This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
Commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
This is Human Events with your host, Jack Pisovic.
Christ is king.
We are following breaking news.
Just into CNN, a Georgia prosecutor officially dropped the historic racketeering case against President Trump and others for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Clogged showers, inadequate lighting, mold growth, broken windows, methane gas leaks, fire alarms that don't work, non-existent heating.
During the last administration, these were some of the chronic living conditions in our barracks.
Even though these barracks are where hundreds of thousands of great warriors live, the conditions were never improved.
So, the Department of War is investing more than $1.2 billion right now to improve barracks conditions.
The task force is empowering local commanders, think garrison commanders, with more than $400 million to direct immediate work.
And we're launching more than $800 million in critical barracks renovations immediately.
President Trump says only a few points of disagreement remain on a possible deal to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, with a U.S. official telling CBS News yesterday that Ukraine's government had agreed to a peace proposal in principle.
Mr. Trump discussed the negotiations last night on Air Force One.
We're having some talks with Russia.
Ukraine is doing well.
I think they're pretty happy about it.
They'd like to see it end.
And we won't know for a little while, but we're making progress.
They're trying to get someone to start leaking classified information, national security information, like, oh, I don't know, the current peace negotiations between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia.
Leak that out to try to gin up yet another impeachment of President Trump.
The White House is under pressure tonight after an embarrassing leak.
Bloomberg has obtained a transcript of a phone call between Donald Trump's right-hand man, Steve Witkoff, and a key Vladimir Putin aide discussing the peace plan for Ukraine.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
We're here live, Real America's voice.
Folks, today is November 26, 2025.
Anno Domini.
And go listen to what we said.
Yes.
So yesterday, I sat down and did an interview with Liz Wheeler over on The Blaze.
And we were talking about the seditious six.
And I know I've said this here as well and other spots.
And we were talking about why did I think the seditious six put out what they put out, said what they said, Senator Mark Kelly, the rest of them, why are they supporting sedition?
Why are they asking for this?
I said they're looking for another leak.
They want someone to come forward and leak on them the same way that the phone call between Zelensky and Trump all the way back in 2019 was leaked.
And they're trying to use this eventually to set up another impeachment, a color revolution, get Trump out of office.
That's what this is all about.
Well, little did I know that at two, so Human Events Daily runs live 2 p.m. Eastern to 3 p.m. Eastern at 2.53 p.m. Eastern.
So we're on air, we're live.
There comes a story, exclusive Bloomberg News.
And what does it say?
They have just received a leaked phone call of Steve Witkoff talking to the Russians all about the Trump-Ukraine peace deal.
It's Witkoff leaks, folks.
It's not WikiLeaks anymore.
It's Witkoff leaks.
So someone, and we don't know who exactly, but someone with access to classified information.
And if you remember, by the way, go back to the Mike Flynn leaks with the Russians, David Ignatius over the Washington Post.
What did he do?
He got a leak through FISA.
So he got a leak through FISA, which was on the Russian ambassador, Sergei Kislyak's phone.
He got that leak of Mike Flynn talking to him during the transition period, and they used that to open up a Logan Act criminal investigation on National Security Advisor incoming Mike Flynn all the way back in December of 2020, or excuse me, 2016.
Gosh, it's so far, so long ago, 2016.
So could it be that elements of the U.S. government, and we don't know if it was specifically the U.S. government, possibly CIA, possibly Ukraine, and they passed it to someone we don't know exactly yet.
But there was a conversation between Steve Witkoff and the Russians, and they're having a conversation, negotiations.
The peace deal is going in.
He's talking about how the call is going to go, Trump and Putin, and they're talking about their bosses, really basic stuff that happens during negotiations.
And the media is going to be very upset.
But yes, this is standard negotiation dialogue, which he's having.
In fact, that's been Steve Witkoff's job.
That's what he was asked to do.
And in fact, by the way, dutified, duly noted and appointed by the president of the United States as a cabinet-level position to go and seek peace with these various disputes.
Now, he had Israel-Gaza a couple of months ago.
Now we're looking at Russia-Ukraine, which has really become something of the white whale of this new administration.
Because, of course, you're looking at the end of the first year and people saying, you know, is there going to be any end in sight?
Now, I've, you know, I can personally attest to these efforts because I've been there in the room, traveled all the way to the presidential palace in Kiev with Secretary Besson on the mineral deal, then traveled to Anchorage, Alaska with President Trump to sit down with Lavrov.
