Half my brain tied behind my back.
Just to make it fair.
So in the eyes of Barack Obama and many of his supporters, the United States, the freest, the fairest country on the face of the earth, is the worst offender of all time.
To Obama, to Reverend Wright to Bill Ayers, the entire generation of 60s kids.
We oppress people of color.
We oppress women.
We oppress homosexuals.
We oppress Latinos.
We oppress union workers.
So, as Dr. Shelby Steele rightfully puts it, we are so thoroughly wicked that anything they say or do to bring us down as a nation is justified.
In fact, not just justified, it's long overdue in their minds.
We actually have Republicans who think this kind of thinking is gonna moderate after next Tuesday.
Move in our direction, realize the American people have rejected them.
It's going to get worse.
This view of America will get even worse precisely because of the election.
Obama and his supporters will look at the results next Tuesday and see in their minds a confirmation that racism, sexism, bigotry, homophobia, and all of these things have again risen to the top.
And their efforts to punish will redouble.
They don't see decency in this country.
They don't see goodness.
They see evil.
Immorality.
Unjustness.
They must bring the nation down.
That's why I said I hope he fails.
I don't know about you.
But the Shelby Steele piece sort of nails it for me.
Enables me to verbalize the emotions I've been feeling.
I have been not just in the 08 campaign with Obama, but throughout my life, I have been livid at liberals for characterizing me and this country as evil.
Undecent.
Indecent.
It's really been at the core of all this.
It goes beyond being offended.
I generally try not to give people the power to offend me.
But throughout my and it's not, folks, it's not just because we're conservatives, it's because we're not them.
Because we don't see the world the way they do.
Doesn't matter, I mean, it helps them that we're conservatives.
They have a built-in bias, but it's not aimed at us precisely and solely because we're conservatives, because we're not them.
We're not as enlightened.
We don't see the flaws of this country.
We are responsible for them, in fact.
We're the ones who must be punished.
We're the ones from whom wealth must be taken and transferred to those who have been our victims.
That's exactly what this is.
And it's being done on the presumption that we are all indecent and unkind and mean and evil and uncaring, that we are racist and sexist oppressors, and that our nation has been since its founding.
And leading a fallen nation, presiding over a fallen nation, is what energizes them, not leading a great one.
They have no desire to lead a great nation.
This explains in part Obama's first reaction to the terrorist attacks on 9-11.
One of his first reactions was to feel empathy for the terrorists.
We've played you the sound bites.
have read you the quotes.
It's embodied in the State Department, depending on whoever doing a seminar shortly after.
Why do they hate us?
As though there's a justification for it.
There was a justification for 9-11.
We had to come to grips with it and find out why we deserved it.
Reverend Wright, America's chickens are come home to roost.
President Obama is happy to be that chicken.
Barack Obama happy to be Reverend Wright's chicken who has come home to roost.
We deserve it.
We have a need to understand what motivated them.
Just like his spiritual mentor called the 9 11 attacks a wake-up call for white America.
Barack Obama and his crowd see this country as a great Satan.
We are the ones who have polluted the world.
We are the ones who are destroying the climate.
We are the ones who are stealing all the resources.
We are the ones guaranteeing and causing poverty in Africa.
We are the ones who are responsible for all the atrocities committed by various communist regimes.
They have simply been reacting to us.
What kind of self-loathing must you feel in order to occupy the position that Obama and his crowd does?
And the Tea Party is a direct reaction to this, whether they are cognizant of it or not, one of the things that's inspiring this effervescence is they are sick and tired of being blamed for, in essence, making a great country great.
They're sick and tired of it.
They're sick and tired of seeing this nation apologized for.
They're sick and tired of this nation being attacked from within, being brought down from within.
People are sick and tired and fed up with the notion that this country must pay a price, must pay its dues for whatever transgressions these sick people think we have committed over the course of our existence.
People wonder why America or why Obama doesn't wear a flag pin.
We wonder why it's news when he does.
We wonder why it made news when he put a flag pin on going into West Virginia during the campaign.
