Time Text
Hey folks, greetings.
How are you?
Great to have you back, Rush Limboy having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
I am doing what I was born to do.
Such an amazing thing of good fortune.
How blessed.
I wish everybody could find what it is they were born to do and then do it.
Anyway, we're here serving humanity simply by being here, just by showing up.
Telephone number if you want to be on the program, and we will get to your calls.
Is 800 282882 and the email address Lrushbo at EIB net.com.
Everything that George W. Bush proposed in terms of spending Barack Obama voted for.
Obama voted for everything that came before him, every spending increase.
As a senator, he voted for it.
There were 14.3 million fewer Americans on food stamps than there are today.
The record of economic damage and destruction in this country is owing to one man, Barack Obama.
Are we ever, ever going to hear that anything is Obama's fault?
No, in fact, what are we hearing?
In fact, all of this is the Republican Congress's fault.
Obama's running against a do-nothing Congress.
He just submits a budget, a bankrupting budget that is indefensible.
It's a campaign document.
That's why it can't be defended.
And that was made perfectly clear on C SPAN this morning as the budget director was made a fool of by Scott Garrett, Republican New Jersey.
The reason Obama's budget is difficult to defend is because the regime's spending on donors and unions is destroying the country.
Another, another solar firm goes bankrupt.
And up next, wind companies bankrolled by Obama will go bankrupt.
Every green energy endeavor is a total debacle.
Bankrupt, bailed out.
None of this is traceable to George W. Bush.
So Obama's calculation is class warfare politics.
It is clear what they're doing.
I had somebody say to me, sort of repeated what I said yesterday.
Rush, it's clear.
It's now clear.
The administration, Obama clearly thinks that they can run as socialists and win election.
They don't have to mask it anymore.
As liberals, they don't have to pretend that they're not liberals.
They don't think.
They are out there not hiding who they other than this payroll tax cut extension.
That's the only area where Obama's trying to make himself sound like a conservative.
But I have revised my thinking on this.
I don't think so much Obama is campaigning as a socialist.
I think what he has calculated is that there are enough Americans who will sell their votes to him.
And maybe a distinction without a difference, but I still think it's worth making.
He thinks there are enough Americans who will sell their votes to him.
Put another way, there are enough Americans whose votes he can buy.
And he's making every effort to do it.
He's trying to create as much dependence as he can in this country.
Class warfare politics, unconstitutional mandates, contraception distractions.
Vote buying.
That's what they figure will trump failed policies.
It's clear that that's their strategic.
So his budget is a campaign document.
President puts another irresponsible budget in order to run against a do-nothing Congress.
The last thing they want is for this thing to pass.
The last thing they want is for any legislation of Obama's to pass.
And so therefore any legislation coming from the White House this year is going to be outrageous.
He must have a Congress that votes Down or doesn't even vote, period, on all of his proposals.
Obama has done nothing to bring down his deficit.
And believe me, this deficit is his.
He has done nothing to do away with the red tape that prevents real growth in the private sector.
He has done nothing to improve education.
He's done nothing to reform entitlements.
He has done nothing to allow for the increase in energy supplies to bring down the price of gasoline.
He even said no to the Keystone pipeline.
If there's a do nothing guy, it is Obama.
Who is doing nothing to help this country, and yet he campaigns as if America's problem is a do-nothing Congress.
And he can only get away with this with the help of a report nothing media.
And he's got it.
He's got it.
Right in the palm of his hand, a report nothing media, America's rapidly accelerating deficit, is a result of vote buying sprees, the likes of which we have never seen.
It's a result of a Democrat controlled House and Senate in Obama's first two years in office.
Democrats said yes to bankrupting the country, enriching their friends, and now we are reducing our nuclear stockpile to 300 warheads.
At least that's the proposal.
And Obama wrote a piece while at Columbia University in 1983, spelling out exactly how he wanted to do this and why.
Make no mistake.
And do not doubt me.
Barack Hussein Obama views the United States of America as the problem in the world.
The United States of America is the reason that there are inequities, that there are unfairness, racism, sexism, bigotry, homophobia, environmental destruction, whatever the grievance that liberals have about the human condition across the world, it's our fault.
It is the fault of the United States.
It's the fault of capitalism.
It's the fault of the 1%.
We have robbed, we have cheated, we have stolen, we have co-opted, we have commandeered, we have conquered.
That's his view of this country.
And so let's reduce the stockpile to 300 warheads while the Russians have 1,550, while the Chicoms have more than 300.
