Time Text
Hey Mike, I just got uh notification here's uh couple new sound bites.
Uh Sheila Jackson Lee, that's always fun, no matter what she says.
And apparently Obama today Cleveland, so I might get to 32 and 33 before we get to number three.
As I hang in there and uh and be tough.
Welcome back, folks.
Great to have you.
My name Rush Limbaugh, but you know that.
And this is the EIB network, and you know that.
And you know what we do here.
If you want to be on the program, telephone number 800 28282, the email address L Rushball at EIB net.com.
So I checked the email during the break, and this last caller and all this uh this this joint sacrifice business, and people suggesting rush, you do sacrifice.
Why don't you tell that guy how much you're paying taxes?
That would not be classy, folks.
That's not the way to deal with this.
I mean, to tell him that I pay more in taxes in one year than he's gonna earn in his worthless life is not the classy way to do this because what this is all about, that's not what this clown actually means by sacrifice.
You gotta understand this.
Joint sacrifice to liberals means more government, even now.
Even now, with massive spending, high unemployment, foreclosures to this liberal that called here and all the rest of them.
The problem is not enough government.
It's not enough bureaucrats, not enough government benefits, not enough government.
That's what the left means.
The question is when is it time for Washington to sacrifice?
When is it time for the unions to sacrifice?
When is it time for government to sacrifice?
When is it time for bureaucrats to sacrifice?
When do they ever sacrifice?
When does the government sacrifice?
The government never sacrifices.
Zilch, zero, nada.
Now you want to start talking about sacrifice.
Sacrifice to me means reducing the size of government.
Sacrifice means the takers don't get as much.
Sacrifice means the takers stop demanding as much.
This is not about rich versus poor.
This is about government versus the people, bureaucrats versus the taxpayers, plain and simple.
And I want to I want to you you you Democrats and and and those of you in the country that call yourselves leftists.
Let me tell you something.
The worst thing you ever did was pass Obamacare.
The worst thing you ever did, you overreached by a factor of a gazillion.
You went too far with that.
Look at what you've caused.
With the simple passage of Obamacare and the undemocratic, fraudulent way you went about it.
Buying votes, buying off whole states, talking about doing it via budget reconciliation, doing it on Christmas Eve, trick nighttime procedures and so forth.
Quite simply, what has resulted is the American people say they don't want you.
They don't want what you have to offer.
The American people simply do not want liberalism.
The American people do not want liberals.
Look at what happened.
You think what's happening in Wisconsin is coincidence?
It's not.
You overreach and you take over one-sixth of this economy with a bogus, fraudulent, budget-breaking, constitution-violating piece of legislation.
Thank you.
And look at the shellacking you got.
You lost the House of Representatives.
You're going to lose the Senate and the White House in 2012.
You have lost governorships.
You lost 700 seats in state legislatures.
And it's all coming home to roost, and what's your solution?
Run away.
Run away from the job in Wisconsin.
Run away from the job now in Indiana.
Run away from the job soon in Ohio.
The American people do not want you.
The American people do not want what you believe.
The American people do not want liberalism.
You made it plain what liberalism is.
It is fraudulent, it is phony, it is lawbreaking, it is cheating.
It is in sincerity.
Its disingenuousness is on full display with the passage of this health care bill.
Everything about liberalism that people instinctively distrust and don't like is now plain as day to see.
They don't need their instincts to know.
They got real life.
And now they can see something also plain as day.
All these years, Democrats had made it plain that the little guy, that's what they cared about, the little guy.
The downtrodden.
The victims of life, and they were made victims by virtue of who?
Republicans, conservatives, the rich, the powerful.
Yeah.
Well, who is the Democrats are siding with now?
Who is it?
When in a moment of survival for the Democrat Party, where do they go?
Not to you, not the voters.
Not to the population, not to the American people.
They stay in bed with the special interest group known as public sector unions.
Public sector union guy says to elected Democrat, you're never going to work in this state again unless.
Guy leaves the job.
Cowardly walks off, gets on a short little bus, and heads to a neighboring state, holed up in a hotel, cowardly afraid to face the little guys for whom supposedly his political existence is aimed at.
So the frauds that you all are is now plain as day for everybody to see.
The American people don't want you.
They don't want liberalism running the institutions and traditions that define this country's greatness.
They don't want you.
And they saw plain as day what you were all about with the health care bill.
And now they see what you're all about with what really matters to you, what your priorities really are.
When you walk off the job and try to claim it's with honor, you claim you're doing this for the children, you claim you're doing this for the people.
