The Syrian government has lost control of Aleppo for the first time since the start of the country's 13-year-old war.
Rebel fighters appeared to take control of the major city of Aleppo after a battle with government troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad.
The Assad regime has responded with airstrikes backed by Russia.
It comes nearly 14 years into a war that has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, which until recently was locked in a stalemate.
Syrian and Russian jets are stepping up joint strikes on opposition forces in the northern part of the country.
Syria's volunteer rescue group, the White Helmet, says airstrikes on Sunday have killed dozens of people.
And this comes in retaliation for that sudden offensive that caused the Syrian regime control of the country's second largest city, Aleppo.
Rebel forces also say they are expanding their control in the country, claiming that they have now made significant gains in the northern countryside of Aleppo, capturing several towns and villages.
No one is above the law.
Nobody is above the law.
No one is above the law.
Breaking overnight, President Joe Biden granted a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter.
President-elect Trump proving once again he plans to shake up Washington in his second term, announcing plans to nominate Kash Patel as his next FBI director.
To me, Kash Patel, And I don't say this lightly, is the most dangerous nominee that we've seen yet to our democracy.
It's a terrible development for the men and women of the FBI, and also for the nation that depends on a highly functioning, professional, independent Federal Bureau of Investigation.
I talked to Cash immediately after the nomination by the president, and it's a fantastic nomination to clean up the deep state, the admin state, and the nanny state.
I'd shut down the FBI Hoover building, On day one and reopening the next day as a museum of the deep state.
And I take the 7,000 employees that work in that building and send them across America to chase down criminals.
Go be cops.
You're cops.
Go be cops.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily here live, Washington, D.C. Today is December 2nd, 2024, Anno Domini.
A lot going on over the weekend, folks, and so we're here to break it all down.
All right, folks, let's talk about why Kash Patel is exactly the man we need to clean up the mess at the FBI. You gotta understand, the FBI has been in the deep state's back pocket for too long, and it needs someone with the guts to shake things up.
Here's why Kash is the guy.
First of all, Cash isn't your typical Washington bureaucrat.
He's not part of the establishment that turns a blind eye to corruption for political gain.
He's a former federal prosecutor.
That means he knows the ins and outs of legal battles.
He's been in the trenches.
He's seen firsthand how the system can be manipulated.
And this isn't just about knowing the law, which he does, but it's also about understanding where the system fails and how to fix it.
What's more, Cash was right there in the thick of it during Trump's first term.
Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense, serving on the National Security Council, and he was part of uncovering what we all know as a hoax, the Russia investigation.
He's got the inside knowledge of how these agencies operate.
The good, the bad, the ugly.
He knows where the bodies are buried, literally and metaphorically.
Now think about this.
The FBI needs someone who's not just going to maintain the status quo.
They need someone who's going to challenge it, to reform it, to bring back the integrity that's been lost.
Kash Patel has been vocal about the deep state and about the need for transparency and accountability.
You don't get that from someone who's too scared to rock the boat.
He's already shown that he's willing to call out the corruption at the highest level.
So let's get real here.
The FBI has been used as a political weapon.
We know this.
But with cash at the helm, you've got someone who's going to ensure that doesn't happen again.
He understands the importance of law enforcement serving the people, not political agendas.
His work with Devin Nunez on the Intel Committee, that wasn't just about playing defense.
It was about exposing the truth.
And that's exactly what the FBI needs right now.
So here we are, America.
You want to restore trust in our institutions?
That starts with putting people in power who aren't just there to keep things the same.
Kash Patel isn't here to play nice with the establishment.
No, he's here to clean house.
He's got the experience, the knowledge, and most importantly, the backbone to make the FBI what it was meant to be, a guardian of justice, not a political tool.
That's why Kash Patel is the right man for this critical moment for this job.
And I gotta say, I am proud to know Kash, to be friends with Kash, and also the fact that President Trump is nominated, it shows him The absolute consummate trust that President Trump is putting in this movement and the fact that President Donald J. Trump intends to make good on the promises that he made on the campaign trail.
