It is Thursday, September 16th, and it's the Dennis Prager Show.
Glad you are here.
My job is to make you okay that I'm here.
It's the quandary, the conundrum of the fill-in host.
But hey, we've done so much time together, there's a certain residual level of familiarity.
It's Mark Davis, your DFW talk show buddy.
Happy morning show host here at 660 AM. The answer.
And the Salem Media Group's proud North Texas property.
And as I always do when I get to fill in for Dennis, who's off just today, he'll be back tomorrow.
The best show prep in the world is doing my own program.
And I'm fresh off that exercise today.
And man, did we go around the block a few times about General Milley.
And we're going to do that with you.
1-8-PRAGER-776.
What is with this guy?
Is it fair or not?
Or unfair that so many people are just presuming that the book from which this story of his treachery comes, the book is called Peril by Bob Woodward, so there's a little bit of an asterisk there, and Robert Costa.
Costa is one of the best reporters working.
And Woodward, you know, I know a lot of people kind of shrug and go, yeah, well, it's Bob Woodward.
Yeah, but it's Bob Woodward.
I mean, the dude's been writing books for half a century, and the vast, vast majority of even his more creative narratives have stood the test of time.
Woodward does not rest on some discredited ash heap of people who make stuff up.
Plenty of authors are to be found there.
Woodward, not generally one of them.
But there are other reasons why I am lending credibility.
To the Millie, China, treasonous, treacherous, attach-your-own-adjective phone call.
And I'll share a little bit of detail about why that is.
And you may agree or differ or anything in between at 1-8-Prager-776.
1-8-Prager-776.
As the official space dork of talk radio locally and nationally, we've got these four folks.
Circling the globe, like right now, they've been up there since about 6, 7 o'clock in my time.
I'm in Central Time.
And it's just remarkable.
There's not an astronaut in there.
There's like four private citizens.
Now, they didn't go drag them off the street and say, you're going tomorrow.
There was a bunch of training, a bunch of familiarity, and a bunch of, you know, a prep that went into this.
It's called Inspiration4, and I am mightily inspired by it.
I am a grizzled veteran of the days when only astronauts went, and even our scientists or our payload specialists in the shuttle, you know, they weren't fighter pilots, but they were certainly trained in the NASA astronaut program.
Ain't none of these people got that training.
One of them ponied up a couple hundred mil, I don't know.
And a lot of it goes to St. Jude, a lot of it goes to charity, and that's great.
People are talking about it ushering in the era of space too.
It probably does.
And everybody asks me, because I've been geeked out on this since I'm 10, if not longer, actually.
Hey, Mark, would you want to go?
Okay, if I'm 25 and single, absolutely.
But I'm 63, and I have a wife.
And two kids, and I can't die right now.
That would really be bad.
So I will leave it to others.
Not that I would expect to perish, but as I watched this thing last night, and I don't know, is this shuttle challenger syndrome, which is January of 1986?
Shuttle Columbia syndrome, which disintegrated over my house.
In the skies of Texas 15 years later.
Bad things don't happen so often.
They really don't.
But every once in a while they do.
And as I watch these four souls strapped into the top of this bomb for this SpaceX launch last night, how many millions of pounds of volatile stuff is crammed into that thing so that they can reach 17,000 miles an hour and reach orbit?
So, it's funny.
Everybody thinks that if somebody places the phone call on the air here in the Dennis Prager Show and offers me the chance to go, I would totally have to think about it.
And would ultimately decline.
Because I can't die right now.
That would just really, really be bad.
Got a wife I love, kids I love, a job I love, and what would happen if Dennis takes the day off?
I mean, I've got considerations here.
Hey, speaking of hosts here on the Salem Radio Network, do you know, do you know what happens one hour from now?
I've stumbled across a pretty great moment in radio.
And obviously among the things we'll talk about today is the California recall.
It didn't exactly go the way I wanted.
Didn't exactly go the way you wanted if you were a conservative.
Didn't exactly go the way Larry Elder wanted.
So what are Larry's thoughts?
What are his takeaways?
What's he going to do now?
Is he back on the air today?
I don't think so.
Tomorrow?
I mean, I'm a huge Carl Jackson fan.
I think he's doing a fantastic job.
He's been filling in for Larry ever since Larry hit the campaign trail because he can't exactly run for governor and do a talk show at the same time.
Okay, he's not going to be governor of California just yet.
So, right back to radio or other political things?
Someone should ask Larry about this.
I will in about 55 minutes because he will be our guest for his first post-election interview.
That seems fitting right here on the company that employs him.
Seems like that's a good fit, doesn't it?
And I'm just stoked because Larry's been a friend of mine for a long time and I can't wait.
So what next for Larry?
We'll ask Larry.
And that'll be one hour from now.
The first segment coming out of the next hour.
You follow me on Twitter, at Mark Davis, M-A-R-K Davis.
And, okay, that's about it for the housekeeping and the things that I envision.
Boy, can I throw one other?
This is big.
It's heavy.
I think I want to do it today.
Because one of the great things about the show that I do locally and about when I have the enormous privilege of showing up and doing the Dennis Prager show is Whether it is some breaking news story or something that is political, nuts and bolts, and the deep weeds of ideology and policy, and I love all of that.
But sometimes it's just time to do really broad, conceptual, theoretical stuff, as Dennis does in The Ultimate Issues Hour, right?
Well, I knock out an Ultimate Issues Hour, like, at will, three, four times a week, when it just occurs to me that there's some broad thing that we need to talk about.
So, get ready for the heavy lifting, because, and I might start to put my toe in the pool of this very first hour, or I may wait until after Larry's come and gone.
Of course, after Larry's here, we may have some stuff to talk about there.
Here you go.
You ready?
Here you go.
Here in my state of Texas, and by the way...
The parade never ends here in Texas.
Aren't we really, like, the most news-making state?
I know California had the recall election.
I know.
Florida has, I don't know, the likely next president of the United States.
That'd be fine by me in DeSantis.
And those are huge.
But here in Texas, doggone it, man.
Heartbeat bill, constitutional carry, voter security that everybody says is voter suppression, which it's not.
And it's like Texas cranks out something like every three days that makes national news.
Well, our heartbeat law is creating quite the national stir, because a lot of people think that it is a big step toward the overturning of Roe v.
Wade.
Now, I know I've gone through this with you guys before about Roe v.
Wade, how it absolutely must be overturned, not because I'm pro-life or because the justices need to be conservative or anything like that.
I don't care about the personal politics of any justice.
I care about fidelity to the Constitution.
Get it?
I don't need the Supreme Court to do my political bidding.
I need the Supreme Court to obey the Constitution, and there is no right to abortion in the Constitution, hence Roe v.
Wade.
Was invalid when ruled upon in 1973. Remains invalid to this day, and it must go.
I think we're on the way to that.
And so, can we count on John Roberts?
I don't know.
I know we can count on Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.
Can we count on Kavanaugh and Gorsuch?
I hope.
But on the way there, along comes some states that pass some laws, and ours in Texas is now one of them with the heartbeat law.
Past six weeks, Can't terminate that pregnancy.
And we've gone about it in a crafty fashion.
It's not the state has, like, abortion police.
It's like, you know, pull over, we realize what you've just done, and you and the doctor are going to jail.
No, it's like civil suits, where if you're aware of something, you can, like, file a suit against somebody.
Some people like that, some people don't.
But it's created a bunch of discussion of the rape and incest exception.
There's an enormous misunderstanding about what that means morally.
How that goes.
What you must believe if you are indeed pro-life.
So, I'll go through that briefly with you next.
Start to take some calls.
Give you my general Millie logic and more.

Israel is getting ready for their fourth jab.
Now, some people, this is how dishonest the media is, they say, well, Israel in the last couple days, they've seen their rates go down.
Now, why do you think that COVID rates would be going down in Israel the last couple days?
Anybody?
Is it because of the vaccine?
Masks?
No.
It's because of the high holidays, okay?
People are staying at home and they're not going out and they're not working and they're not congregating.
So they've locked down the country through basically pseudo-religious mandate.
Israel and Sweden, if you look at the seven-day rolling average of new cases per 100,000, Sweden, on this chart that has been published, is right around 10%.
Israel has far exceeded 100%, and in fact, there are more cases right now happening in America and the Western world than there were a year ago.
And a very basic question should be, is the vaccine helping or is it hurting?
What's the answer to that question?
Why is it that rates keep on going up the more vaccinated we are?
Well, Israel is the only country in the world that gives the third vaccination to everyone at ages 12 plus.
A COVID passport is required for 12 plus.
And by the way, let me just say, I'm a lover of Israel and Jerusalem.
I don't know if I'm ever going back to Israel.
I don't.
I said this to one of my friends the other day who runs a great project there.
He said, oh, you'll be coming back.
I said, I don't know if I'll be welcome in Israel because I'm not getting vaccinated and I'm not doing any of this stuff.

