This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
A commentator, international social media sensation, and former navy intelligence veteran This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.
Tonight is the night in Atlanta, Georgia.
Biden and Trump center stage at the first presidential debate of this election.
It's a debate of firsts.
The first time either of them has been on a debate stage since 2020.
First time a debate has been so early in the campaign.
The first between a current and former president.
And Trump is the first convicted felon to ever participate in a presidential debate.
The court has just decided to hold the issue and not decide the case that was before it.
This pitted Idaho state law, one of the strictest abortion bans in the country, against federal law.
This opinion was inadvertently posted on the court's website yesterday.
At a very cursory glance, this appears to be the same decision that was released accidentally yesterday.
We have a normal president.
I don't think that Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are planning to be hostile.
I think they want a fair debate.
Well, they'll be tough to both sides.
I think they will be tough to both sides, and I think the hostility...
From what we're seeing already from the Trump campaign is coming from Trump.
Home prices set another record high in April, up 6.3% nationally from April of last year.
This just feeds into what is now one of the least affordable housing markets in U.S.
history.
The DNC bought out five of these billboards here in the Atlanta area where they're mocking Trump for his felony conviction in New York.
I think he has to go after Trump on everything in a restrained but very sharp way.
He's running against a convicted criminal and adjudicated rapist.
He should not be afraid of saying that.
Hosted by CNN in Atlanta without a live audience would be the equivalent of Joe Biden agreeing to do a Fox News hosted debate in Alabama with 3,000 live audience members.
So I give Donald Trump a lot of credit for that.
If you're going to lead the country, you've got to be able to show up.
Let's try the opposite.
My microphone is now on.
Victor's microphone is off.
And he's going to interrupt me.
My volume remains constant, while Victor's interruption can be difficult to understand.
Asena's production team has shared this demonstration with the campaigns earlier today, and we're sharing it with you, our viewers, so everyone fully understands All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily Live right here in Washington, D.C.
What can I say, folks?
Here we are.
It's June 27th, 2024, Anno Domini debate night, or should I say the second debate night.
So if any of you guys were watching last night, We did hold the debate right here in this very studio, Real America's Voice Studios, but hosted by Zero Hedge, my debate with Ryan Grodusky against Robbie Suave, and the libertarian candidate for president, Chase Oliver.
I gotta say, I thought for the most part, I wish I could say it wasn't chaotic, but we saw what happened.
Sparks flew.
You know, we got a lot, we got a lot of differing opinions for what the country should be.
And I think you understand this.
And something that really came out of it was this.
Those guys have this view that is sort of the George W. Bush Chamber of Commerce view that a country is just a collection of cogs.
There are workers, there are middle class, and there are the upper class.
But those people are interchangeable, and that all people from all around the world are interchangeable.
So it doesn't matter if you come from Europe, doesn't matter if you're coming from Asia, or the Middle East, or the Third World, or Africa, or Latin America, or South America, any of this, it doesn't matter.
That all people are the same, and what we should be doing is handing out visas to anyone who wants to come in for as little as money possible and allow them to work here legally.
So these are talking about pathways to citizenship.
They're talking about amnesty.
When I brought up taking action against the cartels, that was totally opposed.
When I said that immigration is already too high, that we've been flooded by illegals, we've been flooded by so many foreign-born population, and that this population flips states.
They said, well name one state that's been flipped by migration.
I said California.
California was a red state.
And so that red state, which had elected Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, is now a blue socialist state.
And so the question is, what happens when that happens to Texas?
What happens if that happens to Florida?
What happens to the possibility of any conservative libertarians, any of it?
There's no possibility in the Electoral College.
No, you lose Texas, it's done.
Game over.
It's a wrap.
You will get socialist tyranny.
You will get the unhumans agenda.
And if you wonder why they're bringing people in, that's exactly the reason.
That's why we have it up.
And I was able to go over a huge thank you and so gracious to Stephen K. Bannon who is doing now a special book with us, a special edition, the Political Prisoner Edition of Unhumans.
Go to unhumansbook.com.
You can get a signed copy by myself and Steve Bannon, limited edition, unhumansbook.com, unhumansbook.com to get this.
There's only a few copies of these.
Once they're gone, they are gone.
And we'll be right back.
Ladies and gentlemen, one of the best ways that you can support us here at Human Events and the work that we do is subscribing to us on our Rumble channel.

Where's Jack?
Where is he?
Jack, I want to see you!
Great job, Jack.
Thank you.
What a job you do.
You know, we have an incredible thing.
We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys should be getting... Amazing grace, how sweet the sound.
That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found Was blind
but now I see you Lord Heavenly Father I pray to you today to guide us tomorrow Give us strength as we face death.
