Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
I've heard that excuse before.
The bridge is up.
I've used that excuse before.
So I know it's a lie.
And Dawn hasn't shown up yet today, folks.
She forgot that I was coming back today.
So she had a hustle and get in.
Greetings and welcome, my friends and welcome.
Great to be back.
Rush Limbaugh here where I belong, doing what I was born to do.
And put everybody at ease at the same time here at the EIB Network and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network, the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
A thrill to be back with you.
Here's the telephone number, 800-282-2882.
And the email address is rush at EIBNet.com.
We're going to get to all this stuff here.
Let me get to one thing.
I got one question.
I just have one question.
I've got a story here in the Christian Science Monitor Day, why Iraq war support fell so fast.
The story is basically a victory lap for the Libs.
And in this story by Linda Feldman, if you know how to read this thing, as I do, as a highly trained broadcast specialist, basically the Libs are marveling at what they've been able to do to the war effort.
They think they've created the Iraq syndrome.
And they are proud about it.
They're proud of it.
They are happy with what they've been able to do here.
And this story talks about all the polling numbers and how the support for the war amongst the American people has plummeted.
If that's true, if the Democrats are simply saying, hey, we're only following the lead of the American people, we got polling data out there, and it shows that the vast amount of people, the vast majority of people oppose this war, think Bush lied, and we need to get out of Iraq.
Well, if that's true, why did only three of them vote that way last Friday when the Republicans finally got a spine?
How about that?
Okay, Democrats, you think we ought to pull out?
We're going to call a vote.
And only three of them voted.
Only put their votes where their mouths are.
Yeah, my friends, I'm going to tell you exactly what's going on here in just a second, but this is the 21st of November, and I've got to do a little house cleaning here.
I need to remind everybody that today is the day that we start matching donors in the Adopt a Soldier program with military personnel around the world.
We've been collecting information from you, the donors, and from military personnel and their families all of last week.
And we've been doing a number of other things to create the database of qualified military personnel in order to be matched up with donors.
And today we start that matchup process.
So today the complimentary subscriptions to the members of the U.S. Armed Forces will start going out.
And if you are a member of the U.S. military, if you are a family member of a soldier, sailor, Marine, airman anywhere around the world who would like to have a complimentary one-year subscription to not only the Rush website, but the Limbaugh letter, just simply go to rushlimbaugh.com and everything it tells you what to do is right there on the home page.
So if you are in the U.S. military and you have an FPO address and we can verify that you are, and that's part of what you'll help us do when you log on and fill out the necessary information, you will then be matched up with a donor who has already contributed to the cause, so to speak.
And let me address something right off the top here.
I became aware of this last week.
I was in Mexico.
I went down and I played in a golf tournament, played golf for six straight days.
It was hotter down there in those six days than it's ever been in the middle of the summer here in South Florida.
But it was a fabulous time.
Puerto Vallarta.
It was an excellent time.
And I really got away.
I took the computer and I used it a couple of times.
And I am at a little Blackberry and I'm getting emails and so forth.
But I really didn't spend a whole lot of time because I was exhausted at the end of each day.
This is a tournament long rounds.
And there's a lot of social activities going on with this.
But I was made aware.
Once again, of the fact that people have misrepresented what the Adopt a Soldier program is all about and that they have, some people took shots at me as attempting to profit on the backs of subscriptions to the U.S. military and so forth and so on.
And I'd just like to call your attention.
It's right there on the website.
You don't need to go to other websites to find out what I say.
You just need to go to my own.
You don't need to go to any other website or listen to anybody else tell you what I said.
All you've got to do is go to my website.
It's right there.
Everything that I said about this is right there.
So the idea here that somehow I am profiting, we are profiting and exploiting members of the military is absurd.
Very briefly, this whole idea came to us from a caller.
It was a brilliant idea.
We instituted it.
The context of it was that Tom Harkin debating whether or not my program is on too much of Armed Forces Radio, a whole day and a half of debate on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
Harkin attempting to get a whole bunch of liberal talk shows that nobody in this country wants to listen to anyway on Armed Forces Radio.
