And we'll have the winner's name on Thursday.
We have 20 exciting wedding pictures, folks, uh posted at Facebook, which is one of the reasons that we opened and established the uh the Facebook page.
400, what is it?
409,000 is the last time I looked at it.
49,000.
And it's it'll it's not even a week, it'll be a week tomorrow.
Because this is Tuesday out there.
So anyway, thanks everybody.
The comments are just fabulous, too.
You can see, you can see who this audience is, the backbone of America, the heart of America, all this notion about this program in conservatives, racist sex is big.
We've all known that's a bunch of rut, but 410,000 now.
So only 90,000 more to get to a half million by tomorrow.
That's gonna that's a long shot because it's slowing down now, but um, the number of hits is over twelve million.
Some people just don't want to establish a Facebook account.
Uh I don't think you have to do that.
Well, you don't have to do that to see the wedding pictures.
I don't think you have to do that to sign up for the uh Rush in a hurry email blast at the end of the program every day.
That's cool.
It's a brief summary of the program with selected transcripts and uh web links to various audio sound bites in advance of the full website update, Rush Limbaugh.com at 6 o'clock every evening.
Last week, we told you that John Bolton, oh, I want to repeat this NEA number.
Because I had to run through that, the conclusion of the last hour, because we had a caller in the first hour.
So why why?
Why are we bailing out the Teamsters?
Why do they take some of their dues?
And instead of electing Democrats, bail out their pension funds that way.
And he's got a point.
Listen to this.
In 2009, the latest year for which we have data, and this is the U.S. Department of Labor, so this is the regime saying this.
The National Education Association, a teachers' union, raked in 355 million dollars in dues and agency fees, mostly from teachers around the country.
They had other sources of income as well, pushed the total take in 2009 to 377 million dollars.
Now stop and think of that.
377 million total, 355 million dollars from dues.
And we're bailing these people out.
We just had a 26 million dollar bill out for some of these teachers last week.
And they're collecting 355 million dollars a year.
And we're taking money from food stamps to do this, and they're taking that's just one union.
Now get this.
In 2009, which was not even an election year, the National Education Association Teachers Union Spent $50,408,000 on political activities.
$50 million in a non-election year.
The NEA spent less money on members' benefits than they did on politicking.
The amount of money they spent on member benefits was $49,600,000, $50,400,000 on politicking.
Out of total take of $350 or $377 million.
And we are bailing these people out.
And that's just one union.
If I'm crying out loud, folks, this is getting ridiculous.
At a $26 billion, did I say $26 million bail?
$26 billion bail.
That's even that's even more outrageous.
Bailing these people.
We already bailed them out the first time around.
What it was a $800 billion porculus mess for.
Now, what I was going to say, last week, John Bolton was on Fox.
And he said Israel only has a few days to take out Iran's nuclear reactor because once they start loading the fuel rods, that's it.
You can't bomb them because then you got nuclear fallout, radioactive fallout all over the place.
So Bolton, this in a Jerusalem pulse today.
John Bolton says that Israel now has only three days to strike the Iranian nuclear plant before the fuel rods are inserted because that means radioactive fallout.
This is what Israel did uh in in Iraq in 1981.
Bolton said he didn't see any signs that uh the Obama regime would make the decision to strike Iran's nuclear reactor, speaking in an interview with Israel Radio earlier today.
He claimed, Bolton did, that Israel only has three days to strike before Russia begins the fueling process for the reactor this Friday, after which any attack would cause radioactive fallout could reach as far as the waters of the Persian Gulf.
It was a week ago on the Fox Business Network that Bolton had said the deadline was eight days, but he revised it to three in the interview with the Israeli radio today, saying that Iran and Russia had announced they would begin fueling on Friday.
Now, Bolton said it's always been optimal that military forces used before the fuel rods are inserted.
That's what Israel did in 1991 in Iraq and wasn't that when they attacked the North Korean reactor built in Syria, which was recently in the past two or three years.
Yeah, the Syrian reactor was bombed in 2007, and you'll note nobody did anything about it.
Nobody lifted a finger.
All this huffing and puffing, Israel, you do that, we're gonna wipe you out.
Mahmoud Ahmedine is not you name it, all these people were gonna wipe you off the face of the map.
They take out a North Korean nuclear reactor being built in Syria, and nobody does anything about it.
No, it was a very clandestine operation, and after it happened, people still weren't quite sure what had happened.
