Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
All right, did I call it or did I call it?
Stock market as we speak.
It was down over 600 points yesterday now, up to 10.
So I checked the email.
You told us it would be up today.
You knew it would be up today.
Is it up for the reason that you said?
And I'll be honest with you, only partially.
I was partially right, but for the most part, the market is up today because it's a spoiled baby crying to Daddy Bernanke for QE3.
They are expecting the market boys are expecting the Fed to move in with a new policy, print some more money.
This market is up, as they say in some quarters on the come.
Greetings, folks.
Great to have you with us.
It's El Rushball, the all-knowing, all-caring, all sensing, all feeling, all concerned.
All everything Maharushi sitting here behind the one and only golden EIB microphone at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, ideological purity.
Telephone number if you want to be on the program 800 282-2882, the email address, L Rushbaugh at EIBNet.com.
All right, Snerdley, while you're trying to distract me with this look on your face.
What's the problem?
You can't believe he's blaming other people.
You can't believe he's I hope he keeps blaming other people.
It isn't working anymore.
I mean, this is not fine, but he is blaming other people.
In fact, in fact, get this.
He had two fundraisers last night.
Our esteemed leader.
So obviously upset about the state of the economy that he still managed to attend two more campaign fundraisers last night.
And it wasn't even his birthday.
I mean, that's really a tribute, folks, to the indomitable human spirit of a debt man walking.
Barack ellips now, Obamageton.
In fact, they were talking about that on Fox this morning, the uh Fox and Friends at co-host weather guy Steve Goosey was talking uh doosy, uh talking to uh Eric Bowling of the Fox Business Network.
And Ducey said, you know, Rush Limbaugh said yesterday that he said Obama's a debt man walking in 2012.
He went on to say Obamageton.
Uh that's now what we've witnessed since Friday.
It's Barack Elips now.
Can I point out how important what Rush just said is?
There are about 10 or 12 states that are rated triple A right now.
That's right.
At some point, the ratings agency is going to say, hey, they're getting a lot of their funding from the federal government.
If they're getting federal government at double A-plus ratings, there's no way they can survive And that is going to affect millions of investors.
Yeah, that's important what I said yesterday.
Well, I'm important every day, folks.
Uh, we all know this.
Obama is uh is out blaming everybody else, but get this from the Associated Press.
The headline says it all.
Obama sees political opportunity in debt crisis.
President Barack Hussein Obama says there's uh good news.
Folks, there is good news from the bitterly partisan debt debate.
It's made people so frustrated with Washington that Democrats will be able to draw a clear divide with Republicans heading into the 2012 election.
President said that the public thought divided government might make some sense, but not dysfunctional government.
He said he thinks that they're not persuaded by what he described as Republican strateger of slashing spending on social programs.
This is all that ever was since a political opportunity.
The thing is, there already was a clear divide.
We have had a clear divide for decades.
It is just now coming to clear focus with the election of Barack Obama.
Uh the question really is, are we going to have a nominee on our side that will take advantage of this divide, or are we going to have a wimp?
Are we going to have somebody who's not going to be willing to take the filic Obama is out.
Folks, Obama and the White House have made it clear what their campaign strategy is.
They do not have a record to run on.
And so they're not even going to make a pretense of running on their record.
They are on a search and destroy mission.
They are going, and with the media's help, and you see what kind of assistance they can get from Newsweek with the cover they photo did of Michelle Bachman.
It's going to be search and destroy whoever it is.
If it's Romney, the White House is saying we are going to destroy the Republican nominee.
We're going to attack personally, we're going to attack politically, we're going to do that.
That's, and that's all they've got.
They can't run on their record.
So Obama's looking at this as a as a political opportunity.
Now, you know, yesterday we had a quite interesting program, and I I opened up asking, can there be any doubt now that this is on purpose?
And I talked to some people uh yesterday afternoon or last night, uh friends of mine, and they say, you know, I I I agree with you, but I I just don't I don't want to think it.
I don't want to think it.
And I know that a lot of people don't want to think that the country has as a president somebody who so abhors the way the country was founded and so abhors capitalism that his objective is to destroy it.
