Time Text
Hey folks, there are genuine fireworks in Waukesha, Wisconsin going on at the Sarah Palin Yosemite Sam rally.
The audience up there is just fired up like I haven't seen an audience in a town hall meeting fired up ever.
We have audio sound bites to illustrate this coming up.
Greetings and welcome back.
It's Rush Limbaugh here behind this, the golden EIB microphone at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Telephone number 800-282-2882 and the email address Lrushbo at EIBnet.com.
I got to tell you a funny story before we get to these audio soundbites.
Friend of mine going to a party tomorrow night has a girlfriend coming in from out of town.
She says, look, would you go buy my dress?
He told me this.
I said, are you serious?
She wants you to go buy the dress?
Yeah.
Are you going to do it?
Yeah, I'm going to do it tonight.
No, I cannot believe you're going to do that.
Yeah, I'm going to do it.
I said, okay, here's what you do.
You go out, you find the slinkiest little cocktail thing you can find, and you give it to her.
You say, this is all I had.
I'm swamped here.
I said, she's putting this in your hands.
This is your chance to dress her up the way you want.
And then show her for the rest of whatever relationship you got here.
But I mean, this is.
And then another woman overheard this conversation.
Oh, you will never do that.
You guys are just all talk.
You all talk and brag about what you're going to do with women and two women and four women.
It never happens.
I looked at him and I said, you wait.
I know this guy.
And furthermore, I told you tell her that you bought it on Worth Avenue and nothing is ever on sale on Worth Avenue.
Okay, you got to hear these bits, folks.
And by the way, another question I've got for you.
We're going to answer this as the program unfolds here.
You know, yesterday, James Carville referred, well, he had the audio yesterday.
It was the night after the debate.
He said, if Obama loses and he has a five-point lead going into the election and he loses, he said, it's going to be very traumatic out there.
Traumatic times.
Traumatic times.
Meaning riots.
I got to thinking, when do we get to riot?
When do we get to riot?
I will answer that.
But here are the audio sound bites.
Let's replay this one.
This is an audience member telling McCain that he's mad and saying to McCain, you have got to go get them.
You two are representing us.
Go get them.
Listen to this.
I'm mad.
I'm really mad.
And what's going to surprise you, it's not the economy.
It's the socialists taking over our country.
I think it's so important in today's country what we're really missing and what's going on.
When you have an Obama, Pelosi, and the rest of the hooligans up there going to run this country, we got to have our head examined.
It's time that you two are representing us and we are mad.
So go get them.
Rado.
Rado.
I mean, this is some of the fireworks.
This thing's been going on for an hour and a half now, and it shows no signs of ending.
Now, as I said yesterday, we're going to have to drag Yosemite Sam over the finish line here.
And today, here's a questioner who wants names.
And Yosemite Sam finally came up with a couple.
Someone here keeps yelling, Acorn, Acorn.
Let me just say to you, there are serious allegations of voter fraud in the battleground states across America.
They must be investigated.
And no one should corrupt the most precious right we have, and that is the right to vote.
My friends, you've seen, you've seen the allegations, the multiple registrations under the same name, the more registered voters than the population.
You've seen these are serious allegations, my friends, and they must be investigated, and they must be investigated immediately, and they must be stopped before November the 4th, so Americans will not be deprived of a fair process in this election.
That was my fault.
I introduced the wrong bite.
That's McCain talking about Acorn.
And he wasn't talking about Acorn until recently.
So this is what we're going to have to do.
We're going to keep getting this stuff.
We will drag him over the finish line.
Now, here's the bite where a questioner wants names, and Yosemite Sam fires back with a couple.
I'm a realtor witnessing firsthand the effect the mortgage crisis has had on many people's lives.
Will you assure us that as president, you will take immediate action to investigate, prosecute, and name the names of the people actually responsible?
I will.
And it is already a matter of record that Democrat members of Congress fought against reform, and it's a matter of record and hearings that they said everything was fine.
Senator Obama a year ago said these kinds of subprime loans are, quote, fine with him.
And the fact is that the same people that are now claiming credit for this rescue are the same ones that were willing co-conspirators in causing this problem that it is.
And you know their names and you will know more of their names.
Congressman Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd are two of them.
Oh man, I wish we could have heard that applause go.
We're standing up here.
We are standing up.
We can't believe it.
This is exactly what we have been hoping for and asking to see for this whole campaign.
And it was a realtor in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with the question, will you prosecute and name the names of the people actually responsible?
