Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
I I it's amazing.
They are so on the run.
Do you realize my friends that the partisan political operative media from Eugene Robinson and Washington Post and Maureen Dowd are begging George W. Bush to get involved in the mosque issue to save Obama?
No, I'm I'm not kidding.
They want Bush because he's got credibility on this.
They want Bush to bring out the megaphone again and come out in support of the mosque to bail Obama.
It just and and all of them watching Mess NBC today, and they got all these experts on there saying a Republican Party better not overreach on the mosque business.
And in Pelosi, Pelosi, right out of Joe Stalin's playbook.
Investigate the funding of the people who oppose the mosque.
What we need to start funding is an investigation into Pelosi to get her out of the House of Representatives.
This is unreal.
Yes, she wants to invest.
Let's investigate the 9-11 families.
Let's do that.
Right on, right on.
That's exactly what we should do.
Invest and let's investigate the Tea Party.
This is uh they are so on the run.
It is they have no clue.
They are so drunk with power, they do not realize the damage that they are causing themselves.
They really don't.
Bad generic news to the Democrats.
It's not just Rasmussen its gallop.
I told you this yesterday.
Republicans are way ahead in the generic congressional poll.
50% of the public says they're gonna vote for Republicans in November, a seven-point lead over.
But but they could blow it with the mosque.
That's what no, no, I'm not not no.
I'm I'm making that up.
The partisan political operatives in the media say could blow it.
They could blow this if they overplay the mosque.
A former RNC chairman, I don't know who is warning Republicans not to overplay this.
Don't overplay the mosque.
Who's overplaying it?
This is just folks, this is this is delightful.
Let's in fact, let's investigate voters who want to vote for Republicans.
Have Pelosi get in on that now.
I mean, there's obviously something criminal about that.
So let's investigate people who plan on voting for Republicans.
Hi, folks, welcome.
Rush Limbaugh here.
Uh you probably know that.
Um telephone number 800-282-2882.
If you want to be on the program, email address L Rushbo at EIB net.com.
And here's the political mosque debate strains the Tea Party and the GOP.
Political, once again, running a fantasy as a news story.
Remember how they all were having a conniption having a cow out there when uh uh a candidate Obama endorsed actually won?
I said it was historic.
Never before had happened, and of course it put to rest all the notion that uh Democrats were dead.
Uh it it incumbents are not dead.
It really is a twilight zone.
The Tea Party's not even weighing in on the on the mosque.
The Tea Party's worrying about other things like jobs and the economy and Obama's single-handed destruction of it.
Imam Hussein Obama.
I want to be fair too.
He probably is the best anti-American president the country's ever have.
So I don't want to be uh misinterpreted here as just a a knee-jerk critic.
Ed Gillespie is the former RNC chairman saying that we should play down the mosque, don't overplay it here.
Um, Pelosi, I'm sure she agrees with Bloomberg that we can never question where the mosque building money is coming from.
Oh no, no, we're not supposed to investigate that.
Where's the money to build the mosque?
Come, no, no, no.
Not supposed to look into that.
We're not supposed to find out it might be from Sharia uh uh Muslims in Saudi Arabia.
No, we have to investigate the people who are opposing the mosque and funding it's it's right, it's a 68% of the country, 63, 68% oppose putting the mosque at ground zero.
Here is Pelosi.
This is uh what she sits on KCBS uh radio out in San Francisco after an event to transfer control of Treasure Island from the Navy to the city of San Francisco.
Have you you've been to San Francisco Snerdly, you know, Treasure Island?
They they're gonna build what they call an ectopia.
ECTOPIA.
You know what an ectopia is?
Well, it's it's an ecologically perfect utopia.
Ecologically perfect utopia.
So it's gonna have light rail and and who knows a lot of solar panels and uh windmills and stuff.
Whatever they think is cool.
So she uh she had this question.
Senator Reed came out against the mosque, breaking with the president.
Of course, Reed, Obama's excusing Reed for being uh intolerant.
Obama is excusing Reed's intolerance.
He understands that Reed has to be intolerant.