But they put the pieces together and they found out that the Israelis did take out a North Korean nuclear reactor in production, being manufactured in Syria, and nobody did anything about it.
Well, everybody tries to shut down this kind of activity.
Oh, the reaction, why we can't allow that to happen, be horrible.
CNN and their polling unit, opinion research, 1,000 Americans.
More Americans have doubts about Obama's birth story than do support the mosque.
CNN poll.
I'm just reporting it, it's a CNN poll.
27% of Americans believe that Imam Obama was probably not born in the United States.
29% support building the Ground Zero Mosque.
And...
And Eric Erickson at Red State says, now look, if we're gonna call the 27% who believe that Obama was not born, if we're gonna call up a bunch of fringe kooks, then can't we also call the people who support building a mosque at ground zero a fringe group because the percentages are roughly the same, 27 versus 29%.
If you add to the 27% who think Obama was not born in the U.S., and a 29% who think he was born in the U.S., but aren't definitely sure.
And more Americans have doubts about Obama's birth story than support the mosque.
In CNN's own data.
We're just adding it up here, folks.
We're just taking the figures and adding up.
We're not endorsing anything.
We didn't take the poll.
We didn't ask a single question.
We're simply reporting what CNN found.
By the way, I must remind you that uh we, the U.S. approved Israel's raid on Syria.
That would have been the Bush administration.
That's highly unlikely to happen today.
I doubt that this regime would approve uh an Israeli raid into uh what uh Iran somewhere.
So as Mr. Ericsson at Red State points out, there's a a problem here for Democrats, and it's why Obama has locked in a Democrat disaster come November.
In essence, the Democrats have lost the ability to connect with normal people at a moral level.
The fringe.
The fringe is who is supports Democrats, and it's a it's a uh sizable number.
70% of independents.
They're all worried about the independence out there and whether or not I'm driving them away.
Hi, L. Rushbow, the titular head of the Republican Party, driving independence away.
70% of independents oppose the mosque.
Democrats are screaming at the top of their lungs that we should all be talking about the economy because they know they're going to get crushed on the mosque issue with independence.
Now think about that.
The Democrats would rather get beaten up over the economy than over the mosque issue.
They would rather have that be the topic than the mosque issue.
You stew over that.
Well, we take a brief time.
I'll be right back and continue.
You know what?
The liberals are undoubtedly in panic.
I mean, if 70% of independents oppose a mosque, then it would appear that I, L. Rushball, am the titular leader of independence, too.
Not just the titular leader of the Republican Party.
Can you imagine the panic if that ever took hold?
That I am the leader of the independents.
And the independents.
The independents are taking their marching orders from the EIB network.
We got to work to solidify that.
Meanwhile, Buffalo, New York, this is Ann.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
Hey, it's so great to talk to you.
I wanted to tell you that being a resident of New New York State, um, I'm not surprised at all by what the uh Pomeray wants to do for the teeth for the Teamsters uh retirement.
Right.
In New York State, we income taxpayers have been bailing out the teachers' retirement fund for years.
I cringe every time I see the stock market go down, not only because our portfolio is taking a hit, but because I know my taxes are going up some more to reimburse the teachers.
Now, isn't that interesting?
Isn't that something?
Isn't that interesting?
I did not know that.
I should have known that because I used to pay New York.
Well, you still I still do pay New York City taxes.
I still pay state taxes.
But not for long because I'm closing on the deal on Thursday.
That's right, closing on the New York condo on Thursday.
Absolutely right.
Oh my gosh.
So God bless you, Russia.
Now Stirley thinks I'm just done.
With a head on your back, I should say.
Well, you know, it's interesting you talk about this because the bailing out in the stock market.
I don't know why the first thought I had was you mean to tell me that the teachers' pension fund is in the stock market, and uh I know the California PRS and stirrers funds a stock market.
But we can't put Social Security in the stock market.
We can't put so but every union pension fund is invested in the stock market.
And when they take a hit, the taxpayers pay.
Damn right.
Damn right.
In unions we trust.
Well, you can say that.
That's I'm being facetious.
I'm glad you called out there, Ann.
This is John, Cincinnati.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
Uh mega Queen City dudos to you.
Thank you, sir.
And um, I've been a listener for many, many years.
I'm only twenty-eight, though, but I've been listening for a long time.
And my question has to do with the uh mosque that is being talked about at ground zero.
Yes.
Um when I first heard about it, which was maybe a month or two ago, I heard about it on the Glenn Beck Show, and my first reaction was outrage.
