Time Text
And welcome back.
Great to have you here, Rush Lindboss, serving humanity simply by showing up.
Right here behind the golden EIB microphone.
Telephone number 800-28282, the email address Hillrushbaugh at EIB net.com from the Daily Beast.
The website, $10 million in the red, run by Tina Brown out there.
Katie Curick calls us the unwashed masses.
Just mentioned in passing my Howard Kurtz.
The CBS anchor nearing the end of her contract signs points surprisingly, her staying put.
Howard Kurtz talks to her about her salary, her next move, and her love of the campaign trail.
Rick Kaplan, her exec producer, says that when she's on the road in Iraq with David Petraya, she has a great way with people.
People like her, she likes them.
There are anchors who consider being on the road a pain in the butt.
She really looks for the opportunities to feel the earth and to touch the people.
That's why Currick has spent recent weeks in Chicago.
Philadelphia, Boston, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
She's touring what she calls this great unwashed middle of the country.
Quote, unquote, in an effort to def divine the mood of the midterm.
This is exactly how the ruling class thinks of us.
She was trying to be complimentary.
The perky Katie Curick, and Kurtz, of course, didn't even bat an eye at the great unwashed line.
She was trying to be complimentary.
This uh LA Times piece, Republicans offer few health care alternatives.
Conservatives are campaigning on promises to repeal Obama's overhaul, but a few admit that their proposals haven't changed much in the last few years.
Now this is just patently absurd.
There are all kinds of alternatives to this.
The big alternative is eliminate Obamacare.
The next alternative is eliminate Obamacare.
Next alternative is eliminate Obamacare.
What else is there?
What is Obamacare going to do?
Well, I know we got to keep keep the best parts and give what best parts.
Nobody ever mentions the best parts.
They just say we gotta we've got to keep the best parts to get rid of the bad parts.
What best parts?
Nobody ever specifies.
What the best parts are.
Well, not sure.
Some people say uh uh uh best parts include uh uh uh pre-existing condition coverage.
Well that's not insurance.
That's that's just welfare.
Driving up the cost of everything else and keeping your kids on your policy till they're 26.
I mean, it's yeah, let's keep that.
Let's drive up the cost of everything.
I mean, Obamacare takes away your choice of your doctor, takes away your choice of your own plan.
We want to keep that.
Well, I mean this is absurd.
Republicans don't have any alternatives.
So they're admitting Obamacare sucks.
They're admitting it's an absolute disaster.
But instead of saying that, Republicans don't have any better idea, so shit up.
That's that's the brilliance of the Los Angeles Times.
Let's go to the audio sound bites, shall we?
We have an intriguing roster of sound bites today.
We're going to start at number nine this morning on Morning Joe.
PMS, NBC.
The guest is Charlie Cook, editor and publisher of the Cook Political Report.
Joe Scarborough says, What's your number right now?
Are there more seats actually in play in the House now than at any time since you've been doing this?
We've got about a hundred seats in play.
There was some times back in the early 90s when it got up a little higher than that, but it's been a long time since we've had anything like this happening.
We're looking at, you know, our sort of official range is somewhere between Republican gain of 48 to 60.
My hunch is this is around the size of 1994 when it was eight and fifty-two, but it could go higher than that.
Eight and fifty-two, that's the Senate was eight.
The House was 52.
Um what are your what's your prediction, sir?
You have a prediction on this.
I'll make up what's your prediction?
Give me House and Senate.
Okay, sir, 11 Senate seat pickup in the uh in the Senate.
What about the House?
Okay, so Snerdley, 55 House, 11 Senate.
I like the number 69.
So I'm gonna say 60 House, nine Senate.
And it could be, as Charlie Cook says, it could be higher.
I mean, you got a hundred seats in play.
You got a hundred seats in play.
Do you know in fact some of the seats.
Damn it, I should have printed this out and I didn't.
Um, but I did commit some of it to memory.
I don't know the guy's name.
I don't remember the guy's name, but there is a district, a North Carolina four.
This district has been garrymandered specifically to be a Democrat district in perpetuity.
It includes Chapel Hill.
It includes Durham.
This race has been moved into the in-play column by Charlie Cook from safe to in play.
And there are Peter DeFasio, another guy there are eight of these that are supposedly Democrat locks forever, have been moved to in play.
Uh Peter DeFasio.
Peter DeFazia, what did Peter DeFazia?
