This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posovic.
Christ is king.
We have troops on the ground there.
They say they're there to beef up security.
Yesterday's talks involving Greenland, Denmark, and the U.S. failing to reach any consensus.
At least one aircraft carrier is en route to the Middle East with other military assets from air, land, and sea expected to begin flowing into the region in the coming days and weeks.
The White House still leaving the door open, though, for a potential strike.
Facing pressure to tackle the rising cost of living, President Trump unveiling what he's calling his great health care plan.
The government is going to pay the money directly to you.
It goes to you, and then you take the money and buy your own health care.
President Trump had a nice phone call with Senator Elizabeth Warren to talk about credit card rates.
This is an area where people may be surprised, but President Trump and Elizabeth Warren align very much on this idea to limit how much credit card companies can charge for interest rates.
The White House is obviously moving forward on what they're calling an affordability agenda.
And President Trump has some allies, Republicans on Capitol Hill, and also Democrats like Senator Warren and others in that very fight.
Chaos erupting on the streets once again for the second time in a week now.
A federal officer opening fire, a man wounded.
DHS says he fled officers.
Protesters clashing with law enforcement afterward.
And President Trump tonight now threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would allow him to send in the U.S. military.
What's clear here is that the money trail has to be dried up.
That has to be exposed.
There's a deep dive right now between HSI, IRS, and FBI.
We know there's organized groups.
We know there's funding.
And we're doing a deep dive right now to identify them, file the money, and find out who's organized this, who's inciting the violence.
And justice is coming their way.
So we're all over this.
We just had increased number of attorneys to Minnesota and number of agents.
But there's a separate part of that.
We're looking at the financials.
We're looking at who's funding this, who's antagonizing this, and they'll be held accountable.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
We're here live on Real America's Voice.
Today is January 16th, 2025, Anno Domini.
Well, folks, Operation Metro Surge has been a resounding success up there in Minneapolis.
And thanks to Human Events and other footage, we can, of course, now be very excited to report that the individual who stole those guns from the federal locker has been arrested.
So you remember that footage just two nights ago?
We provided you with the exclusive footage.
They're obtained directly on the ground.
Our field correspondent, Kevin Pisovic, putting himself in harm's way.
Many others putting themselves in harm's way.
Our friend Nick Sortor and others.
They're capturing this footage.
And not only did they catch the guy, turns out that he's a member of who?
The Latin Kings.
Yes, that's right, the Latin Kings.
Because if you go back and remember, the Latin Kings, who are they?
The Latin Kings are the operational arm of the Sinaloa cartel and other cartels on the ground in the United States.
The Latin Kings and other gangs like this, they are the street level pushers for the various drugs, the various narcotics that go out here.
They're the ones who put it out on the street.
It's not, the cartels aren't coming in.
They're the partners.
So who came in?
I'll tell you who came in.
They went up in Chicago.
Remember, just a couple of weeks ago, back in October, a lot of people may have missed this, but there was a Latin Kings enforcer arrested all the way back in October.
He's on trial right now for putting out what?
A $10,000 bounty on Commander Bovino.
So you understand how it all works.
On one side, you've got the cartels.
You've got the Latin Kings.
You've got the Latin Kings putting out $10,000.
You think he's got $10,000 for that?
No, that's a cartel bounty that they're putting out on Commander Bovino because he's a Border Patrol commander and he's out there with the men.
He's out there with the ICE officers and brave agents that are out there doing the Lord's work day after day.
And they're putting a $10,000 cartel bounty on his head.
And he's still out there every day knowing that he's a wanted man, knowing that he's a marked man.
He doesn't care because Commander Bovino cares about this country.
And what do we also have now?
So we also come to find that the Latin Kings are now becoming more active in Minneapolis.
And they are specifically going, who was there?
Who was there that night right before, right?
Right when that was when the ICE involved shooting took place.
There was a Venezuelan attacked an agent with a shovel.
There were two other individuals involved.
Snow shovel, actually.
There were two other individuals involved.
Shot him, got a shot off, hit him in the leg.
Who was there on the scene?
Commander Bovino.
Was this guy potentially?
Was this guy potentially trying to collect on the bounty?
I'm just asking questions here, folks.
Understand what time it is and understand whose side certain people are on.
Tim Walz, Keith Ellison, Mayor Jacob Fry.
They're on the same side as who?
Not just the rioters, not just the Somalis that are brawling in the state capitol, the high schoolers.
They're on the same side as the Latin Kings and the cartels.
