Time Text
I wish I could gip it, but I'm not gonna jip it because I'm just not gonna dip it.
Maybe we should jip a little bit just to give you a stuff.
Charlie Wrangle is on the floor of the House giving the most hilarious example of double speak I have ever heard in my life.
For example, he said, I couldn't find one lawyer.
I couldn't find one friend who told me that I should take the floor today and explain myself here.
I wonder why that is.
I wonder why not one lawyer and not one friend would tell me to take the floor.
And just before the program's hours started here, they had to interrupt some woman's running the house today, had the gavel bang down and said, uh uh order, order please, members will take their conversations outside the uh the house uh floor.
So nobody's even listening to him.
They're in there having their own conversations, and Wrangell, this is um this is uh the the funniest I'd ever did it in my life.
All I've ever done is public service.
That's it.
The prosecutor was in the army 40 years here.
That's all I've ever done.
That's all I know.
40 years, four apartments, no taxes on rental property, and how do you make how do you own rental property in the Dominican Republic on what he's made as a legislator?
The salary, I mean it's it's sizable, it's more than what most Americans make, but it's not the kind of thing you can have a rental property, own rental property in the Dominican anyway.
Greetings.
Welcome back, Rush Limbaugh.
You want to hear a little bit of it?
Okay, here let's microphones are there.
It's a house floor, Charlie Wrangle.
Uh I am not going away.
I'm not going anywhere.
Here's what he's my lawyers don't offend them.
My friends say, don't go to the floor.
And I say, what are you gonna do me?
Yeah.
Suppose I do get emotional.
Suppose I do think of my life, the beginning and the end.
Are you gonna expel me from this party?
Are you gonna say that while there's no evidence that I took a nickel, asked for a nickel, that there's no sworn testimony, no conflict.
What do you mean I have to leave here?
What do you mean I love you, Democrats that figure it'd be easy for you?
I'm the guy that was raising money in Republican district should get you here.
But that doesn't mean that I criticize you for saying, hey, that's great then, but I'm running for re-election now.
I mean, do what you have to do.
And Republicans, hey, you don't have much to run on, but you know, but what the hell?
If Wrangle is an embarrassment based on newspaper articles, I can see why you would do it, but think, think.
Isn't this historically the first time that it appears as though partisanship is the ethics committee?
Isn't historically the first time that the recommendations of the subcommittee of investigation is turned down?
Right.
And dumb.
Okay, you get you get the flavor uh of this.
Uh Wrangle again saying that he didn't have one lawyer, not one friend told him to take it a floor to don't want to offend the committee.
Don't want to offend the ethics committee.
He makes 174 grand a year.
And he says he didn't notice.
Everybody does it.
All right, maybe I was guilty of insensitivity.
I thought, I thought that I was being treated the same.
Nobody ever told me that I was being treated differently.
So wait, so you didn't notice that an extra $800,000 that you didn't earn it somehow's in your bank account.
You just didn't, and that's nobody's treated any differently than you are.
So it's a double speak uh uh May I come and raise money for you to run against the Republicans.
Yes, the Republicans, they know I was raising money for you.
Oh, he's dumping on them now.
Uh he's chairman of House Ways and Means Committee oversees the IRS and all of our tax laws, and he wouldn't think he had a report $800,000 in extra income.
There you have it, Charlie Wrangle, and nobody knows why he took it a floor today, other than he's trying to uh defend himself.
He's complaining earlier that, well, the way they're talking now, the hearing won't even happen until after my primary.
Yeah.
After 40 years here, I'm being primaried.
And then if I win the primary, they're having the ethics hearing right before the general.
How does that happen?
Ask Obama, Charlie, because Obama is out there throwing you overboard and under the bus at the same time.
Obama said, it's time to retire with dignity.
Time to uh get out of there with uh with uh with dignity.
Back to the audio soundbox about how I, ladies and gentlemen, I have ginned up the uh Muchell Obama vacation story last night on MSNBC.
Somebody from the Center for American Progress, Matt Iglesias, was asked the following question Is it too defensive to say taking a trip at a time of economic unhappiness was tone-diff and that the White House should have thought of the optics first?