Help us not to be afraid.
Because we know that we are going to be coming to your kingdom.
The incredible new movie, Firing Squad, now coming out.
The great Kevin Sorbo put this together and he joins us.
Kevin, tell me a little bit about the story of this, the story of hope and redemption, people finding Christ in prison.
How did this movie come about?
Well, you picked the one trailer.
I'm only in there for a second, but other trailers, you see more of me, I promise you.
But anyway, it's a true story.
And it's about, I play a guy that when he was in Indonesia in his 20s, he was surfing there and he got in a fight with a guy and he killed him.
He ended up getting the death penalty in an Indonesian prison.
And during the time he was in prison, he found God and he became a pastor within a church and saved many souls, not only inmates, but also fellow guards as well.
And ultimately he was, he was, um, he was executed in 2015.
So it's really not that long ago.
And, um, uh, Cuba Gooding Jr is in the movie with me as well.
And, um, it's, uh, it's really, it's a story of, of, you know, finding redemption and hope in a place that's as dark and dreary as a foreign prison, uh, while you're sitting on death row and shows you that there is hope anywhere in the world.
And I think, It's perfect timing for a movie like this to come out because as you can see, the world's absolutely crazy and insane.
And the archangels of death and anger and hatred are doing a very good job of not only creating chaos in America, but around the world as well.
And the movie like this is, the director of it, Tim Chey, is hoping that this will save a million lives.
So we'll see what happens.
We open August 2nd.
Go to firingsquadfilm.com for all the information.
And this, this is in theaters.
This is going to be wide release.
This isn't online streaming.
This is going to be in, you can actually go into the movie theater and see it.
Tell, tell me about that for a second.
I'm just, I actually just looked up where it's going to be playing.
Oh, it's right down the street from me.
This is perfect.
Why, why go in?
Why is going to theaters important?
Why not just do this streaming, charge people a couple of bucks?
What's important about going to the theater?
I think there's still something great about theaters, and yeah, it is.
COVID really hurt them a lot, obviously, but things are coming back within that.
But, you know, theatrical releases still carry a good cachet for moving into streaming.
And obviously, streaming is where everything's going to end up anyway.
And you've seen highly successful shows, whether it's through cable or streaming, whatever it could be on.
Even on DVDs.
DVDs are dying out, but people are still buying them.
I think when you're in a theater and you've got a good group of people are with you, I think there's a bigger effect on the emotions that go through the movies, whether it's laughter, whether it's crying, whether it's, uh, it just, you know, emotion, like just finding that there is a place out there that there has hope and redemption in it.
So, um, that's why I think this movie is going to go on theaters first.
I got the Reagan movie coming out as well, August 30th with Dennis Quaid.
Dennis Quaid plays, uh, the Reagan.
I play his pastor in it.
That's got a big release.
So maybe we can talk about that in a month or so.
But this movie opens August 2nd and I love the story.
I love true stories.
I've always been attracted to them.
The movies that I've done in the past and movies I'm getting ready to do later this year and next year.
I think theaters still carry a positive, emotional rollercoaster for people.
You know, it's a shared experience.
It's like going to church.
It is a shared experience, obviously a spiritual experience.
And there's a difference to doing that with a group of people that are gathered together for a single purpose.
And so I think that going to theater, no, obviously not at the same level, but there's a power in people coming together.
And by the way, Putting down the phone, because you know what it's like when you're at home.
I'm guilty of it.
I'm sure we all are.
When you're on the phone, you're at home, you're on the phone, you're scrolling, you're looking at something, you're watching human events daily, of course, but you're not totally focused and totally locked in.
And when you get a group of people doing that, you're going to have a more emotionally connected, shared experience.
That's why when you leave a theater, right, you can actually talk to people as you're walking out.
Oh my gosh, this is my best, my favorite part.
Or when that guy said that, that totally destroyed me.
That only happens in theaters, and you take a complete stranger and you actually form a connection with them through theater.
And so Kevin, we have a couple of minutes with you, but you mentioned you've got the Reagan movie.
By the way, my brother has been talking about this Reagan movie.
He's so excited for this.
He's been tweeting about it like crazy.
He really wants to see it.
And you also, I believe, have the latest Brave book coming out.
Is that right?
I do.
It's already out right now.
It's the bare essentials of fatherhood.
And here we are on Father's Day.
It's the month of June.
We got to compete with Pride Month.
I'm still trying to understand why mothers get one day, fathers get one day.
And what's even worse is our vets only get one day, but we give pride a month.
And I know you've had to deal with it a few times on your podcast.
Me?
No, no, no, no.
It's crazy.
I mean, it's crazy what's going on that we give pride a month and our vets get one day.
