This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.
Deliver us from evil.
I'm not loyal to anyone.
I don't do that.
One week from today, next Tuesday, 4 p.m.
Eastern on the dot.
That is the deadline Chief Justice John Roberts gave Special Counsel Jack Smith today to respond to Donald Trump's latest bid for immunity.
Let's talk about the honor roll here, Willie, and I'm dead serious.
The Republican senators who stepped up to support America, to support America's allies, to support Israel, and to support Ukraine.
I'm so grateful.
Obviously, there have been a lot of Republicans, Willie, who have done Vladimir Putin's bidding.
Very grateful for those Republicans who stood up I don't know who Mike Johnson is.
I mean, it's clear Donald Trump is the Speaker of the House.
Some members, by the way, nominated him to be Speaker of the House.
And he clearly is.
He's in full control.
Yesterday, the Senate took important action to advance America's core national security interests by overwhelmingly passing the National Security Supplemental Agreement.
This bipartisan legislation will allow the United States to continue to support the people of Ukraine alongside our allies and partners as they fight every single day to defend their freedom and independence.
The Republican-led House will not be jammed or forced into passing a foreign aid bill that was opposed by most Republican senators.
And does nothing to secure our own border.
Suspects in that attack on two city comps in Times Square.
Police now say 19-year-old Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel has been arrested in a separate incident.
Turns out he was arrested for a robbery yesterday.
NBC News is projecting that Tom Suozzi has won.
Whichever way you look at it, a Democrat's replacing me.
They're both registered Democrats.
For the first time in U.S.
history, a sitting cabinet secretary has been impeached by Congress.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security, now faces the prospect of a trial in the Senate.
The resolution is adopted.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily, live from Washington, D.C.
Today is February 14th, Anno Domini, 2024.
Today is Valentine's Day, and yes, of course, today is also Ash Wednesday.
We have a report in from Washington, D.C.
The House Intel Committee, Mike Turner, the head of this, saying that he's calling for the White House to declassify intelligence regarding a Russian military capability.
A Russian military capability.
What does this mean?
Well, it could mean a lot of things.
Putin, in his interview with Tucker the other day, specifically came out and said that Russia was developing hypersonic missiles to defeat U.S.
air defense.
We also know that Russia has been using, and I've talked about this for months, if not years at this point on this program, talking about how Russia and Iran are using these new kamikaze drones that can defeat U.S.
air defense.
However, there's an interesting timing on all of this, isn't there?
You got this guy, Mike Turner, this House Intel chair, a guy who's been nominally pro-Trump, but if I remember correctly, at the Helsinki summit just after it,
Which I attended, by the way, with Tucker, there in Helsinki, Finland, when President Trump met with President Putin, that Mike Turner blasted President Trump after the Helsinki summit with President Putin, looking to at least reach some kind of peace agreement or normalize some kind of relations.
With the Russian Federation.
We also know that Mike Turner is a guy who is completely in bed with so and takes a lot of donations.
I said it's gonna be nice today, right?
Gonna be nice for Lent.
So, takes a lot of donations.
This is just a fact from the defense industry.
He's out of the Ray Patterson area, Air Force Base.
And we also know that Mike Turner has been a guy who's extremely pro-Ukraine spending.
So walk through the timing of this, and I just like to walk through the timing of this very quickly.
Tucker interview drops.
Then there's this massive Senate spending bill.
We know that Johnson says that he doesn't want to bring the spending bill up.
He says it's DOA in the House, and we're not sure if this discharge petition is going to go down or not.
So all of a sudden, out of nowhere, we get a question about a national security threat Which makes it sound like there's about to be some kind of attack that's going to take place.
By the way, if there's an attack that's going to take place, then shouldn't the national security community, I don't know, actually go and prevent the attack from taking place?
Like, I don't know, shut down our border?
Shut down illegals coming in through our airlines?
Like, why are we letting them on airplanes?
Does anyone vet the illegals before we let them on these airplanes traveling around inside our country?
Could that be a potential vector for a national security threat?
Oh, it is.
And yet you tell us to shut up when this happens, even though we are impeaching the Orcas, which is good.
And we're going to talk to Mike Davis later.
I hope there's more that comes of this.
I don't know if that'll go through the Senate, but we'll see.
But here's my question.
If this is just a capability that Russia has, are there indications that Russia is about to use this capability?
Are they about to nuke the White House?
Please let us know, because the timing of this and the person who's giving this out is very suspicious.
Eric Metaxas joins us next.
Human Rights Daily continues.

In the hood, I rolled with Bloods, and them boys had a saying.
You can't be listening to all that slappy whack.
Trim out his all, it's a bam ship.