And in the process, was quoting some things that I have said on this program over the years out of context in the typical dung heap fashion.
As Senator Harkin has said, a caller called in and said, hey, look, because only one hour of this program, this hour, is on Armed Forces Radio in the first place.
Just one hour a day.
We had many calls from people who have subscriptions to the website.
Hey, without this, we would be lost over here.
And a caller called and said, why don't you do an Adopt a Soldier program and let people donate subscriptions to members of the Armed Services, which we did.
We set it all up.
I also said, when I announced this last week, I said, I do not ask people to do things that I don't do myself.
I made the point that I was going to be participating in this as well.
I refused to specify exactly what it was.
And the reason for that was modesty.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you how much money I'm donating to this or donating to that, particularly when it's my own enterprise.
And I also made the point that it's not going to be an accounting gimmick, that whatever I do is going to be money that I pay just like any other subscriber.
So let me be specific about what I am going to do.
And since there's always some question, the idea that we would profit from this or try to profit from this struck me as absurd.
Been around here for 18 years doing things the way we do them on the program.
So the bottom line is this.
And I just want to get this out of the way once and for all.
I am matching every donation that comes in for a complimentary subscription in the Adopt the Soldier program.
However many there are, however many we match up, however many members of the military get matched with donors, I am matching that myself.
So there is no way I will personally profit from this.
There was no intent to personally profit from this in any stretch of the imagination or by any stretch of the imagination.
And yet, some people assumed that that's what was going on, put it out there all over the place while I was absent last week.
Then it got promoted throughout the fringe left-wing websites.
And some of our good friends on our very own radio stations saw fit to be critical as well, which I always appreciate.
So here's the bottom line is whatever number of donations there, I'm matching them.
There will be no personal profit to me whatsoever.
It was never intended as that.
It was a caller idea.
We thought it was a great idea and a great service to members of the U.S. military and to do it this way.
The Adopt a Soldier program is we thought a cute hook to do it.
It was a great idea.
So there's the bottom line of that.
I will take a quick time out here.
We've got some audio from last week, but I just want to summarize where we are right now.
The Murtha thing from last week, Cheney's speech, what's going on here with all of this.
I think I can summarize this faster than I could go through all of it and tell you what I think of it bit by bit by bit.
So sit tight.
We'll take a brief time.
Welcome, Dawn.
Nice that you made it in today.
The bridge was stuck, huh?
Got stuck on the bridge coming in.
Yeah.
Okay, we'll have a brief time out here.
Be back and continue with all the rest of today's exciting excursion into broadcast excellence right after this.
You're listening to Rush Limbaugh on the Excellence in Podcasting Network.
The most dangerous man in America is back, firmly ensconced as America's anchorman in the prestigious Attila the Hun chair here at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
By the way, the Ditto Cam is on.
It is be on for the whole three hours.
And I promise one day this week, it's either going to be tomorrow or Wednesday, we will do a fourth hour.
I promised that before I left, we'll do a fourth hour on either tomorrow.
I can't do it today because I've got, you know, I got a lot of stuff that was going on last week.
I got a lot of stuff I have to do this afternoon to make up.
Because I came back yesterday.
I did not do anything.
I didn't shave.
I didn't take a shower.
I didn't wash my hair.
I put on the clothes I was wearing the day before.
I did grunge.
I sat down.
I watched football.
I didn't turn on a computer.
I didn't talk to anybody.
I needed a full day of quiet, and I got it.
But because of that, I didn't get anything done yesterday that piled up last week other than prep for this program.
I started that last night after I got the day of grunge in.
So I got a lot of stuff to do this afternoon.
We'll do a fourth hour on Tuesday or Wednesday.
I understand our buddies at Newsmax have just cleared a story that Murtha, Jack Murtha.
And by the way, do you like the White House new line on Murtha?
They don't want to fight with Murtha.
Cheney had a speech today.
