Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 Podcast.
Well, it's time, ladies and gentlemen, time for Obama Truth of Life, undeniable truth of life number 24, and that is ours is a world governed by the aggressive use of speeches.
Yes, Obama has spoken up about North Korea firing on South Korea.
And he has said that they have failed to live up to their obligations.
That's really tough.
That's right, he said North Korea has failed to live up to its obligations.
I wonder if the I wonder if they bothered calling him at 3 a.m.
It's four o'clock.
They called him at 4 a.m. and he did he did take the call.
They woke him up.
They woke up.
Did he wake up and say, okay?
Oh, okay, and go back to bed or what did he do?
Uh strongly condemned it.
Yeah, that's right.
The uh situation, North and South Korea is about to get out of hand, and there's only one thing to do, and that's a Cairo-type speech.
Ours is a world governed by the aggressive use of words.
Speeches except in America, where um ours is a world governed by the excessive use of gropes.
I've been thinking about this, and I I got a note today not long ago before the program started, which ignited my brain cells.
I want to read to you this note.
And from this note, I started jotting down monologue outline notes.
Dear Rush, the effect of the TSA groping policy is to convince the Islamic world where even touching a woman is a grave insult to a family's honor.
TSA groping policy is to convince the Islamic world that Americans are dishonorable, degenerate, and cowardly.
The fact that Americans will allow their women and children and elderly to be treated this way, and the fact it can be accomplished by merely launching a few bombers with TNT in their underpants or in their car trunks shows the entire Middle East that America, whatever its organized military might, is a society ready to do anything to avoid even the smallest risk.
The media that treat the TSA's behavior as just a sensational tabloid curiosity entirely missed the point.
What's going on in the airports probably does more to weaken America's credibility in the Muslim world than anything that's happened since 9-11.
A country this vulnerable is a country that in Islamic fundamentalist eyes is in the process of surrendering.
And let's review.
Let's review here.
Young male Muslim Arabs used box cutters on 9-11.
So now everyone has to be checked for sharp objects.
Young male Muslim Arabs have tried to get liquid explosives in on airplanes.
So now everybody has to be checked for liquids.
A young male Muslim Arab put explosives in his underwear, so now everybody has to check, be checked for explosives in their underwear.
We are not checking for terrorists.
We are checking for things.
Long after we have discovered the things, so therefore they're not going to be used again because the enemy knows we've already discovered them.
So we're not even checking for terrorists, we're checking for things.
And as the note that I received said, the real danger of all this is that shows the Muslim world that we'll treat our own people like dog do-do to avoid even the smallest risk.
Treat them like garden variety criminals.
When captured after murdering hundreds of people, but put the rest of us through humiliation.
We capture these guys that do mass murder, and we treat them as garden variety.
We make sure they have their prayer books, we make sure they get to prayer, make sure they get their t-shirts or whatever.
The rest of us get humiliated.
Now, how does that look?
To bin Laden and uh uh uh Al-Waziri, all Zawahiri in their caves laughing.
In two years, let's take stock.
In two years, we are now manhandled at airports.
Health care has been stolen from us.
Our children's futures are being destroyed with third world-like policies.
Private property is taken either directly or through high taxes and overly broad regulations.
This is the face of liberalism.
Or authoritarianism or statism, whatever works for you.
All powerful government, destabilizing society and families, spreading anxiety and misery and poverty.
This is it.
You're looking at it.
Liberalism, the experiment, it's un-American, period.
None of this was going on two years ago.
None of it.
To the degree that it's happening now.
Liberalism is destructive.
Our country's being destroyed.
Liberalism, as I have been pointing out, routinely destroys the individual.
It robs people of their humanity.
Liberalism destroys economic security.
Liberalism destroys institutions.
It replaces that which works with that which doesn't.
And its proponents are liars.
Liberalism has to lie.
Liberals have to lie in order to be elected to power.
If Obama had ever campaigned on the notion that all of this was going to happen, he wouldn't have gotten more than 20% of the vote.