Hmm.
I wonder why that is.
What an interesting situation.
Gee, what do you think could be going on?
They're all in league together.
Connect the dots.
This is about destruction of one of America's greatest cities.
This is about the destruction of our country ad hominem.
This is about destruction of our country writ hole.
And we need to tear out the rot.
We're going to tear out the rot, root, and stem.
Rot like this, Latin Kings, punk, this thug, this disgusting freak.
Get him off the streets.
And you know what?
He is off the streets.
Thanks to who?
Human Events and Nick Sortor.
We'll be right back with more.
Jack Posobiec continues.
In our way and our golden age has just begun.
This is Human Events with Jack Posobiec.
Now it's time for everyone to understand what America First truly means.
Welcome to the second American Revolution.
All right, Jack Posovic, we are back live here, Human Events daily.
And while we're focused on so many of the operations, Operation Metro Surge that's going on down in, or I should say up in Minneapolis, I also want to talk about what's going on around the country to make our country safe again, to make our country be able to defend itself again.
And we're very excited to bring on once again, the press secretary for the Department of War, Kingsley Wilson.
Kingsley, how are you?
I'm doing great, Jack.
Thanks for having me.
So we had a RAV correspondent that was embedded, Benny Ray Harmony, with Secretary Hegseth for the Arsenal of Freedom tour, the kickoff that's going on.
Talk to us about this tour.
Why is it that the mainstream media seems so upset about this, where it's simply where the Secretary of War is going out and talking about, it seems to me, new technology, new innovations for the warfighter?
Absolutely.
We're really excited here at the department about this initiative, about everything we're doing when it comes to new technology and reforming the acquisition system.
For too long in this country, we have relied on defense contractors that had monopolies on defense contracts and that didn't deliver equipment on time.
And they often delivered that equipment way over budget, way over cost.
The president has started to highlight this and is taking action.
So we're really proud to be going around the country.
We're visiting the primes, of course, but we're also engaging with a lot of new emerging companies that are really innovating.
We're going to make sure that if you're a small company and you're innovating and you can get our warfighters something fast and efficient, we want to work with you.
Under the Obama administration, companies like SpaceX and Palantir had to actually sue the department just to be able to compete for department contracts.
That has totally ended.
We're going to make sure that our warfighters have everything they need and that they have it fast.
We see our adversaries beefing up their arsenals and America needs to be ready and equipped.
The president talks about it all the time.
This is peace through strength.
So I think for a long time, previous admins have overlooked this critical element.
We've gotten the warrior ethos back at the Department of War.
Now we want to make sure we also have the capabilities to do that.
So we're continuing to invest in our American-made manufacturing and defense companies, and we're excited for those partnerships.
Well, and I do think it's kind of interesting that I have to admit, there's a little bit of just from my own perspective, a little bit of a double standard by I've seen so much criticism of the Secretary.
They say, oh, he's having these meetings, he's meeting with defense contractors, he shouldn't be doing this directly.
And then I'll turn around and point out, because if you go and look at Politico's playbook newsletter or so many other media newsletters, Washington Post, others out there, so many of them have their own partnerships and promotions and funding that comes directly from also defense contractors.
So shouldn't they also be, you know, holding themselves to the same standard?
I don't get it.
You would think so, but the mainstream media never seems to do that.
But we definitely take that kind of criticism in stride and we'll continue to engage because at the end of the day, this is about our warfighters.
They need to have the best equipment.
We never want them to enter into a fair fight.
If we can give them a decisive advantage technologically, equipment-wise, we are absolutely going to do that.
And now, thanks to President Trump, we've got a $1.5 trillion budget to deliver on that.
So that's going to be a huge priority for us going forward.
And we're going to be utilizing a lot of cutting-edge technology as well.
Think about AI and how that's going to change warfare, how drones are going to change warfare.
When the Secretary was down this Monday at SpaceX, he talked a lot about our AI initiatives and how we're going to be an AI-dominant U.S. military.
We're using companies like Grok, like Google Gemini.
We want to engage with everyone to make sure that if we're building battleships like we're going to be building, which we're very excited about, the designs for those ships are going to utilize AI.
We want to make sure that everything is getting done quickly.
Like the president says during World War II, we used to put out a ship a day.
We used to build a ship a day.
We need to get back to that.
We need to make sure that we've got a strong and deep defense industrial base so that our warfighters have what they need.
So, as incredible as that is, you were talking media.