He's in the news for proposing something.
I was reading it last night, and I thought, you know, I thought I did print it.
I may be having printing problems.
Uh DeFasio just proposed something that's that's I'll find it.
I'll remember what it is.
But it's clearly oriented toward the election.
It's absurd what he's proposing.
Democrats would like it, but it never happened.
Um so Scarborough said, well, look, what are the chances on the other side that the Democrats hold onto the House by one or two seats?
Is there any chance of that?
To be honest, I think the odds are higher that it's over 60 than it's under 40.
There's always a chance.
We're talking about human nature.
I'll be sacking groceries if that's happening.
So here's Scarborough.
I don't know what he's doing.
Asking Charlie Cook, is it possible?
Is it possible Democrats can hold on by a couple seats?
Is it possible, Charlie?
And Charlie says, to be honest, I think the odds are higher that it's over sixty that it's under 40.
I'll be sacking groceries if your scenario happens, Joe.
Okay, and then Obama, this yesterday on the uh Al Sharpton radio show.
It's a call keeping it real.
Obama was the guest.
Sharpton's question, even though your name isn't on the ballot.
This is about your agenda, about the progress we've seen you begin to make over the past 20 odd months.
Well, a lot of your listeners may live in places where there's early voting.
And if you've got early vote, take advantage of it now.
The key is to make sure everybody understands this election is is important.
My name may not be on the ballot, but uh our agenda for moving the forward is on the ballot, and I need everybody to turn out.
It's agenda is on the ballot.
Absolutely.
Happy to note that his agenda is on the ballot.
David Price, North Carolina 4.
Now, this is this is I want you to stop and think of something.
And I am dead serious about this.
It may sound funny to you, it may sound like I'm trying to be my usual sarcastically funny.
I'm not.
I'm dead serious about this.
Think how far.
Think how low the office of the presidency has declined.
And.
If Obama is happy to appear on a program hosted by such a race baiter.
Al Sharpton.
Self-appointed reverend.
Think of how low.
It used to be presidents wouldn't deign to do Sunday shows.
That was beneath them.
Clinton changed all that by playing a saxophone with Johnny Carson.
But oh, it was Arsenio Hall.
That's right, Arsenio.
Yeah.
Carson wouldn't even go that low for his own show.
If Clinton on.
Yeah, Peter DeFazia wants to impeach John Roberts for perjury during his confirmation hearings.
It's over the Citizens United case.
This case, Citizens United, which simply affirms the constitutionality of people who work at corporations to be able to make political donations.
The left is fit to be tied over this.
They just can't abide this.
Corporations are evil.
And they and they think that Roberts just lied through his teeth during his confirmation hearings.
So Peter DeFasio wants to impeach Justice Roberts.
Now I know where I saw this.
I saw it, it was a national review online.
There was an intellectual response to this.
And I thought, and it was a brilliant intellectual response.
But an intellectual response is not what's called for here.
An intellectual response is taking DeFasio's premise seriously.
So who is DeFasio?
Big whoop and member of Congress wants to impeach John Roberts.
So we get into gear with an intellectual reply.
No.
Response needs to be political and ideological.
It's insane.
It is pure politics.
There's nothing about law.
There's nothing about the Constitution that is at the root of DeFezio's desire to impeach John Roberts.
DeFasio wants to get rid of a conservative on the court, pure and simple, without cause and for no justification whatsoever.
Anyway, his district has been moved from safe to toss-up.
David Price is North Carolina 4, which includes Chapel Hill and Durham.
Durham, for those of you who don't live there.
It's kind of like Louisville for those of you who don't live live there.
Louisville, for those of you who do.
So it's a it's a uh an amazing thing to sit here.
Look at all of this.
Here's DeFasio.
Get rid of John Roberts and and and Obama appearing on the Al Sharpton show in an effort to get out the vote.
Stunning but true.
Let's move to audio soundbite number 13.
This is the White House, the press briefing.
Robert Fibbs during the QA, reporter, said when then Senator Obama was advocating for Senator Kerry for president prominently.
Isn't what he was trying to do is to make sure that President Bush was a one-term president?
There's a difference, but look, again, there'll be time for an active presidential campaign.
Okay?
And maybe Senator McConnell's interested in running for president.
There's time for a presidential campaign.
There'll be time for a political campaign.
But members of the Senate are elected and hired by the people of the United States to get stuff done for the people of the United States.