And Vladimir Putin himself also was there when Zelensky came to the White House along with this coalition of the willing.
And what did we see also that Macron is now calling yet again for European troops and American troops to enter Ukraine to quote maintain the peace, have a be a peacemaking force on the ground?
Well, let me tell you something right now, folks.
The old dog doesn't have any new tricks.
The neocons have one playbook and only one playbook, and that is to leak, to obfuscate, to subvert, and to try to keep the war going because they don't want us focused on the invasion of our lands.
Places like Texas, places like Western Europe, where our leaders in those areas have been complete failures.
And we don't want people waking up to what's actually going on.
Jack Pisovic, right back.
human events daily in our way and our golden age has just begun this is human events with jack now Now it's time for everyone to understand what America First truly means.
Welcome to the second American Revolution.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard.
We are back here, Human Events Daily, Real America's voice.
Folks, somewhere along the way, we in this country, we went a little bit astray.
We traded real flavor for seed oils and processed junk.
And this Thanksgiving, it's time to take back our kitchens.
And Human Events' new partners over at Steak and Shake are here to help.
And they are introducing Steak and Shakes 100% pure beef tallow.
No chemicals, no fillers, just premium beef fat rendered the old-fashioned way, the way that my Polish grandparents used to cook.
Right now, they've got two options to choose from, both at steakandshake.com.
That's steak and shake with the letter N. That's the grass-fed beef tallow, only $9 a jar.
But then there's also the American Wag You beef tallow, $12 a jar with rich, buttery taste.
Or you could bundle them both together from $19.99 and revolutionize your cooking for not just Thanksgiving, think Christmas, think gifts, folks, fry the crispiest fries, sear the perfect steak, roast vegetables, bursting with real flavor.
This is how food should taste.
So bring tradition and taste back to your table with steak and shake beef tallow.
Order now at steakandshake.com.
That's steakandshake.com with the letter N. All right, so JD Vance, we're told right now over down at Fort Campbell with Secretary of the Army Driscoll, who has also been sort of the new special envoy on Ukraine working on this tack with Witkoff.
We've got some of the images right there of Vice President JD Vance, as well as Dan Driscoll there with the troops handing out meals for this Thanksgiving time.
It's an incredible, incredible work from our vice president, former United States Marine himself.
Oh, belay my last.
There's no such thing as a former Marine.
He is a Marine.
Someone else who is a Marine is joining us right now.
It is Dan Caldwell, a former, I can say former here, official over at the Pentagon.
Dan, how are you?
I'm doing fantastic.
Thanks for having me on, Jack.
So walk me through this story of the leaks, which I have to say, you know, when I was talking about, I said, I predict there's going to be a leaked phone call of these peace talks between Trump and I thought it'd be, you know, Trump and Zelensky or Trump and Putin, but yet here we go.
Less than two hours later, we get this leak.
I'm calling it the Witkoff leaks, right?
We had the Wiki leaks, now we have the Witcoff leaks.
And they're leaking this out because it's very simple.
They're trying to blow up these peace talks.
And people are saying, oh, well, he said this about Trump and he said this about Putin.
It's just stop, right?
Stop.
They're having a conversation.
He's building rapport, obviously.
He's doing his job.
And Dan, what are you hearing inside this system?
Because I know you still have your ear to the ground in DC regarding these talks.
Why does it seem like this town, the town of DC, is trying to blow them up?
Well, they want them to fail for a number of reasons.
So let's just say you've nailed it.
The timing of this is just too perfect.
Is that President Trump truthed out that Dan Driscoll and Steve Witkoff were going to go Driscoll to Kyiv, Witkoff to Moscow, and that that was a sign that these talks were making actual progress.
So surprise, surprise, somebody, I have my suspicions of who it is, but I'm not going to say it here.
But I'll just say it's somebody who doesn't want to see these talks succeed because they have a vested interest in the war continuing.
And within Washington, D.C., there are obviously a lot of entities, you know, obviously certain parts of the government, but also the think tank community, the media.
They invested in this narrative for years that Ukraine could achieve a total victory, reclaim all the land it lost from 2014 to 2022, and ultimately deal decisive defeat to Putin.
And we all knew at the time, those of us that understand these things, that can do basic math, understood that Russia had key advantages that the Ukrainians couldn't overcome even with American and NATO support, and that the war was always going to end at the negotiating table.
And they denied that for years.
So their credibility is on the line.
And there's also people involved that have a financial interest in the war continuing.