Nippy, bam, bam.
Like human events with Jack Posobiec.
I'm convinced that the American church has arrived at a significant moment of truth.
We are only 75-80 years removed from three separate regimes that killed 60-70 million people intentionally.
The parallels with where the American church is now to where the German church stood in the face of the Nazi regime are unavoidable and grim.
Churches need to understand really what Marxism is, which is to destroy the church, to destroy the word of God.
So if you capture the seminaries, you capture the pastors, you capture the laity, you capture the soul of the world.
Christianity is not just about saying Jesus loves you and then going to heaven one day, but that there's a war that's raging.
The church is weakening, which is why Marxism is ascendant in America today.
This is the hour of the American church.
Absolutely incredible new film that has just come out, Letter to the American Church.
We've got Eric Metaxas, the filmmaker, on with us today.
Eric, tell me about this film.
We're here, you know, for us on the Catholic side.
It's Ash Wednesday, a perfect day, I think, To remind the American church about what our duties, our responsibilities to the world are, and the fact that, quite frankly, we have not been living up to them.
Tell me about the film and why you decided to be so open about this topic.
Well, thanks, Jack.
Listen, we're in a war.
We're in a spiritual war.
And when you're in a spiritual war, it means there's good versus evil.
That's the definition of a spiritual war.
And evil never advertises itself as evil.
Evil always, as Scripture says, Satan comes as an angel of light.
The devil always wants to work with those who can be fooled into thinking that they're doing a good thing.
That's where you get virtue signaling versus actual virtue.
And so you have a lot of confused people in the American church today who are enabling satanic evil to come into the culture.
Whether you're talking about the transgender lunacy, drag queen story hour for little kids, the sexualization of children, grooming.
That's just one aspect of it, right?
We could talk about open borders.
We could talk about critical race theory.
We could talk about the ideas that are flooding into the culture that most people look around and go, what is happening?
Who decided 10 minutes ago that there's more than two sexes?
A rooster can't lay an egg.
What changed?
What changed is that the forces that have been working all along, mostly kind of underground, have come out into the open.
Part of it is because of Donald Trump.
Not that Trump did it intentionally, but by virtue of who he is, he's forced, he's kind of like flushed the birds out of the bushes here, and suddenly we are seeing evil.
And the question is, will the churches stand?
And in my book letter to the American Church, and obviously in the film letter to the American Church, I make the very direct, horrifying parallel to the churches in Germany under the Nazis.
In the beginning, right in the beginning, Many of them had no clue where this was going.
They didn't understand that we're leading to the death camps and everything that we today would say like, oh, Hitler, evil, obviously.
No, no, no.
Go to 1933.
Many in the churches opened their doors to Nazi doctrine, or if they didn't open their door to Nazi doctrine said, you know what?
We don't want to push back against it.
We don't want to be political.
Romans 13, it says in the scripture, we should go along with whatever the government says, right?
Well, not exactly.
But they went along with it, they opened the door to satanic evil, and the thesis of this book and the new film letter to the American church is that is precisely where the American church is today.
Notice I say the American church.
I'm not talking about specific denominations.
Anybody who calls himself a Christian, you're the church, and you are guilty if you are going along with what is happening in America.
It is your job to stand against it.
God won't force you, but he calls you to join him.
Well, Eric, let me ask you about that specifically, because that line, that passage in Romans 13, was also used by a lot of churches in this country, not just to go along with, because we've seen, and I'll come out and just go say these sort of like false churches going out and calling themselves, So, let's unpack that a little bit.
the LGBT agenda, introducing all sorts of wokeness into their theology and twisting the Bible into, you know, there's a guy on Instagram who I love who does woke Jesus, if anyone wants to see some really good satire of all of this.
But Romans 13 was also used by some of these churches and a lot of megachurches to support the lockdowns.
So let's unpack that a little bit.
How can we support How can we support Romans 13 if we don't support what the government tells us?
Listen, God does not let us off the hook.
You quote Scripture, good for you.
So does Satan.
Satan quotes Scripture in the wilderness to Jesus, okay?
Scripture can be twisted for the devil's ends.
So anybody who thinks like, oh, this is what the Bible says.
God doesn't really care if you know the Scripture.
He cares if you live the Scripture because you can quote it all day long and do the opposite of God's will.
And so you have a lot of people right now Look, this horrible Bible study has come out, pushed by Russell Moore and, you know, the leftists that have infiltrated the evangelical church.
They're pushing this woke agenda in churches.
What could be more satanic?
And by the way, what do you think the Nazis were doing?
The Nazis were trying to take over the German church.
They said, we want a Reichskirche.
We want a national Nazi German church, right?
And so we're living at a time where you have to have discernment.
