Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Well, the Obama administration, the regime, a Democrat Party continue to crack up.
It's almost unprecedented.
You go through the news, I mean, the state control media.
They're not buying this foreign money stuff.
They do not like it.
They are trying to get the Democrats and Obama to drop it.
They do not like this whole business of the Chamber of Commerce being labeled an enemy and a foreign agent.
Obama's losing support everywhere you look.
And he's the only guy that doesn't care about it.
Greetings, folks, great to have you here.
This is from Bloomberg.
Yeah, Rush Limbaugh, EIB network.
Obama loses support in poll as joblessness prompts growing U.S. discontent.
Hope is turned to doubt and disenchantment for almost half of Obama's supporters.
The author of this piece of Mike Dorning.
More than four of ten likely voters who say they once considered themselves Obamaites, are either now either less supportive or say they no longer support him at all.
According to a Bloomberg National poll conducted October 7th through the 10th, three weeks before the decisive November the second landslide elections.
Congressional elections of Republicans are trying to make a referendum on Obama.
Fewer than Republicans don't have to even try to do that.
Which we're going to get in.
By the way, folks, we're going to get into this.
I told you I talked to a ranking Republican last week.
And uh it's well, we'll just somebody have to update that.
It is sit tight.
We'll get there in due course.
This line here, Republicans are trying to make a referendum on Obama.
Republicans trying to make it a referendum for crying out loud.
Obama's making it a referendum on Obama.
Republicans are sitting around twiddling their thumbs by design.
The House Republicans have their pledge, but everywhere else it's pretty much.
I mean, they will they will tell you.
If you ask them, if you ask ranking Republicans, what is this election all about?
It's entirely 100% of vote against incumbents, against Democrats.
It's not for Republicans, and they need to take advantage of that in a proactive way at some point.
As I say, uh more on this as the program unfolds.
Uh Charlie Cook, who is the guru of political pollsters and predictors and so forth inside the beltway.
Uh is is his latest dispatch, moving five more races from safe for the Democrats to competitive.
Safe to leaning to toss up to lean Republican.
Uh there are Texas District 22.
These are all solid Democrat moving to likely Democrat.
They're moving toward the Republican, and they're still three weeks out, so there's plenty of room for the movement to continue.
New Mexico District 3, Minnesota District 8, Massachusetts District 4, and Arizona District 7.
The name's irrelevant right now.
You wouldn't know them, and nobody does.
They're just, but they're solid uh Democrat districts that are now starting to uh to tighten up.
And now 40 to 45% of Obama voters are showing discontent or abandonment, and it's based entirely on the economy.
And here from CNN Money.com.
As bad as job losses were during the recession, we're about to find out that things were even worse.
Yeah, because we have to be told this by the government, otherwise we might not have noticed.
Hey, CNN, I hate to tell you, we've known things are worse than what the government has been saying because we are living it.
And now so is Rick Sanchez.
He could probably report accurately on this for the first time in a long time.
Being out of well, he's probably got some severance pay package out there.
Oh, get this.
MT no, Comedy Central.
Who who runs who runs the Stuart Comedy Central?
Okay, they're putting out a memo, all their employees begging them to go to his mock the people rally.
You know, they're trying to try to outdo the thing that happened to Glenn Beck on August 28th, and now they're out there, they're they're begging for there's no grassroots for this thing at all.
It's purely a um Which everybody knows.
But it won't be covered that way if they if they do get.
I mean, I saw the other day that Ariana huffing in Puffington.
And I was able to understand what she said because it was written.
I didn't need a translator listening to her.
She's chartered what?
$250,000 worth of buses.
Free buses.
To uh put people on to bust them down to Washington for the mock the people rally.
Uh and they know what they're up against.
They've got to turn out a lot of people, or the only people going to be laughed at are them, and they're used to being left with.
Not left at.
The government, back to CNN's pathetic effort here, uh the government currently estimates 2.2 million jobs were lost from April of 2009 through March of this year.
A significant portion of the 7.8 million jobs lost since the start of 2008, but in little noticed uh reports, a little noticed report.
At the bottom of September's jobs report, the labor department said it now appears there were 366,000 additional jobs lost during the 12 months that ended in March, a revision not yet included in the official numbers.