So what they're trying to do is they're trying to take down people like Steve Witcoff.
who, by the way, I just have to say, I think is a patriot.
He could be sitting on a beach in Miami right now, but instead is flying around the world trying to end wars for President Trump.
And they're also trying to divide the Trump team.
They're trying to pit them against each other.
And it's absolutely disgusting.
But I think that the silver lining is it is a sign that these talks are making actual progress.
And that's what this is really about.
And I think you're exactly right.
And by the way, that's so true about Steve Witkoff.
And by the way, so many other members of the administration that including up to and including the president himself, they could all be just sitting on a beach.
He could be sitting down at Mar-a-Lago, which is one of the most beautiful clubs in the entire world.
And he could be kicking up.
He's got his money.
He's got his fame, his family, his supermodel wife.
You know, he could be doing it all.
He's not.
None of these guys are.
Steve Witkoff doesn't even draw a salary.
And I believe, if I remember correctly, he still flies around on his personal plane.
He doesn't even take a government plane when he's doing all this travel all around the world.
And imagine us actually having, you know, in the past, you couldn't even dream of having something like this.
So of course, what they're going to do is pit against it.
They're going to attack.
They're trying to do everything they can because when it comes down to it, I think you're right that they are and they have been selling a lie for all of these years.
And particularly, I said this on Steve Bannon earlier this morning, particularly, I think that the leaders of Western Europe are also using this threat of Russia, this constant threat of war.
You have to be careful.
We have to keep continuing the war because it's very important or else we're about to be destroyed.
What are they doing?
They're using that to distract from the failures of their own governments, the failures of massive inflation across Western Europe.
And oh, by the way, the failures of them to defend their borders in the face of this massive migrant invasion that is absolutely embroiling all of Western Europe right now.
They're raping little girls.
They're killing people.
And they say, oh, don't worry about it because the real threat is Russia.
And so I think that the minute that this goes away, now all of a sudden they're going to have to face their own people.
And by the way, that also holds true for Zelensky, who the minute that martial law is rescinded in Ukraine, he's going to have to stand for elections, which he has not done since 2019.
And he'll likely lose.
The polling in Ukraine shows that he will likely be defeated by either an alternationalist or a former member of the military.
He has a vested interest in the war continuing, or maybe as part of the peace deal, getting an out, maybe getting a condo in another country.
So I think maybe that may be at play as well too.
I just, I have to say something else, Jack, just to back up on the attacks against not just Steve Witcoff, but Dan Driscoll, Vice President Vance and whatnot, is there is an element of jealousy here is that you had the Biden administration full of these highly credentialed diplomats and people that had served in all the right posts throughout their career, people like Victoria Newland, Tony Blanken, Brett McGurk, and their entire legacy is one of failure and death and destruction.
And here you have guys like Steve Witkoff, who in nine, 10 months have ended more wars and ended more suffering and ended more bloodshed than they did in their entire 20 and 30 years.
So they're jealous.
They're jealous of what Steve Witkoff and President Trump and Vice President Vance and Secretary Rugio and now Secretary Driscoll are doing.
And that is so apparent in some of these comments you made.
I mean, God forbid you turn on CNN, but you can just see the acid and the jealousy coming out of these people.
And I think you can't ignore that human element as well too here.
Well, no, I think that's true.
And I would just add that, you know, you go back to the Obama administration, which of course Biden played a huge role in, and all the way back to the events of 2014, where you've got, again, you just can't separate all of these things that happened.
And people say, why are you bringing that stuff up?
Because you can't separate them from the history.
You can't separate the fact that Biden's son was on the board of an energy company in Ukraine while he was the sitting vice president in the middle of what a lot of people have called a regime change operation.
Certainly something that had folks like John McCain and Lindsey Graham and others going over there, trying to fan the Amy Klobuchar was over there, trying to fan the flames.
Standing with literal Nazis.
Right, right, with standing on stage with literal Nazis and people who were mercilessly slaughtering Jewish and Polish villages in eastern Galatia, you know, during World War II, these reprisals, the Banderas.
And yet, you know, we act like, oh, no, this was just, you know, it was just a totally natural organic uprising.
The United States had nothing to do with it.
And, you know, you really have to sit back and ask the question, you know, when people in the area feel that this was provoked, when we do things like that, they might just have a point.
Yeah, absolutely.
You cannot, there's a straight line from Victoria Newland handing out cookies on the Maidan to neo-Nazi organizations to what we're dealing with now.
It's a straight line of foreign policy establishment failure.
And that is the world that President Trump walked into.
