Ladies and gentlemen, my gut started talking to me last night.
All week long, my gut was not telling me.
I told you I have no feel for this.
Normally I do.
Last night it started talking to me.
Too many things are happening here, and we have been subjected to a giant illusion from the get-go from the Obama campaign in the drive-by meeting.
It's Friday.
You know what that means.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open live Friday.
And we're going to get to your phone calls El Quicko in this hour.
So those of you who are on hold, hang in there and be tough.
It's coming to you soon.
800-282-2882.
If you want to be on the program, email address, lrushbow at EIBnet.com.
I just saw two things at the top of the hour.
As you know, Obama's going back to Iowa on Monday.
This is a state that's a lock.
Or it was supposedly a lock.
We got Palin going to Dubuque, Iowa on Monday as well.
Obama's going there.
Now, I watched Fox report this.
And see, now I'm totally, totally sensitive and aware of how this stuff happens.
You know how Fox, just on their little crawl in their Chiron, for those of you in Real Litter, that be the words at the bottom of the screen, what they said was Obama back to Iowa on Monday in an attempt to stretch lead.
And then the second story I saw that dovetails with this, Obama so confident that he's placing ads in Arizona.
He is so confident that he is, he wants, he wants this to be a humiliation of the Republicans.
The Obama camp, this is the word they put out.
They want to humiliate McCain and the Republicans.
And so Obama's placing ads in Arizona.
Arizona is McCain's home state.
Now, I for a, not for a second, do I believe that Obama is doing anything other than trying to create this illusion of an overwhelming victory?
I mean, stretch the lead.
Why would Fox report it that way?
Because the Obama campaigns, oh, that's why we're going.
We want to stretch the lead.
What are you doing placing money in Arizona?
Well, you know, we want to make this a convincing victory out there for the Obama campaign so that everybody had no doubt whatsoever who won this thing.
Now, one thing I've noticed about Arizona in McCain's Senate elections, he's always in trouble in the polls out there, and he always ends up winning.
Many of us have lamented that fact.
He always ends up winning in Arizona, no matter what the polls say.
Now, something tells me that going to Arizona for Obama to spend money out there, I know he's got the money, but I don't buy this notion that he's going to Iowa and Arizona to humiliate the Republicans and McCain and to stretch the lead.
Let me tell you what, one of the major factors that has hurt Obama in this last week is this guy right here.
Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people.
Hillary ain't never been called a nigga.
Bill did us just like he did Monica Lewinsky.
He was riding dirty in white America, US of KKKA, black men turning on black men.
I am sick of Negroes who just do not get it.
Not God bless America.
God damn America that's in the Bible for killing innocent people.
God America.
And now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front.
Yoga!
America's chickens are coming home.
That is the right Reverend Jeremiah Wright of the Trinity Church in Chicago, Obama's pastor for 20 years, the pastor Obama chose, the pastor Obama referred to in his book as the best of what the black church has to offer.
Obama has tried to throw Reverend Wright under the bus.
Reverend Wright didn't like it.
He has thrown his white grandmother under the bus.
By the way, any news on the health of the grandmother in Hawaii?
Oh, she's up and down.
She was, she was kind of like a tax cut then.
His tax cut number is up and down.
His grandmother's health is up and down.
He had to make an emergency trip out there a week ago.
You know that.
Go out there.
He had him.
He didn't want to compound the same mistake, not being there when his mom died.
So he had to get out there.
And shortly after he got out there, shortly after his left, the governor of Hawaii seals all the records involving his berf.
Back to the audio sound bites.
Oh, Jeremiah Wright, he said best of what the black church has to offer.
That's the preacher Obama chose for 20 years.
Now, on Charlie Rose's show last night on PBS, are they doing their pledge drive yet?
PBS doing their, because you know, without your pledge, we cannot dust.
He had on Tom Brokaw last night, ladies and gentlemen.
Here's a month.
Now, this is last night.
As you listen to this, keep in mind everything you've heard from Brokaw and others in the drive-bys for the past six months, three months, two months, or whatever.
This is a montage of Charlie Rose and Brokaw trying to figure out who Obama is.
I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.
No, I don't know how he really sees where China is.
We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
I don't really know.
And do we know anything about the people who are advising them?
You know, it's an interesting question.
He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational speeches.
I don't know what books he's read.
What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
There's a lot about him we don't know.
Incredible.
That's just, let's send a journalist to find out.
Why, have you guys ever thought of that, Tom?
