Debate Recap: Dems Want Diplomacy with Iran
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
The surge of diplomacy with Iran led to a terrible deal.
Ask the people most threatened by Iran whether they thought it was a good deal.
Don't ask the Europeans.
Ask the people in the Middle East, especially Israelis.
They say, well, Israel.
I always get a kick out of that.
Oh, Israel.
Well, what do you expect?
If there's any country that I would want to know their opinion about any deal with Iran, it is Israel because Israel is targeted for extinction by Iran.
So Israel would have the best way, the best indicators, the best Geiger counters as to what is dangerous or not.
Because they, more than any other country on earth, will suffer the consequences of a crappy deal.
If it really delayed a nuclear weapon, wouldn't Israel have been for the deal?
Why does it matter?
Why does it not matter to the left that Israel hated the deal?
Well, A, because they don't give a damn about Israel.
Surge of diplomacy.
Hey, how do you like that?
We couldn't do that.
That was once in 37 years of broadcasting.
That will not happen again.
You had an auditory miracle.
Out of nowhere he played that, and I said the words as she did.
We couldn't have rehearsed that.
Surge of diplomacy.
I love it.
Keep that.
That's really...
It's a real winner.
Elizabeth Warren, 12. Our keeping combat troops there is not helping.
No.
We need to work with our allies.
We need to use our economic tools.
We need to use our diplomatic tools.
Now, look, I understand.
There are people on this stage, when it comes to Afghanistan, for example, who talk about five more years, ten more years.
Shoot, Lindsey Graham talks about leaving troops there for a hundred more years.
No one has a solution and an endpoint.
We need to get our combat troops out.
They are not helping create more safety to the United States or the region.
These women who want to take the troops out when women will be the first people slaughtered by the Taliban.