Now we're supposed to sit back and accept all this because, well, the liberals have good intentions, a war on poverty and the uh civil rights uh legislation in the 60s, uh and the great society, all these great intentions.
Well, I don't care if they have good or bad intentions.
To me, it's beside the point.
They are destructive.
We we're careful about how we fight wars against those who kill 3,000 of our fellow citizens and thousands of our soldiers, not wanting to offend or upset them.
We proceed with caution.
But American citizens are being manhandled at the airports.
Is this what 9-11 was all about?
Is this what we learned from 9-11?
That we are the enemy?
And somehow we have to be manhandled?
And what does this again show the people in Arab Middle East?
What does it show?
It it showed that we are on the brink of surrender.
That's what they see.
Islamic fundamentalists see that we are in the process of surrendering.
We are weakening our own credibility.
We've become a laughing stock.
What's happening in our health care says?
Look at the they've taken our doctors, our health care policies from us.
They take our money from us to pay off their political friends and allies, i.e., the stimulus, the slush fund.
They steal our property from us in the name of the environment.
They destroy enterprises of all sizes in the name of sticking it to the rich.
And what do we have to show for it?
Who, ladies and gentlemen, is benefiting from any of this?
Who is benefiting from all of it?
I ask a simple question.
Who is benefiting?
Politicians, except Wrangell, and perhaps Maxine Waters down the road, the bureaucracy, special interest groups, unions.
They are who are benefiting from all of this authoritarianism.
The individual is not.
The people who make the country work are not benefiting from any of this.
We are the ones losing everything we have, everything we've worked for.
It is being taken from us under the guise that we don't deserve it.
That we've somehow stolen it.
Or come by it by way of ill-gotten means.
You want to see authoritarianism, go to the airport today.
You want to see authoritarianism, go try and get a home loan today.
You want to see authoritarianism, try get a basic health care policy for your son or daughter at college.
Look at this.
This is from the New York Times.
New rules tell insurers spend more on care.
The Obama administration issued new federal rules yesterday, new federal rules that will require private sector health insurance companies to spend more on medical care and allocate less to profits, less to executive compensation, less to marketing and overhead expense.
We knew this was coming.
This is not a surprise.
They telegraphed it.
They said this was going to happen.
Some Americans applauded because they hate the insurance companies, just like they hate big oil, big retail, big pharmaceutical, big whatever, because the American left has done whatever it can to foment this hate.
And Obama says this is justified because this will take billions of dollars out of the evil insurance companies' pockets and put it into the people's pockets.
So, if now somebody steps up and tries to stop this, then the regime will say that you are taking billions away from the people.
This is this is a typical traditional ploy of tin horn dictators everywhere throughout the world, like Hugo Chavez.
So the regime today simply issues an executive order and says you are going to spend less.
You're going to take less profit, you're going to take less to spend on marketing and so forth, and you are going to spend more on health care.
The rules intended to benefit consumers...
Vastly expand federal authority to direct the use of premiums.
This is a jubilant report by the New York Times is ecstatic about this.
Vastly expand federal authority to direct the use of premiums collected by companies like Aetna, Humana, United Health, and Wellpoint.
While some states have had such requirements, Monday's announcements, the first such mandate by the federal government, and grows out of the new national health care law.
Yeah, so we might be distracted by uh Pat Downs dancing with the stars or what have you, but Mr. Obama and his minions never rest.
They're simply relentless in their efforts to take over every aspect of our economy and our lives.
Kathleen Sibelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, said in issuing the rules, millions of Americans will get better value for their health insurance premium dollar because of our actions today.
She said the rules would protect nearly 75 million people, 10.6 million with individual policies, 24.2 million with small group coverage, and 40 million covered by large employers.
Of course, anybody who contributed to or worked for Mr. Obama or any other Democrats re-election, welcome to apply for a secret waiver.