Obviously, we here at Human Events are members of the newly constituted Pentagon Press Corps.
But there's another newspaper, or I should say a standard newspaper.
You mentioned World War II.
We go all the way back to the World War II history of this paper called Stars and Stripes.
And Stars and Stripes had been known, and I remember this from having served, this was the military's newspaper.
It's on every base, it's on every post.
You go out there, you get Stars and Stripes, and it's sort of supposed to be, you know, the paper of record for the news, for the military.
And of course, you know, it's got an incredibly storied history, sending out correspondence, war correspondence in the past.
Yet over the years, I'm just going to say it, and I don't even have to put words in your mouth.
This thing has got completely woke.
It's so far to the left.
It is completely nuts.
And it has been so for a long time.
They've attacked me like crazy in recent years just because I've come out of the military and been a Trump supporter.
And then at the same time, they'll turn around and I can find glowing profiles of Antifa military members who have gone on to commit violent crimes like Daniel Allen Baker, who not only went over and joined a fighting group in Syria, but then came back and used that training in Chaz in Seattle, then gets arrested in running the roadblocks and the perimeters checkpoints.
Then he gets arrested down in Florida and Stars and Stripes loves this guy.
Oh, he's an anti-fascist and he's, you know, he's upholding values.
It's gone so far around the bend.
Tell me about the plans for Stars and Stripes.
You're absolutely correct in your assessment of where the paper currently stands.
And that's unfortunate because you highlighted its incredible legacy as being a paper for our warfighters.
That's what we want it to be again.
So we have launched an initiative to reform Stars and Stripes and we're going to make sure that we return it to its former glory.
No more reprinted AP gossip columns or Reuters hit pieces.
And I think a lot of people don't realize that's what Stars and Stripes has largely been doing.
They have been taking AP articles and simply just reprinting them.
Instead of writing things that our warriors actually want to read that are custom tailored to them, we're going to be talking about things like fitness, weapons systems, standards, lethality, all of the stuff that our warriors want to be reading about because at the end of the day, this is a paper that is for them.
So we're going to be refocusing this paper on that editorial mission and we're going to ensure that it is one that the American people can be proud of.
A lot of folks are really excited about this initiative because they remember like you do, Jack, the incredible legacy that Stars and Stripes had and they want to get back to that.
So we're going to totally eliminate all of the woke nonsense that they've been putting out and we're going to make sure that we get back to talking about actual warfighting, writing about actual warfighting and actually writing pieces instead of just reprinting what other commercial wires are writing.
I mean, it's ridiculous.
I actually just pulled up as you were talking some of the history.
I didn't even realize that it all the way goes back to the Civil War, is when 1861, the original founding, and I don't think it was military-wide at that point yet.
It was sort of set up in Illinois and Missouri, some of the regiments there.
And that was, it was kind of a newsletter, I guess, basically.
And then World War I is when it really kicks off, the Doughboys going over.
And at the time, so many of the reporters were veterans or people had just gotten out of the military themselves.
And so the sources, the embedding, it was from people that they had known and worked with, and they were drawing upon that experience while being able to do that reporting.
Kingsley, we just don't find that anymore when you look at not just the Reporting Corps, but so many of these papers.
And by the way, I wouldn't just say Stars and Stripes.
I would add Military Times, Army Times, Navy Times, all of that on top of it as well.
People seem to think that those are like official publications.
No, they're completely left-wing, dirt-rags, the same way the rest of the media is.
And I would just highlight too, I agree with your assessment on all of those military outlets, of course, but I would just highlight too that Stars and Stripes is a little unique in that it's majority DOW funded.
So this is something that is actually a military paper for our warfighters.
And unfortunately, they've really lost sight of that mission.
During the commercial break, I was looking at some of their headlines here and they have this one from 2024, Kiev celebrates first Pride Parade Since Invasion.
Why do our warfighters want to read about that kind of woke nonsense when they can be reading about stuff that actually matters to them, stuff that actually impacts their daily life if they're here, if they're stationed somewhere, if they're deployed abroad?
So that's going to be the focus going forward.
And we're going to make sure that we custom tailor this to them and that we're delivering it to them in a way that they can consume.
And that's going to be a huge overhaul effort that we're going to take on here at the Public Affairs shop.
We're super, super excited about it because, again, we want to return Stars and Stripes to what it used to be, to what everyone remembers it being great for.
And that's going to be our North Star going forward.
Yeah, I mean, look at the names of some of this.
Andy Rooney.
Andy Rooney was literally a correspondent for Stars and Stripes.
