuters story.
Oh, wait, no, wait.
Wait, you want to hear the Reuters headline?
Reuters headline after Libya misfire, pressure on Romney in foreign policy debate.
Who knew?
Who knew?
What they're talking about is when Romney went out the next day and made a statement as president criticizing what we were doing, that that was a huge gaff, like every gaff he made every day on his European trip.
Here is the lead on the Reuters story.
When President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney face off on Monday in their third and final debate, it'll be the Republican challenger's last best chance to recover from his botched Libya moment and exploit vulnerabilities in his opponent's foreign policy records.
So Obama botched Libya, and this is his last chance to fix the mess.
I kid you not.
That's Reuters.
I'm not.
You want to talk about corrupt media.
Romney botched Libya.
Really?
What Romney policy led to the death of four Americans?
What Romney policy led to lying about the cause?
What Romney policy was involved at all in Libya.
There hasn't been a Romney policy in Libya.
But Romney botched Libya.
Romney's remarks were about the reaction to the Cairo circus.
Romney's remarks were about what the embassy in Cairo did in apologizing in advance of anything happening.
Romney was not even talking about Libya.
The thrust of Romney's comments were on Cairo, and this is Reuters lying to everybody who reads them.
By the way, Suffolk University poll in Ohio, now 4747.
It is Suffolk University that's pulled out of Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.
They stopped polling there because Romney's won them all.
Same outfit in Ohio, tied 4747.
Every other poll has Obama up a uh a point or two in Ohio.
Cheryl Atkison, we just had that sound bite from her on um the the the fact that we didn't do anything militarily to respond to the terror attack.
She ends her peace this way.
Sending the military into another country can be a sensitive and delicate decision.
CBS News has been told Secretary of State Clinton did seek clearances from Libya to fly into their airspace, but the administration won't say anything further about what was said or decided.
In other words, we were waiting for permission to protect our own people and our sovereign property.
We were waiting for permission from Libya.
We didn't want to embarrass the Libyans, and we didn't want to cause any more trouble.
Folks, it is Obama who's a sitting duck on foreign policy.
And it would be so easy for Romney to deal with this if he would just look at Obama ideologically.
He doesn't do that to the extent that I do.
Uh and he is who he is, so but it would be so easy to knock Obama down tonight.
This is he's an utter disaster.
He's an absolute utter disaster and failure.
All he's got is Bin Laden's dead, and he they had to talk him into that three different times.
Anyway, here is Beth in Poughkeepsie.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Oh, hi, Russ.
It's such a pleasure to talk to you.
Thanks for taking my call.
You bet.
My pleasure.
Um I've been trying to get you since Thursday, because at that point in time you had asked who what what woman was offended by this current administration?
And I gotta say, I am so offended that I'm angry.
Um because I just let me go back and reset the table, because what was happening last last week was that the Obama campaign was running around trying to make a big deal out of the fact that Romney had asked for binders of women resumes to fill jobs when he was governor.
And that I was asking women in this audience how what does it feel like to be so routinely insulted as a monolithic, small-minded, predictable little person as the regime treats women.
So it's yeah, it's infuriating.
It it's definitely infuriating.
I mean, you know, I don't know how any woman in their right mind could vote for this this guy again.
I mean, you know, he they they talk about, you know, how how women uh should be offended by Romney because he has a binder.
Who cares?
This guy, you know, what it is he took what, a million dollars from that that bitter little man, that that comedian with the Napoleon complex, which is named Marr for his campaign.
I didn't see Romney take a million dollars.
I mean, doesn't that insult women?
Um, I I mean it's just open your eyes, you know.
Like we're supposed to think that, you know, Republicans they they're against autism and they're against fresh air, and I have an autistic sister.
Let me here.
I want to tell you and everybody else how the Obama campaign looks at women.
Every one of them.
This is how they approach women.
This is how they attempt to get their votes.
You are Beth.
Beth, you don't interrupt me here.
I want you to hear every word of it.
You are a vagina.
You use it multiple times a day, and you want somebody else to pay for the contraception so that you can use your vagina every day.
And then when the contraception fails, you want an abortion and you want somebody else to pay for that.
I'm your guy, vote Obama.
That's their appeal to women.
And their appeal is that Republicans don't like your vagina.
They don't want you using your vagina except when they want to, and then if you do get pregnant, by God, you are going to have the baby, and then you're gonna be put in jail.
Right, right, right, which is crazy.
I wish I had time to use my vagina millions of times a day, but unfortunately, due to this economy, I'm working probably fifteen hours a day, and you know, i it's it's it's just it's it's it's cra it's absolutely crazy.