We got some soundbites from that speech at the American Enterprise Institute.
They're going to really, I think, play hardball now on this whole notion that the intelligence was cooked and that the president lied.
But they don't want to fight with Murtha personally.
He's a sympathetic figure.
He doesn't look like a left-wing fringe kook, as some of their website.
He doesn't look like some of these far-out lefties that are in the Congress, like Cynthia McKinney or Nancy Pelosi or some of the others.
So they decided they don't want to go head-to-head with him.
They're calling him an honorable man, calling him a decorated veteran.
We can disagree.
We have disagreements, but they are going to play hardball some of the other things.
Now, they do it the way they want to do it there at the White House.
And sometimes I get the impression they don't realize just how big a fight they're in and just how big the stakes are for themselves, not just their policy.
But beyond all that, I'm told today, Newsmax buddies at Newsmax have a story out that Murthy also urged Clinton to pull out of Somalia in 1993.
So you have a pattern here, and that was just, you know, 18 deaths, and they were parading our Army Rangers through the streets of Mogadishu.
And we had to get out with those pictures.
We had to get out.
Bin Laden has said in an interview with ABC that when we cut and run from Somalia, that showed him we can't take casualties.
That showed him that we are paper tiger, that we don't have the guts anymore to be the great country that we used to be, and that he could basically have his way with us.
I'm not making this up.
It was an interview with John Miller, who was at the time.
He's working with police chief Bratton, I think, out in LA area.
He was.
He may have moved on to something else by now, but he was with ABC at the time and actually had an interview with Bin Laden.
So as we know, Bin Laden viewed our withdrawal from Somalia as weakness.
What I want to know is what do these idiots think that our withdrawal from Iraq will be viewed as?
And you know, when you get right down to it, I have to assume that the Democrats, the liberals, the American left, don't care.
I have to assume they want our defeat.
They claim that we're already defeated, in fact, and that's why we need to pull out.
We're losing this war.
We are the evil ones.
We're losing.
We're already defeated.
We are the ones that are evil.
We need to get out.
And their propaganda, I think, is time to dismiss this December 15th vote that's upcoming in Iraq.
Just as in Vietnam, folks, they don't care about the likely mass slaughter that will occur if we leave.
We pull out of Iraq.
I will guarantee you that every person that's shown up and voted in the elections will be sought out and murdered.
There will be as much mass murder in Iraq as there was in South Vietnam when we pulled out of there.
You know, and Gene Schmidt, she's the freshman congressperson from Ohio that defeated Paul Hackett.
You know, she caused quite a ruckus on the floor of the House last week when she read this letter, read this message that she got from a Marine saying only cowards cut and run.
Well, they are cowards.
Let's be bold here.
They wouldn't even vote to withdraw.
They'll go on television.
They'll go on any television show they can.
They'll go on any network they can get on.
We need to withdraw.
The president lied about the intelligence.
It's an illegitimate war.
It's unjust.
We have no business being there.
We've only created more terrorism.
Well, then vote that way.
If you've got the guts to go on television and say all this, when the proposition comes up in the U.S. House, why don't you go vote for it?
Are you afraid to vote what you're actually saying?
What else can we assume?
They just want to talk about it, folks.
They want to be able to grab the attention of the far left that funds and runs their party.
Do not ever forget that what this is really all about is money as far as the liberals are concerned.
They know who's running their party from the financial side.
They know it's these far-left anti-war fringe kooks, and they're just feeding them red meat.
So these people will think that the Democrats have a spine, so the Democrats are actually dominating.
So they'll continue to send them money.
But when it comes time for to put peddle to the metal, when you got a floor vote in the House of Representatives, what do they do?
Only three of them vote the way they are so confidently speaking.
But they don't want to vote on the record because that will turn off the American people.
They're a bunch of weasels.
They are a true bunch of weasels.
And this is why we cannot trust them to run the national security of this country.
We can't trust that they're even telling us what they really think.
Because if they were telling us what they really thought, they would have voted that way.
