Today is the 6th of August 2021. Another wonderful day in the greatest country in the history of the world.
My name is indeed Nick Adams and I am your guest host today.
For the magnificent, the incomparable, the unparalleled, the adjectives continue to fail me to do justification to the great man Dennis Prager.
As many of you know, occasionally I have the great privilege of filling in.
Of course, his shoe size is much bigger than mine, but it's always a delight to join Dennis Prager's listeners, the greatest listeners in the United States of America, on what I think is the premier program in the country.
The 6th of August today, it's 76 degrees and sunny in New York City.
It's 83 degrees and cloudy.
In Tampa, Florida, in Los Angeles, California, it's mostly cloudy, 64 degrees.
Today is the 6th, which of course is a very big day in history.
On the 6th of August 1945, the United States became the first and only nation to use atomic weaponry during wartime when it dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
Approximately 80,000 people were killed as a direct result of the blast and another 35,000 were injured.
At least another 60,000 would die by the end of that year from the effects of the fallout.
Other interesting things that happened on this particular day, we have, It's Gerry Halliwell's birthday.
Lucille Ball was born on this day, on the 11th of...
In 1911, I should say.
So there's a lot going on in the United States of America.
That's fair to say.
This is actually my first time filling in on Dennis' show since the events of November of last year.
And suffice to say, the country has changed rather dramatically in the last little while.
And we're going to be talking a lot about that today.
A host of different things.
We're going to be hearing from David Horowitz from the Horowitz Freedom Centre.
We're going to be talking about America, culture, what we're up against, what we need to do to try and turn this place around.
We're also going to be speaking to Mike Shirek, who is a great coach who talks about a great new book that's out at the moment called Manhood Manifesto.
And we're going to be speaking about his book and what the condition of masculinity is in the United States of America.
I know that that's a question that a lot of people interested in culture often discuss today.
We also are going to be hearing from a man called Matt Palumbo, who is an expert on Governor Cuomo.
Governor Cuomo is right now embroiled in a massive news story with the results of the Attorney General there in New York coming out just a couple of days ago.
As always, we would love to hear from you.
Our number is 1-8 Prager-776.
That's 1-8 Prager-776 or 1-877-243-7776.
I saw a really interesting article that I wanted to share.
Because it really kind of hits at all of the major issues in America today, particularly in politics.
I saw it appeared in The Hill.
It was written by Monica Crowley.
President Trump left office seven months ago, but the pathologically obsessed left just can't quit him.
Every left-wing media outlet ceaselessly talks about and curses him like it's August 2018. Yet their six-year-long wild-eyed anti-Trump mania has, in many ways, only made him stronger.
Witness the most recent filings by his Save America PAC and the Federal Election Commission, showing Trump raised an eye-popping $82 million in the first half of 2021 and has over $100 million cash on hand with which to influence the 2022 midterm elections.
No other former president has ever inspired and controlled that kind of political fundraising juggernaut.
Additionally, Trump has been holding key meetings about his future, described by his former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, as making plans to move forward in a real way with President Trump as the head of the ticket.
Right on cue, of course, leftist commentators came out in force.
Claiming that the Biden administration investigators and prosecutors are boxing Trump in and that his influence is on the wane.
But as his massive fundraising, dominant poll numbers and huge crowds at rallies indicate, this is wildly off the mark.
And another transparent attempt to wish Trump away.
You'd think by now they would have learned that is a fool's errand.
But they haven't.
And one of their favourite ways to try to diminish and dismiss him...
Is to ignore his achievements, which they will never concede, make him one of America's most successful presidents.
For decades, Democrats have been talking disingenuously about reducing income inequality, poverty and unemployment.
In four years, Trump did it.
through a pro-growth, pro-worker agenda, tax cuts, regulatory relief, unleashing our energy sector and working to achieve fairer, more reciprocal trade deals.
Trump delivered a booming pre-pandemic economy that benefited all Americans.
In fact, Trump's policies gave us a Goldilocks economy, strong overall growth, significant wage growth, full employment for all demographic groups, low inflation, and a narrowing of the income and wealth gaps.
He created a true blue-collar bloom.
And When the pandemic hit, Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force led a comprehensive approach to try to mitigate its impact and get the American people and U.S. businesses through the crisis.
Early on, he suspended travel from China and Europe, declared a national emergency and oversaw the implementation of the bipartisan Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security, CARES Act.
His administration ensured that critical relief was sped to America's workers, small businesses, industries and state and local governments.
Most astounding, Trump removed bureaucratic hurdles and launched Operation Warp Speed, which made the US the world leader in testing and produced a complex vaccine distribution in just 10 months.
Trump withdrew us from the World Health Organization over its mismanagement of the pandemic.
And led us to a robust reopening and fast economic recovery.
Trump worked to solve the immigration problem by securing the border, enforcing immigration laws, targeting sanctuary cities, and ending catch and release, chain migration, and the visa lottery program.
He closed asylum loopholes with the Remain in Mexico policy and worked to combat human trafficking.
For underserved communities, he established opportunity zones.
To create jobs and generate investment, made unprecedented investments in historically black colleges and universities and achieved historic criminal justice reform.
Trump worked with state and local lawmakers to expand school choice, signed a critical executive order that promoted and protected free speech on college campuses and expanded education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.
In foreign affairs, Trump rebuilt our military capabilities, defeated ISIS by destroying its caliphate, and eliminated terrorists Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Qasem Soleimani.
After presidents of both parties spent decades promising to name Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. Embassy there, Trump did it.
Perhaps more importantly, his administration secured the historic Abraham Accords between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan, creating a monumental geostrategic shift in the Middle East to set it on path toward a sustainable peace.
He, of course, was also the first modern president to forcefully and proactively take on Chinese economic aggression, impose crippling sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea.
And the list goes on.
The left will never acknowledge these and other Trump successes.
But as other transformative Republican presidents, the left must try to besmirch Trump for the history books.
But they continue their war on Trump for another reason.
They fear him.
Trump's opponents know that he could engineer the most astonishing comeback of all.
Donald Trump is rarely stealthy.
No wonder his enemies are so worried.
I'm Nick Adams and you're listening to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
Nancy Pelosi says masks are back.
You're going to be arrested if you don't wear them in Congress.
When is this going to end, Phil?
You know, it's...
I don't know what it's going to end.
We've got the masks are mandatory again in Washington, D.C. as of 5 a.m.
tomorrow morning, which is very interesting because it's been 13 days since the District of Columbia last reported.
A death with COVID. We've had 11 homicides in the last 13 days, but zero deaths with COVID. Maybe they should ban homicides, Phil.
Yeah, right.
Well, or at least maybe have a little bit more vigorous enforcement of the existing laws against them.

Don't you get tired of commercials screaming at you to buy gold now with inflated promises on future values?
In an unregulated industry, you need honest, real experts to give you solid advice to protect your wealth and top picks on the best coins in bullion.
Based on real-time data and historical trends.
For example, as environmental policy becomes a hot topic, one precious metal that's been significantly undervalued for years is potentially set to surge.
Nick Grovich, owner of Amfed Coin& Bullion, has long recommended this precious metal.
Up to 600,000 ounces of this rare metal will be needed by 2030 to produce green hydrogen.
Nick is doubling down on this pick.
And you should, too.

Well, according to the CDC's own documents, right here, Barnes Stable, or is it Barnes Stable?
Whatever.
County, Massachusetts.
Outbreak.
In all bold.
No difference in mean CT values.
In unvaccinated and vaccinated cases.
In fact, the vaccinated cases were 0.4% higher.
That's the CDC's own data.
That vaccinated Americans in Massachusetts, I'm just reading from the document, in Barnstable County, that the median among vaccinated...
Was N equals 80?
I'm not sure what that value represents.
But 21.9, unvaccinated, N equals 65, 21.5.
I'm guessing that's how many people they were testing.
I need to go look at what the values represent.
It says here that risk of infection, reinfection with the Delta variant may be higher, compelled to the Alpha variant.
But only if prior infection is 180 days earlier.
It says this, that the Delta variant may cause more severe disease than the Alpha or the ancestral strains.
So they're already going to now mandate indoor mask mandates.
And in fact, certain sources that cover the White House very well, including Jack Pasebic, who has been wrong about almost nothing with his sources.
We'll see you next time.

It is a pleasure to have your company.
Give us a call, 1-8-PRAGER-776.

