Well, looky here, Chris Coons in Delaware is claiming voter harassment.
Chris Coons, the Democrat Senate candidate in Delaware, claims that his voters are being harassed.
I don't know about that, but I do know the new Black Panther Party is out in force in Philadelphia again.
But why would I mean Nevada, I'm sorry, Delaware is supposed to be a slam dunk.
Chris Coons is out whining today at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Chris Coons whining.
My voters are being harassed.
Christina O'Donnell, ranching my vote.
This is the Marxist with the beard.
And we're supposed to believe this.
Chris Coons voters are being harassed in Delaware.
Everybody keeps talking about the contretant in the Republican Party.
And there is, ladies and gentlemen, a shakeout that's going to occur in the Republican Party.
However, the battle is in the Democrat Party.
The long, simmering battle between moderates and liberals for the soul of the Democrat Party is about to explode, says the Politico.
It's coming down squarely on the side of centrism and planning to vigorously challenge the left.
The story is that the centrist Democrats are worried sick about the Daily Cause Democrats, the far left fringe, the Huffington Post Democrats.
They're very, very worried about them.
This is, it kind of reminds me of the Democrat Leadership Conference, the Clinton-led effort that was made to look like the centrists were taking the control of the Democrat Party away from the left.
But we get this story every few years.
In this story, the interesting quote here at the end of it is, a big tent is great, but not just for the sake of having a big tent, said Aarry Berman, contributing writer for the nation, the author of Herding Donkeys, The Fight to Rebuild the Democrat Party and Reshape American Politics.
What I don't understand, he says, is why the third way, why is Third Way expending all this energy justifying people who are consistently voting against Obama's agenda?
Seems to me like they're using Democrat defeats as an excuse to once again blame the liberals, which happens pretty much every single time a Democrats lose.
So the liberals of the Democrat Party, very upset.
They're being blamed for the shellacking that they all think is happening today in Nevada.
I mentioned to you yesterday that the gaming industry was circling the wagons for Dingy Harry.
And I mentioned earlier today that Democrat consultants from all over the country are heading into Nevada, lawyers and everything else, to try to do everything they could and can to save Dingy Harry.
Why?
I thought Sharon Engel was such a creep.
I thought she's such an extremist, a tool of the special interests.
I thought Sharon Engel was a kook.
I mean, what are we worried about Sharon Engels?
Christine O'Donnell.
I mean, why are we worried about any of these people?
This is, let's see, NationalReview.com.
Executives at the casino giant Harris pushed company employees to vote early in an all-out effort to help the Dingy Harry campaign, according to internet emails.
Staff are told the Reed campaign had connected with culinary, the culinary union, and that the problem was with mid-level supervisors.
They simply are not cooperating with and listening to upper management.
What's happening is that the union bigs are telling the rank and file, get out there, do all you can, vote for Dingy Harry, but they aren't.
The rank and file.
Mid-level supervisors are not cooperating and listening to upper management.
The Harry Reid staffer suggests that Harris executives put a headlock on your supervisors to get them to follow through.
On Friday, Western Regional President Tom Jenkins sent out a follow-up email showing a total vote count of Harris properties along with the percentage of employees who had voted at each property.
Attached to the email was a spreadsheet showing employee names and which property and at which property they worked.
Supervisors were asked to fill in codes explaining why their employees had not yet voted.
So the rank and file in Nevada seems to be resisting an all-out demand to go out and vote for Dingy Harry.
Interesting.
We let off the program today with some highlights of my CPAC speech back in 1994.
I want to continue.
This was one month into the Obama regime.
And at this time, the Tea Party had not yet sprung up.
There was general malaise.
There was a depression.
My gosh, Obama actually won this thing.
The Republicans were talking about how do we compromise?
First black president can't disagree.
He's very moderate.
We hope he moves to the center.
He's out there having dinner with all these conservative columnists and so forth.
And there was one guy, one person that was trying to.
Nope, I hope all this fails.
This is dangerous.
This is bad for America.
February 28, 2009, at the CPAC conference.
We don't want to tell anybody how to live.
It's up to you.
If you want to make the best of yourself, feel free.