It was, you know, how can they do this?
You know, don't they realize what they're saying?
That kind of a reaction.
And then I realized that that was an emotional reaction.
And I think that you know most of the conservative reaction to it is an emotional one.
So my question for you is what or what legal basis would we have to say no you can't build that there?
There isn't a legal basis.
The only legal basis is local, and that would be if the Landmarks Preservation Board decided, no, if this is a landmark building, you can't build it, but they have said, no, it's not landmarked.
It's the only thing down there that isn't landmarked.
And then it would be local zoning laws, which have been waived, so there is no legal reason not to build it.
So do you do you necessarily oppose it or are you just commenting on Obama's reaction to it?
Uh what?
Totally oppose it.
I don't care.
I'm not you think I do what I do because of what Obama does?
It just happens to be working out that I disagree with everything you're saying.
Uh personally oppose the I mean, I oppose it too, uh, on an emotional basis, but um, you know, logically I I can't oppose it.
Uh, I would say if you're not a good idea.
Of course we can oppose it on logical grounds.
What do you mean we can't oppose it on logical grounds?
This is I guess if if uh you know, me as being a Christian, if a Christian church were being built there, uh, would not oppose that.
Uh wait a second.
Wait a second.
Were you listening to the program yesterday?
Unfortunately, I was not.
That's too bad.
When's the last time you did listen to the program?
No, I listen to almost every lunch break.
I'm definitely uh follower of you and just so happens you say very important.
Excuse me.
Uh it just so happens there was a Greek Orthodox church right across the street from ground zero.
They have been refused permission to rebuild.
On what grounds?
No grounds.
They're just not being allowed to rebuild it.
They were they they they're not gonna allow something that looks like a church to be built.
If they want to build something that looks like a warehouse a couple of three blocks away, they'll let them do that, but they will not let them rebuild a church where it was, right across the street.
Well, then I guess they should follow that same uh thinking for the uh mosque.
No, they've been they've they've been trying for two years and they finally just throwing up their hands.
Oh, okay.
Because the mosque, you know, you're talking about emotion of this mosque is entirely political.
Have you ever stopped to wonder why it is that every leftist, every socialist, every person in this country who has a problem with this country is for that mosque being built.
Have you ever asked yourself why it is they are so hell bent on the mosque being built?
You think it's well, you should be you think that they're really concerned about religious liberty and property rights.
When's the last time you ever heard a liberal talk about property rights?
In the sense that anybody has any.
Let me tell you something.
This is pure politics.
The people that want that mosque built want to stuff it down the throats of Americans.
The people that want the mosque built at ground center want to say pfft to Americans.
That's all it is.
And I'm talking about the Americans who support it.
I'm not even talking about the Muslims and the Islamists.
Because I'll bet you that a lot of Muslims don't want it there because they know the problems it's gonna cause them.
Another caller silenced into absolute incapability because of the piercing logic and reasoning of the host.
Who's next?
Mary Ann Wilkesbury, Pennsylvania.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hi.
Thank you, Russ.
And it's such a pleasure to speak with you.
I respect you so much, and I thank you for the job that you do.
Thank you very much.
Uh, yesterday I believe it was a gentleman that called and said that this is an opportunity for America to show our tolerance and right.
Now, when does America ever get the chance to say no to anything?
When do we, since we are a Christian nation, we were founded on values.
But You know, but that's even accepting the premise.
When where w when did it when did it get started?
We have to demonstrate our goodness.
Exactly.
I mean, who who the hell said that we dropped our goodness?
Exactly.
The American left says we've dropped our the American left says we're no longer good.
Who are they?
Exactly.
Who are we to have to prove ourselves?
We're the beacon of freedom, hope, and liberty in the world.
We liberate people.
We bail people out financially.
Where is it written that all of a sudden we're the ones have to prove to everybody who we are?
Absolutely.
And I have to say, because of this, if they build that mosque at that site, I will not attend any Broadway shows.
I will not go to a ball game.
I will not go to New York City.
I can't.
And that's the only way I can show support for all the brave men and women who defend our country and all of those families that have lost loved ones there.
It's an insult, and that's the only way that it can be looked at.
And as you said, it is intentional.
And I don't know when this country is going to wake up to that fact.
They have.
How do they keep getting away with it then?
Well, they haven't gotten away with it yet.
Well, I'm praying that they don't.
I will not go to New York City.