You always have to think of optics.
Uh, at the same time, you know, people do need a vacation.
It's hard to know where it is you could have gone that you'd be immune to criticism.
You remember Bill Clinton always took criticism from the right for his sort of random vacations.
Some of these people, Rush Limbaugh is very good at ginning up sort of phony controversy.
There you have it.
So I, ladies and gentlemen, your host responsible for the phony controversy worldwide.
I'll tell you who ginned this up, it was the UK press.
It was the UK media that had all the pictures, the 10-page stories of all of the luxury, the hypocrisy, the expense.
It was the UK media.
Clinton's vacations, Clinton polled his vacations.
What to wear, where to go, took a lot of them.
Who to grab on vacation, they polled that too.
But you know, folks, when Bush, again to remind you, when Bush went on vacation, he went home.
He went to his little shack in Crawford and chopped wood.
He even made world leaders come down there.
Vladimir Putin went down there.
The King of Saudi Arabia went down there for barbecues.
His vacation was to his home, and they were ridiculing Bush constantly.
And this Iglesius idiot.
Well, you know, people do need a vacation.
Need a vacation.
Here's Axelrod.
Last night on the Situation Room, Wol Blitzer, said uh was the criticism of her vacation in Spain with her daughter fair.
She wanted to take her daughter on a trip.
They went with some friends uh of the family to celebrate another little girl's birthday.
There aren't all that many places to go where you get privacy.
Wherever you go, security is gonna come.
Not because she asked for it, but because that is the nature of her position in life.
She's a very good mom.
She's very committed, and she uh wanted to do something with her daughter.
Well, yeah, that was the original story.
The original story was that a daughter wanted a trip to Spain.
Oh, yeah, okay.
Uh how many of you, your daughter comes to you at age twelve.
Mommy, mommy, I want to go to Spain.
Fine.
Great.
We're gonna call 39 or 40 friends, and we'll get 60 rooms over there in the hotel, and we'll fly over to Boeing 757.
Whatever you want, Sasha.
You want to go to Spain, but then all of a sudden, we get the story that it was uh Michelle's gynecologist's father, the gynecologist is a woman her father died.
She's depressed and wanted to spend time with uh with Michelle.
So they can't get their story straight.
They know the optics don't look good.
What they're essentially saying here is that my verbal optics uh are better than even the pictures that we've all seen over there.
And that's what's sticking in their crawls what's sticking in the reason why I'm to blend the pictures are one thing.
The UK did the pictures, UK Media did the pictures.
See Michelle on the Bell on the beach, the pine trees, the palm trees.
We see Michelle De Bell touring, we see Michelle my Bell and the kid uh with the King and Queen of Spain.
We see all of this.
Star-studded Hollywood fundraiser on Saturday night at the hotel.
We see all those pictures, but that doesn't bother them.
What bothers them is me.
I gin it up, so it's my optics they're worried about.
The optics that I create that they are concerned about.
Uh here's Tim Kane, the uh Democrat uh National Committee Chairman, he was on the Today Show yesterday, Matt Wower.
If you had a do over here and you could have planned the First Lady's vacation with Sasha, would you have planned the trip that we've seen her take, given the current economic conditions, or do you think that was much ado about nothing?
It's wrong to talk about the First Lady's family vacation as a politician.
She's a mom.
This was an opportunity for Michelle to join friends and friends' daughters with a vacation with her kids and and give them some exposure to a part of the world that they hadn't been before.
And I don't think you talk about that uh uh give it political analysis.
I'm glad that uh both the president and first lady are so focused on being good parents.
All right.
Fine, fine, Andy.
The Democrats will cover their bases any way they can.
What I really want to know is, you're the president of the United States, and it's your birthday.
And on your birthday, your wife, your daughter, and 40 friends hop a Boeing 757 to Spain for five days, while you stay in Chicago, and go to a barbecue with Oprah Winfrey and Gail King and shoot hoops with some basketball players.
Does anybody have any questions about those optics?
Back after this.
Jennifer Granholm, governor of Michigan, has said, I am un-American because of my comments about the Chevrolet Volt.
The uh audio soundlights coming up.
