Time Text
Okay, so the jury now has the trial.
The Jerry Sandusky case has gone to the jury.
You know, I would love to have some people's opinions on something about this.
Sandusky's wife is totally supporting him.
She is denying everything.
She doesn't believe even the stuff that people said went on in her house in her bathroom while she's standing outside the door and listening to it.
She testified, she said that she doesn't believe any of it.
Now what is that?
Well, you can say loyal wife, you could say blind.
I don't know what is it.
I don't know.
Here's my I don't know.
If I put myself in Sandusky shoes, I I don't know a woman in the world who'd back me up.
I don't know a woman who'd back anybody up like this.
Anyway, greetings and welcome back.
It's just like, have you noticed the crease in Hillary's pantsuit?
I've always thought it's every bit as sharp as Obama's.
And yet David Brooks harped on Obama's crease in his slacks, but Hillary's is just as sharp.
Happy to have you here, folks.
800 two eight two-2882 if you want to be on the program.
Look, this independent stuff.
See, I thought we'd covered it.
But apparently some people new to the program.
Do you know there's now a third?
See, we have West Virginia people not going to Democrat Convention.
And there are two other states that have high-ranking officials who've now said that they are not going to attend the Democrat convention.
And do you know why?
Because they need to stay away from the partisan and toxic Obama.
They need the independence in their state.
This Joe Manchin, who won the Senate race, the Democrat, former governor won the Senate race in West Virginia, and the sitting governor, they want to be re-elected.
They need the independence, and they're staying away from Obama.
Now, if that's the case, why in the world would we start telling Darrell Issa, hey, pull back, Daryl, pull back, going to irritate the independents.
Democrats who want the independence are staying away from the Democrat convention.
Any Republican who buys into this trick that the media you're putting out there that the independents are going to get ticked off if we pursue Holder Obama.
And by the way, that's not all that's going to happen.
Romney's out there campaigning, and he's focusing on the economy.
The Republican Party's not devoted everything to this EP business.
We can multitask out here.
We haven't put everything aside and going after this is not about getting Obama.
It's not a getting Holder.
This is not politics.
This is folks, it may it may come surprise some people, but we really think it's wrong to run guns from Phoenix Drugs gun stores to drug cartels in Mexico, where 200 plus Mexicans get killed and a U.S. drug agent, border patrol agent.
We don't think that's right.
We think that's wrong.
And when the people behind the program start lying about it, trying to cover it up, we don't agree with that.
So I nothing's wrong with wanting to know who's responsible for it.
Nothing at all is wrong with wanting to know.
And nothing, nothing at all.
If we're gonna go after Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds, then why the hell?
Even if they'd been found guilty, big whoop.
In the big scheme of things, what does it mean?
We're talking about steroids and stuff.
Worth about the attorney general who may have lied did lie to a congressional committee at least twice.
The attorney general.
The Supreme Law Enforcement Officer of the country, if that doesn't mean anything, then nothing does.
From the weekly standard in the 39 months that President Kardashian has held office, party affiliation swung ten points against his party.
According to Rasmussen polling, at the end of the month, in which uh Kardashian took the oath of office January 2009, Democrats had an eight-point advantage in stated party affiliation.
Eleven months later, a few days after the Democrat Senate passage of Obamacare at Christmas Eve, the Democrats lead a dropped from eight points to just one and a half points.
And now it's a full ten-point swing.
And throw the independents in there as uh as well, and you have a perfectly good reason not to buy into this junk.
That Republicans pursuing their agenda will irritate the independence.
That folks, it is the Democrat Party that's the majority.
It's a de in terms of the way people vote, the way people think, liberalism represents max 30%.
They are the they are i they it's I'm sorry for stuttering.
I'm just I'm just telling you here, but I I just recoil at this assertion that conservatives need to shut up in pursuing their agenda for greatness.
American greatness and exceptionalism, because that's going to tick off the independence.
That's just absurd.
And all it is is a trick.
Trying to make us feel intimidated, the point of shutting up.
Now look, enough of this Obama business.
Romney's out there campaigning.
He's in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, today at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.
Twenty-ninth annual conference.
Romney's out there at this Latino convention.
We've got three sound bites, and I want to hear them.
Enough of this Obama business.
There is a guy out there running, his name is Romney, and he's leading in the polls.
Here's the first of our free sound bites.
Hispanics have been hit disproportionately hard.
While the national unemployment is still above eight percent, and has been for 40 straight months.