If you want to ruin your life, we'll try to stop and make it because it's but it's a waste.
We look over the country as it is today, we see so much waste, human potential that's been destroyed by 50 years of a welfare state, by a failed war on poverty.
We love the people of this country, and we want this to be the greatest country it can be.
But we do understand as people created and endowed by our Creator, we're all individuals.
We resist the effort to group us.
We resist the effort to make us feel that we're all the same, that we're no different than anybody else.
We are all different.
There are no two things or people in this world who are created in a way that they end up with equal outcomes.
That's up to them.
They are created equal to get the chance.
We don't hate anybody.
We don't.
I mean, the racism in this country, if you ask me, and I know many people in this audience, let me just deal with this head on.
You know what the cliche is of a conservative, racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe.
Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen of America, but if you were paying attention, I know you were, the racism in our culture was exclusively and fully on display in the Democrat primary last year.
And my speech continued.
We have three more bites.
For those of you just tuning in on the Fox News channel with C-SPAN, I am Rush Limbaugh, and I want everyone in this room and every one of you around the country to succeed.
I want anyone who believes in life, liberty, pursuit of happiness to succeed.
And I want any force, any person, any element of an overarching big government that would stop your success.
I want that organization, that element, or that person to fail.
I want you to succeed.
Also, for those of you in the drive-by media watching, I have not needed a teleprompter for anything I've said.
And nor do any of us need a teleprompter because our beliefs are not the result of calculations and contrivances.
Our beliefs are not the result of a deranged psychology.
Our beliefs are our core.
Our beliefs are our hearts.
We don't have to make notes about what we believe.
We don't have to write down, oh, geez, do I believe?
We can tell people what we believe off the top of our heads, and we can do it with passion, and we can do it with clarity, and we can do it persuasively.
Some of us just haven't had the inspiration or motivation to do so in a number of years, but that's about to change.
February 28, 2009, El Rushbo at CPAC.
Warning, telling everybody where Obama would go.
Let me speak about President Obama for just a second.
President Obama is one of the most gifted politicians, one of the most gifted men that I have ever witnessed.
He has extraordinary talents.
He has communications skills that hardly anyone can surpass.
No, seriously.
No, no, I'm being very serious about this.
It just breaks my heart that he does not use these extraordinary talents and gifts to motivate and inspire the American people to be the best they can be.
He's doing just the opposite, and it's a shame.
President Obama has the ability.
He has the ability to inspire excellence in people's pursuits.
He has the ability to do all this, yet he pursues a path, seeks a path that punishes achievement, that punishes earners, that punishes, and he speaks negatively of the country.
Ronald Reagan used to speak of a shining city on a hill.
Barack Obama portrays America as a soup kitchen in some dark night in a corner of America that's very obscure.
He constantly is telling the American people that bad times are ahead, worse times are ahead.
And it's troubling because this is the United States of America.
Anybody ever ask, I'm in awe of our country, and I ask this question a lot as I got older.
We're less than 300 years old.
We are younger than nations that have been on this planet for thousands of years.
We nevertheless, in less than 300 years, and by the way, we're no different as human beings than any others around the world.
Our DNA is no different.
We're not better just because we're born in America.
There's nothing that sets us apart.
How did this happen?
How did the United States of America become the world's lone superpower, the world's economic engine, the most prosperous opportunity for an advanced lifestyle that humanity has ever known?
How did this happen?
And why, pray tell, does the President of the United States want to destroy it?
It saddens me.
This again, February 28, 2009, my first national address on television to the people of this country at the CPAC conference, accurately predicting who Obama was and where he was taking the country.
And I spelled out, for those who had any doubts, what his goals were to be.
Most wealth in this country is the result of entrepreneurial, just plain old hard work.
There's no reason to punish it.
There's no reason to raise taxes on these people.
Barack Obama, the Democrat Party, have one responsibility, and that's to respect the oath they gave to protect, defend, and follow the U.S. Constitution.
They don't have the right. to take money that's not theirs and none of it is from the back pockets of producers and give it to groups like Acorn, which are going to advance the Democrat Party.
If anybody but government were doing this, it would be a crime.