We wonder why his supporters might give him a little grief for doing that and why he would have to say, stick with me, I have to do this in order to win this particular state.
The thing that worried a lot of us was, does he speak for a majority of Americans?
Did his election mean that a majority of America looks at the country the way he does?
And I think we're finding out now that it does not and did not, and that Obama did not represent them at all and lied to them and now slowly but surely and maybe in mass, people are starting to understand how they were hoodwinked.
The New York Times has uh an outraged or an in-outraged piece today by Jim Rutenberg and Megan Thee Brennan, critical parts of the coalition that delivered Obama to the White House in 2008 and gave Democrats control of Congress in 06, are switching their allegiance to the Republicans in the final phase of the midterm elections, according to the latest New York Times CBS News poll.
Republicans have wiped out the advantage held by Democrats in recent election cycles among women, Roman Catholics, less affluent Americans, and independents, all of those groups broke for Mr. Obama in 2008, and for Congressional Democrats when they grabbed both chambers from Republicans in 2006.
All this according to exit polls.
Now, wouldn't be surprised or suspect that these are also the usually dependable go-to people that the New York Times or rest of the news media chose to poll.
Oh, And even they, even their chosen subjects to get the answers they want in their polls, even they are saying they're gonna vote for Republicans.
This must be quite a shock to all of these polls for the New York Times to write and admit this.
That the Obama coalition is abandoning him for Democrats?
The New York Times CBS poll gets the results they want.
They have a steady group of respondents.
That steady group they depend on for the answers they want are giving them news that shocks them.
If women chose Republicans over Democrats in house races on Tuesday, it will be the first time, says the Times that they have done so since exit polls began tracking the breakdown in 1982.
Well, maybe women are finally waking up to the fact that the federal government does not make a very good husband after all.
Maybe women are finally realizing that the federal government is ever bit the deadbeat husband that the average guy they run into is.
Maybe women are starting to realize that turning their kids over to the federal government via daycare and whatever else equals forgetting them.
The poll provides a pre-election day glimpse of a nation so politically disquieted and disappointed in its current trajectory that 57% of the registered voters surveyed said they were more willing to take a chance this year on a candidate with little previous political experience.
57% say give us an amateur.
57% say no more to the ruling class.
57% say give us one of us.
More than 25% of them said they were even willing to back a candidate who holds some views that some people might say seem extreme.
It is watershed to the extent.
That is true.
But even in this, even in this New York Times story notice, instead of calling us angry and confused, not thinking clearly as they've been describing us for months, all of a sudden now we're disquieted and disappointed.
We're no longer angry, confused, or not thinking clearly.
We're disquieted, disappointed.
They're that worried about November 2nd.
They are that concerned about next Tuesday.
But still, who can blame the New York Times and the rest of the news media for being furious at this outcome?
They have to see this as a personal defeat.
After all their hard work, after all of their lies, after all of their indecency, after all of their immorality in giving us this unvetted man child, who seeks to preside happily over a nation in decline.
They're the ones that think they bend shape and mold public opinion, and here it is, basically saying to them.
But here they are in this New York Times piece, throwing up their hands and saying that if we're going to vote for neophytes and other extremists, then they're giving up on us.
Meaning the New York Times.
George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning December 30, Stephanopoulos on uh ABC News.com's Georgia's bottom line blog.
He said this about the 2010 midterm elections, some unidentified woman in the background here just warning you.
Over the last month, women have gone from favoring the Democrats by about seven points to favoring Republicans by about four points.
Now, if that holds up, this would be the first midterm election going back to the beginning of exit polling in 1982, where women voters have gone for Republicans over the Democrats.
You combine that with what we're seeing out of Gallup on the makeup of this electorate.
55% Republican or leading Republican, and every other piece of reporting I have is really leaning towards a big, big night for the Republicans on Tuesday.
I was talking to the top Republican official yesterday in the House who is now predicting well over 60 seats for the Republican Party, and Democrats aren't disputing at all at Harley.
