Great to have you with us, the most listened to radio talk show in America.
The most discussed, the most talked about, and the most eagerly anticipated, the most envied, the most respected, the most feared, radio talk show and host in America.
All here from the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Telephone number 800 28288 to the email address L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
All right, let me just tell you about it.
We have a new Facebook page.
And the Facebook page, Rush Babes for America.
It's at Facebook.com slash Rush Babes for America.
Let me tell you what Rush Babes for America is all about.
It's a national organization for rush babes.
Snerdley is looking at this with wide eyes like, my, is this dream come true?
Rush Babes for America, also known as the National Organization for Rush Babes, a Facebook page dedicated to the millions of conservative women who know what they believe in family, American values, and not being told by faux feminist groups how to think.
Just we've been working on the page for a while, and today is the uh is the launch.
And here's the reason.
As you know, on some, I don't forget the exact date, but sometime later this month, the Feminazis are going to be working with Media Matters for America and kicking off some giant program, some coordinated plan to have me taken off the air under the premise that women hate this program.
And that this program is an unfriendly environment for women.
That this program laughs at, impugns, makes fun of women.
Of course, the flaw in this is that the National Organization for Women thinking that they speak for women.
If there was ever a group that speaks for an almost infinitesimal minority of women, it's the Nags.
But this is all part of Obama and the Democrat Party's so-called war on women.
And I know that there are a number of you women in this audience who are fed up with hearing that Republicans want to take away your birth.
You know what I thought about doing today, Snerdly?
Uh it in in conjunction with the Rush Babes for America Facebook page.
I thought about limiting calls only to women.
You know, we used to do this in the early days.
On I know we haven't done in ages, it have been fun.
Take calls only from women who've had Republicans take away their contraception.
We would have no calls.
That's precisely the point.
And yet, the Democrats, Media Matters, Obama, the left, the nags, are on this full war on women where Republicans want to take away their contraception.
Republicans want to deny them their contraception, deny them their birth control pills, deny them their fun.
Don't want to pay for their contraption.
Whatever it is.
But I know and you know that this whole war on women thing is a joke and a distraction.
Get people not paying attention to Obama's dismal economic policies and their results.
And I have I've been tired a long time of these faux female groups, which are really nothing but groups of liberals.
National Organization for Women is not a female organization.
It's a liberal organization, disguised as a group that's interested in the rights of women.
These groups, they happen to have women or women in their name claiming to represent all women.
And in reality, they represent a tiny number of highly agitated activist types, basically miserable and unhappy women for whatever reason.
And they've turned them into liberal activists and agitators and community organizers.
So I wanted to come up with a contrast to the nags, to the now gang of just all of the women in this country and in this audience.
It's a means of contrast to start this group dedicated to the values that most women hold dear.
Family, the American values of the founding freedom and capitalism.
And most important of all, not being told by anybody else how or what to think.
The National Organization for Women and their sympaticos, like the mainstream media, want to want to project this image that all women think alike, that they're all feminists in the in the activist liberal sense, that they're monolithic, that they all think and act and do the same thing.
So what Rush Babes for America is about is posting stories and ideas that happen here on the program and occasionally elsewhere, and invite all of you to participate in conversations on Facebook with other women about what matters to you as a means of demonstrating just what a minority, the National Organization for Women and its uh so-called affiliates really are.
So you go to Facebook.com slash Rush Babes for America, and if you like the page, you're in.
That's all you gotta do.
Click on like it, and you are in.
Now here's an example of what I'm talking about.
This is a story of Michelle Malkin's new website, Twitchy.
Obama's million dollar man Bill Maher attacks Bristol Palin again.
The Bill Maher can go out and he can attack conservative women all day, and he can call them the most disgusting names.
And the National Organization for Women will not condemn him.
They will not condemn Obama for accepting a million dollar donation from Bill Maher.
See, Bill Maher's a liberal.
Bill Maher is a liberal comedian on an uh approved pop culture television network, HBO, and so he must be protected.
He must be supported.
So Bill Maher can run around and conduct his own war on women as long as it's against conservative women.
And by the way, now he's attacking Bristol Palin, and our own president has said families are off limits, but not to Bill Maher.
And where are the nags?
Don't criticize him.