And many of us think it's bordering on that as it exists now.
President Obama is so busy trying to foment and create anger in a created atmosphere of crisis.
He is so busy fueling the emotions of class envy that he has forgotten it's not his money he's spending.
In fact, the money he's spending is not ours.
He is spending wealth that has yet to be created.
And that is not sustainable.
It will not work.
This has been tried around the world.
And every time it's been tried, it's a failed disaster.
What's the longest war in American history?
Somebody saying the war on poverty?
Smart group.
Yep, war on poverty.
War on poverty essentially started in the 30s as part of the New Deal.
But it really ramped up in the 60s with Lyndon Mayne Johnson, part of Great Society, War on Poverty.
We have transferred something like $10 trillion, maybe close to $11 trillion, from producers and earners to non-producers and earners since 1965.
And yet as I listen to the Democrat Party campaign, why America is still a soup kitchen?
The poor are still poor, and they have no hope.
And they're poor for what reason?
Well, they're poor because of us, because we don't care, because we've gotten rich by taking from them.
That's what kids in school are taught today.
That's what others have said to the media.
You know why they're poor?
You know why they remain poor?
Because their lives have been destroyed by the never-ending government hate that's designed to help them, but it destroys ambition.
It destroys the education they might get to learn to be self-fulfilling.
And it breaks our heart.
It breaks our heart.
We lose track of numbers with all of the money, with all the money that's been transferred, redistributed, with all the charitable giving in this country.
Ladies and gentlemen, there ought not be any poverty except among those who are genuinely ill-equipped.
But most of the people in poverty in this country are equipped for far much more.
They've just been beaten down.
They've been told, don't worry, we'll take care of you.
There's nothing out there for you anyway.
You're going to be discriminated against.
And it breaks our heart to see this.
We can't have a great country and a growing economy with more and more people being told they have a right because of some injustice that's been done to them or some discrimination, that they have a right to the earnings of others.
And it's gotten so out of hand now that what worries me is that this administration, the Barack Obama administration, is actively seeking to expand the welfare state in this country because he wants to control it.
And that is exactly what's happened.
The porculus bill, the stimulus bill, was designed to further exactly that agenda.
Brief time out, my friends.
We'll come back.
More of your phone calls as we dig deeper into the stack of stuff as well.
Here it is, The Washington Wire from the Wall Street Journal.
Most polls have predicted that the closely watched Delaware Senate race between the bearded Marxist Chris Coons and Christine O'Donnell was going to be anything but close.
It was going to be a wipeout.
One poll last week had Mr. Coons up by 10 points after being up by 31, while all the others gave him a far more comfortable margin.
But Democrats in Delaware remain skibbish.
In a noon email alert to supporters, Coons campaign manager Christy Gleason said close to a close monitoring of voter turnout in the state's 41 representative districts showed lower turnout in Newcastle and Kent counties than we are comfortable with.
Lower turnout.
To win, Mr. Coons will have to get heavy support from Democrats and Independents in Newcastle, the state's most populous county.
In the primary, Ms. O'Donnell drew heavy support from the state's other two counties, Kent and Sussex, which skew more to the right.
They're worried about low turnout in Delaware.
And Coons is also suggesting that his voters are being harassed out there.
Yeah, well, if it's a low turnout, it's low turnout of Democrats.
So I'm imagining now the phones are ringing off the hooks at the SEIU and Acorn headquarters saying, get some thugs out here.
The Coons people probably call an Acorn and SEIU, get some thugs out here, do something to rouse people out of their homes.
Where's all that walking around money we gave you?
How come we're not paying people to go out and vote?
They're not comfortable in Delaware.
At least that's what they are saying.
Where are the buses?
What, is Ray Nagan in charge of the buses in Delaware?
They still parked in the lot.
Here is Sheila in Toledo.
Great to have you on the program.
Sheila, hi.
Hi, Rush.
This is such a big thrill to talk to you.
And I always thought if I ever got a chance to talk to you, that there would be something I'd want to share.
And Snergly said it would be okay before I got to my point.
And I wanted to tell you that I think you're a better leader than Obama is because you're always encouraging us.
