Time Text
Just waiting for the staff to tell me it's time to go.
No, I'm not talking about you.
I'm talking about the people on the other side of the glass.
Who have no confidence?
I will execute the programming format flawlessly without their input.
Anyway, it's great to be with you, ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, the cutting edge of societal evolution.
From the heavily fortified and very secure Southern command bunker, I'm the commander in chief.
U.S. Operation Chaos.
By the way, some of you people, I know you think you're very funny out there.
I'm getting emails.
Rush, what is sink you suck?
I have never said sink you suck.
It is sink you sock.
Commander in chief, U.S. Operation Chaos.
Sink you suck.
I have taste, dignity on this program.
Never say something like that directed at you.
Some people think I was telling them that they sucked.
Anyway, Operation Chaos is uh is heating up again, ladies and gentlemen.
In Indiana, the Democrats there are on the war path.
They are threatening retaliatory action to identify operatives of Operation Chaos and to try to nullify the impact.
But before we get to that, chaos has erupted even further on the Democrat side in the presidential campaign.
Barack Obama made a call for nonviolence in the aftermath of the Sean Bell verdict in New York, which infuriated the Reverend Sharpton, who accused Obama of trying to grandstand in front of white people.
This is in the New York Post today.
During what a source described as a heated phone call yesterday, Sharpton told Obama he was disappointed with what Obama said on Friday when Obama said resorting to violence to express displeasure was completely unacceptable and counterproductive.
Sharpton said Obama issues this statement.
Not a single rock had been thrown.
Actually, it's not Sharpton, one of his sources said this.
How does the candidate of change ask people to accept a verdict that is unjust?
You know, this is, you know, Sharpton was promising to shut the city down in New York starting Friday afternoon, and there were people at Mast outside his National Action Network office in Harlem.
Uh there really hasn't been any violence to speak of that has broken out, but Sharpton is just offended as he can be that Obama would tell him how to run his affairs, especially when there hasn't been one rock throne yet.
Operative word yet.
So we thought we'd go back.
And all these years of sacrifice.
The Reverend Al Sharpton sings Barack, the magic Negro.
I keep on getting gifts from the Democrat Party and their presidential campaign.
I thought that we had run the cycle with uh Barack the Magic Negro and the Reverend Sharpton.
Lo and behold, Obama opened his mouth, got in Sharpton's business.
Well, you know, Sharpton makes money off all this stuff, and here's Barack saying, I think we need nonviolence.
There's not a way to salava.
Shut up, man.
Shut up.
You in Chicago, I'm in New York.
I'm in a big city, you in a second city.
Shut up.
Guess who else has spoken, ladies and gentlemen?
I just love the roster of ex-Democrat candidates and presidents that speak up and attempt to offer their wisdom.
For the Democrats finding themselves in their current plight, the Jim McCarter.
And now Michael Dukakis has spoken up.
Michael Dukakis says that um well, that's it.
This isn't a New York Observer.
The men Massachusetts primary, along with nearly two dozen other primaries in caucuses was held on February 5th.
Clinton won by 15.
One of her best showings anywhere, and Dukakis voted in it, but he won't say for who.
He's I voted for a candidate, yeah, but I'm not gonna tell you who.
The bottom line is Dukaka says it's probably Obama in 08, but the campaign needs to improve.
This from Beatle Bailey.
Beetle Bailey Dukakis who ran out there in a tank with an army helmet on, telling the Democrats how to improve their campaign.
Can it get any better than this?
I will never forget.
Dukakis lost his 20-point lead over Bush after the Republican convention in 1988.
And they took the campaign back to Boston and have his giant rally.
And they were going to have a giant rally with uh Dukakis and his wife, and they were going to try to re-energize the troops.
And uh this was perfect because they had an orchestra, they had a band out there, and the band was tuning up and getting ready for Dukakis and his team to walk on stage.
Our microphones were there.
They're just warming up here.
This is just they're getting ready for his grand entrance in the stage.
The crowd is filing in, milling about, chatting amongst themselves.
Okay, so the band's tuning up, they're getting ready.
People are filing in expecting this great, great rally here, and it's going to get them re-energized.
Dukakis, his campaign team is wife reintroduced.