Steve Croft, people have gone on to so many huge, huge names throughout history.
Obviously, the Vietnam War, this was a massive era.
And somewhere along the way, and again, this is owned by the military.
It's owned by defense military activity, owned by the DOW, and yet they've just, it just goes to show the infiltration over the years and how so many of these things have been let fall by the wayside.
Meanwhile, you've got, I wonder, by the way, Kingsley, if perhaps seeing his defense military activity, it reminds me that that used to be one of the missions of a certain Marine E4 who is now serving as the Vice President of the United States.
Perhaps get some work or consultation work out of him, come over and show you how things should be run.
Do you think that Vice President Vance might take an interest in this?
I certainly hope so.
And you're absolutely right.
He would be a great person to ask some advice about this subject in particular, given his experience.
But yeah, we're excited about this.
We think that it's going to better serve our warriors and our veterans.
And it's going to kind of be in lockstep with what we have tried to do across this department is refocus on the mission.
We're getting the ideology out of the military.
We're getting the woke out of the military, the politics.
We just want to talk about what every single service member signed up to do to be a lethal warfighter and to keep the American people safe.
So this is a paper that is on every single military base that should reflect that.
And we want it to be one that is going to make our service members' lives better.
That is what it's all about.
Kingsley Wilson, Department of Board, give her a follow, folks, over there.
God bless.
Thank you so much.
Talk about influencers.
These are influencers.
And they're friends of mine.
Jack Prasevik.
Where's Jack?
Jack.
He's got a breakdown.
All right, Jack Pasevick, we're back here.

And by the way, folks, you want to learn a little bit more about Stars and Stripes, one of the best movies out there about it.
Of course, what?
Full metal jacket.
Remember, that's Joker, right?
Joker is, of course, working on a mission for Stars and Stripes, as well as Rafterman, private first class Rafterman over there for Stars and Stripes, of course, in the immortal full metal jacket.
Of course, I don't even think full metal jacket could be made today, let alone any of the lines of the Gunnery Sergeant to be able to actually be said.
One of the best war movies and movies in general ever made, of course, as we all know.
Folks, I want to go back though to Minneapolis where active operations are still taking place.
And people need to understand, all right, it's not just about the riots, okay?
The riots are, the riots are tertiary behavior.
What we're talking about are the targeted detention and interdiction operations of the illegals that should not be in our country.
The arrest, the prosecution of them.
That's why the raids are happening.
That's why the surge happened in the first place.
And we're going to get into those cases because that's a piece of this that I don't think has gotten enough coverage.
Now, we've been covering the response to it, but let me tell you this.
I'll tell you right now, the left is at their breaking point.
They are.
And I think, honestly, we don't even need to invoke the Insurrection Act.
President Trump doesn't need to do it.
You know why?
Because they're already losing.
They're already losing their momentum.
They've lost their morale.
Look, they're not even talking.
They were not able to turn Renee Good into this martyr that they all wanted.
Oh, Renee Good.
And then, and then when the truth came out about her, done.
They came out and said, you know what?
Yeah, I don't like this.
And what also happened was the administration stood tall.
The administration did not back down an inch on any of this.
I want to go check, by the way, another piece of this that's huge.
So I've got the give send go number and I've got, I'm doing this on the fly, so forgive me, right?
So I've got the gives, so there's two of these fundraisers that were set up for give, send, go and go fund me for ICE officer Jonathan Ross.
And as of right now, I would like and I'd be very happy.
Yeah, yeah, I was right.
Doing the math in my head.
I'm very happy to now officially report to you that when you combine both, so you go all in, all of the fundraisers, the crowdfunding for Jonathan Ross, over $1 million has now been raised for ICE officer Jonathan Ross.
$1 million, a key milestone has been broken all in for this guy, this American hero who joined the National Guard.
who served his country in Iraq.
A war that he didn't choose, but a war that he was sent to because he signed up for his country.
Came home, joined the Border Patrol, spent 19 years working for DHS, then moved over to ICE operations, the internal operations, injured twice that we know of publicly on the job.
This is the kind of guy that America should uphold.
This is the kind of guy who's actually doing what needs to be done in this country.
And here's the difference, all right?
You got two forces, two contrasting forces, order and chaos.
Order and chaos.
Do we want liberty in America?
Of course, but an ordered liberty, an ordered society.
God is the creator of order.
Therefore, order is godly.
Satan cannot create.
Satan can only pervert, toxify, destroy.