Have you ever thought about sending a reporter to find out who the guy is?
Charlie, you got plenty of reporters here at PBS, at least on the radio.
Have you ever thought about sending anybody out to find out who he is besides the two books?
I cannot believe this.
But we know who his heroes are.
And of course, that's the point.
We know who his heroes are.
We know who his alliances are with.
We know who his friends are.
We know that he chose them all.
But to hear this, this is last night.
This is what, four days, five days before the election.
These are two of Obama's biggest media supporters.
I got to hear this again.
This is hilarious.
If it weren't so damn maddening, because the answer to this isn't the, hey, Tom, talk to the bureau chief in Washington, the new guy who replaced Russert.
What you do is you assign a reporter to go out and find out who Obama is.
I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.
No, I don't know how he really sees where China is.
Don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
I don't really know.
And do we know anything about the people who are advising them?
You know, it's an interesting question.
He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational speeches.
I don't know what books he's read.
What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
There's a lot about him we don't know.
Well, we know one of his heroes is a member of the Communist Party, Frank Davis, mentored him in Hawaii.
There's a lot we know, Tom.
Does this not ice it?
Does this not ice it?
We know as much as can be known about Obama, far more than he wants us to know.
And here are these two pillars of drive-by journalism.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Interesting question, Charlie.
I just think this is, yeah, it's true.
Two pillars of journalism.
One has an audience and one doesn't.
But it doesn't matter.
They're both still pillars.
Hey, Tom, Charlie, I think we can help here about his view of China.
This was last night on MSNBC, and he was asked this question.
Obama was, is there a possibility you could see in your first term, if elected, we need an economic stimulus, an FDR-style public works program?
I've actually talked about this.
I think we have to rebuild our infrastructure.
Look at what China's doing right now.
Their trains are faster than us.
Their ports are better than us.
They are preparing for a very competitive 21st century economy.
And we're not.
Okay, Charlie.
Tom, you just heard Obama say, after you're wondering where he is on China, he thinks they're better than us.
By the way, grammatically correct, it'd be better than we.
You don't say better than us are.
You say better than we are.
The trains run on time?
All this infrastructure?
Look at the infrastructure that cannot handle a 0.00001 earthquake.
Basically, a giant taking a couple of steps.
So crap some buildings over there.
But here's Barack Obama singing once again the praises of China, a communist country, and what?
Criticizing the United States.
Was an interesting point.
Very interesting point to an interesting question.
Tom Broker was an interesting question.
What is his attitude on China?
The people advising him, here it is.
He loves China.
He thinks the United States sucks.
Barack Obama, last night on PMS, NBC, your phone call's coming right up.
Somebody explained something to me.
Why would Broca and Charlie Rose last night veritably admit that they don't know anything about Obama?
Why would they do this?
I mean, this is not only is it they raise questions about their degree to inform themselves and their lack of interest.
Well, no, it's not that it's PBS and nobody's listening.
There's got to be, there has to be another reason for this.
And I can't figure it out.
Unless they're covering their bases, unless they're covering their bases and this guy loses, well, I don't really know what he stands for.
I don't, what?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
Okay.
Snerdley's idea is that they're covering their bases in case he wins and starts rolling out all this garbage, all this socialism, so they can, well, we didn't know about any of this.
So never going to get you not to like a box of chocolates.
You never know what you're going to get until you open it up.
Chocolate, by the way, a totally innocently used term just now.
Folks, please don't call Media Matters.
To the phones we go, this is Greg in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Hello, sir.
Hello.
Thank you for taking my call.
Yes, sir.
The reason why I called is I was one of those liberal Democrats that about 10 years ago thought himself entitled and a victim to my life and to my choices and woke up one day with an epiphany that my life is predicated on all the choices that I make and that freedom is the greatest pillar that I could freedom and choice are the greatest pillars that I could possibly possess.
And as a result, I am now, of course, a Republican, but what I understand about that freedom and choice is that I am responsible.
I must take ownership of every choice that I make.
I must be responsible to each one of those choices.
And I alleviate and eliminate the victim mentality that I was living in that I see so many Democrats living in right now.
You know what the source of this epiphany happened to be?
You know what caused this?
I wish I could pinpoint one particular thing, but it wasn't.
It was an inspiration from listening to a variety of people, reading a variety of people.
Come on, you can admit that it was me.
Well, part of it was you.
Part of it was a couple of my best friends, Dan and John, that were amazingly supportive during difficult times in my life.