They walk out on the stage, and a band greets them triumphantly.
And the crowd was going nuts now, folks.
They're shaking hands or slapping each other on the back, high fives all this, getting ready for the speeches.
Dukakis gets close to finishing and running close to the podium, a microphone to be introduced.
The band's gonna rev it up here in a second here.
Accomplished basketball player and horrible bowler, Barack Obama has said he will have more to say today about the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
What's he gonna say?
You know, the more he denounces right, the more right's gonna come back and destroy him.
That's what's happening here.
I don't think there's any question about it whatsoever.
I thought this was a rehab tour, but Wright's doing too much here on purpose.
Uh that's not helpful to uh to Obama at all.
We'll get to that when it happens when he says something, whatever it is.
In the meantime, Operation Chaos.
Local news in Indiana is heating up with Operation Chaos Talk.
Democrats planning on challenging Operation Chaos voters and forcing them to sign affidavits.
It is the vote stopo.
The Democrat Party Indiana vote stoppo, trying to intimidate voters.
On Tuesday, WISH TV is a report here correspondent Jim Shelle on Operation Chaos.
You will also hear from Indiana Democrat Party Chairman Dan Parker, Indiana Secretary of State, Todd Rokita.
Bill Clinton campaigned for his wife Hillary in Carmel.
A hotbed of Republicans this morning.
It's a search for crossover voters.
But Hillary could benefit from Republican troublemakers too.
Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh calls it Operation Chaos.
He believes that Barack Obama would be tougher to beat in November.
So he encourages Republicans to take a Democratic ballot and vote for Hillary.
Anyone who's trying to manipulate our primary, that's something that we would not look favorably on.
Trouble is it's tough to stop.
You don't register as Republican or Democrat.
And you have a right to go in and pull a ballot for the party of your choosing.
My only message to Rush Lima is be careful what you wish for.
Now, if you're a longtime Republican primary voter and you ask for a Democratic ballot, you can be challenged in Indiana.
A precinct official can ask you to sign an affidavit saying that you voted for a majority of Democrats in the last election or plan to do so in November.
If you lie, it's a felony.
But the only way you can be caught is if you tell on yourself.
Um can't testify against yourself.
You cannot be made to testify against Operation Chaos.
It couldn't get any better.
They are threatening voters.
This is just like what they tried in Ohio, this loyalty oath.
You can't do that.
You cannot how are they gonna police right-in voters, for example, to sit there and say that a precinct official can ask you to sign an affidavit, saying that you voted for a majority of Democrats in the last election, you plan to do so in November.
They can't do that.
You can go in and vote for whoever you want at any time.
You can write in the you could you could write in Osama bin Laden if you wanted to.
Anytime you went in to vote.
They can't do this.
And then this clincher line, if you lie, it's a felony, but only the only way you can be caught is to tell on yourself because they cannot look and see how you voted.
All they can do is tell that you showed up.
They are trying to intimidate our volunteers in Indiana.
The Democrats once again displaying exactly who they are.
I have to laugh at all of this hand-wringing and this whining and moaning of manipulation.
And all of these other things that they think the mischief that we think we're engaged in.
Have you, Democrats ever heard of Cook County, Illinois and Mayor Richard Daly in Chicago in 1960?
One out of every ten votes was fraudulent.
Have you ever heard of the group Acorn?
Some community organization.
This is a fraudulent, this is a voter registration group set up to fraudulently register people in St. Louis.
In the last election, it was discovered at 1,000 people with no addresses and no social security numbers had been registered by Acorn.
And they worked to register Democrats.
It was Democrats crossing over in New Hampshire and other places early on in the primary season this year that gave us Senator McCain as the Republican nominee.
To sit there and say that you have to sign an affidavit that you voted for Democrats in the past.
You're going to do so in the future.
There's no way they can know unless you go tell on yourself.
Ladies and gentlemen, those of you volunteer operatives.
Operation Chaos in Indiana do not be deterred by this.
They are five besides that, they're not going to go after you.
They will come after me, the commander in chief.
Which they threatened to do in Ohio but never did.
There's nothing they can do here.
This is this is about the most they can do is what Dan Parker said.
Hey, Rush, be careful what you wish for.
threatening me.
The Democrats in Indiana think they can threaten me.
