| But more than that, I saw mostly the maskies just sort of obviously frustrated with what's happening to their horrible city here that was already pretty horrible. | ||
| But now this is ridiculous. I mean, there are people that had their cars parked in garages on Friday, their cars stuck there for the whole week. | ||
| So, what I think is going on here, you know, you mentioned, I mentioned the National Guard. | ||
| They're slinging their rifles, but no ammunition. | ||
| They got concertina wire all around, four block radius, barricades, police all over the city, curfew. | ||
| You really just can't come into the city. | ||
| A friend of mine texted me the other day and asked, hey, I'm thinking about coming in. | ||
| What's it like there? And I'm like, you're not going to be able to come in. | ||
| You're not going to be able to do anything. What's interesting is we were just told by the security at the security checkpoint that they are going to allow the public in on Wednesday for the inauguration. | ||
| That, to me, was a surprise. | ||
| However, I'd be willing to bet anything that they're going to have a very highly vetted crowd, a small, highly vetted crowd of Let me just focus on this for me real quick. | ||
| So what are the checkpoints like? | ||
| Or how do you get through the checkpoints? | ||
| And then they're saying that there'll be a public area there for the inauguration? | ||
| Where will that be? Well, so the checkpoints, it's about a four block radius all around the Capitol. | ||
| There's about four or five entry points. | ||
| We were allowed one entry point for our access. | ||
| The security is made up of Border Patrol, Customs, Metro Police, National Guard. | ||
| To enter, you first need credentials to get in, and then they have bomb-sniffing dogs check out all of our equipment, go through our gear, go through a metal detector, go through. | ||
| All very friendly. | ||
| Once we get through, there's basically a walkway between the fence and the fence. | ||
| There's like a fenced-in area walkway around the Capitol. | ||
| So that is where the only place they would allow the public to So basically, they've got a whole square mile radius outside of the Capitol even, where they have the walls and everything set up, kind of like what they did at the RNC and the DNC, where it's like you couldn't even see the venue. | ||
| They had the walls of security and the checkpoint so far removed from the actual venues. | ||
| So, I mean, can you even see the Capitol? | ||
| I mean, you're at a raised perspective right now. | ||
| But on the ground, could you even see the Capitol? | ||
| No. No, you can see the Capitol, but you can't see the stage. | ||
| You can't see the inauguration area. | ||
| The only way you're going to see it is from up here. | ||