Satan is chaos, and chaos is Satanism.
That's what the devil means, right?
The word devil, to divide.
That's what it means.
It's a divider.
So you have order on one hand, chaos on the other.
What ICE's operations are doing right now, what the President of the United States, President Trump, is doing is delivering on his promise.
There is going to be friction as we move from a chaotic society to an ordered society.
And in an ordered society, illegal aliens and especially criminal illegal aliens cannot be permitted to stay within the confines of our nation.
The American people voted for this.
The American people said, get out.
The American people said, we don't want the Latin kings here anymore.
We don't want the Somali fraudsters.
We don't want al-Shabaab.
We don't want any of this.
We want the Sinaloa cartel partners.
We're done with Trende Aragua.
We're done with all of it.
The MS-13s?
No.
No.
That's why Donald Trump won.
That's why the MAGA movement exists, because nobody wanted to talk about this.
And the spineless, gutless Republican rhinos, the Mitt Romneys and the McCains and the Paul Ryans of before said, oh, don't say anything.
Just Tom Emmer up there, by the way, in Minnesota.
No, just go along with it.
You're racist.
You're racist if you don't allow your entire state to be overrun with Somalis.
Well, maybe I don't want my state to be overrun with Somalis.
Maybe I want to speak the same language as the people in my neighborhood.
Maybe I want my children to share the same traditions with the people they live with on their street.
Maybe I want that.
And you know something?
Maybe there isn't anything wrong with saying that I want that for my family, that I want that for my community, that I want that for my town, that I want that for my state, and that I want that for my country.
Maybe, maybe there's everything right about that because that is order.
That is godly.
We'll be right back.
Jack Posobiec, Human Events Daily.
Where is he?
Jack, I want to see you.
Great job, Jack.
Thank you.
What a job you do.
You know, we have an incredible thing.
We're always talking about the fake news and demand, but we have guys, and these are the guys who'll be getting policies.
All right, Jack Potsbuk, we are back live here, Human Events Daily.
We're honored once again to be on with Tricia McLaughlin of the Department of Homeland Security.
Tricia, how are you?
Hey, Jack, I'm good.
Thank you for having me.
Well, I don't know if you caught it, and I'm sure you guys are tracking, but we just ran the numbers, and it looks like the crowdfunding, the groundswell of support from Americans, regular Americans for Jonathan Ross, the ICE officer who was injured, has just reached over $1 million all in between the two fundraisers that he has going.
And as incredible as that is, I wanted to check with you if you had any update on his medical status, because we also, you know, of course, heard the news, horrible news, that he had this internal bleeding.
And obviously, we know that can lead to a lot of complications.
Do you have an update for us on that?
I don't have an update.
I know he's, of course, out of the hospital, but we are praying for him and his family.
This is a very seasoned law enforcement officer who's been vilified and dragged through the mud when he was being targeted with a deadly weapon.
And he used his training and saved his own life and potentially the lives of his fellow law enforcement officers.
So we know he's spending time with his family.
He's on leave right now, but we're praying for him and pulling for him.
So thank you for that.
Well, that's incredible.
And I certainly appreciate that.
And I think it's something too, where these officers, and you see this happening again and again, when I see Mayor Fry up there demonizing the ICE agents, you can see the police officers standing next to him on the podium kind of grimace and turn away.
What is happening with these local politicians when they keep putting targets on the backs of law enforcement?
You're absolutely correct, Jack.
And we've seen the images and we continue to see the images out of Minneapolis.
Our law enforcement officers are being spit on.
They are pouring cold water on the ground so that our ICE law enforcement vehicles will slide, crash, and potentially kill them.
Of course, we're seeing these vehicle rammings.
That is a new tactic that we're seeing increasingly.
There has been a 3,200% increase in those vehicle rammings.
We've seen 15 in the last week alone out of Minneapolis.
So to your point, what Walsh and Fry are doing is putting a target on our law enforcement's back, but it's not just ICE, CBP, and DHS law enforcement.
It's law enforcement at large.
The average lunatic isn't going to know the difference between federal law enforcement and state and local law enforcement.
So this is really putting every law enforcement officer in danger.
And you also see the media's culpability of it.
You just mentioned the name of our officer and I was just on CNN earlier today and they were completely blaming him for the death of this woman.
And instead of the fact of the matter, that this woman was committing federal crimes by not only stalking, harassing, and impeding law enforcement, then of course weaponizing her vehicle and using it as a deadly weapon against our law enforcement officer.
