Noah And The Gospel explores how Noah's 120-year ark construction stemmed from fear of divine judgment rather than family bonding, illustrating that true faith involves hearing God's word and trusting future promises despite unseen realities. The segment argues believers must stand alone in evil ages by believing in a returning Judge who exposes every sin, concluding that only those sealed in Christ's righteousness survive this scrutiny, mirroring Noah's protection within the ark against impending doom. Thanks.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
I think what drove Noah, the most powerful wind in his sails, if you will, for 120 years of backbreaking labor in building this ark was not it's good exercise and not it's a great way to bond with my kids.
I think the big motivation was if I don't, I die.
If I don't, I drown.
Noah believed God, he believed the future promises of God.
Faith does not act by sight.
Faith is not by sight, but faith rather it hears.
It is the hearing of the word that builds faith.
And so it's not seeing things presently, visible, tangible, but hearing the word of God with the ears of faith and always, faith always is looking forward.
It looks back to the finished work of Christ.
It has, has the strength and resolve to presently follow Christ, but it's always looking forward to the future promises of Christ.
And so Noah was looking forward to his future salvation.
And the future promised judgment of what would happen if he disobeyed.
And I believe that this ultimately is what was driving Noah.
So, how do you stand alone in the midst of an evil age?
Well, you believe that there really is a God, and he really will, as he promised, return again to judge the living and the dead, and that each man will have to stand before this holy, holy, holy God, and the sins and every thought of his heart will be laid aside.
Bear before him, and he will be judged according to his works, and that no one will pass through this judgment unless they are sealed up in Christ and his righteousness, in the very same way that Noah was sealed up in the protection of the ark.