That's something I battle on.
This book, The Bare Sense of Fatherhood, just talks about the importance of fathers in a family and how there's such an integral part of having kids grow up.
And, you know, we live in a world right now where the people trying to break that apart A BLM in their manifesto said that's the first thing they want to get rid of.
They want to get rid of God.
They want to get rid of family.
They want to get rid of church.
They want to, you know, they admit they're Marxist.
This is a book for kids 4 to 11 years old.
Braidbooks.
Go to braidbooks.com.
They do amazing, amazing stuff.
I know you're well aware of it because you do it with your own kids, which is fantastic.
Well, that's right.
So we did The Island of Free Ice Cream, and it was all about the danger.
It's an anti-communist children's book.
And so it's the understanding that when the wolves come and promise you free ice cream, guess what?
When you take them up on their offer, that's not actually what you're going to get.
And so I remember Salon.com and a bunch of these places were like, how dare Jack Posobiec write an anti-communist children's book?
I said, bring it on.
Bring it on, because that's exactly what we did.
And by the way, my kid, my son, my older son, he's six now, he loves Brave Books.
And he's been asking me, he's like, Dad, when's the next one coming?
He checks the mailbox every single day.
I'm telling you, every single day for these things.
And so we've just got a couple of minutes left.
Let me switch gears real quick.
It's debate night.
Are you going to be watching?
What are you predicting?
I'm definitely watching it.
I don't know if you're aware of it.
My wife's on Patriot.TV, General Mike Flynn.
She's on the four to five slot there.
And I'll be popping on there later this evening to do a little bit around 10 o'clock at night tonight to talk about it.
My biggest thing is I would love it if they did a they do a blood test and a urine test.
I want to see how many drugs are jacking up old Joe on.
To make him stand more than an hour and try to be coherent.
You know, it's sad the rules they threw out there, but at least it's going to be out there.
And I don't mind the fact they're going to mute the other person's mic.
I'm fine with that, because I think that's what got Trump in trouble last time in the second debate.
He kept talking over and over and over again.
And, you know, let Joe talk.
Let him.
There's no way he's going to be able to get through the night being coherent in any way whatsoever.
So let the guy talk.
But I mean, this is a really important election.
People need to get there and vote.
There will always be voter fraud.
I don't care what people say.
They can attack me all they want.
It's been around for decades.
It's just more prevalent now and more obvious now.
And maybe one side is better than the other side.
But we need to get back to voting one day.
One day only.
Show a bloody ID.
There's nothing racist about showing an ID.
That's absolutely ludicrous.
But the things that the left always throws out is always to benefit themselves and hurt the public in general.
And I thank God many people are starting to wake up.
They're starting.
The tipping point is here and people are saying enough is enough.
We've been hearing from the White House again and again that things are good right now, economy's good, housing's good, people should be happy.
And yet when I talk to people, that's not what I hear at all.
I mean, do you think people are actually going to buy this when he comes out on the debate and says these things?
I think many people are blind enough to believe it anyway.
Fear is an amazing weapon and they used it great during COVID.
I still see people, you know, maybe one out of every hundred still wearing masks in the airport when even Fauci came out and pretty much admitted all that stuff was made up.
I think that It's strange that people will not open their eyes and say things are better.
Gas was $1.80 a gallon or less just four years ago.
And now it's still $3.60 to $6 a gallon, no matter what state you're in at the time.
You can see the inflation rate going through the roof.
You talk about creating jobs.
I laugh at Joe Biden saying we've created those jobs.
No, you didn't.
You took all the jobs away during Trump's last term because of COVID.
And finally, people are starting to come back to work after all this time.
So, they haven't really created anything.
The stock market's been going great.
I can't complain about that.
It's been going great for the last 10-12 years, actually.
But, you know, people need to wake up because most people aren't involved in the stock market anyway.
But hopefully people wake up and realize that the country needs to change.
They got to be smart enough to realize, if you're over 30, that our public education system and universities have brainwashed our kids pretty much over the last 30 years.
And they actually believe socialism and communism is a good thing.
Instead of giving Ukraine billions of dollars, I'm more than happy to use our tax dollars and fly these people to North Korea, Venezuela, Russia, Middle East.
Let them go live in those countries.
Let them have the utopia they want to turn America into, because America is a wonderful place for us people that believe in capitalism and freedom.
Look, it's funny.
I was debating the Libertarians on open borders last night and they were saying that, oh, well, you know, the more people we bring in, the more the merrier.
And I'm like, you know, it's the same thing.
You've got these places all around the world and they're totally socialist.
And the people that come in, they then vote for those policies.
They make us more socialist.
By and large, we see this.
And so we've got to be very careful.
We've no idea who's coming to this country.