Is my pastor leading me to do what God is calling me to do in this hour?
Or is he just playing churches?
He's saying, you know what?
I don't want any trouble.
Let's just, you know, keep our heads down.
You know, put up the BLM Square and just, we want to be nice.
We want to do evangelism.
Lots of people listening to this right now, to this conversation, they're going to those kinds of churches.
And I'm here to say the hour is late.
If you knew where we were in America, and if you knew that it was God's will that the church stand against these evils, and you say, well, I'm not ready yet.
I'm not, I don't want that battle.
That's exactly what the German churches said.
Most of them said, we don't want any trouble.
We feel like we've got some kind of, you know, biblical excuse to kind of like, you know, like you just said.
Romans 13, just go along with what the government says.
Get the vaccine.
Don't speak out against open borders.
Don't speak out against election fraud.
Don't speak out against anything.
Just be quiet.
Do your little church thing.
Do you know that in communist China, The Communist Chinese government, who are utterly atheistic and evil, they are very happy with those kinds of churches in China.
Just do your little thing on Sunday morning, and it doesn't affect That's the key.
When you leave that church, you bow to the secular atheist authority of the Marxist state.
There are many churches in America that are just like that, that what they do, it's like a hobby in a basement.
It doesn't affect anything.
They just do this little thing.
And when they come out of the basement, they're in the real world.
Well, you're supposed to take your faith into the public square, into politics, because we're commanded to love our neighbors.
And if you're not doing that, you're guilty.
And I'm just here to say that God always warns us.
He warned us through Bonhoeffer.
I'm using the story of Bonhoeffer to warn the American church.
It's the voice of Bonhoeffer speaking from the dead and saying, okay, the German church got this wrong.
American church, will you get this right?
There's actually, so there's a phrase, a couple of things, so much to respond to there, but there is, you know, there's a phrase at the end of the Catholic Mass where, it's at the very end, where they say, go forth.
It's like, okay, you've been here, you've heard everything we have to say, now go forth.
Go forth and spread the good news.
Go!
You are given orders, and if you don't take those as orders to go and live your faith, And to go and be a, you know, a representative of your faith, be a witness.
It's like, it's, it's, you know, easy one when I'm, when we're eating out with the family, you know, say grace, say grace as a family when you're in public.
It's one of the easiest ways to give witness or pray before your flight, your plane takes off.
We always do this, but there's a line in Romans 13 where, and it's, it really has to do with the word submit and submit to the governing authorities.
And, and there's actually a translation issue here because of the Greek.
The word in Greek, Hupotasso, actually, and I just pulled this up as you were speaking, it can also has a connotation of be subject to, right?
Because, I mean, let's look at the history of the Apostles, right?
They didn't submit to the Romans, you know, when the Romans were saying, oh, you know, you guys, you know, you're not supposed to be spreading that, that new religion, that newfound, newfangled religion you guys came up with, which, you know, we classify as a cult, and we're going to put you all... Yeah, they didn't go along with that.
Did Peter and Paul go along with that?
Did they submit to the authorities?
No, I don't think so.
So it's kind of ridiculous to people to use this as sort of like a clobber passage.
Oh, I'm going to clobber you with this.
I've won the debate because I pulled it up.
No, it means you're subject to it.
Like it means, okay, if you're going to break through the ruling authority, just understand that there are going to be potentially consequences, right?
Because as there were consequences for Peter and Paul.
It's not only that.
It's one thing to live out your faith, right?
To have ashes on your head and go into the workplace and to pray.
That's one thing.
But to live out your faith in every other sphere, not just the religious sphere, but to say that my faith says that slavery is wrong.
So if there's a candidate like Abraham Lincoln, who's working to end slavery, I'm going to advocate for him publicly.
People said at the time, oh, don't be political.
Just do your church thing.
There's people on both sides of the issue of slavery, and we're not going to get into that.
You're going to be guilty if you do not get into that when it comes to transgender, when it comes to a host of issues.
There are churches that are pretending that you can take some safe religious path and not get involved.
And I'm here to say that's not what the Bible says.
That's not what God says.
God says that we are to be his advocates, advocates for him and his principles in the public square.
And when you talk about first century Roman, the Roman world, They did not have a country where they were deputized because patriots had died so they could be free and they could govern themselves.
They didn't have that.
We have that.
We have no excuse in America.
Christians are supposed to live their faith out, and we have no excuse.
Patriots have died so that we can speak freely, so we can advocate for what is right, so we can call President Biden a bum who is selling America out to the Chinese.
You have the freedom in America to do that, and if you're a Christian— Quick break, Eric, coming up.
We'll be right back.
