Okay, back at it, the most jam-packed three hours in broadcasting, Rush Limbaugh, saying more in five seconds, and your average cable news shows says in a year.
Happy to have you here.
Telephone number 800-282-2882, the email address.
L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
David Plough is acting as president.
Axelrod is the policy guy, and Obama is out raising the money.
Obama is out playing golf.
Obama is out flying around the country.
Obama today, University of North Carolina, where the crowd, we should point out, according to Jessica Yellen at CNN.
The crowd is 9,000.
They're in an arena that holds 9,000 people.
Eight or four years ago, they were in an arena that was full that held 22,000.
So, Brian, math would tell us that's uh that's less than half the crowd.
That's less than half the number of people this year as opposed to four years ago.
The youths of America.
Now I want to read to you a tweet.
Have audio soundlight 41 standing by.
I want to read to you a tweet from uh Sandra Fluck.
We all know who Sandra Fluck is.
She's the um the young 30-year-old Georgetown University College student who is uh courageously and bravely fighting for contraception at Georgetown and wherever else it can be provided at no charge.
Sandra Fluck today, mere moments ago, in fact, within the last 45 minutes, Sandra Fluck tweeted the following.
Many students will see the interest rate on federal student loans increase if Congress doesn't act by July 1st.
So contraception isn't enough.
Some people want their education paid for by other people too.
What a coincidence.
Sandra Fluck tweets many students will see the interest rate on federal student loans increase if Congress doesn't act by July 1st.
What a coincidence.
Obama warned the students at UNC within moments of her tweet the following.
On July 1st, that's a little over two months from now, that rate cut expires.
And if Congress does nothing, the interest rates on those loans will double overnight.
So I'm assuming a lot of people here have federal student loans.
The interest rates will double unless Congress acts by July 1st.
It wasn't a hole, it was a smattering of applause, but it wasn't my well, I'm the one that can't hear.
Was did it sound like there was a lot of applause there?
Okay.
Here's the thing.
The reason there wasn't a lot of applause is because their parents are paying for it.
They're not paying for it.
But some of them are gonna have to pay for it.
Some of them are mounting up these student loans when they get out of school.
They're insurmountable.
We pay for the rest of their lives.
Obama runs student loan program, laying this off on Congress.
Obama took over the student loan program from private sector banks.
You young people need to know this.
Barack Obama, the federal government, run the student loan program.
And by the way, uh what is it?
Uh defaults on the student loans are at a at a rapid rate.
But if you if you hang on long enough, isn't I forget this?
After so many years, isn't the student loan just wiped off the books after?
I forget how many years it is.
Don't quote me on that.
I I might have that uh might have that wrong.
But um what would what would college costs be?
Would it cost less if illegal aliens had to pay out of state tuition rates?
There are a lot of factors in why tuition goes up.
If you young people ever noticed that price of gas goes up a dime and everybody raises hell, the price of contraception goes up and everybody really raises hell.
Uh price of milk goes up and mothers raise hell.
The price of tuition goes up and nobody raises hell except the students.
But government never gets on education for overcharging its customers.
We never hear about big education being greedy.
We never hear, we never hear tuition goes up, fine.
Cool.
That's where our buddies are.
That's where our liberal professors are.
So tuition goes up.
Here's your student loan.
But I find it very coincidental that within 30 minutes of each other, Sandra Fluck, who's by the way, being advised by Anita Dunn and Hillary Rosen.
Anita Dunn and her PR firm in Hillary Rosen are advising Sandra Fluck ever since the contraception thing five weeks ago, six now.
So she has a tweet.
Many students will see the interest rate on federal student loans increase if Congress doesn't act by July 1st.
Within minutes, Obama says the same thing.
Student loans are forgiven after 25 years.
That's what it is.
And Obama wants to reduce it to 20.
Student loans are forgiven after 25 years.
Now, in his speech at University of North Carolina, Obama said that uh the increased interest rate would mean another thousand dollars in debt a year for those with student loans.
Now, how come reducing that isn't seen as taking a thousand dollars from government?
Anytime any time taxes are lowered, that means that government's doing with less.
But now Obama wants interest rates to the government.
They run the student program cut.
This is folks, I'm telling you, this is smoke and mirror.
You want to hear the rest of what he's talking about?