And he's all doom and gloom.
And I think that's why you make today so much fun.
It's as if it's a holiday.
And it's because of you.
And the other thing I wanted to share, Rush, is that you've said a couple of times that we have like a familial relationship.
And I just agree with that so much.
When you came back from your honeymoon, you gave some advice to your audience, and you said, never give up.
And that affected me as strongly as if you were my brother, Rush.
It just sank way down deep.
And I just appreciate you.
Thank you very, very much.
I'm trying to figure out what happened on my honeymoon that would want me to tell you never to give up.
Well, you were talking about how that it can happen regardless of where you are in life.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
Okay, okay, right.
Okay, now look, Sheila, hang on.
I got another one of those obscene profit breaks I have to take here.
And we'll come back right to you after this.
So they got a low vote turnout in Delaware.
This is according to Chris Kuhn's own people.
What could be responsible for low turnout among Democrats?
Maybe reverse Operation Chaos.
After all, it is reverse Operation Chaos, which has as its objective Democrats who think Hillary would be a better opportunity for Democrats told the White House in 2012 to simply stay home and not vote today or go out and vote Republican.
The worse the showing for Obama today, i.e. The worse the Democrats do, the better the chance for Hillary to challenge during the primaries of 2012.
And where is she today?
She is out of the country.
She is out of here.
And wherever she is, she has told people that she's meeting that Obama is envious of her trip, wishes he could be with her.
He's in Asia.
She's in Asia.
That's exactly right.
Obama wants to be anywhere but where he is.
In two days and I'll be in India at $200 million a day.
Back now to Sheila in Toledo.
Okay, Sheila, what's the reason for your call?
Well, a few days ago, you were talking about something on drugs about that the Republican leadership was going to pre-assign staff for the Tea Party people when they got to D.C.
And it made me think back to when Michelle Bachman organized a caucus for the Tea Party people.
And at the time, I thought, well, that's pretty optimistic.
And now I think that she's one shrewd cookie.
And it was very astute of her to get that lined up.
And I wonder if that will be like an anecdote to what the old guard is going to try to do.
Well, there are some.
Michelle Bachman's one of them.
I do believe.
Look, it's standard ordinary or standard operating procedure that staff, experienced staff, are appointed for newbies, newly arrived members of Congress, the freshmen.
And it is done because the newbies are newbies.
They need to be shown the way of the world, how it works.
I mean, I've been to a couple of orientations.
I went to one that DeLay did at the Library of Congress.
And I listened to DeLay explain to the newbies how the Library of Congress was theirs and how they could use it, what it was for.
Now, the story about staff being appointed is a little bit, in some cases, shall we say, suspect.
Because one of the theories behind it is that the existing, certain members of the existing leadership want to have spies on the newbies.
And they want to have staff in there to try to thwart the newbies from really doing what they've been elected to do.
In other words, they go in there and make sure they do the leadership's bidding.
Now, Michelle Bachman and others are going to do what they can to see to it.
This doesn't happen.
It's going to be interesting to watch.
But it is standard operating procedure.
This is not unusual for the existing staff to be appointed to newbies.
Look, it happens on the Democrat side, too.
Luis Gutierrez from Illinois, he agreed to interview, be interviewed by me in the Limbaugh letter because he had said publicly and confirmed something I had always told people that elected Democrats in the House, new ones, are brought in.
The Speaker tells them, look, here's the lay of the land.
If you want to have a chance at increasing your power, you want to move into the leadership ranks here.
If you want to have guaranteed reelection, if you want outside your district re-election money, then you vote the way we tell you.
If you don't, you are a man alone on an island and we don't care what happens to you.
And Luis Gutierrez basically said one day that this is what he was told when he got there.
And he agreed, and he said it on, I think, something on 60 Minutes.
He agreed to come on the Limbaugh letter and be interviewed by me to say the same thing.
He refused after having agreed to.
Sure somebody got to him and said, hey Luis, we'll forgive you this time, but don't say that again.
It's a bipartisan moment here and it didn't happen, but that's okay, we understood it.
Here's Ann, in Charleston, South Carolina.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Hi Raj hello yeah hi um, listen.