Hispanic unemployment is at 11%.
The middle class under President Obama has been crushed.
More Americans are living in poverty today than at any point in American history.
Over two million more Hispanics are living in poverty today than the day when President Obama took office.
Home values have plunged.
Our national debt is at record levels, and families are buried under higher prices for things like food and gasoline.
And yet the President said the private sector is doing fine.
Yeah, help if I turn on the microphone.
I'm still sitting here thinking about the independent.
You know, m a lot of independents are people fed up with Rhino Republicans.
This notion that the independents are a bunch of Democrats in hiding or is just it's absurd.
A lot of independents are conservatives who are fed up with the GOP establishment.
And they've left the party.
This idea that the independents are all just stealth Democrats.
Moderates, yes.
Independents, it's a different ball of wax.
The moderates, no question, they're just a bunch of liberal Democrats afraid to say so.
But they're a different ball of wax than the uh than the independents.
Here's the second Romney soundbite at the Latino convention.
Tomorrow, President Obama will speak here.
He'll probably say that even though you aren't better off today than were you four years ago, things could be worse.
He'll imply that you don't really have an alternative.
I believe he's taking your vote for granted.
I've come here today with a very simple message.
You do have an alternative.
Your vote should be respected.
And your voice is more important now than ever before.
This November, we're going to make a choice.
We can continue along the path we're on, or we can choose a better way.
And Romney could have said, I promise not to send guns to Mexican drug cartels to kill Mexican citizens.
I promise I won't do that.
I will not send any more guns to Mexico drug cartels so that Mexican citizens can remain alive.
And here is the final Romney soundbite at the Latino convention.
It is in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
That's up at uh Disney uh world.
It's up there.
Here's what he said.
After three and a half years of putting every issue from loan guarantees To his donors, to uh cash for clunkers, putting all those things before immigration.
Now the president has been seized by an overwhelming need to do what he could have done on day one, but didn't.
I think you deserve better.
Some people have asked if I will let stand the president's executive order.
The answer is that I will put in place my own long-term solution that will replace and supersede the president's temporary measure.
As president, I won't settle for stopgap measures.
I'll work with Republicans and Democrats to build a long-term solution.
And we will take a brief timeout and be back with much more right after this.
Don't go away.
Who's next?
Walter in um in uh Lamar, Texas, is that right?
Great to have you on the program.
Hi.
Hey guy, how are you?
Very good.
Thank you.
Well, back to the beginning of the program today.
Uh and Pelosi got up and made her astronaut speech.
Uh how can she have the unmitigated gall to stand up and say that Holder is protecting the Americans' right to vote when he led a black panther without prosecution stand out in front of a polling place with a club in his hand and threaten people.
I am glad that you called here.
Walter, because I want I want to go back, grab Audio Sunday 21.
I if you were not here at the beginning of the program, I want you to hear what Pelosi said.
This was uh this morning.
She had a little press briefing on Capitol Hill.
This is what Nancy Pelosi.
We need to rename a planet, Stupider, and send her to it as the governor of this planet.
Get her out of here.
This is what she said is the reason why we are pursuing Eric Holder.
It's really important to note how this is connected with some of their other decisions.
It is no accident, it is no coincidence that the Attorney General of the United States is the person responsible for making sure that vote of suppression does not happen in our country, that issues that relate to the civil liberties of the American people are upheld.
These very same people are holding him in contempt, are part of a nationwide scheme to suppress the vote.
That's right.
Eric Holder is going to make sure that people aren't cheated out of their vote, and that's why we have found him in contempt because we don't want him to be able to stop the cheating.
And Walter's point is great.
This is the guy that refused to prosecute voter fraud in Philadelphia.
The new Black Panthers attempting to intimidate voters into not vote.
Walter, that's a great catch.
I'm glad you called.
I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
It wasn't a bad night's sleep.
It was just very short.
No, okay.
Okay.
Very so I don't have any problem sleeping.
Uh I have problem waking up sometime, but I don't have any problem sleeping.
No, I was I was I was uh I had an overnight trip.
I didn't got back.
I just don't go to bed, and I've got the cat that demands attention.
I got a dogs demanded attention.
Uh you had to let the dogs out, and then the cat comes in and wants uh some attention at probably five o'clock.
And uh then the cat starts headbutting me about 7 30, wanting to be fed.
Um, I think I've just lost control of the animals.
But I love them.
Who's next?
Jim Martinsville, Indiana.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Good afternoon.