And besides, if all of these public opinion polls are such that the vast majority of American people think we've lost the war and we continue to lose, that we're wrong, and we shouldn't have gone in there, blah, then where is the problem?
I mean, you've got the safety net of the public opinion behind you.
Vote for it.
But no, only three of them did.
Two and a half years, just over 2,000 deaths.
And we have literally changed a part of the world for the better.
This is not a defeat.
It's an ongoing success story.
The simple truth is this.
Every success that this country has is a defeat for the anti-war leftists that run the Democratic Party.
They are completely vested in defeat.
They are vested in retreat.
They cannot side with victory.
That is a defeat for them.
Every success that takes place in the U.S. military, be it Iraq, be it Afghanistan, is a defeat for them.
They fear that progress for the world is defeat for them.
And they're right given the ground that they've staked out.
They are truly a fringe minority whose voices are being amplified by a sympathetic media that has a disgust and dislike for President Bush.
And so they're made to appear larger in size and voice than they really are.
The media understand that if Bush is seen as leading a successful war against the enemy, the Libs are going to be out of power for generations.
And this is all about getting their power back.
And if it means defeating the U.S. or participating in that or calling us evil, calling us the losers, then they'll do it to get their power back.
And they know that if this war succeeds and is demonstrably a success, that they're going to be out of power for generations.
If you ask me, it is the terrorists and the liberals today who are fighting for their very survival.
Now, I have not changed my thinking on this.
I know some of you that have, in fact, I think more this way than I've been gone a week than had I been here all last week and been up to my neck in this stuff as you people were.
When you get away from it, I've told you this.
It's amazing how your life changes when you get away from this stuff just for five days.
Well, I did, and I did it on purpose.
Got to recharge the batteries out there.
But I got immersed in it starting on Friday night and Saturday.
Saturday was the come home day.
Sunday, I vegged around, but I did enough last night.
And I watched all this through the prism of hindsight.
And to me, for example, Mirtha, honorable guy, don't know, but to the left, he's nothing more than the next Cindy Sheehan.
You notice how they all got out of the way?
None of them wanted to echo and just point at Mirtha.
Let him speak.
He's just the next in their endless parade of people like Cindy Sheehan or the Jersey girls or Bill Burkitt or whoever.
And it seems they're always able to come up with one of these rallying cry type people in order to focus on.
But the fact is, it's the Libs who are fighting for their very survival, as are the terrorists.
And, you know, the war to have been wrong, we have to lose.
That's their battle cry.
They must have that as a belief if they're to have any credibility amongst themselves.
The war is wrong.
We must lose.
If those two things are not true, then so much of the liberal belief system will be cracked.
So much of it will be shattered.
But as liberals, as far leftists, they must believe that war is wrong, and they must believe that we must lose it since we're the evil ones who started it.
That's their worldview.
But the problem is we're winning.
The Iraqis are winning.
The liberals are demanding defeat.
I can think of no other way.
They're demanding defeat.
That's what we've seen all of last week.
Hi, we're back.
Great to be with you, El Rushmore, the EIB Network, as America's anchor man.
I just got an interesting question here, just checking some email during the break about the Adopt a Soldier program.
Rush, why didn't you just make it simple?
Why didn't you just donate however many subscriptions to military personnel as ask for them, and it wouldn't be nearly as complicated?
You missed the whole point.
The idea is for the American people to be able to show their support for the troops.
I could do that, but we had a caller who suggested the Adopt a Soldier program.
And I'm telling you, the minute before I even reacted to it myself, during the next break after that call, we were deluged with people who wanted to participate in it, who wanted to show their support.
People who are already subscribers who wanted to buy, some people say, I'll buy 50.
Some people say, I'll buy 10.
I'll donate 10.
We wanted to give this as a, well, use this as a mechanism for the American people to show their support.
We wanted to match a donor with a soldier, develop a relationship so that the soldier would have contact with somebody who had donated the website subscription and have ongoing contact with somebody who supports what they're doing.
This was not complicated.