Just like Clinton told us that Robert Byrd had to join a Klan to get elected.
Uh Reed has to oppose the mosque in order to get elected.
And so in that case, intolerance is not just understood, it's encouraged.
So that was the question.
Here's Pelosi's answer.
There is no question that uh there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some, and I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded?
How is this being ginned up?
I join those who have called for looking into how the opposition to the mosque is being funded.
How is this being ginned up?
This is a woman that first called Tea Partyers Nazis, and now she wants to investigate the funding.
She doesn't care who's paying for the mosque.
She cares who's funding the opposition.
Uh, ladies and gentlemen, this is soft tyranny.
That there's we laugh at this, but this is tyranny.
And so many, too many people on our side want to play footsie with these people to get into the debating of the nuance of all of this.
But you and I, the people understand far better the danger we face, the danger posed by Obama and Pelosi, the Democrat Party, and the left.
We oppose the kind of society this is becoming.
This is a society that is being produced, shaped, and formed against the will of the American people.
The American people are way ahead of the ruling class of both parties in Washington.
This is not nuance.
This is not FTSE.
Pelosi is serious.
She does want to investigate whoever is funding.
By the way, I have opposed the mosque being built there, and nobody's paying me to do it.
I don't know that there is any organized funding.
Does everything have to result from funding?
Does Pelosi not understand that there are substantive ideas that are behind the opposition to the mosque being built at ground zero?
The speaker, no, I'm not the leader.
There's a story coming.
I'm not the leader.
They're looking for a villain.
They're looking for the apparently uh making me the villain hasn't worked.
They're looking for a new villain.
They're thinking of reviving Newt Gingrich's let Medicare wither away on the vine.
They're thinking of going back all the way to 1994.
I'm not kidding.
It's in the snack, it's all coming up here.
Let me tell you the speaker of the House should be forced out of office for what she said here.
And we got people playing footsee and say, well, we Republicans better not overstep.
The Republicans better not overstep.
The Speaker of the House has just suggested investigating American citizens who oppose a mosque going at ground zero.
63, 68% of the country, including most of the 9-11 families.
And that's who the Democrat Party sees as the problem here, and that's who they want to investigate.
Now we got people on our side.
Could really hurt us in November.
Who's saying this?
Democrat ruling class people and the media are saying it.
And uh, and typically people on our side and the ruling class in the belt way, oh yeah, yeah, they're right.
We we don't want to make them mad.
You know, the left.
You know, they like to talk about McCarthy.
They like to hold Joe McCarthy out as some kind of unbalanced commie hunter.
Look at Pelosi.
Look at her massive ego, her massive power grabbing, the way she runs the house, her statements about investigating those she disagrees with.
She is McCarthy, she is Watergate, and all the rest of it combined.
The only voices who will object to Pelosi are ours.
Conservative voices.
You're not going to find anybody in the Republican Party hierarchy upset with this.
No, that's just Pelosi being Pelosi, they'll say.
It's just usual inside the beltway stuff.
That's just Pelosi being Pelosi.
That's just Reed being Reed.
Oh, that's, you know, that's that's no big deal.
That's that's just the Democrats being who they are.
You let some Republican, say a Speaker of the House, start talking about investigating people who are funding certain leftist causes, and you see what happens.
This this is a tipping point.
Is Pelosi going to investigate Harry Reed?
Harry Reed's opposed to the mosque.
Now, granted, he's been um he's been given special dispensation on this, but is Pelosi going to investigate Reed?
And it looks like dissent isn't patriotic anymore, is it?
It looks like Hillary said that dissent and opposing the administration, that that that that was that was the new patriotism back during the first and second terms of George W. Bush.
But now, no, no, no, no.
Even Chris Christie's getting on this bandwagon.
Hey, we don't want to overplay our hand here.
You know, this could go a little bit wrong.
Uh, we're gonna be very, very, very, very uh careful.
Uh others are warning us not to shout about this.
Don't go out and say what you really want to say.
Be very, very, very people who tell me what to say and what not to say.