You've spent years impugning, slandering, and libeling Republicans claiming they wanted to cut money for school lunch programs, kick people out of their houses, take their retirement benefits away from them.
You lied and lied and lied.
You impugned, you libeled, you slandered.
You had the referee in this game on your side, the media.
So this notion that you were the ones truly compassionate, you were the ones with the big hearts, you're the ones that really cared about the children.
Where are the children today in Wisconsin?
Where have the children been with you people in charge in it?
We just read that two-thirds of Wisconsin eighth graders can't freaking read at an acceptable level.
And look at what these teachers are being paid and look at their pensions and look at their health care benefits.
Take that to the private sector.
Not only are they fired, they're maybe in jail for what they've done to the children.
So you gotta come to grips with something.
This country has spoken all the way down to the level of dog catcher.
If the dog catcher job was Republican versus Democrat, the Democrat dog catcher lost.
It was a steep and deep political shellacking.
And so now we see the results of it.
Elections have consequences.
The people who ran for office against Democrats in November and who were elected have now rolled up their sleeves and are beginning to work.
They're doing the work of the people who elected them.
They are not engaged in sabotaging the people.
The Democrats elected in this country, the vast majority of them have expressly engaged in sabotage against the American people by siding with other Americans whose job it is to squeeze every last dime out of them.
In what is not anything other than a transfer of wealth?
Public sector unions create zilch.
They produce zilch.
They add zero to the gross national product.
It's simply wealth transfer.
It's simply the redistribution of wealth.
And what now has happened is that those from whom the wealth is taken have figured out that the beneficiaries of the transfer now earn twice what they who are earning the money in the first place earn.
Once that was learned, once that was figured out, what did you expect to happen?
Did you really think that there was so much love and adulation, respect for government workers that how no matter how large the shaft job was, that the people producing the money to pay these people would just continue to bow down and say, Oh, please continue to serve us?
We love encountering you at the DMV.
We can't wait to see you when we have to go get our health care.
We just love seeing you people when we show up at the airport.
We love getting patted down.
While Ahmed sails through, granny blue hair bloody married gang has to be stripped down to bare nothing, looking for a non-existing weapon.
While we're paying all of this.
I mean, it's the tipping point has been reached here.
More than 700 seats in state legislatures went from Democrat to Republican.
Hello, Wisconsin.
Hello, Indiana.
Hello, Ohio.
Meanwhile, grab audio soundbite number 32.
While we're thinking about it, this is the leader of the regime today in Cleveland at Cleveland State University.
State-run MSNBC, the only network covering this.
And they cut away shortly after the president said what you're going to hear here.
The entire nation is focused on Wisconsin.
The entire nation is focused on debt.
The entire nation is focused on four Americans shot by Somali pirates.
The entire nation is focused on this country is a target of everybody and everything, including members of its own government.
And the leader of the regime, who is the architect of all of this indebtedness.
The president of the United States, who is responsible for trillion of the 14 trillion national debt.
Who is responsible for one and a half to two trillion dollar annual deficits?
The President of the United States goes to Cleveland and says.
I've spent uh the last month since the State of the Union sharing my vision for an America that remains the best place on earth to do business.
An America that competes aggressively for every job and every industry that's out there.
An America that wins the future.
Part of that means making sure that government lives within its means, just like you do.
Now, this is making a fool of yourself.
The President of the United States, a leader of the regime in Cleveland, talks about making sure that government lives within its means while organizing the opposition to living within its means in Wisconsin, while organizing the opposition to fiscal responsibility in Wisconsin, while organizing the opposition to sensible budgeting in Wisconsin, while organizing the opposition to doing the right thing.
Barack Obama goes to Illinois or Ohio and says we have to live within our means.
That's when MSNBC cut out.
They figured not even their pundits would be able to spin this with any kind of credibility.
Back to the phones we go, and where's next Orlando, Florida?
This is Patrick.
Hello, sir.
Wonderful to have you on the EIB network.
Well, thanks for taking my call, Russ.
I appreciate it.
You bet.
Hey, I just want to say how proud I am of these governors uh standing their ground.
They're quite obviously not worried about getting re-elected.
They're just worried about getting a job if they're hired.
Yeah, I I I totally agree.
And in fact, I remember um talking to a lot of people last week when the uh situation in Wisconsin started, and maybe you're like this too.
Gee, we hope he sticks to his guns now that he started down this road.
We hope he doesn't cave underneath this.
And he's he's not.
I hope he doesn't I well I hope they don't give up any concessions either.
What they're asking for is uh completely fair.
Uh well, fair, yeah.
But it's it's it's also hey, the realities of the world are this.