I realize, ladies and gentlemen, some of you may not believe what you just heard.
So, we're going to replay this very same bite for you right now.
As someone who believes that the most promising and precious ingredient...
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
We are going to replay audio soundbite number 34.
In three, two, one.
I can't remember the last time I heard him mention names like this.
This is the first time I have heard him talking about Democrats where he's not bragging about having walked across the aisle and worked with them.
Senator McCain on fire today in Walkershaw, Wisconsin, because the audience is on fire.
This audience, folks, you've got to be so up.
You have to understand this is Wisconsin.
This is you.
These people and their passion and their emotion and their questions and their frustration, that's all of us.
And the candidates are seeing it.
They are in the middle of it.
I only hope that this holds.
I hope that Senator McCain later today does not denounce himself for engaging in partisan attacks.
Well, when it's the first time that it's happened, and you even listen to it twice because you're not sure you heard it right the first time, let's just hope he doesn't denounce himself because the media is going to pounce on this.
You know the media, because he's me, he's calling them out.
Now he's calling names.
He mentioned names Dodd and Franklin, and he's promising to investigate and prosecute.
He said it.
I think we should hear it again in case he does denounce himself.
I want to remember this moment.
I'm a realtor witnessing firsthand the effect the mortgage crisis has had on many people's lives.
Will you assure us that as president, you will take immediate action to investigate, prosecute, and name the names of the people actually responsible.
I will.
And it is already a matter of record that Democrat members of Congress fought against reform, and it's a matter of record in hearings that they said everything was fine.
Now this he's known this all along.
He didn't have to learn this.
He knows.
He knows exactly who's culpable here.
Up till now he has been unwilling to say so.
Today he did.
Now we just have to hope that he doesn't denounce himself.
We have to hope that the McCain campaign does not issue the following statement.
My campaign wants nothing to do with the kind of attacks that I made on Democrats this afternoon.
We've said this is not the kind campaign we want to run and we mean it.
So we denounce ourselves.
Even if they denounce themselves, I hope he keeps this up.
He was on fire and it's the crowd firing up, but the great thing he knows.
You know, it's actually one of the things comforting about this to me is that I've been, does he really know?
I've been asking myself, does he actually see it the way we do?
And he obviously does.
He obviously does.
One more audience member asks Governor Palin about abortion.
As someone who believes that the most promising and precious ingredient in this sometimes mixed up world of ours is a child.
And I appreciate your reminder of the compassion needed in this issue.
What I don't find compassionate is Barack Obama's vote as an Illinois senator when three times he had the chance to vote to be able to provide health care for a child who was born alive as a result of a botched abortion.
I would just ask you, sir, to go online and look at his record on that one also.
Thank you for the question.
She brought up his vote for infanticide.
So Tom Brokoff from Jurassic Park tried to keep immigration, gun control, abortion, and there was one other issue totally out of the debate.
These people are getting it back in the debate, back in the campaign.
Folks, I'm going to tell you something.
I am jazzed.
This can be kept up.
This can continue.
They are seeing firsthand the frustration and the passion of their voters.
Palin's been seeing it all along.
McCain's crossed a threshold here.
If this works, if McCain wins this, you think the drive-bys are going to be insufferable the next 26 days.
You wait.
If McCain wins this, the week following the election is going to be one of the most enjoyable things they are going to implode.
They're going to crack up.
All right, I got to take the time out here.
We'll do it.
We'll be back.
We'll continue right after this.
Hey, Mike, I want you to save these four audio sound lights, 32 through 35, for future use, if you will.
But I just got an email here from Mark Larrichutia.
Mark Larichuta, I think it is.
Dear Rush, something is wrong with your microphone today.
Your voice sounds exactly like Senator McCain at times.
Better get that microphone checked out.
Cincinnati, Ohio.
This is obviously a reference to Senator McCain getting all fired up in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
It's right outside Milwaukee, by the way.
Here is Marilyn in Dallas.
Marilyn, great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Oh, hi, Rush.
So good to talk to you.
I have a quick tip for your friend who's buying the dress.
Yeah.
Buy one size smaller than you think she is.
You know, it's a good point.
You're not even thinking to ask about that.
That's a good point.
Why, though?
Now, wait a minute.
Oh, honey, you look like you were two.
I thought you were a size two.
Yeah, but what if it doesn't fit?
Oh, she's got a little black dress stuck in her purse somewhere.
Oh, is that right?
She's got a lot of dress.
I guarantee you.