They have ever been, and they're not going to start being now.
Notice that the the Muslims' right to freedom of religion trumps our freedom of speech.
We're being told to shut up, because it might hurt Republicans in November.
We're being told a tiptoe.
Be very, very, very, very careful here.
Well, they can cower all they want in retirement.
I'm gonna continue to do and say what I think is right, because folks, there are millions of Democrats, and there are millions of independents and others who are on the correct side of this mosque business.
And buying into the Democrat template.
This is about politics and stuff, is dead wrong.
This is not politics.
As usual.
Brief time out, lots more straight ahead.
The EIB network on Wednesday, be right back after this.
Look, uh let's put some things in perspective here, shall we, ladies and gentlemen?
As always, it's left to us to do this.
For all their talk about outreach, it would seem that the ground zero mosque builders are not at all interested in hearing the views of others.
And the uh the Imam, Faisal Abdul Roth, doesn't Appear to be very interested in peace or healing or any so-called interfaith dialogue, which is the purpose he says of the mosque.
He seems to be only interested in provocative, insensitive, aggressive acts that will end up glorifying Muslim aggression at the expense of the 3,000 people who died on 9-11.
No, I'm snarling, I'm serious.
This guy, the Imam Faisal Abdul Roth, he won't condemn Hamas.
You think I'd get in trouble if I called this the Hamasque?
And not just a mosque.
Oh no, go limbo, really overstepping now.
Oh no, Limbaugh dooming our chances in November.
How can he do this?
By calling it the Hamasque.
But the Imam won't condemn Hamas.
He's chummy with terrorists, Governor Christie, and others say that we are painting peaceful Muslims with a broad brush of the terrorists.
I guess it's the opposite.
What we're doing here is painting terrorist Muslims with a broad brush of peaceful ones.
That's the objective here.
Well, they said the sturdy they say that we're painting terrorist Muslims with the broad brush of the peaceful ones.
And that's uh we should be very careful.
We shouldn't do that.
Uh, or that we're painting peaceful Muslims with a broad brush of terrorists.
Uh in other words, we we are saying that all of these people are terrorists, and and and we're not.
What this is going to end up doing is painting terrorist Muslims with a broad brush of peaceful ones.
And that's the objective.
That's that's I don't know why people don't see this.
The whole point here of building this mosque there is to paint terrorist Muslims a different color.
To take the terrorist out of terrorist Muslims.
And we're told not to overstep.
We're told to, you know, rein it in.
Don't, you know, don't go um, don't go crazy here.
We've got to be really, really, really careful.
If a bunch of Christians that backed the branch Davidians had wanted to build a church anywhere, would they be tripping all over themselves to wrap them in the peaceful legacy of Billy Graham and the Mother Teresa and the Martin Luther Kings and so forth?
No.
The loudest single voice against the mosque in New York is the Anti-Defamation League.
The ADL.
Does Pelosi, is Pelosi suggesting that we investigate the Jewish money behind the ADL?
She wants to investigate the funding of those who oppose the mosque.
The single loudest voice against it in New York is the ADL.
And they're not exactly a conservative group.
And does Pelosi think we need to investigate Abe Foxman?
And uh where he's getting his money.
All this talk of outreach, remember now, folks, the purpose here.
We're told outreach.
Um interfaith dialogue.
Who is it that's trying to shut people up?
Who is it doesn't want any interfaith dialogue?
No town halls on this.
Who's out there trying to impugn and intimidate the people who oppose this rather than have dialogue with them?
Mayor Bloomberg had no problem jumping to conclusions about the Times Square bomber.
Remember who he was?
He was just somebody probably ticked off at Obama's health care plan.
That was the knee-jerk reaction of the mayor of New York.
Yes, some ticked off reactionary, didn't like Obama.
Turns out Noah was a Muslim terrorist, inspired by other Muslim terrorists.
He said, if I had to guess 25 census would be exactly that.
Homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person, somebody with a political agenda doesn't like the health care bill or something, could be anything.
But it certainly could not be what it was.