My parents, who have both passed away now.
Some of it's been you, Thomas Soule.
Let me ask you this question.
Soule, that's fabulous.
That could be all that anyone would need if they could read Thomas Soul.
You say this happened 10 years ago?
Yes, sir.
Could you compare the past 10 years with your life prior to this epiphany?
Just in terms of your outlook, your contentment, your happiness, all these things that all human beings want in life.
I'm glad you asked that question.
My life is so much more joyful now.
It doesn't matter where I'm at in my life.
I'm a happy guy.
I don't look to other people or situations to make me happy.
All of my choices make me happy.
I don't confuse a difficult choice or an undesired choice with no choice at all.
I always have a choice.
And as long as I live in this nation and I have freedom to make that choice, my life can be absolutely spectacular.
And it is.
I mean, just recently, I moved back to Arizona and I am part of a startup company.
I have a terrific boss that I just absolutely think is amazing.
I work with some incredible people.
And it's a small business that's, you know, just startup, just as a startup this year.
And I have great hopes for it.
But I'm not attached to the outcome because I realize that I keep making choices.
So if one choice doesn't work, I go to another choice and I accept all of my choices.
Excellent.
Excellent.
Because what you're basically saying is opportunities are endless, and it's up to you to exercise.
The access to those opportunities.
Equality is opportunity.
Equality isn't me earning the same amount as you, Rush, or anybody else.
Equality is the opportunity.
And I went for that opportunity.
I went to college when I didn't think I was going to.
I started very late in my 30s.
I went for scholarships.
I went for loans.
I pay my loans back.
I took responsibility.
Yeah, but before the epiphany happened, were you envious of people?
They got to you with the class envy.
I mean, you would be happy if people you thought who had more than you somehow got hurt or harmed by a government policy?
Absolutely.
Because what I did was I was living in an idea of shared suffering, that if I suffered, you have to suffer as well.
And if you're one of those rich people that you got it all and I don't have it, somehow I want to make sure you're suffering so that you can endure the victimization and suffering that I'm doing.
I don't live in that anymore.
And it's obviously sick behavior.
Well, congratulations.
I'm glad you answered these questions, honestly.
I'll tell you something, Greg.
Earlier this week or late last week, there was another, and these are pretty common, surveys on happiness in America.
And they found even now, I mean, with the status of the campaign, that quote Republicans, conservatives, whatever you want to call them, twice as happy, if not more, than liberal Democrats are happy.
And this is borne out by anecdotal evidence.
And when I run around and just see people, I mean, you can tell who's angry and enraged all the time and people who are happy and having a great time and are optimistic about things, even during times like this.
I mean, this is not an ideal time for Republicans to be happy, but overall, their outlook on life is far more positive, particularly conservative Republicans than people on the left.
And it's totally understandable to me why, psychologically.
And you just explained it as well as I've ever heard it.
And I'm glad you called.
That was Greg in Scottsdale out of Frederictown, Missouri, which is right up the road from where I grew up in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Chuck, hello, and welcome to Open Line Friday.
Hey, Rush, thanks for taking my call.
Yes, sir.
First of all, I want to say that my wife and I were very privileged.
About two months ago, we got to meet your uncle, the Honorable Judge Limbaugh.
We were actually, my wife was a great idea.
What were you charged with?
That's great.
My wife and I are wedding videographers here in Southeast Missouri, but we do a lot of our work in the St. Louis area.
And he was actually officiating a ceremony there, and we got to spend about 30 minutes with him between this ceremony and the reception and really got to hear some great stories.
I won't go into detail on that, but the reason of my call is yesterday morning we attended a Sarah Palin rally in Cape Girardeau, and it was awesome.
The people were excited.
Let me tell people about this.
It was at the Show Me Center.
It's the university basketball arena, and they use it for other purposes there.
7,000 people.
They had to put 3,000 people more outside in satellite places.
And it was overflowing.
That's right.
It was awesome.
We were very fortunate.
A friend and I, my wife was with me.
She chose to sit down.
A friend and I got to stand right along the rail.
We were not 15 feet from Governor Palin when she spoke.
It was awesome.
She was on fire.
People were excited.
It was very invigorating.
We've been really down because of the polls.
I know we're in a very red state here, but there's still a chance.
I think people are so pessimistic.
Let me tell you, let me tell you.
I just saw a number.
Let me get the source for this.
It's politico.
Only 65%, the latest polling data, only 65% of blacks in Missouri say they are for Obama in the latest poll.