We are broke.
You know, we we don't have the money to pay you what you've been earning, and we cannot continue to keep you employed if you are going to demand this kind of compensation, especially after you've retired and are no longer working.
Uh they're talking about busting the union.
Um he's out to bust the union, which is in in the old days, busting the union, that was not good.
Busted a union, why that was that was that was uh wielding power over the unfortunate working guy.
And the guy took a shower after work.
Today, busting the union is met with, yeah, you go, dude.
Particularly his public sector unions.
Look, FDR, uh we we we hearken back to his quotes.
Folks, let me say this is not insignificant.
If if I mean this is the patron saint of liberalism today, FDR.
Toss up, you know, Mark's FDR, but they shower each with affection.
But FDR, what did he know when he said unionizing government workers can't work?
What did he know?
No, he knew it would turn people against government, and that was the last thing he could put up.
FDR, people like FDR need people loving, respecting, almost treating uh government as though it's next thing to God, the last thing FDR wants people hating government.
That's why government gives away everything.
Government, social security, retirement, welfare, health care, all this.
Get people loving government and the people who run it, i.e.
Democrats.
He knew that once the people of the country start paying government workers more than they are earning themselves, and that the last thing he wanted was to turn people against government.
That that would be the end of liberalism, that'd be the end of FDR, that would be the end of Democrat Party.
That's what he knew.
But the greed of this crop of Democrats ignored the warning.
Their uh hubris is such that they don't care if we hate the government.
Because government's now a big boot.
Listen to Obama, listen, Sheila Jackson Lee, whoever it is, we'll put their boot on their throat, put our boot on their throat.
We're a boot on the throat of big oil, whatever.
They don't care.
They want us to fear government.
FDR knew that if we turned against government, that was akin to turning against him and the Democrat Party.
I mean, if you are the party of government and people hate the government, where are you?
That's what he knew.
Here's Kelly in Southern California.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Good morning, Rush.
How are you?
Very well.
Thanks, El Mucho.
I've listened to you for many years, and I want to say I don't disagree with what you're saying.
Um, but I do have a uh different uh spin on this, being that you know, my husband is uh in the the uh police, he's a police officer here in California.
And before we go after um the American citizens that are are working these positions and living paycheck to paycheck, when are we gonna tackle the illegal immigration that is decimating states like California?
Our budget deficit is exactly the amount that we fork out to illegal immigrants in this state.
Yeah.
Well, again, um who you're asking the question of, but I can tell you who you should be asking the question of it.
Certainly isn't me.
Yeah, I think.
And Democrat Party, ma'am.
Democrat Party.
Well, it just it seems to me with the Democrat Party and a court is done.
There are some, there are some Rhino Republicans who are also big on illegal immigration, amnesty and all that, but you know, the open borders crowd, wherever you find them.
That's what you need to ask this question of.
In the meantime, Scott Walker, he's got pressing matter, his budget right now.
Got to deal with that first and foremost and what's causing it.
Hi, welcome back.
Great to have you.
It's Rush Limbaugh.
This is the EIB network.
Public sector unions are so big, they don't think they have anything to worry about.
They don't have to be liked.
FDR knew the minute most people started hating government, it was not good for the Democrat Party.
That's what he knew, and that's why he didn't want government workers to be unionized.
There's a lot of unusual number of negative events that are happening, folks, that are overlapping.
Now you know that I am the epitome here of upbeat.
I am also a resident of Literalville.
I live in real.
Somebody has to let's take a look at some of these negative events, just as individual items.
Some of them overlap, making them even more dangerous.
We have a president who is hostile toward the private sector of this country.
We have a president who is hostile to the engine of wealth creation.
We have massive regulations which are punitive and designed to hamper and harm those who create things in the private sector.
We have policies that punish success.
We have above 10% unemployment if statistical games are not being played by the regime.
We are attempting to nationalize health care even after a court has declared the whole bill unconstitutional.
We are printing money.
We have a 14 trillion dollar national debt.
And the impact of that on inflation just now starting to be felt.
We have unsustainable budgets presented and promoted by the White House.
We have no leadership from the White House on unsustainable entitlements.
We have a budget blueprint that's offered that doesn't deal with one challenging tough thing.
Because it's nothing more than a political document.
It's a game.
It's a trap.
The leader of the regime wants the Republicans to go first on that.
We're shutting down oil and gas development in the Gulf of Mexico, specifically.
and throughout the United States generally.
How's that going to impact energy costs?
We have a Middle East unrest, royal, like we haven't seen in a long time.
Nobody knows what the end result of all this is.