First, I have to issue a correction.
Uh Wrangle, it was not $800,000 he didn't recognize.
I've confused a couple things.
It was $80,000 in uh in back taxes from his rental property.
Uh he failed to report personal assets totaling as much as $780,000 in financial disclosure reports.
But the the 80, the $800 grand is $80.
I just confused the two.
$180,000, I round it up to uh $800,000.
Uh meanwhile, uh the bottom line here is that he says, I'm not going away.
I'm gonna defend myself.
I love the Congress, and I love my country.
And I want one last chance to dip my hand in the cookie jaw before they kick me out of here.
Which is the bottom line.
Koki Roberts, good morning, America, yesterday, co-host George Stephanopoulos asked her.
White House hopes this Michelle, my Bell Obama vacation thing gonna blow over, but they probably could have uh seen the criticism coming.
What real difference does it make?
The fact is Spain could use some help too, and we need Spain to be stronger economically than it is in the Eurozone.
I mean, you can make this case if you really need to.
Whatever the first lady does is not gonna make any difference one way or the other.
And you know, she did go with her child.
It was not like a a Jackie O trip, you know, where she was sort of whiling away her time on a yacht.
Uh, what's the difference?
What is the difference?
But here so now the take from Koki Roberts is that Michelle Obama was stimulating the Spanish economy.
Well, Iran needs some help.
Well, the Obama's next vacation there, and I'll tell you who really needs some help.
I mean, they're almost close to cannibalism in North Korea.
Will Michelle my Bell Obama take a vacation in North Korea to help them out?
Here's Jennifer Granholm.
Uh, and her comments.
Last Thursday in Washington at the Center for American Progress, an unidentified blogger said, You've had the disaster in the Gulf, you had an oil spill in your own state.
You guys are doing a lot in making these investments in batteries into new cars.
The batteries, by the way, are being made in Korea.
And here you have people like Rush Limbaugh come out and say that the Volt is an overpriced lemon, which I did not say.
I did not call it a lemon.
What do you say to your critics?
It's unAmerican.
I can't believe this.
Somebody would say this about this American product, and he hasn't even driven it.
He hasn't sat in it.
He, you know, why wouldn't you be supportive of American manufacturers building American vehicles with American workers who now have jobs as a result of this?
Why wouldn't you be supportive of that?
It is mind-blowing to me.
And of course, the public is getting paid back, you know, the GM is paid back the loan.
The bottom line is this is a good news story, and somebody who would twist it to be something negative.
I, you know, obviously has another agenda, which we all know he does.
We all know he does.
I wonder who sold more General Motors products?
Me?
Or Jennifer Granholm?
Or Muchell Obama.
I would venture to say I probably have.
I wonder how much who owns more General Motors vehicles?
Me, Muchell Obama, or Jennifer Granholm.
The governor of Michigan.
I never called the thing a lemon.
I called it something the American people by definition don't want.
It's being subsidized.
The iPhone is a game changer.
And it doesn't take a subsidy.
Nobody had to be paid to go buy the thing.
People are being paid to go buy a vault.
If they do, I mean, even General Motors, what they're going to make a thousand of them off the run, or uh ten thousand the first run.
Who has sold more iPhones in America?
Rush Limbaugh, Jennifer Granholm, or Muchell Obama.
Who has done more to stimulate the American economy?
Rush Limbaugh or Muchell Obama?
Or Jennifer Granholm.
I mean, they lose.
No matter what the comparison.
Let's go.
So the phones time we start there.
Merritt Field in Florida, or Herbert Field, Florida.
This is uh Bill.
Great to have you on the program, sir.
Hello.
Hey, Rush, thank you.
Uh mega combat shadow diddles from Herbert Field.
How are you doing?
Good.
Very good.
Hey, Rush, uh, I agree with you on most things, but the uh two issues that really aggravated me, especially this weekend after watching Beck on Sostel Business was this idea that uh federal employees uh don't produce anything.
Now, I hope I'm not taking out a context on that, but it's the the two things that set me off was the not producing.
And when you say that, you you create the image of someone who's uh overpaid, underworked, sitting around smoking cigarettes, not doing anything.