I'm sorry, CNN, we've been on a cutting edge about this.
We told people last week about this, because we read last week all the way to the bottom of the report, we didn't wait for you at CNN to do it.
We have been making note of the revisions of jobless numbers every week.
And one of the reasons why the government is uh massaging these numbers and revising them is to make them look not as bad every week because they're changing the baseline every week.
They've even gone so far as to change the baseline of available jobs to get.
One of the ways they have keeping the unemployment number below 10% is to simply report that there are less jobs to be had.
So therefore, unemployment as a percentage is able to stay consistent.
If they had kept the number of jobs available, what they were before all this happened, well, we would be looking at 10 to 12 percent in the U3, which is what being reported.
So they're making, I mean, it's it's everything here is is being doctored.
And to illustrate, I you see a story like this, and you want to laugh.
And then you say to yourself, it wouldn't be cool to laugh.
And then you're overcome with you still want to laugh.
This is from uh Wall Street Journal.
It was Saturday.
Buried, the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.
Teacher who served as symbol of jobs measure gets laid off.
It's just delicious.
For a while, it looked like a federal measure aimed at supporting teachers and other state and local workers had helped save Amanda Van Ness's job.
It turned out it was only a temporary reprieve.
In July, a 25-year-old Ms. Van Ness lost her job teaching kindergarten at Pickett elementary school in Toledo, a result of cuts that came after voters rejected an income tax increase aimed at shoring up a budget deficit at the Toledo Public School District.
Once again, there were no other places to cut in all of the Toledo budget.
Only the teachers, only the cops, only the firemen, as is Deruger.
In August, the White House had contacted Ms. Van Ness and her union and invited her in uh to Washington to watch as the House in a special one-day session passed the $26 billion plan to save teachers' jobs, and then she was invited to stand by Obama as he signed a bill in the Oval Orifice, and the journal runs that picture.
Picture of Obama signing it with a left hand, by the way, left-handedness in mails.
Uh they've now found out it's a it's a case indication of poor potty training in the formative years.
Anyway, this is the woman, the teacher is standing Looking at Obama's sign this legislation.
The idea was with this bill passing, it was going to give teachers a better chance of being called back, Ms. Van Ness said.
That's not how it was sold to the American people at the time.
We were told the money would be used to make sure no teachers lost their jobs.
Remember, we were told specifically this $26 billion, above and beyond the original porculus, was so teachers wouldn't lose their jobs.
And remember, we tracked it.
We followed it.
And the Los Angeles Unified School District said, Yeah, we're happy for the money, but we're not going to spend it on hiring teachers.
We're going to hold on to the money and make sure that if we can't, we don't have to lay any up.
We're not going to be fine, hiring anybody.
So, Ms. Van Ness district in Toledo received seven and a half million dollars of federal stimulus money.
The day before school started in late August, the school district called Ms. Van Ness back to work on a one-year basis teaching second grade.
But even with the injection of federal dollars, the district's budget troubles have led them to increase class size, cut athletics programs, fire crossing guards, and reduce bus services.
Fire crossing guards.
So now they are putting children at risk crossing the street?
Chids are dying everywhere out there, folks, under this regime.
They're dying everywhere from sugared soft drinks to...
Now the crossing guards are gone.
The stimulus couldn't save them.
Amen.
Some parents have responded by pulling their children from the Toledo public schools.
High unemployment of the area also prompting some families to move away.
The upshot of all this is that with enrollment down by 5.4% this year.
The school district just put through another round of cuts.
Ms. Van Ness was laid off again last week.
So the 26 million dollars money that she watched the House pass and watched Obama sign, she was the symbol of this money saving her job.
She's out.
After one or two weeks of the scroll year, along with the uh the crossing guards, and whoever knows what else.
You don't know what's in it till you sign it.
It's just like Pelosi with a health, but you don't know what it's in it until he signs it.
You don't know what's in it until we pass it.
So here's this woman used as a prop.
Something the Democrats commonly do.
She is the symbol, the symbol of Democrat Party compassion, the symbol of this regime making sure that no jobs will be lost.
Union jobs, teacher jobs.
She's front and center, signing or watching Obama sign the picture.
