Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
The Obama health care show last night on ABC came in last place.
The uh the ratings are in.
At least the overnights are.
The uh overnights give an indication where the national rating is gonna be.
The rating was sickly.
The Town Hall special struggled for viewers.
It got 4.7 million viewers.
1.1 million in the 18 to 49 demo.
And it had the fewest viewers in a 10 o'clock hour, which is when it was on.
Greetings, folks.
Great to have you with us to the fastest week in media already Thursday.
I know they needed me on the show if they uh if they wanted ratings.
No, I didn't watch it.
There's no way I was gonna watch.
In fact, folks, let me tell you something.
I have often argued uh that the way we have to deal with this is just to stop accepting these people's premises for crying out loud.
Look at what's going on just this week that has to be done tomorrow.
Has to be, has to be the stupid cap and tax plan, which is an abomination.
It is a massive tax increase that is going to lower everybody's standard of living.
It's gonna punish everybody who has achieved, it's gonna limit mobility.
It is an absolute disaster.
The answer is no.
Tomorrow or next week or next year or next ten years, no to the cap and tape program.
We don't need to debate it around the edges.
We might have to explain it to people.
Uh now we got the health care push, Rama Manual up on Capitol Hill or phoning them up.
We gotta get health care done.
We gotta get today, and we have to get it done tomorrow.
In fact, with the back cap and trade, Al Gore was going to go to DC today to lobby members.
Nope.
It's in such crisis.
Al Gore is staying in Nashville and working the phones.
So we got to get that done today.
We have to get it done today, have to get it done.
Healthcare have to get it done today, have to get it done today.
Folks, let me tell you something.
The answer to all this is no.
He wants to fix things with which there are no major problems.
There and and he doesn't, and his fixes are not fixes.
His fixes are destructive.
Barack Obama wants to destroy the private sector of this country.
I read some of the transcripts of this show last night.
I've seen some of the reports of it.
I didn't I did I didn't need to watch this thing to know what it was gonna be.
It was an infomercial.
It was a Barack Obama filibuster.
Somebody, I for I got the story here somewhere.
Somebody clocked the camera time and the uh speech time everybody got.
Was it newsbusters?
Yes.
Obama got sixty percent of the airtime last night.
A couple questions that were supposed to be asked were not asked.
Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibbs, whoever else.
Obama got 60% of the airtime.
It was a filibuster last night.
And here's Obama talking about he's going to allow people to keep their doctor.
Who the hell is he to allow us to do anything?
We gotta stop thinking about this the way we do.
Who is he to say he is going to allow us to keep our doctor?
Sorry, folks.
That's not his job.
The President of the United States does not personally permit or allow anyone to do anything except people who work for him.
The bottom line is he works for us.
We are the ones that have the power to say, no, we're not gonna allow you to destroy our private sector.
We're not gonna permit you to destroy the greatest economy in the history of the world.
We're not gonna permit you to do it.
And the polls on issue by issue by issue all illustrate that a majority of Americans don't support what he's doing, but that he still remains popular.
Now, if you paid attention to the news today, after Cap and Trade, got to get that done tomorrow, gotta get it done tomorrow, got to get it done.
Cap and gotta get it done.
You know why they want to get it done, get it out of the way before anybody finds out what it is.
And then so they can move on to health care, get that done tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow before anybody can find out what's in it.
Yeah, you let a number of Americans find out that unions are exempt from any tax increase on their health care benefits, and there's a number of other things in this bill that that uh if people found out about, they would oppose it even more than they already do.
Obama doesn't want you to know what's in this bill.
People voting on it are not even going to re-in fact, Senator Kennedy's version of the health care bill mandates That members of Congress are exempt from whatever health care bill Obama and Kennedy come up with.
It's right in his bill.
John Fund found it.
That's why it has to be done tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow before anybody finds out what's in it.
And for the New York Times today, President Obama expected to meet with congressional leaders of both parties today to begin laying the political groundwork for sweeping immigration reform, even though its passage this year is considered very unlikely.
So look at what's happening here.
Immigration reform, we know what that is.
That's amnesty.
That's more Democrat voters.
Gotta have cap and trade.
And, you know, because it's global warming and so some idiot, some idiot on his blog actually blamed global warming for Tiger Woods losing the U.S. Open because global warming brought about all that rain on the opening day when Tiger was in the early tea times and it screwed up his whole tournament.
He doesn't mention the fact that June has been the coldest on record in New York in many, many, well, the coldest in many, many, many years.