Be right back.
Huge show today.
Today, Human Events Daily continues.

All right, I'm very excited to have now on Liz the Great, by the way, the great Liz Collin from Alpha News is here.
She came on multiple times throughout the election.
We talked about the various different coverage of what was going on.
Tim Walz, of course, the governor.
Liz, I gotta say, you must be really heartbroken that Tim Walz isn't going to be our vice president.
Good to see you again, Jack.
Yeah, it's been interesting watching him back here these last weeks.
He's talking with the media again.
The media, I should say, that he ignored Jack, the local media, for many months, refusing to grant any interviews.
But he made his first public comments a few weeks ago to supporters, and then last week had a bit more of an open press conference.
I think the hardest question was something about if he had Any regrets?
Jack, he does not.
That's what he said.
No regrets from his time on the campaign trail.
And in fact, he was happy to share Minnesota's story, is what he said.
That story, I think, included a lot of open eyes along the way to Minnesotans who weren't even fully aware of Tim Walz, not only his current beliefs and radical policies, but his past relationships with China.
A lot of people still asking questions here in Minnesota about if anything will come now of these investigations.
These were You know, federal investigations about these China ties and also millions of dollars in fraud on Governor Walz's watch.
So what will happen?
But also he's going back to St. Paul, to the capital of Minnesota with less power.
The DFL trifecta is over after the elections in Minnesota.
Interestingly enough, Jack, four counties in Minnesota flipped red this time.
Trump did not win Minnesota, but it was very close.
And one of those counties was in fact the home county of Tim Walz, where he was a long-time educator in Mankato.
So, yeah, I actually remember seeing this during the when we were going through some of the election results.
And, you know, Minnesota had been one of those states where I know some people had said it's, you know, kind of close to the bubble.
It might be on the bubble in terms of being a swing state.
Of course, Mike Lindell, of course, is who's a good friend.
And he's got the factory there with my fellows.
And he's always you know, he's always telling us that it's, oh, you know, we're a red state.
We got we got red state bones, Jack, and they just can't, you know, just can't got to overcome what's what comes out of Minneapolis.
But when it really comes down to it, this is the first time we've seen in a very long time that Minnesota, I think, really came closer to flipping.
And what's incredible, of course, is the fact that obviously your governor was on the ticket.
How do you account for that?
Yeah, it really is quite something, and I think something that a lot of people are not going to let go, and for good reason.
We have the House now that is at a tie as they head back in January.
The state legislature getting going here, which we've been doing a lot of reporting on over at Alpha News, but also there's a lot of press now surrounding some election questions.
Specifically kind of focused on a couple of different races, but a lawsuit in fact just filed today after a House race ended up with some missing ballots that were disposed of that should not have been, and the Democrat winning by just 14 votes.
So I don't think we're done quite yet with how this is all going to shake out.
But I do.
I think that it was very close this time around.
And it also says a lot that Walls lived in one particular area for about 20 years in Minnesota.
And that went red as opposed to being a blue county for the first time in quite a bit here.
Well, and I just have to say, and I'll throw this on everyone else, is that, you know, and you would know better than me, but there was this narrative, there was this mainstream media narrative that Tim Walz on the ticket would be the connection that the Democrat Party was looking for,
for that masculine, rugged, you know, Alpha male, alpha news, you know, type figure that they could reconnect with white males, with rural males, and that this guy was going to be the masculine figure to bring Democrat values and middle American dads and guys together.
And I remember thinking that, and Richard Barris, you know, the political analyst that actually got, I believe, number one pollster nationwide, would come on and say, but Jack, that's not how Tim Walz's gubernatorial races have ever played out.
He doesn't win the state because of rural areas.
He wins the state because of the blue centers, and that's pretty much it.
Yeah, if you look at that map, Jack, that's exactly what happened in this election.