Hey, let's go to the movies.
Warner Brothers Pictures presents Cry Macho from Clint Eastwood.
Yes.
Clint Eastwood.
How legendary can a guy be?
This comes the story of being lost and found.
Clint is back as a one-time rodeo star, kind of a washed-up horse breeder, takes a job to bring back his ex-boss's young son from Mexico.
They form an unlikely pair and face an unexpectedly challenging journey home.
And the only road home is through redemption.
Cry Macho.
Clint, how awesome is this?
It is in theaters and on HBO Max for 31 days.
Check it out.
Rated PG-13.
May be inappropriate for children under 13. Okay, so, the rape and incest exception.
How many times have you heard somebody say, how many times have you heard a politician say, well, I'm pro-life, and as far as I'm concerned, let's outlaw all abortion, except for rape and incest.
Okay.
That is not a pro-life politician.
You are not a pro-life person if you say that.
Here's where the heavy lifting begins.
You know, it is not an easy thing.
It is a sobering thing.
It is a thing of great gravity to address, shall we say, the community of people who have been victims of rape and incest and say, guess what?
It is immoral for you to terminate.
That pregnancy.
It just is.
But I've been raped, they'll say.
I understand.
And I'll never walk in those shoes.
Obviously, the shoes of a rape victim are the shoes of a pregnant person.
I get that.
But unlike what Jen Psaki might tell you on a given day, men get to weigh in on this, too, because it is, in fact, a human life issue and not just a women's issue.
And here's the bottom line.
That newly created life, no matter its circumstance, is either sacred, Or it's not.
The basis of all pro-life-ness is that the unborn human life is sacred.
Not just a thing that's kind of of some value and a thing we'd like to preserve if, you know, there's no inconveniences or no bad circumstance.
Sacred.
Sacred means sacred.
You either believe that or you don't.
If you believe that abortion becomes okay if there's rape and incest, then you don't believe in the sacredness of human life.
Of that unborn human life.
And you are thus, ready, pro-choice.
You may not be as radically pro-choice as somebody who says that abortion is okay if you just don't want a fifth kid or whatever, but you are nonetheless pro-choice.
The definition of pro-life requires the definition of that unborn human life as sacred.
And if it is, neither rape nor incest changes that.
Got a big refresher course on that this morning.
Had a woman named Jennifer Christie on the show.
She's coming to DFW to do an event.
And she has a website called lovelouder.com or org.
I'll look it up here in a minute.
Love Louder.
Her name is Jennifer Christie.
And she has a seven-year-old boy who many of you think should not exist if you had that rape and incest exception banging around in your head.
And I asked her, because it's the question everybody always asks, how do you look at that boy and not think of the man who did this horrible thing to you?
And she said, well, I worried, like, on the delivery table, you know, would I see this child and just instantly be taken back to that horrible moment, and it just didn't happen.
And every moment that I love my son, every moment that I love my son, and thank you, Sean, he says it, love louder, com or org work.
Every moment that I've enjoyed my son.
From his first month of life, his first year, his second, his third, his fourth, his fifth, his sixth, he turns seven here in a week.
Of course I don't think about what happened to me.
I think about the gift that he is despite what happened to me.
I think about the love of God who remains in control.
And that's what rules the day.
Every day.
So, while we're on that subject, it's what I do at the beginning of each local show.
So, hey, if people are nice enough to let me be a guest around here, I'll bring this practice into here as well.
As we get ready to tackle a bunch of topics, I haven't even gotten a General Millie yet, I will.
But Lord, guide us and protect us as we face the challenges of each new day.
We thank you every day for this blessed nation and your hand in creating it.
Please fill our hearts with the energy to protect the freedoms which come from you.
Which our nation was founded to protect.
Speaking of protection, Lord, protect and watch over our fellow Americans trapped in Afghanistan.
And Lord, be with us as we try to chart a course out of this COVID nightmare.
Help us to be smart and safe as we reclaim our lives.
Guide us to fight for our liberties within the law and by following your law.
Let us navigate these troubling times with a positive spirit, treating others as we would want to be treated.
Lord, these are times of trial and challenge.
Lift us as we follow your word and work for a better America, where our Constitution is honored, our elections are reliable, our borders work, where we fight for the unborn, and where our differences are hashed out with honesty and goodwill, and our freedoms of speech and worship are protected.
As we face each day's problems, give us the clarity to look around and cherish our many blessings in our nation, our communities, and our families.
If we follow you, Lord, we know we can get through anything.
We ask these things in your holy name.
Amen.
All right, before I get to yammering about other things, let's hop to the calls.
We're in Chatsworth, California.
TJ, Mark Davison.
For Dennis, how you doing?
Hi, Mark.
It's C as in Charles.
Sorry about that.
TJ, CJ, nice to have you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I was going to say about the stolen elections, you know, a lot of us believe that the Democrats accuse us of what they're doing so that we'll look the other way.
And back in 2016, when Hillary won the election, it would have been wrong of us to rub her nose in it because Trump won.
But now that we're to the point...
Where Trump loses to Biden, and many of us believe he did not, and California, the Secretary of State here was appointed by the guy we were recalling.
It's time now that we get active.
No doubt, and the good news is I sense that activity all over the place in anticipation of 22 and 24. The gentleman's reference to Hillary is spectacular because when you talk about suggestions that the election just didn't go right, Hillary was the master of that through 2017, 2018, 2019. I think in the most timely interview that she agreed to, it was like October of 2020, a month before the election.
And she was waxing nostalgic about her loss, which I often do as well because it's one of my recent pleasant memories, and says, how do you win by three million votes, like I did, she says, and not think that something was squirrely?
Really, ma'am?
Really?
So this notion that the Trump suggestion of mischief, fraud, whatever, is some shockingly new thing.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Just about everybody that's ever lost an election thinks that something went wrong.
All right.

And the Congress is going to get to the bottom of what was, in retrospect, probably one of the worst mistakes of the last three months, which is abandoning our secure airbase with a significant perimeter to protect against the exact kind of suicide bombing that claimed 13 American lives.
Now, I know an individual in General Milley's circle.
And I am told exactly what you just said.
They would not lift the cap on the troops.
But my advice to this individual was tell everyone you can to get a story straight, a timeline down, and every supporting document in one binder so that you do not have to change your story on timing or detail even once or you'll have Benghazi on your hands.
And I believe that the Pentagon would be well served to over...
What's your advice to the Pentagon, Senator, on how to respond to the queries, which will never stop until we have a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute timeline and document supporting a decision tree here?
Well, that's sound advice not only to the Pentagon but to anyone in the administration.
Look, Congress is not just going to move on from this fiasco.
We're going to get to the bottom of what happened.
Then if the Democratic Congress right now won't do it, then we'll get to the bottom of it in early 2023, once Republicans have won back control of the Congress.
Not just the Pentagon, but anyone who is involved in this needs to understand that Congress and the American people are going to insist upon answers, and they need to have those answers ready, and they need to be documented and demonstrated with evidence.

Ah, the plight of General Milley, and I don't really mean his plight, I mean ours for having to endure another story of Trump hating paranoia.
A detail or two here in just a second.
Let me hop back to the calls.
A lot of calls on a lot of things.
We are in Minneapolis.
David, Mark Davis in for Dennis.
How are you?
I am fine.
Nice to have you.
Yeah, regarding your conversation about the rape and incest exception for abortion, I think if there's a death penalty for that, it should be for the guilty and not the innocent.
But yet we think we can take care of the innocent.
So, that's my only comment.
Well, incest is certainly not a death penalty offense anywhere, and I think there might only be two or three states where rape is.
There's a long history of problems with that, of it being racist.
But there are more problems with killing the baby.
Oh, no doubt.
I mean, because that's the obvious extinguishing of a human life, to be sure.
So I'm saying, if we are going to do it, then it should be for the guilty and not the innocent.
And there's a big if there.
Yeah, there is.
You've taken me into another thing that I'm fascinated by in jurisprudence, and thanks, David, and that is what should we have the death penalty for?
Man, maybe it's time for a roundtable on that.
I'm in Texas.
Please, throughout history, we use the death penalty with such regularity that you can see the line move.
And that is so 20 years ago.
Now we're all stove up and, you know, all kinds of delays and doubts.
And some of them are with good reason.
Procedurally, people wonder about the drug cocktail that gets used in Huntsville, where our death row is, every once in a while.
You'll have one of those pesky cases where somebody winds up in prison for 30 years for something, and then along comes, what do they call it, the Innocence Project?
God bless these guys, like modern DNA evidence.
Whoops, you know, Mr. Johnson didn't do it, and they let this guy out.
And you see these stories, and they're just thrilled, obviously.
It's kind of funny.
I always wonder if you're in jail for something for 30 years and you didn't do it.
And they finally go, oh, wow, sorry.
Is there egg on our face?
Wow, we are so embarrassed.
You're free to go.
What would rule the day?
Your joy at the freedom that you would long for and deserve for three decades?
Or your unbelievable, bitter, soul-searing anger at the people who did this to you?
I don't know.
I'd like to think that the grace would wash over me and I'd be pretty upbeat about it.
But left in a quiet moment and be like, really?
Really?
But I will tell you, down to the last person, every time I've seen this happen, ultimately I think you're just so doggone glad to be out hugging family members and going to the restaurant of your choice that that kind of swallows up the retroactive bitterness.
Because it ultimately comes down to what can you do something about.
You're out.
Can't do anything about the...
And they usually write pretty massive checks to people, don't they, who've had this happen, which they should.
Anyway, though, the point being, what should there be a death penalty for?
I'm an enormous believer in the death penalty.
It is scriptural.
It is symmetrical.
In fact, it is because human life is sacred that we take yours if you kill somebody.
As a conservative, you ever have somebody walk out, are you pro-life?
Yeah.
Are you for the death penalty?
Yeah.
I thought you were pro-life.
Well, I am.
It is innocent life that is sacred.
Innocent life that is sacred.
That's the scriptural precept.
Death penalty is all over the Bible, please.
And by the way, there's zero evidence that Jesus opposed it.
So stop with that nonsense.
So I will always be an enormous supporter.
Of the death penalty.
Now, as soon as people start bringing up, you know, rape or anything else, well, we ought to kill people for that, too.
I'm certainly an enormous fan of putting rapists in prison, locking them up and throwing away the key.
Forever.
I mean, forever.
Not this Sirhan Sirhan, it was 50 years ago, let me out.
Oh, dude, what is that even about?