Let's make this country vulnerable.
Let's enact policies that will show the people of this country what they've made other people live through.
Let's establish policies in this country that will make Americans finally understand the excrement sandwich they have put the rest of the world through since the days of our founding.
I don't really care anymore, folks.
I am sometimes I vacillate on Obama's motivation, and other days I don't care about it.
But days like this, when it becomes unmistakably clear, there's a huge and maybe more than one chip on his shoulder about this country and its existence and the way it was structured that he doesn't like.
But.
And it's time that we were gotten even with plain and simple.
This reducing nuclear warheads to a number of 300 is staggering news.
Obama could cut our nuclear weapons arsenal by as much as 80%.
And that is an 80% reduction over the so-called new start levels, which have already taken our warheads down to dangerously low numbers.
We've gone from 5,000 down to 1,500.
He wants to take it down to 300 now.
That would be the equivalent of unilateral disarmament given the stockpiles of nations around the world.
And of course, it'll be Welcomed by the United Nations.
It'll be welcomed by the Euro nations.
It'll be welcomed by Vladimir Putin, the Chicoms.
The Mullers of Iran.
The Obama Brotherhood in Egypt.
And of course, their allies in the news media, the Democrat Party will all think this just one of the best days for peace there has ever been.
300 nuclear weapons takes the U.S. back to levels not seen since 1950.
The number of warheads that we had topped out at 12,000 in the late 1980s.
That number helped us win the Cold War.
The arms race was not about total numbers.
It was about having more than all of your enemies because of the deterrent factor.
None of these weapons were ever built with the hope that they would have to be used.
Every one of these was built and armed and deployed with the hope and prayer they would never be needed.
That's why they were built and deployed.
To make sure they weren't needed.
Now, some people just arriving at this because of youth or what it don't maybe not understand.
What do you mean you build it so you don't have to use it?
Yeah, stop and think about it.
From the deterrent point of view.
You build all these weapon systems.
You let the world know you have them.
You let the world know you can use them.
You let the world know they work.
And everybody around the world will think twice about attacking.
That's what was so remarkable, if I might say about 9-11.
They didn't care.
They weren't concerned that we would retaliate in any similar way with our arsenal.
But up until then, the deterrent factor worked.
The fact that we can.
Why do you think the Russians imploded?
Why the Soviet Union imploded?
Again, for those of you new to all of this, the Soviet Union imploded once Ronald Reagan declared that he was going to build a strategic defense initiative, a missile shield, Star Wars.
It was over.
The Russians knew they couldn't do that.
They couldn't keep up, and they knew we could.
They were already a third world nation and empire with a first world military, and that's all they were.
In every instance, the deterrent theory in the number of warheads and where they were deployed and how they were worked.
The deployment of nuclear missiles in Europe scared the hell out of the Europeans, bugged them, but shortly thereafter the Berlin Wall came down.
But Barack Obama has wanted to strip this country of its nuclear weapons ever since he was at Columbia University in 1983.
If not before then.
That's just the most recent that he has written, or the far back as we can find.
Notice how the American people, the public have not been allowed to hear anything about these negotiations just today out of clear blue, we get up and read in the AP.
Obama's going to reduce our warheads to 300.
From what?
Where has this been going on?
What did Bush do this?
Obama inherit this from Bush?
Well, what won't happen?
Where do we get to this point?
We've been kept in the dark about this.
All of this has been going on behind closed doors.
The most transparent administration in the history of the country.
Why is that?
Why has all this been going on with no knowledge on the part of the country?
It's been tried.
Somebody tell me when peace through weakness has ever worked.
That's what Obama is cobbling together here.
Peace through weakness.
Mr. Lumbo, it's a proven fact that with the peoples of the nation.
This is the new Castrati talking to me.
That if we just show our enemies that we intend them no harm, Mr. Limboy, that we'd reduce these Destructive nuclear weapons, the weapons that could destroy everything on earth four times over.
If we reduce those weapons, we are sending the method to the rest of the world that we're fine, a lovable, warned people that we intend them no harm.
No, that's not the message they're going to receive.
And Ahmedini Zad is going to say, oh, you know what?
Look at the Americans.
What a bunch of good guys getting rid of their nukes.
No.
Ahmadini's adamala's all these people.
Look at us, a bunch of raving lunatics.
And they're going to see an opportunity.
Well, there you have it.
Barack Obama destroying the U.S. economy, downsizing the U.S. military, reducing our deterrent nuclear force, and blaming it all on George W. Bush.