That's unheard of.
I mean, black vote for Obama is supposed to go 99% to 1%, 65% Missouri.
Again, everything's all over the place, but you nailed it.
They're trying to dispirit and disillusion you.
Stay motivated.
This is doable.
Hi, we are back, Rush Limbaugh, Open Line Friday.
Back to your phone calls here in just a moment.
First, I want to go back and repeat this sound, but I just had a thought.
After Charlie Rose and Tom Broca last night on Charlie Rose's show admitted they know nothing about Obama.
I don't know, but it's called Asigning a Reporter, you guys.
One of the things they said they didn't know was his position on China.
Well, last night, he actually said something about China on television.
Obama did.
Here it is.
I've actually talked about this.
I think we have to rebuild our infrastructure.
Look at what China's doing right now.
Their trains are faster than us.
Their ports are better than us.
They are preparing for a very competitive 21st century economy.
And we're not.
We are.
We always do.
We lead the world in these things, you squirrel.
But, you know, China's better than us, and there's better than us in this, and they're better than us.
You people, you people, and you know who you are, who are going to vote for Obama.
You who are worried about having your jobs outsourced.
One of the places jobs in America have been outsourced is to China.
What business wouldn't move to China from America after hearing Obama talk about how bad our infrastructure is?
This guy's going to drive business out of this country faster than anybody else ever has.
He's going to raise capital gains taxes.
He's going to, you know what else he's going to do?
Look at this story.
This is in the Wall Street Journal today.
And we talked about the first issue of this, the first episode when this happens, about Vallejo, California, and how they offered policemen and firemen a whole bunch of money that the city could not afford.
This was six months ago.
They were having trouble.
What are they going to do?
Because they had contracts.
They were thinking of losing the pensions that these people had.
They couldn't fund them.
Here's an update.
When the economic crisis deepened this fall, this city of Vallejo, California already was losing scores of police and firefighters because it could no longer afford the rich salaries and benefit that they offered these people after the 9-11 attacks.
Now, with crime on the rise, tax revenues sinking, Vallejo faces more cuts in police and fire department budgets.
I think this kind of thing could happen all over this country as Obama raises people's taxes, federal taxes.
They are going to be hard pressed to generate any economic improvement because people will have less disposable income.
We already know that California is asking for a bailout.
We know that the governor of New York is asking for a bailout.
You're going to see a lot of local municipalities have to cut cops and firemen once Obama starts raising taxes on everybody.
This, what's happening in Vallejo, could be a precursor to what might happen if Obama does indeed pull this out.
Back to the phones.
This is Lynn in Del Rio, Texas.
I'm glad you waited.
Great to have you on the program.
Thank you, sir.
It's a privilege.
I'll try and be brief because I know there are a lot of great people that are trying to get through.
My question for you is, why don't these Obama supporters hear what's really being said to them?
What they're being told by Obama, by the Democrats, is that they're too ignorant and that they're incapable of succeeding on their own.
They're telling them that they're so weak that they need the government to carry them.
Why?
Because they already think that about themselves.
I'm serious.
I'm not trying to be funny, even though people, I'm sure, are laughing with mirth across the fruited plain.
This has been the message of the Democrat Party for 30 years or more, that you are incompetent, that you're incapable of making life's decisions.
We need to do it for you.
And these rich people and people who have more than you, they're screwing you even further.
We're going to get even with them.
Fawada Jami, Wall Street Journal, had a great piece yesterday about the crowd.
And his take is that when the crowd gathers for Obama, they're not listening to anything.
They are there because of the way they feel.
The group, the large crowd, they feel like everybody's equal for that moment.
And it is what they desire and have desired all their lives.
Equality.
Everybody the same.
Nobody better.
Nobody worse than anybody else.
They're not listening to Obama speak.
They're feeling it.
This is why I do not like people who don't think.
I have no tolerance.
Little, because I got to include kids in this.
But I mean, adults, I have so little tolerance of people that do nothing but feel.
I really have little patience with them because I don't know how to relate to them.
I don't understand why these people.
I hear what you're saying.
And I know that's what the Democrats have told them forever.
And I understand that they're going to sit down and they're going to swallow it politely because they think in the end it's going to benefit them.
Right now they see no service higher than themselves.
As a military wife, we don't make very much.
My father did not make very much, but he put himself through college.
He put through all three of us children, my brothers and I included, through college.
And my husband and I, with him, decided to serve something higher than ourselves.