And it's a world he has to operate in.
And this gets to the most important point is that there's this delusion that there's this magic set of sanctions and munitions and arms that you can dump into Ukraine.
You can impose these sanctions on Russia and Russia will buckle and withdraw and agree to terms that are more favorable to Ukraine.
That is not reality.
And the reality is, is that the longer this goes on, the worse it gets for Ukraine.
And President Trump and his team knows that.
And that is why they are aggressively pursuing this deal.
And all the people that are trying to say that it gives too much to Russia or it's going to undermine Ukraine's sovereignty.
Wait six months.
Wait six months and it is going to be fundamentally worse for Ukraine.
And the deal will be worse for them then.
No, the deal's only going to get what the best deal is the first deal, right?
The best deal is always the first deal.
Every single deal since then, the price goes up and up and up.
And not just terms of concessions, but also in terms of the amount of men, materiel, manpower, and human lives that are lost every single day on the battlefield of a war of choice, a war of choice.
Right back, Jack Posobiec and Caldwell Human Events Daily.
These are influencers.
And they're friends of mine.
Jack Krasovic.
Where's Jack?
Jack.
He's got a great job.
All right, Jack Krasovic, we are back live, Human Events Daily.
kind of a live shot or just moments ago shot, I should say.
Or no, no, this is live.
They blame my last.
It actually is live.
That's JD Vance, Second Lady, Usha Vance, Dan Driscoll.
They're down at Fort Campbell in Kentucky right now, handing out food to the Trumps or to the troops, not the Trumps, over at the DFAC.
That's incredible to see him there handing out some chow.
Folks, the Gmail breach exposed millions.
Your personal data is at risk.
Whistleblowers just sounded the alarms on a massive Gmail breach, hitting 183 million user accounts.

Dan Campbell, Caldwell, gosh, Fort Campbell.
Slept on a plane again last night, Dan.
What can you do?
That I think it's my fourth red eye in like six days or something.
So running down to the bone here, but Dan Caldwell, as we look at Fort Campbell, what is the deal with all of these peace plans?
We're here, the 28-point plan, the 19-point plan, the European plan, the Ukrainian plan, the Russian plan.
Is there any one plan?
And I think obviously the answer is that clearly these are ongoing negotiations and people are trying to get in.
So what are your sense that on that?
But then also let's get into some of these sticking points on the various iterations of the plans.
So first of all, my advice to all your listeners and viewers is what I was told when I went as a Marine to Iraq, and that is believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see.
Right now, there is a massive disinformation campaign going on to try and shape the narrative about these deals.
And you also have the Ukrainians, the Russians, and the Europeans.
They're trying to speak to certain domestic constituencies.
And in the case of the Ukrainians, I believe that they're trying to save face, is that a lot of them know they're going to have to make some tough concessions, and they don't want to give that impression right off the bat.
So there's a lot of people leaking to the various media outlets and friendly reporters trying to shape a narrative here.
And everybody should be suspicious of that.
But ultimately, at the end of the day, I think that this is really going to come down to a couple major issues.
And first and foremost, I think the biggest one is Ukraine's alignment, whether or not it's going to join NATO or it's going to join the EU, either economically or part of the whole package, which includes certain security guarantees.
And then what type of security guarantee is going to be given to Ukraine and how that is structured.
Secondarily to that is the issue of territory.
Are there going to be land swaps?
Is the line of contact going to be frozen?
Are there going to be other types of deals around territory like a demilitarized zone?
And I think the other big issue is going to be the size and scope of the Ukrainian military.
And what I just finally say on this is that one thing that I would advise everyone is that there's going to be some face-saving things for both sides that fall under these buckets.
So like the cap on the Ukrainian army, in my view, doesn't really matter that much.
If there's a 600,000 cap or an 800,000 cap, the reality is the Ukrainians are unlikely going to be able to sustain a military of 500,000.
But if there is a cap, then the Russians can say they got something out of that.
So there's going to be a lot of things like that playing out.
And ultimately, at the end of the day, where I think those issues are truly going to be resolved is when Steve Witkoff and Dan Driscoll and others get it to a point where President Trump, Zelensky, and Putin are ready to sit down.
And it's those three that are going to ultimately resolve those issues.
Well, and a big piece of this too, of course, is the security guarantee, because I've heard, you know, in one of the drafts, I believe it's the European draft, they're talking about a potential roadmap for Ukraine to join NATO.
And I came on the program and said, well, there's no way Russia is going to agree to that.