Not to posture and play political games, gum up the system.
Now, what's Phibbs talking about here?
You want to know what Fibbs is talking about?
Fibbs is talking about something McConnell said.
McConnell said, and I know he means this.
The number one objective of the Republican Party in the U.S. Senate will be to prevent Obama's reelection in 2012.
That's what that's what McConnell has his number one objective.
So they asked Fibbs about it, and Fibbs gives his derailed off the rails response.
And the reporter said, well, wait a minute.
I mean, you guys, Obama was talking about making making sure that Bush was a one terminal that Kerry got elected.
Well, that was different.
Why was it different?
Well, it was just different because Obama's Obama and McConnell's McConnell.
Clearly irritated.
Clearly bugged.
Okay, brief time out.
We've got much more straight ahead on this.
The Rush Limbaugh program and the EIB network.
Don't go away.
Many people wondering what the Republicans ought to do when it comes to Obamacare.
There's an excuse being floated.
Well, you know, Rush, they really can't override the presidential veto.
There's really not much they can do.
A lot of Republicans are looking for a pass.
So during the Heritage Foundation's weekly bloggers briefing, a conference call with conservative blogger, Senator Tom Colburn spoke.
And during the QA, he was asked, what do you think is the practical way forward in the next Congress for dealing with Obamacare as passed?
I think the best strategy is to offer a repeal bill and try to pass that bill.
And if you can't pass it the first time and offer it again the next month and offer it again the next month, I think the strategy is you offer repeal bills and then you offer limiting amendments on appropriation bills and make the president veto them.
Ultimately the way you repeal this thing is to change the president in 2012.
But I like the idea.
Repeal it monthly.
Offer a repeal bill month.
Hell, offer one daily.
But Myth or Limbo, Mr. Limbo, don't you realize that your party will end up looking like a joke.
I'm hearing a lot of people say Russia will look like a joke if that's all we do.
No, but it's not going to be all they do, but offering a repeal bill every month.
Folks, there's one or two, three, four good reasons why there's going to be a Republican sweep, and one of them is not to go there and wait until 2012 for hopefully a Republican to win the White House.
Nobody is going to the polls Tuesday to elect Republicans to go to Washington and wait for 2012 to try to make something happen.
You can attach repeal measures in the always existing omnibus appropriation bill.
You can defund it.
You can play legislative tricks here.
You can put it in a piece of legislation Obama has to sign.
That's what the Democrats always did with Bush.
If you think there's going to be patience to wait to do anything about this until 2012 when we might win the White House, you are sadly mistaken.
You may not be there in 2012.
Nobody is voting Tuesday to send anybody to Washington to wait.
But Mr. Limbaugh, Mr. Limbaugh, what can they do?
They're not going to have the vote to be able to beat the president.
You continue the education, Mr. Newcastravi.
You continue to point out where this man's agenda will take the country.
You make every effort to stop it because you love the country.
You make every effort to stop it because you disagree on principle and in kind with the with the president's agenda.
This is not hard.
By that I mean the strategy here is not hard.
The idea is not hard.
The work is, of course.
It's not hard to figure out what to do.
Let's say it one more time.
Thank you.
Republicans are not being sent to Washington on Tuesday to sit around for two years and wait for a Republican to maybe win the White House in 2012.
Here's Patty in uh Naugat, Connecticut.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hi.
Good afternoon, Rush, and thank you for taking my call.
Yes, madam.
I um yesterday morning I was uh reading our newspaper and I came up by an editorial, and it's written by Kevin Hassett, who's the director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute.
Mm-hmm.
And he entitled his uh editorial Foreign Money Pours in on left.
Without going through the details, it is a very revealing article, lengthy, and the bottom line is this.
Uh, the bottom line is that foreign money is being put into the unions, funneled into the unions, and it's making its way to the public activities.
And in fact, um the unions received at least forty-six million dollars from foreign sources in 2008 alone.
The money that goes into this union right now is total without transparency in how it has been spent, because they repealed the Obama administration a T1 deal detailing, which it which passes the unions fill out a report on transparency.
So there's no transparency now on how this money's being spent.
And this tells you what?
And this tells us that when they were talking about the Chamber of Comets, this is the pot calling the kettle black.
This is when legend becomes fact.
Well uh exactly it's a good lesson.
When the Democrats accuse us of something odds are they're already doing it.