We need less socialism, not more of it.
Kevin Sorbo, where can people follow you?
Uh, go to K-Sorbs.
K-Sorbs on Twitter.
Or X, whatever you want to call it.
K-Sorbs.
He's got some spicy ones up there, folks.
I know I have some spicy tweets, but Kevin Sorbo is next level.
God bless, man.
Everyone needs to go see the new movie, The Firing Line, August 2nd is when it comes out, as well as Reagan.
Reagan's coming soon.
He's got a whole movie montage.
Kevin Sorbo, coming at you.
You talk about influencers.
These are influencers.
And they're friends of mine, Jack Pasovic.
Where's Jack?
Jack?
He's done a great job.
Alright, Jack Pasovic back live here at Human Events Daily.
Folks, the world is in flames and Bidenomics is a complete and total disaster.

Julie Kelly now joins us now.
Julie, we've been looking at these Supreme Court decisions.
I was actually down at the Supreme Court this morning.
I was hanging out with Mike Davis a little bit.
He was doing some hits on the war room.
I was checking it out.
Some of the protests were there.
They were very low energy.
These guys, by the way, Julie, I got to tell you, you'll appreciate this.
So this guy comes up to me and he says, he's one of these liberals with the signs and he's one of the paid guys.
I see him all the time.
And he goes, he goes, they need to start the trial on Trump for the coup.
Start the trial on Trump for the coup.
And I said, well, what's which trial do you mean?
And he just kind of gestures angrily at the US Capitol.
He goes, what he did there on January 6th?
Okay, so what is he being charged for?
What are the crimes?
And the guy goes, the January 6th crimes, Jack Smith, accountability, accountability, the coup.
I said, so was he charged with insurrection?
And then the mumbling just goes, Julie Kelly, these guys are a joke.
These guys are a complete joke and they don't even know the things they're facing.
What are your thoughts?
I mean, this is typical, right?
They're brainwashed by what they watch, CNN or, you know, MSNBC or The View.
So you can't have a rational discussion with them about any issue, whether it's January 6th or crime or immigration.
You know, they're just robots.
They're sheep.
They repeat what they're told by their higher masters like Joe Scarborough.
So, you know, I found today to be extremely disappointing.
The Supreme Court is clearly playing politics.
They do not want to release the presidential immunity order, which is complete.
They don't want to release the Fisher opinion, also complete, related to 1512c2.
And why this is really inexcusable politicking by this court is because by not publishing either one, especially the Fisher case,
Denies Donald Trump the ability and opportunity to tell a national audience tonight, if the Fisher decision comes back the way most people expect, that this Supreme Court is going to reverse how the DOJ weaponized a post-Enron document-shredding statute to charge more than 350 Americans with a felony count, throw them in prison for years, turn them into lifelong felons, destroy their lives,
And this will be the biggest proof of how the DOJ has been politicized and how then, if this Fisher decision comes down how we want, how we expect it to be, wrongfully prosecuted hundreds of Americans to punish them for protesting Joe Biden's election.
If Fisher comes down tomorrow the way, again, we think, and Then Donald Trump, obviously, we all will be talking about it.
But this denies him the opportunity to tell not just a national audience, but to confront Joe Biden for what his DOJ has been doing to more than now 1,500 Americans and their families for three and a half years.
That, to me, is inexcusable.
Now, maybe Fisher comes back, the decision comes back, and they say, oh no, this is totally appropriate.
You can use a document shredding corporate fraud crime to turn normal political protest into a felony punishable by 20 years in prison.
I highly doubt it, but this is very disappointing to see the court do this.
Well, and to your point, it's also...
A detriment to the American people because there will be people who watch this debate and then don't watch anything about politics until maybe the next debate.
But by that point, we've already got early voting started.
By that point, people have already started making their decisions.
So they're denying people.
We know these releases are coming.
The decisions have already been made.
It's just a schedule on when it's released.
And so the schedule that they decided, as you rightly point out, Julie Kelly, that They are not releasing it until after the debate.
So President Trump could be there and explain that the Supreme Court has overturned, which potentially it looks like they will overturn some of these January 6th cases, which would obviously throw out some of the charges that Jack Smith has laid on President Trump that I was just talking about.
particularly this 1512 C2 charge regarding obstruction, that they would throw it out.
And then President Trump would be able to talk about that at the debate to the American people.
He would then be able to talk about the presidential immunity case.
We would be able to hear about the gross misjustices that are injustices that have come from the Department of Justice under Merrick Garland, under Lisa Monaco.
But instead, the American people won't get to hear about that because they decided to hold the releases until tomorrow.
Julie.
That's exactly right.