After two weeks, she's gone because her real purpose came and went.
Her value is not as a teacher.
Her value to Obama was not as a teacher.
Her value was as a photo-op prop.
And she played the role well.
And they managed to get the story buried in the Saturday Wall Street Journal, one of the least read of the entire week issues or editions of the Wall Street Journal.
And the teachers laid off because student enrollment went down.
Not because they didn't have enough money.
But because enrollment went down because people are fleeing Toledo.
That's just scratching the service.
Surface.
Lots more.
Straight ahead, right after this.
You're guiding light to trouble.
Times of trouble.
Tumult and chaos.
Yeah.
Inexplicable events.
And even the good times.
El Rush Ball, the all-knowing, all seeing, all sensing, all feeling, all carrying, all everything Maha Russia yesterday on this program.
If you were listening, you heard me utter these words.
I also don't buy that Christine O'Donnell's down double digits in Delaware.
I don't buy it.
A lot of people do, but I don't.
I think that Delaware race is a lot closer than anybody thinks right now.
I just I'm sorry, I'm simply voicing my suspicions, which are intelligence guided by experience.
I know with whom I am dealing.
Anne Cornblut in the Washington Post today headline Obama's Delaware trip is chance to keep O'Donnell on radar.
As President Obama steps up his campaign schedule this week, one event is something of a head scratcher.
His trip to Delaware on Friday to campaign for Democrat senatorial candidate Chris the Marxist Koons.
Now why?
Two things.
This guy supposedly up double digits over this neophyte witch.
Christine O'Donnell.
I mean, this ought to be someplace they ought not have to send the president or even a penny.
This race, if we are to believe the conventional wisdom, is already over.
And Chris Koons has the seat nailed down.
Christine O'Donnell doesn't have a chance.
And Kornblut writes, Kuons, of course, appears to be running well ahead of Republican nominee Christine O'Donnell, even in the White House on assessment.
Delaware still leans Democrat since the primary defeat of moderate Republican Mike Castle.
Democrats have been favored to win.
But that's beside the point.
Campaigning for Koons and more important against O'Donnell gives Obama a chance to remind voters nationwide about her, whom Democrats have gleefully embraced as an example of an extreme conservative.
So we are to believe that they're sending Obama into Delaware, not to campaign for Chris Koons, but to use this as an opportunity to illustrate what a wing nut Christine O'Donnell is.
Really, the president of the United States has got so much free time on his hands.
They have assessed genuine value in sending him to Delaware to expose Christine O'Donnell.
Something's not right besides everywhere they send Obama, a candidate he goes in and endorses loses.
Is that not true?
I've never heard of this.
They want to try to characterize the entire Republican in a year where four out of ten Obama supporters don't like him, disagree with him, are abandoning him.
In a year where it looks like the Republicans are going to totally take over the House of Representatives and maybe even get 50 votes in the Senate in a year that's totally tilting Republican.
Because it's a referendum on Obama.
The Washington Post wants us to believe that they're going to go in there and campaign for Chris Koons because it's a chance to show the country what a weirdo Christine O'Donnell is.
My friends, my original assessment here is correct.
He's not up by double digits.
Obama's not going in there because it's a chance.
Saturday Night Live is already making fun of Christine O'Donnell.
Bill Mars already doing it.
The whole Democrat establishment's having fun with Christine O'Donnell.
They don't need to send Obama in there to do this.
They're sending Obama in there for one reason.
Koons is in trouble.
And their internals must show it.
And I want to play for you an ad.
Now, all of you who you got mad at me when I told you I didn't like the ad where she started saying I'm a witch.
I thought, well, you know what I said about it.
Now this ad is running in Delaware as of yesterday.
It's a web ad.
It's called Coons the Tac Man.
Coons the tax man has been paid for by friends of Christine O'Donnell.
Listen to this ad.
It runs 54 big seconds.
In America, where jobs are being lost and wages cut.
In Delaware, where the economy is suffering, and families are losing their homes.
There is one man Who stood against the tide and raised taxes?
One man who thought that a 911 call should be taxed.
One man who thought property taxes should be hyped almost 50%.
One man who is county executive from Newcastle County on the brink of bankruptcy.
