Sound Doctrine and Righteous Life00:04:29
All right, listen, guys, I get it.
Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Praise God for you and that endeavor.
However, algorithms are a thing.
Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five star review.
Also, perhaps even more effective than that, You can share our podcast with a friend.
We hope you'll take the time to do so.
Thank you so much.
God bless.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
The man of God is to command what God commands.
One of the weapons that he wields as a defense.
As a strategy to combat the wrongful contempt of his hearers, is courage and the authority of command.
His teaching.
Command and teach these things.
He must possess sound doctrine.
And the sound doctrine, the biblically faithful teaching which he possesses, he should courageously, courageously.
Present that to his hearers.
Not softly, not apathetically, not cowardly, but courageously and confidently command these things.
One of the weapons that the man of God has is the teaching of the Word of God, it is sound doctrine, it is the message.
It's the message.
The true apostolic biblical message, and he is to wield it with courage and with authority and with confidence, he is to command, not merely suggest.
The second weapon, however, that the man of God possesses in order to combat the wrongful contempt of his hearers is to set the believers an example.
See, in addition to this, Timothy is not.
To disallow, or he is to disallow the scorning of his hearers, but not merely by being confident in his doctrine and teaching, but he is also to disallow the scorning of his hearers through setting an example for his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ by living a godly life.
It's the message and the man.
It's both.
It's not either or, it's both and in this case.
The message and a man.
In the message, sound doctrine.
Have the right message.
With a man, godly character.
Leading a godly life.
You could almost say it this simply In the message, you better be right.
In your life, you better be righteous.
How do we combat the wrongful scorn and contempt?
Of our hearers, be right and be righteous.
And eventually, as God is my witness, they will be put to shame.
In this life, or if nothing else, in the life to come, they will be put to shame.
For dishonoring God and for dishonoring you.
Thanks so much for listening.
But, real quick, before you go, do us a small favor, take a moment, and leave us a five star review if you enjoyed the show.
This is undoubtedly.
The best way that you can help us get this biblically faithful content to as many people as possible.