They know it.
They don't want to believe it.
It is a tough thing.
Now maybe it is just a coincidence.
Let me try it a different way.
Maybe it is just a coincidence, after all.
But if I want you to think about it this way.
If someone really was trying to destroy this economy, wouldn't they do precisely what Obama is doing?
Let me uh let me ask you this.
If somebody was really trying to destroy this economy, what would they do differently?
Maybe think about it in those terms.
What would they do differently?
Keep in mind now.
If you're president and your objective is to destroy the economy, you have to do it.
Sell them, you can't come out and ever say that's what you're doing.
In fact, you have to make it look like you're doing just the opposite.
You have to make it look like, by virtue of what you say, that you want jobs to be created, but what you do doesn't do anything of the sort.
What you do doesn't cause anything other than total chaos and economic destruction.
What would you do differently if you wanted to destroy this country and you were president and you knew the limitations that were on you?
You have to do it while making sure people don't understand or believe or accept that's what you're doing.
What would you do differently than what he's doing?
Somebody tell me.
Maybe look at it that way.
Well, he'd raise taxes if he could, and he has.
Look at he came out yesterday.
What did you what did he say that uh the SP downgrade means?
They're gonna raise taxes on those who can most afford it who are not paying their fair share with uh unemployment, real unemployment at 11.3% to 20%.
How can he, how can he approach the people of this country and tell anybody in this country that they're not doing their fair share?
People's home to destroy, two trillion dollars in asset value the stock market destroyed.
401k is gone, Keyo plan's gone, and he has the audacity to tell people that they're not doing their fair share.
What how do you say that in a circumstance like that?
You say something like that, maybe during times of prosperity, but not in the middle of economic wreckage.
People aren't doing their fair share.
We talk about um what shared sacrifices is that the term?
When's he gonna start sacrificing?
When's the government going to start sacrificing?
Who isn't sacrificing already?
You're watching their own economic life destroyed and probably the economic futures of their children and grandchildren and even their sperm.
They can look at it that way.
People sperm taxes are being spent.
Already.
People sperm don't even have a chance.
Folks, if this if this keeps up.
And you know, why wouldn't Obama be happy with the U.S. having its credit rating downgraded?
He says it's a political opportunity.
It's a political opportunity to show that the divide.
He's looking at it a political opportunity today.
Hadn't he always wanted to see America brought down a peg or two?
Somewhere you know that Jeremiah Wright just has to be happy as he can be.
America's chickens coming home to roost.
Here we go.
We continue with the audio sound bites.
They got some fun ones here today.
Yesterday in Gilbert, Arizona, McCain held a town meeting.
And during the QA, an unidentified woman said, I'm just asking for a simple apology.
Do you apologize to calling the Tea Party hobbits?
I said that if anyone misunderstood.
Yeah, I'm very sorry.
But I'm sorry who was misunderstood.
I am not sorry for what I said.
Oh why should I when it's the fact?
So the Tea Party shows up in a McCain town hall.
They want him to apologize for calling them hobbits.
He says if anybody misunderstood what he said, he was sorry.
A woman says, Is that your apology?
I'm sorry if it was misunderstood.
I'm not sorry for what I said.
I mean, why should I when it's the fact?
Tea Party is hobbits to come much, and McCain represents the Republican Party.
That is your Republican Party today.
That's who they are.
The Republican Party establishment, particularly uh in uh in New York and uh and inside the Beltway.
That is exactly who they are.
Al Gore went nuts Thursday.
I know this is this coincides.
This coincidence was last Thursday in Aspen.
And last Thursday, uh we had a field day with global warming and and how it's all a hoax, and we we just forget the specifics, but we just evidence after evidence after evidence.
You know, the the the guy that took all those fraudulent uh polar bear pictures was uh was gonna be investigated for journalistic fraud and so forth, and all kinds of that stuff happened.
So Al Gore was at the Aspen Institute during a panel discussion on networks and citizenship.
He talked about global warming and he lost it.
They pay pseudoscientists to pretend to be scientists to put out them as it this climate thing, it's nonsense.