Hey.
Uh the to answer your question a while ago, the people who are going to vote for Obama this time are illegal aliens.
Okay, yeah, I asked the question what group will vote for him in greater numbers this time than did in 2008, and your answer is illegal aliens.
That's a good answer.
Well, in fact, they're getting help from the Justice Department because they're suing a Southern Indiana company of egg company, because uh they are making illegal aliens produce more documentation to prove that they're citizens.
Wait, wait, wait, hold it a minute.
I lost you here.
You s you're a Southern Indiana company.
Yes, getting sued by the Justice Department.
An egg company?
Correct.
Egg producer.
Egg producer being sued by the Justice Department.
And Why?
Because they are making illegals.
The company is making illegals produce extra documentation to prove that they're U.S. citizens.
And the Justice Department is taking a call.
Oh, that's just like what the state of Florida, where we are, is trying to purge its voting rolls of unregistered and illegal citizens.
And Holder is prosecuting Florida, is going to sue Florida.
And Holder's trying to tell Florida right, you can't get rid of illegal voters.
You can't purge because he's charging it's it's race-based, it's in it's it's uh discrimination or what have you.
The state of Florida has found.
I had somebody show me this the other day.
There's a house not far from here, actually, West Palm Beach across across the bridge.
There's a it's a shack.
I'm telling you it's a shack, and there are twelve people in that house that that are registered to vote that don't live there, and can't find them.
Uh there's no record of them.
But that that's the house they supposedly live in.
And so this is the kind of stuff that Florida is trying to fix, the Holder is trying to stop.
So you've got an egg company in Southern Indiana that's uh trying to make it more difficult for illegals to essentially break the law, and the Justice Department's coming down on the egg company.
That is correct.
And then there's a state law that says if you hire undocumented, then you're liable.
So they're getting it from both ends, from one end from the state if they hire illegal and get found out, and from the State Department if they're already in the middle of a dichotomy, which came first the chicken or the egg.
Now they got this laid on them.
That's correct.
Well, yeah, it this this is why, this is why they're fighting voter ID.
That's why what Pelosi said is just asinine.
It's stupid.
Stupid.
We're gonna want to get rid of Holder because uh And for conservatives to try to kowtow to the media and everything else.
It reminds me of what my basketball coach used to say.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Your coach coach black basketball or white basketball.
Uh this is white basketball.
White basketball, okay.
Anyway So Obama wouldn't have made the team according to his autobiography.
Right.
All right.
So anyway, uh he said on some nights you're playing an away game, and Homer is the referee, and sometimes you're playing against seven, not five.
And the sooner you figure that out, the sooner you'll be better off, not worrying about what the refs are doing.
You just play your game.
Yeah, because you can't change what the refs are doing.
It's exactly right.
Yeah.
I think that's what one thing Newt had in his favor.
He wasn't backing away from the media.
He was taking it to the media, and I think that's what uh Mitt Romney needs to do a little bit.
Well, I think he's doing it.
Uh the the GOP and Romney have got a pretty good rapid response team going.
Uh you know, Romney, I have to say, got a great crease in his pants.
And unlike Bill Clinton, Romney keeps his pants on when he's supposed to.
Okay, here's the uh here's the egg story, and the caller had it right.
It's from the Indiana Courier Journal, a Justice Department suing a southern Indiana-based egg producer to stop alleged discrimination against non-U.S.
citizens in the hiring process.
Now stop and think of that.
It's illegal to hire illegals.
It's illegal to hire.
They can shut you down for doing it.
Which Obama would do.
He loves shutting down capitalism more than he likes illegals.
The Justice Department is suing a Southern Indiana-based egg producer to stop alleged discrimination against non-U.S.
citizens in the hiring process.
They're trying to stay legal.
The complaint against Rosacre Farms Inc.
alleges that the company required non-citizens to produce more different or specific documents issued by the Department of Homeland Security to verify their eligibility for work.
There ought to be a big burden.
It's the law.
Everywhere we turn, the Justice Department is trying to shut down the identification of illegals.
To either purge them from voting rolls or to make sure they don't uh get hired illegally or what have you.
It says that federal law prohibits employers from placing additional burdens for documentation on non-citizens.
Well, how the hell are you gonna?
Anyway, DOJ is basically claiming document abuse.
They are saying that this uh egg company is asking for too much paperwork to prove that the workers they hired are eligible to work.
And never mind that the government can close a company down for hiring illegals, which as I say Obama loves to do.