I want to finish that point with you because this is so important, and then also explain to people about what the movie is and how they can watch it.
Stay tuned.
No, they talk about influences.
These are influences.
And they're friends of mine.
Jack.
So, like, where's Jack?
He's done a great job.
All right, Jack Roselbeck back live with Eric Metaxas.
If you're watching on X right now, that's right.
I've been asking the question, does Russia have space lasers?
Is that what's going to come in and take out the United States?
Is that this big national security threat?
Are they giving the space lasers to the illegals, 10,000 of which are crossing our border every day?
I'm not sure.
Sure.
But there's another security threat, a threat to the security of our country, a threat to the security of potentially our national spirit, if we're even allowed to discuss such things.
But it's Ash Wednesday, so I'm going to.
And we've got Eric Metaxas, who's made an entire film about it.
Yes, I wrote the book letter to the American church.
I didn't make the film.
Some Hollywood veterans heard me speaking about this and said, we've got to turn this into a documentary film to get it out there.
And by the way, let me say this, Jack.
This film is available free to any church that wants to screen it.
And if you go to some church, I want to say to you, if your church is not interested in a free screening, no strings attached, there's no joke here, free, I want to know why you're going to that church.
Because there are a lot of people in America right now going to churches that are helping the other side, that are doing nothing, that are sitting on the fence pretending that they don't need to get involved in this Fighting this war against evil.
And that's exactly what the German churches were persuaded.
They were persuaded that we can sit this one out.
So I say to anybody, if you go to any kind of church, go to lettertotheamericanchurch.com.
At lettertotheamericanchurch.com, you can sign up for a free screening.
It's vital we get the message out, and I want to say I had on my program this morning Bishop Strickland.
He's one of the heroes in the Catholic Church.
I don't care what kind of church you go to, if you're Catholic, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox, there are good guys and bad guys in every church.
There are good guys who get this, And there are people who don't want to get it.
They're just going with the flow and working with evil.
And then there are actively bad guys who are promoting silence in the church, promoting silence so that the left-wing Marxist, cultural Marxist agenda can take over, so that the globalist agenda can take over.
They are advocating silence.
And so you have Christianity Today, Russell Moore, David French, Phil Vischer participating in a documentary made by the atheist leftist, Mike I was going to say Mike Stivick.
We're facing amazing things.
They're lifting up the boogeyman of Christian nationalism.
Many in the church are going along with that, and I'm here to say the hour is very late.
If you were living in Germany in the 1930s and you're just doing church, let me tell you something.
There are a lot of Jews going in boxcars to death camps who wish Christians would get off their rear ends and actually practice their faith in reality, not just And by the way, if we don't, the dark side wins.
We see it right now.
That's what God is saying to the American church.
And if you go to any kind of church, I just want to say, lettertotheamericanchurch.com, you can do a free screening, but get people involved.
This is about God speaking in our time.
And by the way, if we don't, the dark side wins.
We see it right now.
We know that we're in a pitched battle in this nation.
And I really, I want to say that it is up to the church.
Those who dare call themselves Christian.
If you dare call yourself a Christian, God calls you to this battle.
By the way, you were born for this battle.
This is not like extra credit.
This is why we're here.
So, lettertotheamericanchurch.com, all the details are there.
And when we look at this, this idea that there are churches that are going along with this, there are churches that have been infiltrated, and part of this, you know, I will throw this out that we have a buddy that I work with who, I won't say who it is name on air because I don't think he said any of this publicly, but He has this phrase where he says, so many of the churches today, and it goes back to what you were saying, they've become this sort of like Omicron Christianity.
So you remember when COVID was going around and Omicron was sort of like the weakest variant of COVID, but it was also the most contagious, right?
It spread the quickest.
And he said the problem with so much of these American churches, so many of these American churches now, is that they become Omicron Christianity, where it's like, and you know, I don't know if you have you've commented at all on this, this this feet washing ad that was on the Super Bowl.
And he was like, there it is.
There's Omicron Christianity.
It's just Jesus loves you.
And that's it.
Right?
Jesus loves you.
He doesn't tell you to do anything.
And I will say that Pastor Mark Driscoll had a great tweet, absolute banger this morning, and he said, Jesus washed the feet of Judas and he still sent him to hell.
So just because forgiveness is offered and atonement is offered, love is offered, grace is offered, you still have to accept it and there are still duties and you still have to follow along.
You don't just get all this stuff for free.
Well, see, that's the whole thing is that God is calling us to something beautiful, to an adventure, to a battle where we get to be with Him fighting against evil.
It's the most glorious thing.
To be called to this adventure that God says, I want you to work with me for my purposes in history.
And guess what?
Pretty soon it's going to be over.