I mean, these people are just nuts, they are absurd, they are dangerous, and we just need to say no.
We're all getting caught up here in what is the definition of normal.
You know what normal is?
Climate change is normal.
The climate is always changing.
But for some reason, we now have it in our midst that the climate today is perfect, that this is what should always be, that this is what has always been, and somehow, uh, if we don't if we don't keep this variation of normal, this version of normal, we're all gonna die.
Well, normal is climate does change.
It's not even arguable.
It's all over history.
Ice ages, massive deserts all over the planet, climate change is normal, there's nothing anybody can do about it, except we adapt.
Which is what we've always done.
Health care.
There's nothing wrong when this guy says, I'm gonna allow you to keep your own doctor in the first place.
That is a lie.
You're not gonna be able to keep your own doctor because Obama's gonna cut their fees.
Look, I'm gonna go through the details of this anyway.
Today, there's some points that have to be made about it.
For the first time in my life, I'm hearing somebody say we are going to cut costs in health care, but the only way he can do that is to reduce the number of people accessing the system.
The only way he can do that is by telling doctors they can't charge as much, or insurance companies they can't charge as much.
Now I want to ask you who's gonna go into the medical profession to be a doctor if Barack Obama has to sit there and prove what they can make.
If Barack Obama gets decide what they get paid per treatment per patient, whatever they do.
He doesn't have the right to allow me anything.
He doesn't have the permission.
Who in hell does he think he is to stand up there and say, well, I'll allow you to keep your own dis screw you.
Allow me to keep my own doctor?
You don't even know my doctor.
My doctor don't even like you.
None of my doctors do.
Allow me to keep my own doctor.
Global warming, cap and trade, immigration reform.
The answer to all this is no.
Stop.
Meanwhile, all this is going on, and the private sector continues to beat beaten up.
The economy tumbled at a 5.5% pace in the first quarter, although it appears to be doing better now, even though heavy layoffs it is not doing better now.
It is plunging, it is getting worse, as Warren Buffett said yesterday, it is in a shambles.
A separate government report found new jobless claims jumped unexpectedly last week.
Unexpectedly.
What's unexpected about it?
Obama himself even predicted 10% unemployment, so why the hell is state-run AP saying it's unexpected?
Don't they trust the Messiah when he tells them unemployment's gonna hit 10%?
Continuing claims for unemployment benefits rose more than expected.
Who are these people?
All of this is predictable.
We've got a man single-handedly trying to whack the U.S. private sector.
Tony Soprano has taken over the U.S. government, and the private sector is an opposing family.
He's gonna wipe it out.
It'll be brought back to life on an HBO series soon.
So unemployment's going up, the economy's slowing down.
Now what are we doing?
We're coming up with recipes to make it even worse.
We're coming up with recipes to cause the economy to shrink faster, job lessness to increase faster.
We are going in debt, the likes of which none of us have ever seen.
There is no stop to this.
The Republicans have done their own scoring on this stupid health care plan.
Three and a half trillion dollars is what they say.
The CBO says 1.6.
The fact is, nobody knows.
It is going to be so much.
It is going to be so expensive.
It's going to be so inefficient.
It isn't going to work, and it's gonna bankrupt the country.
Which you figure people know this and they're still willing to do it.
The hell.
So the answer to all this is just no.
We don't have crisis after crisis after crisis.
We don't have a country that was headed down the tubes.
We may have one now given who's running it.
And that's why we have to say no.
Saving the United States of America means Obama has to be stopped.
Rom Emanuel has to be stopped.
David Axelrod has to be stopped.
Mayor Daly of Chicago has to be stopped because that's his run of the show.
They have to be stopped.
Arguing about this on the margins is a little too esoteric.
Anyway, uh I've got to take a brief time out here.
We'll uh be back.
I've got sound bites from the show.
It's another reason.
See, I pay people to watch this garbage, and I don't want to waste time watching.
And they tell me what happened.
I got the sound bites from some of this stuff.
And we're gonna play it, and we're gonna go through all of this.
But the answer I'm gonna say throughout the whole program is no.
We don't need any of this.
We don't need it.
We already have evidence that Obama's recipes fail.
How's that stimulus plan working getting you your new job?
How's Wall Street doing?
Big time raises, big time bonuses.
You get zilch, you lose your job.
Gas prices are going up.
You know the you know the reason why he took over GM and Chrysler?