A misogynist donates a million dollars to the Obama campaign, and with that million dollars has bought himself protection from the left for waging war on women.
Bill Maher wages war on women more than anybody I know.
I don't care what their political leanings are, but he's bought himself protection.
The million dollar donation to Obama means he's off limits, and not even being protected, he's amplified, supported, encouraged.
They say, Well, come on, Russia's a comedian.
He's not nearly as serious as you are, nearly the impact that you do.
The left thinks he does.
That's why they try to protect him.
What's his shtick?
His shtick is to stick it to women, cleverly targeting conservative women, knowing that that'll shield him from any criticism from the left.
So Bill Marr has attacked Bristol Palin again.
Levi Johnson having a baby named Beretta after favorite gun, Bristol will name her next child Colt 45 after what she's drinking when she gets pregnant.
Is one of Marr's tweets.
It's a harmless some say little joke, but once again, it is an attack.
Meanwhile, liberal women get their little feelings hurt when they enter the political arena and get criticized.
And they run for protection to the White House and they scream, it's not fair, it's not fair.
Meanwhile, the left, not just Bill Maher, folks, the left and these people constantly, even to this day, are trying to destroy Sarah Palin, now her family, I should say, continuing.
So examples like this will be posted at Rush Babes for America.
And you can do the same.
And I just wanted to alert you to it.
Because really the whole point of this is I remember watching once, I think it was Tom Broco, MBC, covering a National Organization for Women Convention in New Orleans.
And whatever they said in their speeches and their policy announcements, that's what was the official political position of women in America.
All women support Roe versus Wade.
All women want government to buy birth control pills.
All women want everything liberalism wants.
And yet the membership of this group has never been higher than 250 or 300,000.
And the attendance at their conventions is never high.
And yet they rep 30 of them will show up at a protest march, and there are the networks to cover it.
30 of them.
Speaking for all women.
And I happen to know the women in this audience in total number dwarf the membership of the National Organization for Women.
And yet there they are teaming up with Media Matters, a combined program designed to convince everybody I should be taken off the air.
Well, what about the women who listen to this program?
What about the women who like this program?
What about the women who believe in this program?
What about the women who agree with the political concepts, the values, the objectives as stated by your host on this pro.
What of them?
What of all of you women who seemingly don't exist to the media to the National Organization for Women?
There are many, many more of you than there are of them.
And Rush Babes for America at Facebook is where you go to be officially counted and tabulated and to make a difference.
To make a difference.com slash rush babes for America.
It's only the beginning.
I have been remiss in taking phone calls today, and I've still got a lot to try to squeeze in here today, folks.
Sit tight.
Gotta talk fast.
You'll have to listen fast.
Here is Glenda in Manhattan.
Thanks for calling.
I'm glad you waited.
Great to have you on the program.
Hi.
Hi.
It's actually Linda, but it's irrelevant.
Um I thought it was interesting that you might like to know that the CDC knows this too, that obesity in America has risen in direct inverse proportion to people quitting smoking.
And I did not know that, but it doesn't surprise me.
And they, of course, that's perfect for government interference.
Government interferes in your life to force you to quit smoking, which then creates another problem that they want to interfere in your life to uh uh to stop.
So it's never ending.
Well, don't forget the effort to quit smoking is contributing to the defunding of children's health care programs because sales tax revenue, tobacco products, is paying for child health care programs.
So they're cutting that back.
But you're right.
You know, I'll bet you um do you have any empirical evidence for this or you just I do.
I could email it to you.
It's fascinating.
So the reduction, people quitting smoking directly correlates to weight gain.
Directly correlates to weight gain.
I have seen uh there's a wonderful um uh chart that I have that I took down from the internet that goes from the 1980s through the uh mid-2000s, you know, about 2005.
Yeah.
Uh that shows that, you know, smoking was uh thirty percent and obesity was I'm making up these numbers, uh, twenty-something percent, and as smoking uh declined, obesity climbed almost in uh tandem.
And I've seen the CDC charts in the New York Times basically showing the same thing.
And sometimes researchers will say, we have to sort of be quiet about this, or it's not.
We certainly don't want to encourage anybody to smoke, but it's logical.
Well, wait a minute now.
Here's the question that we as a culture and society now must answer.