We weren't going to let anybody tell us to sit back and take the easy road.
But until I'm sure you're right, until these people can see something, service, and I know Obama keeps preaching about, oh yeah, my brother's keeper, which is laughable.
Well, it is because his own brother lives in a hut and his aunt lives in a slum.
Yeah, I was listening to you talk about that yesterday.
I got to kick out of that.
It's not funny.
I mean, it sounds funny.
It is slum, sweet slum.
She's been living there for five years, and they say she's a model citizen.
Well, big whoop.
Obama, his brother's keeper, his sister's keeper, lives in a slum in Boston for five years.
His brother lives in a hut.
And you think people aren't listening to him?
Let me ask you this.
If you still are having trouble understanding it, let me ask you this.
You have seen the Obama campaign and the drive-by media try to destroy a private citizen named Joe Wurzelbacher.
Yes, sir.
Joe the Plumber.
Now, Joe the Plumber is an average citizen.
He can't harm anybody.
He can't raise anybody's taxes.
He can't start the draft and send your kids off to war.
He can't start a war.
They set out to destroy.
They used government computers.
Now, Joe Wurzelbacher has tax liens.
He's not wealthy by any stretch.
He's one of those people in terms of economic makeup that are showing up at Obama rallies.
Why are people not mad at what happened to Joe Wurzelbacher on Obama's side?
Now, on our side, people are livid about what's being done to Sarah Palin and Joe Wurzelbacher.
Why are these people, you're expecting too much of them if you think them capable of listening to Obama, insult them, and understand that that's what's happening.
I hear you talk about highly educated people being the ones that are the most hypnotized, which is true.
Let me tell you, my husband and I, we've lost friends over this election because we've had friends that we thought their ideals were in line with ours.
No, that's not what happened.
That's not what happened.
You lost people you thought were your friends.
They never really were if that's what's happened here.
This is, they never really were your friends.
That's absurd to lose.
Has anybody tried counting down backwards from 10 and snapping their fingers and seeing if anybody will come out of this?
I mean, that's kind of how that's how we've seen it.
And I understand what you're saying.
You're talking about how they weren't really in line with us, but it's been very, very hard.
And it's scary for us as a military family to think what's going to happen to us when he dismantles the United States.
Yeah, well, there's one thing you can do with all this, and that's make sure you and as many other people as you can find vote.
That's all that comes down to now is voting.
Very simple.
This is a turnout election.
It ain't over.
As I said, my gut's talking to me.
This is doable.
I sense, can't tell you specific, I sense things happening that are making the Obama team uncomfortable and the drive-bys uncomfortable.
I want to go back.
We really can't play Reverend Wright enough, can we?
Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people.
Hillary ain't never been called a nigger.
Bill did us just like he did Monica Lewinsky.
He was riding dirty in white America, US of KKKA.
Black men turning on black men.
I am sick of Negroes who just do not get it.
Now, God bless America.
God damn America that's in the Bible for killing innocent people.
God damn America.
And now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front.
Yaga!
America's chickens are coming home to roost.
That is the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Obama's pastor, the pastor Obama chose.
Now, Jeremiah Wright has been Obama's pastor for 20 years.
Why is 20 years in Wright's church important?
Well, let's look at me and you.
I have been syndicated for 20 years, nationally syndicated, available to every home in America for 20 years.
Think about that.
Every one of you in this audience who have been loyal, devoted listeners for 20 years, you've done so for a reason.
You liked what you heard.
You liked what I said.
You liked the way I said it.
You liked it so much, you kept coming back for more.
All you had to do was turn on the radio.
Okay, Barack Obama and his family attended Jeremiah Wright's Church of Black Liberation Theology, which is Afro-centric Marxism, for 20 years.
Now, think back 20 years.
All you had to do was turn on a radio.
Obama had a little bit more effort than that.
He had to get out of bed, you know, do the hygiene thing, get the kids ready when they came along and head off down the street to the church.
They had to get up, get dressed.
They had to drive to church.
You had to pick up the church newsletter to read later.
20 years.
Much like some of you have behaved over the years.
I've had the Rush to Excellence tours out there where you've had to do more than turn on the radio.
You've had to get your car, get dressed, pay a smidgen for a ticket, the profits go to charity.
You go out there and you listen to the Rush to Excellence tour or at public golf tournaments or whatever, Dan's big sale.
You made an effort to see, you made an effort to hear, and you made an effort in those places where I was to meet me.
