Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
This is pathetic.
It is just laughably unbelievable.
Even in the elevator at the EIB building in Midtown Manhattan this morning, they got these little news TV screens in the elevators in Coco, the webmaster got into work today driving the elevator up to the uh proper floor of the EIB building, and they've got this thing from CNN that says I have called off Operation Chaos.
And the Washington Post today says I've called off Operation Chaos.
And the Boston Globe today says I've called off Operation Chaos.
I did no such thing.
And they said I've also now shifted my preference for the Democrat Party nomination to Barack Obama.
You know, this is if we ever needed it.
I mean, and then we don't, but if we ever needed it, this is one of the greatest illustrations that they have an agenda and they're going to write whatever they want.
They're not going to pay attention to the facts.
They're not going to listen to what anybody says.
They're going to take little snippets, and if it fits the agenda and the action line, and they're going to plug it in there.
Greetings, my friends, and welcome, Rush Limbaugh here, the E. I mean, how can Operation Chaos be dead?
We've got many phases to go.
One phase of the future phase of Operation Chaos, uh, and I'm contemplating this.
It's not etched in stone, but uh one of the things I'm contemplating for a new phase of Operation Chaos is to try to convince Republicans to cross over and vote for Senator McCain in uh in November.
Now that may be, you know, that's going to be something that may be even tough for me as Commander in Chief of Operation Chaos to uh to pull off.
By the way, I think I ought to change the pronunciation of uh Operation Chaos in honor of uh the story that Develt did in Germany yesterday.
The German pronunciation.
I looked it up.
I talked to experts.
The German pronunciation, Operation Chaos is Operation Chaos.
Operation Chaos.
We just owe them that since they since they did their little story.
Anyway, here's the phone number if you want to be on the program 800-282-2882.
The email address is L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
Mrs. Clinton and her forces have relaunched the uncivil war in the Democrat Party.
Mrs. Clinton telling USA Today today that she is the only one that can get white votes.
She's pretty blatant about this.
Of course, we had the audio sound bites yesterday from Bagala talking to Donna Brazil, Bigallo the Forehead, who is white, and Donna Brazil who's black.
So we can't win with uh with uh with eggheads and uh and black voters, African Americans.
We just can't she took great offense to this, and we played that uh that that little exchange which was uh doozy in the last hour.
Cookie, you might want to get that exchange back so that we can revisit that today since Mrs. Clinton has restarted the uncivil war in the Democrat Party.
I appeared this morning with Bill Hemmer on the Fox News Channel's America's newsroom, and about four or five minutes.
They had a field trip in there.
They had a bunch of little crumb crunchers that they were showing the studio, and they were all on camera.
Must look like look like an ant farm in there.
Look like it must have been twenty of them in there, and I got to follow that.
You know, I mean it's like following cute little animals instead of kids and animals.
I mean, you don't want to follow it.
It was a it was a daunting challenge, ladies and gentlemen, that they presented me today.
And I I came through.
I want you to hear it.
Uh oh, by the way, before I get to that, uh Cookie sent me a note today.
You know, she prepares all these audio sound bites.
And she said, Rush, I'm I'm I'm I mean, it's your show, and you can do what you want, but I'm going through a lot of work to find these sound bites, and I can't help it that they're all about you.
And I said yesterday, you know, I don't want to play all these things in just about me because I mean I don't like to talk about myself that much on this program as you know.
So she sends me a statistic.
She says, there have been 263 Rush TV radio mentions of you in the last 24 hours.
263 mentions.
And she then made the point, you know, you're you're missing the boat if you think this is about you.
Operation chaos is also about your listeners.
Anytime the drive bys are talking about Operation Chaos.
They're also talking about your listeners, I have to agree.
She got a good point.
And so uh uh she's she's lobbying me to play more audio sound bites about me and Operation Chaos on the theory that the audience deserves to hear it because the audience is actually also being discussed as well.
No, I don't have 263 sound bites.
I mean, but that's how many mentions that she found.
We have super secret software that tracks this stuff.
That's just in the last 24 hours.
Washington Post today.
I swear I don't know why they did it.
They do an analysis on the front page of Operation Chaos, and when you read it, you can't figure out what they concluded.