Uh you know, what exactly do you mean by federal workers don't produce anything?
What I mean is the gross domestic product of the country.
You have to calculate government's part of it, and the larger the share of it, the worse it is.
And the can you name me a product?
Can you name me a service?
Can you name me the innovation?
Can you name for me any invention?
Can you name for me any thing tangible that you like, that you own, that you want to buy, that the United States government has invented, manufactured, and sold.
Okay, if you're uh from the military, well, my first thing that pops in mind is all the developments at NASA, but a lot of those are things we we see later on.
Uh, we exempt from my from my perspective, from my perspective, it's uh unfortunately I'm in the military.
Weapons development, we got a lot of really smart people developing a lot of stuff and they're working a lot of hours to do it.
And from my perspective, as an air crew member, the plane I flew out of the.
No, no, no.
No, no, no.
The U.S. military doesn't do the delete squad but pay for it.
Private sector companies make the bombs, make the ammunition, and they design them.
And then they move develop all that.
All that stuff is is developed by all these these test squadrons and all these DOD engineers and these people who are blues, you know, blue suitors and civilians, they're the ones who are doing all this work.
They may go ahead and give stuff to some of the contractors who will later on take it to their company.
But what when you're sitting there saying we don't produce anything, you know, as far as assembly line or whatever, uh, yeah, they don't have the DOD doesn't have factories where they make stuff, but a lot of the work, a lot of the innovations, a lot of the things we give to the private sector to develop, one that's the point.
That's the point.
There isn't if if that if what you were saying is true, the economy would be growing left and right.
The economy would be growing through the roof, and it's not.
But but unless you're saying I'm not being by the way, the military by definition was exempted from this survey.
Uniformed military with a blue suitors, but I I a lot of the people you're talking about I work with a lot of civilians.
I'm in I'm in a headquarters.
And I'll tell you if we didn't have our civilians there, we we would all that work.
I've already got nine additional duties in in addition to the two primaries I got.
And my the civilian employees, they're our continuity.
And without them, we would be hoes.
Like Gates is getting ready to close down Joint Forces Command.
I found that out today.
And guess what?
That work ain't gonna go away.
And then he's targeting other higher headquarters in different places for civilian cuts and contr looking at contractors first, who in a lot of ways were.
Right, okay.
Are you talking wait a minute?
Are you talking about Obama?
Uh Gates.
Well, I'm talking Gates.
Secretary Gates came out, it's on uh defense week.
Okay, that's the administration.
Look at what they're replacing these people with.
Who you you talk when they close down joint forces commander, they're they're gonna eliminate a lot of civilian billets.
Uh contractors first, and then maybe the GF or the government employees maybe ship the city.
We're not looking on it on a network.
We're not losing federal jobs.
We're producing them.
We're gaining 250,000 new federal jobs for all these changes that you're talking about.
The federal workforce is continuing to grow.
What what do you make?
What what what do you make where you work?
As far as I'm active duty military, so I bring home about uh 40,000.
No, no, no.
What product do you make?
What is the joint forces command make?
I don't work the joint forces command.
I don't I'm I'm headquarters AFSOC.
Well, but whatever.
What product do you make?
They work programs.
No, no, no.
I want to know what weapon do you what gun, what bomb, what what weapon do you create?
What do you make?
As far as the the military in general?
Um, you're saying that all these workers that you're talking about create some.
I want to know what it is.
They do they do re a lot of the people who research and development are the ones who are taking the RD existing.
They do the research and development, I think that says it.
Look, folks, it's no more complicated than this.
I don't care what you do if you work for government.
I don't care what you do and where you do it.
You don't get paid until somebody in the private sector works, produces something, performs a service, and is taxed for doing it.
Nobody in government gets paid.
But Rush, but Rush, what about the defense budget?
Well, yeah.
Uh Obama's cutting the defense budget.
Gates today, the sec defense secretary, has announced defense department budget cuts, as Democrats always do.
It's the only place they cut, really cut.
Defense department cuts.
You know, Rush, what, but what about what about all the planes?
And what about all the weapons?
They're still manufactured as some plant that's not owned by the government.
