Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Operation Wet Diaper.
That's what the Obama press conference was yesterday, ladies and gentlemen.
Operation Wet, in fact, Operation Wet Diaper is what the entire Democrat Party is having or going through.
It's uh it's amazing to watch all this.
You know, I'm not all that convinced that the deal is gonna hold up.
I'm it it it could fall apart over something as innocuous as the death tax.
It could fall apart over that just as easily as it could fall apart over the uh extension of tax cuts for the rich.
And if if it falls apart, Obama will be happy.
Make no mistake, he would love to be able to blame this falling apart on Republicans.
He would love to be able to blame the fact that there is going to be a tax increase on the middle class on Republicans.
He would love to do so.
Obama's an idiologue.
He doesn't care about the middle class, he doesn't care about any class.
Uh cares about himself.
Anyway, we got, as I told you, we've got audio sound bites from the presser yesterday, and we will analyze it as only I can.
Operation Wet Diaper.
I mean, the media is just beside itself over how pathetic his performance was yesterday.
One guy from Talking Points Memo.
I love it.
When all these um elitist journalists, elitist journalists get into their analysis business, and this one guy from Talking Points Memo, I'm gonna have to paraphrase it, said we saw something we've never seen before.
And Obama we never knew existed, and that is the non-Messiah.
The pragmatic.
Um what was the word he c uh well, a guy who'll just go along to get something done.
We've we've we've not seen that Obama before, a little bit disappointed.
I'll get to the actual wording of it uh as the program unfolds.
Now, this morning on Fox and Friends, David Axelrod, uh number one advisor to Obama in the White House, said that this deal had nothing to do with getting Obama re-elected.
He said, and I quote, we just had an election.
We we shouldn't be thinking about the next election.
Now, this is the guy who's leaving the White House at the end of the month to go back to Chicago to start working on the Obama's re-election.
But this had nothing to do.
This the New York Times says this deal started with Biden talking to McConnell.
That's how it all got Biden went to McConnell, and I I do think that there are uh some Republicans, you know, they know the Calvary, a cavalry's coming in January, the conservative uh freshman, they know that the the the a whole different attitude about this is arriving in this in in January.
So the current Republicans, you know, let's just get this done now.
Let's just get it done now.
Let's not ruffle a lot of feathers, let's just extend the Bush tax rates and uh extend unemployment benefits and and get it all done before the new guys arrive.
Because the new guys are gonna want much, much more.
But if you get this done before the new guys arrive, then the new guys have it even tougher.
But if the deal is not done, the new guys, the the uh cavalry, well, they got a chance to play a much larger role.
So bite me goes to McConnell, according to the New York Times, and that's how the deal uh gets put together.
Now, Obama, for his part keeps insisting that he just tried to help the American economy.
Just like when he gave most of the stimulus money to public sector unions, just like when he banned oil drilling for seven years, defying court orders in the process, just like when he tried to ram through cap and trade.
He's just trying to help the American economy, right?
He's not trying to help anybody but himself.
He's not trying to help the American economy.
If he was trying to help the American economy, he wouldn't be doing anything that he's doing.
He would have learned that what he's tried has failed and he'd be reversing it if he really cared about the American economy.
He doesn't even care about the far left fringe.
They always thought he did.
They're running around saying, yeah, we thought he was a Messiah.
Hey, that's your problem, not his.
If you're stupid enough to fall for you, if you're stupid enough to think that a mortal human being is actually messianic.
It's not, it's not his fault.
It's yours.
Even laughing all the way to the bank about it.
I can see I've sitting there with Axel Rod and Valerie Jarrett talking, hey, yo, actually I'm good.
I mean, I'm close, I'm close, but I actually think I'm one.
If I'd been in a meeting, I would say, Mr. President, God is very busy right now, and I wouldn't belabor him with some of your irrelevant ideas.
And by the way, have you noticed?
I love this.
The media, the rest of the Democrats are suddenly asking where the revenue is going to come from to pay for tax extension for the rich.
It's like F. Chuck Todd yesterday worrying about, well, where's how much is this going to cost the uh treasury?
How much is it going to cost the government?
I love these guys all of a sudden, worrying about where the money's gonna come from.