Don't doubt for a moment that friends of Obama will be granted secret waivers.
If there are any in the insurance business.
So folks, we are witnessing right in front of our eyes at the airport every day.
And if we care to look away while we're being distracted there, our health care is being taken from us.
Our doctors are being taken from us in two years, manhandled at airports, health care being stolen from us, children's futures being destroyed with third world-like policies.
Private property is taken either directly or through high taxes and overly broad regulations.
This is the real face of the Democrat Party.
This is the real face of authoritarianism.
This is the real face of liberalism.
and it is on American.
Seniors on Medicare are being turned away by doctors because Medicare funds have been siphoned off to cover more Medicaid patients because Medicare patients are going to die Hello death panels, ration.
Medicaid, poor and young.
They will vote a lot more often in the rest of their lives than the elderly will.
So seniors seasoned to citizens on Medicare being turned away by doctors because Medicare funds have been siphoned off to cover more Medicaid for the poor.
Now, these people, Medicaid recipients, paid little or nothing into the medical system.
Doctors are being ripped off for their services, they're being told to take 20 cents on the dollar.
Small insurance companies and hospitals and banks.
There's a story 5,000 banks are going to shut down.
The federal government going to shut down 5,000 banks in bank deserts.
Just like we got food desert, we're going to have bank deserts out.
They're shutting down 5,000 small banks.
All of these things being consolidated under health care and financial reform.
The insurance companies going kaput, hospitals and banks going out of business, hello financial regulatory reform and Obamacare.
All of this is killing competition.
It's killing choices and making it easier for the federal government to control these industries and impose its dictates.
This is liberalism.
Nothing more than big government statism.
And despite all the caterwalling and despite all the PR and packaging, liberalism is not about people.
It's about government.
At every turn, the liberals'agenda involves more government.
They hate the private sector.
They smear the private sector and people in it.
They seek to control the private sector, and if they can't control it, they'll kill it off.
Who regulates the regulators?
Who gets to tell the people working for Obama that they're overstepping their bounds?
Who?
Who legislates against the legislature?
Nobody.
Go to the airport.
You are witnessing the destruction of your country and the rejection of individual liberty.
And in the Middle East, Arab Muslim males are excited and laughing.
Look at what they're causing.
And meanwhile, all of this has failed to capture even one terrorist.
And look what's happening to the American people.
The Fort Hood bomber treated with respect.
Might be a mental illness.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed put him on trial.
Treat him like garden variety criminals.
After they've murdered thousands of people.
The rest of us are humiliated.
Every day.
In practically every walk of life.
Back after this.
And have you heard about the fake Taliban negotiator?
Oh, folks, this is incredible.
Again from the New York Times.
For months, the secret talks unfolding between Taliban and Afghan leaders to end the war in Afghanistan appear to be showing progress.
If only because of the repeated appearance of a certain insurgent leader at one end of the table, Mullah Akhtar Mohammed Mansour, one of the most senior commanders in the Taliban movement.
But now it turns out Mr. Mansour was not Mr. Mansour.
He was a fraud.
He was an imposter.
United States and Afghan officials now say that Mullah Mansoor was an imposter and high-level discussions conducted with the assistance of NATO.
That means us appear to have achieved nothing.
It's not him, said a Western diplomat in Kabul, intimately involved in the discussions.
And we gave him a lot of money.
American officials confirmed Monday they had given up hope that the Afghan was Mr. Mansoor or even a member of the Taliban leadership.
He was a total fraud.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the sequel to the movie, Catch Me If You Can.
Remember that guy who impersonated airline captains and yacht captains and everything.
Look at this, the sequel.
American officials confirmed Monday they had given up hope that the Afghan was Mr. Mansoor.
NATO and Afghan officials said they held three meetings with the men who traveled from across the border in Pakistan where Taliban leaders have taken refuge.
The fake Taliban leader even met with President Hamid Karazai, having been flown to Kabul on a NATO aircraft and ushered into the presidential palace.