Anyway, I'm calling because in the debate, I got so upset when McCain mentioned this rescue plan.
I thought, oh, my gosh, he's buying this whole socialist thing.
But I did go online and study it, and I was really pleased because what happened, he's offering, he's problem-solving here.
He's trying to pick out any good loans that ended up in this trashy mess.
He's saying give top priority money to someone who meets three conditions.
They have to be living in the home at the time.
They're the primary owner.
And they have to have had the original paperwork not falsified.
And they have to have at some point put some money down.
And they just got caught in all this mess and now have an upside-down loan.
And I'm telling you, from someone who has just, we went through an abandoned home on our block.
It's a very nice neighborhood.
But the abandoned home for three years reduced the value of everyone on that block by 20 years.
Absolutely right.
And plus that, the Trick-or-Treaters had one less house to visit.
Imagine Trick-or-Treating in a foreclosed neighborhood tonight.
How sad for the children?
Well, yes.
And Halloween's coming.
But if we can keep people in their home, it's going to benefit everybody.
And I think this is a good plan.
I just wish it does seem that he should be a better salesman.
He's not a very good salesman.
You know, it's like everybody else.
I've learned something today about Senator McCain.
We never see him passionate about things.
That's true.
And I think it's because he believes that, you know, who's he appealing?
He's appealing moderates.
You know, he doesn't want to get partisan because he thinks it'll offend him.
But passion is what makes everybody able to sell themselves or whatever it is they're talking about.
Passion, you know, people used to ask me what, you know, back when Early, early alone, back in Sacramento.
What makes a great phone call?
Somebody agrees with you?
No, a caller with passion.
Somebody with passion.
Passions, our passions define us.
And we have had trouble finding Senator McCain's passion.
Yeah, well, he's a senator.
And besides, when he keeps saying I'm going to freeze a program, he's got to explain that.
People think he's shutting down a program.
You know, he's got to say, I don't want to increase the program.
You can still have your program.
You know, I got to.
That's his problem.
Marilyn, I saw something on TV mere moments ago, one of these graphic crawls at the bottom.
And it was Fox, and it said, political experts say voters want solutions, not attacks.
Every year, they try to, every year, once when the Republican campaign finally kicks in and gets in gear, all of a sudden the experts pop, oh, no, no, no, you don't want to do this.
You don't want to do it.
We want solutions.
Well, McCain's offering a solution here on this mortgage business, and Obama's out there tearing it to shreds, by the way, as predicted.
But you know whose plan this was?
No.
Hillary's.
Really?
Yep.
I hate to tell you this, but this plan, at least according to Charlie Black, this is a New York Times on when was the debate?
Monday, Tuesday night or what?
Tuesday.
Okay, this is Wednesday morning's New York Times.
Yeah, yesterday.
Charlie Black, a big fundraiser for McCain, said, we actually got the idea from Hillary Clinton's proposal way back when, on something, rather, it's not totally hers, but that's where it comes from.
But look, somebody has to do something about this.
You really have nailed something here.
There are a lot of people who did everything according to the standards and the rules that the whole country, the whole concept of the American dream was established.
They worked hard.
They didn't get into a house till they could actually afford it.
They made the mortgage payments.
And they're down to tubes with their house values because of this shenanigans and this corruption, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
And they are being hurt.
That's right.
And they didn't do anything wrong.
And who are we bailing out?
Who are we bailing out?
Well, let's try to get the good ones first.
Well, it's a tricky thing.
Once you let the government in to do this instead of the market, this is the.
But they're already in.
I mean, they already have permission to do it.
Now, who's going to do it?
But Obama or McCain?
I think he should sell himself as a.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
We don't want to accept they're already in it.
We want to get them out of it.
At some point, look, we got a lot of work to do here.
There's the government.
Well, I'm out of time.
You know what I was going to say?
The government is way too tentacled and way too much.
Right.
Okay, back to the phones we go here at the EIB Network San Diego.
This is Greg.
Nice to have you, sir.
Oh, Rush.
What a thrill to talk to you.
Appreciate it.
I have a theory and I want to get your opinion on it.
I don't think Barack Obama really wants to be president.
Perhaps he doesn't think he has got the mental fortitude for it.
My evidence is this is picking up Joe Biden as his running mate.
Because if you think about it, Joe Biden brought absolutely nothing to the ticket.
He's got 9,000 votes in the presidency at one time.
He has absolutely nothing to bring to the ticket.
I disagree profoundly.
Joe Biden brought humor, comedy, gaffes, statesmanship, the media says.