Man-made CO2 doesn't trap.
He it may be volcanoes, bullshit, it may be sunspots, bullsh.
It's not getting warmer.
Bullshit.
When you go and talk to any audience about climate, you hear them washing back at you the same crap over and over and over again.
It's no longer acceptable in mixed company, meaning bipartisan company, to use the god climate.
It's not acceptable.
They have polluted this to the point where we cannot possibly come to an agreement on it because of this organized activity.
This exactly, this is what we all want to know that is happening in the dark corridors of the left.
We want to know that they're all reacting this way to everything that's going on.
Al Gore just lost it.
You remember now Friday night on HBO, Christina Rohmer out there and admitted that the intercourse or the economy was intercoursed, and we were intercoursed.
Uh and here's Al Gore, every other word bull and God, and and uh he didn't use the word intercourse, but he got close.
And the outfit he had on.
Oh, I did.
I did, and he was flailing around saying all this.
Uh maybe volcanoes bullshit, maybe sunspots boosted.
It's not getting warmer, bullshit.
When you go and talk to any audience about climate, you hear them washing back.
Hey, same crap over and over again.
No longer acceptable to use the God word climate.
It's nice.
And this, isn't this what we hope they're all doing when they talk to each other and themselves.
In fact, we know they are.
We know they are.
Al Gore just happened to let loose in a moment of lost discipline at the Aspen Institute.
He must not have gotten a mum of civility.
You know, this is the Aspen Institute.
That's that's uh that's Walter um Isaacson's joint.
This is where all of highfalutin hoi polloi uh gather and and uh sit around and talk about stuff and Charlie Rose moderates it.
I don't know if Charlie Rose was there, but he was, he lost control, Al Gore.
Okay, we gotta take a break here.
Uh I will go into detail about them.
Let me see what the market is here.
It's uh up to 13.
It really is for the most part up because investors are expecting exactly what I said yesterday, expecting one of two things.
They're expecting the printing of more money, QE3, which would end up buying securities, or they are expecting what I you know, I didn't predict it, but I told you yesterday I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, and that was the Fed buying stock futures.
Now, they wouldn't be buying futures during the actual day the market is open, but they would overnight, but they are expecting the Fed to buy something to either print money or buy stock and bring it back, and it's up on the cum.
It's it's uh it's it's it's a it's uh performance today, the market up on balsa wood, right?
It really depends on what the Fed does as to whether or not this holds.
I gotta take a break, we'll take it, we'll be quick about it, be back and continue here on the EIB network before you know it.
Not only are Democrats taxing sperm, another way to look at it, the Democrats are taxing babies that haven't been aborted yet.
And they want to do even more of it.
Great to have you, right, Greshlin boy, and the excellence in broadcasting network.
As usual, half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.
Do uh any of you wonder why what's happening in London is happening.
Do you let me just ask you, Don, you don't have to say anything is not yes or no.
Do you know why the London riots are happening?
See, yes or no.
There's no no, it's not a trick question.
I'm just it's I'm just doing a survey.
Don't be afraid.
Okay, forget Don, I didn't ask you.
Hazel?
Okay, no.
Snerdley, do you you know why they're happening?
Why are they happening?
Why are the London riots happening?
Mm-hmm.
Right.
Okay, forget allegedly what's it really all about.
Okay, really hooliganism.
Brian, do you know why the London riots are no clue whatsoever.
Most people have no clue what the London riots are really about, and it's not hooliganism.
Well, hooliganism is the result.
Hooliganism is what's happening.
But it isn't why.
Well, I'm gonna play for you why.
And what you're about to listen to is the equivalent of Obama voters in this country.
And we're not far from this.
This is last night on the BBC during the riots.
The BBC's Liana Josea interviewed two unidentified women protesters, and this is how it sounded.
I don't know.
Conservatives.
Yeah, whatever it is.
Even if showing the police we can do what we want.
These like local people.
I mean, why is targeting local people and your own people?
It's the rich people.
So we're just showing the rich people that we can do what we want.
Conservatives, rich people.
The riots in London, they want you to believe that this is about some out-of-control police action.
