Daily Truth host dissects saving faith into three elements: knowledge, assent, and implicit trust. He warns that lacking the third creates a biblically demonic state, citing James to show demons possess superior Trinitarian doctrine yet only tremble through compelled assent. Using a chair analogy, he explains true faith requires casting one's full weight on Christ, trusting His grace washes believers pure rather than works. Ultimately, this framework demands total reliance on Jesus' ability to sustain souls before God, urging listeners to share this vital truth via five-star reviews. [Automatically generated summary]

True Faith Requires Soul Weight00:03:33
Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request.
If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show, would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five star review?
This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible.
Thanks.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
So, real saving faith requires knowledge and assent.
But if we only have those two key elements without the third that I'll mention here in just a moment, that only really serves to help us graduate to the level of faith that is, biblically speaking, demonic.
See, the book of James, the New Testament says that even the demons believe.
Demons have faith.
What do they believe?
If you look at the context, they believe that God is one.
James is saying to his audience that he's writing to you believe God is one?
Good.
But even the demons believe that.
And the result of their belief is that they shudder.
They shrink back in fear.
They tremble.
Now, look, you don't tremble at something that's not true.
So the demons, they don't just have knowledge of the fact that God is three eternal persons and yet one in essence and being.
What's being said by James is ultimately this the demons have a better working Trinitarian doctrine than the best living scholars on earth today.
Demons have better doctrine and theology than you do and me.
So they know that God is three eternal persons and that he is one.
And they don't just know this.
Because just knowing something, if you don't agree that it's true, doesn't result in trembling.
See, the demons shudder because they know it and they have given, not eagerly, not joyfully, not willingly, but they have given nonetheless, because they must, their assent.
They agree with what they know.
See, the third and final component of true saving faith, Christian faith, is that we know that we grant assent and that lastly, we give our implicit Trust.
And with that, there is personal trust.
As a way of illustration, if there was a chair on the stage before me, I could look at the chair and I could say, I know that this is a chair.
I'm not an expert in chairs, but I've seen enough chairs in my life, and the concept of a chair is simple enough to where I can look at this chair and I know that this is a chair.
I see its chairness before me.
I recognize its chairness.
And not only do I know it's a chair, but I believe it's a true chair.
I've given my assent.
I agree that this is not just.
A chair, but it is a chair.
It is a true chair.
But I am not biblically having faith in the chair until I ultimately cast my weight upon it, trusting that it will hold me up, that it is able, that it is sufficient to do what it was created and designed to do.
In the same way, you are not truly trusting Jesus.
You do not have biblical faith in Jesus until you know Jesus from the scripture, you agree with what the scripture says about Jesus, and lastly, you Cast the full weight, not of your behind, but of your soul, on Jesus, believing that He is able and willing to sustain you before God on that final day, to wash you pure as snow by the sprinkling of His blood, to clothe you in His righteousness,
Presenting You Pure by Grace00:00:38
to present you pure and spotless and without blemish before God, not by works which you have performed, but by grace, that is the free gift of God, that is.
Laid hold of through the instrument of faith, which is knowledge, assent, and implicit trust in God, and that the object is Christ and His work, His person alone.
Thanks so much for listening.
But, real quick, before you go, do us a small favor take a moment and leave us a five star review if you enjoyed the show.