But you have all these people trying to make this into some nefarious secret motive to make money on my part.
How many, let me ask you this, as you're driving around the country and you're listening to our friendly fellow colleagues on my own radio stations rip me to shreds over this.
How many of you probably heard them say, he doesn't need the money?
Why is he doing it?
He hasn't needed anything he can do to.
Is that not a very liberal thing?
Who are they to say who needs money and how much anybody needs?
What business is it of theirs?
Give you a little insight into the way they think.
But more than that, the idea that this whole thing started as a profit motive is absurd and a little bit offensive.
And it's all there on the web.
All you have to do is go to my website to read what I said about it to find out that's not the case.
It's simple.
So here we have a great plan posed by a caller, a great idea.
The American people can show support for troops stationed around the world by donating a subscription to my website, and it gets panned.
It gets ripped to shreds, largely by people who don't support the troops, even though they say they do, who don't support victory, even though they say they do.
These are people that do not want success of any kind.
These are people who, as I say, are demanding defeat, ladies and gentlemen, because their future as an ideological movement depends on it.
Their hope to recapture power depends on America's defeat, not just in Iraq, but in the war on terror.
The only thing, let me tell you the only thing that the al-Qaeda people have going for them, the only thing that the real enemies of the United States have going for them.
Mr. Snurdley, would you like to take a guess as to what I'm going to say?
What's the only thing the enemy has going for it?
The American left.
The American left and the American media.
They are praying that Ted Kennedy and his ilk win the day.
They are praying that people like Dingy Harry and Nancy Pelosi and all these kooks on the American left websites out there have their way.
They are monitoring the American left.
They are studying the American left and they are exploiting the American left.
And even Zawahiri, in his most recent letter to Zarkawi, talked about the Vietnam experience and exactly they're trying to exploit the same thing because they hear the American left trying to exploit the same thing.
So we have Al-Qaeda demanding our defeat.
We have the American left demanding the defeat of their own country.
And they are, as it is, they are the only thing the enemy has going for it.
And some members of the American left are so out of joint on this, they can't even stand a little program like our Adopt a Soldier program to succeed and be portrayed honestly and accurately as what it is.
Let me ask you this.
Let's say we withdraw, which we won't, by the way.
We are not going to withdraw.
I don't, and that vote last Friday in the House is all the evidence you need.
But in addition to that, the president and the vice president have made speeches since.
We are not going to withdraw, which means the left is going to have to keep demanding it.
They're going to have to keep calling for it.
But let's just say hypothetically, what if we did withdraw?
Where would we go to fight the enemy?
Well, see, we wouldn't.
The left doesn't want us fighting the enemy.
We are the enemy.
America is the enemy.
America is evil.
America created terrorism.
America had no business going to Iraq.
They want to go back to pre-9-11 and pretend that we can go back to a peaceful coexistence.
Occasionally they'll hit us, but nothing major if we just show them that we intend them no harm.
Meanwhile, they keep expanding their worldwide network.
Where would we deploy our forces?
Let me ask you this question.
I'll just ask it hypothetically.
If we withdraw, where would we go to fight the enemy?
I'll tell you, right here in our own country.
That's where we would have to deploy our forces.
The enemy is bogged down in Iraq right now.
The enemy is caught in a quagmire.
If anybody wants to talk about a quagmire, it's al-Qaeda and the enemy that are in the quagmire.
But if we pull out, they're going to follow us.
They're going to follow us wherever we go.
Mirtha's idea, well, let's just pull out of the region.
Let's just pull out of Iraq.
Oh, okay, so we're going to station people in Kuwait, huh?
And then what's going to happen?
We station them in Kuwait and Qatar and other places.
Then Al-Qaeda goes in and totally devastates the remaining population of the country and takes over, forcing us back in.
What do we do?
Or we just sit there and watch this.
Yes, Russia, it's their country.
They'll choose sides as they wish.
They don't want us there.
I don't believe any of this.
You have to understand what the left is all about here.