Well, I'm delighted today to be joined by somebody that has been an inspiration to me for a very long time.
I own every single one of his books.
His work, his writings, had a very significant impact on my worldview growing up, and it's probably fair to say that I wouldn't be sitting right here, right now, or doing the things that I do in America every day if it weren't for this particular gentleman.
I, of course, am referring to Mr. David Horowitz, who runs the Horowitz Freedom Centre.
He is an incredible thinker.
A wonderful patriot.
I got involved with his organization three or four years ago, and I always enjoy going to their signature event each year, which is usually held at the Breakers in West Palm Beach, a restoration weekend it's called, and boy, oh boy, does the United States of America and Western civilization need some restoration.
He is the author of his most recent book, The Enemy Within, best-selling author of The Enemy Within.
Mr Horowitz, thank you for joining us.
Thank you for that introduction, Nick.
The Enemy Within is called the Democrat Party, which is an anti-American racist party.
We don't, on the right...
Well, of course, I'm an ex-leftist, which is why I talk the way I do.
But conservatives are too polite for this war we're in to save the country.
The Democrat Party, and I'm a little speechless at what they've done.
Like the news today shows that 800 unaccompanied minors have come into the country.
We've got, I think, about 20,000 now.
It's hard to imagine the hardships these kids have been put through.
They've been sexually abused.
They've got COVID. Biden has imported, for this year, 200,000 COVID carriers, and that's the low figure.
Migrants are COVID carriers, or 16%, as it was reported in McAllen, Texas, today.
But 16%, since we're on track for 2 million illegals entering the country, which the Biden administration is flying, you know, using the Air Force to fly all over the country, that's 320,000 at the peak.
COVID carriers.
You know, of course, the Democrats want an endless epidemic, an endless crisis, because what they really want is total control.
They're totalitarians.
David, one of the things that I know that you've been speaking out a lot about lately and have for a long time is the critical race theory that I know many of the listeners are terrified about.
Let's talk about that for a little bit.
Yeah, well, it's no different.
You can call it a theory, but only academics would call it a theory.
What it is is a slander of the United States that our institutions from the founding are racist, that the Constitution is racist and the Bill of Rights is racist.
You know, in the true founding of 1619, there's all variations of this.
But the main one is that because all of our structures and all of our laws and all of our values reflect our white supremacist character, the leftists shouldn't respect them.
Look, these are all revolutionaries.
These are all Marxists, crypto-Marxists.
It runs right through the whole Biden administration and the Democrat Party.
I mean, I wish there were voices of resistance within the Democrat Party.
I'd feel a lot better about the future of our country.
But a revolutionary is, first of all, a radical, whether we call them radicals now, the revolutionaries, is a criminal because he believes or she believes in total transformation.
If they were, if they don't believe in reform, which means they don't believe in using the system that's in place, Which is a brilliant system, the American system, to reform it.
What they want is to dismantle it.
So they don't respect our laws.
We have to, you know, if you were watching during the summer, those riots, what the heck are they doing?
They're just destroying.
How does that help anything?
But if you think that...
If you think like a revolutionary, that's what you think.
You hate a country that has to limit the immigration because everybody in the world wants to live here.
Well, probably not anymore.
Yeah, well, let me ask you, David.
As you know, in 2076, America will turn 300 years old.
The question is, I know a lot of people are talking about this, and I'd love to get your...
Very fertile mind on this particular question.
Do you think the United States of America can make it to 300 the way that we're going right now?
No, I don't.
I think we're on the brink.
And what can we do to turn that around?
We have to win the...
You know, a lot of the problem is the lack of will on the parts of Republicans.
I mean, they're supporting this infrastructure bill, which is racist.
Why are they supporting it at all?
The Democrats are destroying the economy by printing money.
I don't think we can survive.
We have to win the congressional elections in 2022. And then I hope we would impeach Biden, Harris, Well,
David, let me tell you that you are providing incredible resistance, and so does the Freedom Center, and we're so lucky and delighted to have you fighting for the conservative cause.
David Horowitz, bestselling author of The Enemy Within.
Thank you so much, David.
You are listening to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
I'm Nick Adams and we'll be back in a moment with a whole lot more trending
now on the Eric Metaxas show and the whole point of it was to do comedy from a Christian conservative perspective that wasn't cheesy that didn't make us the joke because isn't it funny that we always have to start there yeah we're doing It's really brilliant, but it's not cheesy.
We're making films, but it's not cheesy.
There's so much that we do that's cheesy.
And it is an amazing thing.
I said it before, but you guys, it's not just not cheesy.
It's brilliant.
And actually, in the world in which we live today...
It's almost the only stuff that's happening at that level.
I mean, there's nothing on the left that can compare to it.
Well, I can tell you why.
The reason there's nothing good on the left right now, and I've followed The Onion for years.
They've been around for 20-plus years.
They used to be very funny.
They're less funny now, and they're less funny now for a very good reason.
You know, the left has made all these rules about what you can and can't say.
And they also have this idea that you can't offend anybody.
So in enforcing these rules, they even do this on comedians.
They try to make comedians follow rules.
You can't say this.
You can't say that.
You can't joke about this.
You can't offend this people.
You can't punch down.
Never punch down.
And so they make all these rules.
And comedians, by their nature...
Flout rules, they make fun of people who make rules.
That's what comedians are supposed to do, right?
That's really their role in all of this.
And so to handcuff comedians in that way, leftists are actually created, by trying to kill comedy and strangle it, they're creating an opportunity for people on the other side of the aisle to say the things that you're not supposed to say, make the jokes you're not supposed to make.
It's fascinating to me to see people who might previously have identified as on the left or something.
pushing back against the cancel culture and the absurdity of this because they usually the ones who were doing that with the right.

Moral mania we're witnessing.
And make no mistake about it, he writes, the pandemic of the unvaccinated PR campaign is the latest in a ceaseless series of such manias dating back to late 2016. Lays bare everything that's abhorrent and nonsensical in modern American politics.

Every now and again you come across somebody that breaks the mould.
And our next guest is certainly an example of both of those things.
Her name is Amanda Mackey.
I like to call her young Amanda Mackey.
She looks about 27 years old.
And Amanda has a very interesting background and she's also running for Congress next year in next year's election.
She's a young lady with an outstanding mind and I thought that we would pick some of those fertile brains of hers on some of the most pressing issues in America today.
Amanda Mackey, thank you for joining us.
Thanks for having me today, Nick.
Amanda, I wanted to ask you, how old are you really?
I'm 43. Okay, so there you go.
Now, I've just broken the cardinal rule, folks.
You're never meant to ask a young lady how old she is.
Wait, wait, wait.
I'm 29. 29. There you go.
That's a much better answer.
There you go.
27, 29. She's around about there.
Amanda, you're the future of America, many people would very kindly and generously say.
And there is some truth to that.
Tell me, what do you think the biggest problems in the United States are today?
You know, you've talked about this a lot when you give speeches, and you talk about how proud you are to be an American, and that's one thing we share in common is that we both came from other countries to the United States.
My situation was a little different.
My parents and I escaped when I was an infant from Iran, and we came here with nothing and worked very hard to achieve the unachievable in most countries except America.
That's what makes this country so wonderful is that you're not limited by your last name.
You're not limited by who you know.
You are only limited by your own drive to succeed.
And that is just something that I think we're losing in America.
Why?
Because President Biden, I always like to say in Joe Biden's America, people are getting paid to sit at home and not work.
They're actually competing with Private enterprise, restaurants, bars, you name it.
They're trying to hire people and they can't because Joe Biden's saying there's fear.
Fear of what's happening in the world and so we're going to pay you to sit at home.
And that is very scary to me.
When I saw what happened last summer with the destruction of our cities, monuments, desecration of where we are and where we have been, that worries me a lot because it...
Tells me that people aren't proud to be a part of the greatest country in the world.
Amanda, how realistic do you think the chances are of the United States of America becoming what President Trump said last year was never going to happen, becoming a socialist country?
I think it already has.
I mean, the price of everything has risen in less than 200 days that President Biden has been in office.
The price of gas has gone up exponentially, a dollar a gallon.
The price of food, poultry, fish, beef, pork, everything has gone up 100%.
And then we're paying people to sit at home, and then we want to spend trillions more money that we don't have to pass more social safety net programs.
That is, to me, the definition of socialism.
Well, Amanda, when we come back, I want to talk more about that with you, and I also want to hear a bit about the race that you're in.
And what that looks like.
Folks, you've been listening to Amanda Mackey on the Dennis Prager Radio Show.

Steven, let's pretend like you were president for a day.
What do we do to get this economy back in shape?
So the first thing we do is we actually think of everything Biden has done and do exactly the opposite.
And I'm not kidding, Carl.
I mean, we do exactly the opposite of what Biden is doing.
You know, we don't need $4 trillion of spending right now.
We need to be, after a crisis is over, and COVID is basically over now, thanks to Trump and the vaccine, usually after, like, World War II or after the Cold War, we actually cut spending.
We need to be aggressively cutting government spending.
By the way, government spending, you know this, Carl.
Where did this crazy idea come from that government spending stimulates?
All the government spending stimulates is government.
It doesn't.
The only way.
Let me put it very simply because this is really important.
I know you know this is a businessman.
The only way that the government can give you $1,000 is to take $1,000 away from me, right?
It's not.
It's a zero-sum game.
And all we're doing is taking money away from producers and giving it to people who don't produce.
That's that formula for disaster.
It's so funny that you mention that.
I talk about that often on my show.
It's frustrating to hear Biden talk about it, but it's even more...
It's scary to me that people believe it, that there's such a lack of understanding when it comes to economics.
It completely baffles me.
It completely scares me that he could say the things that he says about inflation and just completely get away with it.
Now, think about somebody like Joe Biden.
What has Joe Biden done in his life?
Well, he's never had a job.
I mean, all he's done is he's been in government his whole life.