If this is empirical, directly correlated evidence, then we as a society have a question, it's a scientific answer.
Which kills more people, smoking or obesity?
Do you know?
I don't think either kills people, actually.
I mean, I think that there used to be a wonderful way to...
That is a very, very, very, very radical view that neither smoking nor obesity kills people.
I don't think so.
I mean, I think that there's plenty of proof that people who are obese can be very healthy and don't have problems.
I do understand that there is apparently a link with diabetes, but...
They say there is.
Yeah.
That's why I said apparently I don't trust anything they say.
Well, my dad always, he was the first mayor of Realville.
And my dad, you know, when all of the hysteria about smoking and lung cancer came out, I can remember him shouting to whoever was in the room, They can't prove it, son.
How come people who never smoke get lung cancer and die?
And how come some people who smoke all their lives and never get it?
How come some people get lung cancer and never smoke?
They can't prove it.
They want us to believe it.
Everybody smoking a cigarette is going to get lung cancer and never get it.
and die and they can't prove it because it doesn't happen.
So then we're left to say okay well people who smoke are they more prone to lung cancer than people who don't I think the answer to that is that it may be a risk factor but there's a big difference between a risk factor and a cause.
Well then the next question is do you know anybody who has not died of something?
No.
Well, yes, all the living people I know have not died of anything.
Yet.
But statistics indicate that they will die.
Oh, absolutely.
Absolutely.
And I just, I think that there's this great...
Do food stamps cause obesity?
Have you seen any evidence linking food stamps to obesity?
Well, Mayor Bloomberg seems to think they do, which is why he wants to, among everything else he wants to limit, what you can, what people on food stamps can spend their food stamps on?
Here's another question.
for you you seem to be really intelligent and wired that I'm gonna take advantage of you being here could you explain to me why health care spending on obese people is bad but all other government spending is wonderful and good such as on shovel ready projects or bridges or stiff why is healthcare spending on the obese bad I thought government spending was good I don't know what why is it bad?
I c I can't answer that question why do people want to shrink government when it comes to the obese isn't it that they're biased against fatties.
They just don't like fat people.
Well they certainly just don't like smokers and the what's true too that's true too.
What you see in in uh all these articles there was that guy uh uh who wanted to uh have people have a license uh uh like for tobacco to buy soda do you remember that when they were that article a couple of months ago about how sugar was poison and a toxin and that it ought to be regulated?
Yes.
Ah I mean they're just going crazy and it does have to do with uh it goes back to if government stayed out of our health care then government would stay out of our lives.
Exactly and the entree to government control of health care is the entree to control over every aspect of our lives.
Absolutely that's what this is uh is and these are a bunch of control freaks well yeah it's worse than that though.
By the way, since we're on the subject let me give you details of this apparently there's research out that says and and it happened at Missouri University Science and Technology they looked into what happens to the compounds in sunscreen when they're exposed to light and they found that zinc oxide Which is an ingredient in sunscreen undergoes a chemical reaction when it's illuminated by bright light like the sun that may release unstable molecules known as free radicals.
And those free radicals readily bond with other molecules.
In the process, they can damage cells or the DNA contained within those cells and in turn increase the risk of skin cancer.
So sun screen at the University of Missouri science and technology has now been linked.
Sunscreen has been linked to melanoma.
Who knew?
Well, it's another case, I guess, of the everybody, the health community, a term I hate community, uh getting on to something saying everybody should do this, and they're wrong.
And so I think more and more people are ignoring it's it's it is it's the latest I wish I had a list in front of me where I could just recount for people.
Saccharin was gonna kill you, then it was okay.
Then equal and all is this artificial, those were bad.
I gave you bladder cancer.
Then it turned out that the oat brand was good for you, and then oh no, it was bad for you, then it didn't matter.
Coffee was more prone to heart.
No, doesn't make you more prone to heart attack.
All of this stuff, coconut oil turns out to be one of the healthiest oils out there for human consumption, rivaling olive oil.
You'd never know it.
And it's all predicated on the fact, all of this, Linda, is all predicated on the fact that you won't die if you just follow these instructions.
That's why I asked you.
Do you know anybody who hasn't died or is not going to die?
We don't.
Everybody milk was no good for a while.
Remember, milk was poison.
White bread was poison.