So what we really want to see on the ground, Jack, is we want to see cooperation from state and local law enforcement.
That would make really quell the situation at hand.
It would make the public much safer.
It would make our law enforcement much safer so that they could actually call state and local law enforcement for backup as they're being attacked, as they're being assaulted, or as their duties and operations are being obstructed.
But we're not seeing that from Tim Walsh from Fry.
They're simply obstructing operations.
Well, and to even take that a step back, this all started because the reason that these raids are taking place is because they refuse to honor the ICE detainers in the first place.
And that's the reason that you don't see these in red states or in states that aren't sanctuary cities, because it's so much safer for everyone, for residents, for family members, for the agents involved, for anyone involved to simply, if there's a case like this, to hand them over at a jailhouse or a courthouse where it can be done in a safe manner, assuming, of course, by the way, that there isn't a judge who tries to sneak them out the back door, which, of course, happened once.
Oh, yeah, exactly.
Out of Wisconsin there.
Jack, that is such a great point you're making.
I mean, for example, out of Minneapolis in the last year, we've made a little over 10,000 arrests.
And you've seen the chaos.
You've seen the violence against law enforcement.
You've seen the really threat to public safety because of these riots and violent agitators.
But then you look at Florida.
We've made over 40,000 arrests down there.
And yet you see calm.
You see peace.
And why is that?
Because state and local law enforcement are empowered to work with their federal law enforcement partners.
Us at DHS, they're allowed to hand these criminal illegal aliens from their jails, from their custody over to us to have a peaceful transfer so that we can make sure not only is justice had, but also we're getting these people the heck out of our country.
And so you don't need to see these high level, high visibility, and of course, high risk raids that are going on because of these sanctuary policies in the first place.
And unfortunately, they do.
And I just, it reminds me of in 2020, in the summer of 2020, I reported on CHAS out in Seattle, and it was this instance where these left-wing agitators got in and they were fighting with police and then they took over this area.
And you had business owners and you had shopkeepers and you had a car dealership.
I was there the night where they broke into the car dealership and they were stealing keys and they smashed the gate of this.
And so they're taking the keys so they can steal the cars that are all sitting on the lot.
That's all the inventory.
And where did those people who get caught in the crossfire of any of this thing, where do they go for recompense?
Now, certainly, thank God, by the way, that most of those people were safe, but there were some shootings.
And unfortunately, there were some killings by the left-wingers in Seattle in that case.
The residents and I believe the property owners, the business owners joined together.
I just pulled this up.
They joined together.
They sued the city of Seattle and received a settlement $3.6 million that took place afterwards.
So I wonder, does Jacob Fry or Tim Walz, are they even considering the fact that they are the ones putting their own citizens at risk here?
I don't think that they care, Jack.
I think that this is about politics.
This isn't about public safety.
Flashback to two weeks ago where Tim Walz stepped down because of this rampant fraud investigation.
We've seen at least $9 billion in fraud out of Minneapolis.
And then, of course, we've surged Homeland Security investigators there to be really following that money, getting accountability and getting answers for the American people, which every single day we are one step closer to getting that and getting these answers.
And I think that this is a deflection tactic.
I don't think that he minds seeing these riots, even if there is violence and he's putting his own constituents in harm's way by encouraging this and encouraging resistance against federal law enforcement officers, which, oh, by the way, is a federal crime.
And so, yeah, I think that this is again and again them putting politics above public safety.
And there's certainly no question.
I have to ask this question.
When I started the show this afternoon and I had a tweet up this morning, we saw that video, Latin Kings member who was arrested.
Our correspondents were there on the ground, field correspondent Kevin Posovic, as that vehicle was being ransacked, as well as Nick Sortor there got the identification out.
But something that struck me that was interesting was this was a Latin Kings member.
And wasn't it just back in October that there was another Latin Kings member in Chicago, also in the Midwest, possibly the same branch of Latin Kings, that put out a bounty on Commander Bovino, who has been out there so public at these raids.
Does DHS have any information that Latin Kings are perhaps targeting Commander Bovino or other members of ICE at the behest of the cartels?
I mean, this does sort of seem like it may be connected.
Yeah, I don't think I can get too much into that at this moment.
I hope that we'll have more information for people as more details.
And as we follow these investigations and leads, we just want to make sure our law enforcement officers are safe.
Commander Bovino is safe, but I think that you are connecting the right dots, Jack.
That these are who Governor Walls and Mayor Fry are protecting and emboldening is these violent agitators.