I tell you, well, I I made a joke.
He's out there playing golf, he's going on Jimmy Fallon and all these other shows while Fluff is the president, Axarod's policy guy.
Here's Obama.
He dragged, he drug a band with the Dave Matthews band with him.
He had Dave Matthews.
Get this.
He had Dave Matthews, he had Jimmy Fallon, he had a couple other Stephen Colbert, and he still couldn't draw half the crowd he had four years ago.
With Dave Matthews, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, he still couldn't draw half the crowd that he did.
We have sound bites from this.
Here's the first.
Later today, I am getting together with Jimmy Fallon.
And the Dave Matthews band.
Right here on campus, we're gonna tape Jimmy's show for tonight.
So I want everybody to tune in.
Make sure it has high ratings.
President of the United States trolling for ratings on the Jimmy Fallon show.
Well, Snerdley's asking how demeaning can I don't know.
Just the President of the United States is trolling for audience and begging people to watch him on the Jimmy Fallon show with uh with the Dave Matthews band.
Now, I think this next by this is why the crowds are half the size.
Listen to this.
I don't want this to be a country where a shrinking number of Americans are doing really, really well, but a growing number of people are just struggling to get by.
That's not my idea of America.
I don't want that future for you.
I don't want that future for my daughters.
I want this forever to be a country where everybody gets a fair shot, and everybody's doing their fair share, and everybody's playing by the same set of rules.
Then get out of the way.
Sir, you're the you're the obstacle.
Your policies are the obstacle.
Get out of the way.
Um basically you have Barack Obama running against all the traditions and institutions that have defined our greatness.
Barack Obama is running against America here.
He's running against...
I don't even know how many of these kids are paying taxes.
I mean, he's making a speech here to people that this doesn't even relate to yet.
and Here's the next bite that we have for.
Michelle and I, we've been in your shoes.
Like I said, we didn't come from wealthy families.
So we, when we graduated from college and law school, we had a mountain of debt.
When we married, we got poor together.
We added up our assets and there were no assets.
And we added up our liabilities, and there were a lot of liabilities.
Check this out, all right?
I'm the president of the United States.
We only finished paying off our student loans about eight years ago.
That wasn't that long ago.
And that wasn't easy, especially because when we had Malia and Sasha, we're supposed to be saving up for their college educations.
And we're still paying off our college education.
There you go.
There you go.
Wine and moan about his student loans, don't show any leadership.
The woman who raised him was the vice president of a bank.
Barack Obama went to private schools all of his life.
The woman who raised him was the vice president of a bank.
He got into Harvard.
He got into Columbia.
He's trying to poor mouth it here.
This is a man who's never had a nine-to-five job, by the way, folks.
Anyway, uh he's losing the youth vote.
We just had the story.
The youth vote is abandoning Obama.
One in two new graduates are jobless or underemployed.
I'm telling you, you've got to trust me.
It is not cool inside the White House.
It's not going at all the way they intended.
The fundraising, it's raising a lot of money, but not nearly as much as everybody had thought.
And this is actually kind of embarrassing and pathetic to be trolling for audience at Jimmy Fallon show.
I think Colbert's there.
I think I read that.
Maybe not.
But Dave Matthews there, attracting half the crowd that he did on his own four years ago.
And now whining and moaning about his student loans.
Well, I didn't hear the bigger than life reverb there, but that it'll be back.
It's it's back.
The bigger than life, the God reverb, it shows up now and then.
You can guarantee it'll happen than to Democratic Convention.
North Carolina, there's a big sex scandal going on in uh in North Carolina, too.
And it started out small.
People thought that's no big deal, is sort of blossomed.
Well, maybe wrong word.
It it has uh it's it's expanded here.
Uh this is from the Daily Caller.
Leading North Carolina Democrat already accused of sexual harassment, now faces ex-girlfriend's HIV accusation.
Now, this is a this leading Democrat in the state of North Carolina.
Here's the story from the Daily Caller.
Rebecca Bergen, a longtime former girlfriend of former North Carolina Democrat Party exec director, Jay Parmley, told the Daily Caller she believes Parmley infected her with HIV.
She resigned on April 15th amid sex, or he resigned April 15th.
Jay Parmley did, uh, amid sexual harassment allegations from a former young male staffer.