Did they did they ask where the revenue was gonna come from with the stimulus bill?
Did they ask where the revenue was gonna come from for the bailout of his UAW buddies at General Motors and Chrysler?
They wonder who's gonna pay for the subsidizing of the Chevy Vault.
They wonder where the revenue was gonna come from for the bailout of his Wall Street buddies.
And that's another thing.
I'm just, you know, words mean things to me.
I live in real Literville.
And to listen, I mean, I've watched Bob Beckle on Fox, maybe his last night the night before.
He's upset because the guys who caused the problem are getting an extension of their tax rates.
That's it.
Wall Street.
Is that Wall Street caused the problem?
Now I don't doubt that there are a bunch of lib Democrats on Wall Street who contributed to it, but but this problem that they constantly refer to, the economic client, that's subprime mortgage.
And only the ignorant and uninformed could be convinced that that was a pure and simple exclusive Wall Street deal.
That was the government starting with Clinton telling Wall Street and the banks what they had to do or else they'd be investigated.
Now you and I know this.
I've repeated this a number of times.
But anything they can come up with, pure class envy.
They just that and and uh income redistribution, wealth redistribution, they just can't get past it.
Where was the where's the revenue gonna come from?
Uh for unemployment benefits extensions.
You know, this is gonna be the sixth extension in two years.
In 2008.
And you know, the I don't want to offend the whole segment of the audience, but I've talked to some women who say, Rice, you gotta back off on this unemployment because it's Christmas time.
There aren't any jobs out there.
We love our fellow Americans.
It'd be one thing if there were jobs, and we uh stood for the elimination of these extensions.
But there aren't any jobs to be had because of Obama, the Democrats.
The only way these people are gonna be able to live is if we extend their unemployment coming out.
I said, But this six times in two years.
It doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter to him.
Six times six extensions in two years doesn't matter to him.
It's Christmas time.
See, and this is exactly why the timing of this is what it is.
It's to get to a certain segment of the voting populace.
Did you see Oprah yesterday?
Did you hear about Oprah yesterday?
Well, she was Barbara Walters.
You know, one of one of my theory about Oprah always been.
Sturdle, you know, you've been listening to me since the beginning.
My theory is an Oprah where she is because she cries.
Cries a lot.
Well, the river of tears flowed yesterday.
Barbara Walters asked her if she was a lesbian.
And she says she's not a lesbian.
Here, let me find the soundbite.
It's somewhere in the I got a lot.
All right, here it is.
Number 27 and 28.
Let me find the transcript so I can uh I gotta read along as we go here.
Yep.
Okay, here is the the question from Barbara Walters.
Gail King, a lot of women have close friends, very few as close as yours.
Describe that friendship to me.
Oh, okay.
She is the mother I never had.
She is the sister everybody would want.
She is the friend that everybody deserves.
Oh.
I don't know.
A better person.
Why is it making you cry?
Shoot.
Wasn't gonna cry here.
It's making me cry because I'm thinking about how much uh I probably have never told her that.
Tissue, please.
I now need tissue.
Oh.
Oh, see, it just she broke down out there talking about Gail King.
So during the interview, Barbara Walter says, so when these dumb rumors come up that that you're gay, that you are a lesbo, what do you say?
I have said uh we are not gay enough times.
I'm not lesbian.
I'm not even kinda lesbian, and the reason why it irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I'm lying.
Well, what's so bad about being a lesbian?
What's wrong with that?
You know, she's pretty forceful here.
I'm not gay.
I've said that enough times.
I'm not lesbian, I'm even kind of lesbian.
Okay, we get it.
Uh Barbara didn't ask her out.
I don't, but I don't I what what what's what's so bad about being a lesbian?
Before we get to the um before we get to the analysis of the presser yesterday, grab audio sound bite number three.
This is I I didn't know myself that this had happened.
But this is from uh live with Regis and Kelly yesterday.
They're having a discussion with the executive producer, Michael Gelman about the possibility of me filling in for Regis.
Wouldn't it be funny if Rush Limbaugh won this uh contest to sit here with her?
Uh he's been nominated.
He's been nominated?
Yeah.
That doesn't mean he wants to.
That means someone else nominated him.
He may not want to.