We'll take a brief time out.
Get to your phone calls when we come back.
Don't go away.
My friends, in just a few minutes, Obama's going to make a campaign appearance at the Master Lock Company in Milwaukee, going to crow about how well Masterlock has been doing over the last few years.
Now, this ought not surprise anybody.
Look at all the businesses that have been boarded up, all the businesses that have gone bankrupt when that happens, all the four closed homes.
You gotta lock the place.
So Master Lock doing big business because of all the economic destruction.
Obama goes in.
He wants to categorize it and hail it.
You remember.
Am I going to watch Whitney Houston's funeral?
What did I see about that?
No, I'm not.
But uh wait a minute now.
Now let me see about uh uh what did I see about that?
There's some news about Whitley uh they're gonna it's yeah, but it's being carried by the networks or something.
No, that there's some news about that that goes beyond just I just saw it.
I'm having a mental blow.
But anyway, regardless, no, I will not be watching the Whitney Houston funeral.
I have nothing against Whitney Houston, don't no, no.
Got a radio show uh to do here.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, yesterday we uh led with a story out of North Carolina about federal agents in kindergarten schools commandeering lunch boxes made by mothers, carried into school by the kids, the federal agents commandeering the school lunches on the basis they did not meet federal standards.
That blew up yesterday afternoon.
I mean, from what I understand uh on Rush Radio in North Carolina, people were calling left and right upset about this and explaining it.
This apparently has been going on a long time, and people, parents were afraid to tell anybody about this for fear the government would search them down.
Couple of news items here, folks, and we'll be get back to the calls.
First up, Gallup is reporting in their own surveys that the unemployment rate is 9%.
Now, what's interesting about that, Gallup as a leading indicator.
Gallup has had unemployment for the most part lower than federal unemployment over the past six months.
Gallup would come out with a number, and it would be lower, and everybody would think, wow, wow, maybe uh the Bureau of Labor Statistics number, the Department of Labor unemployment number is gonna come down too.
Now, Gallup says 9% unemployment and 19.1 million, 19.1% underemployed.
And the regime has warned people that the unemployment rate might fluctuate back up.
Gasoline prices headed for four or five dollars a gallon.
And get this.
This is from CNBC, General Motors, which is Obama Motors, owned by the UAW.
Don't forget that.
United Auto Workers, a union owns General Motors.
General Motors is ending pension contributions for 19,000 salaried workers.
The affected employees will be switched over to a 401k plan.
Now, I'm assuming salaried workers are not members of the UAW.
Yes, in fact, we just checked on that, ladies and gentlemen.
Salaried workers are not in the United Auto Workers Pension Plan.
So General Motors owners, the United Auto Workers are ending the pensions of the white collar workers.
Don't tell me this is not get even with them ism.
Don't tell me that this is not a bunch of decades old grievances being dealt with here.
That's that's exactly what is going on here nationwide and within Obama Motors.
And now to the phones.
Who's gonna be up first?
Joe in uh in Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina.
Thank you for waiting, Joe.
Great to have you here.
Rush, it's a pleasure to speak with you, and it is always educational to listen to you.
Right on, right on, right on.
Thank you, sir very much.
I appreciate it.
Oh, we do make the complex understandable.
We do try that.
Yes, you do.
Um, nothing is ever his fault.
But what what I called about initially was that he has been creating debt that will make us subject to economic blackmail, and now he's going into nuclear disarmament that will make us subject to nuclear blackmail.
We're surrounded by enemies, external and internal, and I always thought that the Constitution said his primary job is to defend this nation.
He's not doing that.
At what point does this become treasonous?
Well, turning us into a third world contract.
That's I don't think that's what would come under the uh rubric of treason.
But the answer to your question, even if it were, until somebody charges him with it.
I will say this again.
Recess appointments when there's no recess.
If the Senate is not going to stand up for itself, he's going to keep doing it.
If nobody from whom he is usurping power in the legislative branch going to stand up and stop it, he's going to keep doing it.
If nobody objects, in other words, in a way that has a force of law behind it, he's going to keep doing it.
I'll give you the example again.
We've got laws on the books that say you cannot kill somebody.
It's called murder, but people still do it.
Now, in that case, we do try to find the killers.
But imagine if we didn't.
All we would have is a law that says you're not allowed to kill somebody cold blood.
You're not allowed to kill somebody, period.
But if we don't enforce it, what good is it?