George Stephanopoulos is reading the New York Times and swallowing the Kool-Aid.
Whatever they're saying, he apparently believes it.
Obama goes on television last night.
Goes on a daily show.
Where a comedian calls the president of the United States dude.
I wouldn't use that phrase, dude, to some laughter.
We now know when Obama calls us folks, like he did on the Daily Show.
We know what he really means.
Enemies.
The enemy.
We are the enemy.
Say what you want about presidents we've had, but most of them have at least viewed themselves as representatives of all the people.
Not this guy.
Over half the country is viewed by this guy in his regime as the enemy.
That's us.
Okay, we're gonna go to the phones and start in Oaklawn, Illinois with uh Al.
Great to have you on the program, sir.
You're first.
Great to talk to you, Rush.
Thank you.
Uh, I see uh Obama as the American Mandela.
You know, you're talking about a domestic uh view of uh how the people of the United States are are divided.
He sees us as being an imperialist country that conquered other countries and vanquished them, and that's why the apology, that's why this sense of urgency to uh support the United Nations and and to make America humble itself in front of the rest of the world.
Uh he is you know, he's an unadulterated apologist, and there's no question about it.
We've seen it all along.
He's worse than an apologist.
Well, I'm trying to keep it clean.
Well, I know, but I mean he's doing more than apologizing.
He is destroying.
He's not just apologizing, he's reforming in his view.
I think Obama would take it as a huge compliment to be seen as the American Mandela.
It'd be a huge, huge compliment.
Obama is a proactive anti-American.
He's not just an apologist.
I'm don't I'm not trying to be rude, Al to you or the caller.
I'm just trying to be accurate here.
He's doing more than apologizing.
If all he were doing was apologizing would live with it.
Shirley in Salem, Illinois, your next on the Rush Limbaugh program, high.
Hello, Rush.
It's a great honor to speak to you.
Thank you.
I gave two uh sons to this country, so I'm gonna fire a shot across Chicago board members, okay?
Yep.
This morning I heard that the Chicago Democrat Board hand delivered two thousand six hundred absentee ballots to prisoners in Cook County while denying two thousand six hundred young cook heroes that's overseas fighting, sending their ballots too late.
Now they don't know the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and I do because I'm an old lady.
Article three, section two states under voting disqualification.
Felonies are otherwise under sentence and correctional institutions are jailed.
I was just gonna say, how in the world do you deliver over two thousand ballots to a prison?
They hand delivered them.
In Cook County.
Who said this?
It was on the uh TV this morning.
What was it, Channel 7, eyeball news?
I don't remember who it was because I I'm a channel flipper, catching all the news.
Well, they're not gonna like hearing that.
Here I gave you a chance to speak up for Channel Seven.
Well, I watch Fox.
I don't know what channel that is in your area.
Well, no, no, Channel 7's ABC, so you're watching.
Well, I'll never watch ABC.
Oh.
Okay.
But it says end of that section, they shall lose their right to vote.
Not maybe.
They those prisoners have no rights to vote anyway.
Now these prisoners didn't even ask for a ballot.
They were just taken and given them.
Well, I've got I've got folks, I have confirmation of this.
The Chicago Board of Elections hand delivers ballots to the jail.
They don't even wait for the inmates to apply for them.
Just hand deliver them.
They bring the applications with the ballots, over 2600 inmates have cast ballots so far, which just as she said here, it's it's an almost identical number the uh number of military who will not receive a ballot in time to vote next Tuesday.
She's exactly right.
Disgraceful does not begin to describe the Illinois election system.
Disgraceful doesn't even scratch the surface.
Thanks, Shirley, very much for the call.
This John in Las Vegas.
Great to have you on the EIB network, sir.
Hello.
Hello, Megadiddles Rush.
Thank you.
My question is now that we have proof that there's a liberal gene, and since everybody in the world knows that the Republicans in bed with uh big insurance and big pharma.
Does that mean now that we can come up with a cure for the liberal disease?