And they think...
They can threaten you.
They do not understand the commitment, the resolve, the purpose, and the passion behind all of volunteers in all the states remaining in Operation Chaos.
Last night on NPR's All Things Considered, the co-host Michelle Norris, Indiana political consultant Brian Howie, have this exchange about me and Operation Chaos.
There are two sets of Republican voters that we see.
We see uh the Obamacans, they're a little bit upset with their own party because of the uh the war and the high gas prices and the high grocery prices and that kind of thing.
And then there are your mischievous uh Rush Limbaugh Republicans who seem to think that uh if they vote for Hillary Clinton, it will create an easier environment for John McCain in the fall.
Well, isn't that interesting?
A tight Democratic primary could ultimately be decided by Republicans.
Yes, isn't that ironic?
And interesting.
Ironic.
Isn't that ironic?
A tight Democrat primary can be decided by Republicans.
There is controversy in Indiana.
Should Republicans vote in local races or the Democratic primary last night, WTHR TV Indianapolis.
Correspondent Jeremy Brilliant.
Reported on Operation Chaos.
You'll also hear an unidentified anchor and announcer from a Dan Burton ad.
Republican congressional candidate John McGoff.
You will hear me and Hamilton County, Indiana GOP chairman Charlie White.
Conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh has called on Republicans to vote for either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama in the primary in an attempt to weaken the Democratic Party.
But in Hamilton County, the Republican stronghold of the 5th district, there are no less than seven races of local significance.
As a recommendation to all Republicans, leave the Democrat primary to the Democrats.
Hamilton County GOP Chair Charlie White is encouraging voters to cast ballots for those they want elected, not in an attempt to spoil someone else's race.
In Hamilton County, for almost all the races, whoever wins the primary ends up winning the general election.
So locally, if you want to have a say, you need to vote in the Republican primary.
And that was uh that was uh GOP chairman in Hamilton County uh Charlie White, uh urging people not to cross over and vote in the Democrat primary, urging people not to participate in Operation Chaos because of down the ballot considerations.
Now those are that those are some considerations that we have taken into account here in our strategic planning sessions here at uh Operation Chaos, same thing in North Carolina.
There are a number of instances of down the ballot Republicans uh who do deserve to be elected.
Uh So this is something we leave up to individual operatives.
Now we do issue orders here.
But we have respect for our operatives that they know the right thing to do based on the district that they live in.
We got it all covered.
We're talking here about Hamilton County, but there's more than Hamilton County in Indiana.
And there are some counties in Indiana which are not Republican, and Republicans down the ballot don't have a chance.
Those operatives know full well to go in and vote in the Democrat side of this and then re-register as Republicans later on afterwards.
So those of you Republicans in Indiana, Hamilton County or elsewhere, fear not.
Follow your guts.
We'll be back after this.
Back to the audio sound bites before we get back to your phone calls as Operation Chaos continues to be put under the drive by media microscope.
We now go to San Francisco.
Yesterday morning, KTVU TV is morning on two.
The host is Ross McGowan.
And he talked to the San Francisco Chronicle reporter Carla Maranucci, who did the front page story on Sunday in the Chronicle on Operation Chaos.
Ross McGowan said to her, Rush Limbaugh is causing the Democrat Party to be, well, the primary actually to be more chaotic than ever.
In fact, Limbaugh is being called a Prince of Darkness, you say.
The great Satan.
Yeah.
And uh look, he's helping the Democrats do what he says the Democrats are already doing, which is completely ruin their chances for getting into the White House.
He's uh telling his listeners every day, and he has a password protected website and sends it out there telling them to re-register in these Democratic primaries from Republican to Democratic, and to vote for Hillary Clinton in the last case, at least trying to prolong it.
He says that if this goes on and these candidates are beating each other up, and if you keep giving Hillary Clinton another opportunity, then by the time it comes to August, the Democrats will have no chance whatsoever to get to the White House.
Well, and then it gets to the super delegates then, and then they, if they take it away from whoever wins.
That's exactly what he says.
Whoever the superdelegates decide on, the other candidate supporters are going to be mad, and there's just no chance of unity.
Superdelegates will have to commit political murder in choosing one of these two.
Oh, just one correction here.