And, you know, I don't know if we'll just discredit the Supreme Court will be responsible now, not just what the left is doing to try to discredit the Supreme Court, but in our eyes as well.
That they, and of course this would be the Chief Justice, intentionally withholding these before the debate.
Even delaying this now until Monday, because what happened today, usually Chief Justice Roberts will say tomorrow is the last day of the term.
He did not say that today.
There are still eight orders outstanding, the Chevron Doctrine case as well.
So we could get more tomorrow.
They still could be delaying Fisher and Immunity, drop it on Monday, a holiday week.
They get out of town with their families and Then we're left with whatever the consequences are of what those decisions actually say.
But also to your point, yes, the 1512c2 impacts half of Jack Smith's indictment, January 6th indictment against Donald Trump.
So it's not just that he would be able to talk about the 350-plus Americans charged with that, but also this is half of Jack Smith's indictment that basically could be bogus.
So this is again, you know, this is not something we should be waiting till the last few days, especially this critical week in American politics, not just the first debate, all of these decisions coming out.
Of course, the Florida proceedings, the last two, Monday and Tuesday, that I covered there, revelations, more revelations about the FBI's mishandling this dirty case, corrupt, sloppy case, the dangerous, armed, unnecessary, unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago in August of 2022.
But what happened this week?
What did DOJ do yesterday, Jack?
They arrested a proud boy, a proud boy from Florida.
That was all over the headlines.
You see this Proud Boys arrested in Florida.
There's photos of him with Ethan Nordean and Joe Biggs and Zach Reel, who are the top Proud Boys convicted of seditious conspiracy.
So here comes the DOJ right before the debate to give Joe Biden another Proud Boy talking point.
Of course, he had one in 2020, as we all recall, you know, telling Donald Trump to have them stand back, stand by.
You know, they're not stopping playing political games, and it certainly looks like the Supreme Court is doing that as well.
That's exactly right, and there's no question, of course, that Joe Biden is going to bring up the famous stand back and stand by response from President Trump, and he's going to bring up the Crown Boys.
This was clearly timed so that they would have a talking point for Joe Biden.
And remember, for folks who have done the background, and Julie Kelly more than anyone else knows this, and I was reading Paul Sperry's great piece, your colleague over at Real Clear Investigations, earlier today.
That it was the debate in 2016 with the Steele dossier that Hillary Clinton was able to target by saying, oh, well, you're colluding with Russia.
And then again, it was the debate in 2020 that James Clapper and who, by the way, all right, we have Mike Morrell's testimony.
Mike Morrell testified that it was Tony Blinken that was running around with getting the signatures for the 51 Uh, intel officials so that Joe Biden would have something to say where?
Where?
At the debate.
We know how important these debates are and that's why you see the entire machinations of justice, the entire machinations of the intel community.
These are intelligence operations from the national security agencies that are directly targeting the American people, dare I say, unhuman operations targeted at the American people and they always time them for the debates.
Julie Kelly.
Yeah, they absolutely do.
And we're seeing that again now.
And think about this too, with the Supreme Court also denied.
So we know Joe Biden is going to make January 6th an issue.
He already released a video on their official account yesterday.
You know, you can't be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy.
So we know he's going to bring up January 6th.
And he's probably going to talk about, you know, that this proud boy was just arrested and proud boys, you know, Donald Trump's personal militia, et cetera, et cetera.
If the Fisher opinion, again, would have been released today or yesterday, would have come down the way that we're expecting, that they would have reprimanded, reversed DOJ, that would have been a perfect tee up for Donald Trump to say, yes, let's talk about January 6th.
But again, they are going to let Joe Biden try to control the narrative about January 6th and not give Donald Trump And that's the biggest issue of all.
opportunities to talk about the weaponization of the DOJ and the targeting of, uh, of himself and his supporters.
But this really would have been, uh, opened the eyes of a lot of people who are totally unaware that this has been happening.
And that's the biggest issue of all because these debates and we could see this in the numbers they've been, they've been lower rated in the past and it, and certainly the primary debates were extremely low rated, but the presidential debates are always high rated.
You do get normies that tune in.
You get people that aren't watching human events, that aren't reading Julie Kelly every day.
You get people that tune in that, and by the way, you get people from the other side that have to listen.
They then listen to the things that are said, and of course, unfortunately, they will be deprived of being able to hear those things because Joe Biden is going to throw up a wall Okay, we'll be right back, guys.
and all the other hoaxes that they've talked about ever since.
Julie Kelly, where can people follow you?
So people can find me at subscac.

Very excited for our next, we got a tag team!
We got a tag team here coming in, because of course, we've got Glenn Jacobs from Knox County, Tennessee, and then also by way of Tennessee, we got Kenny Cody.