And yet they put it on the front page, and they do include the fact uh that I called off the operation yesterday.
As does the Boston Globe.
I saw Sturdley came in and said, did look at did I say something yesterday in the I mean, yesterday's show was one for a time capsule, and I think I remembered everything about it.
Did I say something yesterday about calling off Operation Chaos?
Right.
I said stand by for further orders at the end of the program.
I even went to my own website to see if I had called off Operation Chaos, and I did not call it off, and yet they're out there reporting, I called them.
You know why they're doing this?
You know why the drive-by's are reporting, and I called.
Tell me why, Brian, what do you think?
Mm-hmm.
That's now why they're I did say I did.
I did say the superdelegates ought to go for Obama, but that is to guarantee a Democrat Party loss.
These and they're doing it.
They're doing it in droves.
They're following my advice.
And even Michigan, Michigan's now come up with a plan.
Get this.
Michigan's come up with a plan to offer to the DNC and the rules and bylaws committee to have their delegation seated.
And it would work like this.
I think uh uh Hillary would get sixty-nine votes, delegates, and Barack would get fifty-nine.
Which doesn't change anything, and Barack wasn't even on the ballot.
So it's still percolating up.
There's no I think there's no end operation chaos.
Uh and I didn't call for one.
Now, the real reason they're doing this, Brian, and the rest of you uh people out there, the reason that they're saying that I called off Operation Chaos, and through my support to Obama, is that they are trying to convey in the in the minds of their readers and viewers that I have conceded, that I've given up, and that Operation Chaos was a failure.
That's what they're trying to do by saying I gave it up, that I have canceled it and thrown my support to Obama because that's what they want.
At any rate, back to the Fox interview with Bill Hammer question.
A lot of your listeners have called in to us, and we've heard them say that this was an effort by you to help Hillary Clinton, and they were opposed to that because they thought this was helping her.
And you said all along it's counterintuitive, but yesterday you said you support Obama.
I've gotten up today and I've been doing my show prep here.
I am amazed at the number of drive-by media outlets who totally missed what I said yesterday.
Operation Chaos is not over.
The whole purpose of Operation Chaos was not to get either of these two particularly nominated, it was to create the chaos and get Obama bloodied up.
Now remember when this started, it was right before Texas, Ohio, Mississippi, the McCain campaign, the Republican Party had made it clear they weren't going to be critical of Obama.
And he was a messiah at that point.
He was saying nothing better than anybody else has ever said nothing in my life.
People were fainting.
I said, This guy's gonna have to be bloodied up politically, and who better to do it than the Clintons?
And she couldn't do it if she weren't in the race, so the point was to keep her in, just to keep the Democrat Party in chaos, not to get her the nomination.
I mean, he was the Faeta Compli nominee way back then anyway.
So if everybody's missing I've I've been as open about this for months as I can be, and the reluctance of people in the media to understand it is striking to me and is a great lesson to me on just how much their agenda drives reporting rather than facts.
Next question.
Rush, you said something yesterday I think it was very interesting.
Uh uh just take your words here.
The Republican Party doesn't have the guts to do Operation Chaos, you say, and Senator McCain will not be critical of Obama because they're afraid of racial charges.
Explain that.
That's exactly right.
Well, Mark McKinnon, who uh is a friend of mine, I've met him a couple times, actually said a couple months ago that if the McCain campaign wants to produce ads critical of Obama along the lines of Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers or whatever, that he's gonna quit the campaign.
The Republican Party is uh, I mean, I guess understandably, scared to death of being charged with racism.
And McCain is obsessed with running this honorable campaign filled with integrity, not talking about these kind of things.
And if they do that, I mean they're going to lose 49 states.
You know, political campaigns are what they are, liberals are who they are.
And while Obama may try to stay above the fray, his team is going to be out there.
I don't think Senator McCain has any idea what's going to hit him in this general campaign.
Let us uh let us move forward, uh, ladies and gentlemen to the today show.
Actually, go back in time to the today show.
Today, uh co-host Dan Curry talked to Cindy McCain.
And uh this question, how nasty may this campaign get, Mrs. McCain.
I believe we're going to see a great debate, which the American public deserves, more importantly.