Well, no, that's interesting.
Uh do we want to cure it?
Um, or do we just want to eliminate it?
That's my point.
I think we can stop liberalism in his tracks.
We just create a new drug.
Uh that would somehow arrest the gene.
But you remember now there are two things.
According to this scientific research, it's not just the gene.
There also must be very active social life during adolescence.
As in, I guess being in the big click.
Being in the big click combines with the gene to uh make you a liberal.
And remember, as I pointed out earlier, the liberals even teach that they are descended from Pond scum.
They were not created in the eyes of our Lord.
They were they just somehow evolved out of the primordial soup, swimming around in the gunk, the pond scum.
And at some point, one of them finally decided, you know what I don't like the Pond scum here, I'm gonna walk to the shore and find out what it's like to be on the sand.
Anyway, I appreciate the call, John.
Thanks very much.
Obama's puzzling political strategy for after the midterms.
According to the In the Tank, Richard Wolf of MBC coming up right after this.
All right, let's do a little swerve here into what happens after next Tuesday.
Steven Spruell at the corner at National Review Online has this from Richard Wolf, who's at NBC in a bag in a tank, writes books for and about and up orifices of Obama.
The White House plans to test Republicans' unity and political resolve on three controversial issues.
This is Obama's political strategy for after the midterms, as revealed by an NBC insider who's on the take.
Uh is on it is in the no.
The White House plans to test Republicans' unity and political resolve on three issues: repealing the Bush tax cuts, implementing the deficit commission's findings, and pushing immigration reform.
If we are to believe Richard Wolfe, those are the three things Obama's going to do to test the mettle of the Republicans.
Meanwhile, the Republicans are expecting Obama to sort of agree with them on things.
Obama's team says that these three issues will make for good policy and for good politics.
Forcing Republicans elected in swing districts to choose between placating Democrats and independents, risking a possible Tea Party challenge in 2012.
Republicans risking Tea Party Challenge.
What Obama apparently wants to do here is put issues on the table to split the Republicans.
Identify the rhinos.
and And force Tea Party people to run against them in 2012.
The White House believes immigration reform may be the toughest test for the Republicans.
Even tougher than tackling the deficit.
One senior Obama aide said to Richard Wolfe, this will separate the reasonable Republicans from the PAC running for president.
Now you have to ask yourself why in the world, what in the world would make anybody in the White House think that immigration reform is the issue to test the Republicans on.
I'll tell you why.
I'll tell you exactly why.
Because Obama and the Democrats know that there are Republicans who are for amnesty in the United States Senate.
They think they can probably get McCain back on board.
They know they've got Lindsey Graham.
not saying whether they're right or wrong.
I'm just saying they believe that there are probably enough Republicans to pick off to put together an amnesty bill.
I really hope that Richard Wolfe is right.
I hope this is the strategy that they implement.
Because they're going to be shocked.
On this tax business, do they really believe?
Does Obama really believe that there are Republicans who are going to oppose the extension of the Bush tax cuts?
Do they really think in the White House that that is a reasonable assumption?
Have you heard?
Somebody help me out.
Is there any Republican that you've heard oppose the extension of the Bush taxes?
In fact, is it not the opposite?
Is it not true that it's Democrats who are abandoning Obama on this and advocating the extension of the Bush tax cuts?
That's the reality here.
So what's going on here?
Now, where the Republicans are these ranking Republicans I've talked about, they think Obama's going to look at election returns and moderate to them.
Republicans look at election returns too.
Republicans are going to see what they must do to lose, or conversely, what they must do to hold their office.
The idea that in the midst of this, the White House thinks they've got a sizable percentage of Republicans willing to move to Obama.
Now you also have to throw into the mix.
Why these three issues?
Well, don't forget 2012's coming up.
And Obama has got to get his base back.
Even the New York Times is reporting today that he's lost his base.
So these three issues, immigration reform, probably, and you I would have to assume tax and tax and crap and tax or tax.
What if it Kevin Trade's going to be in there?
Uh card check, some of these other things.