I really, I have to control myself, Jenna.
Because in the last five to ten years, I think it's fair to say, empirically, that there's been an amazing shift, a sea change.
In American attitudes to abortion, and especially in the youth, in the under-30s, who understand, they follow the science, they understand that this is a human being inside a mother's womb.
I don't want to get carried away with myself, but how important...
You are, you've taught constitutional law, you're a practicing lawyer.
How important, how significant is the SCOTUS decision and the signing into effect of the new heartbeat law in Texas?
It's very significant.
And even though this was simply a denial of an emergency application to stay the law, it shows that the Supreme Court is no longer reflexively protecting abortion as a so-called right.
And that's what is the most important part of this decision.
The Supreme Court said that they were not ruling on the merits of the issue.
Of course, it will be litigated.
But what they're saying here is that no longer will an activist majority simply say, sorry states, you don't have a compelling interest to protect unborn life.
And so for all of us who understand actual science and who have seen the science, who see the strides that we have made and showing how heart beats.
Or about five to six weeks after conception.

That means 44% are approving of his job as the president and 51% disapprove.
So this is a major slide.
A generic Republican on the ballot at this time would lead in all seven districts going up against the Democrat incumbents by six percentage points on average.
So Carl, the elections are so far away.
Why are you worried about this or why are you talking about this now?
Polls don't matter.
Polls do matter.
It doesn't matter the Democrats.
Unfortunately, I feel like Republicans are starting to do the same.
Republicans have...
This is Mark Davis in Big DFW, here at the studios of 660 AM, the answer, where I do the morning show each day.
And where, on really special days, I finish my own show, and then I get to do another one.
The Dennis Prager Show, which is absolutely fantastic.
I also, every once in a while, fill in for Hugh Hewitt.
Sometimes fill in for Larry Elder.
And I guess maybe we'll find out here in a few minutes if I'm about to start doing that again.
Is Larry back on the radio pretty soon?
I mean, it seems like his days are a little freer than they were a couple of weeks ago.
Oh, would that his days were filled.
With being governor of California.
That's what I wanted.
That's what he wanted.
We will talk to Larry right out of the box next hour.
So be here at the beginning of next hour.
It is, in fact, his first post-recall election interview, and we're very glad to be here.
We, as a company, and the Dennis Prager team are happy to do that, and just I personally am glad to be able to do that.
Larry joins us beginning of next hour.
All right, so I guess on the whole point of the death penalty and what lives are sacred and which are not, it is if soon as you commit a murder, then you become a golden candidate for the death penalty because innocent life is sacred.
Anybody walking around saying all life is sacred, that too is moral idiocy, because obviously if somebody's coming at my wife with a machete, his life is not sacred.
In a just war, you know, Hitler's troops, their lives were not sacred.
Copy that?
You following me here?
You feeling me?
Alrighty, 1-8 Prager-776.
We are in Chicago.
John, Mark Davison for Dennis.
Welcome.
How are you?
Hello, Mark.
It's a pleasure to talk to you again.
Howdy.
I always like calling in when you host because, to be honest, I find you to be a little more personable than Mr. Prager.
Wow, now stop that.
Just cut that out.
You're very kind.
Okay.
I wanted to ask you about the Texas abortion law, and I wasn't listening, and so maybe you already made it clear.
I don't know your position.
Do you support the law as it is written with no exceptions for rape?
Of course I do.
You do.
Okay.
So let me ask you this question, then.
Since you and the state of Texas think a 13-year-old rape victim should be forced by the state to give birth to her rapist state...
Stop, stop right there.
False presumption.
John, stop, stop.
False presumption, John.
False presumption is the easy index card for you folks.
Six weeks means six weeks.
If someone is a victim of rape, they got six weeks.
If indeed that is the decision, the option they seek to follow...
And my position is it is not the moral thing to do, but people can differ about that.
And within those six weeks, people may do whatever they wish, whether I approve or not.
So, no more this nonsense about forcing anyone to bring a child of rape to term.
Okay?
Okay, but after that six weeks, if a 13-year-old rape victim who has been...
Shamed, wounded, maybe abused by family members.
John, stop doubling down.
Just stop it.
Just stop it.
Six weeks, you got the six weeks.
So just stop that.
Okay, so you're saying that there's no circumstances under which a 13-year-old girl might wait six weeks before confronting the fact that she's become pregnant through rape.
It could never happen.
That's what you're saying.
I'm saying you got six weeks, and the highly advisable thing is to take advantage of those six weeks.
So if a 13-year-old girl doesn't have the wherewithal to confront her pregnancy from rape in six weeks...
Of course she does.
What do you mean doesn't have the wherewithal?
What does that mean?
What does that mean?
Describe a situation in which that happens.
The world stands ready to take care of this 13-year-old girl.
But you're making crap up, John.
I hate to lose my personal regard, but you're making crap up.
I'm sorry you're so afraid of what I have to say.
I'm not.
It's just what you're saying is preposterous.
It's preposterous.
It will never happen.
You won't let me speak, sir.
Knock yourself out.
Go ahead.
Can I actually speak?
Well, we'll find out.
Unlike you, unlike you, sir, I don't have any problem imagining a scenario in which an abused child waits more than six weeks to confront the fact she's become impregnated.
Maybe you can't imagine that.
Let's go somewhere productive, because I totally know where you're going.
Yes, I can.
We totally understand each other.
Let's go where you're going, because this is where we'll eventually go.
Here's where we'll eventually go.
What a moron.
I got it, dude.
There goes my personable card.
But I'm going to take you where you were going to go anyway, because that was just ridiculous wheel spinning.
And here's the thing that the gentleman and I, gentlemen, we're going to differ about.
He believes there is a circumstance so desperate and so compelling and so whatever adjective you wish, that the human life is expendable even after six weeks.
I don't believe the human life is expendable at any point.
At any point.
And he can drag scenarios of 13-year-old victims up and down the street all day, thinking at some point I'm going to go, oh gosh, John, you're right!
Oh, I'm so sorry how wrong I've been!
Oh my gosh, of course!
You're right, if it's bad enough, shocking enough, unfortunate enough, horrific enough, you're right, the human life thus created becomes something that it's morally okay to extinguish.
So, John, if you'd have the guts to stick around, you could respond to that premise.
Because you think it is, I think it's not.
And there we would be.
And there we are.
And now here's the thing.
John is under no obligation to feel that way because he's not pro-life.
I am.
And my whole point about bringing this up is that if you are, then you have to feel that way too.
Because if you're walking around with the moral idiocy of, human life is sacred, but not in rape and incest it's not, that is a fool's errand.
That is what an uncourageous pro-choicer says.
If you are indeed pro-choice, have the guts to say so.
Do not walk around and try to tell me, or anybody else, and a ton of elected officials try to do this, or they'll try to do this all day.
Try to tap dance around it and play both sides against the middle.
Oh, I'm totally pro-life.
Rape and incest?
Oh, no, not rape and incest.
Well, guess what?
Then you're not pro-life.
You are pro-choice.
And again, why?
I'll wrap this up.
We don't need to do three hours of this.
Because the human life, newly created, irrespective of the circumstance, is either sacred or it's not.
If it's not, then it's not in the case of rape and incest.
It's not if somebody doesn't want a fourth kid.
It's not if it's inconvenient.
It's not if you're 17 and unmarried.
If it's not, it's not.
But if it is, it is.
Make sense?
Hope it does.
Doesn't mean you have to agree with me.
As Dennis often says, may not be agreement, but there's clarity.

I don't want to get carried away with myself, but how important...
You are, you've taught constitutional law, you're a practicing lawyer.
How important, how significant is...
the SCOTUS decision and the signing into effect of the new heartbeat law in Texas?
It's very significant.
And even though this was simply a denial of an emergency application to stay the law, it shows that the Supreme Court is no longer reflexively protecting abortion as a so-called right.
And that's what is the most important part of this decision.
The Supreme Court said that they were not ruling on the merits of the issue.
Of course, it will be litigated further on the merits and potentially wind its way up back to the Supreme Court.
But what they're saying here is that no longer will an activist majority simply say, sorry, states, you don't have a compelling interest to protect unborn life.

It's kind of funny.
If somebody calls me and says, Yeah, Mark, I think this Biden presidency is going great.
Wow, okay, I'm going to really disagree, but we'll talk about it and whatever.
But if somebody calls up and says, hey, Mark, 2 plus 2 equals 5, stop!
No!
Okay, I mean, that's just a factual, you know, backstop, and we just can't proceed.
This notion of people being forced to carry, you know, babies to term after rape in the Texas heartbeat law, just not the case.
Alrighty, we are in Madison, Wisconsin.
Veronica, hey, Mark Davison for Dennis, welcome.
How are you?
I'm good, Mark.
How are you?
Great.
Thanks for calling.
So I had read an article probably about six months ago disputing the whole argument of what about rape.
Look at it from the vision or the side of the child who is going to grow up into a productive human being and potentially become a great member of society.
Of course.
The article I had read...
It was all about how this child was adopted out after the rape.
The mother actually had the child, gave the baby up for adoption, raised, and in the teen years found out that they were the product of a rape and went on to be a very well-liked, community-minded, wonderful human being.
Excellent.
What are we losing by getting rid of and destroying human life?
I know.
And it's funny you talk about something.
Listen, I have such love and gratitude for a woman who brings the child to term, offers the child up for adoption, because, again, that is choosing life.
Any way in which you choose life is exactly the thing to do.
In the case of Jennifer Christie, she's raising the child.
That kid's in her house.
And she is thankful to God for her son every day.
Of course she is.
We're in West Virginia.
Missy, hey, Mark Davison for Dennis, how are you?
Hi, thanks for taking my call.
I have a couple questions that I hope that you can answer for me.
Sure.
So the resident, not the president, the resident wants to mandate the vaccine.
And my question to that is, I'm a believer, so I have questions, and I believe this is everything answered.
332 million people over the past 18 months have not died of COVID. Why do I need a vaccine?
Because a whole lot of people have.
Because a whole lot of people have.
I mean, how many millions of people are not dying of car accidents?
Does that mean you shouldn't wear a seatbelt?
So please, what's the next one?
Got about 20 seconds.
No, and that's fine, and I totally understand that.
Good.
But the issue is that of the people who have died of it, 98% of them have comorbidities.
No, exactly.
Oh, totally right.