And the money to make those planes was produced by people in the private sector.
It was then taxed, went to Washington, and then spent or given away or bonused or whatever.
Uh by by people who live in Washington.
There's not one product the government makes.
There's not one service the government performs.
Well, I take it back.
DMV.
Passports, but I mean, look what you have to go through to get an act done.
But the bottom line is none of those people get paid without somebody in the private sector going to work and being taxed.
It's just that simple.
And when there are more and more people who are being paid on the taxes of other people, and the government's sec share of the private sector is growing, it ain't good.
And that is what's happening now.
This is not a cut, by the way.
We're not trying to ridicule or impugn individual people.
I'm talking about the people in charge of this structure who are in favor of declining growth in the private sector, managing it, happy about it, while they exercise the growth and celebrate the growth of the growth of the public sector.
I mean, it's just it's dollars and cents.
Plain and simple.
I want to go back to this Jennifer Granholm thing.
She she accused me of calling the vault a lemon, and it wasn't me.
It was the New York Times.
I just remembered.
The New York Times, and I quoted from a story, the word lemon was in their headline.
Yeah, you remember that that with the it was uh uh let's see uh this uh the vault.
GM's electric lemon.
It was an op-ed story.
New York Times.
I was quoting the New York Times, and she probably thinks I meant up the word lemon, but I pointed out it wasn't GM's electric lemon.
It wasn't me that said it.
I was quoting when that ran in the New York Times.
Now let's look at this back back to her comments for just a second.
Lest we forget, we were told, ladies and gentlemen, Back in February of 2009, when they were appointed, that only two out of the ten members of Obama's task force drove American cars.
They drive uh Volvos, they drive Lexus, uh Toyotas.
They all drove imports.
Now did Graham Grantholm say anything about that.
When Obama's task force members are all buying foreign cars.
Detroit News, February 23rd, 2009, auto team drives imports.
Was in the Detroit News David Shepherdson, the Detroit News Washington Bureau wrote the story.
I don't remember Governor Granholm complaining that Obama's own task force was not going out and patronizing American-made cars by American-made workers, which was creating jobs.
Among the eight members named Friday to the presidential task force on the auto industry, and the ten senior policy aides who will assist them in their work, too.
Two owner models.
But I do have to uh correct myself.
I keep I do.
Why are you frowning?
Why are you do you worry when I have to correct myself?
Don went, oh no.
My staff is so loving and protective.
They're just convinced that one of these days I'm going to put my foot in it and it's going to be cement.
And I'm never going to get out of it.
And when I say, uh-oh, I have to correct myself, oh no, is this the time?
Is this it?
Is this when Russia stepped in the cement?
My mistake was in saying that the government does not make a product.
They do now.
It's called the Chevrolet Vault.
And I I I really I need to um ask for your forgiveness.
In forgetting that.
And I because the GM, they've not paid back their loan.
They they've still owned by the government and the United Auto Workers.
And so the government does make something.
The first car produced and designed by Obama Motors is the Chevrolet Vault.
Forgive me for forgetting that.
The New York Times editorial was uh by Edward Niedermeyer.
Back to the phones of Greg and Louis, Kentucky.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hi, Russ.
How are you doing?
Good, sir.
This Obama crowd is amazing.
What's on American is the government owning a controlling interest in a major car company?
I think that's an America.
Absolutely.
And of course, let's not even let's not even mention that Jennifer Granholm is the architect of a state in decline like we haven't seen in I don't know how many years in this country, maybe ever.
Well, that's what I was wondering.
It seems like Michelle Antoinette could comfort her friend on the Gulf Coast or in Nevada or California.
One of the resorts out there where we really need some help.
Uh it's just an illustration of what I say about the liberals.
You know, we've got states like Indiana, they're in surplus.
We've got states like Michigan and California that are billions of dollars in the hull.
It's all about cutting the spending, and it's apparently Michelle uh Antoinette can't control her own spending and the government can't control its spending.
Well, uh, but you heard Cokey Roberts, ABC News say that uh Michelle was helping Spain's economy.
Spain's needs some help too.
Well, maybe that's Spanish can elect Democrats this fall.
