QUESTIONS - Are There Any Methods Of Defying Tyranny That The Bible Forbids?

Host addresses whether biblical principles forbid defying tyranny through flashy protests, clarifying opposition to degeneracy rather than the act of protesting itself. While supporting street preaching at Pride parades or Planned Parenthood events to expose abortion issues, he admits personal discomfort with such crowds despite past success preaching Romans 1 in Taylor. Ultimately, the discussion distinguishes between biblically mandated exhortation and activities violating scriptural standards, urging listeners to review content for faithful guidance on resisting tyranny without compromising doctrine. Flashy Protests vs Objective Reality 00:01:28
Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request.
If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show, would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five star review?
This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible.
Thanks.
Am I against all forms of flashy protesting, such as a protest outside of Planned Parenthood or a public gay celebration?
Like a pride parade, probably, whoever.
Okay.
What are your thoughts?
Yeah, I do.
Yeah.
Yeah, no.
So this person's asking me about two specific things.
I'm not even against all protests in general.
Like, it doesn't even have to be something like clearly disgusting as, you know, Planned Parenthood or a pride parade.
So to me, it's not really about the fact that it's flashy, it's about what you're doing.
It's like, what are you actually doing there, right?
So if you're at the pride parade or the Planned Parenthood and you're preaching or you're You know, calling out to women to not kill their babies.
That's totally in line with God's commands.
You know, that's something that I would be in complete support of.
You know, and the same thing with the trucker rally, for example.
Like, again, take it out of Planned Parenthood for a second.
Even at the trucker rally, I'm not against, you know, pastors going there and preaching.
You know what I mean?
Street preaching is not against the laws of God.
Supporting Controversial Public Displays 00:01:27
So go ahead and do it.
You know what I mean?
To me, like, some of the protests, you know, Just have a tendency towards degeneracy, you know, and it doesn't mean they have to go to degeneracy, but oftentimes they do.
And that's the kind of thing I'm against.
So it's not so much that it's flashy, it's just like what is objectively happening.
And when I saw the trucker convoy, I just couldn't wrap my mind around what was objectively happening and why this was a good thing.
I just couldn't get that.
And so the answer to your question is no, I'm not against, you know, doing the Planned Parenthood thing.
Or going to the public pride parade.
I wouldn't go to that.
I don't know about that.
I did right here in Taylor.
I'm not saying it's wrong.
I'm just saying I would.
With my brother over there, it was great.
I selected a text.
I'm a crowd pleaser.
So I wanted to pick a text that I knew they'd appreciate.
So I preached expositionally through Romans 1 and they loved it.
Absolutely loved it.
Listen, I give you mad respect because to me, I would have a difficult time with that and staying.
Compose to be honest, so I wouldn't do it.
Be gentle, yeah.
Thanks so much for listening.
But, real quick, before you go, do us a small favor take a moment and leave us a five star review if you enjoyed the show.
This is undoubtedly the best way that you can help us get this biblically faithful content to as many people as possible.
Thanks so much.