I I just I would hope people.
Well, let's see.
Where are you?
You're in Wilkesbury?
Yes, sir.
Well, uh, the governor probably didn't want you there anyway.
Yeah, probably, but I I can only say I don't know what else I can do to show that I just do not support it in any way, shape, or form, and I'm appalled that they would even even think of doing this.
Thanks for the call, Mary Ann.
L Rush Mode brief time out.
Back with more right after this.
Church destroyed it, ground zeros, still at square one.
This is the Greek Orthodox Church.
Saint Nicholas is its name.
Loses deal for new property.
This is the same Mayor Bloomberg and the same port authority who says we have to go out of our way to prove that we are tolerant.
Why are we not tolerant of the Greek Orthodox bunch that want to rebuild their church there?
Why is not Mayor Bloomberg told the Port Authority to be tolerant?
They made a deal with these people for land to rebuild a church.
It's been rescinded only because they want to rebuild a church.
And not something that looks like a warehouse.
Let's go to the audio sound bites.
We have a few here.
Um this is about the um the uh this is the mosque.
There is a recurring theme popping up in the state control media about the mosque.
And that is it's just it's a distraction.
The mosque is just a distraction.
The Republicans are using it as a distraction.
Oh no.
Maybe so, because we've now figured out the Democrats would rather talk about how they've destroyed the economy.
They would rather talk about Obama's support for the mosque.
This is uh on Morning Joe today on Mess NBC.
Mika Bzinski was talking to the former White House communications director, Anita Dunn.
Now, if you forgot, Anita Dunn went to the National Cathedral and said she really admired Mao.
Because Mao knew how to get what he wanted.
Mao Tseitung knew how to get things done.
She's no longer at the White House.
But her husband Bob Bauer is.
Mika Bzazinski asked her this question.
A mosque comments that the president made obviously couldn't really avoid them at the event he was at.
Yes, he could have.
He'd have to sing about it, Mika.
In fact, many of the attendees at the uh at the uh IFTAR dinner were a little shocked that he brought it up.
They weren't demanding he say anything about it, at any rate.
Yet they knew they must have known there was going to be this reaction, even opportunism on the part of some on the extreme right.
Yeah.
70% of the American people opportunistic extreme right wingers.
And here's what the former White House communications director said.
When you have these arguments being whipped up by people who seek to divide in this country, that a president has to step forward and call on the country to repudiate the intolerance that frankly is fueling this fight right now.
The race to the bottom in the Republican Party this year, you know, whether it is around the revisiting the Fourteenth Amendment, whether it's around the immigration, or whether it is around this now, the race to the bottom means, you know, 2012 could be, you know, uh could be very, very depressing to watch.
It's almost like the party decided to update itself as the know nothing version 2.0's.
Uh 2012 could be depressing to watch.
Uh 2012, isn't that that's the year Obama runs for re-election, right?
Because this is 2010 and there are elections this year.
Now, this is a former White House communications director.
Of course, you 70%, you are intolerant.
The people who blew up the World Trade Center are not intolerant.
We have to learn how to relate and understand them.
Ms. Dunn, I have to tell you the most intolerant, demagogic, divisive president we've ever had, is Barack Obama.
Barack Hoover Obama.
If there's anybody dividing this country, it's Barack Hoover Obama.
I mean, for crying out loud, 70% of the independents, that's most of them voted for Obama have now fled and are now being led by me.
Who would have thought?
It's a Democrat Party that's the party of intolerance.
It's the president who's intolerant and divisive.
So Mark Halpern, a guest panelist said to Ms. Dunn isn't the fundamental problem right now.
The president is refusing to take a position.
as Senator Reid has?
Where does the president stand on what Americans really care about?
We're all for freedom of expression.
We're all for freedom of speech.
But where does the president stand on what he thinks ought to happen with this mosque?
There's a broader issue here, which is about religious intolerance.
And when you have a political party going down the road of religious intolerance, which is what is happening right now, I think the Republican Party, as solidifying its reputation for intolerance in this year for almost any kind of difference in American society, is going down a very dangerous long-term road.
And they might see some short-term things, although I think the American people are better than that.
Wait a minute.
Who's divisive here and who's intolerant?
Where's Obama's tolerance?
Where is your tolerance, Ms. Dunn?
Where is the media's tolerance for the vast majority of the people who live in this country?
The vast majority of the people in this country are against that mosque being built there.
They're not saying they're against mosques.