Hide you will hide your rights.
Because he's taxing everything out here.
Chris Coons is the tax man.
And then there's a graphic that says uh this ad paid for by friends of Christine O'Donnell.
It's on YouTube.
Um I'm gonna send a link up to Coco, and we'll put the link at Rushlimbo.com because you should see the ad.
It's pretty well done visually in addition to this audio.
Now, this is the kind of thing that I'm well, I'm just it's a good ad.
I'll leave it at that.
I'm glad they're running it.
It's the web only, but it'll go viral now.
We've put it on this show.
They're in trouble in Delaware, I'm telling you.
Redstate.com reported yesterday that the uh the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee, the DSCC, is I mean, they're getting concerned about what's going on in Delaware.
I told you yesterday.
I don't believe this double-digit poll business showing Coons way up there.
And if they if they if they want to expose Christine O'Donnell, why not ask for a debate between Coons and O'Donnell?
She'd do it.
I mean, if if if the really have you ever heard anything like this, they're gonna send in the president of the United States so as to facilitate the exposition of this woman as a nutcase.
Not to help Coons.
Oh no, no.
Why, this is a golden opportunity.
White House tells Ann Corn Bluet on the Washington Post.
It's a wonderful opportunity.
And we have to illustrate just exactly who the Republicans are.
In a year where the Republicans are gonna win by default.
Let's if if she's that crazy, let's have a debate between Christine O'Donnell and Obama while he's in town.
I mean, if you really want to expose her.
Um, my brother, Mr. President, hit a leader of the regime, ask for a debate with Christine O'Donnell.
And we'll even let you stack the audience.
Something, and by the way, I was gonna say, Red State reported yesterday that um the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee is sending the the lady who was on the ground running operations for Carol Shea Porter's congressional bid in New Hampshire.
They're sending her to Delaware to be the field director for Chris Koons canvassing operation, which is a strange expenditure to be making in shifting resources around if the Democrats are so sure that Coons is gonna win this.
And that means that that means they're writing off New Hampshire one.
If we're gonna take this woman out of New Hampshire, send her to Delaware.
That means they're writing off the first district in New Hampshire.
But I guess it's worth it to go in there and expose Christine O'Donnell as the typical wingnut Republican.
You gotta...
This is amazing stuff to watch out there.
All right, the president, our post-racial president, we'll even let Obama bring a teleprompter to the debate.
Obama versus O'Donnell.
And by the way, he's so busy.
Guess what?
He's gonna make time for George Clooney in the Oval Office to discuss either Darfur or the Sudan.
I forgot which causes Clooney's, I think it's Darfer.
Whatever, he's gonna have a meeting with Clooney, and then he's got so much time and such a great opportunity heading into Delaware for Chris Kuhn's attacks.
Oh, by the way, we've posted the video of that ad, Chris Koons the Tax Man at Rushlimbaugh.com.
There's an entire website called CoonsThe Taxman.com.
No WWW in front of it.
It's CoonsTheTaxman.com.
Friends of Christine O'Donnell.
And that's where you can see the ad.
Uh go straight to it if you want to weave link to it at Rushlimbaugh.com.
This is the kind of stuff that is good coming out of the O'Donnell campaign.
So Obama, post-racial, post-partisan, gonna unify everybody.
We've never seen anybody like him.
We have never seen anybody in our politics like this man, who is going to get rid of all the usual divisions in the country.
There won't be any more terrorism attacks.
There won't be any more war.
We're all gonna get together and we're gonna solve global warming.
And we're gonna make sure the United States is cut down to size and punished for all of the illegal things it has done since it was founded.
That's the man we were gonna get.
And yet we have the president.
Sunday in Philadelphia at a moving America Forward rally, not to be confused with the MSNBC slogan lean forward, this won't hurt a bit.
This was a moving America Forward rally.
Here's a portion of what the president said.
See what the other side is counting on.
What they're counting on is you're gonna stay home.
They're counting on your silence.
They're counting on your amnesia.
They're counting on your apathy.
They're counting on young people staying home and union members staying home.
And black folks stay at home.
Aha.
You wait for it and the gem shows up.
Republicans are counting on blacks staying home.
The uh we're we're not counting on blacks staying home.