You have a couple of blue dots, maybe a few, including St. Louis County up in the Duluth area.
But otherwise, you're not even really a light red.
It was a very bright red turnout.
And also the state legislature now securing a couple more seats.
The Iron Range used to be held by Democrats in a very blue area, and that is just not the case anymore moving forward.
And a lot of this was really exposed.
Again, being a reporter here for so long, it is interesting as you see people sort of catch on.
You know, especially being over in independent media, the mainstream media here in town was actually finally forced to report on so much of this, things that they'd ignored for years.
You know, we've sort of been talking about it for a very long time over at Alpha News, especially these lies, these character questions that I think people should have been asking very early on with Walls.
Why was he lying about everything?
You know, and then it is interesting to see him sort of get this passed as he comes back.
He says now, in addition to no regrets, that he is now focused more on listening to the other side and listening more.
But I think time will tell.
He has not ruled out running again as governor in Minnesota.
I'm not sure if the appetite is really quite here for that, but we'll of course keep you posted.
No, absolutely, and certainly the two Senate seats as well.
Look at it this way.
If there were a way for the Republican Party to win statewide, either presidential level or Senate or gubernatorial races, do you think there would potentially be a path there, given the results that we saw in this race?
I see this all over the state of Minnesota.
I agree with what you've been told.
This seems like a very red state to me, where you see a lot of these radical policies are in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
And for the most part, a lot of people don't even go there anymore after what happened with the riots, after the home of the defund and the police movement, crimes that take place in those cities that we never would have reported on ever before.
I think even just over the past few days, there's been a couple more homicides in Minneapolis.
Homicide rate is up 30 or 40 percent over where it was last year.
In that city as record crime continues.
But again, that's why I think a lot of Republicans become frustrated in Minnesota that does their vote even count because they clearly have a math problem on their hands to overcome these big population hubs of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
No, I think that's right.
Exactly.
And in addition, though, this is going to be a huge target vector.
And you and I have spoken before about the illegal alien situation.
And again, you know, we're not talking about from the northern border.
We're talking about from all over the world who seem to somehow, for whatever reason, and obviously you've gone through chapter and verse, why they end up in Minnesota.
Yeah, we have free health care now, Jack, for people who are here illegally, free college, they can drive, they can get a driver's license.
These are all things that have happened under walls.
He has certainly opened the door and there are many incentives here.
We have day workers line up each and every day in Minneapolis by the dozens looking for work.
We've spoken to them on many occasions.
We have hotels, housing, illegal immigrants around the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
And they've talked to us about how they're getting compensated credit cards.
They're staying for free.
They're very open about all of that, but absolutely, it's a good point.
And again, all programs offered by the governor here.
Well, there you go.
All programs offered by the governor.
It sounds like something that Tom Holman is going to have to take a look at here in just a couple of weeks.
I don't know, Liz, maybe I'll have to call you down to the ICE office for a little sit down with the boarders if you're interested.
Oh, absolutely.
I think it's very interesting that we have yet to hear from Mayor Fryer.
I expect many of them to come out and say they're going to do everything they can to keep ICE out of Minnesota.
Oh, it's coming.
I'm sure it's coming.
I'm happy to pass along information when the time comes, for sure, Jack.
I'm sure it's coming.
Liz, where can people go to follow you and get all the access to your writings and everything Alpha News is doing?
Yeah, just head on over to alphanews.org and I'm Liz Collin News on X. I did a recent story also with Derek Chauvin.
I know I've spoken about that case quite a bit with the death of George Floyd.
A prison interview with him that I posted recently.
I encourage people to continue to follow that case and that story as well.
Oh, I'm going to pull that and I'm going to post that.
That's perfect.
Thank you so much, Liz, and thank you for not letting these stories go by the wayside.

Hunter Biden.
This entire situation that we saw.
Hunter Biden getting the blanket pardon that he got last night.
From his dad, from dear old dad over there.