They're not saying they're against mosques.
They're just against it being built there.
There's all kinds of space.
There are over a hundred mosques throughout New York City.
Muslims don't even live in that part of town.
It's a commercially zoned district.
The intolerance here is being exhibited by the regime on virtually every issue, governing against the will of the American people.
That to me is intolerant.
In a representative republic, Ms. Dunn.
Pat Buchanan, also on the panel said, what about tolerance for the views of thousands of families of those who died on 9-11?
The hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who are saying, please, you got a right to move the mosque there, but don't do it.
It doesn't belong there.
What about tolerance for the vast majority of Americans and their opinions?
It's two blocks from the site.
It's it's a site that, you know, it's it's a center that is supposed to be about promoting inner faith and and really reaching out, which is in many ways what I think, you know, President Bush back in those horrible days of 2001, really tried to promote, and I think that, you know, how many blocks is okay?
Is nine blocks okay?
Is ten?
I mean, I don't know where you go with this.
And Anita, they have like other things there that are a lot of people have issues with, like peep shows.
There are, in fact, peep shows there.
There are, which makes you wonder why about Muslims that want to be there.
Greg Guttfell wants to open a gay bar right next door.
Now, you what do you think the odds of that happening are?
If this mosque goes up.
Anyway, that's just a sample.
I mean, they're running for the hills.
They're in panic, and they're doing what they always do.
When they're on the losing end of something, it's us.
It is us, we who are intolerant.
Bigoted racist, homophobia.
In fact, that's the one thing they haven't said yet, which leads me to believe they haven't pulled Obama's teleprompter out.
Normally, on something like this, they would call us racist.
They haven't called us racist yet.
That's probably the next shoe to um to drop.
My friends, I know that many intelligent students listen to this program, as do their equally intelligent parents.
Now, as you know, I am the dean of the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, an educational institution that goes on in perpetuity.
There's nobody ever graduates from it.
Let me give you some back to school advice.
Make sure you have carbonite online backup.
Very simple.
Computer crashes always happen.
They always happen at the worst time.
The night before a test, you're in the middle of writing your term paper, your thesis or whatever, bam, there goes the hard drive.
And if you're not backed up, you're lost.
You got nowhere to go.
And your computer crash is going to happen.
It happens to everybody.
Dorm rooms get broken into, stuff gets stolen.
People spill adult beverages during toga parties.
Right onto your computer hard drive.
It can happen to you.
So get carbonite online backup today, automatically backs up your PC or Mac to a safe off-site location whenever you're connected to the internet.
Happens in the background, you'll never see it happen.
But boy will you be glad when your computer goes kaput and you need to get your data back.
And now you can even access your backed up files from any computer or on your iPhone or BlackBerry with a free app from Carbonite.
Carbonite is $55 a year, 15 cents a day.
And you get a genuine 15-day free trial at Carbonite.com if you use my name, the offer code Rush.
And then two free months if you decide to buy.
So it's not going to be 55 bucks the first year.
Carbonite.
I can tell I've got testimonial letters here from people.
You'd be amazed at how often this happens to people, particularly if they use windows.
Carbonite.
Back it up, get it back, and don't forget offer code rush.
Okay, now let me see if I understand this right.
We have to get out of Iraq to show our sensitivity and to stop creating more terrorists.
We have to close Guantanamo Bay out of sensitivity to terrorists and terrorist nations around the world.
But we can't build a victory monument.
Wait, wait, wait, we we can't say no to building a victory monument of ground zero, which is what this mosque is.
They want to build a victory monument.
And we can't say no to that because somehow we've got to preserve our values.
This our values rationale.
I heard that all during the Iraq War.
We gotta get out of there.
We gotta close gitmo.
We gotta stop torture.
We gotta get back and show the world real American values.
I'm sorry.
Values as defined by the Democrat Party and the American Left are not American values, and get get caught up in this argument.
The real question here.
And once again, this is this is about not accepting their premise.
The real question is why do people who don't like this country want that mosque there?
What is so important about having it there?
To them.
They're the ones who need to be asked the question.
Not us.
The pure logic and not having that mosque two blocks away from ground zero, and that mosque location, by the way, is ground zero, is a no-brainer.
It's a victory monument.
No Muslims live down there.
There's not a shortage of mosques in New York City.
It's not as though they have no place to go to worship.
The real question is why the people on the American left want it there.
Why are the people on the American left so hell bent on once again doing something to poke their thumb in the eye of the country?