That the cops did something.
It's the corporate jet owners.
It's the corporate jet owners and those people not paying their fair share specifically.
It's rich people, the people that got businesses.
If you got a business, you are a rich person.
Now, this, folks, I this is what we have in store.
This is we're on this path.
We're on this track.
I'm glad you're laughing in there, Sterdley.
We're on this track.
We already have near race riots at the Wisconsin State Fair in a state where that kind of thing is not known for.
I'm telling you, these are the equivalent of Obama voters in the United States, people you just heard here on the BBC.
See you.
you Exactly what we do here, we make a complex understandable Rush Limbaugh.
Legend.
A way of life.
Back to this BBC thing.
The way that BBC introduced that segment was this.
Croydon area town.
Croydon was one of several areas plagued by unrest on Monday night on a third night of riots in the Capitol.
Plagued by unrest.
Spontaneous unrest.
Stuff just happens.
I'll listen to the bite again from Liana Josea of the BBC talking to two unidentified drunk women in London.
Are you drinking all night?
Yeah.
I don't know.
Conservatives.
Yeah, whatever it is.
Even if right showing the police we can do what we want.
These like local people.
I mean, why is targeting local people and your own people?
It's the rich people.
It's the rich people, the people that have got businesses, and that's why this is happening because of rich people.
So we're just showing the rich people that we can do what we want.
We're just showing the rich people we can do what we want.
That's the telling aspect of that.
We're just showing the rich people we can do what we want.
All this is happening because of rich people.
The people that got businesses are conservatives.
That's why all this is happening.
You are dubious about this.
They burn down the stores to show the rich people we can destroy what they have so that they will have nothing too.
We can burn down the property of the rich people so that they've got nothing either.
Missing the point here.
Yeah, they have insurance.
Point is these people have everything.
They've got free health care.
They've all just recently had to start paying for their education.
They live in a full-fledged socialist country.
They have their equivalent of food stamps.
They have interminable unemployment.
They have free medical care, ostensibly.
It's what they were promised.
These were the people that bought into the false promises of socialism.
These are the people that bought into the false promises of utopia.
And who are they mad at?
They are mad at people who didn't.
They're mad at people who are self-reliant.
They're mad at people who are making something of themselves independently.
They think they have been defrauded.
What they don't understand is they think that it is the successful portion of the population that has defrauded them, not their government.
And they are being fueled by whoever they listen to to believe that rich people in businesses equal conservatism.
I don't think it's a laughing matter.
Clearly the women are funny, they're drunk and they don't know what they're talking about.
It's not a laughing matter.
This is, in my estimation, precisely what we're headed for.
And I think if this were to happen, Obama would not be upset.
Obama won't.
In fact, we've seen elements of this.
We've seen his union Thugs show up at tea party events and start engaging in thuggery, beating people up.
It is starting to happen here.
There is no happiness in socialism.
There is no nirvana, there is no utopia.
There is no happiness in liberalism.
It's all a false promise.
And when that reality suddenly hits you, as an individual or as a member of a group, that's a hard cold reality to understand that everything you've been promised, everything you've been told and everything you have believed in leaves you with nothing.
You don't even have your self-respect.
All you can do, all you feel like doing is lashing out at the people who have.
Whether it's a dollar more than you or a bunch of dollars more than you.
This is being stoked.
This this uh there's fuel being thrown on this fire.
And, you know, I have sat patiently by, and I have waited.
I've been watching videotape of the riots in London.
They just seem to be spontaneous combustion.
And I've been asking myself, what's this all about?
And I would read various uh state run media accounts, and none of it made any sense to me.
It's spontaneous stuff.
This there's nothing spontaneous about this.
This is all stoked.
This is all ginned up.
It's like Greece, it's like France, and we're headed there.
But the the the real the point about it is is that is that all of the false prophets of the left who promise this utopia, who promise uh happiness, contentment, uh uh economic equality, equality of outcome.
Let the government be the referee, and everything's gonna be fine.
It never is.
And so it's more lives destroyed.
These people are getting drunk as a means of dealing with the reality that they matter nothing.