But Biden is taking a hit, and Democrats are trying to stay clear from him.
The caller in the last hour said, where's Kamala?
Kamala is doing her best to stay clear of Joe Biden.
I mean, her polls stink, but combined...
The both of them combined, I guess it's extra stinky together, because both of them stink.
And the funny thing is, her polls are worse than his, and she wants to be nowhere near this cat.
But people are finding out that this Build Back Better thing is a socialist agenda, and the $3.5 trillion partisan wish list that the Democrats are wanting is starting to turn people off, because people are starting to realize that the economic pain is going to be felt at home.

What a delicious sort of disconnect this is.
It's the Dennis Prager Show, but he's not hosting it.
I am.
Hi, Mark Davis, fill-in guy.
And yet the music seems reminiscent of some other show on the network, oh yeah, the Larry Elder program, from which Larry has been on a bit of a sabbatical, been going at some very, very important business over the last few weeks, making all of us so very, very proud.
Now, the California recall did not go the way I wanted.
Didn't go the way Larry wanted.
But there are so many positive takeaways.
But listen, I won't bore you with mine.
Let's find out about his after decompressing a bit.
And he has a statement that we'll parse and diagram most sentences here in a minute.
But what a pleasure to welcome.
My friend, my hero, an incredible figure, already was, but now just another chapter in the amazing biography of Larry Elder.
Larry, welcome to the Dennis Prager Show, and I'm so glad to be hosting it and so glad to tell you personally how proud I am of everything you've done.
Welcome.
Well, Mark, thank you so much for that.
I'm hearing that from a lot of people, a lot of friends, a lot of people that feel that I ran a noble race and I stuck to the issues that I ran credibly.
I can tell you how moved I am by that.
I was asked many times, do I regret anything?
Not one moment, not one thing I've said or done did I regret.
So, going into it, the calculus that I made is that you inspired a ton of conservatives.
You inspired a ton of people who wondered if leadership could ever change in California.
The odd pendulum swing was that the force and the success of your campaign, you were so out there, so eloquent, so important that you might well have energized a whole lot of Democrats who don't give a flip about Gavin Newsom, but they were scared to death of you.
Well, that's right.
If you look at Gavin Newsom's commercials, when you run, Mark, you gain weight, you lose your voice.
I understand.
Republican takeover, Republican takeover.
Larry Elder is more Trump than Trump.
Not one word about the rise in crime, which has gotten tremendously high.
Not one word about the rise in the cost of living, the average price of a home in California.
Just hit $800,000, 150% higher than the national average.
Nothing about the way this man shut down the economy, shut down schools.
His own kids were enjoying in-person education.
He's up there at the French Laundry restaurant, incurring a $12,000 wine, Ted, that we paid for.
And Mark, I don't know that much about wine.
All I know is I doubt he was drinking Mad Dog 2020. Not one word about the rise in homelessness.
Not one word about the ridiculous way he failed to manage our forest fires where they've gotten more deadly.
Nothing about the fact that we're running out of water in California.
Nothing about the rolling brownouts, which are necessary because we're failing to properly invest in our energy grid.
Nothing about any of the issues I talked about.
I, of course, challenge him to a debate.
He refused to debate me.
It was all about a Republican takeover.
When you consider about a quarter to a third of the people that signed the petition were independent and Democrats who voted for him just two years earlier, 63 percent of Hispanics voted for him two years earlier, Mark.
The majority of Hispanics wanted him gone.
The majority of independents wanted him gone, but he was able to successfully characterize it as a, quote, Republican takeover, close quote, outspend me six to one.
And the margin of defeat was far, far bigger than I ever suspected.
On the other hand, my margin of victory over my opponents to replace this guy was stunning.
The highest I ever saw was I had about 23 percent.
My closest rival maybe 10 or 11 percent.
I ended up getting 47 percent.
The closest rival was a Democrat who got 9 or 10 percent, and then the other Republican got about 9 percent.
Even though these guys were running a longer time, John Cox ran against him the first time, ran against him again this time, spent probably collectively in the Maybe $20 million of his own money ended up getting single digits.
So now, among people who love and admire you and wanted you to win and have loved your career and wonder what you're going to do next, to the people who are scared to death of you, we all have a similar question.
What's next for Larry Elder?
Are you soon to return to radio?
Or has this given you a thought that maybe there are a couple of other bases to touch before heading back to the microphone?
Well, I was talking with Phil Boyce, our boss, just a few hours ago.
I didn't think it was going to hurt this much to lose.
I didn't think I was going to enjoy running as much as I did.
And when I lost, that didn't occur to me.
It didn't hit me until the next morning when I was thanking my campaign staff.
And all of a sudden, I started crying.
I didn't think that was going to happen.
So I was thinking about Bob Dole.
And Bob Dole lost in 1996, wasn't it?
Correct.
George McGovern, who got slaughtered in 1972. And he asked George McGovern, when did it stop hurting?
And George McGovern said, I'll let you know when it's going to happen.
So, you know, you put everything out.
You raise money.
The best, most optimistic projection was that Elder might raise $10 million.
I raised $20 million.
And you do everything you can.
I hit every mark.
I didn't lose a day.
My voice got a little raspy, but it got stronger and stronger near the end.
I hit every interview.
I hit every fundraiser.
I hit every rally.
My campaign manager was very experienced.
He's never seen a politician work this hard.
So I left everything out, and you still get creamed.
It hurts.
I can imagine.
And there's something about having 2.3 million people vote for you.
There is something about that.
It wraps around your heart and makes you think, okay, how can I serve these people best?
I have, just as a suggestion, purely selfish motive, get back to the show as soon as you're comfortable and consider your options while doing shows talking about them.
That's a very good idea, and of course, obviously, I've considered that.
That's probably the first thing that I intend to do.
But I've got to tell you, Mark, it is just so disturbing.
We're outnumbered here in California two to one.
And was I lying when I said the average price of a home hit $800,000?
No, no.
Was I lying when I said crime has gotten up 41% shootings and homicides here in L.A.?
Was I lying when I said this man released 20,000 convicted felons?
And based upon history, the majority of them are likely to reaffind.
Was I lying when I said kids before the pandemic, Mark, half of our third graders could not read at state levels of proficiency.
They lost a whole year of in-school education.
And the math scores are even worse.
No, no, right!
Would I lie when I said we've got anywhere between 25 and half of the nation's homeless population, and it's getting worse with our...
You know, nothing I said was challenged on the merits.
It was all Republican takeover, Republican takeover, and they kept showing a picture of me with the former president with both of our thumbs up.
So that's it.
That's it.
That's just why.
The only person less popular in California than Donald Trump is Charlie Manson, and he's dead.
Exactly.
And I think you've answered my very next question.
This is what you have achieved.
This is the glory and the victory within a technical loss.
And it goes like this.
The campaign you ran...
What was an act of genius?
Because you didn't walk around saying, hey, vote for me because I'm conservative and he's liberal.
That's self-evident.
You wound up doing a campaign that was meant to appeal to absolutely everybody.
Your campaign was about homelessness, about the economy, about COVID restrictions, about fire management.
It was about things that people of every political stripe can care about.
And if California is ever to be saved, that's the kind of campaign that will do it.
Might take 30 of them in a row.
Well, I appreciate that.
And, you know, Mark, I was, of course, called the blackface of white supremacy in L.A. Times in particular.
A woman in a gorilla mask, a white woman in a gorilla mask, throws an egg at me.
If that has happened to Barack Obama campaigning, it would be called a hay crime.
They'd be talking about it in Bangladesh.
And, you know, Mark, I've never, ever, ever asked anybody to vote for me because I'm black or to vote against me because I'm black.
I've never made a big deal.
I know a lot of it.
As far as I'm concerned, after Barack Obama became the first black president, everything else is anticlimactic.
But when you want to play that game, New York Times, front-page article about me, negative, of course, never mention that I'm black, never mention that if I were to have won, I would have been the first black governor.
On the very same page, New York Times, big article about, quote, the first female governor of New York, close quote, because she's got a D at the end of her name at the first, because I have an R at the end of my name, I'm no longer black.
It's funny because I retweeted an article, I think it was from Slate, and the headline was, Larry Elder is not going anywhere.
And I said, you know what, the headline is the only thing that's correct, because he's not going anywhere.
Everything that followed was a lie and a smear of you, but I said, I smell their fear.
This is the badge of honor that Larry can wear.
I'm so proud that you're my friend, so proud that you're my co-worker, whether it's on the air, off the air, or anywhere in between.
Just God bless you, and we'll all stay tuned, as you've asked us to do.
Well, you know, Mark, I read the article this morning, and it really is white people.
What it said is, Larry Elder makes white people's racism okay.
Wow!
What do you say about this thing about white people?
Well, we could spend the rest of our lives explaining that, and I am so grateful.
Thanks for hanging out here with us on your first post-election interview.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
I'm so proud of you.
Thank you, Mark.
God bless.

Oh, my goodness me.
So I think I offered a quality suggestion.
If he's sitting there wondering about, gee, what might I do next, that's great.
I totally understand that.
I'm sure it's been an amazing and compelling and life-changing thing.
Why don't you hash out those options while doing the show?
I flesh out all kinds of things doing the show.
Lord knows that's apparent.
So let's get back to that and the various other calls we've been talking about.
Let's talk about Larry and anything else you want.