But repealing the tax cuts, deficit commission findings, that's tax increases, and immigration reform, those three things probably are issues.
Obama thinks can bring his base back home.
I've been watching Obama's base, I've been reading Obama's base.
They're livid with Obama over health care.
You know why?
You and I look at this think they ought to be happy.
They ought to be doing threesomes in a Lincoln bedroom.
I mean, they ought to be so damn happy.
They got it, but they're not.
You know what they're unhappy about?
Well, well, they didn't, it's it's not that they just didn't get single payer, it's that Obama got in bed with the insurance companies.
Obama got in bed with the pharmaceutical companies to get them on board.
They're ticked off that Obama forged relationships with their dreaded enemies.
They are stupid.
Look at we've already identified this as a genetic defect.
These people are in it for utter total destruction.
They think that Obama propped up and made deals with Wall Street in the financial regulatory reform bill, where they want Wall Street destroyed.
They think he's propped up the insurance industry in his health care bill.
They think he's propped up the drug industry in his health care reform when in fact he has done exactly what they want.
He has charted a course to destroy private sector insurance.
It just didn't happen tomorrow.
It might not happen for four or five years, but they want it to happen now.
So his base is unhappy with him.
Not over specifically what he's done, but how slowly he's done it and with whom.
Club Gidmo Is still open.
And despite all the talk that combat operations in Iraq are over, we're still there.
And he upped the ante, as far as they are concerned, in Afghanistan.
And now one of their idols.
Gorbachev is out there saying it's impossible to win.
And they say, well, why doesn't Obama understand this?
Because they want America to lose.
And they expect that Obama will make us lose.
I predicted to you they would never close Club Gitmo when they're running a show.
And I predicted to you they will never lose a war when they're in charge of it.
They will engineer a loss when a Republican's president, but they will not saddle themselves with the loss militarily while they are running the show.
So his base is not happy with him.
So you gotta you gotta look at these issues in his in a post-election Obama presidency as two pronged.
How's he going to expose Republicans as frauds and phonies?
And how is he going to get his base reignited and back on his side?
Now here's the dirty secret.
Well, it's not a dirty secret.
This is the actually the very visible reality.
If you want higher unemployment, if you want fewer jobs, vote Democrat.
Do you know that the unemployed are starting to form at organizing?
The people that have been out of work longer than the 99 weeks that they get benefits are now organizing for more unemployment benefits for extended benefits.
There are people in this country who no longer want to work.
And they are voting Democrat and they are demanding extended benefits.
If you want that, if you want more Americans who are out of work and don't want to work, and we already know 76% of us know someone who's lost a job, vote Democrat.
If you want a smaller paycheck, if you want less take home pay, vote Democrat.
If you want higher tuition, you want to pay higher tuition for your kids to go to what now seems like a more and more worthless proposition college, vote Democrat.
If you want to lose your home, vote Democrat.
If you want to be less secure, terms of foreign policy or even domestic policy, vote Democrat.
If you want illegal aliens to vote, vote Democrat.
If you want open borders and lawsuits against states who try to enforce federal law, vote Democrat.
If you want police citing you for eating too much trans fat...
Vote Democrat.
Vote Democrat.
You want higher health care costs, vote Democrat.
If you want to believe we're not a great country, vote Democrat.
If you believe America's guilty, vote Democrat.
If you believe America must pay the price for 230 years of indecency and evil, vote Democrat.
How's that hope and change working for you?
By the way, folks, I wouldn't worry so much about all these military ballots or I'm sorry, uh, ballots being delivered to prisons in Illinois.
All the criminals in Illinois are in public office.
The prisoners in jail are Republicans.
Back after this.
Recorded on the island of Mastique.
From the Stones, it's Rush Limbaugh and the EIB network.
Okay, Obama and his post-election strategy.
What is ours going to be?
What should ours be?
Let me run through some things and see what you think.
Act immediately on votes to repeal Obamacare.
Act immediately on votes to deny the EPA the power to regulate carbon dioxide through cap and trade.