Their lives, in their own estimation, are meaningless.
Their leaders have led them to utterly valueless, meaningless lives.
And nobody wants to think that their life doesn't matter.
Everybody wants to matter.
That's why you can make people believe in global warming.
As long as you tell them they're saving the planet, you tell them that by leading a life of so-called virtue that they are saving the planet or saving some endangered species or whatever, you give them a sense of purpose.
That's why liberalism is the most gutless choice you can make.
It's an easy sell.
But see, it never works, it never comes to fruition.
The promises cannot be met.
Now we have a leader in the White House who is telling people exactly what these people in Britain have been told.
Now, the uh Reverend Jacks, he's starting again, he does this every now and then, starting to make waves about how unfair African American unemployment is compared to the rest of the country.
But if you think that the Reverend Jackson is doing this to stoke anger at President Obama, you're wrong.
He's not trying to stoke anger at President Obama.
He's trying to stoke anger at the structure of America.
Those two girls in that UK soundbite are a triumph of liberalism.
They represent the best that liberalism and socialism have to offer.
It's not the haves versus the have nots, you see.
It's the productive versus the slothful.
And that's what it boils down to.
It's not haves or have not.
This is where everybody misunderstands that.
It's not class envy.
It's the fleas versus the dogs, the productive versus the nonproductive.
That's the context in which you have to look at all the workers versus the lazy, the people in the cart versus the people pulling the cart.
However, you want to characterize it.
But the nonproductive, even though, even though they are non productive, look at what they do have.
Supposedly, free health care, education, all these wonderful things that liberalism has promised them.
Can't fulfill the promises.
Washington Times.
Read it and weep here, folks.
Well, that's what I'm doing.
You will listen and weep.
Speaking, by the way, speaking of Al Gore.
One thing first.
Al Gore's rant.
The fascinating thing about that is that you're listening, or we we're listening to a guy who knows he's lost.
He's lost the argument now.
That's his reaction to it.
He knows that people aren't buying the whole concept of man-made global warming.
He can't sell it.
The days are gone.
It's over.
He's not believed.
That's why he's coming unglued.
He's coming unglued because he's lost.
He's coming unglued because he's lost the argument.
Everything that he cited in that rant was one of the elements that he's used to sell it.
Over the course of the decades he's been trying to sell it.
Every one of them now, people don't believe them.
Washington Times, pummeled by ghastly economic news, President Obama called Monday for more spending and extended tax cuts that said uh he said would help stimulate the economy, but these also could deepen the deficit problems and help the federal government earn its first ever debt downgrade last week.
Um president made the proposals as world stock.
What do we this is from yesterday?
He didn't make a stimulus, but this is this is a review of his speech from yesterday.
Call for more STEM.
Of course he did.
More stimulus, more spending, more taxation on the rich.
He hasn't said anything yet today.
All right, quick time out.
We'll be back.
We'll continue right after this.
Don't go away.
Ever back, great to have you with us, Rush Limbaugh and the Endwork.
One day after the uh stock market took its biggest plunge since the 2008 financial crisis, President Obama today canceled a previously scheduled speech at a local moving company.
And the White House also pulled a plug on the daily press briefing.
Instead of traveling to Springfield, Virginia-based interstate moving services and making public remarks on fuel efficiency standards for work trucks.
Now, just how relevant would that be?
Somebody in the White House, obviously getting a handle on what an absolute dumb time to go out and start talking about fuel efficiency standards for work trucks.
Nobody cares about that right now.
So instead, Obama will meet privately with industry officials of the White House or did so this morning.
That meeting closed to the media.
In addition to 1230 briefing with the press Secretary Jay Carney has been canceled.
And when you hear the rest of today's audio sound bites, you'll understand why.
In fact, let's just go.
Let me find those audio sound bites.
Let's see.
This is the uh the one where Glenn Thrush gets all over Carney for admitting that Obama doesn't lead on anything.
We're looking for it.
We're about to find it.
Well, no, no, I don't know where it is.
It's somewhere here in the stack.
Somebody shoot me a number.
Cookie, what number is this thing that I'm looking for?
Nothing ends up in order.
