DAILY TRUTH - How Do We Conquer Sin?

Daily Truth host addresses listener support challenges caused by algorithmic suppression before pivoting to a ruthless theological confrontation with sin. Asserting that anxiety violates the command "be anxious for nothing," he identifies fear as disobedience, noting how recent sanctification exposes lingering sins despite prior progress. Urging believers to kill their sin through grace and mortify the flesh, the episode concludes by requesting five-star reviews to ensure biblically faithful content reaches those raising children in the fear of the Lord. Fear and Admonition of the Lord 00:04:09
All right, listen, guys, I get it.
Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Praise God for you and that endeavor.
However, algorithms are a thing.
Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five star review.
Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend.
We hope you'll take the time to do so.
Thank you so much.
God bless.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
We must be ruthless with our own sin.
Some of you, the reason why you are still enslaved to certain sins.
It's because you are far too gentle with your sin.
You deal so kindly and tenderly toward your sin.
Deal kindly and tenderly towards others, but be ruthless with your own sin.
Deal the death blow.
Don't just seek to manage, don't just seek to subdue.
To kill.
Kill your sin.
Mortify the flesh.
Put sin to death by grace.
Ruthlessly.
Many of us are far too merciful toward our sin and particularly the sin of fear.
And you heard me right.
The sin of fear.
Fear the Bible teaches us, brothers and sisters, be anxious for nothing.
The language biblically there is not a suggestion or helpful counsel at certain times and seasons, it is a command, which means to do otherwise is disobedience.
Be anxious for nothing, it's an all inclusive command.
Meaning that if you are anxious for anything, you're disobeying.
Once again, this is another area where I have struggled immensely.
Now, by God's grace, this is an area where He has sanctified me so much.
And yet, I realized that in a really unique way, just over the last month, this area where by God's grace and by His grace alone, I've seemingly gained so much victory over the past few years.
And all of a sudden, God will bring circumstances into your life that will just kind of dispel the darkness just enough to show you the sin that still remains.
It doesn't mean that you haven't made any progress.
It doesn't mean that the Lord has not been faithful to sanctify you.
But it means that the Lord is allowing some kind of circumstance, something to happen in your life, so that the sin that remains, although less than it previously was, because real victory has taken place, it still is bubbling to the surface in such a way that it becomes so visible.
Blatantly apparent.
Fear.
That's something that the Lord has revealed.
Thanks so much for listening.
But, real quick, before you go, do us a small favor.
Take a moment and leave us a five star review if you enjoyed the show.
This is undoubtedly the best way that you can help us get this biblically faithful content to as many people as possible.
Thanks so much.