Do you think he brought gravity toss?
No, but he was the original plan.
The only reason Biden is there is to shore up Obama's supposed weakness on foreign policy, whatever the hell.
I disagree.
I think you would have been right if you would have said that a year and a half ago when Obama got into this, he really didn't expect to win this year.
This was just to set the table for later.
I think he got pretty surprised along the line when he thought he could.
Now, I think he wants it as badly as anybody has ever wanted it.
Want to try to expand it real quick?
I want to see if this lady in front of me with her Obama sticker is listening to you.
I'm driving down the road.
If I tell you the road in her car, let's see if I can, she's listening to you and see if she waves to me.
How are you going to find out?
Well, I'll just describe her car.
I'm driving down Rancho Santa Fe Road in Cinitas, and she's driving this maroon, brand new Chevy.
She must be listening to you.
She has driving a brand new Chevy, Malibu.
She's driving a maroon Chevy's got an Obama sticker on the back.
Yeah, and she's also got some other leftist nutcase that's running for Congress here.
I forgot his name, Lieberman or something like that.
Let's see if she waves to me.
No, she's not waving.
Sorry.
She's not listening to you.
Oh, wait a minute.
She is.
She's waving to you now.
She is.
Really?
Oh, my God.
That is funny.
Are you behind her?
Wait, Rush.
Are you behind?
Wait a second.
Are you behind her, giving her an anime with your front end, or are you beside her?
No, I just pulled in front of her, and she can now see my bumper sticker that is a round red circle that is last through it that says B.O.
It's like no B.O., Barack Obama.
And she's looking at it.
She's waving.
Rush, she's listening to you.
That is too funny.
So we got an Obama listener driving around in a red Chevy Malibu.
She probably bought it because you told her.
At least it's not a Prius.
At least it's not some hybrid.
So she can't be that committed to Obama.
Let me ask you.
She's certainly committed to her bumper sticker.
Is she smiling?
I can't tell.
She's got these giant glasses on.
She's kind of old and got a sour pussy look on her face.
Didn't look real happy.
She did wave twice.
That is so funny.
Now, wait a second.
Did you wave at her first, or did you try to get her to wave simply because of what you said here on the radio?
No, I tried to get her to wave.
She can't see me.
My windows are so tinted.
There's no way she can see you.
There's no way she can see you.
So you don't know if she's waving at you like with one finger.
No, no, I can see her perfectly.
Okay.
She just turned.
Yeah, she waved twice.
She waved twice.
But how do you know she looks like a sour puss?
Because I saw her right when she was next to me.
All right.
Well, this is interesting.
They stick out like a sore thumb, okay?
Fascinating.
Well, all right, look, I appreciate this, Greg.
Thanks much.
Here's an example of safe driving on the highways in San Diego.
New ways to pick up women on the road.
Exactly right.
That is an interesting technique that this guy tried.
And we have no way of verifying if it really happened.
That's the only problem.
And I'm not calling the guy a liar, but just anybody can call here and say anything.
Ellen in Rocky River, Ohio.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
How are you?
Thanks for taking my call.
Listen, I wanted to let you know that a friend of mine, my son and his girlfriend, went to the McCain-Palin rally last evening in Strongsville.
There were probably minimally 15,000 people, far more attendees than could be admitted to the rec center.
So the majority of us stood outside and waited for four hours in line.
There was no vitriol being spewed.
There were some political conversations, you know, that you would expect with like-minded people.
But it was a very orderly, very peaceful group of people just wanting to hear what Senator McCain and Governor Palin had to say.
All right, I want you to listen to this montage.
Because, folks, if you're just tuning in, what got all this started, people have been at McCain Palin rallies calling to defend the comportment and behavior of the people attending these rallies.
The media is out there saying that the attendees at McCain Palin rallies are saying, off with his head, that they're threatening the media, that they're saying horrible things about Obama and so forth.
And a sorriest excuse for a journalist ever, Mary Mitchell, Chicago Sun-Times, said that Obama should be censured because he's turning his crowd against the royalty of the media.
So I want you to listen to this.
It's a montage.
We've got Andrea Mitchell, NBC Names, Washington, John Roberts, CNN, David Robin Gergen, CNN, Chris Matthews, Alex Witt, Ann Kornbutt, Blutt, Washington Post, David Wright ABC, and Katrina Van den Hoovel, Hurricane Katrina van den Hoovel from the nation.
They're all talking about this.
This is why callers are responding to this.
McCain crowds have been increasingly rowdy.