Those two have put together a piece on humanevents.com that I'd love to get them in on, on the heels of my debate with the libertarian presidential candidate Chase Oliver yesterday.
Glenn, welcome back to the show.
Hey, thanks for having me on, Jack.
Appreciate it.
Kenny, so happy to have you back here, man.
Harvey Arnold, as always, Jack.
Appreciate it, man.
Sorry for the attire and the sunburn.
I'm on vacation in Florida, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Now, I'm going to get a little sun as well.
Glenn, maybe not so much, but we'll work on it.
That must be nice, yeah.
Here I am in a coat and tie.
Come on, man.
What are you working?
What are you working?
No, so let's start with Glenn.
Glenn, tell us about the piece and how did it all come together?
It was actually after President Trump spoke at the Libertarian National Convention.
You know, he's the first of the major party presidential candidates to speak at the LP convention, even though that's been a standing invitation for years.
And one of the things that really strikes me about Donald Trump is he, the guy's just got guts.
Okay.
You know, the reason that no one wants to go speak at the LP is because the Libertarians are going to boo amongst us.
I mean, that's just how it is.
And he was willing to go in and actually talk, gave a great speech, and showed why if your philosophy is libertarian leaning, Donald Trump's the guy for you.
I mean, the things that he did when he was president, to me, a couple of the most important things that libertarian philosophy really What this shows us is how detrimental war is, how expensive it is, and also how dangerous the government can be when it turns its focus on the people that it's supposed to serve.
And we've seen both these things, sadly, in America over the past several decades.
Trump is the first president, recent memory, not to start a new war, was actually in the process of winding down the overseas engagements.
And at this point, he's been in the crosshairs of the deep state.
And I actually relish Donald Trump walking into the Oval Office knowing that he's going to take care of some of this and he's going to just rip the deep state out root and branch.
Well, and this is similar to, um, so Dave Smith, by the way, who was also at the, uh, at the conference or at the convention, he, he made a similar point because he said that, um, that there's one move and that, that move is you could, you could try to run against Trump and you could, you could fight against Trump, or what if you made a pragmatic move and made a deal?
And I believe President Trump came out of there saying, I would appoint a libertarian to my cabinet.
So that's pragmatism versus ideology and idealism.
Yeah, you're exactly right.
And he said it perfectly.
He's like, you know, you can either have a place at the table or you can get your 3%, like you always do.
I personally prefer a place at the table.
And that's the offer that he made.
And that's the offer.
So, Kenny Cody, let me pass it to you then.
When you wrote this, tell me some of your underpinnings, and really your background.
Do you come from more of a libertarian background in terms of belief system, or is this something where you find that you can agree with people and you're trying to make that connection?
Well, a bit of both.
I mean, my first writing job came with the Libertarian Republic with fellow human events contributor, Austin Peterson, actually offered me a job as a writer back in 2019 to 2020.
And I've always identified with the libertarian perspectives of foreign policy, anti-government intervention, you know, trying to fight against the deep state, want to abolish things like the ATF, the FBI, the CIA.
I do identify with that, even on the border and immigration and a few other different policies, I don't necessarily agree with them on.
Um, but this, this piece really came to mind because there's a lot of Libertarians back in 2016, 2020 that did relate to Donald Trump.
You know, you saw even kind of more so in 2020, ironically enough, you know, Gary Johnson got like 3% back in 2016.
Joe Jorgensen got like 1% in 2020, which kind of showed more of a shift towards Trump and the Libertarian Party.
And we're trying to make the same kind of appeal because the guy that they nominated Chase Oliver seems to be more of a left-leaning libertarian than a right-leaning libertarian.
It's not like Dave Smith or people from the Maasai Institute or anything else.
It's these left libertarians that are not willing to stand up to progressive cultural change, cultural Marxism, and a number of different cultural issues.
And Donald Trump is willing to fight all those things while still fighting against his own government, fighting against the bureaucratic weaponization that the federal government is going after him on, such as the Mutus Organization, such as the attempt to And literally imprison him for his political beliefs.
He can identify with the Libertarian Party, unlike any other candidate in American history or in any one of the major parties ever before in American history, because he can identify with that ideology, he can identify with that cultural approach.
And if we, as Republicans, can make that appeal to Libertarians to come over and vote for the most anti-establishment, anti-government candidate this century, or maybe even in the history of the United States since the literal founders of this country, I think we need to do that.
We need to make that appeal the same way Donald Trump did at the Libertarian National Convention, like Mayor Jacob said.
Well, and that's kind of the thing, too, because when I hear people say, we want to fight wokeness, we want to fight wokeness, and then you go to talk to left Libertarians, like the current candidate for the Libertarian Party, and this didn't really come up too much last night, but they're totally for all the left-wing cultural changes that we see going on, things that Personally, I would describe as forms of cultural Marxism.
