Time Text
There it is right there on Fox.
Performance of administration's top lawyer called into question.
How?
He went to Columbia.
He was a leader.
He's a Columbia law review.
How can he, how could he not perform well?
He's one of the best and brightest.
Hi, folks.
How are you?
Rush Limbaugh.
We're back.
This is the cutting edge of societal evolution.
Rush Limbaugh having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
Telephone number, if you want to join us, is 800-282-2882.
The email address, illrushbo at eibnet.com.
Bobby Rush went to the floor of the House today as a congressman from Illinois, Chicago.
He went to the floor of the House today dressed in a hoodie to show solidarity with Trayvon Martin and with the Civil Rights Coalition's case, Trayvon Martin situation.
Now, there's a dress code in the House that does not include hoodies.
And he was chastised and stopped from speaking.
He was cut off for breaking the House dress code.
And here's how it sounded.
Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum.
The Bible teaches us, Mr. Speaker, in the month of Michael 660.
The member will suspend.
These words.
The member will suspect.
These words.
He has shown you, oh man, the member will be able to do it.
What does the boy require of you?
But to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
May God bless Trayvon Martin, the member is no longer recognized.
The chair will ask the sergeant-at-arms to enforce the prohibition on decor.
He showed up wearing a hoodie.
Well, he got what he wanted.
He got all the attention.
And then trying to make case.
Now, the hoodie is a fascist statement.
Now, Bobby Rush is a former Black Panther.
You should know that.
He's a former Black Panther.
So let's now go to soundbite number 20.
I'm sorry, number 17.
Jay Christian Adams appeared on Fox and Friends today with Brian Kilmead.
Jay Christian Adams worked in the Obama Justice Department.
He was handling the case against the new Black Panther Party for voter intimidation of Philadelphia when Eric Holder basically shut down the case.
And Jay Christian Adams, and this is really the Cliff Notes version of this, he resigned and wrote a book and explained what was going on.
And he basically said that the Obama Justice Department had determined they were not going to pursue black defendants.
Just weren't going to do it.
It was payback time now.
No black defendant.
They just dropped the case.
And Jay Christian Adams was handling the case, and they had plenty of evidence.
They could have gotten a conviction, he thought.
So he's now an expert on these matters.
We've interviewed him for the Limbaugh Letter.
He was on Fox this morning, Fox and Friends with Kilmead, who said, by the way, his book, Jay Christian Adams' book is Injustice, Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.
They're talking about the new Black Panther Party bounty for the capture of George Zimmerman.
Kilmead said, you investigated the Black Panthers for what they were doing in 2008.
That went nowhere.
Why is this one seemingly, this group here, why did this case with the new Black Panthers?
Now, why is this one going nowhere?
Or why is it slow off the mark?
It's because the new Black Panthers think they're above the law.
What would have given them that idea?
I mean, we all know the answer.
The answer is Eric Holder.
Look, we live in a country where lawless mobs don't offer bounties on citizens' heads to be captured.
We don't live in that country, but these guys think we do.
You cannot solicit kidnapping in the state of Florida.
It's a felony in Florida.
It's a felony to travel across interstate lines to solicit kidnapping.
So here we have the new Black Panthers once again, probably committing crimes and going completely unpunished.
Unpunished.
If I may interject, they're not even being pursued.
They haven't been charged.
We haven't gotten to the punishment stage.
Nobody's even condemning this.
Certainly Holder isn't from the Justice Department, nor is Obama.
But I would say that, with all due respect, Jay Christian Adams is mistaken.
We do live in a nation where this is happening.
He said, we don't live in that country.
We do.
He said, we don't live in a country where lawless mobs offer bounties on citizens.
Yeah, we do.
In fact, I happen to live in the state where it's happening.
Disney World is not far from where this is happening.
So I must respectfully disagree.
We do live in a country where lawless mobs can issue.
Certain lawless mobs can.
Kill Mead said, Well, besides Eric Holder, is there fear of inflaming race relations if you crack down on people who want to inflame race relations like the Black Panther Party?
a fear among some, but there's no fear among people like Al Sharpton.
Even the president has inserted himself in a racial way, saying that Trayvon looks like he might be...