Bergen, 29-year-old Oklahoman, has shared her story with the Daily Caller, including the revelation that Parmley's lawyer offered her health coverage, paid for by the Democrat National Committee to manage her illness, which is HIV.
She ultimately declined that offer, fearing it would constitute insurance fraud.
Parmley, she said, abandoned her a few months later.
Parmley's ex-girlfriend Rebecca Bergen told a Daily Caller that Parmley forever changed her life by making her HIV positive.
She's worried that Parmley may have done to someone else what he did to her.
Bergen told the Daily Caller she believes Parmley Preys on young adults like her.
And uh this guy named Ortega.
When Jay and I met, I was 20 and he was 32.
To me, it seems to be a pattern potentially.
The unnerving thing to me is it looks like he uses his position of authority as a Democrat to prey on younger adults.
Parmley served as national president of the young Democrats of America from 1999 to 2001 and then became exec director, chairman Oklahoma Democrat Party until 2005, and it was during that period that he and Bergen dated when she came down with HIV.
Now the local drive-by media in North Carolina missed this whole story.
The local drive-by's in North Carolina simply reported the uh uh the the sexual shenanigans.
Just uh some Democrats guy was having sex with a woman at a wedlock or some says, I don't know what it was.
That was all it was.
And then they they had accompanying stories.
Gee, we hope this really doesn't uh build and become so big that it has a negative effect on the Democrat convention here, and they just tried to sweep it under the rug.
The Chapel Hill, Raleigh local media tried to sweep it under the rug.
Well, here comes the Daily Caller with the details of what happened.
We have to read about the people the Democrats hire, such as this Parmley guy in the national press, the conservative media, the chairman of the North Carolina Democrat Party said just last week that J. Parmley was just a friendly guy.
This is no big deal, but now this female victim, and by the way, in in in feminist circles, the woman never lies, right?
Do I have that right?
Woman never lies.
If she's sexually harassed, she's sexually arrest.
But she's got HIV, and she's afraid he's out passing it on to every other people.
And this is a lead Democrat.
And this story hits today, the day Obama gets to North Carolina.
My sources on the ground in North Carolina say that the Democrat Party in that state is in big trouble.
Falling apart.
This is just one example of it.
It's why Obama's there so often.
And don't forget Dumplin, the governor.
She's done some strange stuff, and she's not running for reelection.
They've got their convention there.
This is going to be an important state in the uh in the presidential race.
Okay, quick time out here, folks.
We've got much more, as you know.
From uh Power Line blog.
This is actually the story of John Heindraker, but uh it's it's uh uh summary of a poll at the Hill.com, which confirms that the Democrats' war on women theme has backfired.
The headline here is GOP winning war on women.
More voters think Mitt Romney and the Republican Party respect women who work outside the home than think Obama and Democrats respect women who stay at home.
That's fabulous.
Republicans respect women who work more than Democrats respect women who don't.
Forty-nine percent of likely voters said that uh Romney respects women who have independent careers, 27% said he doesn't.
There are other details, but it's backfired on them.
We've only taken one phone call today.
That's not good.
So we're gonna go back to the phones.
By the way, John Boehner has just posted the following.
Student loan rates are set to double because a Democrat-controlled Congress voted to double them.
In fact, it was in 2007, an overwhelming Democrat majority controlled both houses of Congress, that they enacted legislation to double interest rates on new federal student loans from 3.4% to 6.8% in 2012.
The Democrat Congress for you young people.
Sandra Fluck tweeting today warning about interest rates doubling on July 1st.
Obama University of North Carolina warning scaring you, interest rates on student loans doubling on July 1st.
It's because a Democrat controlled Congress, House and Senate, voted to double interest rates back in 2007.
On July 1st, 2012.
A Democrat Congress voted to do it.
And that's Obama's running against the do nothing Congress.
He's running against Congress.
He wants you to think that it's this Congress that did it.
The Republicans, the Democrats did it.
And by the way, it's not even just it's Boehner just saying that.
The AP, the Associated Press, state control media noted the fact last week in the story.
It was House Democrats who cut interest rates on school loans in 2007 and included an expiration provision that placed the looming increase in the middle of an election year.
This was done on purpose.
In 2007, a Democrat controlled Congress lowered interest rates.
They were what they're going to be in July 1st.