Transing the children, teaching this propaganda and this agenda in the classroom, thinking that it's perfectly okay to do this.
BLM, Antifa, yeah, they're totally fine with that because they say, no, that's okay because that's a private sector thing.
That's not a government thing.
So as long as it's the private sector doing it, then it's perfectly Okay, and that's something I categorically reject.
And anyone, by the way, can go watch the clips from last night where they're talking about, well, we, you know, we just need open borders and, you know, the way to deal, I love this part.
They said the way to deal with illegal immigration was to make it easier for more people to come in.
And then if we just flood the country with as many as possible, I was like, so that's pathway to citizenship.
That's, that's amnesty.
You guys are just for amnesty.
As if that's some big coverall when we don't even know the 20 million plus that we currently have here.
I'll pass it back to Glenn.
So Glenn, you know obviously the Libertarian movement.
There is sort of this left Libertarian faction and it seems like those are the ones that are kind of, at least for this year, the ones that have gotten on the ticket.
Yeah, it seems like that as far as the LP is concerned.
We also have to think about libertarianism as a political movement and a philosophy as opposed to the political party, and those are really two different things.
You look at someone like Rand Paul, Thomas Massey, those folks who are libertarians, and I would argue Mike Lee as well, in the federal government, and obviously the godfather of it all, Ron Paul.
Their philosophy is basically libertarianism, but they...
I don't agree with all of this.
Kenny was talking about earlier, you know, all of the tenants of the Libertarian Party, nor do I. And, you know, what you were talking about as far as some of the things that kind of left Libertarians gravitated to, those are things that are being pushed by the government.
I mean, that's what we have to understand.
Those are things that are being pushed by the government.
They're not organically happening in society, for nor the reason so much of it is coming from academia, and who funds academia?
It's mostly the government.
Um, you know, so I think that there's an argument to be made that, uh, you know, if we were to look at a libertarian world, it would actually be much more socially conservative than what we have now because you wouldn't have people in government pushing all these different things.
It would be what most people are least offended by.
Uh, and in this case, you know, when you're thinking about things like, you know, trans and kids and all that sort of stuff, You know, that just has no place in any sort of society, and I don't think you can see it in a literature society.
And it's totally government-based as well.
We have a quick break.
We're going to be right back.
Glenn Jacobs, Kenny Cody, join us next.
I hear about the boring people at your office.
I'm trying to listen to the new human events with Jack Posobiec.
All right, Jack Posobiec back here, live human events.
Of course, at humanevents.com, you can go read this explosive piece written by Glenn Jacobs and Kenny Cody.
I'm looking at the numbers right now.
The view count is going through the roof.
This impassioned pitch Why Libertarians should vote for Trump and of course coming off the heels of me debating the Libertarian candidate for president yesterday But there's another debate coming up tonight, so let me let me throw it to to Kenny Cody to kick things off What's your prediction for the debate tonight?
Do you think that Trump's gonna come in guns blazing?
Do you think Biden's gonna collapse?
What are you looking for?
I think both.
I think it needs to be a measured attack while attacking everything that Biden's spelled on.
I mean, I think the favorability ratings come out today about the approval rating between Biden and between Trump.
And Trump's got the highest approval that he's ever had, the highest favorables that he's ever had in his career.
Biden has the lowest.
So he needs to hit on that.
He needs to sell his likability.
Because people are drawn to Trump.
I think he is a cult of personality, unlike any other.
And I think he needs to come off likable.
So kind of like he doesn't need to come off To me, but I think he needs to come at the policies, come at the weaponization of the government that Biden has used against him and against pro-life Christians, against conservatives, against January 6thers.
Come out against that dehumanization that Biden's coming.
Make Biden not to be the monster.
I know a lot of people think that Biden is just this incoherent old man.
And partly I think he is, but the evil things he has done while in his administration have got to be highlighted because the American people cannot see him or have any sympathy for him.
And I think Trump needs to acknowledge that.
While not coming off too nasty, acknowledge the evil things he's done.
Let the American people know that this just isn't just a belligerent old man.
This is a bureaucratic, weaponized tyrant.
And that is using every bit of his power to go after his political opponents.
Make him come off as a political prisoner.
And attack every failure that Biden has had while he's been in office.
And I think that's how you sell to the American people that you are the competent one.
You are the guy that has to lead the country forward and reverse the current course the country is on right now.
All right, Glenn Jacobs, you know what it's like to square off in prime time one-on-one, shall we say.
Same question, what are your predictions?
What are you looking for tonight?