From Bahrain to Libya to Tunisia to Egypt, Jordan, Iran, nobody knows where this is all going to end up.
Not even the royal family of Saudi Arabia feels safe.
Meanwhile, we are shutting down our own oil and gas development in light of A potential Middle Eastern disaster, which will no doubt affect the price of oil and in turn inflation.
Sharia law is gaining traction in multiple countries.
Countries which have had multicultural open border policies are now after it's too late saying it doesn't work.
Israel is being squeezed by its neighbors, by the United Nations, and now the United States joins the United Nations in squeezing Israel over the building of homes for its citizens.
Not even military action.
Not even military defensive action being taken by Israel.
And the United States joins in condemning Israel with the United Nations.
We have a significant decline in American power.
We clearly have lost the will to project American power and influence abroad.
Instead, we are projecting profound weakness.
During a time of great turmoil, mobs in the streets of Cairo openly mocking the president of the United States despite the best efforts of a state-run media reporter, Nick Robertson, to get them to sing the praises of Obama.
Remember that?
Nick Robertson in the streets of Cairo?
I'm here with Mustafa.
Mustafa, what is your message for Obama?
Who?
He had nothing to do with any of this.
Even all over the bullet park.
I'm not with Ahmed.
Ahmed, what is your message for President Obama?
Well, he's kind of been all over the ballpark.
We really don't know.
Where Obama's you can hear.
The late arrivals of the scene both appreciate very much the work of Obama.
They don't, they're laughing at him.
President of the United States is being laughed at.
And why?
Because the people doing the laughing understand that they were attempted pawns.
They understand the president of the United States trying to take their movement, whatever it is, and incorporate it into his own presidential campaign of 2012.
They know he doesn't care about them.
We have a decline in morals and ethics in this country that continues.
We have doctors now lying about the health of their patients.
Doctors actively lying, caught on television lying about the health of teachers in Wisconsin, writing them phony medical excuse notes, and doing so with defiance and pride.
We have Democrat politicians cowardly fleeing their state to short circuit elections and votes and democracy.
We have a president who actively works to create class warfare and civil unrest.
We have a president who is promoting the unethical behavior of these doctors, a president who is encouraging the cowardly fleeing of Democrat senators.
We have a president who is encouraging the intimidating lawless behavior of public sector union leaders.
We have with all of this a state-controlled media.
Now, if you take all this as a whole, it's bad.
How bad?
Don't know.
But there clearly are positive signs on the horizon.
The election of November 2010 was deep.
Results are already starting to be seen.
But we are accumulating a growing number of escalating problems, and nothing's being managed.
Very little of it being checked off the list.
This is how organizations become overwhelmed.
Instead of getting a handle on problems, this regime is sinking deeper into chaos and confusion.
I happen to think by design, but we can debate that later.
Instead of admitting mistakes and correcting them, the regime has chosen to spin cover up and lie.
They're lying about jobs and the number of them.
They're lying about budgets.
The regime is lying about its own health care plan.
The regime lying about inflation.
and They're lying about reducing regulations.
They're lying.
regime is lying about living within its means, lying about the stimulus bill and what it did and didn't do.
They lied about recovery summer.
Okay.
They lied about Egypt and their role in it.
They're lying about the dangers of drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico.
They're lying about things we don't even know about yet.
Deceit by virtue of withholding information.
The Republicans who are in Congress, who are governors, who have been elected to state office, have their hands full.
And they will be rewarded if they put their country first.
If they hold the regime's feet to the fire.
So far they are.
Kaysha just joining us.
Illinois, uh uh Indiana Democrats are the next to have fled their state to Illinois and Kentucky to avoid voting.
I mentioned earlier that there seems to be no fear of the United States around the world anymore.
Now, maybe some of you who have been through conflict management courses might blanch at the notion of no fear.
You might say, or you might want to hear me say that uh they don't respect us out there.
Either way, we're not feared, we're not respected, and wasn't it supposed to be just the opposite?
None of these problems are going to be heavy.
Remember, Obama's gonna lower the sea levels, and everybody's gonna love uh the United States, uh, everybody's gonna love each other.
All we had to do, all the United States had to do was admit its guilt.
All we had to do was admit our guilt, that our existence has been a lie, that we were not a beacon of hope, freedom, we were nothing but racist, sexist, bigot homophobes, and we looted and stole from poor people all over the world, and that's how we built the American Empire, and all we had to do to make the world love us was to elect somebody, whose election would translate to us admitting that guilt.
And that's what the election of Obama was supposed to be.
Elect Obama, and the message of the world is the American people ask forgiveness.