She is not just a congressional candidate.
She's an attorney.
She's a television commentator.
And we've been speaking to her about socialism in America.
We've heard a little bit about her story.
I'd like to hear a little bit, Amanda, about your race and what's going on.
Sure.
So I am running for the Republican nomination to be the congressional candidate for...
Florida's 13th Congressional District.
So that is basically the St. Petersburg Clearwater area of Florida.
Yes, it's a nice place.
And I hope to represent you, Nick Adams, in Congress one day because you will likely be living in my district.
There you go.
Now you've told everyone where I live.
Well done, Amanda.
So, Amanda, is this a seat that is winnable?
It absolutely is winnable with the right Republican candidate.
So, you know, Pinellas County is a county where we're going to take a little bit more of Pinellas County, make it a little bit more conservative, so it's likely to be a Republican-leaning district.
This was a seat that was held for five decades by Congressman Bill Young, someone who was known to be not only an excellent statesman, but just an overall good person who cared deeply about our veterans.
And we need to restore it to that, because for the past six years, it's been Charlie Crist.
And if anyone knows or remembers Charlie Crist, he has been a turncoat every step of his career.
He is now running for governor, which is making this an open seat.
I'm wanting to represent the district in Congress and would be grateful if people would go to my website, amandamackey.com and would think about contributing because that's what it's going to take.
It's going to take fundraising and it's going to take a lot of work because the Democrats are going to spend millions to keep this seat and we're going to flip it.
We are absolutely going to flip it.
Amanda, if you are elected, what would your legislative priorities be?
Well, I think, first of all, the most important thing right now is the economy.
What is happening, especially if you look at our county, you have a lot of people who are on fixed income.
And if the price of fuel and food and everything is rising and you have hyperinflation in the market, people who are on a fixed income, retirees, veterans, how are they going to be able to afford to live?
And I think that is something that people fear right now.
Critical race theory is a huge threat.
To American culture.
And the fact that the Democrats are pushing for racism-based teachings in our schools, that is something that we have to fight tooth and nail.
And that's what Congress needs to make sure that they push back on vehemently, introduce legislation to stop it.
But most importantly, I think still top of people's minds, is the election.
And the election fraud and what potentially the Democrats are looking to push in HR1, which is...
Basically doing away with states' rights.
They want to take away states, 36 states that have voter ID laws.
They want to do away with that.
They want to require mail-in balloting.
All of those things, if you have a Republican-led Congress, we will fight against that, and we will introduce legislation that requires voter ID laws.
I think that is a huge thing.
I was a Trump attorney in Wisconsin for the recount in November, and I oversaw a lot of those vote counts that were happening and recounts that were happening.
Absolutely.
I can tell you that they looked the other way because of COVID, and they allowed mail-in ballots that were missing the conditions precedent required for a mail-in ballot, and they included them.
Wow.
Yeah, there's certainly a lot there, Amanda.
And I know that election integrity is at the forefront of people's minds, without a doubt.
And I'm glad that you mentioned that as something that you would be addressing as Congresswoman Mackey.
Potentially in 2023. There's a lot of talk right now about vaccinations and there's obviously a spike with COVID. What do you apportion that spike to?
Yeah.
Well, it's very much, if you look at where the spikes were during the winter months, they were in the Northeast, where the weather's colder and people are inside their homes.
Everyone's congregated inside their homes.
Now it's summertime here.
Obviously, we are very warm in the Tampa area.
And so people are all stuck at home.
I will tell you, when I got COVID, I got very, very sick.
And the only thing that was able to save me and help me was a drug called ivermectin.
For 10 days, I couldn't break a fever of over 100 degrees, and I was able to do that when I got ivermectin.
So I think there are other alternatives out there, too.
Wow.
Thank you for sharing that, Amanda.
Well, it's been a pleasure to have you.
Thank you.
Thank you for coming, and we wish you the best of luck on your campaign.

Matt Taibbi says, I'm vaccinated.
I think people should be vaccinated.
But the latest...
Moral mania we're witnessing.
And make no mistake about it, he writes, the pandemic of the unvaccinated PR campaign is the latest in a ceaseless series of such manias dating back to late 2016. Lays bare everything that's abhorrent and nonsensical in modern American politics.
I think that's such a smart...
In fact, those panelists on The Five yesterday were very wisely pointing out, Greg Gutfeld said to Geraldo, if you're trying to be persuasive, buddy, it ain't working.
It ain't working.

Here's Chris on line one.
Hey, Chris, did Geraldo...
Help you make up your mind about the vaccine?
Totally, totally.
Now, I'm really pissed off because my sister is a state worker, and she doesn't want to get the vaccine, but she has to do it.
So I was going to basically get it to help her move on, okay?
But after hearing him, I'm not going to do it.

It's time.
It's time for the fearless.
There's no time for the meek.
This is America's moment, what's taking place in our schools, the crime in our cities.
All of these things that we can see unraveling this most exceptional nation.
It's time for the real believers and the real conservatives to step forward and be absolutely fearless in doing so.
But I think a lot of Americans have woken up.
And so we don't even know what is going on on the grassroots level because you can't keep track of everything.
But I think people are rising.
And they're looking for folks like you and the handful of others in Congress.
And they're saying, we can no longer do business as usual.

Welcome back.
You're listening to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
This is Nick Adams.
Give us a call.
Tell us what's on your mind.
We would love to hear from you.
I understand we have Tom from Glendora, California on the line.
G'day, Tom.
G'day, mate.
Put another shrimp on the barbie.
There you go.
A little bit British, but you're getting there.
It's not too bad, Tom.
It's pretty weak, but first of all, I'd like to...
I commend you.
You're a great American patriot, sir.
It's wonderful to hear you subbing for Dennis.
I can't thank you enough for your wisdom.
God bless you, sir.
Thank you.
I really appreciate it, Tom.
It's well-deserved.
I'm deeply troubled, as most Americans are, I think, Nick, as this country is on the verge of going from a good, God-based nation, as you said, the best in history, into a Marxist, Satan-driven...
Hellhole of communism, murder, and oppression.
My question to you, sir, as a former, I guess, citizen of Australia and being very intimately informed about the condition of that country, tragically, it seems they're even in worse shape than we are in going down this horrible rat hole.
What wise advice do you have to us Americans, and you too for that matter, what can we do, based on your wisdom from your experience, to fight and kill off this evil attempt to ruin the country?
Tom, thank you very much for your call, and it's probably the most important question that I can be asked.
You're exactly right.
I left Australia to come to the United States of America because the United States of America was different.
The United States of America offered opportunity and possibilities that, unfortunately, my country of birth did not.
Australia, contrary to the international perception, is actually a very socialist kind of place and has been for a long time.
Now, that's not to say that it's all entirely bad, The place for me to be.
And indeed, the way to save America is to exercise fidelity to the foundational principles of the United States, those found in the Constitution, in the Declaration of Independence, in the Federalist Papers.
The recipe for American recovery is in those documents.
We don't need to reinvent the wheel.
We don't need to do anything different.
All we need to do is exercise loyalty to what we've always been.
And it's crazy that we would try and adopt all of the stuff from other places that people have left to come here for.
Why would we want to replicate that?
So that's what we're facing.
That's what we need to do.
That would be my advice.
We're finishing the first hour of the Dennis Prager radio show, but the good news is we have another two to go.
I'm Nick Adams filling in for Dennis Prager.

This insane reversal.
We've been told by Biden, by Fauci, if you're vaccinated, you don't need a mask.
Now you do, perhaps for the rest of eternity, that this decision is based apparently on an unpublished, unpeer-reviewed publication from India about a vaccine that you can't even get here in America.
Yeah, and it's actually even better than that because they didn't even understand the study.
Because in the CDC slide deck, they refer to it as a study in healthcare professionals, when in fact it was a study in simulated persons in a laboratory.
It was not a study in actual human beings.
It was a simulation?
Yes, it was a simulation.
It was a lab simulation in India using vaccines that are not used in the United States.
That failed peer review.
So it had already been rejected for publication at the time that they relied on it in this slide deck.
And now they are sort of, you know, scrambling for other justifications for the policy, having already rolled it out.
And just an hour or two ago, they rushed out a new study out of Provincetown, Massachusetts, that I suppose is now the new justification for it, the India Study.
Having been discredited.

Steven, let's pretend like you were president for a day.
What do you mean?
It's scary to me that people believe it.
There's such a lack of understanding when it comes to economics that it completely baffles me.
It completely scares me that he could say the things that he says about inflation and just completely get away with it.
Think about somebody like Joe Biden.
What has Joe Biden done in his life?
Well, he's never had a job.
He's been in government his whole life.

Well, there's so much that we do that's cheesy.

What's the number?

That's 1-8 Prager 7-7-6.
And we are talking about a variety of different things today, a real smorgasbord.
And I know that we've got some calls and we're going to go to those in a moment.
But first I wanted to speak about wokeness.
Wokeness in the United States.
Everywhere we look, everything we do now, we're being affected by this epidemic.
And yes, I'm not referring to COVID. I am referring to wokeness.
Woke madness that we see is cannibalizing the United States of America, the greatest country in the history of the world.
No one speaks about this better than the great man Victor Davis Hanson.
Most Americans were as indifferent to the U.S. women's soccer team's recent loss to Sweden in the Olympics.
As they were excited about the team's World Cup win in 2019. In between was the team's non-stop politicking, from whining about compensation to virtue signalling their disrespect for the United States.
The celebrity face of the team, the perennial scold Megan Rapinoe, is going the way of teenage grouch Greta Thunberg.
Becoming more pinched the more she's tuned out.
Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrice Marie Kahn-Cullors Brignac used her corporate grifting to buy four homes.
The one she bought in California's Topanga Canyon is surrounded by a new $35,000 security fence.
Critical race theory guru Ibram X. Kendi offers virtual one-hour workshops for $20,000 a pop.
He is franchising woke re-education kits in between bouts of damning capitalism as a catalyst of racism.
The woke movement is a slicker, more sophisticated and far more grandiose version of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson's shakedowns of the 1990s.
Those, at least, were far more honest in leveraging cash with charges of racism and came without the academic gobbledygook of critical race theory.
Our freeways are jammed.
Airports are crammed.
Labor is short.
Huge pent-up consumer demand for essentials and entertainment outpaces supply.
Yet Major Leagues Baseball's recent All-Star Game...
Saw record low television viewership about a quarter of the audience of 40 years ago when there were 100 million fewer Americans.
The Summer Olympic Games as well are getting anemic TV ratings.
The NBA's crashing TV ratings have followed the downward trajectory of the NFL's ratings.
Woke sports earn the same public disgust.
As the accusatory and boring Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards.
Americans are worn out from elite virtue signalling and woke performance art, from critical race theory capitalists, multi-millionaire CEOs, revolving door Pentagon brass, Malibu celebrities and credentialed elites.
Cable news networks, CNN and MSNBC, Fuelled the story that former President Donald Trump allegedly colluded with Russia.
They contextualised to excuse the summer looting and rioting of 2020, and they cheered on to impeachments as a prelude to their 24-7 woke drumbeat.
Their ratings, too, have now dived.
Never has TV been more politicised.
Sitcoms, dramas and commercials are designed more to resonate woke messaging than to entertain.
So naturally, dismal TV ratings reflect the expected public boredom that ensues when art serves politics.
How many times will disingenuous Dr Anthony Fauci swear that he never sent federal money to the Wuhan Virology Lab for gain-of-function research?
Or blame his critics for pointing out his gyrating advice on masks or offer yet another noble lie on herd immunity.
In short, Americans are worn out from elite virtue signaling and woke performance art, from critical race theory capitalists, multi-millionaire CEOs, revolving door pentagon brass,
Malibu celebrities, The problem is not just that most of America is exhausted from being smeared as racists or hearing that a wonderful country, the most free, just, equitable, affluent and leisured in civilization's history, must continually pay penance for its past and present.
The public is more tired of projectionist hypocrisy.
Those who scream the loudest are usually the most guilty of woke crimes.
The woke madness coincides with an epidemic of crises that go largely ignored as a distracted America cannibalizes itself.
The border is being breached at a time of pandemic.
Migrants barge in without either COVID-19 testing or vaccinations during a coronavirus spike that has government officials talking about going door to door.
To roust out American citizens to get vaccinated.
Whiteness is supposedly the cause of America's problems, but our inner cities are suffering historic levels of violent crime.
Couldn't our critical race theory accusers take time out from their merchandising to address the soaring violence?
The Biden administration denies that huge deficit spending and generous cash payments To work as fuelled inflation.
But America hasn't seen anything like the current price hikes and labour shortages in the last 40 years.
The military, CIA and FBI have lost the confidence of the public.
And not just because of their woke politicking.
They are perceived as distracted and ignoring their primary missions of winning wars, catching terrorists before they strike.
And offering superb intelligence about our enemies.
Wokeness is many, many, many things.
But increasingly, it seems a cover for careerism, profiteering and utter incompetence.
And if we keep going the way that we are going, we are going to lose America to this epidemic of wokeness.
It is high time that we push back, that we fight back, that we muster every ounce of patriotism from the soles of our feet to the tops of our heads to deal with this scourge which is simply socialism and communism disguised as an academic theory.
Critical race theory is the deliberate and reckless depiction, defamatory depiction, of this country as a bad place.
America, just like any human being, is not perfect.
But this is easily the greatest country that we've ever seen.
And we would not want to live in a world without the United States of America.
What's good for America is good for the world.
When America is strong, the world is strong.
When America is weak and woke, the rest of the world is weak and woke.
And that means that everybody is poorer and less secure.
So as Americans, let's get together.
Let's end this wokeness.
Let's push back.
Let's fight for our values.
Let's honor our gallant American servicemen and women and fight this scourge here at home domestically.
I'm Nick Adams and you're listening to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.