And now mosque supporters are begging George W. Bush to come to Obama's rescue.
Time for W to weigh in, writes Maureen Dow to the New York Times.
She said that W understands that you can't have an effective war against a terrorists if it's a war on Islam.
And she finds it odd Obama seems less sure on the matter, wants Bush to get his bullhorn back out, and bail Obama out of this one.
I'm not making this up.
They gotta turn it up out yet.
Yep, both did lead a late great.
The Rush Limbaugh program, and dirty to know the secret is it's the Democrats who are panicked over this.
Last night on Hannity's television show, it was revealed that Rom Emanuel is calling Democrats all over the country begging them not to do a hairy read, begging them not to go public with opposition to Obama's disastrous statements Friday night about the mosque.
And so since it's the Democrats who are in got their feet in the fire, it's Democrats who are all ginned up about it.
It's Democrats who are panicked about this.
What they have to do is transfer that panic to us and make it look like we're the ones that are about to go over the cliff on this.
And the sad thing is that we've got people on our side of the aisle who fall for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Some meditated media comes out, Republicans gotta be very, very careful about this, and they start echoing it.
The Democrats have imploded.
Pelosi is so drunk on her own power, she doesn't realize what a suicide mission she's on for herself and her party to investigate the people who are funding opposition to the mosque.
Let's investigate people using their First Amendment free speech rights.
And they want to try to make you believe it's the Republicans who are in trouble over this.
Meanwhile, there's panic in the White House because Obama screwed up Friday night, said what he really thinks about this.
He's the one trying to walk back what he said.
Has to excuse Harry Reed's special dispensation.
It's okay for Harry Reed to be intolerant, because he's in an election.
He's gonna win.
So it's okay for Robert Byrd to join the Klan to become a recruiter, because he had to win an election.
He had to get elected in West Virginia.
And here is the politico.
Mosque debate strains Tea Party and GOP.
It is doing no such thing.
The mosque debate is tearing apart the Democrat Party.
We're not strained.
I'm not stressed.
The GOP, certain members of the GOP don't get it, as they always don't, and they're running around, okay.
You want us to act like we're uh in a panic.
Fine, we'll oblige you.
You want us to tell our side to be careful?
When the Democrats tell you you better not talk about it, what they're telling you is what they are afraid of.
They're scared to death.
They know that Obama has put them on the wrong side of this, and they know that Pelosi's put them on the wrong side of this.
So of course they want us to shut up.
Mosque debate strains Tea Party.
GOP, this is politico.
Kenneth Vogel.
Five pages when you print it out, and when you get to the fourth page, listen to this.
Yet in interviews, a number of leading activists told politico, there hasn't been much discussion on Tea Party listserves in conference calls about the mosque.
Well then, what are the other three pages about here?
And what's the headline about politico?
Mosque debate strains Tea Party.
Yet in interviews, a number of leading activists told politico there hasn't been much discussion on the Tea Party listservs or conference calls about the mosque.
Most said flatly that they don't consider the mosque a Tea Party issue.
Yet the political headlines mosque debate Strange Tea Party.
But the Tea Party says this is not an issue for us.
Several Tea Party people said they recognized the right of the mosque planners to build it, and they personally disagreed with New York City's decision to permit it.
And while activists often have political interests outside the Tea Party's core mission, there's a movement-wide understanding that if activists want to take on such issues, they should try not to drag the Tea Party brand into it, according to Andrew Ian Dodge, who serves as the main state coordinator for the influential Tea Party Patriots on Bellar Group.
In other words, we got it under control.
We're not panicked here.
We're not any strain.
We're focused here on constitutional government, limited government, and fixing the economy.
That's what we at the Tea Party care about.
We're not strained over the over the mosque business.
We don't we don't tell people what they should say, shouldn't say, but if it's not a Tea Party issue we prefer, I think we'd uh be polite way to put it, they don't do it under a Tea Party banner, so I don't think you're going to be seeing Tea Party rallies against the mosque.
Right.
They're focused on Obama destroying the economy at the Tea Party.
Like we are.