Now the stuff.
It's it's just it's ridiculous.
Yeah, every day when I play golf, you ought to see all these guys that slather on all that sunscreen.
And I gotta tell them now, you know, you have been defrauded.
That stuff may be causing cancer.
They slather that stuff on, and then they put on all white head to toe, practically wear masks, just leaving their eyes available.
It was so paranoid about it.
Well, you know, it's the it's the South Florida sun, and it's uh considered to be really, really dangerous out there.
Serena in Loveland, Colorado.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hi.
Hi, Rush, thank you for taking my call in Sabrina with a B. What is it?
Serena with a B?
Sabrina.
Sabrina.
Right.
What's going on in there?
The last two names.
Yeah.
When um when Romney, when they knew Romney was going to be running, they come out with all the you hate the rich.
And I think they're afraid that Romney's going to pick Chris Christie to as his running mate.
Who is afraid?
Uh uh Democrats.
Democrats.
And so now they got a fight on the fat.
Well, uh, maybe, but this fight on obesity, this has been around long before Christie uh was even thought of as a presidential candidate and now a vice presidential candidate.
But I think I do think you have a point.
I think, for example, that if Romney were to choose Christie, who is now saying he could be talked into it after first saying he wasn't interested in it.
If he's uh chosen, and if he accepts it, you know the stories that are gonna hit, don't you?
Oh boy, Romney better be healthy, because old man, what happens if you know you you can just imagine stories that are gonna hit.
They're unavoidable.
They're they're gonna be totally unavoidable.
Well, not recently.
We haven't had fat presence in our recent history.
Uh it used to be that an ample stature was a sign of power, success, and even dominance.
In the pre-air conditioning days, I guarantee you, you go back and take a look at some of the powerful presidents Of corporations, banks, political leaders, there were a lot of them who had a wide girth.
And it was considered something, and they weren't hitting gyms.
They weren't running into Anderson Cooper every day, and they weren't running into all kinds of these people, you know, lifting weights and stuff.
That was uh she's she she may have a point here.
By the way, uh Biden, we mentioned this yesterday, Vice President Biden went on Meet the Press Sunday, and totally the story is through the administration of curveball by saying that he's totally comfortable with gay marriage.
Totally comfortable, no problem with it all.
In fact, he's a big advocate now.
Obama hasn't said that, and now they're trying to figure out did Biden just go off the reservation and go rogue, or is this a plan?
Dana Milbank in the Washington Post, Vice President Biden's gay marriage gaffe is a mess for the White House.
If Vice President Biden continues to make public appearances during the campaign, the White House press Secretary Jay Carney should be offered a membership in the janitors union for cleaning up the mess.
As things stand, the spokesman doesn't have the supplies necessary to clean up the mess that Biden made Sunday on Meet the Press.
Biden gave his full support to same-sex marriage, a position conspicuously at odds with the public stance of his boss, Barack Obama, who is widely assumed to share Biden's views, but who says his own thinking is evolving.
So here's the thing.
This is this is to be a liberal, this is what you have to, this isn't a pretzel you must turn yourself into.
When Obama says he's opposed to gay marriage, you have to trust that he's lying and lying well.
Because you have to, as a liberal, you have to believe he's really for it, but he's very smart, and he can't admit it.
So he can dance all around it, he can get close, but at the end of the day, you have to trust he's lying.
When Obama comes out during the lame duck session and says we can't sunset the Bush tax cuts because it would cause the economy to slow down.
You as a liberal have to trust he's lying about it.
He doesn't really mean it.
He just has to say it in order to stay viable for his next election and so forth.
So I've assumed Dana Bilbank with his connections with his references to Kearney.
I'm going to assume here that Biden went off the reservation.
That this was not some plan trial balloon or whatever.
Biden went off, because this whole piece is very simpatico to Kearney and the mess he has to clean up.
But the piece admits, yeah, well, Obama's all for it.
He just can't say it.
Arnie Duncan, education secretary today, he said he's for gay marriage.
They're trying that they want the left to understand Obama's for it too, but they want the left to understand that Obama can't say it and don't be critical of him for that.
But wait, I thought it was a majority position.
What's wrong with gay marriage?
I thought I might say everybody wanted it.
I thought it was so cool.