They cut them in half.
And then that new rate expires July 1 this year, in the middle of an election year, so that the Democrats could blame the Republicans for it.
For you students, not lying about this, not making it up, don't listen to Obama, don't listen to Sandra Fluck.
They're not lying to you.
Interest rates are going to go back up, but that's because the Democrats in 2007 wrote it.
Here's Jack in Cleveland.
Jack, I'm glad you waited.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hey, I'm glad I waited too.
A lot of things to say from the great state of Ohio, uh home state of Rob Portman.
We voted down issue three, which was for Obamacare, 66%.
We voted that down back in November.
The infatuation with Obama Rush is over.
You talked about David Axelrod.
You ever hear the dangers of hubris?
Does that guy come off more arrogant than ever?
I can't stand even watching him on TV.
You said about the preamble or the Constitution, we're supposed to form a more perfect union.
Every politician should know that.
I got to get something else off my chest.
You're doing more for education by giving away free iPads.
I think that's great.
And come on, two FIT free shipping?
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
And last thing I want to say is, you know, against Obama's health care.
You got to read Rare Novarum, Pope Leo the Thirteenth.
He spoke out against socialism back there at the 1800s, late 1800s, and he said that the individual should never, the state should never be before the individual.
The individual comes first.
Obama should hear that.
The individual comes first.
The state's not going to tell us what to do.
And we're not going to have Obama telling us what to do anymore come November because he's going to be in.
He's, believe me, Obama knows the opposite of what he believes.
He rejects it.
He's been raised to think that it's the problem.
Obama was raised and educated to believe that the founding of the country was immoral and unjust, that free markets are not free, that they're only free for the people that cheat and steal from others.
That the uh see you understand that Mike McRone column did this really great.
Uh liberals looking nostalgically at the jobs of the past.
Uh you come out of high school, you immediately go get a union job, and you work on that assembly line for 30 years, then you quit.
That's that's folks, in fact, um let me illustrate this with a personal story.
My father was this way, but not for the same reason Democrats are.
Democrats are are this way because they they have a negative opinion of you.
They have they they view average people with contempt.
You're just not competent.
They have to look at you that way.
Otherwise, there's no need for them to help you.
You must be, even if you aren't, you must be treated as inept and incompetent.
And so these monotonous union jobs, hey, that's great.
That's great.
That's what America always was.
You work at them for a while, and uh then you get your pension, your benefit, you quit for the rest of your life, you're paid, and it's uh hunky dory.
And and Baron points out the dirty little secret is that people who had those jobs hated them.
They were they were redundant, they were boring, there wasn't any chance for advancement because the union rules thought of that.
You couldn't stand out, you were just a dime a dozen.
My dad had a different reason for my my the formative experience in my father's life was the Great Depression.
And then World War II.
My father was born in 1918.
And the Great Depression for people that lived through it was the most formative thing the rest of their lives, second only to the communist threat vividly made by Nikita Khrushchev of the United Nations.
I'll stick with the Great Depression.
My father was insistent that I get a college degree because that was the only way you had to avoid the Great Depression.
And education, a formal education, was the only chance you had at being hired for something meaningful.
And of course, he wanted for me and my brother something meaningful.
And I remember I started in radio when I was 16, and he didn't understand it.
It didn't make sense to him.
He didn't see what future there was in playing records to teenagers on the radio, especially as I got older.
As I were to get older, he where's this going to go?
But it was the first thing I had not quit.
I quit Boy Scouts, I quit Cub Scouts, I quit tiddlywings, I quit everything because everything bored me.
I'll except I played baseball.
But I wasn't good enough to go very far in that.
But radio, first thing in my life he'd ever seen me have total passion.
So he bit his tongue and got out of the way.
But it bugged him for the rest of his life.
Even after I started doing talk shows in Sacramento, because he still didn't understand it.
When I quit radio in 1979 and went to work for the Kansas City Royals for $12,000 a year, I quit.
I thought I'd burned out on radio.
And that's too old to really be a top 40 DJ.
So I'd given it my best shot, it didn't work.
I go to work for the Royals.
When I quit radio, I was making 32.
First job at the Kansas City Royals was 12,000 a year, and he was never happier.
You know why?
Because that was solid.
That was a corporation.
Plus it was sports, that was big.