That's been their sole main sticking point of any, you know, of any agreement.
That's why they launched the war was over this issue.
So they're just not going to agree to that in any situation.
They're going to say, if that's your, you know, your condition, we're just going to keep fighting.
And then what it also comes down to, the idea of land swap, I saw that, obviously, Wickhoff mentions that in the leaked transcript, but at the same time, I haven't really seen any proposals for Russia to give back any land that they've taken save that DMZ potentially in Donetsk.
Correct.
And I think they hold small amounts of territory in Kharkiv and Sumy province.
They'd probably withdraw from there and maybe agree to some type of buffer zone.
But there likely wouldn't be a lot of land given back on the Russian side.
I think that's reality.
But Jack, you're absolutely right about the NATO point.
And I think it's also worth noting too that President Trump repeatedly, going back years, has said that Ukraine shouldn't be in NATO and said exactly what you said is that this is one of the main drivers of the war.
I was with Secretary Eggsef back in February, where he made very clear in front of all the NATO defense ministers and the Ukraine contact group that we don't believe that Ukraine should join NATO.
And so I think that that for the United States and Russia is a deal breaker.
But for the Europeans, they keep pushing that in my view, because a lot of the members of the EU and European members of NATO, let's just be honest, they want the war to continue.
So they're trying to insert that as a poison pill to undermine the negotiations and ultimately keep this war going on as long as it can for their own reasons.
Indeed, they do.
All right, Jack Posobiec, Dan Caldwell, right back, Human Events Daily.
Where's Jack?
Where is he?
Jack, I want to see you.
Great job, Jack.
Thank you.
What a job you do.
You know, we have an incredible thing.
We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys that be getting public.
All right, Jack Pasovic, we're back live here, Human Events Daily.
We're on Dan Caldwell.
Dan, you know, what's interesting about all of this is you and I are sitting here and we were chatting during the break a little bit, but we're having this discussion about the Ukraine-Russia peace deal.
We're trying to be very sober about this, not give, you know, not let emotions or, you know, opinions really guard it other than this is analysis, right?
This is understanding what the status of forces is on the ground, understanding what the order of battle is, and trying to look at what's in the best interests of certainly the United States and, you know, hopefully obviously our allies and partners as well.
But that's not what you get from a lot of people when you read about this conflict.
What you get are these sweeping statements about legitimacy and credibility and histrionics and shrieking from the neocon crowd.
And I guess my sense of it is, you know, and having worked in the IC and having worked in DC, I do try to get us, you know, this, there's one school of thought, right, that says, okay, it's all cynical.
It's all about money.
It's about oil.
It's about this and that.
And to be sure, that plays a part.
But I don't know if that completely answers the question.
I think that a lot of the neocons, they just actually believe this stuff like it's a religion.
Absolutely.
Their religion is American primacy.
It is America needs to not just be the most powerful country in the world, which we should strive to be, but we need to dominate the world so we can oppose liberal hegemony.
Is that they believe that ultimately America was founded.
And obviously, this is the wrong interpretation of America's founding, but that America was founded with this holy mission to make the world safe, not for Americans, but for liberalism as a whole.
And so for them, especially over the last few years, is that Russia-Ukraine has become the central theater in that battle.
Never mind the fact that as the war has dragged on, Ukraine has indisputably become more illiberal.
You know, as you mentioned earlier, Zelensky's ruling under martial law.
They're cracking down on media outlets in Ukraine.
They're trying to close certain churches in Ukraine.
And they're press gaining tens of thousands of Ukrainian men and forcing them to serve on the front lines.
By no reasonable measures, that a symptom of a healthy liberal democracy, not to mention the recent corruption scandal that is rocking Ukraine.
And so for them, they are so invested in that narrative, in that mission, that if the war ends with anything short of a total Ukraine victory, it is going to shatter a core tenet of their faith.
And so that is driving a lot of this.
It's not like, it's not just the military-industrial complex wanting to make more money.
In reality, Jack, as you've talked about before, is military-industrial complex is more work than they can handle.
They have like seven, eight, 10 years worth of backlogs and orders.
So that's not the only motivation here.
Definitely people want to make money off of it.
But in the United States and the Beltway, there are so many people just invested emotionally and personally in this that it's like this quasi-religious fervor that really has overtaken their thinking and preventing them from doing reasonable analysis of this conflict.
I'm so glad you put it that way.
It truly is the religion of DC, the Bible of the Beltway, if you will.