Well that was a stimulus plan.
But you know, the here's the here's the thing.
There are two stories.
The first story was that Michelle's daughter said she wanted to go to Spain.
That was uh for birthday.
That was uh sorry, vacation present, something like that.
Then the story came out, Lynn Sweet, Chicago Sun Times.
No, no, no.
That's not that.
Michelle's gynecologist's father died in uh in in July and needed to be comforted.
Uh Republican states, responsible states like Indiana, are now having to bail out these irresponsible states like California, Illinois, New York, Michigan, and so forth and so on.
Well, it's about social justice.
I'm responding here to the caller who's talking about Michelle My Bell and why doesn't she stimulate others?
They, by the way, I think that I see that they are begrudgingly gonna take a couple days on the uh Florida Gulf Coast.
They're gonna pensacolas over to go to people like Obama calls that the redneck Riviera.
The elites, the pointy-headed academics, the people offs much better than we are, far superior to us, uh, call the the Gulf Coast the Redneck Riviera.
Any mongrels in the Redneck Riviera?
Well, Obama said he's a mongrel, so if he goes, there will be some mongrels.
That's what he Yeah, just that was just snurdly asking me a uh question from Portsmouth, Virginia, Portsmouth man says somebody stole his identity, and now he cannot get a driver's license.
Alfonso Reynolds believes that somebody stole his personal papers after he left them in a broken down truck four years ago.
He had charges placed against him for crimes he did not commit.
It's a Nissan 88 pickup.
And she starts up, his friend said.
Gave him uh the vehicle, but he can't use it without a driver's license.
Somebody stole his identity.
We had the story last week that the social security numbers of young children who've just been given the numbers, not even working yet, are being stolen.
And you don't want this to happen to you, and there's a way to prevent it from happening, and it's called life.
Well, nobody can ever totally prevent identity theft.
But the best place you can go to protect yours is life lock.
Uh and when I well, any time I see stories like this, and it as well known as life luck is, and as ridiculously inexpensive as life lock is, I have to ask myself, why does this still happen in such frequency?
Because when it comes to protecting your identity, and nobody else but life, I mean, there are other competitors, but LifeLock's identity alert system is the best there is.
And they'll take your social security number and they will not give it to anybody else.
I remember I had to sign up for some additional services for a couple things I have, and every place I wanted one in my social security number.
And I said, I am not giving you my social security.
You do not need my social security number for this.
And they back down.
But all these places that will ask you for a lot of okay, here it is.
You do not have to surrender your social security number.
In most of these instances.
Life lock is one outfit I have given my social security numbers so that others will be prevented from using it.
Life Lock's number is 800-440-4833.
Save 10% using my name when you call.
The offer code is Rush at 800-440-4833.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have El Rush Ball on the Excellence in Broadcasting Network.
How are the Obamas gonna squeeze in a uh Redneck Riviera vacation in their already busy vacation schedule?
I mean, these people are taking four vacations this month.
Well, maybe a couple of them in July, a couple of them in uh August.
They're supposed to spend most of August in Martha's Vineyard.
At least ten days up there.
That's where Skip Gates goes.
Skip Gates has a place on Martha's Vineyard.
See, Obamas are gonna go up there.
Um they've been to Spain.
Well, Obama didn't go, but uh th these people vacation left and right, and there's no criticism of it.
Well, presidents need their vacation time.
Bush didn't, of course.
Bush didn't.
Bush refused to play golf during the Iraq War.
Obama goes plays golf shoots hoops.
Presidents need their recreation time.
Bush didn't, but but Obama does.
Where are they gonna find the time to squeeze in a couple days in Florida?
With all of their vacation time.
Amy in Houston, you're next.
Rush Limbaugh program.
Hi.
Hi, Russ.
Hi, Amy.
Hi, it's so good to talk to you.
It's an honor.
Thank you very much.
We pray for you, and we hope you're gonna be doing what you do for a long, long time.
Thank you very much, as do I. I just had a quick comment.
You had played earlier.
Um, a couple people that said, you know, we should just be thankful that Michelle is such a good mom, that she wants to take these kind of trips for her daughters, that that just shows, you know, how supportive she is and how involved she is in her girls' lives.