He likes to do that more than he likes to protect the illegals.
This is not the first time Holder has done this.
Remember, he sued Maricopa County Community College in Arizona two years ago for the same thing.
Folks, we we we've got this this this is a this is a regime, and it is governing against the will of the people, and it is governing against the laws of this country.
There isn't any question about it.
And get this, the AP actually published this.
Their own poll, the APGFK poll, found that just a third of Americans favor the Obama health care law.
Just a third AP.
I can't believe they published the results.
Yeah.
Yeah, governments charging the people too much paper.
Yeah, I know it's ironic.
It's it's it's contradictory.
It's the government, the kings of paperwork, are charging this company with being too focused and too much paperwork.
Snerdley can't let go of it because the whole thing sounds unbelievable.
And it is unbelievable.
So my my question: if two-thirds of the American people don't like Obama's signature legislation, then why do two-thirds like him?
No, no, I'm serious.
I'm not trying to be funny or obnoxious or anything.
If two-thirds of the American people do not want his signature legislation, then how do we get polling data that shows two-thirds of the American people like the guy?
It doesn't wash, folks.
All right, to the audio sound bites, Dick Morris.
This is about whether or not ISA should be doing what he's doing, is on uh uh uh the O'Reilly factor last night.
And the host Ted Baxter said to Dick Morris, will the events today hurt Obama's re-election chances?
This morning they wouldn't have, but now they will because he's wrapped holder in executive privilege, which really means now it's his scandal and he's withholding the documents to raise this issue to this level of profile is just dumb.
Nobody in the mainstream media was paying any attention to this scandal.
Fox News was nobody else was covering it.
Now that the House Committee has held the attorney general in contempt and the whole House is gonna vote on it, everybody's gonna be covering it.
We made this point yesterday.
The drive-by's thought this was uh you know, tin foil hat kook conspiracy story.
Fast and furious is no different than the birthers.
So now here comes Obama protecting all these documents, and everybody's oh, why?
What is it going on here?
What are you what are you what are you hiding?
What's Obama hiding?
That's the question.
That's the only question.
What is Obama hiding?
And it's got to be pretty bad to do because Morris is right here.
They've now they've now turned everybody on to this when the most people probably didn't care.
Now everybody's getting curious.
So it must be pretty bad to make this calculation.
So then O'Reilly said, Well, I think that what the Obama administration is counting on is that folks are not gonna rally to it.
It's complicated, it's not gonna get involved with it.
That's the calculation that they're making.
Jimmy Carter lost re-election without any of that being said about it.
He lost re-election because he was seen as someone who messed up in over his head, inexperienced, weak, and incompetent.
And Obama is getting that image.
And the trifecta of terrible jobs data, the Supreme Court throwing out his signature initiative, and Congress holding him in contempt in a matter of ten days is not good for presidents.
I would also disagree somewhat with this is too complicated to understand.
I You can explain this very simply to people like I did yesterday.
The Obama administration facilitated crimes.
They made crimes happen.
The Obama administration saw to it that American assault weapons ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
What's complicated about that?
And of course the drug cartels did what they do.
They start shooting people.
200, 300 people dead, wounded, one a border agent.
What's hard to understand about this?
But I'm just telling you.
Morris is right.
On the radar, Fast and Furious couldn't be found.
And they made the calculation that whatever's in these documents has got to be shielded.
Because all hell would break loose if it were learned what these documents say.
Well, it must be pretty bad if the alternative is to alert everybody to it when most people were snoozing through it.
Speaking of ISA, he was on Greta Van Susterin last night.
She said, You have any reason to believe the White House was aware.
By the White House, I mean anybody that works in there.
You have any reason to believe that the White House was aware of Fast and Furious while it was still an active operation.
And secondly, are you aware of anybody, suspicious of anybody?
The White House was aware of the efforts to sort of make this a very long and dragged out investigation so far.
We've never thought that this was something directed from the White House.
We thought it was and is a failed strategy done at a local level.
This team that comprised of many agencies got its authorization and money through justice with authorization all the way to Washington.
There's no logical reason that before Brian Terry was killed that this would have come to the attention of the president.
But clearly, we're questioning whether afterwards, during this cover-up, the false statement made on February 4th of last year and the months before they finally admitted that they had been untruthful to Congress.
We do question whether or not there was communication with people, including the White House.
Issa was saying, no, we didn't think the White House had anything to do with this before, but now we do.
you Now, since he's claimed EP, yeah.