Which is very interesting because it's been 13 days since the District of Columbia last reported a death with COVID. We've had 11 homicides in the last 13 days, but zero deaths with COVID. Maybe they should ban homicides, Phil.

He lives in Naperville, Illinois, and owns the credential of professional certified coach through the ICF. His brand new book is Manhood Manifesto.
Welcome, Mike.
Nick, thank you so much for having me, man.
It's really an honour to be here.
I really appreciate it.
We're really delighted to have you, Mike.
And the reason why I wanted to have you on is that you write about a really interesting topic and one that I discuss a lot because I'm really fascinated with culture and the kinds of issues that...
You deal with in Manhood Manifesto.
And even the gentleman that I'm filling in for right now, Dennis Prager, he also is very interested in matters of culture and gender and all of that kind of stuff.
So when I saw that you had this new book out, I wanted to make sure that we got you on so that we could have a chat about a few different things.
What is the condition of masculinity right now in the United States of America, would you say?
Well, Nick, I think it's pretty clear it's under constant attack.
You know, what I've been listening to is, you know, I've listened to your show for the last hour and a half, and, you know, this attack of wokeism is a direct attack on masculinity and masculine expression.
And you can see it every single day in the media, in films, in TV shows, in news reporters.
I mean, you see it everywhere.
I mean, if you express yourself in a traditional masculine way, you're instantly going to be called toxic.
It's going to be labeled as part of the patriarchy, and chances are you'll be called a misogynist.
So that's just the nature of it.
That's the environment we live in today.
Yeah.
Well, so tell me, is this something that's unique to the United States of America, Mike, because...
Masculinity really seems to mean different things in different cultures.
Mm-hmm.
Well, Nick, I only speak about the United States of America because I'm born and bred here, and I'm an American, and I've been overseas a few times, but I think when you look at how this nation was founded, it was really founded on the principles of freedom, which is a...
It's not uniquely masculine, but it really is a kind of a masculine idea of freedom, independence, solidarity, sovereignty.
Self-direction, self-government.
You know, these are values that are founded in courage.
And, you know, one of the things I saw that you said is a willingness to fail.
And I think that's fundamentally what America is about.
And you've also talked a few times about how this pull toward wokeness is trying to make us the same as before, the same as every other country in the world.
You know, America is a unique entity.
It is a unique idea.
There's no other place on the globe that started out to be self-governed.
We're completely unique.
And I think the place I take from the book is really a unique one for the States.
That's very interesting.
American men are unique, just like men from all other places are.
So let me ask you, what can American women do to help men achieve the opportunity and the greatness that you describe?
Do they have to change anything?
Well, you know, I don't want to blame women.
This is really about guys stepping up and owning their own selves.
Guys stepping up and taking responsibility for what's going on.
I think one of the challenges we've had as men, because of this constant attack we've had, we've kind of abdicated our role or going down in the shadows or kind of like laid back and not been expressed and kind of deferred our leadership to Either women or the more feminine viewpoint.
And, you know, so I think what there is is actually have, you know, what women can do is actually hold their men to the standard of being men, just being what they're supposed to be, to provide, to protect, and to leave a legacy.
I think that's at the core of what being a man is about.
Yeah, without a doubt.
Now, as you would know, things like the divorce laws, things like child custody laws.
All of that is really slanted very heavily against men.
Yes.
Just about every law that's created is slanted against men.
And if that's okay, some of these laws, I mean, what we've got to be responsible as men is there have been things we've done that has generated some of these responsibilities, and we can't look the other way.
We've got to self-police.
We've got to be responsible for our actions, and we've got to take on the practice of leadership again.
We certainly do.
We certainly do.
I mean, I think one of the greatest struggles, though, Mike, is that you're really not allowed to be a man anymore, because when you do behave like a man, all of a sudden, you know, everyone turns against you, and, you know, you're considered to be too aggressive and too strident and too overpowering.
I mean, one of the reasons why I raised earlier was, you know, the different...
Because, I mean, I've lived in different places, and what it means to be a man in the United States is very different to what, you know, it means to be a man in other places.
In other places, a man is someone that has control over his family, whose kids listen to him, whose wife respects him.
And here it's kind of more you grow a beard and, you know, you grill and you go hunting and...
That makes you a man.
It's just very different.
Mike, are you able to hang over with us so we can have you on for another segment?
Because this stuff's really interesting.
We'll be right back with a whole lot more with Mike Sherrick.
The book is Manhood Manifesto.
Wonderful book.
Highly recommend it.
We'll be right back.

I mean, if you're going to censor yourself in deference to that power that's above you, that's telling you what you can and can't say, you know, then you are the joke.
You're not making jokes.
You are the joke.
Comedians, you know, in our situation, you know, what we look at is what we're doing.
We're often accused, we lately have been accused of punching down.
We're punching back.
We're not punching down.
This is a situation where conservatives are literally on the ropes in the culture battle, and they're defending themselves against this top-down attack, this top-down tyranny from progressive ideology that's coming from celebrities, it's coming from corporations, it's coming from politicians.
We're not punching down.
We're punching back at that stuff.
So how big has the Babylon be?
It's grown dramatically, but give us some numbers so we have a sense of...
Where you've come from in the last four years.
Well, so in the last four years, I mean, we've just reached, we've crossed the one million follower threshold on most of our social media.
You know what?
I believe I was the one million follower.
Were you?
And don't I get something?
You get something.
You get like a million, what is the currency in Venezuela?
Zloty?
No, that's another country.
Yeah, it's worth almost nothing.
I think you get 30 cents.
But you know what?
That's better than nothing.
It's almost nothing, but it's not nothing.
A million followers on Twitter, a million followers on Instagram, a million followers on Facebook.
Oh, on all these platforms.
Yeah, on each of them.
But here's the thing.
That million is worth more than the normal million.
What I mean is, anybody who appreciates the humor of the Babylon Bee has to be sophisticated.
Because it is brilliant humor.
It's not broad.
It's not stupid humor.
It's brilliant humor.
You have to be aware of...
Who you're making fun of and whatever.
The funniest thing is sometimes we go for the low-hanging dumb jokes.
This insane reversal.
We've been told by Biden, by Fauci, if you're vaccinated, you don't need a mask now.
Now you do, perhaps for the rest of eternity, that this decision is based apparently on an unpublished, unpeer-reviewed publication from India about a vaccine that you can't even get here in America.
Yeah, and it's actually even better than that because they didn't even understand the study because in the CDC slide deck they refer to it as a study in healthcare professionals when in fact it was a study in simulated persons in a laboratory.
It was not a study in actual human beings.
It was a simulation?
Yes, it was a simulation.
It was a lab simulation in India using vaccines that are not used in the United States.
And that failed peer review.
So it had already been rejected for publication at the time that they relied on it in this slide deck.
And now they are sort of scrambling for other justifications for the policy, having already rolled it out.
And just an hour or two ago, they rushed out a new study out of Provincetown, Massachusetts, that I suppose is now the new justification for it, the India study.