Now this, this, I got to tell you folks, I've never seen anything like this.
I've never heard of anything like this.
A 10 year blanket pardon, which goes all the way back to what?
Oh, that's right.
January, 2014. January, 2014. That's a very specific date.
Why would it go back?
Could it be perhaps that someone's worried about, oh, I don't know, statute of limitations?
Perhaps a 10-year statute of limitations?
Oh, it's so perfect.
Of course, because what was Hunter Biden up to back in 2014?
Well, we know what Joe Biden was up to back in 2014 because he was intimately involved in something called the Maidan coup of 2014. And what was the Maidan coup, do you ask?
Well, this was Biden.
This was Biden, John McCain, Victoria Newland, and the idea that they would overthrow the government of Ukraine, And install a pro-Western, pro-US leadership.
This is the same type of thinking, by the way.
Keep in mind, this is only a couple of years after the same group of people kicked off the Syrian civil war.
And we're going to talk about this in a second because Syria is kicking off too.
But understand, this is the neocon, neoliberal, color revolution, regime change operation manifesto.
This is their playbook.
This is exactly what they do every time.
They run these operations around the world.
They think that they know best.
They know who should be in charge of that country.
No, no, no, no.
It'll be great for Ukraine if we get rid of this guy.
We're going to install our own president of Ukraine.
He's going to be so much better.
Oh, and by the way, we're going to grease the skids with Hunter Biden.
We're going to grease the skids with some money from dear old dad.
Yeah, throw him on the board of Burisma.
Don't worry about it.
That's going to make sure that we take it.
And keep in mind, Biden was never supposed to be president.
Remember, you got to go all the way back, folks.
You got to go way, way, way, way back.
You got to put yourself in the mindset of 2014. Hillary Clinton was supposed to be president in 2016. Hillary Clinton was supposed to win.
And once you understand that Hillary Clinton was supposed to win 2016, then the rest of this all falls into place.
Because you think, wait a minute, why does it seem like so many of these operations are either half-baked, We're good to go.
Jill from Jersey.
Jersey Jill.
Oh yeah, Jersey Jill.
Probably holding her husband's arthritic hand there while he signs the document, signing over.
And by the way, there's no love lost between Jill and Hunter Biden.
Understand that.
There's no love lost between Jill and Hunter Biden.
What's really going on here?
She doesn't want anyone digging into it.
None of them want anyone digging into it.
They don't want a Kash Patel or a Pam Bondi or Donald Trump himself asking any questions or having any situation where he can really dig in and they know Hunter is the fall guy.
So what do they do?
They give him the blanket pardon.
By the way, The blanket pardon for Hunter Biden also covers what?
Oh, right!
The White House cocaine.
Remember the White House cocaine?
Well, I guess Hunter Biden could walk right out today and say, yep, it was mine.
Doesn't matter.
Blanket pardon, blanket immunity.
You gotta love it, folks.
An absolute blanket pardon.
And that's the plenary power of the president when it comes to pardons at the federal level, too.
No president can have their pardon overturned.
So what does that mean?
So that means it's an absolute power of the presidency, plenary power.
So the Supreme Court can't overturn it.
Congress can't overturn it.
The next president can't overturn it.
In fact, Joe Biden himself can't even overturn this pardon because that's the way it's written, folks.
That's the way it works.
But Jill wasn't worried about Hunter.
She didn't care about Hunter.
She cared about Hunter going public.
She cared about Hunter putting this out.
And I got a report last night, actually a couple of reports, asked around.
And they said that, yeah, Hunter Biden was sitting there up in Nantucket with his dad at Thanksgiving dinner and telling dear old dad, according to White House officials and other Hill sources, that he was telling dear old dad at the dinner table in front of everyone about a book that he was thinking about writing, about all the things that he's been through.
Because remember, Hunter Biden was about to be sentenced in just about two weeks time, actually 10 days time.
December 12th.
And so he didn't want to get sentenced.