Yeah, now we do.
That February 4th letter, by the way, folks, that's that's key here.
February 4th, 2011.
The Justice Department sent a letter to ISIS committee.
A lot of people worked on it, and they denied Fast and Furious.
They denied it.
It was it was false.
The letter was false.
The agency of our government that ranks at the top in law enforcement.
Now we believe in fairness here.
So ISA is the Republican chairman of committee.
There is a ranking Democrat on the committee.
Uh ample time here too.
His name is Elijah Cummings.
He's uh high-ranking member Congressional Black Caucasians.
And he, in Washington yesterday, at a press conference to talk about the contempt vote against Eric Holder, and this is what he said.
If Mr. Boehner uh takes this to the House, he will be seen as one of the most extreme speakers that ever took charge of a House.
That's right.
If Mr. Beehner takes this to the house, he will be seen as one of the most extreme speakers that ever took charge of the House.
That's if they get throw this throw this label of extreme around.
So trying to intimidate Boehner into not taking the contempt vote to the whole House.
If Boehner takes this to the to the House, he'd be seen as one of the most extreme seekers ever took charge.
And let's go back to February 2nd of 2012, this year.
House Oversight Government Reform Committee, ISIS Committee.
Eric Holder testified.
Dan Burton, a member of the committee said there's something that's being hidden.
You don't want us to see.
There's no attempt at any kind of cover-up.
We're not going to be hiding behind any kind of privileges or anything.
February of this year.
no cover up.
We're not going to hide behind any privileges until we do.
Which we are.
And we will be back.
Back to the phones we go.
This is Judy in Clarkston, Michigan.
Welcome to the program, Judy, the Rush Limbaugh program.
Great to have you here.
Your big showbiz break.
Hello, Rush, my mentor.
Thank you.
Hi.
You know, I want to clarify to me because of the Democratic line constantly.
This program started under Bush.
This started under Bush.
And I don't really know.
So why don't you clarify to me what was going on under Bush?
That is an excellent question.
And I am here to tell you.
Thank you.
The program that started under Bush was called Wide Receiver.
It was run as the best of my knowledge.
And I'm we'll double-check this, of course.
I've looked at it a little bit, but wide receiver was run out of Tucson.
It was one-fourth the size of Fast and Furious.
And the purpose of Operation Wide Receiver was to actually track the weapons to find out where they went so that this whole thing could be stopped.
They tracked the weapons to find out where and which cartels got them and so forth.
The motivation was to find a way to stop this stuff by finding out who was involved in all of it.
Okay.
Now Fast and Furious was run out of eleven cities.
They did not track the weapons.
The purpose for Fast and Furious was to have guns flooded into Mexico, the mayhem that was created.
The news would report the latest crime, mayhem assaults, whatever, the deaths, chaos that these drug cartels commit every day.
And then the objective was that the news stories would say and American guns were used.
And the end result was supposed to be that you and me, everybody else would get outraged that American guns were so easily available to Mexican drug cartels that we would rise up in anger and demand an assault weapons man.
The Bush administration had no desire for any subterfuge.
There was no attempt here to create crime.
There was no attempt to have American weapons used en masse in crimes for the purpose of undermining American law at the time or shifting it.
The uh in in wide receiver, people were arrested.
The whole point was to catch people.
It was it was a plan that was devised ultimately to stop the trafficking.
Fast and furious increased the trafficking on purpose.
Nobody was arrested.
Hundreds of people were killed with these guns.
Border agent Brian Terry was killed.
Operation Wide Receiver was shut down after its weapons dropped off the grid, and the ATF realized that they'd made a mistake with it.
And they brought the operation to a screeching halt because they had determined it somewhere it didn't have the end result that they wanted.
Obama and Holder saw it, built on it for an entirely different purpose.
That's that's the short version of it, because we're really short on time here.
But I'm I'm glad you asked about it, and I'm gonna endeavor here to get more detail on this for all of you tomorrow, because the Democrats are trying to make claim it all started under Bush, and it's a typical Democrat lie, folks.
Far as I know, nobody was arrested in Fast and Furious.
There were arrests made in uh in wide receiver.
Well, here we are.
We're at the moment of sadness that most people in America feel at this time uh each day as the program is over.
It's an emptiness that comes over people.
It's totally understandable, but it goes away.
Because twenty-one hours from now, we will be back and revved up and ready to pick up where we left off with whatever happens between now and then.
Export Selection