I can't see it's uh.
Well, I know I saw it here.
But I can't find it.
Ah, here it is.
It's number two and three.
Here we go.
It's the front page, of course.
All right.
This is Jay Carney.
Somebody's two and three here, Ed.
This is Jay Carney yesterday at the daily press briefing.
Reporter said when the president puts forward his plan, a reset of ideas, or the president said he's gonna have in the coming months some ideas to deal with our tumbling economy.
So the question is when the president puts forward his planary set of ideas, does he envision that as his idea for what the final compromise should look like, or is this sort of an opening offer?
I don't want to get too far ahead of the process.
Obviously, the committee is the acting body here and will hopefully come up with a proposal that emerges from the committee and is and then moves on that fast track to be voted on up or down by Congress.
He will be contributing to that process, not driving it or directly.
So now they're really they canceled Carney today, and this is why Carney says, no, the president is not gonna be leading anything.
He's not gonna be, he's he's not gonna be driving anything.
He's not gonna be directing it.
So after Carney says that Obama's just gonna be contributing, but not directing it, Glenn Thrush of the Politico and Carney have this little uh back and forth.
One other thing you said that uh that struck me as particularly interesting.
He will uh be contributing to the process talking about the supercommittee.
Uh but he won't be leading it.
Why he's the leader of the free world.
Why isn't he leading this process?
I I think that was a technical recognition of the fact that it is a congressional committee.
Look, this president, his leadership on these issues is quite established.
No, it's not.
So the the media, politico, the stenographers.
Not happening.
Well, why why isn't he gonna lead?
Why isn't Obama being the guy we thought he was?
Jay.
We thought Obama was a messiah.
We told everybody Obama now, he's a coward.
Now he won't even lead.
He won't even.
Why?
Carney says, well, president's leadership in this issue is quite established.
No, it's not.
During the same press briefing, Nora O'Donnell, who moved over to CBS.
So to follow on the president saying I intend to release my own recommendations, when will he do that?
How is he gonna do it differently this time, or is it gonna be different?
We do not control all levers of government.
Sometimes that is quite unfortunate, but the fact is we work with Congress in this process, and the president will put forward his ideas.
This is Congress's baby, and uh President's gonna put forth his ideas, but that's about it.
Uh drive-by is who sat there and told us that this guy was the Messiah.
I think they're genuinely disappointed.
Genuinely surprised.
These people, you know, there's a there's a piece of the Wall Street Journal today, is Obama smart.
Yeah, fascinating subject, too.
I think, you know, we need to redefine smart in this kind of a lot of genuinely not very bright people who are thought of as very intelligent.
I think Obama is one of them.
Obama clearly is one of these kids.
Is like a lot of kids in America today grew up.
You're special, Barack.
You're special, little Johnny.
If you think two plus two is five, that's very good, little Johnny.
It does until you figure out differently.
You're wonderful, little Johnny.
And these kids grow up and they think the world revolves around them and that they're flawless, and that they're per and and they end up not knowing anything, and they think very highly of themselves with no evidence, no reason to.
They haven't accomplished anything.
Obama, you know, is not, you know, these these people told us, these people in the media who I also don't think, and I mean this in a strictly non-insulting way.
People are going to think of being insulting.
But I'm not, I don't think they're very bright.
These questions will when is he going to lead?
So why how will it be any different?
What when will the president put forward his idea?
What?
Uh have they not observed this guy the last two and a half years?
In fact, you know, there's even a leftist columnist who's saying, you know, Obama's not really the new deal.
Obama's not really the leftist here.
Obama's not really that far.
He just turned everything over to Pelosi and now he's paying the price.
There's actually a lib columnist, or somebody put that out.
Obama's not the liberal here.
He just turned everything over to Pelosi.
Now he's paying the price.
And the sad fact is bright people don't go into journalism.
Just that simple.
We've updated the list of uh enemies that Obama has, uh, and the enemies that he wants us to have.
SP just the latest Obama target that we are to hate.
Yesterday it was a tea party.
Every day it's the Tea Party.
So many enemies, it's hard to keep track.
Export Selection