And the Bible is about what gets taught when you're going through, you know, George Washington University or you're going through Georgetown or whatever it is, or any of the, you know, the foreign policy schools, you get taught neoconservatism, neoliberalism.
And that is your sole.
And by the way, that doesn't matter if you're a Republican or a Democrat.
You get taught that this is a central tenet of our faith, that the United States must be this, what they call it, you know, the global guarantor, right?
The global guarantor of the international rules-based order.
And by the way, Tony Blinken would talk about this at length.
And this is one of the reasons that they oppose Trump so much, because Trump doesn't play within the rules.
He holds these unilateral calls.
He appoints people like Steve Witkoff, right?
So to them, they view Trump.
It isn't even just so much that he's offering a peace deal to the Russians.
It's the way that he's going about it.
He's not kissing the ring.
He's not going through the institutions.
So it's like he's not working through his diocese and his archdiocese and his bishop and the Monsignors and the Cardinals.
No, he's set up his own religion and he's trying to do it on his own.
And that's the kind of response you're getting.
You're getting a response of a religion that's trying to drive out a heretic.
Oh, absolutely.
You know, and in this case, the cathedrals are places like AEI, you know, on the right and Brookings on the left, which I just have to note.
The differences between those institutions aren't much.
The same families run the foreign policy.
The same family runs the foreign policy program largely at both institutions.
Fred Kagan at AEI, his brother, Bob Kagan at Brookings, who, by the way, is married to Victoria Newland.
So a lot of the, as you pointed out, like the debate really is within the 40-yard lines here, and there's not much difference.
And that was the case for, you know, nearly 30 years until Donald Trump comes down the golden escalator in 2015 and just blows it all up.
And a lot of the anger against him, a lot of the just the over-the-top rhetoric.
And let's be honest, a lot of the actions by the national security state against him have been driven by the fact that he's a heretic in the main religion in DC, and that religion is liberal hegemony.
And by the way, you know, as I obviously see what's going on down in Venezuela or off the coast of Venezuela, and certainly the president is within his rights and absolutely within the interest of the United States to drive out narco-terrorists that are affecting our country.
But at the same time, you do hear and you can feel those winds of liberal hegemony pushing that naval flotilla, that carrier-strike group closer and closer to Venezuela because they want to drive this out and get us embroiled in yet another war, the Vietnam of the tropics, I guess, right in our own hemisphere, because this is a religious fervor for these people.
Right.
And again, as you and I have discussed, what matters in our own hemisphere is more important than the negligible issue of which Eastern European oligarch gets to loot the Donbass.
You know, that's maybe a little flippant, but let's just be honest.
It's like that doesn't really matter to our core.
That's great politics.
It's just true.
Yes, exactly.
It's just true.
But, you know, so we do, this does matter.
The cartels and other entities in the Western hemisphere are more of a threat to us than, say, the remits, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS in the Middle East.
But I don't think it's in our interest to conduct a regime change war in our own hemisphere right now.
We'll see what happens there.
It looks like President Trump has maybe backed off and is trying to once again pursue diplomacy with Maduro.
We'll see how that develops.
But it's interesting is that there actually are some people in the, who traditionally are war hawks opposing what is happening in Venezuela because one, it's President Trump doing it, let's be honest.
But also, two, is that they are more attached to what happens in the Middle East or in Eastern Europe than our own hemisphere because they don't really have an attachment to here at home.
It's the attachment to the global project of liberal hegemony.
And so that's why you have Bill Crystal, who's who's never met a war he didn't like.
I mean, a few years ago, he was talking about making Cuba our 51st state.
But he's raising concerns about doing stuff in Venezuela.
And so that's something I'm starting to see pop up is people opposing this and calling for congressional oversight in Venezuela when they've opposed it for years in Ukraine and Iraq and Syria and Afghanistan.
Because for them, it's about the global project, not what actually matters to us here in our own backyard.
Right, because we're not exactly up against another empire there.
It's not exactly this crossroads of the world, the, you know, where East meets West.
I mean, Ukraine itself, the name Ugarenica means at the border, means borderland.
So it's always been this sort of area where, you know, you've seen this clash of empires.
And of course, we saw that in World War I.
We saw that in World War II, and we see it yet again today, Napoleonic Wars.
Everyone knows the history.
And if you don't, you should start learning it because you will be doomed to repeat it.
Final minute to you, Dan Claudwell, and make sure you also give us your coordinates for where to follow you.
Jack, I just want to say real quickly, you absolutely need to learn about that history, not just World War II.