Why can't Obama come out and say he's for it?
Why not?
Well, really, it's not that popular.
Oh, it isn't?
No, it really isn't.
Well, isn't that the case in most of liberalism?
It really isn't that popular.
You just have to lie about it.
Isn't that what's really being demonstrated here?
That 99% of the Obama agenda is really not popular.
And that's why Obama can't come out and tell you what he's really for and what he's really going to do.
Because he didn't stand a chance of being re-elected if he did.
The whole notion of gay marriage is such a popular position.
It's lost in 31 out of 31 referendums.
31 states are voting on it in North Carolina today.
It's already against the law in North Carolina.
But they're going for a constitutional amendment today.
You know why?
Because they don't trust that a rogue judge will simply not enforce the law.
So they're making it part of their constitution.
Obama was scheduled to go in in North Carolina today, make a little speech on the economy.
He wanted to get in there, get it, and get out speeches.
Canceled the trip.
Didn't want to be anywhere near North Carolina today, while the vote on constitutional amendment establishing marriage as that between a man and a woman was being voted on.
He didn't want to be anywhere near North Carolina.
Didn't want any questions about it, didn't want to have to go there.
Here's David Axarod.
Here's the soundbite.
This sample, this is from last night CNN Piers Morgan tonight, said to Axelrod, you tweeted almost immediately that what the vice president said, all married couples should have the same legal rights, precisely the POTU's position, Obama's position.
Do you still think everything Biden said is consistent with the president's position on gay marriage?
I feel, Piers, that on the policy that the vice president was describing there, that they are in complete accord.
That is the president's policy.
He believes that couples, uh, heterosexual couples, uh, gay couples should have the same legal rights.
And of course, that's why uh we've stopped uh uh appealing uh the DOMA case, because uh he believes it's unconstitutional uh for states not to recognize the government not to recognize uh uh marriages that are legally recognized by the states.
So what the vice president was stating there was very much in keeping with that policy.
Well, yeah, everything Biden said, very consistent with the president's position, uh, Piers, except Obama's against gay marriage.
Publicly, that's Obama's position.
You want to hear the press, grab soundbite number eight.
The spokes kid Carney got pummeled by the press court, and this is why I'm convinced he called Dana Milbanks.
You gotta you gotta cover me here, man, because I can't.
This is too big a mess that Biden made.
So here, listen to a montage of Carney's responses to reporters' questions about Obama's policy on gay marriage.
I have no update on the president's personal views.
He said that his views on this were evolving, and I don't have an update for you on that.
The president was asked this and said that his personal views on this were evolving.
I think the president said that he was evolving.
I just don't have anything more to give to you on the issue of the president's views.
I just don't have an update for you on the president's position.
I can tell you that the president has spoken about this, and that his views have not changed, and I have no update to give you on them.
I don't have an update for you on the president's personal views.
His views on this are evolving.
He just said they were evolving.
The next time the president has a news conference, if you want to ask him that, you're certainly welcome to.
Okay.
And uh there's no further news here.
Is the views are still evolving.
I can't tell you.
I don't have any idea.
I wouldn't tell you if I knew.
I don't know what the hell he thinks.
He doesn't know what he thinks.
Neither of us have the guts to tell you the truth on this, so shut up, please.
You know, Bill Clinton is out there making robocalls in uh in support of same-sex marriage.
And I kinda I think that's funny.
I I think I think Clinton thinks that there's some sex marriage.
I think he's in favor of any sex marriage.
I think Clinton's in favor of any sex, whether there's marriage or not.
He's just out there, if somebody said, hey, we got some sex calls, we need some oh, hey, I'll do it.
Show me the script.
And try this headline from the Daily Caller.
Obama takes wide stance on gay marriage to placate voting blocks.
Yep.
Obama takes wide stance on gay marriage to placate voting.
Isn't that what got Larry Craig in trouble?
A wide stance.
Okay, well, Obama's taking one out there, wide stance on gay marriage.
Well, nothing in here about toe-tapping.
Just wide stance.
Okay, babes, remember now, Facebook.com, Rush Babes for America.
It's a special El Rushbo Facebook page for the women in this audience to have fun, to be heard, to be noted, and you have a wonderful rest of the day, and we're back in twenty one hours.