Do you think wrongly?
Absolutely wrongly.
No president in our country's history would have injected himself into a criminal matter using racial code like Barack Obama did.
This is a brave guy, folks.
Jay Christian Adams is a brave man to be saying this.
A former member of the Obama Justice Department.
Very courageous and brave.
This is not going to sit well with the forces of tyranny.
You know, the lot of people are maybe a little surprised I'm using the word tyranny to describe what's happening in the country.
I think it fits.
I think it's apt.
It's perfectly descriptive.
One of the reasons that a friend of mine made a point to me in an email last night.
I thought it was great.
One of the reasons that the left in this country, stop and think about this, the reason they're so tyrannical, tyrants never have to explain anything.
They don't have to explain why they're doing anything.
Your earliest encounter with tyrants was your parents.
And your parents didn't have to tell you why anything.
They just because I said so.
Now, it's not considered tyranny, parent to child.
It's considered child-rearing.
Most parents are trying to protect their kids, doing the wrong thing, teaching them to do the right thing.
And sometimes parents don't know what to say.
Why, why, because I say so.
But when you get into adult to adult, government to citizen, then I have to explain.
Tyrants never have to explain anything.
They just issue the tyranny.
And if you fight back and demand an explanation, makes it worse.
You're never going to get one because they don't have to.
And here's Jay Christian Adams taking it right to them.
No president in our history would have injected himself into a criminal matter using racial code like Obama did.
Everybody thinks that, but Jay Christian Adams, one of the few to say it, Kill Mead finally said, in terms of this case, isn't it pretty clear, especially from a guy in your situation, there's much more that we'll all have to learn about this case?
No question.
That's what the process of law is.
That's why what the Black Panthers did is so bad, is because we have a system to analyze complicated facts like this.
It's not a lynch mob.
It's not a posse of lawless thugs.
You can't solicit kidnapping under Florida law.
So where's the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on this?
Where's the Attorney General of Florida?
Where are they?
Something needs to be done.
They're scared.
They'll be called racists.
They're afraid.
I'll tell you what the attitude is.
Let this play out and it'll go away.
That's what the attitude is.
The attitude is: if we try to enforce the law here, it's just going to inflame these already high tensions.
Let's back off.
Let's not make it any worse than it is.
It'll go away.
Problem with that, once you stop the pursuit of criminals, you have empowered them.
Once you stop asserting your morality and the primacy of your law, sends a message to people who want to break it.
Really is.
You know, speaking of tyranny, people continually ask me what we're doing here.
How are things going with this so-called boycott?
People understand now it's not a boycott.
This advertiser thing that is happening is not really a boycott.
It is Mark Stevens, a New York advertiser in this program in New York, calls it terrorism.
He's made the point abundantly clear that these are not angry consumers that are harassing him as an advertiser or radio stations.
They're Democrat Party operatives or people who are related to Democrat Party operatives.
So what has happened?
The forces of good here have set up a website because really what's at stake is small business.
Those are the people that are being terrorized by Democrat Party operatives with fake, spammed phone calls and emails that are filled with threats, by the way.
You should hear Mark Stevens talk about the threats the women in his office are getting when they pick up and answer the phone, simply because he advertises on this program in New York.
So a new website has been created supporting small business, all those small businesses who are being damaged by the intimidation and the censorship campaign that's being waged against them as advertisers.
The website is defendsmallbusiness.com, and it has been organized to let your voice be heard productively in the fight against this kind of intimidation and censorship that's taking place in what was a free country.
And also, it's doing it away in a way that doesn't sink to the level of the opposition, doesn't get down in the gutter with them.
When you go to defendsmallbusiness.com, you can sign a petition.
You can contact members at Congress.
You can voice your support for free speech and free enterprise and for small business.
You can voice your opposition to the intimidation tactics of people like Media Matters and their ilk of self-appointed censors, which is what they are.
Now, this website, I don't have anything to do with the website.
It's not mine.
I just want to tell you about it.
Sponsored and hosted by the Small Business Authority.
It's their website.
These are people who want to advertise on radio programs like mine because it works.
It helps their business.
And they like having relationships with you, their customers.