But that if I I'll never forget it, if you play your cards right, in 20 or 30 years you'll be a vice president and you'll have a company car.
When you come out of the Great Depression, that was a big deal.
That was something to aspire to.
Now, my father was a lawyer.
That meant he was a self-employed entrepreneur, and and those were rare things even back then.
In his mind, everybody worked for somebody, and you had to thank the person that hired you every day, and you had to express gratitude to them every day, and you had to kiss their feet every day, and you whatever they wanted you to do, you did because the Great Depression, that's what you did to keep your job or get a job.
You couldn't afford to get fired, nobody could, it was horrible.
So after five years with the Royals, I was making 17.
I got a thousand dollar a year job, and I never got the car.
But I had found out that it wasn't cut out for me.
Corporate structure was way too limiting, and I went back to radio, and he considered himself a failure.
I was passing up the chance to eventually be a VP and get a company car.
I got back into radio and spoken word, news talk, controversy...
Didn't understand it.
He was also hard of hearing and couldn't hear me on the radio.
He never was able to hear me do my show.
Never.
Even until he died, he was never always had to hear about it.
The only time he was able to hear me was when I was on nightline or something, which blew him away.
He didn't think I knew enough because I had quit college.
And that's another reason he thought I was a failure.
So people of a certain age, and I think 1918, coming out of the Great Depression.
My father would not believe my life is what I'm trying to tell you.
He would not believe, even though there was no greater patriot.
There was no believer, greater believer in free markets and prosperity.
He just he would not believe it because I didn't follow the formula that was established by the Great Depression.
And he loved airplanes.
He flew P-51s in World War II in the China Burma Theater.
He flew B-25s and B-17s, and he taught other, he was in the Army Air Force, he taught others to fly them.
He just loved that stuff.
He would not believe my life.
He would not believe it possible.
Not because the country wouldn't make it possible, but because of the route that I took.
Now, the way this correlates with the Democrats is that the Democrats look at people and see hopelessness because the country is unjust.
My father never thought that.
My father thought I was not meeting my potential by not going to college, by not hanging in there for 30 years at the baseball team and getting a company car to vice presidency.
That to him was nirvana.
The Democrats look at these union jobs as Michael Barone points out as nirvana.
Because that's all you're capable of in this country.
Because the real successful people are stealing it all from everybody else in their cheese.
So that's why we've got to give you a job that's going to pay you a pension on your health care for the rest of your life, because the rich are going to deny it to you otherwise.
So there is this contempt for people that the Democrats have and a lack of confidence and a lack of faith.
We, of course, are the exact opposite.
My father never doubted the country and the way it was founded and the abilities that people had if they wanted to exercise.
He just thought I wasn't taking advantage of the opportunities the country provided.
Just didn't understand radio.
He didn't understand the passion I understood the passion for it, but he he grew to regret it, because he thought I would burn out of that and eventually grow up and become a vice president with a company car.
But the the the whole point here is that Barack Obama has been raised to believe that this country does not provide opportunity for everybody, that the game's rigged by the rich, starting with the founders.
And the only way to make it fair is to make sure that people do get lifetime health care and pensions without having to work.
Or only after 30 years of work.
And that's their nirvana, and that's that's the past that they're trying to recreate.
And that's what's frustrating for all of us is because we see the potential of country, and we see the potential of the people who live here if they're just turned loose.
But the Democrats don't see that in your future.
And they don't want, they want you to have these menial stuff where you need them.
That's the whole point of the way they derive their power.
So my father in one way saw things the way Obama did, but but specifically in my case, only because I wasn't taking advantage of the greatness of the country, he thought.
And I was not listening to his great advice, which he took personally by not following the formula.
Obama and the Democrats think the country is what stands in your way.
And that's our problem, folks.
The country does not stand in your way.
Ironically, what's standing in your way is Obama and the Democrats.
You get them out of office, get them out of the way.
Uh and and let the private sector where greatness, creativity, genius, and entrepreneurism exist, and we're back.
That ain't gonna happen with these people running the show.
So you have Obama begging For attention and votes with college students, promising to save them from loans that he controls.
Because there aren't any jobs thanks to Obama's policies.
Obama does not give speech to adults, folks, and there is a reason adults aren't as easily impressed with celebrity as youngsters are.