Someone shouted off of his head about Obama.
She's inciting people to anger at these campaign events, these crowds, and these ugly scenes that have occurred in these rallies.
But P.L. to the nuts, when you hear people yell, kill him, terrorist, yelling out from the crowd.
People gathered there shouting out comments about Barack Obama, like kill him, terrorist, treason.
It's kind of incited these crowds.
And I think that does get into dangerous territory.
A faux bore attack on Obama's character, suggesting he's yellow, disloyal, and doesn't belong.
Inciting hatred, division, fear.
They're now heckling the media.
Okay, so you saw none of this where you were.
None of it.
And if I can tell you one quick story, because I know your time is limited, but as we were all waiting in line and slowly moving ahead, because as a previous caller described, the lines, you know, twirled around numerous buildings, there was a gentleman whom I knew had to be from the media, although I didn't recognize him.
He had a microphone in his hand, and right next to him was someone with a camera.
So as I'm passing him, I said, make sure that you report the attendees accurately.
I didn't really think he'd respond, but indeed he did.
And I think he was kind of taken aback that somebody might challenge his journalistic integrity.
And he asked why I would suggest that he wouldn't do that.
And I said, well, it's really quite obvious.
You rarely report, you know, the Republican attendees very accurately.
And then with that, of course, he tried to engage me.
And, of course, I was a willing participant in why I would choose to vote for McCain as opposed to Obama because Obama was better on the economy.
And I stopped him dead in his tracks and reminded him that really was a specious argument.
Wait a second.
Did he have lost you here?
He asked you a question, who you're going to vote for, McCain or Obama, because why would you vote for McCain?
Because Obama's so much better on the economy.
The reporters said that to you?
Yes, he did.
He was from the BBC.
That's why I didn't recognize him.
And he was trying to lead me in that direction.
And I quickly, you know, reminded him that I believed his argument, and my daughter would love this expression.
The argument was a canard.
Clearly, I don't believe Obama is better on anything, much less the economy.
But he persisted, and I said to him, number one, I reject your argument out of hand that Obama would be better for the economy.
He's an anti-capitalist, he's anti-business, he's anti-everything I hold dear.
But even if you were right, and I don't expect that you are, what good is a sound economy if we're not kept safe?
That seemed to surprise him.
So he said, you really think so you think McCain would keep you safe?
I said, indeed, I do.
He said, so you think that being kept safe is more important than a sound economy.
So I had to remind him that clearly a sound economy is of no value if you have terrorists at your doorstep.
So actually it was kind of an interesting, it was an interesting exchange.
Hey, let me tell you what's going to happen to that exchange because when I was much younger in this business and thought that when journalists asked me a question they really wanted my answer, it took me a long time to learn they don't care what you say.
It is their question and how they can then cut up what you say.
The whole point of that interview was to portray you as a typical McCain Palin nut and kook.
And they were going to take that interview and splice you with one or two words, maybe a sentence, with others that he had talked to to do a cross-reference of people who are so out of touch and so dangerous.
I guarantee you that's what that was.
Well, you know, you're not going to be able to do that.
That's why you cannot accept the premise.
You started out with this exactly right.
It was very, you don't accept the premise.
Well, I agree with you.
That's probably what he was going to do or has done.
But as you've said for so long, those of us in Middle America are so outraged by what the media says, does, doesn't say, and doesn't do that when you have an opportunity, regardless of what he's going to do with the interview, albeit short as it was, I needed him, even if it's one person, I needed him to know that I know what he does.
And I felt better about that.
Well, that's good.
That is excellent.
But if, and there are very, very few exceptions to this, trust me, don't you will never, don't ever waste time actually debating a journalist.
You will never change their mind.
They'll make you think they're engaging you and debating you.
They're not.
They have an agenda, they have a narrative, and they have a template.
And you're either going to fit into it or you're not.
Well, and I expect that that's very true, particularly from the BBC.
I mean, from all of them.
Yeah, but particularly from the BBC.
But I would agree with you.
I didn't see any of the national media.
Our local affiliates were all there.
But there was nobody, at least I didn't see anyone, but then we did not get into the rec center.
But McCain and Palin did invite two of the Cleveland Browns.
I heard about that.
Brady Quinn and Joe Thomas.
Joe Thomas, yeah.
And I think he mentioned Shaquille O'Neill today, I think, in this rally, too, as well as the two Cleveland Browns players as having endorsed him.
Well, it was a wonderful rally.
I'm sure it was Shaquille O'Neill.