He didn't want to go to jail.
He wouldn't do any of that.
And so he said, Dad, you know, I'm going to have a lot of time when I'm in jail for these sentences, for this gun charge, these tax evasion crimes.
Maybe, I don't know, maybe I'll write a book.
In fact, Dad, I've already started working on the book.
I'm going to put it out.
What do you think about that, Dad?
I still got my tongue.
I can still speak freely.
Unless something were to happen, Dad, I don't know.
Do you get it?
Jill and Joe were trying to save their own tails.
That's what's going on here.
And it coincides with everything.
That's why it goes all the way back to 2014. The CIA coup of Ukraine?
Covered.
The Biolabs, Metabiota, covered.
CEFC, the Chinese Energy Concern, covered.
The CCP deals, covered.
All of it covered.
Kazakhstan, Russia, the Moscow mayor's wife.
It's all covered, folks.
Every single bit of it.
The trips to Dubai, all of a sudden.
By the way, this Burisma story, I remember, I've been reporting on this for going on five years now.
Five years!
And this was never supposed to be public, right?
Because remember, going back to what I was saying before, Hillary was supposed to be president, and this was supposed to be the Biden nest egg.
The plan was, remember, Obama always knew that Biden would screw up.
Obama told everyone this.
Obama said, remember, Joe Biden, don't underestimate Biden's ability to fudge things up.
Let's say fudge things up.
Barack Obama used a different word.
So...
This was supposed to be the nest egg.
Obama passes Biden over for Hillary, endorses Hillary in 2016, has her run, she wins, Biden doesn't get it, but then all of a sudden, this accident of history, Biden says, I'm going to run in 2020, and then because they had COVID and everything else going on board, suddenly...
Biden gets installed and he still screws it up.
He still screws it up because he's that much of a screw up.
And then Obama comes in.
This is a real story of everything, folks.
This is a real story of what went out in your government.
Then Obama comes in and we did this all in bullet.
We outlined all of this in Bulletproof for you to see.
Obama comes in with Michelle and then he gets Oprah involved and George Clooney and all the rest of it and pulls Biden from the presidency.
Pulls him out and says, you're not going to run.
And so he puts Kamala Harris in there and then he installs his own loyalists and his own people in the campaign around Kamala Harris.
They go down in flames.
The real way to understand everything that you've seen over the last decade or so is the fact that Barack Obama hates Joe Biden.
He always has.
The bromance has been a complete farce and that Joe Biden has no love lost for the guy.
He's sitting there thinking, wait a minute, keep in mind, folks, keep in mind for eight years.
OK, remember this fact for eight years.
And Joe Biden admitted this once.
He said, when he moved into the White House, he said, you know, I've never been in the residence before.
Well, hold on a second.
What do you mean you've never been in the White House residence?
That's the residential section where the family lives, the first family.
So that means for eight years, he served as the vice president.
And Barack Obama never even invited him over for a cup of coffee together.
Never even sat down for a meal.
Never said, hey, Joe, come on.
Let's go get dinner.
Let's do any of this.
No.
There's no relationship there.
There's nothing.
And there hasn't been for a long time.
So this was Joe going to Hunter and Jill and saying, you know what?
We got a couple of months left.
We're just pulling out all the stops.
We don't care anymore.
We're not playing the game.
We're done with it.
What does it mean for us as conservatives, by the way, and us as people who have been trying to tell the truth about what's going on here?
It means everything that we've said about the corruption, everything that we've told you about the Biden crime family, about the way they've used these foreign wars to loot the taxpayer wallet, to suckle at the teat of the American worker and steal your bread and suckers,
steal your bread and milk, while it made themselves Well, they enrich themselves from things like Ukraine, from things like China, by selling out the middle American to put money in their own pocket and cocaine up Hunter's nose.
That's what this pardon was about.
This is the two-tier system of justice, and it's not the deep state because it's in your face, and it's right in front of you.