Oh, they can turn you down if they win.
Of course.
So there's a obviously some kind of uh contest going on to sit in for Regis.
When he's gone, and somebody has nominated me to sit in there and host that program.
Did you do that, Snertley?
Uh Kelly Kelly Ripper, yeah.
She she's she's cute, yeah.
She's cute.
It's not listen, you are juvenile, snurdly.
He says, she cute, yeah.
Well, then do it.
Whoa.
Anyway, I um I had no clue.
Also, Sheila Jackson Lee, fresh off asking NASA if the rover, Mars Rover would run into the flag astronauts planted there, was on the Fox Business Network Bulls and Bears program.
And uh David Asman, a co-host, said, You think this agreement with Republicans is uh causing Obama to leave his principles behind?
We're going to be unhappy about this seemingly unnecessary tax cut for the two percent of Americans.
Many of us are unhappy.
The extension of the unemployment benefits so needed by those who are unemployed, tax cuts from the middle class, enough for us to say we will do it this time, but it'll be a real bloody fight.
The real question is what will the rich people let me not focus on people, but let's focus on corporations.
What will they do for America?
What jobs will they create with this tax benefit?
What will the likes of Rush Limbaugh get a big tax cut Do to reinvest their dollars to help build America.
What an idiot.
First place, she's now made me a corporation.
Let's not talk about people.
Let's not talk about people.
Let's let's focus not on people, let's focus on corporations.
What were the likes of Rush Limbaugh?
Um got a big sh I wonder if if I sent her just a daily activity list of all the people in my life and all the things they do and what they get paid.
I wonder if it would have any impact.
I wonder if it would you always hold out hope.
Would it open her eyes or her mind?
Would a bright light get turned on and somewhere in the brain go, ooh, yeah.
Is she really this ignorant about how economic activity takes place?
Uh what will it like to rush limbo get a big tax cut do to invest their dollars to help build America?
What she's uh you know what her point is is that I won't build a highway.
Or I will not rebuild a school.
Or that I uh will not build a water treatment center.
So they the great things that government does.
That's what I believe that she is.
I would if I needed one.
Uh now that is her point.
She's that she's she does believe, just like Obama has said, that the wealthy will not build what's necessary for other people.
They will not build roads and highways, they won't build runways, they won't refurbish schools.
Government has to do this with money taken from people.
The richer selfish.
Uh she's that I'm convinced that that's what she thinks and uh what she believes.
All right, quick timeout here, folks.
We have only just begin.
It's already Wednesday.
I mean, this is a fastest three hours.
We got an we got another NFL game tomorrow night.
We have the Indianapolis Colts, and I think I think it's Texas.
The uh Houston Texans.
Anyway, we'll be back.
Sit tight and don't go anywhere.
It's a Colts at the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night, not the uh Houston Texans.
Colts are six and six.
And Peyton Manning has thrown eleven touchdown passes in the last two games.
Uh four of them to the other team.
And that's strange.
I mean, it's just everybody's what's happened to Peyton Manning?
What's going wrong with Peyton Manning?
Is there something off the field going on that we don't know about?
Hmm.
Because it's such a stark difference.
Sheila Jackson Lee.
You know, talking about money is a very uncouth thing to do.
Not classy at all.
But boy, would I I don't even no, no, I got the idea that wonders what I people like me do for the economy.
All I can say is she would be stunned.
She'd be absolutely stunned.
Somebody needs to tell her, somebody needs to ask Sheila Jackson Lee how many jobs were saved and created over the last ten years thanks to the Bush tax cuts.
Do you know for 53 months in a row this country created jobs after the Bush tax cuts went into law after they were signed into law.
Fifty three months in a row.
The Democrats take over, and we have lost jobs every month.
And it's a significant number.
Our official climatologist, Dr. Roy Spencer, University of Alabama at Huntsville is in Cancun in Mexico.
There's a global warming United Nations conference going on there.
And he is sending in dispatch uh reports to me every day.
He says he got two two notes for me today, the fourth record low in a row in Cancun this morning, 50 degrees.
50 degrees, the fourth record low they've set this week.
They're in a global warming conference.
Fort Lauderdale, I know, Fort Lauderdale, broke a 136-year-old record for cold last night or the night before.