And none of this negative stuff, though, you won't see it come out of our side at all because none of the negative stuff will come out of your side.
My husband is absolutely opposed to any negative campaigning at all.
There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, called this long time ago.
This is this is one of the primary reasons for the establishment of Operation Chaos.
And this is why I say one of our next phases, and there will be many, maybe to try talk about a daunting challenge to convince Republicans to cross the aisle and vote for McCain.
We'll be back in just a second.
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, Rush Limbaugh and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network here at the prestigious and distinguished Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, a reminder.
Operation Chaos has not been called off despite the best efforts of the drive-by media to mislead everybody.
Let's listen, shall we?
Let's go back to uh we had this audio soundbite uh series in the latter part of the last hour yesterday.
This is Paul Bagala, the forehead.
And you know, if you look, and I'm only gonna say this because of what you're gonna hear the forehead say, but if you if you look at the forehead, head on, his head looks like the shape of an egg.
So you're gonna hear the forehead and Donna Brazil.
They're on CNN.
This is Tuesday on their election center show.
Two soundbites.
The hostette is Campbell Brown.
And she said to the uh to the forehead, she said, okay, I gotta bring the forehead into this and get his take on what everybody has been saying, beating up your candidate.
I love Donna.
I'm gonna give her a chance.
We go back twenty-two years.
We've never been on different sides of an argument in our entire lives.
But if her point is that, you know, then there's a new Democratic Party that somehow doesn't need or want white working class people and and Latinos.
Well, count me out.
We cannot win.
With eggheads and African Americans.
Okay, that's the Dukakis coalition, which carried ten states and and gave us four years of the first George Bush.
We can't win with eggheads and African Americans.
That's the Dukakis Coalition.
All right, now Donna Brazil, who is an African American, not happy with this.
We have an uncivil war going on here in the Democrat Party.
Here is her reply.
I've drank more beers with Joe Six Packs, Jane Six Pack, and everybody else than most white Democrats that you're talking about.
I'm saying that we need to not divide and polarize the Democratic Party as if the Democratic Party will rely simply on white blue-collar male.
You insult every black blue-collar uh Democrat by saying that.
So stop the division, stop trying to split us into these groups, Paul, because you and I both know we've been in more campaigns.
Just don't divide me and tell me I cannot stand in Hillary's camp because I'm black, and I can't stand in Obama's camp because I'm female, because I vote.
And I'm grumpy, so I'm my old McCain and go sit for Bill Bennett, Paul.
That's fine.
Now, here's here's the thing about this.
The the the forehead is saying that the Democrats cannot win without blue-collar, white blue-collar voters.
And there's no question he's right about that.
The Democrats are are essentially trying to say that they can come up with a new coalition that doesn't require them, and they're saying this because Obama can't get them.
Now, everybody, you know, here's here's Brazil who is all uh bothered about the insult to black book blue-collar workers.
But is anybody noticed that Obama is getting 90% of the black vote?
And nobody thinks that's racist.
Nobody sees any fact.
The drive-by's and the Democrats, why that's cool.
Why, that's absolutely wonderful.
If 90% of white people voted for the white candidate, we would never hear the end from these same people about how racist it is.
If 90% of the white vote in the Democrat primaries were going for Hillary, folks, we would have an even greater uncivil war going on.
In the meantime, Mrs. Clinton went ahead and got in on this last night.
USA Today's Kathy Kiley interviewed Senator Clinton and asked her this question how does Hillary Clinton win the nomination?
There was just an AP article posted that found how Senator Obama's uh support among working, uh hardworking Americans, uh white Americans is weakening again, and how white and both states who had not completed college were supporting me.
I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on.
She is liked by white people, and Obama is weak with white Americans.
That's what she's saying.
Now, she is being charged.
She is being accused today of instituting a new front in the uncivil war in the Democrat Party.
Meanwhile, 90% of the black votes voting for Obama, that's celebrated.
Mrs. Clinton comes out and says, Well, by there's no other, you know, simple mathematics.
I'm getting a lot of the white vote.
Jeez, racist.
This is not right.
This is bad for the Democrat Party.
How dare she say this?
But it's not racist when 90% of the black vote votes for Obama.