I voted early this morning and I experienced some technical problems with the electronic machines, and I just want to tell people that if your machines do not give you a written receipt of any kind, make sure you stay around until you get some sort of confirmation that your vote got cast.
I almost walked out of there without actually casting a vote.
What happened?
I mean, how did you realize whether it was what was about to happen?
Well, I I decided to just hang back, because I was expecting some sort of thank you for casting a vote or something to pop up, and instead you mean on the screen right right, and instead I got an error message and just for a split second I saw the word problem pop up.
And so did you, by any chance, cast your vote for Republicans?
Yes, I did.
Well, I don't really think that was the problem.
Oh, you don't, okay?
No because, because they were very helpful and I was able to, to cast it again.
Well, that's good right, but I just want to make sure people know, if you don't get any kind of confirmation up on the screen or you don't get any kind of receipt, that you should ask somebody about it, don't just walk away.
All right, I'll keep that in mind.
I have to go vote later today yeah, and I'll keep a sharp eye on my machine right, right?
Well thanks Rush, all right, thanks very much, Ann.
I appreciate that.
What was that?
You've already voted.
A magic marker, a magic yeah, but it's still electronic in it.
Use it.
The electronic machines in Florida have been killed.
So you draw.
Oh that's, when you draw a line, you complete a line.
You complete the arrow.
That's right.
Yeah, so.
So this is?
This is to prevent people from coming out of the polling place thing.
I think I voted for Pat Buchanan when I meant to vote for Al Gore.
At any rate, over the past five years, since we're talking about fraud and we're talking about machines that screw up and we're talking about casting votes that don't happen or ignoring votes that do over the past five years, criminal hackers from all over the world have been targeting huge databases of social security and credit card numbers.
The end game for these criminal Hackers, of course, is identity theft.
Once they obtain stolen data, their objective is to turn it into cash as quickly as possible.
Now, this either entails selling the data to identity thieves on black market forums or using the information to create new accounts or to take over existing credit card accounts.
Regardless how they do it, identity theft is the objective.
And if it happens to you, it is a nightmare.
I'm going to give you an example.
I didn't have my identity stolen, but I have two iPads.
I have two of them.
Now, I just purchased a brand new Mac Pro.
This is not, folks, I'm just telling this, I'm not complaining about anything.
I'm just telling you what happened.
I just purchased a new Mac Pro.
Well, a month ago.
Now, since I had the new Mac Pro, that's their state-of-the-art desktop.
It's a tower.
I mean, it's 12-core.
This baby, it's top of the line.
I have not, had not until last night, connected either of my iPads or my iPhone to it to sync my latest data.
Last night I did.
It wiped both iPads clean.
A faulty USB port, two faulty USB ports.
Both of my iPads were wiped clean before I even knew what happened.
In fact, I was told the indication were that the computer didn't even see the iPads.
It saw enough to wipe them.
Now, my IT advisor and me spent 12 hours overnight rebuilding these two iPads.
12 hours.
Actually, it's more like 15.
This happened at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and it wasn't until 9 o'clock that both of them were rebuilt.
Now, they were backed up at places on the tower, but I couldn't use the tower, the new computer.
I had to transfer my iTunes data to a laptop.
That took a while.
And then I had to back up and redo the laptops, re-sync them from, or the iPad to my laptop.
Now, it took a couple hours to figure out what had happened here.
I kept trying to restore, I kept trying to upgrade, and finally figured out, you know what?
This machine doesn't see the iPad, and I've lost all the data on both of them.
And one of them is my Super Duper EIB official engraved iPad.
It took from 5 p.m. until 9 a.m. today overnight to rebuild these two iPads.
And even at that, they're not totally rebuilt.
I'm going to have to download some stuff apps that weren't backed up, that I had purchased on the iPad that I didn't back them up, so they weren't on the computer.
Anyway, my point is, it took me 15 hours just to rebuild less than 50 gigabytes of data on an iPad, on two iPads.
I can't imagine what it would be like to have to rebuild my life if I lost, if somebody stole that.
Imagine using your credit card somewhere where they know you, and somebody tells you, I'm sorry, you don't exist.