It's only it's in his book.
It's I don't know which one of his two books.
The reason he took over GM and Chrysler is very simple.
He needed the the unions don't like the idea of retooling the manufactured cars nobody wants.
Because nobody buys them, therefore there's no need to build them, therefore there are layoffs.
Obama wants people driving around little putt-putt hybrids.
The only way he can do it is to take over the auto companies and give the uh unions insurance that they're not gonna lose any jobs, incomes, or benefits when the company start making cars nobody wants.
And voila, we got it's in his book, and we've got it.
They own General Motors and they own majority of Chrysler.
And they're covered.
And now they're not gonna be taxed on their health care benefits.
The answer's no.
The answer is no, and we ought to be damn proud to say we're the party of no or we're the country of no or what have you.
Meanwhile, the Iranians are nuking up and the North Koreans are nuking up, and Obama doesn't give a rat's rear end about it.
Uh we have real problems that face us, and they're not the ones he's dealing with.
He is inventing and creating new problems with his so-called solutions.
The answer is no.
By the way, folks, the uh immigration bill.
Let me just read to you from the state run.
New York Times, immigration reform, Obama set for first step on immigration reform.
Now, later down the story, White House officials do not rule out the possibility of an immigration overhaul before midterm congressional campaigns are in full swing next year.
Some White House officials, however, say passage of Obama's immigration reform means amnesty will more likely come in twenty eleven when Obama hopes to tap his broad support among Hispanic voters as he begins his run for re-election.
So get the whole thing in motion now, play with it all the way through 2011, and then push it big time as an issue during the re-election campaign.
Now remember, this is going to happen.
That strategy is going to happen.
And the Republican Party has and has an opportunity to learn from a giant boondoggle they made in 2008, and that is thinking that they can take the Hispanic vote away from Obama by also being for amnesty.
We tried it in 2008 and it didn't work.
It didn't work big time.
So we know what's coming.
We know what he's gonna do.
The answer is no.
I've been thinking very carefully about this health care issue.
Very carefully, and as you people know, when I think I am dangerous.
I can see Obama actually cutting health care costs only if he takes some millions of people off of health care.
I don't know how you cut health care costs by covering more people.
The math doesn't work.
Cutting costs by putting then we're talking about these 47 million uninsured, which is a bogus number anyway, but let's deal with it since that's what they're using.
Cutting costs by putting 40 million people on health care defies common sense.
I can further see Obama promising better health care by taking 40 million people off of him.
Not saying this.
If he would say this, it would make sense.
With less patients, doctors would have more time.
You know, we want smaller classrooms, right?
For better education.
Well, fewer cases, doctors that have more time could have better care, right?
This so-called health care debate is no longer about health care reform.
The issue is real simple.
Who do you trust more?
You and your doctor and your common sense, or Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress.
That's what this is about.
Who do you trust more?
Here's what Obama actually said at his press conference yesterday while, you know, and I was, I was uh I was on the way back from Hawaii.
He said, like energy, this is legislation that must and will be paid for.
It will not add to our deficits over the next decade.
We will find the money through savings and efficiencies within the health care system, some of which we've already announced.
Now let's try this test of logic.
What are we told about education?
We're told that to improve education, we have to pay teachers more.
In other words, we have to spend more money to improve education, right?
We know that that doesn't result in improved education, but this is what we are told.
So I, you know, I don't buy it.
But let's say it's true.
Let's just take them and their premise for what it is.
To improve education, you have to pay teachers more.
To improve education, we have to spend more.
But to improve health care, we're gonna spend less.
We're gonna pay health care providers less.
Who do you trust more?
Yourself, your doctor, or Obama, and the Democrats in Congress.
Let me let me ask you this.
What will encourage more people to become doctors?
Less pay, more government control, or higher pay.
The state-run media, Robert B. Rice are clinging to that rigged New York Times poll last week to show overwhelming support for reform.
That that poll was as rigged a poll as we have ever seen.
It was stacked, not with Democrats versus Republicans' independence, it was stacked with Obama supporters.
It was a rigged poll.
They were polling the wrong people.
Well, they done it should have done, they should have gone out and polled the ChICOMs.
Do you want to lend one trillion or two trillion to Obama to pay for his health care reform?
That's just a question.
The idea that he is going to somehow improve coverage and cut costs doesn't work when you're talking about 47 million uninsured.
And I have a story here in the Los Angeles Times.
Headline Obama discusses deathbed measures, and we talked about this yesterday.
