DAILY TRUTH - On That Final Day

DAILY TRUTH - On That Final Day announces a Right Response Conference featuring Dr. James White and others, then explores human finitude versus fallenness. The host explains that while believers remain finite regarding infinite knowledge, their glorified bodies will eliminate sickness and death on the final day. Sin vanishes completely, allowing partakers of the divine nature to share God's glory as described in 1 John and 2 Peter. Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
See, the human being, even the Christian, in this life is both finite and fallen.
Finite and fallen.
Now, in regards to our finitude, we're speaking of the fact that from the dust we were made to the dust we returned.
We're speaking of the fact that we're subject to viruses, right?
We're subject to sickness and disease and death and all these things.
We are finite human beings.
But we're not only finite as creatures, but we're also fallen.
You could be finite without being fallen.
Adam and Eve were finite as creatures, they weren't infinite.
Before sin ever entered the world, they were still finite, but not until sin entered the world did they become fallen.
In terms of our finitude, we could say that we experience sickness.
Well, in terms of our fallenness, we could say we experience sin.
But when we stand before God on that final day, if we've had faith in Jesus, if we've been truly born again by grace through faith in Christ alone, then when we stand before God on that final day and we receive our glorified bodies, we will still be finite in the sense that we won't be infinite like the Creator, but there are massive aspects of our finitude that will fall away.
Because we will have these new glorified bodies, meaning we will no longer ever, ever get sick.
We will no longer constitute change, physical change, in the sense that we are getting closer and closer to death.
We will never die.
We'll never gain any disease.
And not only that, that's speaking to our finitude, but also our fallenness will be no longer.
We'll no longer sin.
So much of you and my own disappointment and frustration.
Frustration and anger and sadness, and all these things that we hate about the human existence, so much of it is related to our own sin.
Well, when we see Him, 1 John says, we will be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
Speaking of Christ, when we stand before Him on that final day and receive our glorified bodies, we will see Jesus, that is, the sinless one, and we will be like Him, that is, we too, at that moment, sin will be no more.
We will be sinless as our sinless Savior is sinless.
We shall Be like him when we see him, for we shall see him as he truly is.
And so, a day is coming, brothers and sisters, where our own eternal blessedness is going to result from the fact that we will one day be transformed from these lowly bodies into glorified bodies where sickness and sin no longer reside.
Both finitude and fallenness.
Fallenness completely gone, no more sin, and finitude gone in the sense that there's no more disease, death, or decay.
Still finite in the sense that we will not have infinite knowledge, infinite wisdom.
God alone reserves that right.
He's the only infinite, truly infinite being because He is the Creator alone.
And even in heaven, we will still be His creatures.
But we will no longer be finite in the sense that we grow weary, that we grow tired, that we grow sick, that we grow diseased.
All these things will be gone away.
There will be a goodness that we possess that is a shared goodness that God is allowing us to share in His own glory, to share in His own blessedness.
And the more we share in God and His blessedness, the more blessed we too will be.
2 Peter, to illustrate the point I've just made, chapter 1, verse 3 through 4, says this His divine power.
Has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence, by which He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature.
Listen to that.
Through them, through these promises, through faith in Jesus, you and I will become partakers, we'll become co heirs, we'll become sharers in what?
The divine nature.
And what is the divine nature?
It's the blessed nature of God.
We too will become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
On that final day, brothers and sisters, when we stand before God clothed in the righteousness of Christ with new glorified bodies, we will be freed from all sin.
We will be partakers in the divine nature, and the divine nature is blessed.
And we too are blessed now, and we will be blessed exceedingly even more.
Thanks so much for listening.