We are counting on enough votes of our own to overwhelm whoever shows up for Obama.
We don't hope anybody still we welcome them to go vote.
But I want to address this.
Because I think this is this deserves some serious analysis and commentary.
What was it that Bill Clinton said when he went in there to West Virginia to eulogize Robert Byrd?
I'll tell you what he said.
You know, Bob Byrd.
He came, he came from the hills and the hollers here in West Virginia.
And he had he had some things he did in his past he regretted.
They felt sorry for, and he spent every day of his life apologizing.
He made sure everybody knew the truth about that.
But let me tell you something else about Senator Byrd.
He did what he had to do.
He came from the hills and the hollers of West Virginia.
He had to get elected.
He did it for you.
So Bill Clinton was telling the people at the Robert Byrd funeral, he had to not only join the Ku Klux Klan, he had to become a Cyclops or a Kleagel or whatever, he had to be grand Cyclops.
He had to become a recruiter.
He did it for you.
That's what it took for him to get elected.
And so we'll look past it since he spent his day apologizing for it.
He had to do that to get elected.
So, okay, so a tiger is a tiger, a politician's a politician, an election is an election.
I know how people play the political game, and I find it loathsome in the real world.
But it is what it is.
And since politics is how we end up organizing ourselves and our affairs, we have to be involved in it.
But it is stinky, and it is loathsome.
And it's predictable.
We have talking points, the spin, taking credit for everything good, passing the buck for everything bad, the lies, the gaffs, the misspeaks, even the mud slinging.
A tiger is a tiger, especially when a tiger's hungry and a tiger is falling.
And as Bill Clinton told us, you have to do things or say things to win an election.
That's right.
He had to join a Klan.
And I didn't use those words.
I know you know that, but I I know the audience knew what I meant.
He had to join the Klan to get elected.
People in the hills and hollers of West Virginia, a bunch of racist bigots back at the time Bob Bird was running for office.
That's why he had to do what he had to do.
So if you're a Democrat, if you're a liberal, any transgression is perfectly fine.
It's understandable.
It's being done for the people.
But even I, you're all seeing Maharashi.
I never thought.
Well, I can't say I never thought.
I can't say I'm really surprised, but I'm I am I'm I guess I am somewhat surprised from the Messiah.
Such base, pedantic things.
Republicans are counting on blacks to stay home.
I mean, he's playing the race card, reving up racial division, Mr. Unification.
The Messiah.
And now smearing Republican donors.
Charging foreign money buying elections with no proof, no support from the liberal media.
The liberal media doesn't like this.
They're embarrassed of it.
They are asking him to stop it in their own way.
You heard Schiefer on Face the Nation on Sunday.
Is that the best you got?
Is that the best you can do?
They not even comfortable with this.
Loathsome dirty tricks like these are usually the things you hear from the mouths of the forehead.
Or James Carville or other political so-called strategists and operatives on the cable shows.
They're the ones who generally run around and accuse the other guys of being crooks.
But now the president, for a president of the United States to sink to that level.
This is what Bush would never do.
One of the things that many people were upset with Bush about, he would never defend himself.
He would never get down in the gutter with these people on the partisan political stuff.
Didn't want to sully the office of the presidency.
We all disagreed with that.
But Obama apparently has no concern about that whatsoever.
He will sink to whatever level he must sink.
And it's disheartening, it's worrisome, and it's troubling to see this in a president because he's incompass.
He's not.
This is what you get when you had an agitator and a community organizer who has no experience doing anything other than riling people up and dividing people.
This is what you get when you elect one president.
Precisely what you get.
You get demeaning the office, impugning the office.
Now we all know these are challenging times for the country, for the world.
And we have an elected leader who will serve for two more years.
He's going to go off on these kind of ramble-rousing screeds.
He's firstly going to put Carville and Bagala out of work.
This is the kind of thing they run around and say, not presidents, but he's going to diminish the entire office of the presidency, which I think he's doing anyway, and thus he's going to diminish the aura that is the United States of America, which he's doing already, whether by accident or by design, it's happening.
And if it's an accident, he doesn't care to do anything to rectify it.
Perfectly happy with it.