Welcome back to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
I'm Nick Adams and I am filling in for the great man himself, Dennis Prager.
It is a pleasure to have your company.
We have been speaking with Mike Sherrick, a leader, father, partner, friend, brother and coach.
He's written a brand new book called Manhood Manifesto.
It's a book that deals with masculinity, the role of men in American society.
We've been having a fascinating conversation with him, as you know.
Both Dennis and I are very interested in these kind of cultural issues.
This is one of the few shows that really gets airtime, and I think it's something that we definitely need to speak about because it is at the root of so many things that we are experiencing in the country right now.
Welcome back, Mike.
Thanks for being with us.
Hey, Nick.
Thank you again.
So before the break, we were discussing what it means to be a man in different places and the laws and how everything is kind of slanted against everyday men.
Men are afraid to ask a woman out on a date.
Men are terrified of being shut down if they act on their masculine impulses.
What's the best advice that you would give men today, a young man's day?
That's a great question, Nick.
I was just having a conversation earlier and the best advice I would give them is to get some on them, just to fully engage in whatever they're committed to.
If you want to ask a girl out, go ask her out.
If she says no, guess what?
You're no worse off.
If you want to take a shot at a new job, go apply for the job.
Go introduce yourself.
One of the things that's been lost is because of this constant barrage on men and masculinity is we've been withholding.
We've been withholding ourselves.
We've been hanging back.
That's got to stop.
You know, I just sent a message to my publisher.
I think we should change the subtitle of the book from, you know, how men must lead at home, at work, and in the public sphere to how to be an anti-wokester.
You know, I've been listening to your program and this scourge of wokeness has really impacted men in America.
We've got to put an end to it.
And the most effective way to do that is to be a bulwark and be a stand for what you believe and to engage fully in life.
Without a doubt, without a doubt.
As we were speaking about earlier, it's increasingly difficult for men to do that.
You know, a young man might be...
Uncomfortable in asking the young lady out these days because, you know, they're worried that that is going to be construed as sexual harassment if it's in a workplace setting, say.
Yeah.
I mean, what other ways...
I mean, would your advice be that men should just be men and not worry about the consequences in today's reality?
Well, I think you have to be responsible for whatever you do, and you've got to operate with honor and respect all the time.
I think one of the things that's missing, Nick, and one of the challenges we've had is we've had almost two generations now that have been developed and grown and taught with really an absence of male leadership and mentorship.
And I think one of the things that has to happen is we've got to begin the process again of mentoring young men, Teaching them what it means to operate in an ethical, masculine way.
What it means to really operate and to help them engage in and discover truly who they are.
You know, one of the things I discover all the time is there's a real problem with guys.
Their level of self-awareness is nowhere near what it is with women.
And I think part of that is...
As guys, we haven't done a good job of socializing from the standpoint of coming together and really discussing the challenges we face.
We hold it all in, and there's no structures inside the schools.
There's no structures inside our families.
We've got 45% of the young men today are raised in single-parent households, and 95% of those are led by women.
So you've got this skewed of young men.
That really don't even know how to stand up to go to the bathroom.
You know?
I mean, it's remarkable.
And so, we really...
Go ahead, Nick.
I'm sorry.
No, no.
Please, go on.
Finish up.
No.
No, no.
What I mean is we really need to start being responsible for how our young men and our boys are raised.
You know, we cannot defer that anymore to women.
The man is Mike Sherrick.
The book is Manhood Manifesto.
Thank you for joining us today, Mike.

Since the District of Columbia last reported a death with COVID, we've had 11 homicides in the last 13 days, but zero deaths with COVID. Maybe they should ban homicides, Phil.
Yeah, right.
Well, or at least maybe have a little bit more vigorous enforcement of the existing laws against them.

You are listening to Nick Adams, the guy with the funny accent, is filling in for the one, the only, the inimitable Dennis Prager.
And I believe that we have some calls on the line.
Let's go to...
Just pick one, Sean.
Let's have fun with this.
Gary in Arizona.
G'day, Gary.
Hey, hello, brother.
Hey, the way I was looking at things lately is, you know, after decades of suppression of the boys and the men and lifting up of the women and giving them a voice, which is fine, That part of it.
But why are so many young ladies now joining the patriarchy?
I mean, they're deserting the cause and they're running and joining the enemy to be the suppressor.
Why is that?
Yeah, it's an interesting question.
Thank you for your call.
Certainly one that we spoke about last segment and I think one that a lot of people are asking themselves.
What role is feminism?
Females, what are they going to play in?
In terms of the condition of masculinity in the United States of America, can we all agree that we need strong masculinity for this country to be strong?
Let's go to another call.
Brian in South Carolina.
G'day, Brian.
You're online.
Yeah, I just wanted to say, I think fear is really a motivating factor for young men not to ask women out.
I mean, I'm grateful I grew up in the...
You know, late 80s and early 90s.
And I think back, and I probably wouldn't have made the decisions I made to, you know, ask my wife out and marry her, you know, years later.
And because I am a shy person, and I was especially shy back then, and I could see how, you know, just the fear of making a mistake could really, really motivate, especially some young men who are good men.
Good, you know, maybe shy men, but good men.
Some of the not-so-good men, like Cuomo, he's out there doing what he wants to do, and that's a lot of women's experience with men now, these bad men.
So a lot of great men out there are not making a move, so to speak, just to meet women and ask them out.
Gary, thank you for your call.
That's absolutely right.
Look, I hear it all the time.
Young men say all the time, look, I really want to ask this girl out for a cup of coffee, but I'm worried because in the context I'm either her superior or it might be construed that I have different motives and, you know, I really don't know what to do.
And so men have become very timid, and I don't think that there are good outcomes, personal or cultural, and for that matter, for the state of the country.
1-8 Prager 776, 1-8 Prager 776. Let's hear from John in the great city of Chicago, my favorite city in the United States.
Hi, thanks for taking my call.
You know, I hear a lot of talk about, you know, from conservatives about how men need to be more masculine and all this stuff.
But I mean, I look at guys like Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson and Charlie Kirk.
I mean, these are trust fund, manicured golf resort elitists who wouldn't know how to...
Start a lawnmower or use a pair of pliers.
I mean, how are these the masculine men that average working class Americans are supposed to think are their heroes?
I don't buy it.
Well, okay, first of all, have you dated these guys?
How do you know all these things?
You're assuming.
You don't know.
You don't know whether these guys can start a lawnmower or use pliers or not.
Okay, well, let me ask you this.
I mean, you're an Australian, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
I now live in the United States of America.
Okay, but I'll tell you who Donald Trump has been my whole life.
He's been that boastful, arrogant guy on television telling me how rich and isolated he is and how far above average working people he's been.
He's always been desperate to be defined by his pampered opulence and elitism.
You think Donald Trump has ever mowed a lawn?
Are you joking?
Well, let me tell you something.
Let me tell you something.
I think all you're demonstrating on this call is your insecurity.
I think you feel threatened because you're not as much of a man as Donald Trump is.
No, sir.
No, sir.
I think that's what it is.
Sir, I work with my hands for a living.
What I'm expressing is incredulous at the idea that Donald Trump is suddenly a champion for average working people when he has never gotten his hands dirty ever once in his life.
But that's irrelevant.
If he's got great policies for people that are in blue-collar jobs, that's something that you should celebrate.
He did more for people that work like you do than any other president previously.
You should be kissing his feet, quite frankly.
Thank you for your call.
Let's go to the next caller.
G'day, Sebastian, from the great state of Texas.
I know you're going to be better than the caller from Chicago.
Fantastic.
I can't believe I'm on air.
Mind-blowing.
You're welcome.
I'm going to tell you the truth.
I really have never listened to this show, but I have a ton of respect for Dennis Prager.
I'm very interested in Prager U. He's a good man.
Are you there?
Great organization, too.
Yes.
So, anyway, the reason I'm calling, though, I mean, I can go on and on about masculinity and all that, and to be honest...
I have written about these things in a book that I wrote, and actually, coincidentally, by the grace of God, I just decided to call.
I've never listened to this show.
Well, I appreciate you calling.
Thank you for your call.
Unfortunately, we are coming up to a hard break, but it's been a pleasure listening to those calls, and the good news is there are going to be more calls that we're going to take very soon.
You're listening to The Dennis Prager Show.
So don't go anywhere.
So don't go anywhere.
Steven, let's pretend like you were president for a day.
What do we do to get this economy back in shape?
So the first thing we do is we actually do exactly, think of everything Biden has done and do exactly the opposite.
All the government spending stimulates.
You know what?
It's so funny that you mention that.
I talk about that often on my show.
And one of the things...
It's frustrating to hear Biden talk about it, but it's even more...
It's scary to me that people believe it, that there's such a lack of understanding when it comes to economics that it completely baffles me.
It completely scares me that he could say the things that he says about inflation and just completely get away with it.
Now, think about somebody like Joe Biden.
What has Joe Biden done in his life?
Well, he's never had a job.
I mean, he's been in government his whole life.

Yeah.
It's really brilliant, but it's not cheesy.
Like, we're making films, but it's not cheesy.
It's a TV program, but it's not cheesy.
Well, there's so much that we do that's cheesy.
And they also have this idea... ...and they're going
to be...
My name is Nick Adams, filling in for the great man himself.
It's an honour, pleasure and privilege to be here.

In the last few minutes we have this hour.
We would love to get to some more calls.
So let's go straight out to Brian.
G'day, Brian.
You've got something to say to...
The gentleman in Chicago.
Yes, good day.
Glad to have you on the show.
Hey, real quickly, I recognized early on when Donald J. Trump came down that escalator, and I began to see all of the kickback and the pushback from really liking this guy, especially from men.
And I identified it as purely this.
So many guys in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s have so much envy for an individual like Donald Trump that has done so much in the business world, the financial world, his industry, and they purely hate him because they're insecure about themselves. and they purely hate him because they're insecure about themselves.
They never amounted to anything in their life.
Therefore, they look at Trump and they hate him.
And it's not about his policies.
It's not about the things that are good for America.
It's all personality-driven.
Look, he doesn't have the best bedside manner.
We know that.
Brian, you're absolutely right.
You're absolutely right.
All these guys are beta males that are jealous of President Trump's strength.
They are put off by his aggression.
He calls a spade a shovel.
And quite frankly, that's exactly what America needed and still needs.
Thank you for your call.
Okay, there's a gentleman in Los Angeles, I think, who's going to disagree.
David!
G'day, Dave!
Davey, how are you, Davey?
Hi, you said that...
Hi, you said that...
...more for the common man than any previous president?
That's funny, considering Franklin Deliver and Roosevelt created tens of millions of jobs and created social security so that they wouldn't be destitute after they were done working.
So, Davey, let me ask you, let me ask you then, are you disputing that Donald Trump was good for blue-collar workers?
Are you disputing that Donald Trump was good for blue-collar workers?
No, it's not besides the point.
It is the point.
Donald Trump was the best thing that happened for blue-collar workers.
You don't like him.
No, no.
It's not about whether he's creating millions of jobs.
Why are you comparing apples with oranges?
If you just take it...
Listen, I don't want you to burst a blood vessel.
Just relax.
We're having a normal conversation.
I'm telling you that Donald Trump was very good for blue-collar workers.
I'm telling you that Donald Trump was very good for America.
The only people that don't like Donald Trump and don't like what Donald Trump did for America are jealous, insecure men that call themselves men shouldn't call themselves men like you.
Thank you for your call.