That's why it's insulting.
You are that he they they treat women as the the the the the uh one dimension uh want everything free from what no responsibility in your life.
You want you want to accept no consequences for any of your actions.
Uh you want to be on welfare, uh your derelict husbands don't love you, only Obama and government does.
Uh your husband gonna take care of you, you can't take care of yourself, only government can.
I mean, that's their appeal to you.
Yes.
Plus the vagina stuff.
It is, it is.
And and you know, I want to say that, you know, as a I would think an average woman, you know, I'm single, I'm divorced, I'm taking care of three kids, I'm working my butt off, and this administration has not made it any easier.
That's um, you know, I can't afford to put gas in my car.
Right, you're a human being.
You suffer economic consequences like everybody else.
You want cheaper gasoline, you want more affordable prices.
You want an economy that's growing, you want to be able to get a raise at your job.
You want to have a choice in jobs, you'll maybe have a career.
Those are things you care about, but not to the Obama campaign.
Now women don't think that way.
Absolutely.
Well, they they yeah, I mean, you know, that's what they're thinking that we're that stupid, and we're not that stupid.
And I and I want to tell him also, you know, you th this administration makes Republicans sound like you know, they don't care about anybody and and I thought charity began at home.
Doesn't he still have a brother that lives lives in a tent?
I mean, I I I don't I just it's so hypocritical.
He reminds me of just, you know, somebody that has their father suit on as a little kid and is playing a role.
I just I don't understand why people don't wake up and smell the coffee.
I don't know about you, but you know, you drive I drive down the road and I see these bumper stickers on these cars, and I'm I'm a social worker, I'm not a violent person.
Oh, come on, you live in New York, what do you expect?
I mean come down here, you won't see it.
Move.
Oh, I want to bump them, you know, and then I end up behind them at a red light, you know, giving them the thumbs down and they're thinking I'm crazy because they're not thinking about the bumper stickers.
No, no, make 'em think you're gonna give them an anima with your car.
Yeah, yeah, that's what I feel like doing.
But it's it's just crazy.
I mean, uh you know, I would say women out there who who at this point in time, and I don't know how, but don't know how to vote, you know, the way that I look at it is a president, I mean, number one, they have to love the country.
Everything comes from that premise.
And this guy does not love our country.
This guy walks around apologizing for our country and weakening it its very foundation.
And I I just uh you know, that's number one.
I didn't agree with everything Bush did, but I felt his patriotism.
I knew he loved America.
I knew he loved what America stood for, and you know, you forgave the some mistakes that he may have made.
This guy doesn't love our country.
I don't understand how anybody that's a true American could vote for this man.
And that's that's just how I feel, Rush.
You know, uh angry.
I don't uh nothing I can add.
I think you got people standing up and cheering out there, Beth.
Thanks very much for the phone call.
We'll be back after a brief uh scene profit timeout.
And we're back, El Rush Ball here on the cutting edge of societal evolution.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
New Haven, Connecticut.
Tom High.
Great to have you on the program.
Hello.
Uh hi, Rush, how are you?
Very well, sir.
Thank you.
Uh it's a great honor to talk to you.
Um I wanted to call in and try to illustrate the effect that uh Obama and his policies are having on small businesses and try to put it in real term real terms.
Um, you know, I'm a small business owner here in Connecticut.
Um and you know, I got an email from a potential client last week and I was wondering if I could read it to you and share it with the audience.
Uh quickly.
I don't like people reading.
It's boring.
Most people tell me what the guy says.
Tell me what basically he reached out to me if he wants to expand his website, expand his business, and so we were going back and forth sharing uh e emails and phone calls, and I got this email Friday, and basically he's saying that, you know, he's interested in talking, but he wants to wait till after the election because along with all their plans on expansion, they're holding everything off and to see if Obama is reelected.
Uh because the cost of Obama care uh and the new taxes that'll be implemented as of the first are s you know, this is why this then he's not alone, by the way.
And thank you for sharing that.
I'll tell this is why if Romney wins the day after the election, you're gonna hear from the guy.
He's gonna expand.
Romney wins, you are going to see the beginnings of an economic expansion right then.
Okay, what's the drinking game tonight?
What's the one word Obama's gonna mention more than any other?
Will it be bipartisanship?
I predict it'll be bin Laden.
He'll say bin Laden five times in every sentence.
News reports said that Obama was at Camp David all weekend cramming for the debate.
How does somebody who's already so full of himself, cram, have room for anything more?
We'll find out tonight, and we'll be back here tomorrow, folks.
Thanks for being with us today.