If I were Carville or Bagala, some of these other people on cable, I would I'd call a White House and Axelrod and whoever, and I'd say, look, your president, you let us handle this muck.
You let us deal with this unseemly stuff.
That's our territory.
Stay out of it for the good of the party.
Stay out of it for the good of the country.
Community organizer kicking down the barn is not the image we want to have as the guy leading our party.
Never happen.
Never happened, but you don't see this kind of stuff from the office of the presidency until this guy.
I mean, have we ever had a president who was, and there's no other way to put this.
Have we ever had a president who was such a partisan hack?
Such a race baiter.
This guy was supposed to end all of this.
What a laugh it is that this is the same guy who promised to be beyond partisanship to be post-racial.
I mean, we don't care.
It's never mattered to us.
This is the this is the truth.
The first black president, yeah, fine.
Get over that in one day because it's his policies that count and matter to us.
Not the color of his skin.
We don't care.
We never have cared what his race is.
But he is starting to show his true colors, and he's showing his true colors in times of adversity.
And what do we hear?
Adversity is when we find out who people really are.
Adversity is what tells us what people are made of.
He's not made of much.
If this is how he ends up descending in the throes of adversary.
Adversary and adversity because this is what's facing him with the massive election defeat everybody predicts is coming.
We'll be right back.
Don't go away.
Hey, we got a big time news alert from the New York Times.
Are you ready for this?
The White House is going to lift the ban on deep water drilling for oil.
It'll lift the moratorium.
That's it.
Just in time for the election.
That's gonna really make people vote Democrat, right?
All right, we can go back.
We can safely vote for Democrats now.
They're gonna get rid of the ban on offshore drilling.
Big whoop.
Why can't they bring Biden into Delaware, by the way?
Why does Obama have to go in there?
Obama's a kiss of death.
Obama is a disgrace under pressure.
Everybody looks at adversity.
Got grace under pressure.
Obama's a disgrace under pressure, and if the teleprompter bombs out, it's even worse.
We put the um link also to the O'Donnell ad.
Coons the taxman.com, also on our Facebook page as well.
Uh big government.
Big government is constantly warning us about the power of big business.
I don't know if you've seen this or not.
But salaries and bonuses this year on Wall Street are up.
144 billion, I think.
Despite the best efforts for you, all of it done for you, despite the best efforts of the Obama regime to make sure those ingrates, those fiends on Wall Street finally get what's coming to them.
They're being paid in total a record amount.
This year.
I have no brief for it.
Doesn't matter to me.
I don't care.
And Washington too.
Washington's making out like bandits in this year.
Doesn't matter to me.
All I'm telling you is those of you out there who were told that your only source of happiness was having the rich have it stuck to them.
Well, the rich aren't having it stuck to them, you once again are having it stuck to you.
While you're at 12%, 15% unemployment, the evil Wall Street guys are paying themselves record amounts of money.
And despite all this, it's only big government that can save you from big business, right?
Only big government.
Well, you'd be the judge.
Big tobacco makes you smoke in restaurants.
Not exactly big government forbids it.
Big government forbids you smoking most everywhere.
Big automobile forces you to wear seatbelts when you drive.
Big auto forces you to not use your cell phone when no uh no, no, uh, big government is doing that.
Big H and R block.
They insist that you fill out tax forms you can't even understand.
Uh sorry, that's not big HR block, that's big IRS, big pharmaceutical, big HMOs.
They're creating rules and regulations that are spiraling health care costs out of sight.
Those evil insurance companies and hospitals and doctors are costing you an arm and a leg instead of fixing it.
Uh wrong.
Big government is causing all these regulations and price increases.
Big bicycle forcing your kids to wear plastic helmets, knee pads, and elmopads as they sell you their bis.
Uh No.
Big government is forcing all of that on you.
So while they warn you about the power of big business and all the stuff they're making you do, you really live under the rule of big government.
That's where you're losing your freedom.
That's who's ripping you off.
That's who's screwing you.
Not big business.
I'm still laughing at the idea Obama's being sent into Delaware because it's an opportunity to show Delaware and the rest of the country what a nutcase Christine O'Donnell is.
Delaware already knows.
What nutcases are.
I mean, where does Biden come from?
Export Selection