I'd advise everybody to learn about another war besides World War II, specifically World War I.
But putting that aside, where you can find me the most is on X at Dan D. Caldwell on X.
And Jack, thank you for having me on.
I really love this discussion.
All right.
And by the way, just to get this out there, because this has been kind of blowing up on my Twitter feed, I got to know what is your stance on green bean casserole.
Are you for or are you against?
Can green bean casserole be part of your Thanksgiving dinner?
I have never had green bean casserole as part of Thanksgiving.
That doesn't mean I'm opposed to it.
This is a cop-out.
Okay.
Maybe I'd like it.
Maybe I'm not.
That's just not something my family's ever done.
But okay, but how about in okay, how about in the abstract, in general, is green bean casserole served at your table?
I don't think I've ever.
I look, you may kick me off the show, my family.
I see what's going on, Dan.
You're coming over.
We're having dinner.
Tanya's making the casserole.
We're going to twist you on this, man.
Absolutely.
I'd love it.
Going to get you on the team.
Hey, happy Thanksgiving, brother.
I'll be right back.
QInvents Daily.
He's written a fantastic book.
Everybody's talking about it.
Go get it.
And he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event.
And we're going to turn it around and make our country great again.
Amen.
All right, folks, we're back.
Jack Pasovic here, Human Events Daily.
I want to thank Dan Caldwell for coming on and giving us that great round robin, Ukraine, Russia, Venezuela.
We kind of hit all of it.
The Witcoff leagues, we got in there.
So Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and we're obviously very excited about that.
I'm very excited about that.
We're going to be home, Philadelphia area.
Probably going to be probably going to be seeing a football game at some point this weekend, but more to come on that.
And we've got something really exciting for everybody on.
So Thanksgiving Thursday and then of course Black Friday right after, what we're going to be doing here on Human Events Daily is taking kind of a different tack on things.
And there's been a few stories that I've wanted to get to and really just sit down and devote a lot of time to.
And the biggest one, I think, of course, that's clearly on my mind and all of our minds.
It's certainly not never far from my thoughts is the murder of my friend Charlie Kirk.
And we are, I've got the, you know, the t-shirt on here, the black freedom shirt.
And these are available, by the way.
If you want one of these, you just go to turningpoint.com.
They gave me a shirt and they said that if I want the shirt, I have to say turningpoint.com.
So you can go and get the, they've got shirts, they've got hats, they've got other things up.
But we're going to try to dig in into the case of Tyler Robinson himself.
Who was this guy?
Why did he do what he's alleged to have done?
What was his relationship with Lance Twiggs, his homosexual boyfriend and then later trans furry lover?
And how did liberalism, furry fetishes, pornography, and all the rest of it lead to what we're told is him climbing up on that roof and taking shots at my friend.
And so we're going to spend two days on this.
We're going to go through leaks that originally were released by a YouTuber called Turkey Tom.
And we're going to talk about it with Liz Wheeler tomorrow.
And then a Friday, we've got clinical psychologist Dr. Chloe Carmichael is going to join us.
And with Dr. Chloe, we're actually going to do a sort of psychoanalysis, psychoanalytical description of the relationship between these two, what makes them tick, how one drove the other, and potentially what the motive may have been.
All of this is going to come out at the trial, by the way.
So we're clearly trying to get ahead of that.
But even for my own edification, this is how I deal with things, folks.
This is how I, when something like this happens, you know, other people, you know, have different processes.
My process is this.
I want to know everything.
I want to understand it.
I want to get my arms around it.
I want to get my head around it.
So that's what we want to dig into.
Last night, we played on thought crime some of the footage from last year's Thanksgiving episode.
And it was a really interesting time because I want to put you into the context of where we were a year ago, Thanksgiving, the last Thanksgiving.
So Charlie and I were down in Florida and we were spending a lot of time at Mar-a-Lago.
It was the transition period.
So just picture it, right?
The context, Trump has just won the election.
The MAGA movement is ascendant, won the popular vote, won all the swing states.
And, you know, you're down there.
You're seeing, you know, Pete Hegseth is coming in and then gets announced that he's going to be Secretary of Defense, later Secretary of War.
You're seeing so many people come in through the cabinet.
You're seeing the incredible work of the Trump team as they go from being the campaign senior staff, Susie Wiles, Stephen Miller, Stephen Chung, Caroline Levitt, everybody, going through Taylor Butovich, Dan Scavino, so many names, right?
And I apologize for anyone that I may have missed.
But it was an incredible time.