The imposter got into the equivalent of the White House in Afghanistan.
Did they not ask this guy for some kind of identification?
They clearly didn't.
They clearly didn't ask this guy for his birth certificate.
How in the world, how in the world could they trust a leader and even give money to somebody who has not been properly vetted?
Oh.
Well, because it happened here in the United States.
We have an imposter for all intents and purposes.
Serving in the White House.
We'll be back.
Pentagon says it's too soon to say how the United States might deter a North Korean attack.
Too soon to say.
What have we been doing for the last 50 years in preparing for a potential attack on South Korea from North Korea?
And I'll tell you what else to keep a sharp eye out for.
And that's the ChICOMs making a move on Formosa.
Taiwan, they want it back.
You know, I've asked people, why do they care?
It's a tiny little island.
No threat posed to the mainland by...
Taiwan.
And Chicom experts tell me it's a matter of face.
Saving face.
The Chiccoms are going to get that island back regardless.
It don't matter.
It could be inconsequential as a matter of saving face.
Respect or what have you.
And I'll tell you something else.
My best guess is, and of course I'm a pretty good best guesser.
My best guess is they're going to do this, make a move on Foremosa before Obama is out of orifice.
And the way things are going, Obama's going to be out of orifice in a couple of years.
Hopefully, theoretically.
So here we're going to do nothing for formulating our plans.
What are we going to do?
This guy going to do anything?
Obama going to do anything about it?
You think Obama would do anything, even though we have a treaty, even though we have promised the Taiwanese?
You think Obama would actually do anything if the Tricoms make a move?
That contrail of a jet.
No way.
Folks, I'm telling you, I've thought about this, I've looked at all of the things.
I've talked to experts.
A jet contrail.
No, that was a missile.
And it was a message.
And now, you know, I I just I look at what's happened to this country in two years.
And a lot of it is stuff that I would have said to people, nah, it'll never happen.
This much loss of liberty, the crashing of the housing market, the indebtedness, loss of private property rights.
witnessing the destruction of our country.
We're witnessing the rejection, the assault on individual liberty, right in front of our eyes.
Go to the airport.
You see it.
*Sigh*
And even that's all a trick.
That's designed to get us to agree to go to these scanners.
Meanwhile, the people perpetrating these crimes are ignored.
Don't want to hurt their feelings.
The rest of us are humiliated.
Those of us who love our country haven't done a damn thing to it.
Are humiliated.
Our children.
Three years old, strip searched.
Now we want strong security.
No question.
Very strong security.
But this is not security at the airports.
This is harassment.
Pure simple harassment.
This is the regime telling us our future.
This is the regime telling us what it's going to be like.
And it's interesting that it's uh happened only in the last several months, isn't it?
Last several weeks, actually.
The same regime that refuses to try a terrorist who murdered hundreds of people in a military tribunal, goes to a civilian court, and who averted a catastrophe by a single guilty verdict and was found innocent or not guilty on two hundred and forty-seven charges.
A government that refuses to try a suspect like that in a military tribunal cannot said to be serious about security.
Everything's for show.
The regime says, don't worry about it, we're never going to let the guy go.
Well, then why have the trial?
If the guy had been exonerated, found not guilty in all charges, and we're not going to let him go.
What does it say about the vaunted American judicial system to Middle Eastern Arab males?
What does it say?
Why do we care what they think about our judicial system anyway?
What the hell?
When did this become a measure of American might power?
All this restraint.
Middle Eastern Arab males kill 3,000 Americans on one day, have killed numerous thousands of soldiers and Americans over decades.
And innocent American citizens are humiliated at airport checkpoints.
We treat mass murdering pieces of human debris with kid gloves.
Law-abiding passengers are treated as legitimate genuine murder suspects.
You cannot tell me this regime is serious about security.
That's not what is going on at the airport.
What's going on at the airport is the humiliation of the American people, and it is sending a signal of a weakened America, no credibility in the Muslim world.