Uh also, this, by the way, the the uh thing in Washington she was attending is celebrating generations of women, and she had some remarks about women voters too.
When I was counted out in New Hampshire, it was the women of New Hampshire who came back and said no, she's not finished yet.
When I was counted out before Super Tuesday, it was women from California to Massachusetts who came and said, no, we're not finished yet.
So look at what she's doing here.
She's A, following my advice.
If you were listening to yesterday's program, I did a monologue, a heartfelt monologue directed and aimed at all the women who have supported Hillary, who are being disrespected, who know that Hillary is the last and only chance for them to see a female president in their lifetime.
And they are being screwed once again.
An inexperienced, good-looking dweeb comes along, gets the promotion after Hillary has followed the path, followed the rules, climbed the rungs of the ladder all of these many years, and she's hit the glass ceiling because her party and the people it support her are going to go with his untested rookie Dweeb, who happens to look good, who happens to sound good.
And I said to the women of America who support Hillary, you are being disrespected.
And she's now followed my advice.
So she's now doing two things.
She is appealing to women to save her again, and she's pointing out hey, you know, I've got the Democrat coalition that can win.
In November, I've got some white people voting for me.
I've got some average ordinary American white people.
The only white people Obama's got are these egghead elitists and these effete snobs and act in the academy.
But I got a cross section of all of them.
That's what she's trying to say.
Now she said this in West Virginia, and as far as the drive-by's are concerned, West Virginia may be Alabama, may as well be Mississippi.
It's deliverance.
As far as the drive-bys are concerned.
I mean, it's that's a land of incest, it's it's it's a land of just all these horrible, horrible people in the South, the things that they do, this is what the drive-by's in the elites in the academy and the Northeast is what they think.
And so they're saying today, some of the reactions are, well, of course, look where Mrs. Clinton is saying all this.
She has to say this to these dumb white people.
And the best place to say address dumb white people is in a state like West Virginia, which also happens to produce uh Jay, well, didn't produce he moved their sharecropper, went and took over uh Jay Rockefeller.
Uh so the bottom line here is that the uncivil war in the Democrat Party has been reopened.
Now, anybody thinks that Mrs. Clinton is just going to slink away and go away has another thing coming.
She has no intention of doing that.
And they're going to base this, they're going to base their attempts here on winning these next primaries and going into the convention or going into the rules and bylaws committee meeting on May 31st, which she controls, by the way, trying to do something with the Florida and Michigan delegations to get them seated, because that would give her a huge bump.
The uh superdelegates not talking to her.
She's not actually making a direct pitch.
Harvey Weinstein, the big time movie producer a month ago, called Nancy Pelosi and threatened to cut off funding to the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee from his Hollywood buddies if Pelosi didn't back off and and uh start, you know, trying to tilt the deck toward Obama.
So there's all kinds of chaos that continues to reign supreme in the Democrat Party.
And the drive-by media.
Back in a sec.
Uh Mr. Sturdley just reported to me during the uh EIB Obsede and Prophet timeout that he's getting quite a few calls of people wanting me to talk about oil.
You mean the Democrats' idea that they proposed just to just whole concept of oil.
Price of oil, to expect what to do about it, what to do about the price of oil.
Okay.
Uh be glad to do that.
Let's uh in fact, let me I have a whole stack of that.
I've just got to I gotta put it here at the top.
Because I got a McCain stack.
This is I don't even want to do it.
I I just I just McCain to give major environmental speech.
I don't even I don't even I I just don't even want to know what it's gonna I I just don't even get the oil stacked.
It'll be a good rest.
Hang on this.
Okay, get the oil stack right there.
Uh audio soundbite time, cookie lobbying me to play audio sound bites about Operation Chaos because they're actually about you this morning, PMS.
NBC, Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough, and Mika Bzhinski are talking with uh Phillion Tiki Barber about Operation Chaos, and this is how it went.
Look at how much fun he's having with the Democrats.
Because he's actually confessed.
Some of them that he's changed the results in these races.
It's hilarious.
Take a look.
I am tempted to tell a superdelegates to pick Obama, because I now believe that he would be the weakest of the Democrat nominees.
Now, if I were to go that way, this would be a landmark decision for Operation Chaos, because up till now Operation Chaos has not picked a candidate on the Democrat side.