You're not going to get a second chance.
This is it.
Join me.
And there are many people that seem to think, well, I don't want any trouble.
I just, we just want to do church.
We just want to be nice.
I don't want somebody to look at me funny.
You know, this book is titled Letter to the American Church.
I was going to title it Faith Without Works Is Dead.
That's right in the Scripture, in the Epistle of James.
Let's go!
Let's go!
Hold on.
I got the rosary right here, Eric.
I got it right here.
You know, Protestants all say, we're saved by faith.
We're saved by faith.
Yes, you are, but it better be real faith.
And the Scripture says, if there's no works, if you're not living out your faith, God knows you actually don't have faith.
You're just talking a good game.
So the fact that you go to church or you say, I'm a Christian is meaningless.
There have been some of the most wicked people.
I won't name them here.
Joe Biden claims to be a Catholic Christian.
Can you imagine advocating the death of the unborn and every other wicked thing, and you say that you're a Christian?
It frightens me.
I would rather hang out with a pagan than a Christian who's working for the devil's purposes.
But there are many who go to churches right now that are not taking a stand.
They're saying, well, we're just going to sit on the fence.
I'm here to tell you, the devil owns the fence.
You think you're in a safe place.
You're working for the dark side.
If you do not get off that fence, and choose and join with people who are trying to fight for truth, fight against corruption, fight against wickedness and lies.
If you think you can sit this one out, I'm here to tell you you're deeply mistaken.
And many, many Germans who said, I'm a Christian, they sat it out and the results were a nightmare.
I cover that in the book.
I have.
To make it very clear that I didn't make this up.
It happened.
God allowed them to go with the flow.
And then history judges them.
They were not where they were supposed to be.
They were not doing what they were supposed to do.
And we know that evil won.
And that's where we are.
I have a quote right here from St.
Augustine.
The heretics lie in wait, hidden in the cloak of the Christian name.
Because it's much easier, it's much easier, you know, if you're, if you're the demon at the door, the demon at the gate, and you're, you're, you know, this is, you know, warfare is like this as well, right?
If you're the enemy at the gate, then of course I know you're the enemy, I can see you, I can count your number, I can find out ways to fight you, but if you come in, Claiming to be my friend, speaking my words, speaking my language, looking like me, sounding like me, but then all of a sudden just adding and subtracting a few words here and there, manipulating, subverting.
This is a far more pernicious path.
Because on the face of it, you might say something like, Jesus loves us, or I don't know, He gets us.
But instead, and it sounds like something that's about loving Christ, but actually it's leading you to a different place.
Think about that.
What could be more diabolical?
That's why all the Christians that are involved in opening the door to evil, whether it is in churches or in their communities, It's much worse when you're a Christian, when you claim the name of Christ and you say, I'm a Christian, and you're working with the dark side.
That's far more horrifying than somebody says, I'm a pagan, I believe in nothing, I'm an atheist, I believe in nothing.
You have no excuse.
But if you're a Christian, whoa, it is a scary thing.
So I mentioned before that Rob Reiner has made a film, it's coming out soon, about Christian nationalism, the boogeyman of Christians getting involved in politics and saying that they want to destroy democracy.
Think of the irony.
That's exactly the opposite of the truth, right?
We want to preserve this republic.
We want to preserve freedom.
We want free speech.
We don't want to censor those with whom we disagree.
It is so diabolical.
They're saying exactly the opposite.
And he got Christians, ostensible Christians, like Russ Moore, the head of Christianity Today, like David French, like Phil Vischer, who started VeggieTales.
He got them to participate in this film.
That is calling for Christians to be silent in the face of evil.
There's a new book out by Tim Alberta.
He was a writer for the Atlantic Monthly.
It's saying exactly the opposite of what I'm saying in my book, Letter to the American Church.
And people are, they're drinking this Kool-Aid.
They're thinking, yeah, I don't need to do anything.
Andy Stanley, a year ago, came out with a book, Not In It to Win It, saying that if you get involved politically, oh, you're just a power monger.
You're just a culture warrior.
That's what they said about people who oppose the slave trade.
That's what they said about people who opposed murdering the unborn.
All right, all right, all right.
But, but.
On and on goes.
Two minutes to go here, Eric.
I gotta ask you, the other clobber phrase, the other clobber phrase, because I was reading some of the comments as we were chatting, the other clobber phrase that people use out of Scripture all the time is, turn the other cheek.
Shouldn't you Christians just turn the other cheek?
Isn't that what your Scripture tells you to do?
Why do you want to defend Christendom?
Yeah, I mean what could be more meaningless than taking something out of context, you know?
Turn the other cheek means I guess we shouldn't have a military to protect us, you know?