Move immediately to make permanent the Bush tax cuts.
Move Immediately to press for a single constitutional amendment that would limit the size of the federal government by limiting the percentage of GDP the federal government can spend in any given year.
And what a wonderful debate that would be.
That is what's driving the Tea Party in large part is spending.
Spending ourselves into generational debt and theft.
And have a debate on just how much spending there can be, a certain percentage of GDP.
State openly, they will not tolerate any more radicals on the federal bench.
No more sodomayors, no more Kagans, no more idiots, no more activists on the federal bench.
If they do this, if the Republicans do this, they will go a long way toward restoring the Republic.
Win, lose, or draw.
These are important first steps.
And in doing this, they will be able to articulate our view of society and effectively contrast it with the left.
No, it's not.
There's uh gonna be over 200 Republicans in the House.
They already say they're gonna act immediately to repeal Obamacare.
Okay, just add to it.
What else have they got to do up there?
They say they're not gonna compromise.
If you're not gonna compromise, what else are you gonna do?
If you're not gonna compromise, you vote to repeal Obamacare immediately.
You vote to deny EPA the power to regulate through cap and trade.
You make sure that doesn't happen.
You act immediately to sidetrack card check.
You act immediately to make the Bush tax cuts permanent.
This is why they are there.
This is not too much.
This is not too big a bite.
This is why they are being elected.
Move immediately to press for a constitutional amendment limiting the size of the federal government.
That's what this is all about.
Not only is this what's expected, not only is this what we hope for, this is what's right.
That's what this is all about.
I'm simply laying out the basic foundation here of a conservative agenda.
If all of this is done, win, lose, or draw.
I'm not saying succeed at it.
I'm not saying win every one of these things.
I'm not unrealistic.
Try it, do it.
Put the pressure on.
Stand up for yourselves, be what you're for.
Don't just say it.
We're not electing people to go up there and wait two years until we might win the presidency to do stuff.
There is a sense of urgency about this.
No more radicals on the federal judiciary bench.
Win, lose, or draw.
The Republicans will be fighting for the right things.
They will be taking important first steps.
And in the process, they will be articulating our view of society, culture, ideology.
And in the process, magic will happen.
They will be effectively contrasting what we are with radical liberalism.
And if that's done, we can't lose, particularly in this climate.
Nobody, and I'm talking a majority, nobody wants what Obama's doing.
It's in the polling data.
No time to be defensive, no time to be afraid of the charge of racism.
Drop this fear of the media.
The support of the American people will dwarf whatever damage the media can do to these people.
Connect with their audience.
Connect with their voters.
Understand that what they do is not for them.
It's for their voters.
It's for their country.
That's all that has to happen here.
There are other issues.
You might have issues you think are more important, the ones I've mentioned.
Fine.
But this is a good start.
Budget matters.
Cut the federal civilian workforce by 10% or more.
Or try to.
Cut spending to 2008 levels, a budgetary freeze for crying out loud.
You know, allow for inflation increases, but just a freeze.
It won't hurt anybody.
They've already proposed that, by the way, going back to 2008.
Obama's gonna veto all this, so be it.
Let him veto it.
That helps us.
We come back for it all again.
And he vetoes it again.
And he calls us mean-spirited, extreme, he calls us whatever they're gonna call us.
Let him do it.
They're gonna call us that anyway, no matter what we do.
Not even Obama's supporters support what Obama's doing.
Those still with him are doing it out of loyalty and fear of what we are.
Take the votes, let the chips fall as they may.
But this is a decades-long process.
It's not gonna all happen the next two years, it's not gonna all get fixed in the next two years, but it's gotta start somewhere.
If not now, when see, I forgot something that's important in this list, and that is securing the border.
You secure the border with substantial resources and personnel and physical structures, a wall, watch towers.
And this is this isn't even controversial unless you oppose national security and the rule of law.
There's nothing controversial about securing the border.
Unless you listen to La Raza, unless you listen to the blame America First Crow.