Good lesson to learn there.
Reno, Nevada this Jeff, great to have you on the program.
Hi.
Wow, uh thank you.
And greetings from right outside the door of Sharon Angels headquarters in Reno.
Thank you, sir.
Well you know I can prove to you I'm still a Democrat by ways I could think of to spend your money.
I think you should triple your phone bank because when people find out how hysterical it is to be on hold and hear the stuff you put in in place of commercials no wonder you have people who joyfully sit on hold for an hour or longer.
It it was a pleasure sir.
You have the institute I'm glad you're entertained very entertained.
I have I'm calling for the voters of my former home of California of I my my wife was fourth generation I'm third generation we go back to the 1870s but we have fled.
And it has occurred to me that if the Californians send Jerry Brown to the State House who is beholden to uh public employees and he's going to strangle the business in the state because he's beholden to the environmentalist crazies.
Tell you what tell you what hold your thought uh I thought I had a minute more than I have I gotta go to commercial timeout here.
But be patient.
You've waited this long three more minutes won't kill you.
Uh Mike Rup to audio soundbite number 15 and in order but back now to Jeff in Reno Nevada who fled his uh beloved California with his third generation fourth generation wife you're third generation and you're now in Nevada standing outside Sharon Angle campaign headquarters that's a fact and you know what?
Well you have me on old people have come off the freeway to see me here on my cell phone and ask me if I'm talking a rush.
I said yes I I got uh three people now that wanted me to pass on dittoes, mega dittoes and double ditto So we thank you, sir.
Well you're more than welcome sir.
Thank you.
Making them famous uh here on the EIB network in uh the biggest little city in the world here you're making me a local small town fame.
Anyway my warning is for and I hope you'll let me say something to the voters of Nevada afterward but I'm thinking about the people I left in California.
If they send Jerry Brown and uh you know if they continue to drive their state into bankruptcy they're on their own because this new Congress is not going to bail them out.
So they gotta pick somebody who can get them through tough times the next two to four years.
Well let me ask you a question about that.
How many Californians I'm serious now how many Californians do you think really expect the feds to bail them out at the end of the day to get out of this problem.
Is that is that what they're doing the SEIU is that what they're thinking I I'm they're they're on a collision course with reality what are they all smoking dope?
I don't know what they're thinking but you sooner or later the Piper has to be the reason I ask is that you called here to warn them that they expect to be bailed out that it ain't gonna happen if Jerry Moonbeam is the governor because the Congress going to be Republican they're gonna want to help Moonbeam.
So my question is how many Californians are sitting around thinking that a bailout is coming their way to get them out of this mess.
I'm genuinely curious.
I mean, when you factor the marijuana crowd out there, the amount of money being spent on legalizing marijuana, therefore the amount of people zoned out, I mean, how many people are focused in here on bailing the state out?
Well, you know liberals better than I do, and I used to be one.
Thank God I started listening to your program.
I know liberals better than you do, and you used to be one.
Well, I guess it is something to impart to California.
Well, I'll be glad to spread the message.
Hey, you people.
people in California if expecting to be bailed out it ain't gonna happen if Moonbeam's elected because the Republicans gonna run Congress and the last thing on their mind is going to be helping out Moonbeam.
How's that?
Can I say something yeah thank you can I say something to the voters in Nevada.
Yeah you're on the roll go for it.
Well the thing is this I think California is not going to choose wisely.
They're probably going to make yet another mistake.
And uh more people are going to be leaving California.
And probably it's going to be the taxpayers, not the tax consumers.
So the question is, where are they going to go?
And I know Arizona, Arizona is showing themselves to be a conservative state, and uh they're being sued by Obama for it.
Now, Nevada is a beautiful place.
And if we choose wisely, if we choose angle, if we choose people, we'll send a message to those people in California wondering where to go, we'll send the message that this is a good place to look at.
So you want Californians to move to Nevada.
I would recommend it.
You would recommend it.
This is this is unique.
I live in Florida, and I want to keep people out of here.
I've I don't I'm just kidding.
But I mean, you know, you want people to move nor I was expecting you to say go to Idaho or something.
Well, we Because we're talking about liberals, man.
You you're telling me people are going to flee in the state of California, including a bunch of liberals.
I mean, who's there?
Where are they going to go?
You want liberals flooding the state of Nevada?
Oh, not at all.
Not that.