And, you know, Charlie was on top of the world.
He was absolutely on top of the world.
Who does he want to be in the next government?
Elon, of course, is all over.
And a lot of late nights just sitting out with Elon on the terrace at Mar-a-Lago chatting.
So in the middle of all this, we put together a, because, you know, we're all in great moods.
So we put together this thought crime Thanksgiving special.
And Charlie and I, for once, it was just the two of us in the studio together.
And it's just from a personal note, one of my favorite times that we did the show.
And it's probably my favorite episode.
I'm going to go after the say, and it's my favorite episode.
And I want to play a clip of that for you right now because it was not us just agreeing.
No, we got into it.
And I held Charlie's feet to the fire.
By the way, by the way, I don't want to throw my mom under the bus because every single year, and I know she's going to watch this, every single year post that, there's like a selection of pumpkin pies that is always available.
The way it must be.
By the way, do you think that pecan pie can also make an appearance?
Of course.
Okay, good.
Most of those pies can be there, but pumpkin is the only thing.
I actually prefer more than pumpkin pie.
However, I must have a slice of pumpkin pie.
Wait, were you always like that, though?
When you were little, my mom makes a killer pecan pie.
Okay.
Like, destroys the world.
Okay.
What about younger?
I was always pumpkin, but then pecan pie.
Now we're getting into chocolate pecan pie, and that's where you just surrender.
You're just done at that point.
So you throw, you throw it, because guys, you know, folks who don't know, Charlie, you're usually pretty strict with your diet.
you're usually it's like yeah you're usually like no no but thanksgiving's different Thanksgiving is all in.
So that's us one year ago.
That's me and Charlie in studio.
And, you know, I got to say, just look, no hate for pecan pie.
I like pecan pie.
I'm not against pecan pie, but it's not better than pumpkin.
All right.
It's just not better than pumpkin.
But to his credit, Charlie did admit that pumpkin pie is required for Thanksgiving.
And in fact, we put together, and if you guys want to go watch the episode, it's up on Charlie Kirk's podcast and you can get it on Human Events Daily as well.
We're going to be re-airing a lot of this.
We put together Charlie Kirk's entire Thanksgiving menu.
And so I want everyone to go and check that out.
So he's got, you know, turkey is required, turkey with gravy, stuffing, and he gives out an entire recipe for stuffing, cranberry straight from the can, no alterations, by the way, to the can.
Sweet potatoes, but no marshmallows.
Charlie believed that marshmallows were kind of a new age thing and they're not really part of it.
And then, yes, you cap it all off with that commandment.
And what he said was the first commandment of Thanksgiving, thou shalt have pumpkin pie.
Great dinner, great meal.
I didn't know that.
I remember going into the episode.
I don't even think we were planning to talk about Thanksgiving or maybe just we were going to talk about like what we did.
And I had no idea that Thanksgiving was such an important holiday for Charlie and something that he took so incredibly seriously.
But it was cool to see that this really was a big holiday for him.
And, you know, I'll just say this, that, you know, you saw that video of him talking about his mom making such a, what he said, a killer pecan pie.
And I hope that she's making it again this year.
And I hope that she continues to serve it because it was her son's favorite pie, favorite pie.
And, but you got to also have the pumpkin pie as well.
Can't can't break the first commandment of Thanksgiving.
So I know that all of us are going to be thinking about Charlie a lot during the holidays.
And what can I say?
It is kind of hitting me a little more.
I do also have.
Oh, it's over there.
The new book.
So this is a copy of the new book that Charlie is going to be putting out.
It comes out December 9th.
I wanted to give some promo.
It's called Stop in the Name of God.
It's about how Charlie would take one day a week off of social media and focus on family, focus on God, focus on reading.
So taking that one day off, Stop in the Name of God.
And the Forward is done by Erica Kirk.
So, got my copy.
Really, really want to say thank you to everybody for getting the early copy of this.
We're going to be checking it out this weekend, of course, over Thanksgiving.
And if you guys want to get a copy of it as well, you guys can go ahead and pre-order that right now.
And, you know, from the Posto family to all of yours, have a happy Thanksgiving.
Think of what you're thankful for.
Be thankful for the things that you have because you could lose them in an instant.
And I'll just say this, folks: that for this Thanksgiving at our table, we're going to be leaving a chair empty for Charlie.
As a reminder, not that he's gone, but a reminder that he's with us celebrating Thanksgiving up in heaven with Rush and all the heroes, because that's where Charlie is right now.
