Daily Truth host addresses financial struggles under Joe Biden, urging listeners to leave five-star reviews to combat shadow banning rather than donate. He contrasts Western practices of sending elderly parents away with cultures where families care for them until death, citing Jim Wilson's peaceful passing surrounded by kin. While scripture suggests children need saving, the speaker argues caring for aging parents demands significant physical and time burdens alongside costs. With four young children, he views God's design requiring parental energy as a mercy despite personal desires for free time. Ultimately, the episode emphasizes practical honor over financial support, highlighting upcoming ministry endeavors like a Theonomy conference and documentary while stressing that strategic reviews ensure biblically faithful content reaches those in need. Raising Children in Fear of the Lord00:06:34
All right, listen, guys, I get it.
Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Praise God for you and that endeavor.
However, algorithms are a thing.
Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five star review.
Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend.
We hope you'll take the time to do so.
Thank you so much.
God bless.

Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
Honor your father and mother.
And I do believe that this includes, at some level, as best we can with the resources that God has given us, not just to give mere lip service to our father and mother, but to honor them in practical, tangible ways.
Our society has done a terrible job at honoring our father and mother.
A terrible job at honoring our father and mother.
When our fathers and mothers get old, We send them to the glue factory.
We ship them off.
We let somebody else deal with that problem.
Whereas there are many cultures and societies where fathers and mothers, when they reach an elderly stage of life, they live with their grown children until they die.
And that's just the way that the society and culture functions.
I think of my parents and my grandmother.
When she was older and could not care for herself, They moved her into their home, and she died physically in that house.
And they were there caring for her, of course, outsourcing some medical expertise towards those later moments of life when she was in physical pain.
But they honored my dad's mother, that she died with them.
She didn't die surrounded by strangers.
She died surrounded by people that she loved, that she knew.
My mother did the same for her mother.
They weren't able to bring her into the home, but my mother was gone for several months collectively with her mother when she had leukemia when she died, caring for her, loving her, comforting her, reminding her of God's promises, singing some of her favorite hymns, sharing with her some of her favorite Bible verses.
I think of Jim Wilson, who recently passed away.
Doug Wilson's father, he passed away in the home with the family.
That as he got older, Doug and Nancy, they left their house and they moved into Jim's house.
It seemed to make more sense for whatever reason, practically.
And when he died, he had his son, daughter in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, about 20, 25 individuals, all in all, singing and praying around his bed as he breathed his last breaths and entered into glory.
Honoring your father and mother.
Now, practically, one of the implications of honoring your father and mother. Is money.
Money.
At some level, to care for your parents as they age will likely require some inconvenience.
It could just simply be having to move homes or this or that, but it also might involve money.
Now, the scripture also says it is not right for the children to save up for the parents, but rather that the parents would save up for the children.
So that's not an excuse for us, before we reach a point of being elderly, to do our best to store up.
An inheritance, not only for our children, but our children's children.
So, as best we can, that we would not be a financial burden, but it will be a physical and time burden, and God has orchestrated things in his providence and sovereignty in such a way.
Right now, my wife and I have four young children.
Later in life it's likely that we'll have more money than we currently do, but we won't have more energy than we currently do.
And right now, with the stage of our children, what they need is energy.
They need parents who can run after them.
They can be with them, training them, loving them, encouraging them, disciplining them, teaching them 12 hours a day.
And I praise God that it's 12 hours a day.
Really, 10 if you can really get a good nap in there.
I mean, when you think about it, right, waking up at 7, going to bed at 7, getting a little nap from 1 to 3, whatever it may be, in that two, three year old age, if God didn't design children.
To require as much sleep as they do, the human race would have ended.
I really think because of our sin and our selfishness, I really think we would have been done by now, like thousands of years ago.
So it's the mercy of God that children require as much sleep as they do.
And it's the mercy of God that God gives us, if we're willing, many children.
Seeking Generous Support for Better Films00:05:48
Because as tiring as it sometimes is, there's no greater blessing apart from marriage and salvation itself.
I thought I knew the things in life that would make me happy.
And I've realized again and again and again that every single one of the things that I thought would make me happy actually made me miserable.
That I've always been wrong.
Like always.
So I think I need more free time.
God thinks I need four kids.
And those things are at odds with one another.
One made me anxious, too much time.
The other made me joyful.
It's good for a man to go to bed tired.
To live a full life, to spend himself for someone else.
So, honoring your father.
All right, all right, all right.
Stop twisting my arm.
I know you want to hear the inside scoop.
Here it is the glorious vision of Right Response Ministries for the first half of next year, 2023.
We have not one, not two, but three massive endeavors that we will accomplish by the grace of God.
The first you already know about it's our Theonomy and Post Millennialism Conference.
This is selling out incredibly fast.
Fast.
By the time this commercial airs, you may not even be able to get a ticket.
I really don't know.
So don't waste another moment.
Go to rightresponseconference.com, rightresponseconference.com to join us for the Theonomy and Post Millennialism Conference next year.
Now, this is where you come in.
We need your help.
Our next two endeavors are number one, a documentary style film, and number two, a brand new studio.
Both of these things are seeking to accomplish one primary goal, which is excellent, high quality, glorious Christian media.
We are tired of, as Christians, doing things poorly.
We've done our best with what we have, but by God's grace, we want to do even better.
This is not going to be just another video.
This is not going to be a sermon or an interview or a podcast, but we're going to make a documentary style film.
And we're going to be hiring Nathan Anderson, the director of On Earth as It Is in Heaven, a very, very successful post millennialism documentary that's on Amazon and YouTube, came out a couple years ago.
He's going to be flying in from Chile to help us direct this film.
And our documentary is going to be on postmillennialism and theonomy why it's biblically valid, why it's absolutely necessary, and why, by the grace of God, theonomy and postmillennialism are currently on the rise.
So we're going to make this film, and we need your support.
And not just this film, but we're going to make all of our videos and podcasting and everything we do here at Right Response Ministries better.
We want to achieve the highest level of quality and Christian excellence that we possibly can.
That's where the new studio comes in.
This new film, our date that we're shooting for is that it would be complete and publicly available in May or June of 2023, next year.
The studio, our goal is that it would be completely done in its construction and the equipment and the setup and the stage and everything by January, February of 2023, next year.
We need your prayers, we need your encouragement.
And for those of you who are willing to do so, we need your generous support.
You can give towards these endeavors by going to rightresponseministries.com forward slash donate.