The Larry Elder Show.
I think I'm ready for Dennis to come back tomorrow.
I know you are, too.
Thanks for hanging out with me patiently.
Mark Davis sitting in from 660 AM, the answer in Dallas-Fort Worth.
And, hey, that was just Larry Elder on the phone.
Shall we psychoanalyze those answers?
Oh, man.
And all I really mean by that is I don't think Larry knows exactly when he's coming back to the radio.
And I don't want to say or if, but let's say when for now.
And as I told him, purely selfishly, and Carl Jackson's done this wonderful job filling in.
It's been great.
But that's the Larry Elder Show and Silly Selfish Me.
I'm interested in the Larry Elder Show hosted by Larry Elder like ASAP. But was this just me sitting in the studio through headphones talking to a guy I've known for a few years?
Or did you get the same feeling that this has I don't want to say changed him, but it has deeply affected him.
There has got to be, well, first of all, having a radio show is one of the coolest things in the world.
Trust me.
Great.
There is something about getting out there, you know, getting out of the radio studio, running for something, having something mean this much to you, and having 2.3 million people vote for you.
Now, the fact that twice that many voted to keep this, sorry, Gavin Newsom, I mean, that's an asterisk, but 2.3 million people walked into a voting location, what is it, 1973?
Filled in their ballots however, whatever cockamamie ways you do that in California, and logged a preference for Larry Elder.
They believed in him.
To change that state.
To make it the golden state once again.
That has to be a humbling, sobering, eye-opening, inspiring thing.
And maybe it makes somebody think, you know, radio's great, but maybe there's some other calling.
So, I don't know.
Whatever he wants to do, I will love him forever.
And support him and wish him great success.
You know what?
I bet that success will come in whatever form.
I think I had the perfect solution, just saying.
Who's with me?
And that is that as Larry explores his many, many options, what he should do is consult with listeners about it every day for about a year and just come back and do the show and we'll talk about it.
You've got plenty of time.
And I'm half kidding, but only half.
So, God bless Larry.
What an amazing effort that was.
Okay, when we finished our last hour, we had, oh man, did we have some matters of great import going on.
Being here in Texas and talking about our heartbeat law.
We're sort of talking about everything from where life begins to the rape and incest exception, which again is moral idiocy if you are pro-life, to various other things going on in the news.
And I've got a bunch of calls, so let me go to these, because they've been waiting during Larry.
And then I really have yet to give you my full sort of opening monologue, but wouldn't be opening now, would it, halfway through the show?
My full monologue on General Milley and what ought to happen there.
But if you want to weigh in on that, you surely may as well.

We are in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Mark, hey, Mark Davis in for Dennis.
Hey, Mark, how are you doing?
I'm great.
Thank you.
You're very kind.
Going back to the abortion thing, I'm torn on this because I was raised Christian, and I hear about...
Conservative people, people on my team, the red team, going out to abortion clinics and chastising the women that are going in to get their abortions.
And my thing is, why are they doing that?
Why?
If you're a Christian and you do something like that, you abort your baby, you can ask for forgiveness, can you not?
Well, of course, but that doesn't mean you should do it ahead of time.
I think there's a caricature in your head of what happens at abortion clinics.
I have enormous familiarity with some of the protests, the activism, the things that happen at abortion clinics.
And this notion of chasing a woman down the street and calling her a baby killer as she goes into the clinic is largely fiction.
It is a loving...
Excuse me, I'll finish.
It is a loving and understanding outreach that seeks in the gentlest of terms to persuade by speaking truth with love rather than badger and hound.
Well, okay, okay.
So sorry, but that's the way it is.
It just doesn't seem right to me.
You're right.
The good news is it's largely not happening.
The good news is that from whatever year somebody gave you an anecdote of someone being cruel and dismissive and badgering some woman who's trying to get an abortion, that is outweighed by 101 by crisis pregnancy centers that do outreach and lovingly, kindly...
Persuade women to choose life.
And that rather than cruelness and coldness, you're right.
That is the way to do it.
The good news is that is virtually unanimously the way that it is done.
We are in Chicago.
Frank, hey, Mark Davis in for Dennis.
How are you doing?
Hi, Mark.
See if you can figure this out.
I know a friend and there's others like him.
Very, very pro-life.
Very Christian.
I asked him, I said, you know, it's nice that you think life is so precious, but the God you believe in, according to the Bible, he's murdering people by the thousands.
He's telling people to murder other people for trivial reasons.
He has no problem with that.
Who's doing that?
What are you talking about?
Well, he believes, you know, in these stories in the Bible where God is killing everybody, and I thought, well, I thought life was so precious.
How can you think that that's okay?
Well, they could probably come to the modern day and find better examples of warfare and a death penalty.
There are all kinds of deaths that happen.
Not every life is sacred.
Right, exactly.
It depends on each story, but I think scripture will yield a reason why God did what he did.
It may not be something that either A, the person you're talking to agrees with, or B, that the human mind can grasp, but whatever it is, there's a reason God did it.
And I think the best answer to that, really, rather than get into a big theological thing with a lot of people who may not be equipped to do that or even want to do that, is to say that the definitions of morality involve innocent life being sacred, and that's the way we operate.
That if somebody is trying to chop your head off in your house at midnight, you can kill them.
In a just war, you can kill somebody.
The unborn is a life worth preserving.
So innocent life is sacred.
Innocent life is sacred.

is the Dennis Prager Show for this Thursday, the 16th day of September.
So we are literally halfway through the program, and I haven't said a word in detail about General Milley because, hey, we had Larry Elder, and we've been talking literally about many life and death issues, and we will continue to do so.
But let me add this layer because I've been, you know, hemming and hawing about it for an hour and a half.
It is a wise and fair thing to do.
To wait for this story to marinate and to learn a little more about it before reaching a really firm and bold conclusion like Millie's got to go like yesterday.
But that's where I find myself.
I think Millie's got to go like yesterday.
So why is that?
Pardon the navel-gazing here, but here's the deal.
I think it's like a law of physics that if someone says something about you that is just reputationally destructive, You will waste no time in getting out there and saying, that's not true.
Why have we not had General Milley saying publicly, you know, rushing towards some microphone, I think my favorite microphone would be on a table at a congressional hearing like tomorrow.
Why have we not had General Milley saying, not only did I not do it, but I would not do it, circumvent the proper authority of the President of the United States and engage in such an act of treachery?
That I go ratting to my Chinese Communist counterpart.
You know, this notion from this book by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa is totally wrong.
I didn't do it.
I never would do it.
That would be horribly wrong.
The minute General Milley comes out and says that, I will adjust my reaction.
But right now my reaction is, he totally did it.
A couple of reasons.
All kinds of guys, and a lot of them military guys.
John Kelly, so-called Mad Dog Mattis.
They got into this White House and they thought they could change Trump.
They thought they were going to lead him around by the nose.
Had they met the man?
They get in there and realize that he's the top dog, he's the alpha male, and they're going to do what he says, and they couldn't handle it, and that didn't work out so well, did it?
Add in Exhibit B. General Milley has revealed a...
A cognitive disconnect of the type that would lead to Trump hatred.
It is liberalism that leads ultimately to the Trump hatred, whether it's from actual Democrats, actual leftists, or some of these Trump-hating malcontents in Never Trump and etc., etc.
The critical race theory affinity of General Milley, remember a few weeks ago?
Oh, I want to explore white rage.
What?
And I think all the soldiers and sailors and all these folks, you know, the Coast Guard and Space Force, presumably, I don't know, they all need to be conversant in these battles that are taking place in our own country.
You know, so in other words, they just need to be immersed in racial guilt.
And I'm sorry, as silly, silly me, I think we ought to be about winning wars.
First and foremost.
Now, are there social issues?
Of course there are.
That's all fine.
But white rage?
It just smacks of a CRT obsession that has no place in the United States military.
And General Milley's tolerance, if not outright affinity for that, is enormously concerning.
And if you got that going on demonstrably and provably, then it's not a long walk to the notion of him being one of these Paranoid, Trump-hating troublemakers in Trump's inner circle running off to Nancy Pelosi, running off to his Chinese counterpart.
This guy's crazy!
He's gonna bomb Beijing!
I better tell him!
So I think there is credibility to this story.
And I'll tell you what I'm gonna do, because fairness is vital to me.
I mean, do I know it like I know my own name?
I do not.
Do I believe it?
I do.
And the minute General Milley...
Comes out and says, I absolutely didn't do it.
I didn't do it.
I wouldn't do it.
That would be horribly wrong.
It would be treachery.
It would be treason.
How dare anyone say that I did these things?
When those words are coming out of General Milley's mouth, I will revise and extend my remarks, as the old saying goes.
But you know what?
I don't think that's going to happen.
Because I think he did make the phone call.
I think he did warn his Chinese counterpart.
Based on this Trump-hating paranoia.
And I think what we're going to see is General Milley, to any extent that he winds up talking more about it, and he must talk more about it.
We have a right to know.
And then I think he's going to try to cleanse it and try to justify it.
And the funniest thing to me is the left thought this would work out great.
Oh, Milley's a hero.
He protected us from the crazy person that is Trump.
Yeah, this backfire is an epic one for the ages, and I have to confess.
I hate the story, but I love the backfire.

Hugh has plentiful history with Nixon in his later years, and of course is running the Nixon Library now.

It was the summer between my junior and senior year of high school.
And so all the Watergate hearings were on in the summertime.
It was the stuff of my high school years.
And it's easy at that point to just carry on Watergate with you.
But when you take a look at his...
Election in 1968, his enormous re-election in 1972. Pat Buchanan has written some fascinating books about Nixon.
I'm trying to remember the name of it.
It's about just one of the comebacks of the century in terms of somebody who was totally down, totally defeated, and rose to the presidency not once but twice.
Nixon is maybe one of our most fascinating figures who was ever president.