From evil people who want to come and, you know, rape our daughters.
We shouldn't have a police force.
That's what the left has done.
They have taken, they've cherry-picked some scriptures and they've created this insane doctrine that says having a border is racist.
No, no.
This is, look, this is shallow, sloppy thinking and the devil uses it and it works on many Christians.
My point is, If you're one of those Christians that's going along with this, you shouldn't not only just disagree with it, you need to get involved.
So I'll say the website again, it's lettertotheamericanchurch.com.
You can do a free screening at your church.
People need to begin discussing this, need to be discussing, have you been guilty of silence and inaction?
And you know, in the last couple pages of the scripture, it says, who's going to be cast into the lake of fire?
The cowardly.
That is a scary thing.
Courage is not extra credit Christianity.
Every one of us is called to live out our faith with bravery, with courage.
And we're living in a time of such madness.
Jack, you and your audience know this better than anybody.
If you're any kind of Christian, you need to be at the forefront of fighting against evil in our time.
It is biblical.
And it is something that God invites us into.
It's a joyous, glorious thing, but he doesn't force us.
And so this is, it's a chilling moment because we all know the hour is very late.
If we don't, if we don't get involved now, in Germany by 1935, it was over.
Bonhoeffer knew it was over by a short window of opportunity.
This is it for America.
Letter to the American Church, the great Eric Metaxas.

I always say, by the way, throw one of these in the back of your car.
I was getting stories yesterday in the huge snowstorm in Philadelphia, New York, of people getting stuck in their cars for four hours, five hours, even one.
My aunt texted me, said that someone was stuck for seven hours in their car, couldn't get out, no food, no water.
I said, look, that's why you throw one of these things in the back of your Car.
All right, we don't know what's going on yet with the Russian space lasers, but we do know that the House has voted to impeach Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security.
Mike Davis joins us now.
Mike, where does this go next?
Because a lot of people were cheering this last night, and I said, look, I don't know how this is going to play out in the Senate, but let's bring Mike Davis on because he knows the answer to that.
I imagine that the Senate will set up some sort of an impeachment Committee who will pretend to look at these allegations and then not do very much with it and probably bury it.
You know, they might have Republican support to get rid of this impeachment because we have the Uniparty in the Senate who's more concerned about sending our taxpayer money, you know, $60 billion to Ukraine rather than securing our border.
They proved that over and over.
Can't imagine there's going to be much appetite in the United States Senate by either party to do much about Alex, this Mayorkas and his obvious, obviously impeachable offenses where this guy has violated his oath to protect our country, to enforce federal law.
He's actually willfully ignored it in order to import 10 million illegal migrants, illegal immigrants into this country.
Many of them unvetted from dangerous places around the world.
So they're going to bring their crime, their murders, their rapes, their kidnappings, their robberies, their carjackings.
They're going to bring their fentanyl and the resulting deaths.
Mayorkas absolutely should be impeached.
Well, and by the way, so we have this huge this huge narrative that's going on right now about a potential national security threat to the United States.
You know, they're making this out to be like Washington, D.C. is about to get blown up.
And I've sort of, you know, been joking.
Oh, do the Russians have space lasers, Russian space lasers?
Is that what's going on?
Because, of course, it's all coming from the same.
And look, you know, show me the report.
Right.
Fine.
But you got to say it seems a little suspicious when all of this is coming from the Ukraine spending guys at the time that we know that the House is saying that they don't want to vote for this massive foreign aid package.
And you want to talk about national security threats?
How about 10,000 people coming across our border every day?
And then the government or government backed NGOs, giving those people plane tickets and allowing them onto airplanes into the interior of our country?
Gosh, what could go wrong?
You know, what could go wrong?
Exactly.
I mean, we're so the D.C.
Uniparty is so focused on sending tens of billions of dollars To their defense contractors in Ukraine that we've really taken our eye off the ball on the real national security threats, including China and including our southern border.
Well, OK, that being said, though, let's go back to this this aspect of the trial.
Does the Senate have to hold a trial once they're given articles of impeachment?
Is that required?
How does the rules work?
No, I mean, generally what they do, if they if they have impeachments for a president, they're going to have a trial with the full Senate, right?
But when they have impeachments for cabinet secretaries or other officers, you can send those to a committee, right?
You can have like a trial by committee and then they can make a recommendation to the House.
This is what they've done on federal judges in the past.
I seriously doubt the Senate is going to hold a trial for the Mayorkas impeachment with the full Senate.
I think that Schumer is going to understand that that would suck up a lot of their floor time that they could be using on confirming their judges and, you know, spending money on Ukraine and other things that are more important to the Democrats and, frankly, the D.C.