We have successfully created chaos.
We have done our part to expose Obama through our support of Operation Chaos, effectively using the Clinton campaign as our foil, and Obama and the Democrat Party are the weaker for it.
Every objective has been met and surpassed.
Oh my God.
That was Mika Zhezinski.
Oh my God, I love him.
But the reason I think she's in the tank for Obama, uh, I believe, I don't think she really loves me.
They had Governor Florida on our governor.
Charlie Christ was on the program uh this morning as well.
And Mika Bzinski said to him, I'm confused by Operation Chaos, front page of the Washington Post, what's Rush Wimbaugh up to?
You think this is gonna work?
Well, I don't know.
You know, he's got an awful lot of listeners, and uh he's out of Florida, so we love him.
But um, you know, it it's had an interesting impact.
You know, talk radio is as Joe knows, and and all of you know, is very important, as is cable.
Let me uh give you your due.
But um, seriously, it's uh it's an amazing thing to watch, and when you have millions of listeners, it can certainly make a difference, and Mr. Limbaugh is very, very effective and does a great job.
I'll tell you, the uh uh the cookie is absolutely right.
This operation chaos, I mean, the commanders get all the credit.
But I, as a commanding officer, I stayed here in the bunker.
I never once hit the battlefield.
You soldiers hit the battlefield.
You're the ones that put on your uniforms.
You're the ones that even handmade your uniform.
Did you hear the call we had late yesterday from a woman who her name was Michelle, I think she was uh Ohio?
No, Indiana.
Some place in Indiana.
She had three little kids.
And she obviously couldn't afford to go to the EIB store, get her own Operation Chaos uniform.
She made it herself.
That's the kind of dedication that Operation That's sacrifice, that is real sacrifice for the mission.
Everybody working for each other in a common goal.
She was from Indianapolis, uh, Michelle from Indianapolis, uh, Indiana.
So Operation Chaos really is about all you're the ones that screwed them all up out there.
You are the one showing up and voting, and you have just got them in a tizzy.
As I said, the front page of Washington Post today with a big time analysis of Operation Chaos, but when you read it, you can't figure out what their conclusion is.
No, I don't have the whole thing.
I mean, it's too, it's it's it's too long.
I don't want to read the whole thing.
I didn't even print the whole thing out.
I just printed the first page of it because the first page has the um the claim here that I called off Operation Chaos yesterday.
All right, here's a here's a couple paragraphs.
And it's by Alec McGillis and Peter Slevin.
Uh even as Barack Obama's campaign celebrated Tuesday's results, aides charged yesterday that they would have had an even stronger showing were it not for meddling by an unlikely booster of Hillary Clinton, the popular conservative radio host and longtime Clinton family nemesis, Rush Limbaugh.
The impact of Limbaugh's Operation Chaos emerged as an intriguing point of debate, particularly in Indiana.
Limbaugh crowed about the success of his ploy all day Tuesday, featuring on-air testimonials from voters in Indiana and North Carolina who recounted their illicit pleasure in casting a vote for Clinton.
Some of the people show up and ask for a Democrat ballot, and a poll worker says, Why?
What are you going to do?
And he says, Operation Chaos, and the poll worker just laughs.
Limbaugh said Tuesday.
And then they make the point.
Later on in this piece, where they uh that Obama's not crippled.
Even if I did, they don't conclude that I had any impact, but even if I did, they say.
Now keep in mind, they run a front page story on Operation Chaos, and they try to say that there was no impact, but then they say if there was, Obama is not crippled or bloodied anyway.
This means we've got them right where they want them.
Losing a state has no impact.
A Washington Post number two.
You don't think your bot your guys bloodied up?
You don't think that there's a huge difference in the Obama campaign now what it was before Texas and Ohio and Mississippi where he was the Messiah?
We got him right where we want them, folks.
The Democrats think that there's no, they've got all these polls that they have taken themselves that say that the whole mess with Jeremiah Wright has no effect on Obama.
It has no I mean, they're in denial.
If there's no impact, I'd like to ask the Washington Post, then why did Obama and his campaign give it credit for his loss or blame?
Why did the Obama campaign blame us?