So you have the ability right now to do something about this, and the Senate certainly has the ability.
You want to do something to reform this system?
Confirm Kash Patel.
Be right back.

How did you get it from Tennessee all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court?
Well, in late 2022, there was some investigative reporting that took place that revealed that a prominent medical facility right here in Middle Tennessee actually had a dedicated clinic, a clinic dedicated to performing transgender reassignment surgeries on minors.
And when that news broke, obviously there was a tremendous outcry all across Tennessee and amongst members of the General Assembly, including myself.
So I partnered with the House Majority Leader.
I serve as the Senate Majority Leader and we crafted legislation working with our Attorney General to ban this practice in Tennessee.
The bill passed overwhelmingly.
It was promptly signed into law by Governor Bill Lee.
Not surprisingly, we were sued by the Biden Department of Justice and the ACLU. That case has made its way through the legal process.
Good news is, Jack, that the bill has been affirmed by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
And it is in effect now in Tennessee.
Kids are being protected.
But the Supreme Court has taken the case up.
And as you said, oral arguments are this coming Wednesday.
Very, very hopeful and cautiously optimistic that the Supreme Court will affirm that Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals decision and affirm the right of states to protect kids from these procedures.
Now, it seems to me that this should be a fairly straightforward states' rights argument.
This is something that's pretty much always been done at the state level.
Medical decisions like this have always been run by state governments.
What are some of the opponents saying?
Well, you're exactly right.
Tennessee has for many years, and many states have.
There's clear case precedent for the right of states to regulate medical procedures and to have prohibited medical procedures, which is what we did in Tennessee.
The plaintiffs are trying to make an argument that I certainly don't agree with, that this is somehow a violation of the Equal Protection Clause in the United States Constitution.
Again, the Sixth Circuit did not see it that way in a two-to-one decision.
A great opinion written by Judge Sutton from the Sixth Circuit that affirmed the right of state.
As you said, very much a Tenth Amendment issue.
I'm very excited.
President Trump has been very outspoken in support of this and in support of banning these types of procedures.
And I'm very excited to have him in the White House and have a whole new leadership at the Department of Justice.
And hopefully we won't have these types of problems in the future.
But I agree with you.
It's a federalism issue.
It's a state's rights 10th Amendment issue, clearly.
Well, it clearly comes down to it.
This is just not something that I think the founders ever envisioned that the federal government would be getting into.
Well, I couldn't agree with you more.
Excuse me.
Oh, I got the same thing.
It's good old winter allergies here.
There's a long history and a lot of case precedent affirming the right of states to regulate these types of procedures and ultimately I believe Tennessee and all states have a compelling interest to protect kids.
We do so in a myriad of ways.
In Tennessee, you can't get a tattoo unless you're 18, even with parental consent.
So why in the world would we let you remove body parts or modify body parts because you're experiencing gender dysphoria?
No, it's clearly a situation where the overriding interest is coming not because of a real due process claim or a Sixth Amendment claim.
What it really is, it's coming out, or excuse me, Fifth Amendment.
But the real issue to me seems like this is about a special interest group that is looking for special preferential treatment to get around the Bill of Rights.
You're exactly right.
And again, if you believe in the Tenth Amendment, state sovereignty, you believe in federalism, which I do, and keep in mind I am a state legislator, and one of the biggest issues we have in trying to do what we think is right for the state of Tennessee It is trying to deal with the federal government and the federal government trying to come in and impede our efforts to do what we think is right.
In this instance, we think it's right to protect kids from these procedures, not just the surgeries, by the way, Jack, also these very harmful drugs that can result in chemical castration of little boys and delay puberty, which has irreversible effects.
Many medical professionals will tell you that.
So it's, again, from a legal standpoint, I'm not a constitutional scholar, But I am certainly an advocate for states' rights, and I hope that the Supreme Court sees it the same way.
Well, it generally seems that way.
And again, you know, these are medical procedures.