We understand our transgressions.
We understand that we've stolen, we understand that we've colonized, we understand that we've been imperialistic.
We understand that we have uh created our own wealth by virtue of stealing it from the poor people of the world, and electing Obama means we know this.
So that was to be the message.
The world was supposed to once again love us.
What's happened is the despots of the world are looking and say, I cannot believe they're actually giving up.
I can't believe the United States is actually buying all this BS we've been saying.
They can't believe their good fortune.
Despots, thugs, dictators around the world cannot believe their good fortune.
That the American people have elected an administration who really believes the United States is the problem in the world.
The result of this, the Somali pirates have now killed four Americans with the U.S. Navy nearby.
No fear.
In Mexico, drug cartels ambush U.S. ICE agent, college students, tourists are murdered in recent weeks.
They're not afraid, not worried.
Pakistan holds a CIA agent.
They have gone public with his identity.
We're not unhappy about it.
Whatever we're, I mean, I don't know if Panama may not even know yet.
The CNN had this story.
Panetta may not even know that a CIA agent is being held by Pakistan unless CNN's reported it.
So Pakistan's holding the CIA agent who defended himself and others from attack.
They refused to release him despite diplomatic immunity, no fear.
Iran is is holding three American hikers and just sent warships through the Suez Canal.
It's a provocation, it's no fear.
Two hikers.
North Korea begging us to send food again, despite their recent attacks on South Korean island, Violating nuclear agreements with us, no fear.
Moamer Qaddafi, this guy's still speaking.
Ignores our weak statement calling for the end of violence.
Obama was laughed at.
Trust me, don't doubt me on this.
In the streets of Cairo.
Bahrain, so what if our Fifth Fleet is based there?
We're not having any impact on events.
No fear.
South America, Venezuela, Bolivia have nationalized our companies, have nationalized American companies.
Have shown severe disrespect for American leaders.
And our own president huddles up and laughs.
With the architect of all that, Hugo Chavez.
Cuba.
The idiot fidel Castro still railing against us.
No fear.
Chicoms, Hu Jintao, still ignore our demands for currency adjustments.
Still steal our intellectual property at will.
The Navy expands.
They don't answer common communications from our ships in the Pacific, try to steal our technology for stealth fighters.
And they're not afraid because they know they hold so much of our debt.
Now you take all these things together.
You know, you Democrats, are you aware of the precarious nature you have plunged this country into?
Alright, let's go to audio soundbite number three.
I don't want you to forget this stuff, folks.
I don't want you to forget where the Democrat Party's loyalties really lie, and they are not with you.
And even you liberals and independents, the Democrat Party's loyalties, as is being demonstrated here.
Democrat senators in Wisconsin and Indiana run away, flee their states, escaping votes, running away from jobs.
Not for you, but at the behest of government union leaders.
We go back to January 15, 2008 in Las Vegas.
Service Employees International Union Campaign Rally.
Senator Barack Obama, presidential candidate, these are his people.
I come from an organizing background, so I've known that I've been working at SEIU before I was elected to anything.
When I was a community organizer, SEIU, Local 880, and myself reorganized.
Woo!
Woo!
Make sure that home care workers had basic rights to organize, we organized motor registration grass.
That's how we built political power on the south side of Chicago.
I kept out there in Illinois, and now the time has come for us to do it all across this country.
And we are gonna get out there and we are gonna show America that the time for change has come.
SEIU, I'm glad you're with me.
Let's together change the country.
SVIU.
Thank you, every day.
I love you guys.
I love you guys, S E I U. Service Employees International Union, a government union.
Union made up of government workers, and the president says, We're gonna paint Nevada purple, we're gonna paint the nation purple, we're gonna go out there and show America the time for change has come.
What might that be?
Talking to unionized government employees.
You heard the energy.
You heard these are his people.
This is the group Obama loves.
This is the kind of organization that gets his blood flowing.
Service employees in a national union.
Whether it's public, some places private.
Point is that's where his allegiance lies.
How are they gonna change the country?
What does that mean?
What in the world is that possibly mean?
change the country for whose benefit?
How does that happen?
What's see, folks, changing the country means when nothing's wrong with it, obviously it isn't good.
We'll be back.
Stay with us.
That's right, Barack Obama, the union organizer in chief, not president of the United States.
That's why he's now throwing the Democrat Party and the DNC totally behind unions in Wisconsin, in Ohio, in Illinois, and soon Michigan.
Instead of trying to help these states, instead of trying to help these states do what they can to deal with their crushing deficits, what's Obama doing?
Export Selection