Democrats have doubled down on radical indoctrination in schools with their embrace of critical race theory.
School boards and teachers unions have rushed to implement CRT into their curricula, in some cases while avoiding parental notification.
Even as these education leaders refused to reopen schools to children, they now plan to use their near monopoly on education to push this highly controversial ideology.
It's already begun to backfire.
Parents have begun demanding answers from school boards and campaigned to unseat their members.
Political reports that even Democratic voters are repelled by these plans, and that the radical efforts have fired up independent and conservative voters.
The combination of closures and radical agendas have handed Republicans their best opening in decades.
With parents under attack by the education establishment, now is the time to demand comprehensive school choice.
The choice between liberty and bureaucratic domination over children is now crystal clear in all demographics and areas.
The GOP needs to wake up to this golden opportunity.

Most Americans, if they can finally focus, they just look up and they say, wait a minute.
You're telling me the people burning down buildings aren't doing anything wrong.
They're peaceful protesters.
In other words, your average American who doesn't have a voice the way you do or I do looks around and says, This has gone too far.
Madness has been unleashed on the land.
I need to do something for my kids, for my grandkids.
I thought freedom was a free ride, and I realize now, nope, I'm going to have to pick up my gun and go to the front lines.
Maybe not literally, but it's a similar thing.
You realize that everything you held near and dear is being threatened directly.
And when your kids are being threatened, you don't care.
You're just going to do whatever it takes.
It's about the kids.
You know that instinct.
You know what the Lord teaches us about parenting?
These parents aren't about to take this.
They're not about to allow this to happen in their schools.
They may not have seen it because they worked, but you know, I think the combination of having their kids at home during COVID, I think the left's movement, I think the idea somehow that our country was ill-founded, the 1619 Project.
This idea that we're racist because we're white, this is something parents are not going to sit back and allow to be propagated.
And so it'll take a little time to regain control of these city councils, of these school boards, of these state boards or regions that have allowed our university system to become, right?

*music* G'day, g'day, g'day!
Welcome back, America!
This is the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
I am Nick Adams, filling in for Dennis Prager on this August 6, 2021. We are in the greatest country of them all, the greatest ever known to man, the greatest in history, the United States of America, and you're listening to the best radio program in that place.
Give us a call.
Tell us what's on your mind.
It's a pleasure to have your company.
1-8 Prager 776. That's 1-8 Prager 776 or 877-243-7776.
Wow, Sean, we've got a full screen of callers here.
Okay, let's go to Gary in Glendale.
G'day, Gary.
Hi, how are you?
I'm really good, Gary.
Thank you for asking.
What's on your mind?
Well, I've got a lot of problems with what's going on in this country.
I am a combat veteran.
I was in your country in 1969, and I was treated very well.
Unfortunately, you had somebody who did something, and they just went for total gun control, which was a big mistake.
But anyway, I think one of the things that people should know and pay attention to...
It's the Constitution and the founders who put this thing together, how our Constitution is formed.
It's not just to read it.
You should know why each part was put in as it was.
So I've been reading this in order, but most of the people don't think they want to do that.
But I'm glad you're there, and I hope you get a permanent position on this radio show.
Well, I really appreciate that.
Thank you very much.
Gary, first of all, thank you for your service.
Second of all, you're absolutely right.
It is the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Federalist Papers, the founding principles contained in those documents that are going to save this place, that is going to turn this ship around, that's going to allow us to celebrate our 300th birthday, our third centennial.
In 2076. Thank you very much for your call.
Let's go to Dave in Cleveland, Ohio.
G'day, Dave.
Hey, how you doing, Nick?
I was listening in the other hour about masculinity and Trump and everything, and I think what people fail to understand is being masculine is standing up for what is right, and that's what Trump and guys like Tucker Carlson do.
And also, if I'm not mistaken, Trump spent his young manhood growing up on construction sites.
Now, I don't know if he nailed, you know, hammered some nails or trowed some cement, but I'm sure it took a pretty strong man to run a construction site for a big building in New York City.
And finally, all these people who are complaining are the people who grew up in a society where they got their participation trophies.
And we're coddled and mommy, you know, poo-pooed it off, you know, cried about them getting a boo-boo instead of telling them to suck it up and move on and let's puff it up, you know?
Dave, thank you for your call.
You're absolutely right.
We are living, unfortunately, in a time where everybody gets a trophy, where everyone is rewarded for just participating, winning and striving for greatness and disdaining mediocrity and all of that stuff is out the window, tragically, and to America's enormous detriment.
You're absolutely right.
Look, being a man is standing up for what you believe in.
Being a man is being confident.
Being a man is being bold.
And sadly, a lot of those traits now are just unwelcome in modern day American society.
And as I say, that is having a tremendously adverse effect on the health, the strength, the robustness of the nation.
America is a country that just by virtue of its existence, its size, it needs to be confident.
It needs to be assertive.
Otherwise, we have really bad outcomes, not just in the United States, but everywhere.
Think about what would happen if the United States of America were to all of a sudden just disappear.
North Korea would invade South Korea.
Taiwan would be overrun by China.
Russia would rebuild the Soviet Empire.
Islamic terrorists would act with complete impunity.
Tyrants in North Africa would run around even more mercilessly than what they already do.
These are realities if America doesn't have those masculine traits of leadership, of boldness, of assertiveness, of all of that kind of stuff.
And that's why this is such a critical, critical issue.
I want to go to Steve in Chicago.
Steve?
Steven, you there?
Yeah, can you hear me?
Yes, I got you loud and clear, Steve.
Great, thanks for taking the call.
So you say that Donald Trump was good for the working man, but Nick, that's just not accurate.
So let me give you a couple factual reasons.
You tell me.
Okay, one, he...
He declared bankruptcy with many of his companies, and they went bankrupt because he loaded them up with debt and pulled out cash, and he left thousands of people unpaid.
Two, companies he didn't declare bankruptcy with, he would stiff the workers and the small businessmen.
Okay?
Three, and here's the last point.
He left this country with a 9% unemployment rate.
He was the first president since the Great Depression to have a net loss in jobs, and that was because of his incompetent leadership over COVID.
So, he was not going to be a good person.
Okay, so you've given me your fantasy version.
Let me tell you what the reality is.
First of all, I have absolutely no idea how you could possibly know all of these things about Donald Trump's past.
Were you his financial advisor?
Were you his accountant?
Were you his attorney?
How do you know who he stiffed and who he didn't stiff and if he stiffed anybody?
That's just not true.
What have you read?
You've read the stuff of people that think like you.
You've lived in an echo chamber.
You don't know any of that to be the case.
Then you have the gall to say that President Trump was an incompetent leader.
How on earth could you say that?
The man led this country and the world unbelievably well.
He had more achievements, more success.
He made us richer.
He made us safer.
And you want to tell me you want to blame the economy on him because of a once-in-a-century pandemic?
No, sir.
It's the policies of people that you likely support that have put America in the position that she's in.
And I would urge you to really think about what you read, think about what you believe, because I think right now you don't know very much about anything.
Thank you for your call.
Who's next?
Let's go to JR, or Sherry in Los Angeles.
Hello!
G'day Sherry, how you doing?
Hey, I'm doing great, Nick.
I thought you might like a woman's touch with all this testosterone going on.
Listen, I love the female touch.
Talk to me.
Great.
I don't know what's happening in Chicago, but...
Anyway, you had your author.
Your author had asked a question that said, why don't the women stick up and do more for the men?
As a woman who grew up in the 70s, 80s, we were taught, you know, a lot of this stuff.
About women's lib and that women didn't need men.
And I can tell you that that's a fallacy.
As women, we need the strengths of men.
So how we can support you is we can step aside a little bit and let you lead and support you while you're doing that.
My son, I raised a son, and I was a single mom, and I taught him how to be a gentleman.
I taught him how to open doors.
I taught him how to walk on a certain side of the street.
I taught him how to, you know, I would take him on mother-son dates and teach him.
And now he's grown up into a wonderful gentleman.
He served in Japan in the military.
You know, I think as women, that can be our role.
It's not that we have to be Dormats, but we can support our men because together we're a force.
And the school is not the teacher of your children, and the television is not the teacher of your children.
And this woke stuff isn't the teacher.
You as a parent and as a mother are responsible for your children's education and your boys' education.
Sherry, what a refreshing voice you have been.
You have given us some sanity on this particular topic, and I'm very grateful to you.
Thank you for raising such an outstanding young man.
It's a model that all mothers should follow.
And I don't know what your personal situation is, but I suspect that there are men all around the country right now listening to you, hoping that you're single.
So there you go.
I did marry after a while, and I married a wonderful man, and him too, you know.
Very good.
Sherry, unfortunately I've got to go, but thank you for your call.
You're listening to The Dennis Prager Show.
We'll be right back with more calls.
We'll be right back.
For over a year, America has been fighting to get back to normal.
This Salem radio station has been fighting right alongside you.

You're back.