Also, by the way, you know, for as much as as much controversy has been following the Dobbs decision that really for people who actually read the Dobbs decision, which came down from the Supreme Court, that is what they were talking about.
They were talking about the rights of states.
It wasn't actually a decision that was predicated on should we have abortion?
Should we not have abortion?
Should abortion be banned?
Should abortion be allowed?
That wasn't the crux of the legal argument.
The crux of the legal argument was, should the federal government be making these decisions?
Blanket for all 50 states.
You're exactly right.
And, you know, if you look over the last really hundred years and the expansive nature of the federal government, how big and how much they encroach on the right of states, I certainly believe that framers intended for the federal government to be very small, very limited, and for states to be laboratories of democracy, to have debates and decide within their jurisdictions, within the boundaries of the state, representing the people of a given state, what is best for their states and their communities.
And that's what we did here in Tennessee.
This legislation was supported overwhelmingly, not only by members of the General Assembly, but it's It's supported overwhelmingly by Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives.
It has overwhelming support.
So we are, in effect, as members of the Tennessee General Assembly, reflecting the will of our constituents, and that's the way it should be.
And so, this clearly strikes me as an example of something where the federal government would potentially be overreaching.
And again, I think there's gonna be a huge push, and I expect you'll see from the plaintiffs here, a huge push, particularly, I'm just gonna say it, particularly towards the females on the court, to say, oh, this is about protecting children, this is about making sure that kids get the best care that they need, et cetera, et cetera.
When that isn't actually the case at all.
Well, you're right.
The advocates for these procedures, they use the term gender affirming care.
And I don't accept that that that euphemism, if you will.
I don't accept that terminology because I don't believe it's care.
These drugs, these surgeries can have a very, very lasting impact on the lives of these children, and it's why states have a compelling interest to protect them.
And if you really want to talk about care of children, I acknowledge the fact that puberty, development of the body, can be difficult on kids, some more than others.
I recognize that, and we had a lot of discussion about that when we were contemplating this legislation.
Let's love these kids.
Let's embrace them.
Let's get them the mental health treatment that they need.
But let's don't allow them to make a decision or allow a medical provider to make a decision for a child that is irreversible.
You can't undo this.
When you cut off a body part...
It's not a haircut.
It's not a haircut.
It's not dyeing your hair.
It is something completely else.
Senator, where can people go to follow you?
So you can follow me on X at S-E-N Johnson, Sen Johnson, and johnsonfortennessee.com.
Jack, really appreciate you having me on.
It's a big week for not just kids, Tennessee, but the entire country.
God bless.
We'll be praying for you up there.
Right back, Human Events Daily continues.
Darren Bede, at this. - Jack is a great guy.
He's written a fantastic book.
Everybody's talking about it.
Go get it.
And he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event.
And we're going to turn it around and make our country great to get to town.
Amen.
All right, Jack Posobiec back live here, Human Events Daily, 1776, humanevents.com, 1776 at humanevents.com.
Breaking news, folks.
We've got a huge post out from President Trump here.
He says, everyone is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire world.
Just pulling it up.
Here, so we can read this.
Rule of the entire world in the Middle East, but it's all talk and no action.
Please let this truth serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20th, 2025, the date that I proudly assume the Office as President of the United States, there will be, in all caps, ALL HELL TO PAY. In the Middle East and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against humanity.
Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied history of the United States of America.
Release the hostages now in all capital letters.
Folks, there's President Trump.
He's throwing down.
You never heard language like this from Biden.
You never heard language like this from Jake Sullivan.
You never heard language like this from any of them.
It's being very serious here.
If an American hostage is taken, again, period, full stop, that is one of our people.
And if one of our people is taken, then it is the goal of the entire United States government to get that person back.
Why?
Because if you don't, then that means no one views you as strong.
You are viewed as weak.
No one will pay you any respect at all if you just allow your people to be taken off the street like that and thrown in cages.
It's ridiculous.