So Obama can do all of this until somebody stops him.
Now I know what you mean when you ask me, how can he do this?
You are making the mistake of assuming that we have somebody here with a moral code that would provide a loyalty and fealty to the Constitution.
But we don't have that in this president.
We have a president for whom, to whom the Constitution is an impediment.
The Constitution is a roadblock.
The Constitution is a problem.
The Constitution for Obama and his boys is a worthless document.
They refer to it as negative liberties.
And by that they mean that the Constitution tells government what it can't do, i.e., negative liberties.
They resent the fact that the Constitution doesn't spell out what they can do.
And so they want to rewrite the Constitution.
FDR with his new Bill of Rights.
Obama supports them.
Obama wants one of two things.
He wants to be able to ignore the Constitution with impunity, which he's being able, he's doing, nobody's stopping him.
Ideally, he would like a constitution that he writes that empowers government over everything and every one.
And until he gets that, he's going to act as though that's what it says.
So how can he bring our war hit arsenal down to 300?
Easy.
He's going to order it done.
How can he make a recess appointment when there is no reason?
Just make the appointment.
And if all the Republican leadership's going to do a stand-up and say they deplore it, he'll laugh all the way to the appointment.
Yeah, somebody sent me a note working on this this morning, and I'm sending notes back and forth to a couple of people.
Can you believe this?
That's about the nuclear warhead reduction out of 300.
Somebody said, and other things too, I advanced my theory here that not only are they campaigning for re-election under the full-fledged visible banner of socialism, they...
That properly stated, more properly stated, what they're doing is assuming that there are enough votes that can be bought to secure victory.
There are enough people, enough Americans who will sell their vote to Obama.
And somebody said, Well, where's the Democrat Party in this?
Does the entire Democrat Party made up now of people who have a chip on their shoulder like Obama does about the country?
Is the Democrat Party man to man, woman to woman of the same mindset?
Folks, they must be.
Do you hear anybody in a Democrat party saying or intimating anything that represents disagreement with any of this?
I don't.
Now I remember the Democrat Party used to have people that we would laughingly call adults back during the Clinton years.
People like Robert Strauss, big big Democrat from Texas from the LBJ era, who would put the brakes on if they saw the party heading down the path of total destruction.
I don't think anybody in the Democrat Party of that mindset exists now.
I don't think there's anybody in the Democrat Party who is worried about.
I mean, look what happened at 2010 midterms.
They know full well or knew full well what was going to happen.
They knew they were going to get shellacked, but they knew at the end of the election they would still have Obama in the White House.
They know they've got the media on their side.
They know that they're going to be able to advance their agenda regardless as long as they have Obama there because he will behave outside the Constitution as warranted.
They fully believe they're going to win the House of Representatives back in this election.
Because like Obama, they think there are enough Americans who will sell their votes to Democrats.
And you know what I mean by that vote buying, you know, give this group this benefit, give that group food stamps uh exempt that group from taxes.
Or whatever that group wants, you give it to them.
The theory that most Americans are single issue, and if you find out what the single issue is and give them that, or by the same token, this contraception bit with Santorum.
You establish the notion with the help of your willing accomplices in the media that Rick Santorum and the Republican Party want to deny women birth control pills.
All you have to do is make the charge.
Now they happen to have an interview that Santorum gave years ago in which he talked about this within the context of states' rights.
He said, if the state wants to ban contraception, they should have the right to do that.
Well, that becomes Santorum supports banning contraception.
So to the people in this country who do nothing but have sex mindlessly day in and day out, and to whom birth control is only a means of eliminating consequences.
You tell them that the Republican Party wants to take away their means of no consequences, and I don't care what else is going on in the world.
300 nuclear weapons, Tax increases, economy being destroyed.
You tell that bunch of mindless brain dead twerps that they're not going to get their birth control.
And that's all that'll matter.
They're going to vote for Obama on that alone.
And it will, and that's what they're counting on.
Barack Obama and the Democrat Party are aiming at the lowest common denominator.
They have spent decades dumbing down the American people in the education system that they run and that they have run.
And so campaign for the stupid.
Get the votes by the votes of the stupid.
That's what they're banking on here.
They firmly believe that the number of Americans, educated and informed, is dwarfed by the idiots.
And they're not high-minded.
They don't care to get elected with a mandate.
They don't care to get the votes of the best and brightest.
They don't care who the electorate is.
They just want the votes.
They don't care if they're even legitimate votes for crying out loud.
Meanwhile, who are we?