So if you look at the debate prep, I think that that is illustrative of how this whole thing will go.
You know, Trump is still out there.
He's campaigning.
He's energetic.
He's Trump.
Biden locked himself away, sequestered himself from the world, met with his team of experts, and just practice and practice and practice.
And I probably think that most of that practice will have left his brain By the time he actually gets behind the microphone.
So Kenny's right, but I also think that what we're going to see is just the natural difference between two candidates.
You know, normally when you think about these debates, you have two, you know, polished candidates that just repeat talking points and blah, blah, blah.
This one's going to be completely different.
You know, because you have Donald Trump, who speaks his mind, and Joe Biden, who doesn't have anything on his mind.
Uh, so I think really it's Biden that's going to have a huge problem tonight because if he functions like he has at other public events, uh, there's no hiding this.
Uh, in fact, I'm a little shocked that, that they would have this debate because, uh, we can see that cognitive decline that sadly has occurred, but nevertheless, that's going to be for all the world to see.
So you're going to see, you know, Old man who looks like an old man who doesn't function very well.
And then of course he'll point out that Trump is not a young man either.
The difference is Trump is very energetic.
Trump is articulate.
Trump still has all his faculties about him and Biden doesn't.
And I think that's the thing at the end of the night that everyone's going to be talking about.
The media will be talking about other stuff, but that's what the people at home will take away from this.
Well, and Glenn, let me just follow up with that on this question.
How is Biden going to stand there and claim that things are good right now?
We've been hearing this out of the White House for weeks and weeks.
I mean, is he just going to repeat these same stale talking points?
Yeah, it's amazing.
You know, so I have a degree in English.
I do not like made up words.
So when I started hearing this gaslighting thing, I was like, what in the world does that mean?
Well, it's lying.
I mean, you know, we see more Mayorkas is doing it.
You know, they're doing it with the inflation was this number when When I came into office, now it's this number.
No, it was this number and now it's a lot higher.
You know, the number of folks that have crossed the border illegally is huge.
Myarcus is going around the country now claiming victory.
They have a secure border.
You know, it's literally, they're telling the American people, don't believe your lying eyes.
For their base, Obviously, that's what they're going to do.
But for all the people that are undecided in the middle, I think they're going to be insulted by a lot of the things that they hear because obviously the empirical evidence shows something completely different.
All right.
So we got to ask final question.
All right.
This to this.
I'm going to go.
Yes.
No.
Glenn Jacobs.
You know, people are asking President Trump's vice presidential pick.
If asked, would you do it?
If asked, of course, you don't turn on the president, but I'm never going to be asked.
But, you know, the wonderful thing is there's some there's some great choices out there and I'm sure he'll make a very good one.
All right.
All right.
Kenny Cody, what do you think?
Now, let me ask you the same question.
Should Glenn Jacobs be the vice president?
Yes.
I'm 100 percent yes.
Chokeslam the competition.
Trevor will make a great choice regardless.
I think the three or four candidates, Doug Burgum, Marco Rubio, J.D.
Vance, I think whatever choice he makes is the right one in terms of those three choices.
He's going to have his reasons.
I think Vance is good.
I think Rubio is good.
I think Burgum is pretty good.
But he's going to make the right choice to appeal to the American electorate.
Rubio's had his record in the Senate.
It's kind of been an out-of-nowhere kind of choice.
Of course, J.D.
Vance has been an America First senator while in the U.S.
Senate.
And then you've got Doug Burgum, who has really come out of absolutely nowhere as well, you know, after his presidential campaign has really been on the forefront for Trump ever since he dropped out, been one of the biggest surrogates and one of the most public speaking surrogates on the campaign trail.
So that's who I think it's coming down to.
I think he picks Burgum.
That's at least my bet.
If I was placing odds on it, that's who I'd probably bet he picks.
But I have no insider information.
I'm just giving my opinion, but I think any of the three choices being fixed is probably going to be the right one.
All right, gentlemen.
Final words.
Glenn Jacobs, where can people go and follow you?
I am on X, formerly Twitter, at Glenn with two N's.
So it's G-L-E-N-N-J-A-C-O-B-S-T-N.
That's also my Instagram as well.
I have two Facebook sites.
One, the official Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs Facebook page, as well as Jacobs for Mayor, which is my campaign page.
All right.
And Kenny Cody.
All right.
All right.
I'm still sitting here.
I'm still sitting here.
Come on.
It's Glenn Jacobs for VP.
I'm the one.
I'm driving the train.
Maybe, I don't know, maybe do co-VPs.
Get a little Brothers of Destruction action return.
Just saying.
Just saying.
Trump walks out at the convention.
Boom.
Both sides.
Just saying.
Just saying.
It would work.
Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