How are you doing?
Well, pretty good.
Thank you for taking my call.
My pleasure.
Listen, you know he is a rat.
He's a worm.
Even if he comes out at a hearing, I still won't believe him.
Because it's sickening to think that he would even do that to Trump.
And it's sickening what, you know, us Republicans have had to deal with the last eight months, the fake mask mandates.
I mean, what do you think of Schumer yesterday with his sneeze?
Was that not just a big joke to him?
You know, it really cracked me up, of course.
Let me regather my bearing.
That 180 degree or 90 degree pivot, I almost got whiplash from the topical change.
Let me go with the original one, and that is that Millie's credibility is shot.
Mike Pompeo was on Hannity last night, and in fact, I might have this.
Here we go.
A part of the book, and the source material for all of this is the, I think it's to be released in about five days, Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.
And among Millie's, among the things Millie is represented as saying, is that he went to Pompeo in the closing days of Trump and said, this guy's crazy, and I'm going to make sure that we somehow all get out of this constitutionally sound.
And Pompeo says...
I have no recollection of a conversation like that.
Look, we were all pretty down.
We were about to hand over the reins of foreign policy to this administration.
We've seen these last eight months what that means for the United States of America.
So if someone asked, was I excited about January 20th and the fact that we were no longer going to have the capacity to secure American freedom, I count me for being a pretty dark place, too.
So that was Pompeo and Hannity.
Now, does that mean that the reporting is bad from Bob Woodward and Robert Costa?
Costa's great.
Woodward's fascinating and has largely been sound in his assertions in most of his books.
If Milley is as wheels off as may be the case, then maybe he's walking around telling this story.
Not only that he called the Chinese counterpart, but that he was also trying to bolster calling the Chinese counterpart by sharing some of his concerns with other contemporaries.
In the Trump White House.
Go figure.
We're in Newark, New Jersey.

Always grateful and always nice to see Dennis' return.
Anyway, I mean, he hasn't been looking that well either.
I've got a really great idea.
Adam, I've got a really good idea.
I've got a really good idea.
You've got ten seconds to do it.
Got anything real to talk about there, buddy?
Yeah.
Okay, that'll be no.
1-8-Prager-776.
I give multiple chances.
Multiple chances.
Alrighty, we're in Irvine, California.
Chris, hey, Mark Davis, welcome.
How are you, sir?
Mark, I am nauseated about the major reality disconnect between what just happened and what should have just happened.
In where?
Oh, in California.
Oh, the recall.
So many Republicans should have come out.
More Republicans should have come out and voted for Larry Elder.
What if they all...
I mean, what if...
I mean, listen, it's California, dude.
I mean, did we have a real...
Did we have a real motivation problem?
A real turnout problem?
Or is this what it's like to live in a two-to-one state?
It's California!
Yeah, but they should have come out.
Well, okay, let's say 50% more did.
Then the recall only loses by 10 points instead of 30?
I mean, it's California.
I know it would.
It would.
And unicorns dropping from the sky would be nice, too.
You know, if the recall had lost by 5 percentage points, I'd be wringing my hands right along with you.
Saying, man, if only, if only...
If only.
And you know what?
Maybe we'll get to a point where Republicans will start losing races.
And again, this is not a Larry loss.
It's the recall loss.
The prospect of recall went down by a two-to-one margin.
But I'll tell you, if people had actually voted to punt Gavin Newsom, Larry's dominance over that large field was beyond doubt.
But it's California.
We have miles and miles to go.
But I'll tell you what, one of my takeaways is, Larry has shown us how it's done.
That you get out there and California has liberals and has conservatives.
A ton more liberals right now, right?
So the way you appeal to them is by getting out there and doing what Larry did and saying, listen, I can do better on the economy.
I can do better on COVID response.
I can do better on...
Forest management.
I can do better on jobs.
I can do better on all kinds of things.
So that people who might not be that ideologically wired will say, all right, let's give this guy a chance.
And then you get a couple of Republicans elected and go, wow, that didn't suck.
And ta-da!
But it's a process.
It's a process.
And Larry's been a key part of that process.

And yet, I have this feeling, as we go back to your calls on 14 different things, which is my favorite talk show environment, that are Americans getting it?
Do you think that maybe even people who are not, you know, hardwired ideological conservatives?
Like we were just talking about, the campaign that Larry ran in California.
It wasn't so much about my politics or your politics or I'm conservative and he's liberal, which all that does is just reinforce everybody that already is those things.
It was his job to get out there and say, look, education is terrible.
I hear from a lot of people in the show that I do here in DFW on 660 AM, The Answer, and I hear from time to time, both in on-air life and off-air life, that there are people who, and I don't mean the hardcore left, they're going to vote for Biden,
you know, no matter what, or his attempted successor in 2024. But a lot of people who are independents or in the mushy middle, or again, they're not real ideologically wired, and they call me and say, this Afghanistan thing was terrible.
And this inflation is terrible.
And maybe our borders do need to work because that situation is terrible.
And I just kind of nod and listen.
I go, mm-hmm.
I might be telling you about some candidates in the near future who can do a better job of those things.
Might you be interested in hearing about that?
And I think that's the key to our progress.
I'm very confident in taking back the House in 2022. I have middling confidence in taking back the Senate.
A lot of people already, this makes me very uncomfortable.

Absolutely it could be.
This could be a stunning rebuke of everything Biden.

Any teacher who's taping masks to nine-year-olds' heads should be fired immediately.
Thank you.
I mean, I'm not going out on a limb here to say that.
Do you disagree with that?
Now, the lunatics who are so mask- and vaccine-crazed, who are freaking out about...
100,000 people in a college football stadium, I'll bet they think that's okay.
Well, the nine-year-old doesn't have his mask on, you got to tape it to his head.
Tape the mask around it so it stays over his mouth and his nose.
Not only should the teacher lose her job, she should be arrested.
That's assault.

Everything was just takeout and delivery for me.
It was very difficult.
I now face 1.4 judgment against me.
1.4 million?
1.4 million, Mike.
Okay.
And already my struggles, I already had struggles from before.
This is what they don't understand.
They don't understand the struggles we go through.
Everybody.
They don't sit and think about the struggles a family has.
And my struggles are even more compared to others.
I lost my husband.
I'm a single mom with four kids.
Like, enough already.
Let me live.
Let me feed my children.
And now these new mandates, again with no protection.
We are violating New York City human rights laws.
If we comply with this.
I'm not complying.
You're like the voice of Americans who are saying, you're not going to tell me how I can choose to live my life or run my business.
Irene, I don't understand.
You have to help me understand the $1.4 million that you're facing.
How does an owner of a beloved diner like Kellogg's Diner in Brooklyn Rack up $1.4 million that they say you owe the government.
Because when you buy a business, you have a lease.
You have a mortgage.
You conduct contracts.
There's rules on those contracts.
And when you default on those contracts, you will lose in court if you defaulted.
Right, right.
And I lost.

But Biden is taking a hit and Democrats are trying to stay clear from him.
Overall, the poll found that Biden's net approval averages negative seven.
Polls do matter to Democrats.
Unfortunately, I feel like Republicans are starting to do the same.
Republicans have an opportunity of a lifetime, in my opinion, to kick Biden while he's down.
And you have Kevin McCarthy.
Kevin McCarthy seems to have backtracked slightly.
But Mitch McConnell talking about they don't want to impeach.
Why not?

Well, that's sound advice not only to the Pentagon, but to anyone in the administration.
Congress is not just going to move on from this fiasco.
We're going to get to the bottom of what happened.
And then if the Democratic Congress right now won't do it, then we'll get to the bottom of it in early 2023 once Republicans have won.