We're idealists.
Civics 101.
We gear everything we do to people that we think make the country work, the intelligent, the informed, and we try to get more and more of those people.
We want elections to have substance and meaning.
Obama doesn't care.
End result is all that matters.
Then moving the agenda forward.
Any lie necessary, any misrepresentation necessary, no problem.
We'll do it.
We're going to put the notion out that the Republicans are against birth control, that the Republicans want to force every woman to have an abortion.
We'll say it.
We'll do it.
We know that F. Chuck Todd, Dan Radder, whoever they are in the media, going to be right there with us.
Advancing the cause.
We say it.
The media people go to Republicans.
Why do you want to ban birth control people?
Birth control from the people.
I don't want to.
Now clearly you do.
Obama said you want to ban birth control.
You want to eliminate no, no.
Well, Obama says so.
Why do you want to do that?
Like we did a parody of this back during the Ken Starr investigation of Clinton.
James Carville accusing Ken Starr of being an alien.
He's a space alien, liar.
He just played a half of moth.
He's a sex crazy space alien, liar.
So Ken Starr in our parody goes on Larry King.
Larry King says, Ken Starr, are you an alien?
Oh, seriously, Larry.
He's a space alien.
Larry, look at him.
He got the big eyes.
He got that big head.
He looked just like a space alien, there.
And he come here and cigarettes.
He wants your kids smoking.
He wants your babies died.
He wants everybody, that lovely president Bill Clinton kicked out of office.
Why would you want Bill Clinton kicked out of Ken Starr?
I Larry, seriously, I'm just investigating.
He's a space alien, Larry.
He's a space alien for Moss.
He wants to come here and get your kids smoking.
And Larry King, that's how it works.
So they make the charge.
The media asks the questions.
I guarantee you, right now, the whole point is contraception stuff has started last week is to make sure that if Santorum gets the Republican nomination, that's what he's going to be known for.
And of course, the theme of that is Santorum hates women.
Republicans hate women.
Republicans have no respect for Republicans want women in the kitchen constantly pregnant, blah, but whatever it is.
Truth, they don't care about the truth.
They don't care because they know they'll never have to defend the lie.
Their lies will be supported.
For crying out loud, Harry Reid's Republicans want arsenic in your water.
The Republicans want to punish women with babies.
The Republicans want you and your kids to breathe dirty air and to drink dirty and poisoned water.
Does the media ever go to Harry?
Do you really mean that?
Do you really think that's no?
In this case, they leave it alone.
They let Harry Reed's statement stand alone.
They haven't yet got to Republican.
Why do you want to poison the water?
But they will if they have to.
You might just as well ask how can Obama mandate free birth control and abortion pills for everybody?
How can he do that?
He can't, according to the Constitution, but he just did it.
He just did it.
Nobody's trying to stop it.
He just did it.
Here's Bob in Newark, Delaware.
Bob, glad you call.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Yes, Rush.
I'm going to get right to the point.
You've been saying it for for forever.
That if Obama has support of the largest public union in the world.
You see, there are the workers and there are the takers.
And he has support of the takers.
They don't have to give him a penny.
He just gives to them, and they then give him his vote.
Exactly what you've been saying.
Those are the people whose votes he's essentially buying.
Exactly right.
And there may be I don't want to be a real pessimist.
But he may be right.
He may be running the gamble.
There may already be enough of them that he can win a second term.
I don't think the 2010 elections would have uh ended up the way they did if that were the case.
I don't I don't think that the vast majority of people in polling data would be opposed to Obamacare.
But it could well be that pollsters don't reach these takers.
Because they're so buried down in beds underneath the covers with each other that they can't be found.
Right.
I'm Rush, I don't disagree with you.
I'm just saying the possi that's his gamble.
His gamble is there's already enough of them.
That's the way he's going to go.
No, that's exactly right.
He's not trying to sound conservative.
He's not trying to hide liberalism.
He's not trying to hide anything.
He's acknowledging what's going on.
He's blaming it on the Republicans.
But he's campaigning as a full-fledged big government redistributionist.
That you've been screwed by the haves, and I'm here to make everything good now.
I gotta take a brief time out.
Sit tight, we'll be back after this.
Don't go away.
I want to expand on this notion of the takers, who they are, why they are the takers, and how likely are they to remain permanent as takers.
There's a really interesting New York Times story about the middle class and the safety net.
Now you don't go anywhere.
We come back.
I'm going to, it's a very long story.
Export Selection
