I do not trust the FBI as far as I can throw them.
Let's roll it.
Do we have that?
Is there improvise?
This is not a terrorist event.
What it is right now is their improvised explosive devices that was found.
And we are working on confirming if this is a viable device or not.
As Chief Kirkpatrick said, we're asking everyone to stay away from Bourbon Street, specifically from Canal Street to St. Anne.
That is my ask.
Once again, stay away from Bourbon Street, Canal Street.
All the way to St. Anne until we can figure out what is going on.
Our goal is to provide you additional information at the 11 a.m.
press conference.
Thank you so much and we will be in touch.
Yes, I will say that we want our community and our visitors to continue enjoying.
There's so much to enjoy about New Orleans and we are going to...
Make sure that our routes and the Superdome are safe today for the game, and yet we had this tragic event, and we're sorry again to everyone in our community.
But we do want you to go about the day.
As we say, just stay away from Bourbon, okay?
Oh, my Lord.
First off, First off, I wondered at first when I heard the audio, but I hadn't seen the video yet.
I was like, wait a minute.
Did Kareem Jean-Pierre switch jobs?
Is somebody gaslighting us in the FBI? This is not a terrorist.
Excuse me?
This isn't a terrorist attack.
Some guy uses a truck.
And again, I'm sorry.
I don't believe this is a coincidence.
Two electrical vehicles, two guys that, perhaps not at the same time, I don't know yet, but two guys that were in the military, same base.
I don't know.
Both of these guys rent electrical vehicles from Turo, and you have the media.
Listen, don't blame Turo.
It isn't Turo's fault that some evil dudes rented trucks using their app, all right?
So it's not Turo's fault.
Turo's getting a lot of flack.
They shouldn't be getting flack.
I respect what they do.
I got family members that use Turo.
So it's not Turo's fault that some freaking terrorists took advantage of this rental car.
It could have been anybody.
It could have been Hertz.
It could have been whatever.
They just...
I thought that Turo was a little more convenient.
You have the owner that brings a car right to you, parks it right where you want at the airport.
You take the car.
You go where you want to go.
And that's exactly what happened in both of these scenarios.
And it's just odd that these guys, electric vehicles, Turo, same face.
I don't know.
Not a terrorist attack.
I don't know.
Like me, you know, I'm no genius.
But I'm thinking, I don't know.
A dude runs down a bunch of people at 3 something a.m.
in the morning and he has an ISIS flag in his truck.
Huh.
Terrorists, not terrorists.
Come on, man.
Come on, man.
Stop this gaslighting bullcrap.
That's why no one trusts the FBI anymore.
This institution has turned into a complete and utter joke.
If you want to make people feel safe, be transparent.
Be real.
You could even say, you could be somewhat diplomatic.
This appears to be a terrorist attack.
However...
We do not have enough information as of yet to be definitive.
This could be a, you know, a Lone Ranger.
There could be more people involved.
We don't know yet, but as soon as we get that information, we're going to get it to you because we want to make sure you stay safe.
You had Senator Kennedy said he came out, and I forgot to get that video, but he was like, listen, I'm going to make sure they come out and they tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