And they are being threatened.
And the people threatening them are frauds and fakes.
They are not genuine customers.
But they're threatening to shut down the business, making it impossible to conduct business.
It's pure censorship.
And it is not based in anything other than a political effort, if you will.
It's a political objective.
The name of the website is defendsmallbusiness.com.
You ought to check it out because it's no sweat off your back.
And it's an effort by small business defend this off.
Everybody asks, well, what are you doing about it?
I want to ask, what are you doing?
Well, this is what some people have decided to do.
I actually think this kind of thing has been going on since long before this program hit, but it's been intense since this program started and since we hit the level of popularity, this program has been a target and advertisers have been a target like this, but it's never been this focused because they can smell blood in the water.
And this is the first time that small business has not cowered.
Honest to God, folks, I've been 23 plus years.
This is the first time small business has not cowered and caved and gone away and thought if they just shut up, it'll go away.
Because you know what?
They've realized it won't go away.
The next show will just be the next target, the next host or what have you.
And in the meantime, they're not going to be able to advertise their business.
And they know that it works and they want to do that.
So small business people have set this up to try to defend themselves.
It specifically identifies media matters for being the instigator of all this, if not the instigator of a lot of what the small businesses are experiencing.
And this is an effort to empower as many people to go out and approach this the way Mark Stevens is in New York and help clarify for others where this noise is coming from, that it is not legitimate.
It's not genuine.
It's not angry customers.
We haven't lost any audience in this program.
The audience is larger than it's ever been.
The people who have been hurt on this program are the advertisers who left.
They've been creamed.
But nevertheless, the pressure is being brought to bear on those that remain and the new ones that come on board.
So again, the website to see what they're trying to do to fight this and stave it off is defendsmallbusiness.com.
I got to take a break.
We'll be back and continue after this.
Don't go away.
And we are back and back to the phones.
So we go Winston, Salem, North Carolina.
Hi, Josh.
Great to have you with us.
Hello.
Rush, it's an honor to speak to you.
I understand I'm under limited time.
I want to speak upon the Zimmerman case and the less reaction to jump out of the gate.
And you made a comment that they wish that, well, not so much as wish, but that just let it blow away.
But you know what, Rush Daddy?
That's exactly what happens.
They did it up in North when they called the Camden Police Bombing.
They acted stupidly.
They did it in Raleigh when they slandered those four guys for allegedly victimizing that female.
And when they found out, wait, wait, wait, wait.
That's the Duke.
The Duke LaCrosse case you're talking about, the four guys in Raleigh?
Yes, sir.
Yeah, Duke La Crosse case.
Okay.
They went running.
Al Sharpton and Reverend JC Jackson.
They went running with their tails between their legs.
Nobody, nobody gave the due respect to those four guys after it was absolutely proven that that woman was an ultimate lie, you know, absolutely lied.
And how they can show their face now in this situation, you're right.
It does just go away, and that's disgrace.
And now they rush to judgment with the Zimmerman case.
Look, everybody's lost sight, not everybody, but a majority of the public listening to the left-wing media just focuses on a fact, on what they, you know, the points that they make, which are unfounded facts.
And then what did they do?
The truth is coming out, and now you don't hear so much about it as much.
And then when you do, they come up with more lies to try to support their side of it.
And the Black Panthers, to turn around and say that they don't follow the law, they're not under the, and it was quoted on the Glenn Beck show this morning, the one Black Panther said, we don't follow the white man's law.
And they got a bounty.
And now the other guy, Spike Lee, whatever his name is, has got that elderly couple on the run and hiding because he gave out the wrong address.
That's right.
And nobody is saying a thing.
Nobody is trying to stop it.
Nobody is even condemning it.
Oh, they're reporting the poor elderly couple has run for the hills, but they're not condemning it when they report it.
I know.
But the question was asked, why doesn't Jay Christian Adams on The Sound by Josh asked, why doesn't Florida, it's Florida law that's being broken here too.
There are Florida felonies that are being committed here.
Why don't they do something?
And my answer is there's fear.
In a highly charged situation like this, where the victim is a dead 17-year-old, to go after the Black Panther feeds, it is thought, Sharpton and Jackson.