When Obama and his buds are in control, your health care, and there will be no private health care unless you can afford it personally.
he promises that the government run plan will play with the same rules, but it's not possible because they don't have to make a profit, the private sector does.
We told you yesterday that your health care will be determined on how much the government values your worth.
In a nationally televised event at the White House, Obama said families need better information, so they don't unthinkingly approve additional tests or additional drugs that the evidence shows is not necessarily going to make a difference.
He said, Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, just take the painkiller.
Maybe you're better off not having the surgery.
Just take the painkiller.
There it is.
He even he said it last night.
He wants to decide.
He wants his government to decide whether or not it's worth treating you.
Or whether to give you a painkiller, zone you out for the rest of your life.
We are back, Rush Linboa, this the Excellence and Broadcasting Network.
Great to have you here, and we'll get to your phone calls at some point today.
800-282-2882 is the number.
All right, let's go to uh one of the most interesting exchanges in the uh infomercial last night, and ABC Jake Tapper in describing this, says President Obama struggled to explain today whether his health care reform proposals would force normal Americans to make sacrifices that wealthier, more powerful people like himself would not face.
The probing questions came from two skeptical neurologists during the ABC News infomercial on Obama health care reform.
And the first question that we're referring to here is Dr. Orin Devinsky, he's a New York neurosurgeon.
And he asked this question of President Obama if your wife or your daughter became seriously ill and things were not going well, and the plan physicians told you they were doing everything that could be done, and you sought out opinions from some medical leaders in major centers, and they said there's another option that you should pursue.
But it wasn't covered in your plan.
Would you potentially sacrifice the health of your family for the greater good of ensuring millions, or would you do everything possible as a father and husband to get the best health care and outcome for your family?
Let me translate the question.
A neurosurgeon asked Obama, okay, you got a health care plan.
You've got the health care plan that you're going to prescribe for everybody else.
Your wife or your daughter comes down with a major illness.
Your plan goes through the uh diagnosis.
And then you find out that there's some other doctor out there somewhere with another procedure and another form of treatment, another opinion, but your plan doesn't cover it.
Are you gonna stick with the plan you've forced on everybody else, or are you gonna use your wealth and go outside the plan to get the treatment for your wife and daughter that other people are not going to be able to do because they don't have the money?
That's the question.
He did not answer it.
You're absolutely right that if it's my family member, it's my wife, uh, is if it's my children, if it's my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care.
But here's the problem that we have in our current health care system, is that there is a whole bunch of care that's being provided that every study, every bit of evidence that we have indicates may not be making us healthier.
All he did there was say you admit, you know, I want the best care, best health care possible.
Well, so the hell does everybody else.
That wasn't the question.
The question was, are you gonna go outside the plan that you have prescribed for everybody?
See, the dirty little secret is he's gonna be exempt from the plan, as are all members of Congress.
The question was a good one.
You're gonna go outside the plan.
If you find a better doctor, better treatment your plan doesn't cover.
Well, you're right, I'd go get the best care I could.
I really I want the best care.
Then comes this irrelevant, non sequitur answer that we have a bunch of care that's being provided indicates may not make making us healthier.
That folks, I'm telling you, the the answer to this question you need to focus on, Obama is looking to cut health care.
He's looking to cut it because that's the only way he can keep costs where they are or reduce them, which is not gonna happen anyway.
We have the best health care system in the country, and he's going to he's he's going to restrict access to it as a means of saving money.
That's the only way he can do it.
So we wouldn't answer the good doctor's question.
The answer to the question is for President Obama.
Yeah, I'm going to use the wealth I've acquired and I'm going to go get the best treatment I can.
But the vast majority of Americans will not be able to do that because they aren't going to be able to afford it.
They're going to be stuck at a plan that doesn't cover everything they might need.
And Obama's answer is, well, maybe you don't need the treatment.
Maybe you don't uh quality of life is such, you don't need it anyway, we'll say money.
Next question.
Member of the audience, Jane Sturm.
My mother is now over 105.
But at 100, the doctor said to her, I can't do anything more unless you have a pacemaker.
I said, go for it.
She said, go for it.
But the specialist said, no, she's too old.
But when the other specialist saw her, saw her joy of life, and so on, he said, I'm going for it.
That was over five years ago.
My question to you is outside the medical criteria for prolonging life for somebody who's elderly.
Is there any consideration that can be given for a certain spirit, a certain joy of living, a quality of life, or is it just a medical cutoff at a certain age?