That's the real question.
They're the ones who ought to be made and when they come and tell us religious free don't tell me about religious freedom.
Check and see what happens to a pro-life group protesting an abortion clinic If you want to talk about religious freedom.
And don't tell me about property rights.
Because they couldn't care less about property rights.
A kangaroo rat has more right to property than somebody who owns it in Bakersfield, California.
So when I hear the left talking about religious tolerance, who is it who is it that hates the Christian right?
Who is it that despises, makes fun of, impugns the Christian right?
Who is it's out there making fun of Christianity and Catholics all over the place?
Who is it?
The American left.
You mean to tell me they have religious tolerance?
They don't have any tolerance for what they don't agree with.
Who are the architects of political correctness, which is nothing more than speech censorship?
And property rights don't make me laugh.
Property rights, these are the people that supported the Supreme Court decision to take away a person's home at in the Kilo case in Connecticut to give it to some developers?
Property rights?
You really we're supposed to sit here and believe the Democrat Party, the American left, all of a sudden, believe in religious tolerance and freedom?
Ever try to build an activity scene?
Somewhere in your town, guess who comes out and tells you you can't?
You want to tell a prayer?
You want to give a prayer at high school graduation?
Guess who's going to pop up and say you can't?
They're all leftists.
They're all Democrats.
And these people want to tell us about religious tolerance?
They want to lecture us about it.
These are the people that have a respect for property rights.
I mean, I this is just too much to believe.
The real question is, why do they want it there?
Why are they so insistent that it be there?
For what purpose?
Why will a mosque being built on ground zero make them happy?
How many of them are Muslims?
And don't tell me preserving American values.
These are the people that are trying to destroy American values.
Time honored and tested traditions, institutions that have defined this country for ages.
They're the ones trying to tear it down.
This way, all of this I laugh at.
Every avenue they are seeking to explain, they're not even on that avenue.
Religious freedom and tolerance?
Property rights?
American values.
They don't like the Constitution for crying out loud because it doesn't empower the state with enough control over the American people.
There was a cross out in the Mojave Desert.
The left went so far as to steal it.
It was a monument to soldiers that fought in World War I. We can't have a cross in the Mojave Desert.
You can't have that.
Somehow, all that religious tolerance gets transferred to ground zero.
Philip and Tyler, Texas, you're next in the Rush Lindbaugh program.
Hello, sir.
I'm honored to speak with you, sir.
Thank you very much.
I uh was listening to your uh your uh bring us the news of the Teamsters needing a bailout from the government, and I'm wondering, and I haven't read the details of the legislation, but oftentimes those pension benefit guarantee bailouts are not at a hundred percent.
So for your hard work as a rank and file member, you've given your dues, you've given your pension to the union to have it invested and be there for your retirement, and the pen the union has lost it, and they they got you a bailout on the backs of the taxpayers if the country can't afford, and by the way, it's what 50 cents on the dollar?
I'm not sure how the legislation's gonna read, so it's a kind of final slap in the face to the uh rank and file there.
Uh I'm not sure I get your point.
Well, that they uh they got you a bailout.
Not wait a minute.
Who who?
The the Teamsters, the legislation that is uh being proposed to bail out their pension fund.
It's not often that a pension benefit guarantee uh is at a hundred percent of your the value of your fund or the value of your pension, you're gonna take some sort of a loss on that.
Oh no, not this time.
Oh, is this a hundred percent guarantee this time?
Well, I'm not I'm not uh uh uh I'll have to read it, but I would um the the law as it currently stands, there is a the federal government has a pension takeover bunch, and they do not fully fund pensions that are that are belly up.
The purpose of this legislation, uh let me read it again, but I'm I'm sure I'm sure uh that it's significant.
It's more than what the current law allows for.
That's why they're trying to amend it.
I see.
And but this is specifically aimed at the Teamsters.
This is this legislation is aimed at one union whose pension and health care plans are put insolvent and bankrupt.
Which is just the beginning.
If this happens.
And it it's Bob Casey and uh forget who else.
Uh yeah, Earl Pomeroy, South Dakota.
Be right back.
Don't go away.
1999.
National Parks employee Frank Bono, represented by the ACLU, filed a complaint saying the cross in the Mojave Desert was unconstitutional because it represented just one faith, Christianity.
A judge ordered that it be covered with a wooden box until the matter was resolved.
Uh Religious tolerance, right, from the uh American left.