You know, this is the first time in this campaign.
Now stop and follow me here.
Normally the Obama campaign sends a spokesman out, they sent a press release out, the drive-by's slavishly dutifully report it.
The Obama campaign has a conference call, they put the haughty John Kerry who served in Vietnam on the call.
He says I tampered with the primary.
Bill Burton of the Obama campaign says I'm the reason Obama lost it, and the drive-by's doubt it.
They hate us, folks.
They resent us.
Not just me, but you.
Because before me and this program and you, they had a monopoly over all this.
They resent.
They have a deep dark resentment for all this.
And so even they put something on the front page that they try to deny had any impact.
Yet it's on the front page.
All right, Jerry, in uh in Cookville, Tennessee, as we'll start on the phones with you.
It's nice to have you here.
Hello.
Good morning, Rush.
Or afternoon.
I'm sure word is.
Yes.
Oh, you're at.
Anyway, Rush, um, I'm just wondering if uh if Hillary's waiting for another shoe to drop, if she's got something.
Or I heard um accuracy and media, they might drop something on Obama here in a week or two, and if she's hoping and waiting around for that to do him damage, where the superdelegates would be forced to go with her.
Okay, let me I I I'm gonna break silence on something.
You know this whole business of Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers.
For 14 Months.
Well, let's go back to March.
A year ago, March, April, whatever, 2007, the Clinton campaign reached out to people in the media, attempting to get them to get on the Jeremiah Wright stuff.
Now, this is not a secret.
Well, I think the length of time involved is the big point is the Clintons didn't do it themselves because of the racial aspect.
They too were afraid of being accused of racism if they had called a press conference saying, look at this guy's preacher.
So the Clinton campaign was reaching out to all kinds of people in the media trying to pimp them into using the Jeremiah Wright stuff.
Now they did not call me.
They did not reach out to me because they know they can't pimp me.
But they did reach out to, and not too many people bid on it.
But when Brian Ross did of ABC, the investigative unit, and this is back in um I think March of this or whatever it was, when Brian, you know, Hannity had been on this for a long, long time.
Sean had been talking about this, and when the when they when Brian Ross did this on AB, that's when it blew up.
And Brian Ross was the first reporter that the Clintons gave the particular video and audio of Jeremiah Wright saying, God bleep America.
And that's when ABC decided to go with it.
Now the reason I say this to you is that the Clintons have been trying for a year to destroy this guy using surrogates, and it took them a year to get Brian Ross to run this stuff in the mainstream drive-by media.
They have, I'm sure they've shot their wad.
I don't think they have anything else left on Obama.
They would have used it by now.
They may have been pimping other media people to use whatever they may have, but they're they're reduced now to sitting around and hoping for a screw up.
They are that's I am convinced, since they've been using the they've been trying to get media people to do this their dirty work for the past year, that this is it.
If they've if they've got some giant thing to unload here, it's awful desperate.
This is awful late to start trying this.
It's not too late, but it's it's awful late.
Uh she doesn't have much money, but she doesn't need a whole lot of money for these remaining states.
Uh she's gonna garner so much free media attention here because nobody wants her to stay in the race that she may not need that much money.
Now, Howard Wolfson or Ickies, I can't remember which.
You know, it's they're they're they're they're one and the same as far as I'm concerned.
One of these two guys said on Monday, warning Democrats going into the polls on their primaries in uh Indiana and uh North Carolina, you guys, I just want to tell you if Obama wins this thing, the Republicans have a giant October surprise.
Wait.
And of course, the Democrats in the drive-by-that's the dirtiest thing I've ever heard of.
And the Obama campaign, that's the dirtiest thing ever.
What October surprise.
Republicans are gonna have an October surprise no matter who the candidate is, all these people said.
Now, I don't know if there's an October surprise.
But these guys are saying there's something, which if if you want to believe it, then you have to believe, okay, there is something else out there about Obama that we don't know, or that we do know by virtuous speculation, but that as of now can't be proven.
But maybe there's proof for it, whatever it is.
Now, I you know, the McCain camps out there saying we're not gonna go negative, that's not who we are.
Somebody's gonna have to.
The short version of the question here, Jerry, is I think they've they've gotten rid of every bit of ammunition in their in their qu a quiver.