And yet, mosque debate strains Tea Party.
From the DC Examiner Byron York, mosque supporters beg George W. Bush to come to Obama's rescue.
I'm t they want to tell us we're the ones in the vice grips here.
We're the ones that are trapped.
We're the ones in trouble.
The Republican party's better be careful, and they're they hate Bush.
They despise George W. Bush.
If they get Bush to do this, it'd be like illegal immigration, create confusion about who stands for what and why.
This is false praise.
You got it from Maureen Dowd, time for W to weigh in, uh, Eugene Robinson Washington Post.
Um he held Ramadan Iftar dinners of the White House as part of a much broader effort to show our fight against the Al Qaeda murderers who attacked us on 9-11 is not a crusade against Islam.
Bush was absolutely right on this point.
It'd be helpful to hear his views.
So Maureen Dowd and Eugene Robinson, who have somebody needs a drug test Maureen Dowd.
I'm sure Robert Gibbs would like to drug test Maureen Dowd for crying out loud.
She wants to turn the clock back to the days when George Bush was president.
And now they're calling for daddy to come home and make it better.
Asking for the adult to come home and bail the man child out of his little conniption problem here.
The same Maureen Dowd who said last Sunday that MSNBC's trying to make its reputation by tearing down Obama.
Begging W to speak up.
And Peter Binart, former editor of the New Republic.
Words I never thought I'd write.
I pine for George W. Bush.
He wrote on the Daily Beast.
Whatever his flaws, the man respected religion, all religion.
Binart longs for the days when Bush used to say that the war on terror was a struggle on behalf of Muslims, decent folks who wanted nothing more than to live free like you and me.
So they're beg.
Uh that's not in dispute anyway.
They want to bring Bush back, bail out Obama, and yet we have to go slow.
We have to be very careful about what we say.
They want to get Bush to do this.
And then praise him for it.
To get Obama and the rest of the other fools on the Democrat Party off the hook.
These people never said a word when Bush was saying this stuff in office.
They just dumped all over him.
They said Bush was making Muslims hate us.
Gitmo going into Iraq, and now today.
Why, Bush was for religion for everybody.
Bush was mature.
These people spent four years telling the people of this country that the world hated America because of George W. Bush that Bush was out creating terrorists today.
They tell us, they ask Bush to come out and lend some substance to this.
They just have to smile.
So the people hate Bush.
They're not praising him in hopes it'll save their guy and their party from this matter, although they certainly want that.
The Democrats' party is everything.
But this, this is not about party, this is about substance, this is about belief systems, this is about respect and decency.
If Bush were to do this, he'd run into a buzzsaw from his own side.
And they don't they just praising for it and get Obama and the rest of the fools off the hook, and then after that happens, they'll go back to ripping Bush a new one.
Uh Bush doesn't need praise and redemption from the left.
I don't need praise and redemption from the left.
Those people are in no position to confer such things anyway.
These people, Pelosi, Reed, you name it.
I don't care who Obama, Robert Gibbs, all of them owe us an apology for who they are and what they are doing to this country every day.
They are the ones that need to be investigated.
And we need to shout that from the mountaintop.
Peter Meinhart actually wrote a book, The Good Fight, Why Liberals and Only Liberals Can Win the War on Terror.
And here's Peter Beinart today, asking for daddy for Bush to come home, for Bush to bring the megaphone, for Bush to bail Obama out, for Bush to join the mosque issue and say he has no problem with the mosque being built in ground zero.
Imagine that.
That's how low, that's how far gone they are.
That's they will always tell us.
They'll tell us who they're afraid of.
They will tell us what they've done wrong by transferring it to us, and you know it's bad when they are now begging George W. Bush to come out and join their side.
Why don't they ask Jimmy Carter?
Why don't they ask Bill Clinton?
I mean, why not go and ask a couple of ex-Democrat presidents?
Go ask Jimmy Carter.
Have Jimmy Carter come.
Why wouldn't Jimmy Carter supporting the mosque help Obama?
Why wouldn't Clinton coming out?
When by the way, where are the Clintons on this?