We're sending a message that we are a vulnerable country in the process of surrendering.
That is how they're going to see it.
Whether we are in the process of surrendering or not, that's how they will see this.
Look at it through their eyes.
They hijack three or four airplanes.
They murder 3,000 Americans.
Two years later.
Well, ten years later, nine years later, the American people are strip-searched, groped, accused, harassed at our own airports.
And they sit in their caves or wherever they are, these Middle Eastern Arab males, and they gotta be yucking it up and laughing and planning further attacks, further efforts that will handcuff American society even further.
Now, don't misunderstand me, there ought to be screenings and scanners and you know, even even pat downs, but not like this.
Not when we know who the enemy is.
We know their approximate ages.
We know who they are, we know what they look like.
We know what national origins most of them come from.
We know these things.
That's why we have intelligence agencies.
Those agencies profile those countries all the time.
But for some reason, when it comes to air travel, we are to suspend all logic and reality and pretend that everybody is the same regardless of these factors.
And then we claim to be serious about security.
So again, young male Muslim Arabs use box cutters on 9 11, so now everybody has to be checked for sharp objects.
Young male Muslim Arabs have tried to get liquid explosives on airplanes, so now everybody has to be checked for liquids.
You have to empty your shampoo for crying out loud.
Young male Muslim Arab puts explosives in his underwear.
Now everybody has to be groped.
We're missing the obvious thing to check for.
And I'll tell you this, Obama and his family will never experience any of these hardships that he is imposing on the rest of us.
Neither will Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reed.
They don't fly commercial.
They're already very wealthy.
Their children will be cared for.
Haves and have nots is no longer the rich and poor, have and have nots.
Those who are working for the government and run the government and those who don't.
As to be said, ladies and gentlemen, we are treating terrorists with kid gloves, and we are treating innocent American citizens with rubber gloves at the airport.
Kid gloves versus rubber gloves.
Now think about this imposter.
I can't, I can't let go of this.
We actually had negotiations and had this imposter, this fake Taliban guy, in the house where Hamid Karzai, head honcho of Afghanistan.
I've been in that house.
I had a sit down with Mary Mandelin.
I couldn't the security to get in there.
You know, you can imagine what it is.
I got checked, checked my ID, and I was with the State Department on this trip.
How does this guy get in there?
Do you realize that if this Taliban leader had tried to buy antihistamines from a local PX or a CVX or any kind of drugstore, he would have had to produce a photo ID.
Not to vote, and not to be president, but to buy antihistamines, but to somehow become a negotiator representing the Taliban.
Do we not even know what the guy looks like?
What is the purpose of we obviously he used a name that we knew?
Do we not have a face that goes with the name?
Don't give me that.
Don't give me the they all look alike excuse.
I'm not gonna.
This is the United States intelligence agencies we're talking about.
And we gave him millions of dollars to entice him to go back to the Taliban and say, let's call it all off.
Let's just live in peace together.
Millions of dollars.
We told him our plans for the region, and this guy gets a pass.
Then we got dancing with the stars out there, and everybody's whining and moaning Bristol Palin, the least qualified dancer.
She better not win.
We got the least qualified presidential candidate elected by the American people in 2008.
Why the hell can't we have the least qualified dancer elected on dancing with the stars?
Which is the greater risk.
The least qualified presidential candidate is elected by the American people.
And now everybody's whining and moaning, but the lace, the least qualified dancer on Dancing with the Stars might win.
Well, she came in third, like everybody expected to.
She came in third, and I watched the show last night, and the judges and everybody just went out of their way to praise her first effort.
Oh, we finally, after all these weeks, you finally have come out of your show.
You really did what we want.
And she got her first nine, a couple of nines and an eight, I think.
And then the other two came out and blew her away, tens and nines and so forth, Jennifer Gray and Kyle Massey.
And the judges made clear that it's Jennifer Gray.
In their minds, it isn't even close.
Jennifer Gray, who was a dancer in a movie.