I'm not sure it was.
I thought he did.
But anyway.
Well, it was a wonderful rally, and it was worth standing in line for four hours.
And people are doing this all over because they're standing out in the rain in Pensacola, Florida, for an hour to get into these things.
I mean, there's genuine excitement at these McCain-Palin rallies.
And the Obama rallies are not, they don't have this kind of excitement.
Drive-bys know it too.
They sense this.
Look, I'm glad you called.
Ellen, I got a brief time out here.
We must take, we'll be right back to Orlando, Florida.
And Keith, it's your turn, sir, here on the EIB network.
Hey, Rush, how are you doing?
Hey, listen, man, I'd called you before and told you that, you know, basically, I was just telling the guy that answered the phone basically that I was being a Democrat for 30 years.
And, of course, my daughter registered as a Democrat for whatever reason.
We're very conservative people.
It's just a title on the card.
But the reality is that my daughter gets all this crap from Obama's camp.
My wife and I don't get it because you can't fool an older person that's been around the block a couple times, and Lord knows I've been around it.
But you can certainly fool these stupid kids, and that's what they are.
You know, my father used to say, when you get out of college, you'll get your education, which is very true.
Yes.
And I've got to tell you, I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore.
Okay?
Because the DNC sent me something that had these two stupid stickers that one said, tell me how many homes I own, or ask me how many homes I own.
The other one said, no third term vote Obama, you know, trying to convince people that, you know, what they, what the media is telling us is true is not.
And I called the DNC and told them that basically, you know, you people are cramming this dude down our throats and we're not taking it.
And I'm not taking it.
I'm not voting for the guy.
I said, you need to start really listening to what he says.
He said, well, we are listening.
I said, no, you're not.
You're listening to what the media is telling you to believe.
I said, the guy is associated deeper than deeper and deeper with this guy, William Harris.
And you're going to ever live to believe.
I said, he's going to get in office and you're going to find out that he's going to remove a lot of your rights.
And not only that, I said, you're going to see, and I'm not encouraging it.
I'm hoping, like the world, you have no idea that it doesn't happen.
I said, but you're going to see the biggest rise in the KKK and these crazy white supremacist groups in history because people are going to get out of control and that something's got to be in there to constitute the balance.
I'm just sick of it.
Why do you stay a Democrat?
Oh, you know why?
Because when I decided to leave the party, it was kind of too late, and I didn't want to have them screw around with me and not being able to vote to vote against this idiot.
So after the election, I'm leaving the party because actually, the party's really left us.
And what really shocks my rear end is that these people keep comparing him to JFK.
JFK was a conservative Democrat.
He was a responsible Democrat that wouldn't do the craziness that they're doing today.
But the idiots in that family, the Kennedy family, actually have the audacity to even compare these two, which one is so far left he's falling off the bank.
Well, so you're getting caught up in a problem here a lot of Democrats have.
You expect truth from these people.
If you didn't, it's like J.R. Ewing once said, once you get past the ethics and honesty, the rest is easy.
And you haven't made that jump yet.
Thanks for the call.
I want to get one more in here before we have to go.
Jim in Sugar Creek, Ohio.
I have a minute, but I know you can squeeze it in.
Hi, Rush.
Megadittos from Sugar Creek, Ohio.
Thank you.
One of the things that scares the heck out of me is what's going on in Missouri.
It just scares me that they want to take away free speech.
And I wanted to ask you what you thought about going and broadcasting in Missouri.
It would show them that, well, in other words, it would cause them to show their hand.
If they would try to arrest you, it would make a national issue out of what they really intend to be and show their hand.
Well, here's if they don't arrest you.
Here's what cowards they are.
Here's what's happened with that.
What he's talking about is the sheriff and a couple prosecutors in St. Louis, county and city, have claimed they're going to hold anybody accountable who lies about Obama.
Now, they're prosecutors.
So people assume, oh, my gosh, they're going to prosecute people for this.
Nobody ever talked about prosecuting anybody.
We're just going to run counter ads if people lie on television.
So that's the story now.
I thought about going into calling Campbell X. Can I come in there for a day and tell the truth about Obama, maybe get arrested?
But then they changed their story and they said it's not about prosecutions.
So put up, put up, put up.
Got to go, folks.
Be back in just a second.
Some of you are very upset that I didn't correct the previous caller, a Democrat saying that the KKK will rise up if Obama's elected.
We had to balance Carville saying there will be riots.
So we balanced that out now.
We're square.