And I know so many people who are resistant to the vaccine.
It's just a fact of life.
And there are people in all walks of life.
White people, black people, Hispanic people, members of the military, the healthcare profession.
You know how many nurses and, dare I say, doctors?
Physicians assistants?
Unwilling to get the vaccine?
It's more than a little.
So what do we do with them?
What do we do with those people?
In fact, that's been one of the most unreported stories of the whole crisis of this pandemic.
healthcare workers who are unvaccinated.

you you .
Steven, let's pretend like you were president for a day.
What do we do to get this economy back in shape?
So the first thing we do is we actually do exactly the...
Think of everything Biden has done and do exactly the opposite.
I know you know this is a business.
The only way that the government can give you $1,000 is to take $1,000 away from me.
Right?
It's not.
It's a zero-sum game.
And all we're doing is taking money away from producers and giving it to people who don't produce.
That's that formula for disaster.
It's so funny that you mention that.
I talk about that often on my show.
And one of the things It's frustrating to hear Biden talk about it, but it's even more...
It's scary to me that people believe it.
There's such a lack of understanding when it comes to economics.
It completely baffles me.
It completely scares me that he could say the things that he says about inflation and just completely get away with it.
Think about somebody like Joe Biden.
What has Joe Biden done in his life?
Well, he's never had a job.
He's been in government his whole life.

Yeah.
It's really brilliant, but it's not cheesy.

Tell us what is on your mind.
Let's go to JR in Union Mills, North Carolina.
G'day, JR. Can you hear me?
Yeah.
Can you hear me?
I've got you loud and clear.
All of America's listening to you.
Tell us what's on your mind.
Well, you know, you're talking about old Trump.
I like Trump.
He's a good guy.
You know, kind of like a subject you're talking about, masculinity.
I mean, you know, to me, men are losing their masculinity, but I'm kind of from the older generation, and masculinity went out.
You went out and got the job done, took care of your family, made you a living.
Yep.
You know, you were a man.
You were a man.
Yeah, no, I'm with you on.
So when you see all this stuff now, JR, what does it make you think?
Well, I mean, you know, how are you going to...
I mean, you know, it's like people talk about Trump.
First of all, I'd like to say, you've got to be your own man.
I like Trump, but I don't worship him.
I don't worship nobody.
That's good.
I'm my own man.
I do my own thing.
And now you're swayed so much by the media, the internet, this, that many people are confused.
The man's confused.
They don't know whether it'd be feminine, tough, sad, happy, you know.
There definitely is a lot of confusion.
Thank you for your call, JR. There definitely is a lot of confusion, and that's part of the problem.
I want to go to Eva in Los Angeles, California.
Hello, Eva.
Hi, how are you?
I'm really good.
I wanted to say that asking men to be less masculine is like telling women, stop being feminine.
How fair is that?
And I think men need to get a grip and say that they have every right to be masculine.
That's how God made them.
That's who they are.
There's a lot of confusion, a lot of psychology, and far leftists that are trying to play with their minds.
Because I believe that they want to destroy America by doing it through their men.
Even you speak wonderful sense.
I'm sorry?
You're speaking wonderful sense.
You are spot on.
You're absolutely right.
Can I ask out of interest, do you have any sons?
No, I don't have any children, but I have four brothers, so I know the masculine line very well.
That explains it.
Okay, very good.
That's very good.
Yeah, four brothers will do that to you, I'm sure.
Well, no, you're absolutely right, and men do need to stand up and just disregard everything that's going on, although, of course, it does come at significant legal risk, at significant financial risk.
I mean, you hear every day of men that are being cleaned out by their wives.
There's a purpose for tearing men down.
By tearing men down, you tear down the United States.
Yes, absolutely right.
Because that's who helps build this with the women backing them up.
Thank you for your call, Eva.
Thank you for your call.
Brent from Los Angeles, California.
Hello, Brent.
Hello.
In a confidently committed masculine fashion, I love you, Nick.
I appreciate that.
Let's hope it's platonic.
Absolutely, absolutely.
But I wanted to respond to the cowardly little boy who called in from Mayor Ironfoots, Chicago, who insolently displayed zero ideas as to what it means to be a free man.
And I was wondering, in today's democratic dictatorship, do real men refuse to wear malevolent Mao masks and to surrender to the historic Democrat slavery that it stands for?
Chicago was clueless, and you are certainly on the ball.
Yes, I mean, look, that is definitely the question.
And I guess, you know, it's really up to each individual man to do it, but I can certainly understand exactly why you're asking that question.
Thank you very, very much.
Timothy from Phoenix, Arizona.
G'day, Tim.
Hello, Tim.
Tim?
No?
No, Tim?
Okay.
Alright, what about Troy from Spartanburg, South Carolina?
Troy, you there?
I'm good, Troy.
How about you?
Tell us what's on your mind.
I'm doing well.
So, the quote that when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty, with the mandates, with everything that the CDC has going on, and it's unconstitutional, so I'm just wondering where that line is.
Because our government is actively tyrannous.
So when does rebellion become due, if not now?
Yeah, well, I think there's a lot of people asking that very question.
Look, things are getting very bad.
Obviously, we don't want to resort to unlawful or lawless life.
That is the very, very, very last resort.
Lawless.
The presidency.
Yeah.
Well, I mean...
He is doing things that are unconstitutional.
Okay.
Well, let me ask you this, Troy.
What do you want to do about it?
I don't know.
I guess that's what I'm calling to ask.
Like, it kind of seems like, based on the founding of our nation, we should all, you know, that think like Americans should get together and say, enough of this and do whatever it takes.
So my question is, what sort of rebellion becomes necessary when tyranny becomes law?
Because I think a lot of people are at that point.
Let me answer it like this.
Thank you for your call.
Let me answer it like this.
Until we can match the left in intensity and passion, until we stop, as David Horowitz told us in the first hour, being so polite, we're going to continue to lose this fight.
We're going to continue to be governed by people like Joe Biden and the squad and everybody else and their socialist ideas.
It's up to us to push back.
It's up to us to make a stand.
We do that stridently, but we do that lawfully.
I'm Nick Adams filling in for Dennis Prager on the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
We will be right back with a very, very special guest.

We have vaccine mandates for federal workers.
Nancy Pelosi says masks are back.
You're going to be arrested if you don't wear them in Congress.
When is this going to end, Phil?
You know, it's...
I don't know what's going to end.
We've got the masks are mandatory again in Washington, D.C. as of 5 a.m.
tomorrow morning.
Which is very interesting because it's been 13 days since the District of Columbia last reported a death with COVID. We've had 11 homicides in the last 13 days, but zero deaths with COVID. Maybe they should ban homicides, Phil.
Yeah, right.
Well, or at least maybe have a little bit more vigorous enforcement of the existing laws against them.

That vaccinated Americans in Massachusetts, and I'm just reading from the document, in Barnstable County, that the median among vaccinated...
It says this, that the Delta variant may cause more severe disease G'day,

So we've been getting lots of calls and we're going to continue to take those calls.
But right now on the line we have a very interesting guest.
His name is Mr Matt Palumbo.
He is the Dan Bongino Show resident fact-checker and author of The Conscience of a Young Conservative, In Defense of Classical Liberalism, A Paradoxical Alliance, Spygate and Debunk This.
Most importantly, he's got a brand new book out and I highly recommend it.
It is sensational.
It is a must-read.
It should be on every single family bookshelf in every living room across the country.
It is called Dumb and Dumber.
And I'll give you two guesses for who that's referring to.
Well, actually, it could probably refer to any number of our Democratic elected officials, but it's referring to Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Cuomo.
Matt Palumbo, author of Dumb and Dumber.
Nice to have you on the line, sir.
Thank you so much for having me on.
I'm glad you like the book.
Matt, I love it.
I love it.
Now tell me, I mean, this was a pretty rough undertaking for you to write about two very unsavoury individuals.
Tell us, people reading the book, what are they going to find out that they might not know?
Well, I will say it was actually quite easy to write.
They did give me a lot of material on a seemingly daily basis.
You know, mostly what motivated me to write the book was coronavirus.
There was this narrative we saw being peddled.
Especially at the beginning of the pandemic that, you know, Trump was just kind of sitting by doing nothing while, you know, people like Cuomo and Bellasio were, you know, really taking it seriously.
And, you know, I saw the narrative.
I, you know, did some preliminary research.
And, you know, of course, it's complete nonsense.
You know, Trump was closing down travel at a time that Dr. Fauci even was going on TV saying we don't need to worry about the coronavirus.
And then, you know, a few months down the line, Cuomo was stuffing senior citizens into nursing homes.
And in fact, in covering up the depth, too, I actually got kind of lucky.
I was trying to estimate in the book the extent of the undercounting, and then I think a few months after the book came out, there was actually an Associated Press report that confirmed it, which was kind of cool.
What else I talk about in the book, too, is one, I just do a sort of general economic overview of New York and New York City, and it gives you a very clear explanation of why people are fleeing.
One of the better parts of the chapter is I just do a side-by-side with Florida, which is the number one destination people are leaving for.
I just go through, you know, what are all the basic functions of government in your life?
You know, schooling, infrastructure, to some extent a safety net, and, you know, just basic things and comparing them in New York and Florida.
In pretty much both cases, the quality of services is either equal or better in Florida, and you're spending twice as much tax dollars per citizen for basically the same results.
In the last chapter, Go ahead.
No, no, go on.
Tell us about the last chapter.
The last chapter is on the breakdown of law and order in New York.
So I just give a history from the pre-Giuliani era and the sort of, quote-unquote, broken windows you saw, just parts of society that tend to lead to more serious forms of crime.
You know, if you have a lot of open-air prostitution or open-air gambling or graffiti everywhere, you tend to attract a certain type of people that will make the area even worse and call even more violent crimes.
And I just kind of go through a history of how Giuliani was able to get rid of a lot of those things.
And then, you know, in pockets, we're seeing those things pop up again in de Blasio.
You know, this philosophy that, well, we don't need to take small crime seriously because...
Hey, do you really want to put someone in jail for stealing a couple of dollars worth of something?
Or just this soft on crime approach?
And on a very micro or individual level, you might have sympathy for someone.
But on the grand scheme of things, you enable way worse crime to take part in the city.
And we are seeing it kind of go back to those pre-Jewelty days in New York.
It's not great to see.
So, Matt, I'm really interested that you brought that up because we don't have a lot of time left now.
You know, New York City for so long has been the pearl, you know, in many ways, particularly for outside people that don't live in the United States of America, the great magnificent city of New York.
And sadly, I mean, it's really gone downhill rather significantly.
And I think that the two subjects of your book are the reason for it.
So, Matt, just stick around for us.
But we've been speaking to Matt Palumbo, the author of Dumb and Dumber.
He's a great man, and it's a fabulous book.
So I strongly suggest you go out there and get it.
You're listening to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
I'm Nick Adams, filling in for Dennis Prager.
We will be right back.
Don't go anywhere.