When you're saying, when you're calling for resistance against ICE, that's exactly who's going to come and create this chaos.
But I also think, Jack, it's so important we point out who's in these jails, excuse me, who's in our detention facilities in Minneapolis?
In the last five weeks, we've arrested 2,500 criminal legal aliens.
That includes an individual who killed and murdered his three-month-old son.
That includes multiple individuals who were perpetuators of human slavery and human trafficking.
Scores of murders.
We picked up multiple murders, in fact, just yesterday.
And the list of individuals who have perpetuated crimes against children, particularly child rape and other sorts of sexual exploitation against children is just sickening.
I don't know how anyone, Republican, Democrat, Independent, any political persuasion can be defending this and not wanting these people off of our streets.
No, it's absolutely horrific.
Tricia McLaughlin, we're coming up on a quick break.
I want to hold you over because, and I want to say thank you, by the way, for the time here, giving us this access, answering these questions, because these operations are so important.
We understand that you've got so much to do.
So thank you.
right back here more with trisha mclaughlin assistant secretary of the department of homeland security human events daily real america's voice do not go anywhere He's written a fantastic book.
Everybody's talking about it.
Go get it.
And he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event.
And we're going to turn it around and make our effects begin again to him.
Amen.
All right, Jack, what's up?
We're back.
Human Events Daily.
Honored to have on the Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Tricia McLaughlin, with us here.
We're talking about Operation Metro Surge.
And Minneapolis really has become a flashpoint, I think, for our entire nation, not just the MAGA movement, but everything that's gone on politically the last 10 years, the change in our politics, moving from this more, you know, sort of uniparty to a populist system.
It really does seem like all of these factors and all of these pressures are playing out there on the streets of Minneapolis, order, chaos.
And Tricia, now we saw that Secretary Noam came out and said that, you know, ICE is not going to be buckling under this pressure at all, that in fact, operations will continue.
What can you tell us about the progress of Operation MetroSurge?
Yeah, we have a job to do, and we aren't going to bend the knee just because we have a governor and mayor who are encouraging resistance and impeding against our law enforcement, and just because we have violent agitators who are trying to obstruct our law enforcement.
We will keep going.
We know that there are scores more of criminal legal aliens who are still terrorizing Minneapolis's streets, and it's our job to get them out with or without the governor and without the mayor.
As far as progress on the ground, there, about five weeks in, we're at 2,500 criminal legal aliens who are in ISIS custody.
We've brought in more federal law enforcement that got some news over the past couple of days.
And why did we do that?
We did that because since we don't have state and local backing, our law enforcement officers are routinely being impeded, obstructed, and assaulted.
We need a way for them to continue to carry out their lawful duties, but do so in a safe way for the law enforcement officers, a safe way for the public.
So we have those federal law enforcement officers to help and carry out those operations and make sure that they're done safely.
Well, and I've seen that.
And of course, there's been this talk, Insurrection Act.
Now, President United States came out today earlier, and obviously he's been tweeting about this.
It's come up a number of times, but he did come out earlier today and said that he didn't think that he saw that it was necessary.
And this is interesting because it almost seems to me like when I hear, and just my analysis, but when I hear Tim Walz, when I hear these local politicians talk about it, it sounds like they almost want President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act because they want to distract from their own complicity in all of these fraud programs,
the fact that they were the ones putting the rubber stamp on who knows, by the way, how many millions and millions of dollars that has been stolen, by the way, stolen from the people of Minneapolis.
And by the way, the needy and disabled children.
That's literally who they were stealing from.
And this guy was up to his ears in it.
And that's to your point.
That's why he's not running again.
No, exactly.
I mean, just a couple of weeks ago, Tim Wallace was in the worst PR crisis probably of his political career.
And now, two weeks later, he really is using this as a deflection point.
I don't think that, I don't think he minds seeing the violence on the ground.
I think that he does see it as a distraction, as a distraction from the $9 billion plus that has been stolen that the American people has been stolen blind from.
I mean, to your point, Jack, who was this taken from?
Was the most vulnerable Americans among us, the disabled, children, you know, parents who live in poverty, American citizens who should have used this money and could have used this money.
And Tim Walz is saying, don't look over here, look at this.
And so it's no coincidence that he's putting out pre-recorded videos telling those on the ground to be resisting law enforcement operations, to be taking out their cameras, which is really, I mean, volatile language.
This is a serious moment for the country.
This is, of course, a very serious moment for the state.