Uniparty.
So I imagine that the Senate's going to come up with a way to bury this impeachment trial as quickly as they can.
Well, and see, this is what I was saying last night, and I got a lot of flack for it, man.
I got a lot of flack because people were cheering.
People were popping the champagne bottles and really enjoying Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras and all of it.
And I said, look, I'm with you.
Great.
We impeached the guy.
Awesome.
But that doesn't mean there's automatically going to be a trial because it's not MAGA that controls the Senate.
And it's not it's not even Republicans that control the Senate.
Mitch doesn't even control the Senate, which by the way, I would point out that Mitch did control the Senate when he presided over both of the impeachments of President Donald Trump.
And so this is this is a situation or I guess the you know, the second one was as there was a transition, but this is a situation where they easily don't necessarily have to have a trial.
They can get out of this and so we can take this Pyrrhic victory and say, okay, we got that's great.
We impeached him and we got points on the board and you know, we're painting them in a bad light.
But what I'm saying is is this actually points on the on the board or was it just something cool that we did for the fans at home?
Well, you know, I actually think it was important that the House did this because, you know, if you're a cabinet secretary, you don't want to be the first cabinet secretary in 150 years who's been impeached because you failed to do your job.
You intentionally did not do your job.
You intentionally ignored federal law.
You intentionally violated federal law by mass releasing these illegal immigrants into our country.
And this has created grave danger in our communities, and it's overrun Or cities, right?
These sanctuary cities who pretend like they wanted all these illegal immigrants, all of a sudden they don't.
I split my time between Colorado and D.C.
I'm out here in Colorado now.
I'll tell you that people in Denver are not happy that Denver's been overrun by illegal immigrants, including Denver Health that's been overrun by illegal immigrants, and now they're going to have to cut services to people around the Denver community, including people who need the services the most, Like, you know, Black Americans and the Hispanic Americans in these low-income communities are the ones who are going to get hurt by these illegal immigrants flooding into our country.
Well, and that's exactly right.
And so the way that I look at it, and look, I'm not trying to be a party pooper here, folks, and I agree, right?
It's great.
I think it's great.
But where my skepticism comes in is, look, Eric Holder, right?
Eric Holder was found in contempt during the Obama administration.
And that was something that, you know, Republicans held up and said, look, we got it.
We held him in contempt.
But did it actually stop Eric Holder from doing anything?
Has this stopped the flow of illegals across our border?
I want to look at the tangible effects that this is going to have for the American people and for our country.
Look, I want to celebrate.
I want this guy Well, look, I think it's important that they did this because I think it gives the House more powers to investigate.
and muddied up for political purposes too, of course.
But I guess the reason that I'm trying to come to this with a note of skepticism is because I want to know if it's actually going to work. - Well, look, I think it's important that they did this because I think it gives the House more powers to investigate if you have an impeachment inquiry versus general oversight, you can get past executive privilege and you don't have to have a legislative purpose with an impeachment inquiry versus legislative oversight.
And it's also important to send a message to these leftists that there are going to be consequences for your actions.
Can they hold hearings?
Can they hold hearings?
What do you mean?
Can they hold hearings?
Can they, can the impeachment, can they hold hearings?
What do you mean?
The, the house?
Can there be an, yeah.
Can the house hold, you know, full, just like the J6 committee, can we have hearings on Mayorkas that are run in prime time?
Sure.
I mean, they could say, look, we're going to continue our impeachment investigation or impeachment inquiry.
We may add impeachment charges.
Sure, they can.
They could do that.
Look, they need to make this front and center that this illegal immigration that Biden has done intentionally to open up our southern border and import 10 million illegal immigrants And it's election interference.
Mike, sorry, we're coming up on a quick break.
Let me put a pin in that right there.
We'll come right back with you and let you finish your thought because this is important, folks.
Impeaching a cabinet member hasn't been done in 150 years. - I'm always listening to Human Events with Jack Posobiec. - All right, Jack Posobiec back live, Human Events Daily, Mike Davis on Folks, the world is in flames.

Mike, You mentioned that Mayorkas, and of course it is historic, first guy, first cabinet member, 150 years to be impeached.
We've had judges.
We've had a couple of presidents.
Now we've got Mayorkas.
First one, 150 years.
How do you think this affects him on a personal level?
I think this is going to affect him.
I think it's getting under his skin.
I think it would be embarrassing.
Look, regardless of what we think about Mayorkas, he actually has serious credentials.
He was the U.S.
attorney for Clinton out in Los Angeles.
He was the director of one of the service bureaus within DHS under Obama.
Then he was the deputy secretary of DHS for Obama.