And I didn't realize you had to take trips to Spain and you know, rent out that many hotel rooms to show that you were a good mom.
Otherwise, I'm in big trouble.
My daughter turned nine last month.
And well, yeah, but she's also showing that the her her kids places in the world that they've never seen before.
Yeah, that's that's fabulous, but I wasn't aware that that proved you were a good mom.
That proves you have a lot of money, maybe, and you have, you know, opportunity to do that.
But you know, we have birthday parties at home with friends and cake and ice cream.
Does that mean that mean I don't care about, you know, my daughter?
I don't want to show her the world.
Is that what they're trying to say?
I think that just shows that at a touch they are with No, you know exactly what it means, and you I know your questions are rhetorical.
What it means is that everybody in the partisan political operative media knows that this was a huge mistake.
They know that but at the same time, you know, I I'm I gave you the real reason why everybody's excusing this last week.
And it was all over the internet, which is how I know I hit a home run, which is how I know it was the bullseye.
And here it is.
Here's the reason again.
The liberals in this country, the left, the elite, who are walking around with a collective guilt of 200 some odd years over our nation's slave past, over our discrimination past and the uh uh uh all of the things that are that are in uh civil rights violations, all of these things they're running around, it's it's the animating factor of many sports writers, by the way.
It's the thing that animates them.
It's the thing that animates a lot of people on the left.
And Michelle my Belle Obama is descended from slaves.
As the left has pointed out, not me, as leftist preachers have pointed out, she's got slave blood, whereas Obama himself does not.
He's not authentic, she is.
Now, for years and years and years, powerful people have been able to game the system and travel all over the world and have fine meals and fine wine and all of these fine things.
It's only fair and it's only right that members of an abused minority now get their share of the pie.
How it's it's like vacation affirmative action.
And the left and the media not dare going to be critical of this.
If it were George Bush's wife that had done this, you or even Hillary, that it would have made some excuses for for Hillary too, but not like they've done here.
And if and and you know, if Bill and if if if well I if George Bush and Laura had spent his birthday continents apart, there would be all kinds of attention focused on this.
So it's there there's there's uh uh a lot of guilt in this, but there's also a lot of protection.
The media know full well how tone-deaf this was.
The media know full well what a political mistake this was.
You look at the way the media went after Sarah Palin's wardrobe during the campaign.
What was that?
Hundred and fifty thousand dollar wardrobe.
And they tried to say that it was given to her by people that she kept the clothes, and what a horrible example this was.
She's not entitled to that.
Yet we get stories every day on the fashion consciousness and the trend setting fashion of Michelle my Bell Obama.
So there's clearly a double standard here, and I do believe not only is there a racial component, but there's an ideological component.
The left is going to circle the wagons and protect its own regardless.
But at the same time, it's just not possible for people who have been held in slavery and who have been discriminated.
It's not possible for them to uh to to game the system or or to act in excess because so much is owed to them.
Now this is this is uh uh very clear about this.
This is the attitude of many in the media.
It's the attitude of many on the left.
You all know that guilt, a collective guilt and a self-loathing, is one animates many of these people.
So there's never going to be any condemnation.
There will be excuses upon excuses offered, explanations, and even criticism of those who dare to question the propriety of the first lady taking 40 friends in 60 rooms at a five-star hotel for five days in Spain.
How dare you criticize?
Who are you to criticize?
Have you no idea what these people have been through?
That's the underlying tone here.
But they all know, they all know that in flyover country this is not play.
In flyover country, this does not look good, and they're not getting away with it.
Quick timeout, folks, back with much more after this.
Don't go away.
Now don't forget, these are the same Obamas who said, and they make a big deal out of not giving their kids birthday and Christmas presents.
Remember that?
And yet the excuse for the trip.
Well, Sasha wanted to go to Spain.
Well, wait, I thought you didn't give them presents.
You want to spoil them.
Well, that's not a present to go to Spain, it's another part of the world.
Right.
And never doubt, government does not create wealth, it destroys it.
It redistributes wealth and destroys it, but it does not create it.