There is a freeze warning for South Florida because of crops.
A bunch of beans were lost, have been lost because of cold weather.
And uh uh Lord Moncton is over in Cancun.
He's there at the global warming summit.
He's seen a draft version of the final agreement.
Obama is selling us out, agreeing to as much as a one and a half percent of GDP transfer of wealth every year to the United Nations to fight climate change.
More coming up.
Manheim steamroller, we put our Christmas tree up yesterday afternoon or last night, strung the lights up there, hung the ornaments, took some pictures with uh with the animals.
I'm I'm I'm pondering whether or not send some of the pictures of me with the dogs and a cat up to the website.
I'm thinking about it.
I might do it.
We had Christmas music playing throughout the House while we were doing all this.
It was very, very Christmasy into the spirit.
Great to have you back, Rush Limbaugh here at 800-282-2882.
We're gonna get to the Obama sound bites here in just a moment.
A couple of things I want to do is set the table, but again, do just tell you this while we're sitting up here in America debating tax rates, all the other things on the table here, the left going bananas, uh, Obama having a wet diaper moment yesterday in the press conference and so forth.
Down in Cancun, the UN is having another climate summit, global warming summit.
Our official climatologist, Dr. Roy Spencer, is there.
He has talked to Lord Moncton.
Lord Moncton is a big time realist denier.
There is no man-made global warming.
There might not be any global warming, period.
He has seen, Lord Moncton has seen the draft version of the final agreement to come out of this summit, and Obama is selling us out.
Obama, the U.S. delegation has agreed to as much as a one and a half percent of GDP transfer of wealth every year to the United Nations.
This, of course, above and beyond the dues that we pay.
And this has always been the objective.
Fleece the United States.
This is just a starting number, one and a half percent.
This is all being done behind closed doors.
Lord Moncton says that the wording of the agreement is in bureaucrat ease.
It's uh such such terms as capacity building by the UN means forming more bureaucracies.
Uh mere mortals reading it, don't see anything alarming.
Lord Moncton does, where all the money will go to help climate change is not explicitly spelled out, so it doesn't have to go to climate change.
We're just gonna fork over one and a half percent of our GDP, which we don't have the money.
You talk about where are we gonna get the revenue to pay for this?
Where are we gonna get the revenue to send one and a half of our GDP?
One and a half percent of our GDP to the U.N. So it's starting.
I don't know if there's going to be a congressional vote on this.
This is one of the things that many Obama supporters are urging him to do by executive fiat.
Also, the Democrats have now offered a budget.
David Obey has offered a budget which will freeze all cabinet levels.
Uh, and it will freeze elements of congressional spending.
The real purpose, and it's unconscionable.
This is a pure political moment.
They have not submitted a budget.
They didn't want to deal with the budget prior to the election.
They didn't want voters to find out what they were all about as far as spending, tax increases and all that are concerned.
What they're really doing by submitting this budget, they're trying to head off Republicans at the pass.
The budget process, because the Democrats did not do one, because and that which is required by law.
You're required by law to have a budget every October 1st, the beginning of each fiscal year in this country.
They didn't.
The Republican effort to repeal Obamacare will take place as the budget is written and put together.
It is there that bills to defund.
And what'll happen is there'll be an overall piece of legislation to repeal all of health care.
It'll pass the House.
It won't pass the Senate.
But even if it did, send it up to Obama and make him defend it.
He'll veto it.
There's not the votes override.
When that happens, and I would do it repeatedly.
I would I would make the Democrats defend this in the Senate every day, every week.
I would send a full repeal bill up there at the same time.
Use the budget process, because by law there has to be one.
Use the budget process to include the defunding of elements of health care.
Get started with it.
Now the Democrats know that this is a distinct possibility.
This is how the Republicans could do this.
It's like the Democrats are doing now.
They're putting all budget matters in one piece of legislation.
And that's not how budgets get put together.
Normally, but they're trying to head the Republicans off of the past.
So this will not work.
This is not going to get passed and signed by the president before the uh well, it could, depending on when Congress leaves and if they come back before the new Congress sworn in in January.
Could very well.
But still the odds are they're not going to be able to get it done.