Now he's the secretary For Biden, and you know, he has a serious background, serious credentials, and he's the first cabinet secretary in 150 years who's been impeached for failing to do his job for intentionally disregarding federal law.
So I can't imagine that that's a good thing for him and that he's proud of the fact that he's been impeached.
So he's impeached.
Let's go over to the lawfare section when it comes to President Trump.
We know that a number of these cases are going forward.
The big one, I think, presidential immunity.
Can you give us an update where that is?
Yes.
So the Supreme Court is deciding whether to halt these cases pending its review of whether a former president is immune from prosecution by his successor.
Based upon his official acts as the President of the United States.
We have immunity for both civil and criminal prosecution for members of Congress through the Speech or Debate Clause in the Constitution.
Federal judges are also immune both civilly and criminally.
Right now, the President's only immune civilly because we've never had a President charged like President Biden and these Democrats have charged Trump four times With these bogus charges against him.
So now I think the Supreme Court is going to have to take this case.
Remember, even Jack Smith back in December said the Supreme Court had to take this case when Jack Smith was pushing the Supreme Court to skip the D.C.
Circuit and just take the case.
An extraordinary request by Jack Smith.
So I don't know how Jack Smith and the Biden Justice Department can turn around Now, two months later, and say, oh, no, no, no, the Supreme Court can't take this case.
It's the D.C.
Circuit decided so the Supreme Court should not take this case that he can't have it both ways.
The Supreme Court's going to have to take this case through the normal appellate process.
And that includes letting Trump go to the DC Circuit and seeking en banc or full court review first, and then they're going to decide and then Trump's going to file a cert petition.
So this is not the bottom line, Jack.
This case with Jack Smith and DC, the January 6th case, is not going to get resolved before the presidential election.
By the way, we do have breaking news.
I apologize, Mike, and I'll just say this.
On the quote-unquote national security threat, ABC News is now reporting, I was sort of halfway joking earlier about the Russian space lasers, they're saying that Russia is quote-unquote planning to put nuclear weapons in space, not to drop them onto Earth, but rather possibly use against satellites.
Quote, it's very concerning and very sensitive, said one source who called it, quote, a big deal.
So that's where we got, folks, Russian space lasers, Russian nuclear space lasers.
Now that's why we've got to pass this money for you.
Mike, something tells me, though, that when we have a situation... Look, we know Russia's a nuclear threat.
Russia's always been a nuclear threat.
That's why President Trump has said that we should seek rapprochement with them.
That's why he wanted to seek peace deals with North Korea, if anybody remembers this stuff.
This is why, to encapsulate everything that you've said, this is why they're running these bogus cases against him because they don't want someone in there who wants peace with the world's nuclear powers.
Yeah, I mean, it sounds like we might have to take that $60 billion that we're going to send to Ukrainian oligarchs and to our defense contractors in Ukraine, and maybe we should send it to our Space Command, our Space Force, right?
I mean, if the threat is actually that- This is the founder of the U.S.
Space Force!
Yeah, I mean, we need to- Sorry, guys, the bigger threat is Russia blowing up our satellites in space, so Ukraine, sorry.
Sorry, you're going to lose three Russian-speaking provinces in eastern Ukraine, but we need to defend our satellites, so we're going to spend our $60 billion on Trump's space force instead of in Ukraine.
I mean, we really look at this stuff, and again, to your point, right?
We know the world is a place that has threats.
We know the world is a place where we have adversaries.
That's the entire point.
I teach my kids about this.
I say, watch out for, you know, tricky people.
Watch out for people who come up and say they know your mom, they know your dad, and they should, you know, get in the car or something like this.
We know the world has threats.
We know the world is a dangerous place.
That doesn't mean that we panic, and that certainly doesn't mean that you go along with every single neocon that tells you the only way to deal with these threats is through warfare, is through direct mobilization, or proxy wars, supporting proxy wars overseas, whether it be in the Middle East, whether it be against Iran, whether it be in Eurasia, against Russia, there are other ways to deal with these specific threats.
Yeah, I mean, think about where we are with Ukraine.
We had President Obama put Vice President Biden in charge of Ukraine, and Biden's went on the take, including $10 million from Burisma, allegedly.
You saw Putin smelling Biden's weakness, and you saw Putin taking advantage of that.
and going into Crimea.
We had four years of peace and prosperity, four years of peace and prosperity under Trump in Ukraine.
You didn't see any aggression by China, by Russia, anywhere, really.
And so then Biden's back and Russia wants to take the rest of Ukraine.
I would say to these people who are with their Ukraine flags in their profiles and in their yards, if you want to bring peace and prosperity to the world, if you want to make sure that we don't have bad actors running out of time, we need them back 100%.
