Debate Recap: Climate Change Hysteria

Time Text
Despite this president's coziness with Vladimir Putin, we actually seem to be further away from being able to work with Russia on things like the renewal of START. This is where the president is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
If he works with Russia on START or anything else, he's in Putin's pocket.
If he doesn't, then we're further away from being able to work with Russia.
What is the president's coziness with Vladimir Putin?
Taking on Iran is one of the worst possible things an American can do, an American president can do, vis-a-vis Russia.
This was a big blow to Russia, the killing of Soleimani, and Russia condemned it strongly.
Where is this idea for coziness with Putin?
They make up things on the left and then they carry it.
What about the giving aid?
What about the military aid that he gave and that Barack Obama did not give to Ukraine to fight Russia?
Thank you.
19. How would you prevent Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon?
All right, Amy Klobuchar.
What I would do is negotiate.
I would bring people together, just as President Obama did years ago, and I think that we can get this done.
That's it.
You gotta bring people together.
Why didn't I think of that?
Minnesota, thank you for bringing her to the national stage.
That is how you prevent Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon.
Bring people together just as President Obama did.
Every leftist, not liberal necessarily, as you know, but every leftist thinks like a child on these matters.
There may be wonderful people in other ways.
Humans are complex, I know that.
Leftism is make-believe.
Men can give birth.
Let's make believe.
I want to believe it, ergo it's true.
Let's bring people together.
As if scum don't run Iran.
You don't bring people together with vile human beings.
You confront them.
I don't know of an exception to that rule.
Confront doesn't mean make war.
There are many ways of confronting.
The president of the United States has done a great job.
The previous president did a horrible job.
Bring people together.
Oh, that was one of the charming lines.
Number 21, Mr. Steyer.
What worked with President Obama was an alliance of our allies and us.
Putting economic pressure on them for them to give up their military tactic.
That, to me, is called strategy.
So this president putting economic pressure is not strategy?
And what economic pressure did he put?
The whole point was to relieve sanctions.
Wait, are you, Mr. Steyer, for sanctions or are you not for sanctions on Iran?
The pablum of the evening is so painful.
That was called strategy.
But if the president called Trump does it, it's not called strategy.
Okay, moderator 22. Senator Sanders, you have said that new deal, the USMCA, quote, makes some modest improvements, yet you're going to vote against it.
Aren't modest improvements better than no improvements?
Mm-hmm.
No, exactly.
So he gives a number of reasons.
Here he is, number 23. Second of all, every major environmental organization has said no to this new trade agreement because it does not even have the phrase climate change in it.
And given the fact that climate change is right now the greatest threat facing this planet.
I will not vote for a trade agreement that does not incorporate very, very strong principles to significantly lower fossil fuel emissions in the world.
There you go.
So workers of the United States and other countries, I'm sorry, but since climate change is not addressed, even though I acknowledge it will help you, it doesn't matter.
Because this is the greatest threat facing the planet.
My dear friends, I don't believe that.
Alright?
I'm not saying he's lying.
I'm just telling you I don't believe it.
He does.
I don't believe it in part because, as I've read to you, for now 30 plus years, I've been told it's the greatest threat to the planet.
Things seem to be going pretty well.
Oh, what about the fires in California?
Okay.
There are many reasons for them.
Climate change is a minimal factor.