And so the theory, just let it blow over.
And then they cross their fingers and they hope that nothing really comes of this bounty.
They hope that nobody really starts tearing down houses where they're told that George Zimmerman's hiding out.
And they're hoping that the new Black Panther Party doesn't really mean it.
And, okay, so the elderly couple had to flee, but they're safe.
It's okay.
So the attitude is, let's just let it run its course and it'll all die down.
And in the meantime, we'll try to get the facts out about what happened with Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.
And we'll put it to bed in due course.
But just let it all play out.
Nobody wants to exacerbate tensions.
And the people that have done that are high-ranking Democrats.
You know, I get surprised all the time about things I think everybody understands.
And it's probably good that I get surprised.
I just said in talking about this small business website, the name of which is defendsmallbusiness.com, I mentioned when talking about it that the only advertisers here who have been harmed are those who have canceled advertising.
Now, to me, that makes perfect sense.
I checked the email during the break, and a lot of people, is that right?
We thought you were being harmed.
Folks, the ones who've left here have already been replaced.
You just don't know it yet.
We're fine here.
The people who have been harmed is not me.
The people being hunted, these small markets, these average-sized markets, and these small businesses that these thugs and the censors are intimidating.
That's what the website is all about, defendsmallbusiness.com.
But the advertisers who've really been hurt are the ones who've abandoned here.
I just assume everybody understood.
Let me tell you, we get 22 million people here who have stopped patronizing these people.
Stop it's major in many instances.
The harm that has been by those people leaving.
Look, I'm not going to get into details because I frankly am uncomfortable with the whole notion of advertising being harmed anyway.
The whole point of it is to work.
The whole point of it is to be, and it was, it always has been here.
It's the reason there are such a long list of people who want to be on the program.
But the ones that left, this is a very sophisticated audience.
They go out there and make it public that they're leaving because of some trumped-up phony issue.
They hear about it in the form of cancellations, which doesn't really make me comfortable, but it's a free market.
So those people have been hurt.
They hurt themselves.
The advertisers have hung around, have not been harmed.
Their businesses are still thriving.
And I'll tell you something.
These so-called angry consumers are not patronizing any of these sponsors.
They're just calling and threatening them.
These so-called angry consumers who are not angry consumers, they're just Democrat Party operatives or people sympathetic to the Democrat Party.
They're just calling and harassing and threatening.
They're not buying anything from these sponsors.
That's one of the whole points of DefendsSmallBusiness.com.
These people, these businesses are being hurt and shut down by Democrat Party operatives.
And what is really truly remarkable, 23 plus years for me, and this is the first time, and this has gone on, it's since long before I started this program, no buy lists have been common in broadcasting or all kinds of controversial programming.
Why do you think Stern had to go to satellite for crying out loud?
Point is this is the first time that businesses have fought back.
And that's why this website's not about me, Defends, even though I'm a small business, but DefendsmallBusiness.com is not about me.
You won't see my name there.
These people are finally standing up for themselves.
It is fabulous.
It's never happened before.
Now, while we're on the subject of New Black Panthers, I told you yesterday about the former NAACP leader from Garland, Texas, conservative by the name of C.L. Bryant.
And he, we had the story yesterday, it was two days ago, that he publicly was very critical of the Reverend Jack and Al Sharp.
Accused them of exploiting the Trayvon Martin case.
And by the way, our caller, Josh, had a good point.
Have you seen much on the Trayvon Martin case lately compared to what it was earlier in the week?
It must not be going the way they wanted it to go because it's kind of, I know the Supreme Court oral arguments came along and maybe it took precedence, but still.
Anyway, Mr. Bryant, the Reverend Bryant, the NAACP, appeared last night on CNN with Erin Burnett on her program Out Front, and he appeared with Roland Martin, African-American host of Washington Watch on TV1.
And I think he's a commentator at CNN as well.
These two guys are on.
And Reverend Bryant buried Roland Martin.
And I want you to hear of the sound bites.
We have three of them.
Aaron Burnett said, Reverend Bryant, you have made the comment that Reverend Sharpton and Reverend Jackson, both of whom now are involved in this situation, are, quote, exploiting the tragedy.