And what you've heard from Fry and Walsh is just inflammatory.
I think what you've actually seen from President Trump and Secretary Noam has been incredibly measured.
It's really been focused on the facts, not on feelings of the moment fleeting.
And that's exactly what you've seen from them.
And it's horrific.
We had Secretary Besson on here.
He said they are tracking the money, of course, working with the financial crimes element there at the Department of Treasury, certainly working with DHS as well.
Lots of overlap there, I'm sure, because they're tracking these fraudsters from, in some cases, Minneapolis all the way back to Somalia, Mogadishu, Place of Dar es Salaam, all of these places.
It's absolutely horrific, this level of crime, this level of criminality.
And Treasure, I just know this from my own background in the intelligence community that the media likes to try to frame these things as though they're separate issues.
They're using the money to fuel these operations to get people in.
So even though we look at it as sort of separate vertical, separate funnels, in reality, in many cases, we would see this, by the way, a lot when I worked in the Navy, I was in the Navy, for counterterrorism and counter-narcotics.
Well, it would be terrorists selling narcotics to fund their terrorism.
So even though we put those on different sides of the house, in reality, it's many of the same groups.
Is that still the case?
Jack, I've never heard someone articulate that so well.
That's absolutely the case.
I often call illegally entering the country kind of the gateway crime, because if you're willing to illegally enter and remain in a country, you're willing to break the law at large because your first act in entering this country was a law-breaking one.
So you make a great point.
But I think that this, what's happening now in Minneapolis, in some ways, is all a charade.
It's all a fugazi.
This is what the mainstream media wants us to be focusing on.
It's what Governor Walsh and Mayor Fry want us to be focusing on.
They don't want us to be looking behind the curtain and seeing all the fraud that's going on.
But your viewers should know those investigations are actively, actively happening.
We do think that we're going to be having some announcements to make as far as these fraud investigations here in the coming weeks.
We have FBI on the ground with us.
We've surged Homeland Security investigators.
As you mentioned, Treasury has taken a huge role here as far as that white collar crime.
This has been a whole of government approach.
So while the media is trying to convince you, hey, look over here, look at these riots, we are still in the background working day in and day out on those investigations.
And now I also have to ask you, so we've seen Operation Metro Serve.
Serge, I noticed that it's not called Operation Minneapolis, Surge.
Metro, of course, sort of a general name for cities.
And so that leads me to believe that perhaps it could be applied to others.
Is that something that is in the cards?
I know there's some viral videos going out, Kansas City, other places, lots of ICE vehicles and parking lots.
Anything you can share with us on that front?
Anywhere where anyone is breaking the law is going to be a target.
Secretary Noam and President Trump have been very clear.
If you're in this country illegally, you need to leave now.
Incredible, generous offer of the U.S. taxpayer, $1,000, free flight home and potential opportunity to come back.
But we're going to, whether you're in Kansas City or Minneapolis, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Columbus, you name it, if you're in this country illegally, if you're committing crimes, we're going to find you and you're going to be arrested and you're going to go home.
Well, and it's as simple as that.
By the way, that's exactly because people seem to think, okay, there's, you know, there's a third option here because, of course, there's the option, pardon me, of going through the raid.
There's the option of coming in at the courthouse, but there's also a third option.
Just leave.
Just don't be here anymore.
And then it won't happen.
Funny how that works.
It really is funny how that works.
I think that's not talked enough about because the truth of the matter is, of course, we're going to be picking up all of these criminals, but it's such a disservice by these sanctuary city governors and mayors.
What they should be telling these people is, you know, this is the safest option for you.
And then you can look to come back the right legal way.
What is a disservice that they're doing to the American people, to the safety of their communities, and also to those illegal aliens themselves to encourage them to stay and to evade law enforcement, which is a federal crime?
It's as simple as that.
But of course, because it's so simple, because the restoration of order is so obvious, that's why it's obfuscated.
Trisha McLaughlin, by the way, just before we end the show, I did want to add, don't forget the great city, my hometown where I'm from, Philadelphia.
We got to get Philadelphia cleaned up for America's 250th.
Amen.
We're on it.
Thank you, Jack.
God bless.
Thank you so much.
Tricia McLaughlin.
Please go give her a follower, assistant follow, assistant secretary, Homeland Security, folks.
This is what's going on.
We're doing the work.
We're not backing down.
There is a job to do.
Did you think they would just let you take your country back?
No, we're taking our country back.
And ladies and gentlemen, we will have a home again.