It is the third hour of the Thursday Dennis Prager Show.
Dennis, back tomorrow to wrap up your week on Friday.
I'm Mark Davis filling in from 660 AM The Answer in Dallas, Fort Worth, where I host the morning show every day.
And on some really special days, I get to turn it right around and knock out another talk show.
This one, and what a joy that is, because it's an opportunity to sort of take nationwide various things that occur on the show this morning, and that's kind of happening, because I've had the opportunity to talk a lot about General Milley.
I am inclined to believe that a deep-seated Trump-hating paranoia led him to ring up his Communist Chinese counterpart.
I think he's proud of it.
I think the left thinks he's a hero for it, and it's going to blow up in all their faces.
And there need to be questions answered about this immediately by him.
And fairness requires that if he steps forward and says, I didn't do it, what's in the Bob Woodward, Robert Costa book is totally false.
I never called up my Chinese counterpart to warn them against crazy Trump.
I would never do such a thing.
That would be treachery.
That would be treason.
I would never do it.
If he actually steps forward and says that, I will adjust my opinion of him.
I do not envision that that will be happening.
Since I am here in Texas, I brought up some stuff about our recently passed heartbeat law that has us talking about life and death for the born and yet to be born.
And a number of other things kicking around as well.
Thanks for being here.
1-8 Prager 776. Follow me on Twitter at Mark Davis if that's your inclination.
And let's dive here.
President Biden's talking about something I think it is combination economy and vax mandates.
Boy, just good luck with that, sir.
Let me give you 30 seconds on this.
The Biden idea, it's a backdoor vaccine mandate is what it essentially is.
Making businesses make you get it.
Employers over 100, he says.
As with all of these things, there's the issue of what you think about vaccines, what you think of Biden, what you think of anything.
And that's all important to me because Look what I do for a living.
That's what talk shows are about, what you think about things, what I think about things.
But the ultimate thing in this business vaccine mandate is, can he do it?
And that answer is no.
And you can't wrap it in some force field of OSHA and say, well, it's about workplace safety.
Yeah, no, it's not.
OSHA exists on workplace safety.
Police and regulate inherently dangerous workplaces, like is the roof of your mine shaft about to collapse, or do you have sharp objects that threaten the workers in your factory?
That's OSHA material.
OSHA has never and should never be used as an implementer of broad social health policy.
So, no, sir, you don't get to do this.
There is no basis whatsoever for a president telling businesses what their vaccine policies can be.
So, anyway, we'll see how this works out.
1-8 Prager 776. As we head back to your calls.
We're in Tucson.
Gary.
Hey, Mark Davis.
Welcome.
How are you?
Hey, Brother Davis.
I'm doing as well as can be considering the State of the Union.
I think it's critical that Milley stepped down based solely on the Afghan retreat and debacle.
But if this is true with him and China, that's a whole different ballgame.
That's court-martial and prison and all the rest.
What's funny, you mentioned...
Go ahead and finish, I'm sorry.
Go ahead.
You first.
Sorry, Mark.
Okay.
The Dems have a long history of making the United States look as bad as possible.
Especially back with Bush here talking about torture all the time.
They want to put their Black Lives Matter flags over our embassies.
There's all kinds of things they do to disrespect America.
And this is the latest thing.
They won't fire a general when he's firing.
Unless they do.
And pardon me for stepping on you.
Because in bringing up Afghanistan and the China call, I'm trying to remember who, I think it was Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana said that they might use the, they're going to throw Millie under the bus using Afghanistan as the pretext.
So that they're not really doing it for inventing anti-Trump paranoia because they love anti-Trump paranoia in the Biden White House.
Anti-Trump paranoia is heroic in the Biden White House and across the landscape of the American left.
But if he's becoming a distraction, if he's becoming a net negative, if he's becoming a problem, then maybe they can get rid of him and say that Afghanistan was the reason.
And then they could say, leave Tony Blinken alone.
Leave Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin alone.
Leave Biden alone.
Because here's the thing.
You need somebody's head on a platter, don't you?
The definition of accountability.
Well, we take responsibility.
We are accountable.
Oh, really?
Measured by what?
And they'll be able to say, look, we got rid of Millie.
So, I don't know.
The clock may be ticking for this man.
But not ultimately because of the China phone call.
And here's what's weird.
For the China phone call, he deserves to be gone.
I don't think it was Millie's idea to screw up Afghanistan.
In fact, this very same book, Peril, By Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.
How many copies of that can I sell in one show?
There are chapters in there that contain the notion of military people trying to talk Biden out of the disastrous August 31st timetable.
Go figure.
We are in Whittier, California.
Jerry, hey, Mark Davis, welcome.
And for Dennis, how are you?
I'm good.
How are you doing today?
Good, thank you.
Okay, so earlier you mentioned the vote with Governor Newsom.
Well, if they're using the same Smartmatic machines, how is it that anyone would think it was still going to have an honest and fair election?
Well, I have no idea about whether they were Smartmatic machines in every county, but I will tell you, was there the likelihood?
I mean, it's a Democrat-run state.
Is there a possibility of some fraud in there somewhere?
Sure there is.
But when the margin is $2.5 million, I have a feeling it would have turned out this way anyway.
Well, yeah, but hold on a second.
But people that went to vote on the 14th were turned away because they were told they had already voted.
I heard some things about that anecdotally.
I did.
And by the way, there may be various other things as well.
Because A, it's California, and B, this is what Democrats do.
And here's the thing.
I don't want to say I'm glad it wasn't a razor-thin margin.
But I may be glad it wasn't a razor-thin margin, because then I'll be sitting there thinking, wow, did fraud turn this thing one way or the other?
And I know that seems like the conservative go-to thing.
Well, if we lose, it's always fraud.
Well, guess what?
Of late, fraud is part of the Democrat strategy manual, and this is why we had Texas legislators pack up and hightail it and fly to Washington in the worst stunt in recent political history,
because they found Governor Abbott and our Republican legislators' attempts to reinstill some sense of security in our elections after that security and reliability had been dashed against the rocks, sacrificed on the altar of phony COVID panic.
Needless things that were done to our elections.
We tried to normalize those things and get back to the way it was when people were voting normally.
And that gave the Democrats an opportunity to start screaming voter suppression when it was nothing of the kind.
We're in Missouri.
Cliff, hey, Mark Davison for Dennis.
Welcome.

I'm good, Mark.
Really enjoyed the show.

Aside from the fact of the barbaric way that babies are terminated in the womb, we're forgetting another point, which John brings up a 13-year-old, and the psychological effects that many of these girls feel after they had an abortion, the years of regret, depression, etc.
And I tell you, my wife and I, we live in a smaller town, and she has three co-workers that are unable to have children, and would absolutely love the opportunity to adopt a baby.
Thank you, sir.
Because this is, it's important.
Thank you for that.
Thank you for the story.
This is what everybody needs to be reminded of, is that an unwanted pregnancy is a trauma.
I obviously cannot imagine, and I will never know firsthand, what it's like to be, you know, 17 and pregnant, or whatever age and pregnant, because obviously that's not something that will ever happen to me.
However, I was once a baby.
We all were.
And that gives me absolutely equal standing to participate in a debate over something that is a human life issue.
The unwanted pregnancy is a tough hand to be dealt.
So lovingly, understandingly, and helpfully, those of us who are pro-life should reach out to women who are in this plight and say, we will help you.
We're not going to scold you, berate you, or toss you into the lake of fire.

Israel is getting ready for their fourth jab.
Now some people, this is how dishonest the media is, they say, well, Israel in the last couple days, they've seen their rates go down.
Now why do you think that COVID rates would be going down in Israel the last couple days?

Good.
Yeah, you know, when you look at somebody like Miller, it's kind of mystifying.
I mean, it's hard to understand how he got to where he is, you know.
He's legally led.
He's incompetent and politically corrupt.
It's extremely easy to see how he got there.
He has a stellar record of magnificent military service, as did John Kelly, as did Mad Dog Mattis, and Trump breaks people.
If you don't have the spine, the brain, the capacity to understand the change that's happening before you, Trump can break you.
It happened to Liz Cheney, it happened to all these never-Trumpers, so it's not a mystery how he got that far.
I mean, it's the mystery why he has allowed a collapse to happen based on the paranoia of Trump hatred.
Go ahead.
Yeah, well, you know, Obama started purging the military years ago.
To me, this has to do with purging, because he purged the alphabet, bureaucracies, you know, and, you know, they started out by purging their own party of everybody, the best and the brightest, anybody that wouldn't go along with their political corruption, their criminal corruption.
Sedition, treason, I mean, personal corruption, their social ideology, and they put the party above the welfare of other people.
So this is what we've got.
They've gotten rid of everybody, but the Millies and the Comeys and the Odd Squad, it's just stunning.
It's extremely disturbing to see the military bend to woke politics and nonsense like this.
I don't know if I could wake up and put my pants on in the morning if I thought this was a majority.
There's way too many.
There are instructors in our military academies that are okay with critical race theory.
There are top brass that are more concerned about making sure we make everything okay for our transgender soldiers than they are worried about winning wars.
And I think it's just a few, but it's poison.
It is poison.
And we've got to have the will and the spine.
And the desire to do something about that so that we can have a military that is concerned with what a military needs to be concerned about.
And that is keeping America strong, doing their duty, winning wars, protecting us against enemies, foreign and domestic, all that good stuff.
And, of course, in the military's case, mostly foreign.
And keeping a clear eye toward what the job of the military is.
And it has been a scary prospect to see...
I mean, we're always going to have people whose brains and spines are going to be eaten up by this stuff.
And I'm not going to suggest that the military is going to forever be immune, because the military is also made up of human beings.
And human beings can have varying ideas, varying politics, and different administrations can bring different things.
And this is part of why we have got to retain some focus on what the military's job actually is.
Mark Davis in for Dennis.

There's a little now cult classic from 2014 called Lone Star America, How Texas Can Save Our Country.
Every word in that's still true.
And in 2016, I wrote Upside Down, How the Left has Turned Right into Wrong, Truth into Lies, and Good into Bad.
That's a lot of subtitle.
Just do Mark Davis, Upside Down, and you'll either find a really bad picture of me in college or you'll find the book.
So check it out both on wherever fine books are sold, Lone Star America and Upside Down.
And it's funny because when I wrote Upside Down, it basically is a chapter-by-chapter goodwill and good humor way to engage people and try to pry them away from crazy things that they believe.
Like your SUV is causing the planet to get warmer.

Fantastic.

Excellent.
There hasn't been a lot of coverage about this, and I just want to put it out there for all the listeners, whoever wants to hear.
The United States Postal Service, or at least the rural side of the Postal Service, will not be mandating vaccines for their employees.
I think it's the whole Postal Service.
I think it's everybody.
What is it, like 450,000 people work for the Postal Service, and there's Biden the other day mandating vaccines for certain elements of government work, which, as president, he can probably do.
But the Postal Service mysteriously exempt.
Gee, I wonder why.
Well, I can tell you why.
Because we are unionized, in order to mandate the vaccination, that would be a condition of employment.
I work with the union, so I know all this.
In order to make something a condition of employment, it has to be bid on and it has to be entered into our contracts with the Postal Service.
Okay.
How many other government workers have similar union clauses in their contractual relationship?
That was one thing I wondered as well, because like with the other private companies that are unionized, this is the same way for them as well.
Right, because in a private company, you would think a private company can do whatever it wants, but if there's some contract that dictates certain guidelines that you don't just have just as a condition of showing up as a regular employee, all right, so let me ask you, this is a wonderful opportunity, John, I appreciate it.
How long have you been working for the Postal Service?
I've been working on the Postal Service for about 15 years, and I've been working with the National Rule Letters Carriers Association, the union there, for the last three and a half.
Well, God bless you.
Thank you for all you and everybody that shares your job does in terms of delivering the mail.
I consider it a modern miracle.
I can slap 50-some cents on something and wind up in a post office in somebody's mailbox in Alaska.
I think that's incredible.
So let me ask you, when somebody thinks of unions, and I think about, you know, there are a number of unions I can mention, the Teamsters, the UAW, etc., etc., how do the politics run in the letter carries union?
Very interesting.
So starting out at the local office, you start at the local steward, and that you're actually voted into by the rule carriers at the office.
From there up, it's appointed by higher up in the union itself.
So the district stewards are appointed by the area reps, and the area reps are appointed by the district reps, and the district reps are appointed by the...
In South Carolina, you've got the South Carolina Natural Letter Carriers Association part of the union, and that's appointed by them.
Is some of it geographic?
If I'm showing up at a letter carriers union meeting in New Jersey or Massachusetts, is it probably politically different than a letter carriers union gathering in South Carolina?
Yes, it'll be different.
It's one large union, but we are separated into separate districts.
Gotcha.
Well, thank you for letting me do the additional Q&A there.
And thanks for calling.
And God bless all y'all who are letter carriers.
Thank you for the amazing level of service that you guys deliver quite literally every day.
Appreciate you.