And the fact that the Biden administration or Dr. Jill or Tony Blinken or any of these people will never...
By the way, go and look.
Go and look at what animates those guys.
There is one group of people.
A thought occurs to me here that I want to actually explain to you guys.
President Trump gets very animated when he talks about Injustices that are done to the American people.
But what does the Biden administration actually get very excited about?
Let's think about, oh, I don't know, Merrick Garland or Joe Biden in his own speeches.
They get excited about persecuting you.
They get excited about persecuting the American people.
Think about when they talk about January 6th.
Think about the way they talked about anyone who attended there, even if you were just a protester, even if you were just walking around peacefully.
Think about how they talk about people on Jan 6th.
Now think about how they talked about the unvaccinated.
Remember it was going to be the dark winter for the unvaccinated?
Remember all this?
Or the threats to democracy?
Remember when they talked about you as a threat to democracy?
That's what actually excites them.
I was going to talk about Syria here for a second.
But that's what actually excites them.
So a lot of people asking me, though, they said, what's going on in Syria?
We've seen the news over the weekend.
We're working on getting Darren Beattie on if we can.
But in a nutshell, I walked through this on War Room this morning with Steve Bannon.
But if you didn't catch that here, let me explain.
In 2011, The CIA, in conjunction with the Biden administration, John Brennan, and John McCain, like I was saying earlier, with Ukraine, decided to throw together a regime change operation in Syria, vis-a-vis these pipelines that they wanted built through Qatar, across Syria, and then into Turkey to feed this liquid natural gas into Europe.
It's all about feeding the energy needs of Europe, and who gets to do that?
Well, Assad in around 2009 decided to not sign off on this.
A couple years later, oh look, the CIA decides to start funding and arming and training, quote unquote, moderate jihadist groups to overthrow Assad.
And this creates something we call the Syrian Civil War.
Completely explodes in the region.
Splinter groups of that break off and use that same equipment to found ISIS. And the entire rat's nest is still in play today with people on various sides.
We only got a couple of minutes left in the show.
I believe we do have Darren on.
Darren, are you there?
I'm here.
Darren, how should we think about the current crisis ongoing in Syria right now?
Well, it's a very interesting situation.
On one hand, it seems like a rehash of 2011, really 2015. We saw the whole thing with Hillary and Anne-Marie Slaughter, and that was a huge part of the foreign policy conversation, where in effect,
as we learned from WikiLeaks of all places, Al-Qaeda was quote-unquote on our side, and various permutations and reiterations of Al-Qaeda under the guise of Sunni rebels, or they've gone under numerous euphemisms, but in fact, they're the same thing.
And let's not let it slide that that email of al-Qaeda is on our side in Syria was written by none other than Jake Sullivan, who is the current national security advisor.
Correct.
Correct.
And so in many ways, it's just a rehash is how many times we have to go over this again.
And here it is.
And I guess the conspiratorial minded of us might even think that this recent surge, if you would, by these, quote unquote, Al Qaeda rebels was catalyzed as a kind of Pressure point toward Russia in this sort of lame duck transitionary period in the same way that, you know, Ukraine got long range missiles and so forth.
And so in that sense, it is almost a copy paste of 2011-2015.
What's different, however, is that the Arab world, the Gulf Arab world, and even Saudi Arabia are far less converged in terms of their opposition to Assad.
And in fact, Saudi Arabia, which used to be a major player in this Syrian civil war conflict, has We are just about out of time here today.
Let me ask you something, man.
I'm going to be down there in West Palm.
Can we do a deep dive on this in person?
I think we need to.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
In studio, in person.
In studio, in person.
The deep dive.
We're going to walk around the dirty wars of the deep state.
A full special episode.
Jack Posobiec and Darren Beattie.
And that might even include, I don't know, some dirty pipe bombs.
A lot of dirty laundry coming out tomorrow.
It's Dirty Laundry Day tomorrow on Human Events Daily.