And some of you have even ordered my newsletter, the Limbaugh Letter, the most widely read political newsletter in America, 800-457-4141 to order.
20 years is my point here.
20 years is a long time.
800-457-4141.
Dawn said I went to the number too quickly.
20 years is a long time.
20 years is a commitment.
It says a lot about the person whom you made an effort to see and hear.
A lot is learned in 20 years.
Much is said.
You who listen to me, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned, El Rushbo-Maha Rushi, you understand this.
You can relate.
But Barack Obama, who made an effort, who chose Reverend Wright, who made an effort to go to his church every Sunday for 20 years, I never heard him say all that stuff.
Once again, folks, common sense and reality somehow escape Obama, and he gets away with creating an illusion that people somehow swallow.
We'll be back after this.
Here is Barack Obama at the University of Missouri, Columbia last night.
30,000 mesmerized, mind-numbed robots in the audience.
ExxonMobil announced that it had made the greatest profits of any corporation in the history of the world.
$14 billion in one quarter.
That's all your money.
You were paying it at the gas station.
This is demagoguery, charismatic demagoguery.
They didn't steal anybody's money, Obama, like you may have done or participated in with Tony Rezco.
People purchased a product that ExxonMobil provided.
They paid more taxes than any corporation in American or world history, Obama.
And without their taxes, you wouldn't even have been able to dream about your redistributionist scheme.
They paid a record amount of taxes.
They didn't steal anybody's money.
Again, the Democrat Party and their enemies list, America's leading corporations, America's leading corporations for advancement, improvement of quality of life, and for hiring people.
You know, something that irritates me, we always hear about ExxonMobil profits.
Have you heard about Zycam profits?
Zycam is sponsored this for why can't we get reports on Zycam profits?
Zycom or Zycam is making huge profits.
Their profits are, I had a meeting with them last week.
The cold remedy punch, little swabs, swab the inside of your first moment that you think you're getting a cold, you will be amazed.
The great thing about selling Zycam for people to do is it works.
The best thing you can say about a product when you sell it to somebody, when you tell them about it, it works if you use it right.
The first instant you think you're coming down with a cold, chest cold, head cold, grab one of the swabs, inside of your nose, both nostrils, pinch for five seconds, don't blow, don't do anything else.
Do it every four hours and voila.
It may not stop it.
It does in my case a lot of times when it shortened the duration.
Zycam, Z-I-C-A-M.
And they too, they too are doing quite well.
Do you know what their word of mouth is?
They told me that they do surveys of people who've bought Zycam and do you recommend it?
92% of Zycam users recommend it to somebody else.
That kind of word of mouth, you can't purchase it.
Get so sick and tired of ExxonMobil's profits.
So are most of the people advertised on this program.
They never get ripped.
They're making a lot of profit.
We should rip them.
Or the other, the liberals ought to rip them.
Want to get noticed here?
Who's next?
Roger in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Hi, Roger.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Hi, Rush.
Pleasure to speak with you.
Thank you, Sat.
What I'm calling today about is the fact that I am afraid I am seeing a trend evolving that scares me to death because of its long-term implications.
And over the past few weeks, I've seen a private citizen in Ohio come under investigation by state workers.
I've seen a news station taken off the list for interviews because of the questions that was asking.
And now I've seen that three reporters from newspapers that endorsed McCain, thrown off the Obama campaign staff or plane.
And what concerns me is this indicates that there is a shift from intolerance of opposing viewpoints to an active effort to suppress those viewpoints.
There's a story today in the Hugo Chavez is doing the same thing to the media in Venezuela.
This is an authoritarian on the march.
And by the way, we mentioned this top of the program.
Roger is exactly right.
I don't think this is a change of temperament.
This is who Obama is.
Look at his friends.
Look at his alliances.
That's why they're important.
They shut up.
Look at Obama's electoral experience.
He gets rid of opponents before they can even oppose him in a race.
These people play for keeps.
This is authoritarianism.
Okay, so you got three newspapers, the New York Post, the Dallas Morning News, Washington Times kicked off the Obama campaign plane today because they've endorsed McCain.
Joe the Plumber, an average, ordinary, hardly wealthy guy, investigated by Democrats using Ohio state government computers.
And you're right about the anchor down of Florida.
Not only she's taken off the interview list, her husband was targeted for harassment because he's a Republican.
They're going to eventually come after anybody with power who opposes them if they have unfettered control of the government.
Open line Friday with a brief refresher respite, and we will be back and roll right on before you know it.