And send them to Oregon.
Send them up to Washington.
Well, let the Liberals go to Oregon and Washington.
But if people have a business that's being driven out of California, they could bring it to Reno.
We're we're friendly.
And we've got a lot of natural beauty up here, great golf courses.
Right.
Uh we have more resources than uh that I used to think there are up here before I moved here.
And we've got a great inventory of bargain basement price real estate.
Yeah.
Fantastic.
Unemployment, I think in Las Vegas is at 15%.
Maybe it's Nevada wine, but I know that's there are some opportunities in Vegas.
Ben Rothisberger loves Reno, I know that.
Well, we we have been hurt by government policies and by Harry Reed.
And it's amazing how he's just he's got his tentacles into everything, so that you've got all kinds of Republicans in the political class coming out for him.
But if you want to talk about people in the country class, I'm still a registered Democrat.
I'm not only voting for Sharon Angle, I'm working for Sharon Engel.
That's why you're standing outside her office, then.
Well good.
I'm glad you called out there, Jeff.
Thanks much, and uh and and all the best to you.
Let's see, who's next?
Rob in uh Douglas, Massachusetts.
Welcome to the Rush Limbaugh program.
Nice to have you here.
Well, greetings, Russ, from the conservative side of Massachusetts.
Uh wonderful to have you, sir.
Thank you.
I uh I've been a uh student of yours for pushing twenty years now, and I was wondering if you'd give me a your opinion on a thought that I've been having lately, and that is right now the U.S. Treasury is dumping a lot of money into stocks, keeping the stock market afloat, and you you've talked about it several times.
Yep.
What is your opinion of this thought?
Do you do you think it's possible that after the election when there's a landslide, that all of a sudden the treasury will stop pumping as much money into the stock market, and the stock market would go down, and Obama would then say that you know the stocks business are a little bit nervous.
It looked it's entirely possible.
I know what you're thinking.
Um the Fed is is pumping money uh to corporations and individuals to buy stock and it's artificially keeping the stock market up.
People are well, what what's going on with the market?
How can this possibly be?
The Fed is um uh th th this is version of stimulus is what they're saying.
Now, whether they stop it after the election for political reasons or or otherwise, it it can't go on.
I mean, they've got to stop it at some point.
Now the root of his question is is this being done to prop up Democrats' chances in this election to make the economy look stable and make Wall Street sing and shine so as to convey that the economy at large is actually okay.
Create the illusion that everything's cool.
But then after the election's over and the Republicans win everything, will they pull back and make it look like, oh my God, the economy's going to hell because the Republicans have won.
Anything like that's possible.
However, there's a mitigating circumstance, Rob, and that is that in many instances, the market is going to be populated by people happy.
That Congress has changed hands.
But it is true what's been what's been happening with the stock market is a bubble.
I mean, it's it's it's gotta it's gotta burst at some point.
This is a bit artificial.
This is the Fed pumping liquidity and circuitous routes into the stock market.
And it's it's gotta give at some point.
Uh just like all these other stimulus plans have to eventually give up.
Whether or not this is being done purposely to redound negatively to the Republicans after the election.
Maybe we'll have to wait and see.
Don't intend, however, to let that happen.
Glad you called.
Gotta take a break, be right back with more right after this.
Back to the phones.
We go to Denton, Texas.
This is Bill, and it's great to have you on the EIB network, sir.
Hello.
Hello, Rush.
Uh make it to those one time listener.
I'm caller.
I have uh knowledge of the District 4 race because my son is the challenger.
BJ Lawson's your son?
Yes, BJ Lawson is the first time.
BJ Lawson's running against uh uh idiot David Price, North Carolina 4.
Charlie Cook just moved that race into toss-up or into it, at least it's in play from a solid Democrat.
This district has been garrymandered uh to be Democrat in perpetuity till the end of time till the sun blows up.
Uh Durham and North Carolina and includes Chapel Hill.
And BJ's your son.
Yes, he is.
And he is a rush baby.
In fact, and one of his uh campaigns is Dr. B. J. Lawson, he uh said, Yep, I grew up on a Rush Limbaugh under the national.
Well, uh, this is a I mean, this is a humbling honor.
I mean, this is uh I uh you have made my day here.
Because I did not know this.
You made my day.
I knew that B.J. Lawson was the challenger, but I had no idea it was a rush baby.
You know, I could assume that every young conservative is, but I don't go that far.