I don't think that we can make judgments based on people's spirit.
That'd be uh a pretty subjective decision to be making.
I think we have to have rules that uh say that we are going to provide good quality care for all people.
End of life care is one of the most difficult sets of decisions that we're gonna have to make.
But understand that those decisions are already being made in one way or another.
If they're not being made under Medicare and Medicaid, they're being made by private insurers.
At least we can let doctors know, and your mom know that you know what, maybe this isn't gonna help.
Maybe you're better off uh not having the surgery, but taking uh the painkiller.
Do you realize how cold and heartless that answer is?
This woman is asking about her mother, and everywhere she went, except one doctor, refused to put in the pacemaker.
She's too old, she's gonna die anyway.
Found a specialist, this woman really loves living.
I'll put it in there.
She's lived five years with the pacemaker.
And still Obama says, you know, maybe maybe your bet you're better off is to tell your mother take a pill, take a painkiller.
See, we have to have rules.
We have to have rules.
Your mother should have died five years ago, lady.
She'd have been better off taking a painkiller.
Who says we have to have his rules?
The president of the United States is not a king.
He's not an autocrat.
He's not a ruler.
He doesn't get to set the rules.
Obama has taken it upon himself to do so.
This woman found a way to get her mother a pacemaker.
With Obamacare, you just heard the answer, it wouldn't have happened.
I know how this stuff works.
The hospitals are under pressure to free up beds if they think somebody's terminal get them out of there.
I understand how all of this works, but we're not talking about a terminal woman here.
We're talking about a woman who needed a pacemaker.
I don't think we can make judgments based on people's spirit.
That'd be a pretty subjective decision to be making.
Maybe not if the government's in charge, that's the whole point.
What about if families do not families have a right to judge the spirit of their mothers and fathers and family members?
Of course, do we want a cold, cruel, unfeeling government saying spirit doesn't matter to us?
That's exactly right.
Obama wants you he the best way to put it, and it's working.
He's trying to kill spirit.
All this hope and change, he's trying to kill it.
Do you know how many frustrated Americans there are out there at what's happening?
This Sanford business, I'm gonna tell you one of the first thoughts that crossed my mind with Mark Sanford.
Just this was the first thought.
What he did defies logic.
This was this this is this is this is more than being 180 degrees out of phase because of lust or love to split the scene for five days.
And we know he's been separated.
And he knows, by the way, that the newspaper in his state has the emails between him and his and his uh and his concubine down there in Argentina.
He knows this.
He knows that somebody knows what's going on.
He knows his wife knows.
So he ups and leaves for five days, doesn't leave anybody in charge of the state in case there's an emergency.
This is almost like I don't give a damn.
Country's going to hell in a handbasket.
I just want out of here.
He had just tried to fight the stimulus money coming to South Carolina.
He didn't want any part of it.
He lost the battle.
He says, What the hell?
I mean, I'm federal government's taking over to what the hell.
I want to enjoy life.
First, one of the first things I thought.
Now today he's saying you don't want to give up office, he won't stay in office, but even even Charles Krauthammer says this is like self-inflicted political suicide.
And it it certainly appeared to be.
The point is there are a lot of people whose spirit is just they're fed up saying to hell with it.
I I don't even want to fight this anymore.
It's just because I just want to get away from it.
And oh, here's Obama admitting, well, we can't we can't start make judgments based on people's spirit.
Imagine if we had had presidents in the past, so we couldn't make judgments on any number of political issues using people's spirit.
You know, it's the the American exceptionalism, the spirit of can-doism that built the country.
Spirits everything.
Energy, desire, get up and go, ambition.
The woman's mother had an ambition to live.
She just needed a pacemaker.
Didn't matter.
She should take a painkiller.
I'm telling you, this is a cold-hearted, ruthless guy.
Not a cool common collected one.
Brief timeout, we'll be back and continue after this.
Welcome back.
Simply by showing up, John Fund today on the trail, a Wall Street Journal.
Beware Obama cares fine print.
And I referenced this earlier.
There's a reason the Obama health care plan is being rushed through Congress this summer because the American people would likely never support it if given the time to absorb and understand such fine print as the unions being exempt from any tax increase on health care benefits provided by the boss.
If the union carve out isn't sufficient to excite public anger, wait till you hear about the version of the Obama plan prepared by Senator Kennedy.
That plan would specifically exempt members of Congress from many of the Obama health care plan provisions.