Where is Hillary on?
Have you noticed the Clintons haven't said a word?
You know why?
Because they're waiting to pick up the pieces.
They want to put that Churchill bust back in the Oval Office with Hillary sitting in there every day looking at it.
That's why they're not saying anything about it.
Isn't it strange that the Democrats are not asking Bill Clinton why the most revered president of the Democrat Party since FDR, the most revered Democrat president in the whole world.
They're not asking Clinton to come out and endorse the mosque at ground zero.
The Hamask at ground zero.
They want Bush to do it.
And they tell us that we better shut up, that we're in danger of ruining our electoral chances in November.
And as though they're really concerned about that, as the Democrats don't do want us to win in November, the Democrats do want us to take control of the House and the Senate.
They are so desirous of that, they're now advising us to go slow here so as not to screw that up.
And not to be redundant.
And we have fools on our side who are buying into it.
Offering just such advice.
But rest assured, my friends, none of them wasted their time calling me.
They knew calling me would be a waste of time.
I asked where Hillary is.
I don't know where she is, but I'll tell you what she's doing.
The State Department is funding.
The Ground Zero Mosque's Imam's tour of the Middle East.
Remember, the uh the regime has made the Imam, the Ground Zero Mosque an envoy, an emissary of the regimes to the Middle East, and Mrs. Clinton is paying for it.
He is funding his fundraising tour.
They say that he is an envoy representing the regime in the Middle East.
But what uh what Imam Faisal is doing is fundraising for his mosque.
You would think that Hillary would take an interest in Imam Faisal Abdul Roth activities about the mosque, as well as his past statements condemning the U.S. and praising Hamas, which is why I have referred periodically today to this as the Hamask.
And don't forget that Hamas has come out and endorsed Obama's statement on the Hamask at Ground Zero.
Now, do you remember when um word got out that I wanted to buy part of the St. Louis Rams?
The Wacko left, the Wacko Sports Writer left, the whole left went nuts.
They made up things I had never said.
They took other things I had said out of context.
They complained that I was a horrible racist, that I was insensitive toward black athletes, despite the fact I wanted to join an organization that makes them millionaires.
But the Imam from the Hamas gets a pass on his actual 9-11 comments that we, in effect, created bin Laden.
And I don't hear Al Sharpton with his bullhorn, and I don't hear the uh Reverend Dax.
And by the way, for you people, a friend of mine makes a brilliant observation.
You people in Nevada.
When Imam Obama grants Harry Reed special dispensation to be intolerant.
Well, I mean they say opposing the mosque is intolerant, and Dingy Harry has come out in opposition to Mosque, and Obama says that's okay, it's okay, because Dingy Harry has to get elected.
You people in Nevada.
The implication is very clear.
You are bigots.
You are bigots and you are racial zealots, and Harry Reed has to pander to your bigotry in order to get elected.
And they tell us to shut up.
They tell us that we are the ones close to talking ourselves over the cliff.
This is political genius.
Obama has just essentially said to the people of Nevada by granting Dingy Harry dispensation for his opposition to the mosque that you people in Nevada are bigots and racial bigots and and all that because you're going to vote for whoever is opposed to the mosque.
And it is political genius, is it not?
To position the incumbent Senate majority leader as having to pander to bigots in order to win.
Let's keep it sharper.
Last poll I saw Sharon Angle and Dingy Harry were tied at 47.
Let's see what happens now that the President of the United States has implied that Nevadans are racial bigots.
Oh, by the way, ailing 911 responders, this is the New York Daily News.
Ailing 9-11 responders slammed President Obama yesterday for sounding off of the Ground Zero Mosque while staying silent on a $7.2 billion health care bill for them.
They are sick.
Obama doesn't care.
Pelosi wants them investigated.
9-11 first responders oppose the mosque.
Pelosi wants to investigate those who oppose it for their funding.
And they're telling us that we better be careful what we say.
Rush Limbaugh, starting a million conversations today with the brilliance of this first hour.
By the way, Muslims are planning a celebration of 9-11.