And this this sort of helps me understand something.
Did you hear her refer to my password protected website?
Operation Chaos is a radio operation, and there is no password required to listen to the program.
All you need is a radio and a city.
We're on in every city.
Some little small burgs were not there, but I mean every major city in the country, six hundred of them.
You don't need a password, you don't need a secret decoder uh box.
Uh you just turn on the radio.
Now, our password is our our website's password protected because we have members, but we also have a free side.
But the attempt here was to illustrate that the orders are going out under cover of password-protected internet communications.
Secret marching orders.
Only to available Operation Chaos volunteers.
Not the case at all.
Uh everything about Operation Chaos is wide open.
This is the fun of it.
We're telling the Democrats exactly what we're going to do, and they can't stop it.
This is like the old days of the Pittsburgh Steelers back in the 70s.
You line up, they you you knew that they were going to come right at you with Franco Harris or Rocky Bly.
You just knew it and you still couldn't stop them.
Dallas never stopped them when it counted, snurdily checked the Super Bowls.
Bottom line is we're telegraphing every move, not behind a password protected website.
We're telegraphing every move well in advance.
We gave a Democrats in Pennsylvania six weeks of a head start stop us.
Same thing in Indiana, same thing in North Carolina.
We're telling them exactly what we're going to do, when we're going to do it, well in advance.
They still can't stop Operation Chaos.
Ross McGowan then said to Carla Marinucci, well, has Limbaugh been able, in fact, to get some Republicans to re-register.
You know, in the Pennsylvania primary alone, a hundred thousand Republicans re-registered for the Democrat, and about half of them did vote for Hillary Clinton.
Many of the Republicans who have re registered said, yeah, we voted for Hillary, but we don't think she'd be a good president.
That suggests that maybe he is moving uh some of these uh uh people over and causing chaos.
And then the thing about it, a lot of people are shocked by this and believe it's unfair, but I mean Rush Lindbaugh is doing this in the light of day.
And it's not like clandestine or anything, and there's a lot going on in the back room that is, in fact, like the whole superdelegate thing.
Excellent point with the anchor.
That was in San Francisco, Ross McGowan makes a great point there.
Everything that's being done.
Operation Chaos, not a clandestine operation, it's not covert.
But the Democrat Party operation is.
The stuff going on in the back rooms that nobody can see is with the superdelegates, and the stuff that will go on in the back rooms that nobody will ever see is the superdelegates.
We won't know the deals that have been cut among the superdelegates to determine which way they go.
Operation chaos has nothing to hide.
Operation Cha.
We've got hats and t-shirts.
Some of our operatives wear uniforms when they go to the polls.
Some of them do try to blend in with the locals and stink.
You know, don't shower, don't wash their hair, uh, flip-flops, this sort of thing.
Uh we got it all covered.
We've got everything covered.
But the uh superdelegates, the Democrat Party, they're the ones that have the clandestine operation like going on here.
Finally, Ross McGowan says, I didn't actually hear Rush Limbaugh's comments, but it said, and you mentioned in the article.
You also say it was probably tongue-in-cheek.
He said the Democrat convention riots might be a nice finish.
Yeah, I you know, I listened, I listened to the tape.
I know we got a lot of emails on this.
I I think he was talking tongue-in-cheek.
He's an entertainer, yeah.
He absolutely is, and ratings is a big deal with him.
But uh I I think the bottom line is the Republicans are sitting back and watching this with a lot of glee.
And uh the Democrats are gonna have to figure out a way out of dismays.
I've been saying uh this morning so far that uh Rush Lindbaugh reacted to your article.
He emailed me and said he thought it was fair and balanced, which we're a guy who doesn't like the drive-by meeting.
I guess that's a compliment.
A lot of people think we're Fox News.
We're a Fox affiliate.
We are not Fox News.
We do not use that particular phrase.
But it's scary if he thinks it's fair and balanced, right?
But Obama was on Fox News yesterday.
The drive-by's world is crumbly.
So out of his way to point out we're Fox Affiliate, but we're not Fox News.
We're not fair and balanced.
We're not Fox.
Don't confuse us.
We're not Fox News.
By the way, Hillary's going on Fox News tomorrow night.