So they're already going to now mandate indoor mask mandates.
And in fact, certain sources that cover the White House very well, including Jack Pasebic, who has been wrong about almost nothing with his sources, say that lockdowns are coming to blue states in the next couple weeks.
Did you know that five people in Washington, D.C. died from COVID in the last week?
And 11 people died from homicide.
On average, we have 1,800 people that die of heart disease every single day in America.
Why are we allowing these people to now get us into another state of panic?

And then you want it to fit better.
So one of the ways you could do it, if you would like to, is put a cloth mask over, which actually here and here and here, where you could get leakage in, is much better contained.
Are you a double masker, Dr. Fauci?
Look like you are.
Now, Alicia, I think probably...
Has a good reason to reject her doctor's explanation that that's the guy that we should all listen to.
Matt Taibbi, in this report, or his column that I saw at New York Post, said he writes, Politifact, which now basically exists to deflect criticism from the Biden administration, rated false the claim that Biden and Harris actually had reservations about the safety...
Of the vaccines.
But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it.
Hmm.
Matt Taibbi says PolitiFact's excuse is that the then candidates, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, were raising questions not about the vaccines themselves, but about then-President Donald Trump's rollout of the vaccines.
But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it.
Uh-huh.
PolitiFact said it's false that Kamala Harris...
Matt Taibbi says, wait a minute, PolitiFact says it's false.
What the hell does that mean?
That it's okay to have reservations, not just about the White House, but about the CDC, FDA, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and every other institution involved with the vaccine effort if you don't like or trust the president?
But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it.

Comedians, you know, in our situation, you know, what we look at is what we're doing.
We're often accused, we're lately have been accused of punching down.
We're punching back.
We're not punching down.
This is a situation where conservatives are literally on the ropes in the culture battle.
And they're defending themselves against this top-down attack, this top-down tyranny from progressive ideology that's coming from celebrities, it's coming from corporations, it's coming from politicians.
We're not punching down.

This is Nick Adams filling in for the great man.
It is 45 minutes past the hour.
As always, we would love your calls.
Tell us what's on your mind.
1-8 Prager 776. That's 1-8 Prager 776 or 877-243-7776.
On the line, we have a great man, the former governor.
of the great state of Tennessee, Governor Bill Haslam.
I've come to know Governor Haslam recently as he and I served together on the Wilson Center, which is the government's think tank in the Smithsonian Institution, and Governor Haslam chairs that particular board.
and in the limited interaction that I've had with him, I've been enormously impressed, and I thought, well, who better to speak to on a national radio program than a great governor, but also a man that's got a brand new book out, a book that I highly recommend but also a man that's got a brand new book out, a book that I highly recommend called "Faithful Presence: The Promise and the Welcome, Governor Haslam. - Wow, Nick, that was a great introduction.
I ought to just say I'm Bill Haslam and I approve that message and hang up.
I don't think it'll do any better than that.
Governor, it's always great to hear your voice.
Tell us, what made you write the book?
You know, like a lot of folks in the country, I'm concerned with the split that we see and the fact that folks tend to be a lot more focused on calling names and solving problems.
And so I wrote this to people of faith in particular to say Maybe it's part of our call to be part of the solution instead of just people that are Like I said calling out the other side so it's this is my experience of having been a mayor and a governor for 15 years for two terms as a mayor and two terms as a governor And some of the things that I learned over that period of time Governor can I ask you as an immigrant to this country is
one of the things that really attracted me to the United States...
Was that here you feel comfortable about displaying your Christianity.
The church is omnipresent all across the country.
People do talk about their faith rather publicly.
And in other countries, as I'm sure you know, even Judeo-Christian countries, that's just not the case.
Are you concerned that one day here in the United States of America we might become?
A more secular society like we see in Europe, for example?
Well, I do worry about that.
Here's one of the reasons I hope and think that won't happen here.
Our founders were brilliant on a number of levels, but in my mind, one of the most brilliant things they said is that when it comes to religion, the government can't play any role at all.
We weren't going to have a state-established church.
You know, state-run church, like there was in Europe at that time.
But also, and most importantly, and the people that focus on the separation of church and state missed the second part of that part of the Constitution, that the government will make no law abridging the free exercise of your religion.
So, what our founders were brilliant in saying is, religion's so important that the government doesn't get to play at all.
They're not going to set up a religion, nor are they going to prohibit you from exercising your religion.
And we forget, but that was a brand new concept at the time.
Nobody had ever really taken that approach to the relationship between government and religion.
Yeah, we certainly did get a very substantial head start with our founders, Governor.
You know, this one line I found in your book I thought was really poignant.
You say that all of us in politics and everywhere else should be careful.
To make sure we are being used by God, not using God for our own purposes.
That really struck me, Governor.
Well, you know, I think it's true if those of us who, you know, particularly like myself, call ourselves Christians, if we're going to try to be faithful in what we do, we need to be really careful that we don't use God for our own purposes.
And in some situations in the political world today, that's easy to do.
And so, again, I think that what I'm trying to encourage folks is being in public service is a great chance to be used by God to help make a difference in the lives of people around us.
And let's not fall to the temptation to use God in the process.
No, I think that that's a very, very important message.
I know that you saw your public service as a calling, and I'm sure that your Christian faith had a great deal to play with your decision to run for office, both as Mayor of Knoxville and then later as the Governor of Tennessee.
You know, one of the things that I find very sad is that so many Americans today are certainly becoming more And they don't really understand the beauty of the idea of America is that we can all bring our most deeply held beliefs to the public square without the government declaring one faith or no faith the winner.
So I really appreciate you writing this book, Governor.
If people want to find out more about the book or more about you, where can they go?
Well, the book's website is Faithful Presence, the book, and you can Google it and find all the information you need about that.
And as for me, having been in office for 15 years, you can find out everything you want, good and bad, I'm afraid.
Governor Haslam, the book is...
A very good one and one that should be read.
Faithful Presence.
This is the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
show.
We'll be back with more in a moment.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't you get tired of commercials screaming at you to buy gold now with inflated promises on future values?
In an unregulated industry, you need honest, real experts to give you solid advice to protect your wealth and top picks on the best coins in bullion based on real-time data and historical trends.
One precious metal that's been significantly undervalued for years is potentially set to surge.
Nick Grovich, owner of Amfed Coin and Bullion, has long recommended this precious metal.
Up to 600,000 ounces of this rare metal will be needed by 2030 to produce green hydrogen.
Nick is doubling down on this pick, and you should too.
Call Nick at AmFedCoin and Bullion to find out more.
I've been friends with Nick for years, and he's my go-to guy when it comes to coins and bullion.
I trust him.
He is a good and very knowledgeable man.
Call Nick at 800-221-7694.
800-221-7694.
AmericanFederal.com.
AmericanFederal.com.
Not one mistake.
Turning now to the Charlie Kirk Show.
Well, according to the CDC's own documents, right here, Barnes Stable, or is it Barnes Stable?
Whatever.
County Massachusetts outbreak.
In all bold, no difference in mean CT values in unvaccinated.
And vaccinated cases.
In fact, the vaccinated cases were.4% higher.
That's the CDC's own data.
That vaccinated Americans in Massachusetts, and this is, I'm just reading from the document, in Barnstable County, that the median among vaccinated was N equals 80. I'm not sure what that value represents.
But 21.9, unvaccinated, N equals 65, 21.5.
I'm guessing that's how many people they were testing.
I need to go look at the, what the values represent.
It says here that risk of infection, reinfection with the Delta variant may be higher, compelled to the Alpha variant.
But only if prior infection is 180 days earlier.
It says this, that the Delta variant may cause more severe disease than the Alpha or the ancestral strains.
So they're already going to now mandate indoor mask mandate.
So, let's go.
8, 3, 3, 7.
Welcome back to the Dennis Prager radio show.
You are listening to Nick Adams filling in for Dennis Prager in the final few minutes of the show.
We want to get to some more calls.
Let's do that without any further ado.
Darren in Grand Ledge, Michigan.
G'day, Dazza.
How are you?
Wonderful, Nick.
Love listening to you when Dennis is around.
Thank you.
I really appreciate that.
I was thinking the Democrats and the world class need a new slogan.
How about we make heroes out of zeros?
You are spot on.
Yeah, I certainly do.
That was it.
Thank you for your call.
They do make heroes out of zeros, and that's a big problem.
A very, very big problem.
Let's go to who I think is going to be a hero, given where he lives.
Dave in Fort Worth, Texas.
G'day, Dave.
Great to talk to you.
Good to talk to you, too.
You're in the manhood belt there in Fort Worth, Texas?
You know what?
Texas has a way of really showing that, but I think everything that we have to know doesn't have to rely just on Texas.
My point that I wanted to make today was that ladies, boys learn differently than girls.
Any mom can tell you that.
We model after the behavior from other men, but the men have to be there to model after.
It's very important to get that point across, is that men, you've got to show up, and those boys are looking for what it means to be a man.
They're not going to learn that from women as much as if they can learn it from other men.
I appreciate you.
I appreciate you taking the time to call, David.
That's very true.
That's very true.
Men do need to be present for children.
Otherwise, of course, that young boy is not going to turn out like a man.
I mean, that's the reality.
He's got a much better chance of turning out masculine if there are good men in his circle around him.
Look, it's been an interesting show today and we've discussed the full gamut of issues from wokeness to masculinity to Blasio and Cuomo and the terrible stuff they've done in New York City.
We have talked about how great this country is and it's easy to overlook the treasure of America in these dark days.
But I want you to keep believing in the United States of America.
I want you to keep listening to the Dennis Prager Radio Show.
My time today is up, but I will see you at some other point.
Thank you for listening.