They've given it to whoever they hope will use it and get it out there.
The problem is the people that they want to use it are in a tank for Obama.
Well, they are.
The drive-by media, the people that the Clintons would want to use this stuff, let's say you got something on Obama.
Let's say the Clintons have it.
And if if if anybody has it, it would be the Clintons, right?
I mean, these are the people can somehow put their hands on 500 Republican Party FBI files.
So let's say they got something theoretically, but they don't want to be the ones to release it because everybody's afraid is racial stuff.
So they're at their lobbying people to get it out there and use it.
Most of the people that they're gonna lobby to use it are in the tank for Obama and want Mrs. Clinton out of there.
So I I don't know what's there.
I have no clue.
There's a big, big earth-shattering detail is going to blow this thing wide open.
I do know this.
If there is such a detail, it's going to have to happen soon.
But I don't know who's got it and who's and who's going to use it.
Therefore, I think one of the things that she's hoping is that he just naturally screws up.
But look, folks, if in the Democrat Party, you know why he's getting 90% of black vote?
Jeremiah Wright.
You get 90% of black.
The black vote is retaliating against this attempt to destroy Obama with his preacher.
So the release of the Jeremiah Wright stuff is actually firmed up black voter support for Obama.
If they've got something.
And if he if he hasn't slipped up with Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers and a flag pin and some of these other wacko things he's been saying, if he hasn't slipped up yet, I don't know what's going to trip him up.
And they're back to promoting him as the Messiah now.
You know, Messiahs are saviors.
They save other people from screwing up.
So we'll have to watch this very closely.
But that's my, I'm sorry, very long answer to your question, but I could contain what I knew no longer.
Hey, try this.
Try this editorial from the Washington Post today.
The uh the headline, Mr. Obama moves on, and the subhead.
The next task.
Strategy and substance for the general election.
Even the Democrat cheerleaders of Barack Obama say, okay, up next, Barry, a little substance.
God help us.
God help us.
We have so much work to do to save this country between now and November.
On three fronts.
Mary in Champaign, Illinois.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hey, Rush.
Hi.
Hi, it's great to speak with you.
Thank you very much.
My question is kind of about the new uh it seems like the new uh term that uh drive-by keeps throwing out there is about uh vicious Republican attack machine.
I just kind of wanted to get on what you think about that and why that seems to be so prevalent.
Let me ask you, Mary in this.
Yes.
You're not supposed to ask women uh their age, but uh I'd like to know, give me an age range because I need to know how much experience you have paying attention to politics and media in election years.
I'm 22.
22.
All right.
Well, uh I love getting calls from people your age, so I can tell you that this is every election year we hear about the Republican attack machine.
We're now now there is no Republican attack machine.
The Republican Party, as a party, does not have an attack machine.
The Republican Party doesn't even have a defense machine.
The Republican Party is just sitting around twiddling its thumbs and hoping people continue to send its money.
The place where there are activists is in conservatism.
And because of the total inability, lack of desire of the Republican Party to actually play this game according to the rules set by the aggressor, which is the Democrats.
Activists on the conservative side, such as the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, will surface and tell people the truth about the Democrat nominee John Kerry.
Now, what you have to understand when you hear liberal Democrats or the media talking about a Republican attack machine, the translation for that is damn Republicans, they're gonna tell the truth about us again.
A Republican attack or any attack on a Democrat or liberal is by definition the truth.
And as such, it's vicious and it is mean, and it's uncalled for.
And we should not engage in attacks.
The Democrats don't want the truth about themselves told and broadcast.
So that's that's what the Republican attack machines is.
The official Republican Party doesn't have one.
Conservatives who care about the future of the country in an ideological sense know that defeating liberals is key to moving the country forward according to the way we see it.
And as such, there are groups that will come forward, produce their own ads.
Those groups now are probably going to be denounced by our Republican nominee, Senator McCain, if they happen to go too negative.
But there is no Republican attack machine.
There is a conservative survival machine, and it exists entirely to tell the truth.
Okay, that's it, folks.
The first hour, fastest three hours in media.
First hour now in the can.
Little broadcast lingo there.
Uh brief time out here.
We'll be back.
We'll continue.