Hillary's going to appear with O'Reilly on the O'Reilly factory tomorrow night, eight o'clock on the Fox News channel.
Yes.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
All I can think back is all these Democrats.
You realize that the fact that Obama and Hillary are going on Fox, that represents another failure in the uh Democrat strategy.
The reason, you know who got all this started during the Democrat primaries was Edwards.
And maybe Hillary refusing to go on Fox, saying it was unfair, saying that it was biased.
They were that's not what it was about.
They were trying to try to convince as many people as possible Fox was irrelevant.
They were trying to harm Fox's ability and credibility.
Now look what's happened.
Down the nub of it here we are, with Operation Chaos.
And both these candidates, in the heat of the final days of their primary battle, have to go on Fox in order to be seen and to be heard.
So another plank in the Democrat strategy has fallen apart.
That is to obsolete Fox News, make them appear irrelevant and incompetent.
Snerdley just asked me what if uh Obama or Hillary wanted to come here.
I'm not worried about that, because we don't invite guests on the uh on the program, and Fox has been eagerly trying to get these two.
You know, Obama took 772 days to follow through on his commitment to appear on Fox.
I'm not kidding.
They asked him 772 days ago, and he finally said, okay, that's over two years for those of you in uh in Rio Linda.
And then they've had their invitations out to Hillary for a long, long time, too.
But we haven't invited either of them on the uh on the program.
And I would I wouldn't, I wouldn't expect Mr. Snerdley that uh uh they would come here.
I th I don't, you know, I don't deal with what ifs, Mr. Snurdley.
He keeps hounding what if they ask.
I don't deal with ifs.
You know, I don't look to the future and tell myself stories.
And I don't sit there and try to prepare for it.
I don't that's that's a total waste of time.
If it happens, that's when I deal with it.
It isn't gonna happen.
They are not going to they're not gonna ask to appear on this program.
Mrs. Clinton should, if for no other reason than to issue thanks.
And Obama, what he ought to do is go on television and say all of her victories, including Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania, don't really count.
They're not that big a deal because of Operation Chaos.
That a bunch of Republicans who have no intention of voting Democrats have mischievously infiltrated their process voting for Mrs. Clinton.
Uh and and he could uh perhaps negate some of this and take the attention off of the Reverend Wright and put it back on me.
The drive-by's would love Obama dumping on me and saying Hillary's victories are a little peeric because they're illegitimate because some of the voters that voted for her were only voting because I suggested they do it.
They don't really intend to vote for her in November, and the drive-byers would pick it up and he'd only have to say it one time.
He'd only have said it one time.
But obviously at uh Obama headquarters, they have made the judgment that somehow that would not uh be helpful.
Uh somehow they think it would probably be whining or what I don't know what it is, but it's the one way he can stop this.
See, even I, the commander in chief of Operation Chaos, tell the enemy how to shut down my operation.
That's how confident I am.
I tell them how to curtail this and end it.
And they still do not take advantage of my offers of assistance.
Rush Limbaugh, talent on lawn from God.
Your highly trained broadcast specialist, meeting and surpassing all audience expectations on a daily basis.
Back to the phones, not a walnut, California.
This is Pat, and I'm glad you called.
Hi.
Hi.
Yes, this is Pat.
Yeah.
I just want to say that I'm a uh liberal Democrat, and I would like to endorse Operation Chaos because I think that an open primary will produce uh more qualified candidates.
Interesting thought, Pat.
Uh-huh.
So you would you would say that the open the operation chaos here by keeping this going has actually uh helped Obama in the sense that he's now being tested.
He had a cakewalk for a while, but now he's I have no idea what it did for Obama or against Obama.
I I think that uh personally I would rather see uh no political party uh like we have local elections are nonpartisan.
Oh, you like you don't like either party.
I mean you don't like party.
I think that they get in the way of uh they they tend to uh cloud issues.
Tend to cloud issues, did you say?
Yes.
Um, you you know, you would have a lot of people agree with you on that, uh particularly during election years where uh parties tend to take action in their best interest rather than the countries, which is what I think Schumer and the Democrats are doing today, and this whole gasoline price, oil price thing we talked about in the first hour, but just it's just abject irresponsibility on the part of uh Democrats of the United States Senate.