And I thought that was not permitted.
I thought dancing with the stars, you could Be an entertainer, but you couldn't be a professional dancer.
She got paid for dancing in a movie.
Sarah or Bristol Palin, I say Bristol Palin, not a professional anything.
The true epitome of rank amateur on this show.
Everybody else on this show is, to one degree or another, a professional entertainer and gets paid for it.
So her rise from mediocrity to near greatness is pretty pretty profound.
So that the results are announced tonight in a special two-hour episode.
Well, the voting was last night.
They tabulate the votes and they do the big announcement show, the uh winner will be announced tonight.
Special two-hour episode.
But we we know what's gonna happen.
Yeah, we know full well what's gonna look it.
If Bristol Palin wins, you will not ever again have one Hollywood liberal ever go on this show, because the Hollywood liberal will know he or she will always be beaten by the conservative audience watching the show by voting him or her off in favor of somebody else that they like.
The only way around that is if Dancing with the Stars went out there and had an all-political cast.
Uh in in the next season, or one particular season or what have you.
But, you know, if if if I guarantee you, Brandy's ready to file a lawsuit, I'm just kidding.
If Jennifer Gray or this Kyle Macy don't win this, they're gonna be hell to pay an ABC right in the middle of it.
Oh, there's just...
It's going to be...
If...
*Clears throat*
Yes, everything, everything is out of control.
And it's it's it's it's politics has uh has uh invaded everything, and this is what you get with liberalism.
Liberalism corrupts everything that it touches.
And don't tell me that dancing with the stars have been politicized because Bristol Palin's on it.
Dancing with the stars has been politicized from the get-go because all these guests are liberals, the producers are all the Hollywood left is called the Hollywood left for a reason.
So, anyway, that's that's my guess as to uh as to what'll happen.
Janet Napolitano, who was called on this program yesterday, Janet Incompotano.
Last night on PBS, Charlie Rose show.
Charlie Rose said to Jenna Napolitano, what does the secretary think of the concern?
She is the secretary.
Why didn't he say what do you think of the concern?
She's sitting right there, he says, What does the secretary think of the concern?
Uh well, I I can understand uh why why people uh wonder what is this all about?
What does it mean for me?
I'm a traveler, does it mean I'm gonna be in a long line?
Am I really safer?
And what I say is look, the threat uh is real.
Uh we know that from last Christmas.
The threat is to bring powders or liquids or gels onto a plane to use as an explosive.
The new machines give us a much better chance of finding those kinds of things.
And uh the revised pat down uh procedure helps us to make sure uh that if something appears as an anomaly that we don't uh the screener really can't tell what it is, that we can't resolve an anomaly.
In the end result, what it means is that you are safer getting on the plane.
Yeah, right.
The bottom line here is that she we got a sound by don't have time to get to it now before the break, but she claims what they're really worried about is home grown terrorists.
Homegrown.
Like Timothy McVay, all of a sudden identifying with Al-Qaeda.
But the machines can't, they do not detect powders.
Charlie Rose throwing softballs, he wouldn't ask you to.
But Madam Secretary, the secretary know that uh machines don't uh don't detect powders and uh and liquids, and they don't detect anything in a bodily cavity.
If somebody's got something bag of cocaine or whatever up the erectum, the machine will not catch it.
The machine does not catch it.
They only detect hard objects.
So this is all, folks, none of this, this is not security, this is pure harassment.
But If if if Bristol Palin wins this thing, you would not want to be a television set in Blue America.
You might get shot.
You know, whether she wins this or not, Bristol Palin has generated ratings for this show, like no other contestant, liberal or otherwise, has.
You have to know that.
How about uh you remember when Obama went swimming in the Gulf with his daughter to show it was safe during the oil spill?
How about taking his daughter through a screening?
How about Obama take his daughter to the airport and have a TSA groper go through the exact routines with Obama's daughter that everybody else's daughter goes through?
Export Selection