But there way the Republicans can go with this.
It has to be a budget.
Make Obama veto elements of the budget.
Because elements of the budget will have legislation to defund parts of health care.
This is what I would do.
Were I running the show on Capitol Hill for Republicans?
Now, this could lead to a government shutdown because Obama's going to keep vetoing all this.
He'll veto every budget resolution that comes up there that contains anything that defunds his precious health care, which could lead to a government shutdown.
If it did, we'd win it this time.
Because we got the cavalry coming in in jail.
We've got, we're going to have an entirely different, entirely new makeup in the House of Representatives.
Leadership is going to be the same, but we're going to have some new people in there.
Tea Party type people, rock solid conservatives who will be unafraid to go out to cameras and microphones and explain honestly and fully what's going on and why.
And they will be explaining to people I'm just doing what I was sent here to do.
I heard the people who elected me.
I heard the people who voted for me.
I'm simply here.
They want health care repealed, as does a majority of the American people.
We are here to begin that process.
That's all it's going to take.
Now, Republican leadership in the House and Senate is going to be squeamish about this.
My prediction.
They're going to be squeamish, and they're going to want to upset any Apple carts here.
But upsetting the Apple cart is what the American people want.
That is what they voted for.
And the new arrivals will find some allies.
Michelle Bachman, Jim Dement, uh Pence, there'll be a whole bunch of allies that they'll find in the House particularly.
Jim Dement in the Senate, maybe a couple of others.
And then it's going to be fun to watch, but this is how the process to repeal slash defundacare starts, and it's all because the opportunity exists because the Democrats set aside doing a budget.
A lot of people wanted to know in my email last night, why?
Didn't the Democrats use reconciliation?
I mean, they were going to use recon 51 votes.
Why didn't they use reconciliation to oppose the tax deal in the Senate?
What why was Obama's up there complaining and moaning he couldn't get the Democrats in the Senate, he couldn't get Republicans in the Senate to go along with his view of things?
People say, why didn't he do reconciliation?
Because there's not a budget.
So you live by the trick and you die by it.
In this case, the Democrats couldn't use budget reconciliation because there's no budget.
We're running on temporary spending bills to keep the government going.
I think the most recent one has us funded through December 17th.
But there's no budget.
So there's nothing to reconcile.
They would have had they passed a budget if they had to go to reconciliation just like they were prepared to with the with health care.
They would have done so.
They were unable.
Okay, we come back, and we're going to start at the end.
I'll play a soundbite of the wet diaper, dirty diaper press conference yesterday where Obama melted down at the end.
And we're back, El Rushbow, half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.
According to the Hill.com, uh the the Obi presentation is not a budget.
It is a continuing resolution that'll fund the government until September 30th of next year, which is what the budget does time-wise.
Looks like they might never pass a real budget.
The Democrats, Republicans are gonna do believe me, folks, the budget is the vehicle.
The budget process will be the vehicle for defunding and repealing parts of Obamacare.
Speaking of all that, look, by the way, at Dingy Harry.
Dingy Harry in the Senate is pushing the DREAM Act.
He's pushing online gambling.
The guy is using the Senate as his personal empire to pay back those who supported his reelection.
And the media say nothing about this.
Is this is this not corruption of a kind?
It most definitely is.
His first priority, dingy hairy, it isn't jobs.
It's not tax rates.
It's not the economy generally, it's his paybacks.
Dream Act for the middle class Harry, online gambling for the middle class Harry.
This is the nation's priority, Harry.
Online gambling might be.
Well, it is what it is.
And I'm sitting here today, I'm not convinced this deal is going to hold.
I'm not convinced that it's...
Let me put it this way, I won't be surprised if it falls apart.
It could fall apart over the death tax, surprisingly.
It could fall apart...
If Obama, I mean, they melted the White House phone lines.
He knows full well that he had a meltdown yesterday.
Let's go to the audio sound bites.
This is QA.
During the QA, Wall Street Journal's Jonathan Weissman said some on the left have looked at this deal and they've questioned what your core values are.
Now, this he has never been asked this question by the state-controlled media.
What happened in there yesterday?
I watched it toward the end of the program during commercial breaks.
I was reporting to you, and he was livid.