And look, Republicans have engaged in some of this down the road, but their irresponsibility is betraying their voters.
The Democrats betray the country now and then Republicans betray their own voters.
So I kind of see what you're talking about.
Thanks for the call.
Appreciate it.
Dean, Portland, Oregon.
Great to have you here on the EIB network.
Mega Ditto from a loyal operative slash recruiter here in Oregon.
Hey, recruiter, terrific, taking on your own initiative.
It's been very exciting, very fun.
I can't think of a more exciting time to be uh an operative for the EIB.
We have two things going on here in Oregon.
One is today is the last day of registration, And what the shenanigans known for in this state, if you put your uh change of party in at the DMV, you risk not having it picked up by the election office.
So you should bring it in to the election office to be serious.
This is an excellent point.
Also, in this state, they now have a ballot initiative to try and thwart any future operation chaos.
You gotta be kidding me.
Operation chaos has spawned a ballot initiative in Oregon to prevent this kind of thing from happening in future primaries.
They have, they have.
They want to eliminate all abilities of party separation.
They want to make it so that the top two, top two, get to be on the ballot, not the top Republican, not the top.
Democrat, not the top, whoever, but the only the top two.
So if you are the top two vote getters, and you're both Democrats, there is no Republican.
Wait a second.
In the presidential race.
They say that with the presidential race, it won't be effective until after perhaps next.
Wait a second.
Wait a second.
Wait, wait a minute now.
That's that's we i if if it w what you're telling me is true, and if you're accurate, Operation Chaos is inspiring Democrats to take illegal action, which would deny people voting rights.
If you've got a presidential race and you got a Republican primary and a Democrat primary, but the state of Oregon's got this battle initiative that says screw parties.
Whoever the top two vote getters are in our primary, end up as who we can vote for in the presidential ballot.
That's well, that at least on the statewide level they're talking about, but they're also talking about that in the primary process, not being effective until after not this presidential election, not next presidental election, but the one following.
That's in the ballot initiative.
You have stymied me on this.
Well, I'm stymied too.
My wife read me the article, and I wasn't sound this doesn't sound right.
You're sure you're interpreting this thing.
Look, Democrats, I know that they're Democrats, and if they could get Republicans off the ballot, they'd do it.
But this Yeah, they're talking about doing that on the statewide process, but what they're suggesting is that if they can get it on the statewide process, it wouldn't be effective for the presidential process until not the next election, but the following one.
They can't do it.
I don't think so either, but that's the proposal.
Well, and all of this sponsored and spawned by Operation Chaos.
Much loved in the state.
This is it was Hillary territory until after you blew it and talked about Spitzer.
That's right.
And the driver's licenses for illegal aliens.
Well, it's a good piece of advice from our recruiter of Operation Chaos in Oregon.
Don't re-register the DMV.
It might have it picked up in time.
Actually, go to the election office.
If you are a Republican wanting to re-register Democrat to vote in the Oregon primary as part of Operation Chaos.
A quick timeout.
We will be back and continue after this.
Obama's answering questions of reporters in North Carolina right now is going to have a PBS appearance and says going to a big press conference later today on a Jeremiah Wright.
I don't know if this is the big press conference or not.
What I just read indicated was going to happen later in the day.
We've got a story here from March.
Uh Washington voters uh might again enjoy free-for-all primary election ballots thanks to Supreme Court decision that struck a blow to political parties' long-running battle to control the rules of such elections.
The Supreme Court voted 7-2 Tuesday to uphold the state's top two primary, which allows voters to select freely among political parties for various contests without pledging even temporary allegiance to a party.
Still the political parties might renew their legal challenge before voters can uh single such ballot cast a single such ballot.
Uh I still uh uh this is a state issue right now, and I'm not sure that this applies to the uh presidential race in federal elections, have to double check it.
I know a lot of places have uh elections where no party affiliation is mentioned.
Uh you know, town council, city council's a little smaller elections.
You don't run as a member of a political party.
But uh this is obviously Washington State's a Democrat state, Oregon's a Democrat state.
It's obvious what's going on here.
Make sure that a Democrat wins no matter what.
We'll keep a sharp eye on this.
It's all part of Operation Chaos and the fallout from it.
Export Selection