What do you mean?
Whenever there's something like this that occurs, like Tawana Bradley or the Duke La Crosse team, you can guarantee you that two faces will show up in order to heighten the tension in this type of situation.
And they're usually Reverend Sharpton and Reverend Jackson.
Our hearts do go out to this mother because she's lost a son who is 17 years old.
That, though, is an issue that I do believe justice will find its way to remedy.
Okay, so after Bryant says that Sharpton and Jackson have heightened the tension, Roland Martin steps in to say this.
I say, as a pastor, where are you?
See, I get pastors who differ.
I know that the Apostle Paul differed with the disciple Peter, but where have you been?
Are you leading marches?
Are you leading rallies?
Are you stepping up?
So you see, the definition of an authentic African-American is leading marches, leading the rallies.
Are you stepping up?
So Roland Martin says to C.L. Bryant, where have you been, buddy?
Haven't seen you out on the march.
Haven't seen you out at the rallies.
Where have you been?
And so Reverend Bryant responds.
Your question is, what dues have I paid?
I've had the Klan and the Skinheads after me.
That's not what I was school busing 20-some years ago.
Just this past month here where I live in Shreport, in Louisiana, the skinheads and the Aryan nation was trying to move into our area.
I, along with other pastors, have in fact done that.
What we're doing, what we are doing is, in fact, trying to deal with a powder keg here that we need to keep this the top on.
That's what we're trying to do.
Aaron Roland Martin wants some help there from Aaron Burnett.
Roland Martin wanted Aaron to stop the Reverend C.L. Bryant, but he was challenged on his credentials and on his authenticity.
So he came back.
Okay, fine.
Well, I've got the Klan.
I got skinheads after me here.
We've got Aryan Nation running around trying to move into our area.
But apparently, that's not good enough.
And from theexaminer.com, new Black Panther leader Malik Shabazz threatens to burn Detroit down.
Angry over steps being taken due to a financial emergency in Detroit, new Black Panther Party leader Malik Shabazz declared that he would burn the city down.
This is white on black crime, he said during public comments at the two-hour meeting held on Monday afternoon.
This is white supremacy.
Before you can take over our city, we will burn it down.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Malik Shabazz was one of about 100 angry, defiant Detroiters who attended the meeting.
The Detroit Free Press reported the following.
Detroit's financial review team this afternoon declared that the city is under a financial emergency and no consent agreement between the city and the state's been adopted.
A move that forces Governor Rick Snyder to appoint an emergency manager within the next 10 days under state law.
State officials, however, are hopeful that an agreement can be reached before an emergency manager is named.
Some locals see the move as a hostile takeover of a predominantly black city, said the Detroit Free Press.
The local newspaper said that some locals see the move to appoint a new manager to handle the financial situation in Detroit, a hostile takeover of a predominantly black city.
That makes sense to me.
The city of Detroit has been run by black Democrats for a long time.
And new Black Panther leader Malik Shabazz has threatened to burn it down.
And he's black.
He's threatened to burn it down if the manager appointed here by the governor to take over the finances of the city doesn't meet with his approval.
Detroit's in a shambles as it is.
What are the stories we've had that the houses have been bulldozed, neighborhoods have, or the houses have been abandoned and so forth?
At the end of the story, the last line of the story, Dawn, you'll like this.
Last December, talk show host Rush Limbaugh offered his advice for fixing Detroit, quote, get rid of every liberal in government, unquote.
I did offer that advice last December, and I stand by it.
If you want to fix Detroit, get rid of the liberals.
Wherever they run the show, take a look.
Wherever they run the show, wherever liberals are in charge unchecked with no opposition, I don't care what their skin color is.
It doesn't matter.
And liberalism doesn't know race or any of that.
You take a look at any city dominated by liberalism for a long period of time, unchecked, and you will see major problems.
We'll be back after this.
Okay, so let's put this in perspective.
An unhinged nut goes crazy with a gun in Tucson, Arizona, and wounds a member of Congress.
And for months after, we get preached to by President Obama Democrats that Sarah Paylor-Rush Limbaugh, some need to clean up their language.