And they were disrespectful in the sense that gone was Mr. Messiah.
And so when Weisman says here, uh some on the left have looked at this deal and questioned what your core values are.
What he's really saying is, I am wondering what your core values are.
That's a the simplest cop-out, cowardly way to ask a question is to dump it on the proverbial sum on the left or others are saying.
What specifically are your core values?
What specifically will you go to the MAT on?
People are asking.
I wonder, Mr. President, if you can reassure them with some specific things in saying, all right, this is where I don't budge.
The media was desperate to help him yesterday.
They were desperate to find out.
Come on, man, we made you who you are.
We're the ones who lied about you and everybody.
We're the ones that built you up.
You gotta have our back, man.
We're the one that told everybody you were the Messiah, that you were different, that you were new, that we had never had anybody in politics like you, that you were postpartisan, post-racial, and you are embarrassing us, and you are letting us down.
You better answer our questions and tell us what it is you stand for, bud.
Where are you going to go to the mat?
And here is Obama's answer to that.
This is the public option debate all over again.
So I pass a signature piece of legislation where we finally get health care for all Americans, something that Democrats had been fighting for for a hundred years.
But because there was a provision in there that they didn't get that would have affected maybe a couple of million people, even though we got health insurance for 30 million people, and the potential for lower premiums for a hundred million people, that somehow that was a sign of weakness and compromise.
This has been festering.
This tells me that he has been festering, this has been effervescing inside him, that he's unappreciated, that he did something nobody else has done, and they wanted it for a hundred years.
And by golly, he got it.
You know, he didn't get everything he what he got 99%, and they don't appreciate me.
They don't appreciate.
And in a sense, I got a side with him on that.
This health care, I mean, this is he's taken over one-sixth of the U.S. private sector.
This is significant.
This has got to change if America's gonna go back to being the country we all love and knew.
Uh like I keep saying, if I were on the left and I really believe this stuff, I would be as happy as I could be.
Well, they're constitutionally incapable of happiness.
But so let's turn it around.
If I'm conservative, which I am, and one of our guys gets elected president and gets as much done in two years for our side as this guy's done for the left, we would be throwing parties.
We would not be angry.
This is so I I can I can understand why he's ticked off.
But Mr. President and all you people, you gotta you know this.
You're a lib.
Nothing's ever good enough for you.
No matter what you get, it's never enough.
You should know this.
The left always wants more.
And then he continued with this.
He continued lecturing Democrats, calls them sanctimonious.
If that's the standard by which we are measuring success or core principles, then let's face it, we will never get anything done.
People will have the satisfaction of having a purist position and no victories for the American people.
And we will be able to feel good about ourselves and sanctimonious about how pure our intentions are and how tough we are.
And in the meantime, the American people are still saying themselves not able to get health insurance because of pre-existing condition, or not being able to pay their bills because their unemployment insurance ran out.
That can't be the measure of how we think about our public service.
That can't be the measure of what it means to be a Democrat.
So he's essentially telling them look, I gotta back off on some of this stuff if we're to get anything done.
And that's that infuriated him even more because the question was where are you gonna go to the mat?
What are your core values?
You know, and he withered.
He caved.
And that made them any angrier or even angrier.
I know it's it's hard to comprehend.
But these people on the left, they are truly enraged.
It is a lifestyle.
They are never happy.
They are constantly.
I'm I looked at the comments on the Daily Cause website.
They're hilarious.
But they're real.
And it went on for 10 pages.
I mean, they are just fit to be tied because Obama is not what they thought he was, which again I I maintain is their problem, not his.
He's been uh well, innocent.
I know he's he's made this promise that the the rich would have their taxes increased when the Bush tax rates expired, and he made that promise ten or twelve times.
And now he's just kind of punted on it.
So in that sense, I do understand their rage happened to us.
Read my lips, no new taxes, and then we got new taxes with uh Bush 41, but they're truly enraged.
More so each and every day, and more so with every answer he gives.
We have some great phone calls.
People on hold on the uh on a call roster up there.
So we'll get to you early in the next hour.
We have more audio sound bites from the from the wet diaper meltdown press conference yesterday conducted by Obama, which was timed.
I mean it started at 210 and ended right when this show ended.