The left is all about recapturing their power, and they know that if this ends up successfully, they are going to be out of power for generations.
The only thing the enemy has going for it is Americans' liberals.
They're praying.
Al-Qaeda is praying that Dingy Harry and Ted Kennedy and Biden and all the rest win the day.
But it isn't going to happen.
Not this time.
This is not Vietnam.
There is a new media in addition to the old mainstream bunch.
The new media will not allow what happened to our brave men and women in Vietnam to happen again.
It simply will not be permitted.
Not really that interested in Murtha, ladies and gentlemen, to tell you the truth.
I know he got everybody's dander up all last week, but I think he's just the useful idiot of the moment.
He's just, I mean, I'm not taking away from his service in Vietnam.
It's not.
It's not his service that we are questioning.
We're questioning his judgment here.
What kind of serious hawk calls for withdrawals like this?
He talks about that they portray this guy as a former hawk.
I don't think he ever has been a hawk.
In his career as a congressman, he advocated pulling out of Somalia, as I say.
But it isn't about Mirtha.
Murtha's irrelevant in all this.
This is about our troops and our national security.
Murtha just getting his 15 minutes of fame like Cindy Sheehan got and like Bill Burkett got.
Well, Burkitt got almost a year.
The Jersey girls, Richard Clark, Joseph Wilson, you name it.
Just the latest member of the endless parade of personalities around whom the Democrats can circle and support.
But as I say, when it comes time to put the pedal of the metal and vote, in fact, Mirtha voted against it.
Murtha was not even one of the three to voted for it.
And that's because he wanted his caucus, he says, to have cover.
So what was it, a 400 and some to three vote, 400 to 3, when it came time to vote on exactly what they were saying.
Now, Mertha, just to close the loop here, Mertha is saying that the U.S. forces would leave Iraq before next year's U.S. congressional elections.
Predicts the troops will be gone by the 06 elections.
He says, I have never seen such an outpouring in the 32 years I've been in Congress of support and people with tears in their eyes, people walking along, clapping when I'm walking through the halls of Congress, saying something needed to be said.
It's not me.
It's the public that's thirsting for an answer to this thing.
Well, all right, Congressman, that's all well and good, but if the public's thirsting for it, why didn't you give them what they want last Friday when you had the chance?
If the public is really thirsting for this, if the public really wants us to lose, if the public really wants us to pull out and come home, if the public really thinks that this is a wasteful, useless, pointless exercise, as you do, as all the Democrats do, why on earth did you vote against your own idea?
Why did they do so?
Because they're cowards.
They're cowards.
They are the cowards.
They are the ones who had the chance to step up and actually vote the way they were talking, and they didn't.
I don't know what the reaction to that and the kook left-wing websites was, but it could not have been pretty.
We'll be back after this.
Stay with us.
Grab a quick telephone call here.
Reggie of Chicago, you're with us.
Nice to have you on the program, and welcome.
Yes, Rush.
Quick question, if I might.
I was sure Mertha voted for his own resolution.
Just heard you say he didn't.
Who did not?
Who were the three?
The three were Robert Wexler from down here at Fort Lauderdale, Boca-Raton area, Jose Serrano from New York, and Cynthia McKinney, the old reliable kook from Georgia.
Those were the three who voted to withdraw.
The vote was 403 to 3.
Yes, and who were the six that voted present?
That I don't know.
We'll find those.
You think those are gutless wonders as well?
Exactly.
Exactly.
Don't you?
Well, I think they're all cowards.
I think they're very defensive here.
In fact, let me play this audio soundbite for you.
This is Gene Schmidt.
She's a freshman congressperson from Ohio.
And this is from last Friday on the House floor.
She's the one who defeated Paul Hackett in that recent special election in Ohio.
And this is how it happened.
This is how it went down on Friday on the floor of the House.
A few minutes ago, I received a call from Colonel Danny Bopp, Ohio Representative from the 88th District in the House of Representatives.
He asked me to send Congress a message, stay the course.
He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message that cowards cut and run.
