DAILY TRUTH - Fight The Good Fight

Daily Truth host redefines Christian gentleness as bold, satirical conflict for God's glory rather than passive avoidance, citing Jesus' harsh rhetoric against Pharisees and Paul's hyperbolic attacks on circumcisers. He argues that true biblical courage involves strong language and direct confrontation of error. The segment concludes by promoting the May 5th–7th Theonomy and Postmillennialism Conference featuring Dr. James White and others, emphasizing that fighting the good fight requires unapologetic defense of sound doctrine. Jesus' Gentle Fighting Style 00:04:52
Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request.
If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show, would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five star review?
This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible.
Thanks.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
A Christian gentleman is a fighting man.
If you don't fight, then you are greatly failing, greatly failing in the Christian life and what the Bible clearly defines as true gentleness.
Jesus was a fighter.
See, you don't crucify nice guys.
You don't even crucify gentle men in the way that the church in America has defined gentleness today.
If Jesus was gentle, by American evangelicals' definition of gentleness, he would have never been nailed to a cross.
You don't crucify nice guys, you crucify threats.
Jesus was bold.
At times, Jesus was brash.
Jesus used even satirical language.
Against his opposition, against his opponents.
Jesus said that the Pharisees were like whitewashed tombs.
They were pretty and bleached on the outside, but on the inside they were like a rotting corpse that reeked of death and decay.
Jesus says all these kinds of things.
It's satirical language.
Jesus is poking jabs at the opposition, but all of it, Is toward the goal of bringing glory to the Father.
See, gentlemen, true gentlemen, Christian gentlemen, fight.
What makes someone gentle is not that they don't fight.
What makes someone gentle is that when they fight, not if, but when they fight, they fight for the right reasons.
They fight about the right things for the right reasons in the right way.
And the right way still includes a fight.
It includes at times strong language.
It includes courage.
It includes boldness.
From time to time, it may even include a little bit of satire towards your opponents.
Jesus modeled it.
So did the Apostle Paul.
Those circumcisers of the flesh, I wish they'd go the whole way and emasculate themselves.
That's hyperbole, satirical.
He is jabbing at the opposition.
Even to the church, he says.
Oh, foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?
AKA, I was just there.
I clearly preached truth.
You've already abandoned it.
It's as though you've fallen under some kind of spell.
Surely, underneath ordinary circumstances, you couldn't possibly be so dense.
This is the apostle.
This is the fighting style of Jesus.
And this must not be interpreted or understood as being something outside of gentleness.
This rather must be understood as something that falls well within the bounds of biblical gentleness.
So, the man of God must flee worldliness and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.
And that gentleness in no way stands in contradiction to the very third command, which is to fight.
Fight about the right things, God's glory, sound doctrine, and fight with the right motives for the right reasons.
God's glory, the good of God's people, and fight in the right ways.
Which at times, this is probably the most difficult category that requires the most maturity and discernment, but at times, fighting in the right way with gentleness can sometimes include very strong, poignant language.