My ego won't allow me to.
Uh, but you have you made my day here.
Well, well, th well, thank you.
We appreciate everything you do, Rush, and uh, you know, we appreciate the fact that you're helping us, you know, fight the good fight.
Well, and I th, you know, uh I really appreciate that, but I have said um throughout the course of this program, it's people like your son who are doing the heavy lifting.
Here, BJ Lawson, North Carolina 4.
This is a this is a district.
When I when I tell you that it has been Garrymandered, it's some people say gerrymandered, it's named after a guy named Gary, but don't email me on a nitpick pronunciation here.
Jerry Garryman say pronounce it both ways.
Point is this district has been drawn to make sure that nobody but a Democrat holds it forever.
Chapel Hill and Durham and surrounding areas.
And so here's a guy, B. J. Lawson.
This is like running for emperor of Rome back in the old day.
You didn't do it.
Uh and to do this.
Now, granted, it is a it's a unique year when the Obama agenda has driven the Democrat Party genuinely over the cliff and in a ditch, but still, this is a uh I mean, this is something to be very, very proud of, and there are a lot of BJ Lawsons all over the country who are tackling these supposed safes like up but Barney Frank.
Uh Sean Bylet taking on, or by lot taking on Barney Frank.
I mean, you talk about a race that nobody would ever think would be competitive, and it is.
Now, North Carolina 4, um, BJ Lawson's being outspent two to one, and it's neck and neck.
Look, when the guru, Charlie Cook moves this from safe to in play.
That's not insignificant.
And Charlie Cook doesn't do this with relish.
When they move a district like North Carolina, Florida in play, it is panic time.
So this is great to know.
BJ Lawson, a real live rush baby.
Not expecting an inheritance, by the way.
Don't get the wrong idea.
Still a lot of rush babies out there, but they're not heirs.
It's Belot.
Sean B. Lot in Massachusetts.
And some of these other districts, like Peter Defazio in Oregon.
That's a lock, too, supposedly.
And that Charlie Cook has just moved that race to in play.
There are eight of them.
As of yesterday.
And North Carolina four is uh one of them.

John in San Diego, great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Rush, wow, thanks for taking my call.
Hey, uh, I'm a union construction worker down here in San Diego, and uh you were talking earlier about how 76% of Americans know of somebody out of work looking for work, and um I have to correct you on that.
Um there's a large percentage of in certain trades that aren't even trying to look for work right now.
It's ridiculous.
That's sadly true.
And uh now caller from Reno was talking about the election.
Our uh our union is always saying, you know, vote for Obama, he's got shovel-ready jobs, and just the other day I heard Obama say there ain't no such thing as a shovel ready job, and and now we're being sold a bill of goods.
Let me tell you so there is such a thing as a shovel-ready agenda, and it's his, and we're gonna start burying it with the shovel on Tuesday.
Yeah, they're shoveling something, but I don't know, I don't think it's uh dirt, but um Yeah, they're selling us the new bill of goods with uh moonbeam and saying we gotta vote for them, and uh but yeah, it's just ridiculous what they do to get elected and what they say.
You know, dingy Harry said that the illegal aliens do not hurt unemployment.
Is that true of the construction business?
Oh, that's uh that's well, believe believe what you want to hear.
Um that's a good one.
Well, of course I don't believe it if Harry Reid said it, but I just wanted to get it from you the horse's mouth because you're in the business.
Yeah, well, on the union side, not so much because they you gotta get vetted out more, you gotta have, you know, your documents in line, but even in the union Oh, come on.
No, but you gotta have a social security number, and they they do uh not a problem.
They do trade them.
I know guys with a job that trade them.
You know, they work for a few months and then they give it to their homeboy and they come up and exactly right.
Look, look, uh thanks much, John, for the call.
I appreciate it.
I wish I had more time, but I don't.
I just wanted to point out B.J. Lawson, North Carolina 4, gave out more than 50,000 copies of the United States Constitution during the course of his campaign.
And I'll wager in many cases, some people were seeing and reading it for the first time.
A closing thought.
A lot of people, and you know who You are sat out 2006 and 2008.
You were so mad at the Republicans and you wanted to let the Democrats win just to show everybody how bad it could be.
All right, we see how bad it can be and how much worse it can get.
So don't sit this one out if you care at all about the future of this country.
See you tomorrow, folks.
