DAILY TRUTH - Faithful Ministry Is Slow

Daily Truth host reflects on Jesus' teaching that man lives by every word from God, asserting faithful ministry requires generational multiplication rather than quick results. While many American churches correctly embrace spiritual reproduction through the Holy Spirit, they often wrongly assume this growth happens rapidly. Contrasting modern expectations with Jesus' three-year training of disciples, the segment argues true multiplication occurs slowly over generations. Listeners are invited to review the show and attend an upcoming Right Response Conference featuring Dr. James White and others focused on post-millennialism and theonomy. Ultimately, the discussion challenges the culture of instant gratification in ministry, emphasizing that enduring faithfulness demands patience across generations. [Automatically generated summary]

Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
Ministry is about multiplication, and therefore, faithful ministers must think in terms of generations, and therefore, faithful ministry.
Is often slow.
Many in the American church today fully embrace the concept that ministry is about multiplication.
Perhaps the problem is that they see rightly that ministry is about multiplying ourselves.
And in multiplying ourselves, the goal is that we can multiply Christ.
That Christ, who is in us as we mature in Christ by the work of the Holy Spirit and his grace and sanctification, that we might begin to reproduce that in.
Others.
As Paul says, follow me as I follow Christ.
And so the church, I believe, at large, rightly acknowledges the reality that ministry is about multiplication.
I think perhaps the problem is that although the church recognizes that faithful ministry focuses on multiplication, they somehow assume that multiplication is going to be quick.
They somehow assume that a person would be able to grow themselves.
In Christ's likeness quickly, and then reproduce that same quality of Christ's likeness in the lives of others quickly.
But the reality is that most often this is not the case.
Even Christ himself took three years with his disciples, training them, equipping them, or I believe it would be faithful to say, entrusting something in them.
To them, making a spiritual deposit in their lives.
Christ didn't do a three day conference with the 12 and then send them off.
Christ invested in them day after day after day for years.
And they too spent not just moments, not just weekends, not just months, but their very lives with their disciples, entrusting something to them.
Ministry, faithful ministry, is focused on multiplication.
It has as its goal multiplication.
But faithful ministers, which all of us should be, recognize that more often than not, true multiplication will happen through generations of believers.
And therefore, it will occur slowly.
Thanks so much for listening.