As the U.S. Office of Personnel Management notes, members of Congress enjoy the widest selection of health plans in the country.
On page 114 of the Kennedy bill, a similar array of choices would not be available to other Americans in the future.
Instead, they would be shunted into health insurance plans under the straitjacket of whatever the government decides is a basic plan.
So the question that needs to be asked.
The one question, only question really, you need to call your senator and your member of Congress.
And you need to answer this very simply.
Are you going to opt out and forego your current health care plan in order to join the health care plan provided for most Americans by the Obama government?
And what do you think the answer you're going to get is?
The answer is hell no, I'm not giving up my health care plan, but we can't provide this kind of health coverage for every American.
So members of Congress and the Obama administration will not be subjected to the health care plan they are going to come up with.
They need to be this is what the doctor was trying to get at in his question to Obama.
Okay, you're going to come up with a public plan.
Your wife or your daughter comes Down with an illness that your current plan, the public plan doesn't cover.
Are you going to opt out of it because you can?
And you're going to go get better coverage?
He wouldn't answer the question.
The answer to the question is he's never going to be subjected to the plan they come up with for all of everybody else.
So you need to just today.
Send them an email, call them up and ask them, are you going to give up your current health care plan and enroll in the new public plan the Obama administration comes up with?
And you know damn well they won't.
And if they say they're not, that's over.
It's over.
If members of Congress are not going to join the plan they're devising for you, you don't want the plan.
You don't want the plan.
And I can tell you right now that they're not going to give up the health care plan they got.
Then they're not going to join any piece of garbage plan they come up with for all the rest of us.
And if they tell you they think about it, they're not telling you the truth.
Obama wouldn't even answer that question last night.
He had to start talking about we're treating too many people for too many things that shouldn't be treated for.
We're not focusing on quality of coverage, we're focusing on quantity.
That's not, that's not that's obfuscation.
Just ask them.
You're gonna give up your health care plan, Senator So-and-so, and join the public plan with all the rest of us.
The plan that you write for us, the plan that you vote on, the plan you might not even read before you vote on it.
Just like you didn't read the stimulus bill, and just like what's his name, Waxman doesn't even know what's in his own cap and trade bill, because he hasn't read it.
Are you going to opt out of your health care plan that you have now that everybody knows is so great and join us in the public plan you create for everybody else?
If they say no, then the whole thing is off the table.
If it's not good enough for them, it's not good enough for you.
They don't have and should not have the power to determine what you can do taking care of yourself.
You should not give up the power that allows them to say they will permit you to do that and to do that, but they won't permit you to do this as you seek your own health care.
You turn your health care over to the state, and you're giving up all control over your health care.
You are in a crapshoot.
You may have walked it, may as well walked into a casino.
If you think your life is going to improve by giving up control of your own health care and your families, in exchange for some wizards who cannot manage Medicare, cannot manage Medicaid, cannot manage Social Security, cannot manage a DMV, cannot manage the Great Society of the War on Poverty, cannot manage the porcupist bill, cannot manage a damn thing they do.
You're gonna turn over something as important to you as health care decisions to a bunch of people who will not even enroll in the same plan they're gonna make you enroll in.
The answer is no.
I'm just checking the email.
Rush.
Are you kidding?
This this theory of yours about Sanford.
No, I'm not gonna my first thought was he said, to hell with this.
The Democrats are destroying the country.
We can't do anything to stop it.
I gave everything I had to stop it here in South Carolina.
My wife's left me to hell with it.
I'm gonna enjoy life.
What little time I got left.
Folks, I'm there are a lot of people that are looking at life.
They're saying, screw it.
They're saying screw it, and they're gonna before the government, before Obama takes away their money, before Obama takes away their house or the economy takes away their house, there are people who are simply saying, hell with this.
They've tuned out.
Hell with it, I'm just gonna try to enjoy this as much as I can.
And they're thinking about you know how many people Clinton was in Argentina the other night, from what I'm told.
I frankly think that this is what's wrong with the uh uh with the economy today.
I frankly think a whole lot of people just lost their spirit.
Normal Americans, cap and trade, stimulus bill, taking over the automobile company.
They see it, they don't have a voice to say, screw it.
I can't stop it.
The political party that I'm a member of has no spirit either.
Do you see any spirit out of the Republican Party?
Obama's killing it everywhere it used to be.
And that's why the economy is languishing because in normal times, people that make this country work overcome all these obstacles.