You've been wiped.
Now, the way to stop that from happening to you in identity theft is LifeLock.
It's real simple.
You give them your social security number.
When somebody tries to wipe you, when somebody tries to steal your identity, they are caught in the process because LifeLock has the best identity alert system that there is.
800-440-4833 is the number to call, and you save 10% off the already ridiculously low LifeLock price by using the offer code Rush, 800-440-4833.
LifeLock.
Sterling thinks I'm making this up.
I'm not.
It was a nightmare.
Now, I never once lost composure.
I could have.
I'm trying to do show prep for this show last night.
I'm trying to get ready for this show, and I got to rebuild these iPads.
And this is crucial.
There's stuff on there that can only be displayed on the iPad.
Some of those apps and some of the things has data that can only be there.
And the computer I was using would wipe the content of any.
I'm just glad I didn't connect my iPhone to it.
I'd have lost that too.
So I don't care what you're talking about, backing up your computer data.
What are you talking about?
Preserving your identity.
You don't want to lose it.
You don't want to get wiped.
And we will be back.
Sit-tight.
No, no, no.
Everybody's wondering, what do you mean your computer wiped the iPads?
It's very simple.
I connected both iPads to the USB port, and immediately iTunes thought that the iPads, they took them into restore.
I mean, just it wiped them automatically into full restore mode.
You have to go into iPads.
That's an option.
You have to click.
It did it automatically.
It just wiped all the data off of there.
The minute I connected the USB port, iTunes said, I have detected an iPad that needs to be restored.
So I said, well, I must have a faulty iPad here.
So I connected my other iPad to it.
The same thing happened.
So what I've got here is a faulty Mac Pro or a couple of faulty USB ports.
I even tried connecting the iPads to the USB ports on my monitor.
And the same thing happened.
You got USB ports on the monitor.
I got a little bit.
It would not restore.
Error 14.
I must have tried restoring.
That's why I eventually had to go to my laptop, transfer all the iTunes data to the laptop, because this computer just would not restore to the iPad, even from ground zero.
No matter how I tried, here's another.
This is from a cat, thehill.com, endangered Democrat turnout isn't where we needed to be.
A key endangered Democrat incumbent admitted today turnout isn't where it needed to be.
This is Steve Kagan, Democrat Wisconsin.
His campaign manager emailed supporters to warn them that turnout numbers were flagging and that they needed more voters to make their way to the polls.
Now, folks, if they are admitting this at this point in the day, this is going to be very, very tough for them to start cheating.
Well, no, really, if they come out and say turnout's not where we need it to be, and all of a sudden they get close enough that they have a recount or something, it's going to be very, very suspicious.
I have a minute and a half, but I want to go to Oregon.
Andrew, welcome to the EIB Network.
Great to have you here.
Thank you, Rush, for taking my call.
I had a thought about Obama's taking this vacation to India.
What on earth?
How can they think to spend $200 million a day for a trip to India and taking this outrageous entourage with them?
What in the world is this all about?
What do you think it's all about?
Seriously, what do you think it's all about?
Is he going over there to run for president of the United Nations or something?
It is a good question.
You take this many people, this many airplanes.
The question is, are you coming back or are you fleeing to exile?
I have a different theory.
I don't know what policy reasons that Obama's going to India is.
I have no idea.
But the idea that you're going to take 3,000 people and you're booking over 500 rooms in a hotel and you're taking 40 airplanes.
What that tells me is that you have a guy and a family who thinks this nation owes them.
And while they're in a position to, they are going to live off of this country as much as they can.
They are going to get theirs.
That's what this tells me.
No president has ever anywhere close to 40 airplanes, 3,000 people, 500 rooms in one hotel.
And that's just one hotel for a 10-day trip, $200 million a day.
It's never been done before.
This is somebody that says it's my turn.
My turn.
Our turn to get what has been denied us all these years.
That's what I think.
Well, I tell you what, a real reason Obama is going to India is about as far away as you can get from Washington, D.C., and still have to deal with a bunch of communists.
I mean, it's just, you don't want to be the second-ranking communist when you're in a group of them.