Marines never do.
Danny and the rest of America and the world want the insurance from this body because we will screw.
Holy Toledo, folks.
The House will be in order.
The House will be in order.
It will be in order.
Oh, the House was not in order.
It will be an order.
Because somebody, a United States Marine on the floor on the ground in Iraq, had the guts to get a message to the Democrats in the House of Representatives.
Cowards cut and run, Marines never do.
And she prefaces it by saying, I got a message for Congressman Murtha from these people on the ground over there, these people in uniform in Iraq, make no mistake about it.
This kind of stuff offends them.
They are volunteers.
They have not been conscripted.
They've not been set over there against their wishes or against their will.
By the way, I saw a headline when I was gone.
Something about 83,000 detainees so far in the war on terror.
And I thought, well, that's a good start.
Let's keep it going.
Also, I have an AP story today.
In Morocco, two al-Qaeda members have been arrested.
They are former residents of Club Gitmul.
Two former residents of Club Gitmal who were let go have been arrested as part of an al-Qaeda gang.
I think it's either in Pakistan or Morocco.
I've got the story, and I'll dig it up here for you real quick.
But you notice here, folks, here's this Marine who gets his message to his congressperson read on the floor of the house, cowards cut and run.
Marines never do.
All hell broke loose.
I wonder why.
Here are the six present votes.
Jim McDermott, Baghdad Jim, Gerald Nadler from New York, Maurice Hinchy from New York, Sergeant Owens from New York, Michael Capuano of Massachusetts, Capuano, and William Lacey Clay of Missouri.
So those were the Bill Clay, Missouri, Sergeant Owens, Jim McDermott, Gerald Nadler, Michael Capuano, and Maurice Hinchy.
All with guts and conviction voted present, refusing to take a position.
Christopher in Sicily from Italy, welcome, sir.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Good day to you, sir.
Thank you.
Sir, let me please start off by saying thank you.
And Major Dittos from Sigonella Sicily Naval Air Station.
We are honored to have you on the program.
Thank you.
Thank you, sir.
I'm honored to be able to listen to you for the short hour we get over here on AFN News.
Well, an hour is not enough.
No, sir.
Sir, let me please start off by saying what terrible, terrible things that I've heard today hearing that people are bringing you down for this wonderful program that you and the American people have started by offering us a free membership to your program.
And I just, for the life of me, can't think why people would have anything negative to say about that to where you'd be profiting from us getting a free subscription to your program and your Limbo newsletter.
Now, when Disney offered the military free passes again to Disney, was it put out on them that they're trying to make an extra buck off of us?
Or was it that they supported the military and they were just doing a kind thing?
Exactly right.
Well, I think, Christopher, you've partly nailed the reason here.
The people on the left have just a template view of conservatives.
And they're mean, selfish, greedy extremists, racist, sexist, bigot, homophobes, incapable of doing anything nice.
Conservatives don't have hearts.
Conservatives are heartless, cold, and cruel, according to this template.
But besides that, I couldn't care less about that.
What amazes me is the whole every detail of the program was right on my website, and I announced it on this program.
I announced it.
When was it?
It must have been a week ago last Friday or something that I announced the details.
You don't need a password to listen to the program.
don't need a password to read the free side of the website.
And yet people will go where others have mischaracterized what I've said and it gets passed on as truth.
But anyway, Christopher, I hope you've signed up.
I hope you or your family have logged on to the website and registered because we can match you up with a donor in this program.
That way you will not have to be restricted to just one hour of the program on the Armed Forces Network.
I appreciate your call and God bless you for your service.
We'll be back and continue in mere moments.
All right, the first hour is in the can and as always, it'll be going by armored courier to our secret warehouse location where all archive programs are kept for their eventual installation at the Limbaugh Museum of Broadcasting.
We get started in the next hour.
I've got other things I want to get to besides this war business, but I've got a great piece here by Ralph Peters, How to Lose a War, in the New York Post today.
And I want to share with you some of the excerpts from it.