Don't you get tired of commercials screaming at you to buy gold now with inflated promises on future values?
In an unregulated industry, you need honest, real experts to give you solid advice to protect your wealth.
And top picks on the best coins in bullion.
Based on real-time data and historical trends.
For example, as environmental policy becomes a hot topic, one precious metal that's been significantly undervalued for years is potentially set to surge.
Nick Grovich, owner of Amfed Coin and Bullion, has long recommended this precious metal.
Up to 600,000 ounces of this rare metal will be needed by 2030 to produce green hydrogen.
Nick is doubling down on this pick, and you should too.
Call Nick at AmFedCoin and Bullion to find out more.
I've been friends with Nick for years, and he's my go-to guy when it comes to coins and bullion.
I trust him.

American federal.com not one mistake turning now on the Charlie Kirk show Israel is getting ready for their fourth jab now Now, some people, this is how dishonest the media is, they say, well, Israel in the last couple days, they've seen their rates go down.
Now, why do you think that COVID rates would be going down in Israel the last couple days?
Anybody?
Is it because of the vaccine?
Masks?
No, it's because of the high holidays, okay?
And by the way, let me just say, I'm a very, I'm a lover of Israel and Jerusalem.
Numerous blockades throughout Israel and mask mandates.
Where Sweden has no booster shots.
No COVID passports, no lockdowns, and no masks.

Thank you.
I mean, I'm not going out on a limb here to say that.
Do you disagree with that?
Now, the lunatics who are so mask- and vaccine-crazed, who are freaking out about 100,000 people in a college football stadium, I'll bet they think that's okay.
Well, if the 9-year-old doesn't have his mask on, you've got to tape it to his head.
Now tape the mask.
It is the Dennis Prager Show for this Thursday, the 16th day of September 2021.
Glad you guys are here.
Grab a line at 1-8-Prager-776 if you'd like to be one of the final homestretch of opinions that we garner from you here on the program.
Let me share an opinion or two about home prices.
They are skyrocketing right now.
And for current homeowners, this means your home has more equity.
And so with today's high cost of living, your monthly debts are higher.
Your ability to save might be tougher than ever before.
So, why don't you get in touch with Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage and take a look at some of those cash-out refinance options.
If you have credit card debt, home improvement projects, or just looking to stoke the savings a little bit, this could be your last chance to take advantage of today's low interest rates.
Andrew and Todd can help you get cash-out.
While rates are at historic lows, go to andrewandtodd.com, andrewandtodd.com, fill out their very simple form for a quick mortgage checkup, or give them a buzz at 888-888-1172.

That's 888-888.
1172. Alrighty, our phone number, you know that, 1-8-Prager-776.
Let's examine some folks who have taken advantage of that.
We are in Mission Hills, California.
Gretchen, hey, Mark Davison for Dennis.
How are you?
I'm fine.
Good.
Nice to have you.
You know, can you please find out, in light of Biden's forgetfulness, who is behind the scenes holding the button?
What button?
Somebody, and if they don't want to tell you easily, you should demand it.
Yeah.
Okay, let me just take that ball and run with it for a little bit.
The button is one question, the general metaphor for a nuclear strike capability.
Maybe pulling the strings might have been, or operating the marionette hookup might have been a better metaphor.
Let's spend an honest moment about that.
President Biden, and I say this without a shred of political disdain, is in obvious cognitive decline.
I, as a layperson, cannot diagnose Alzheimer's or technical dementia or examine brain plaques.
That's not what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about...
Cognitive decline.
We have all seen it.
We all have a loved one who at some point has started to blink out on the way down that path of cognitive decline.
Is it all the time?
No.
Sometimes adrenaline, a good nap.
Nice tasty bowl of soup.
And he could be up and ready to roll.
And here's the funny thing.
You remember during the, I think I might have hosted the Prager show leading up to one of the debates.
And everybody was like, oh man, Trump's just going to wipe the floor with him.
I said, sit tight on this.
They're going to over-prep him.
He will absolutely get a nap in.
And this notion that Trump is just going to go through him like a buzzsaw while his eyes glaze over and he asks for ice cream, it's not going to happen.
And guess what?
It didn't happen.
Biden actually did okay in the debates.
I mean, the content was terrible, because I'm a conservative.
I wouldn't buy any of what he was selling.
But in terms of performance, was he able to complete sentences in the English language?
Yes, he was.
So is it all the time?
No.
But it's a whole lot of the time.
And it is an increasing percentage of the time.
And so does that mean that he is not really at the controls?
Pfft.
It doesn't automatically mean it, but it might mean that if, and it's kind of funny, one wonders who that might be.
Is it Kamala Harris?
I gotta tell you, I don't know that it is.
When I take a look at this Tony Blinken character, Who is just one of the weakest mirages of a Secretary of State.
It gets me to thinking, though, that these kind of academic eggheads are exactly the kind of folks who might really be nudging, jostling, leading, guiding, a...
A non-participatory Joe Biden down whatever path they wish.
Now, again, every day?
No.
But just every once in a while.
Because this is not a man with a capacity to be energetically plugged in to the degree that he should every day.
He's just not all there.
So, it will...
Eternally be a fascinating question.
Who is calling some of the shots?
But I tell you what.
No matter who it is, it's on him.
It's his presidency.
It's his responsibility.
And so, irrespective of who might be moving the levers of power, our job as conservatives is to point out that whoever it is, it's a screw-up.
And the ultimate result needs to be consequences at the ballot box in 2022, as his party is ushered from power in the House, and please lord the Senate as well.
And then we start to tee it up and succeed this presidency, not just with somebody who's conservative, but with somebody who's coherent.
I hope I'm not asking too much here.
Alrighty, let's see where we be.
We are in Sun City, Arizona.
Eunice, hi.
Mark Davis in Ford, Dennis.
How you doing?
Hey, Eunice, how are you?
That's God saying, get to the break on time.
So you know what?
I'm going to do it.
Because we've got like 30 seconds.
That would have been a quick walkthrough.
It's also a lesson that says, hey, when you hear a voice coming through the phone, start talking.

Further on the merits and potentially wind its way up back to the Supreme Court.
But what they're saying here is that no longer will an activist majority simply say, sorry states, you don't have a compelling interest to protect unborn life.
And so for all of us who understand actual science and who have seen the science, who see the strides that we have made in showing...
Well, it has been quite the Dennis Prager Show.
I know your favorite thing is to have the Dennis Prager Show hosted by Dennis Prager.
You know what?
Mine, too.
As a listener, mine, too.
And tomorrow, Dennis will be back to take you out of the week with a Friday show for the ages, I am sure.

So here I am.

So, what have we learned today?
What are the takeaways from today's broadcast experience?
Well, we had Larry Elder on at the beginning of last hour.
And he is extremely proud of what he was able to achieve, and he should be.
And I am extremely proud of my friend and colleague.
I asked him, because I know this is what most of y'all care about, when are you back on the radio?
And his answer, his literal answer was, I don't know.
And I don't want to overanalyze or engage in mind reading, of which I am not capable, but he had the vibe of someone who was very Moved by the way this experience went.
You have two and a half million people vote for you?
Actually drive somewhere and vote for you?
That's a big deal.
I mean, having all of you listen to us on the radio is an incredible joy and a gift, and we're grateful every day.
But man, you get people come to vote for you in an actual election?
And when I say intoxicating, I don't mean everybody's like drunk on power.
It's like, yay me!
But there is something incredibly...
Meaningful about that.
It makes you want to give back.
And I, you know, and again, I don't know, and I'm not doing mind reading here, but I think Larry's involved in wondering what his best way to give back is right now.
After this election that did, and it's funny, because while the notion of getting rid of Gavin Newsom failed by nearly a two-to-one margin, in that massive field of candidates, Larry got almost 50% of them!
And that's incredible.
And so I don't know.
I don't see Larry on the show tomorrow, and I wouldn't know if I'd look for him next week either.
But I did offer heartfelt recommendation, part of it purely selfishly as a listener and colleague.
I said, Larry, my friend, if you're thinking about a lot of options that are available to you, the world is your oyster.
All kinds of things are available to you, and maybe some are available now that wouldn't have otherwise been had you not run for governor of California.
But whatever those things are, as you take a look at those multiple options, Why don't you hash those out with listeners while hosting the show?
But then I'm a radio guy, and I want all the radio guys to be doing radio shows.
But maybe Larry's wondering, am I a radio guy forever?
Anyway, look, I'm Mark Davison for Dennis.
Dennis is back tomorrow.
God bless, and I'll see you soon.
I didn't get to do the thank you credits.
I'm sorry, that was too quick.
But no problem, man.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks to all of y'all.
Christian, Suzette, everybody, appreciate it.
I will see you guys very...
I'm so sorry about whatever in the world that was.
I'll get with Barry and see if there was anything preventable.