Even though it was learned that that deranged lunatic in Arizona and even Arizona didn't even listen to talk radio.
Then we had an avowed, acknowledged Obama fan threatened to kill Joe Arpaio.
We got crickets.
Now we got Malik Shabazz threatening to burn down Detroit and we got crickets.
And the new Black Panther Party with a bounty on George Zimmerman in Florida, we get crickets.
But this Malik Shabazz thing, his reaction, folks, it's a precursor.
It's Greece.
What Malik Shabazz is saying in Detroit, you put somebody in charge here who's going to start cutting the budget.
You put somebody in here who's going to cut payments to unions.
You put somebody in here who's going to cut benefit payments.
We're going to burn the city down.
That is exactly the kind of reaction the Democrats want.
Isn't that how they intend to counter any Republican demands for budget cuts or fiscal responsibilities?
Imagine Romney or Santorum be elected president.
We get the Republicans take over to Congress, start cutting the budget.
Here come the threats.
Isn't this exactly what's going to happen?
This is the signal.
So Malik Shabazz says, we'll burn down Detroit.
If you implement any kind of a financial austerity plan here, we'll burn down the city.
It's a precursor.
His reaction is exactly what the Democrats want.
That's what Occupy Wall Street is.
You better not start cutting our freebies.
You do that, and we're going to start defecating on your cars and whatever else they did.
Worse, of course.
Who's next?
Spencer in Los Angeles.
Great to have you on the EIB network, sir.
Hello.
Hi there, Rush.
I just want to call in and let you know that I've first-hand experienced the indoctrination you talk about at universities.
And it's crazy because you can't really step up and voice your opinion back to them or else you will be kind of singled out.
And until you bend to their ways, they don't want to hear anything besides what they teach.
Because you'll get grade penalized.
And this is tyranny.
They don't have to explain themselves.
You're just supposed to conform.
That's right.
And I was in an international relations program, very good international relations program.
And it blew my mind how, you know, single-sided a lot of these discussions were.
And what's really funny is you talk about all we talk about is international institutions and strengthening state-to-state, you know, as countries, bonds and all this stuff.
And basically, it would be talking about Europe and the Euro.
And that was all we were talking about three years ago when it was flying high.
And now, you know, you see Greece, you see Portugal, Spain, all these places falling apart.
It's all this.
Yeah, and what are they teaching you?
They're teaching you how dangerous conservatism is, right?
Well, what they're teaching you is if you believe in the status quo, if you believe in, you know, doing things the way things have been done, you're a bad person.
And the truth is, things are done the way they are because they work.
And all of these different radical types of.
That's exactly right.
We use oil because it works.
We don't use solar because it doesn't work.
And I mean, that's all I really wanted to say, Rush.
You know, I have a lot of very, very happy that you do what you do, and you have a lot of support.
Well, I appreciate it.
You are.
When did you graduate, Spencer?
Two years ago.
So, yeah, what are you doing now?
I started my own business.
In international relations?
No, I actually build software.
Good for you.
You write applications for computers and programs and stuff?
Yes, specifically mobile phones.
And it's actually funny for universities.
You know what?
I'll tell you what I'm going to say.
Hey, you know, would you like to have one of these new iPads?
I've got a Rush Limboss signature EIB engraved iPad, 64 gigs with LTE.
You want one?
Absolutely.
I mean, you can write apps for it.
You can test it out.
All right.
And I'm going to put you on hold, and somebody's going to let your name and address where we send it.
Do you want ATT or Verizon?
ATT, please.
Okay.
We have it in black, so that'll have to do.
But we'll get you one ASAP.
Just don't hang up.
So our nice call screener, Mr. Snerdley Jr., get your shipping address, FedEx address, okay?
Thank you, Rush.
You bet, Spencer.
We've got to take a break here, folks.
They'll be right back.
Don't go away.
Hey, it might be useful to remember that Spike Lee hosted President Obama in a fundraiser back in January.
$1.6 million was raised at Spike Lee's house.
The same guy who tweeted the address where he thought George Zimmerman was, so the new Black Panther Party posse could go out and get that's the kind of people raising money for Obama.
Of course, Obama not giving the money back.
